Listed below are detials on what happened to lead up to the match and the happenings in the match.[/COLOR][/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT][/LEFT] [LIST=1] [*][LEFT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]At One Night Stand 2008 Randy Orton vowed that if he could not beat Triple H for the WWE Title that he would leave RAW and never ask for a WWE Title Shot again. After a brutal battle Triple H ended up getting the win with a Pedigree onto a Steel Chair.[/SIZE][/FONT][/LEFT] [*][LEFT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]CM Punk ended up getting the win after a decent "Singapore" Cane match and announced that he would cash in his ECW World Heavyweight Title Shot on the June 3rd Edition of ECW.[/SIZE][/FONT][/LEFT] [*][LEFT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]Randy Orton showed up on the June 3rd Episode of ECW during the opening segment and demanded a job from General Manager Armando Estrada. Estrada of course came out and said that he could work out a contract with Orton throughout the episode.[/SIZE][/FONT][/LEFT] [*][LEFT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]During the Main Event after both Punk and Kane had entered into the ring Armando Estrada came out of the ECW Entranceway and announced that Randy Orton and him had struck a deal to where Orton would agree on an ECW Contract (For a lower price) if he got an ECW Title shot during the Main Event. He had an announcement to make concerning the well-being/future of Extreme Championship Wrestling. Mr. McMahon announced the following on the show.[/COLOR][/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT][/LEFT] [LIST=1] [*][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]Starting the first week of July ECW would be known as WWE: Empire and would be viewed on the same level as RAW and Smackdown. This would include a much needed upgrade to the talent roster, a new 90 Minute TV Deal on Sci-Fi and a faster paced product than RAW or Smackdown offer.[/SIZE][/FONT] [*][LEFT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]Vince McMahon announced that WWE: Empire would be aquiring the WWE Tag Team Titles from Smackdown and that he was instating a new belt to the brand known as the Empire TV Title. Plus the obvious renaming of the ECW Title to the Empire Title.[/SIZE][/FONT][/LEFT] [*][LEFT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]The Empire roster will obviously need to be bigger than the ECW Roster and Vince is giving Armando Estrada the right to try and persue RAW and Smackdown Superstars to enhance the brand.[/SIZE][/FONT][/LEFT] [*][LEFT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]EMPIRE will hold Pay Per Views the Fourth Sunday of every month that will be 2 and a half hours long featuring only EMPIRE Superstars.[/SIZE][/FONT][/LEFT] [*][LEFT][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]EMPIRE would focus on a more fast-paced and realistic wrestling product instead of entertainment that would be built to battle what could be competition in wrestling. Armando said that Kane had not earned a rematch... and in a move reminiscent of One Night Stand Kane told Estrada if he couldn't beat Randy Orton for the ECW Title he would never show his face in ECW again. Estrada granted him the match but told Kane in honor of the ECW of old it would be a no-disqualification match. Orton and Kane fought a big match that was very back and forth with Kane looking like he had the advantage. This allowed Orton time to get up while the Dibiase Brothers distracted Kane. Kane would then turn around and walk into an RKO from Orton. This however was not enough to put away Kane. The Dibiase's then rushed the ring and jumped Kane. Mike set up Kane for a Million Dollar Dream into a backbreaker and held Kane while Ted Jr. came off the Top Rope with a Leg Drop across Kane's throat. After this Orton and the Dibiase's picked Kane up.... Orton then delivered another RKO and got the win over Kane. Estrada announced to the fans in attendance (Who were more than likely there for Smackdown anyway) that the ECW Show would not go on and he has given Larry the tape guy a Best of Original ECW Tape in order to showcase the true spirit of ECW (Surprising move since we all know Estrada). However Estrada then went on to announce he had made NINE signings for his Empire Brand and he would reveal all of them to the crowd.[/SIZE][/FONT] [FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]The signings were revealed as Kenny Dykstra, Paul Burchill, D.H. Smith, TJ Wilson, Val Venis, Charlie Haas, Colt Cabana, Brian Kendrick and Matt Sydal. Each man came out on stage in an EMPIRE T-Shirt (Logo up soon lol).[/SIZE][/FONT]
