June 04,1998[/SIZE][/CENTER][/B][/I] [CENTER]Thunder opens up with the usual fireworks followed by cameras panning the arena for some interesting signs. Some of the signs noticed tonight read "Goldberg 95-1", "Eric Bischoff fears Ted Turner", and "Sting is WCW!". After the signs are seen a good deal of fireworks explode on the entrance ramp following the announcers welcoming everyone to Thursday's edition of WCW Thunder. [IMG]http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/7315/stingalt03mj7.jpg[/IMG] Following a few comments from the announcers, we see a video recap of the happenings that took place on Monday Nitro regarding Sting and both NWO factions. The video shows Sting come down and help the Wolfpack before first revealing his NWO Hollywood shirt...then revealing the NWO WOLFPACK shirt...and then finally showing his true colors by revealing his WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING T-SHIRT. STING IS WCW! ----------- From the Nitro recap we return to the ringside area where the fans in attendance are ready for Benoit vs Booker T FIVE. Whoever wins the match-up tonight will need only one more victory to clinch the number one contendership for the Television Championship and earn their right to go up against Fit Finlay. A video plays that shows the finishes of each of the four matches that have taken place between Benoit and Booker T over the last week and a half. Each finish is documented and at the end of the video a graphic saying "Booker T....2....Benoit......2....who will win the fifth?" ----------- [I]COMMERCIAL BREAK[/I] Following the commercial break, Booker T is in the ring alongside his brother Stevie Ray. Booker T said that Monday he and his brother were not on the same page. Booker said that he told Stevie Ray to stay backstage, but for some reason Ray decided to come out to the ring. Tonight though, things would be difference. Booker T promises that Stevie Ray will remain backstage and that he would beat Benoit clean tonight in the middle of the ring. Now can you dig that? It's obvious that the two are not fans of one another. However, Booker T and Benoit don't seem to have too many problems. They give a quick handshake before starting things off. Some good back and forth action during the course of this match-up. Neither man really took the distinct advantage early on. Booker T did manage to connect with a side kick after ducking a right hand by Benoit, however it was only a matter of time before the Rabin Wolverine snapped back and blocked a right hand of his own. Unfortunatley for Booker T when Benoit blocked his right hand he turned it into a Crippler Crossface. Booker T had no choice but to TAP OUT. NWO HOLLYWOOD's music blasts over the PA system and The Giant makes his way from the backstage area. Giant stands at the top of the entrance ramp and then motions for someone else to make their entrance. As The Giant points towards the entrance ramp none other than Scott Steiner made his way from backstage. The Giant then asks Scott Steiner how he would feel about being his new Tag Team partner...and with that being WCW Tag Team Champions. Scott Steiner smiled and then said that The Giant knows how Steiner has always loved those tag team straps. He says that if there is one thing that all his freaks out there know...is that Scott Steiner is a Pro in the Tag Team Division. Only thing is, the last few years he had been held down by his BIG...FAT...Brother Rick. However, Steiner says it'd be a PLEASURE to share the tag straps with a real man like The Giant. The Giant smiles and says....There you have it folks...Your NEW WCW Tag Team Champions...The Giant and Scott Steiner. Oh yea, and if anyone over there on the Wolfpack side of the tracks wants a shot at the straps...The Giant says come get it....and a matter of fact...come GET IT TONIGHT! Eddie takes control of things by turning that into a modified firemans carry followed by some submission work. Eddie seems to control most of this match-up until Eddie's nephew Chavo makes his presence felt about four minutes into things. Alex Wright connected with a snap suplex and then set Eddie on the top rope. Just as Alex was going to attempt a running superplex, Chavo Guerrerro ran down to the ringside area and dropkicked Eddie off the top rope. This resulted in Eddie Guerrerro winning by DQ. [B]Winner: Eddie Guerrerro[/B] Following the match Alex Wright looked on as [B]Chavo[/B] continued the beatdown on his uncle Eddie. It was obvious that Chavo wanted to get Eddie back into the ring for a singles match-up. However, if these attacks continue to get more and more brutal Eddie might not even be able to make it to the Great American Bash. ------------- Backstage, the two most prominent members of the Wolfpack Kevin Nash and Lex Lugar are watching the television monitors. He's a good friend, and a great athlete however there comes a time when a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. Luger says he has lost NO respect for Sting. He says that he thought he and Big Sexy taught The Giant enough of a lesson on Nitro. Then again, he remembers how hard headed The Giant was. He says he just hopes that after he and Big Sexy take the straps from Giant and Steiner tonight that the Giant will finally realize the mistake he made when joining the NWO Hollywood faction. In the last few weeks Finlay has proved to be a fighting champion wrestling on nearly each and every television broadcast no matter it be Nitro, Thunder, or even WCW Saturday Night. Tonight would be no difference. Psicosis tried to start things off fast paced bouncing off the ropes and showing his lucha libra style with a head scissors take over followed by some quick senton type splashes. However, after going from the pinfall he was easily pushed away. Psicosis grabbed Finlay and threw him outside the ring. Psicosis then went for a suicide dive, but Finlay caught him with an elbow to the face on the way down. Finaly tossed Psicosis back into the ring and quickly finished him off with a PILEDRIVER.1...2....3 [B]Winner: Fit Finlay (WCW Television Champion)[/B] ------------------------ Following the bout cameras cut to backstage where Raven's flock including Saturn are arriving at the arena. Raven motions for Saturn to come closer to him and slowly Raven begins to speak. Raven says that tonight it is up to Saturn to put the Flock back on the map. He said Destiny awaits the Flock...but without victory there is no destiny. Raven continues to ramble on to Saturn some things he said made sense others didn't. When Raven was finished Saturn made a smart remark to his leader. "What about me? What about Saturn?" Raven was dumbfounded by the remark. He slapped Saturn in the face and told him to snap out of it. He said get out there and win...OR ELSE! During the opening moments of this match-up the rest of the Flock took their all to familiar ringside seats. Saturn beat down Glacier like a rag doll in this match. The match itself was very one-side. Saturn worked over Glacier first with varios strikes inluding two side kicks that took Glacier into the corner. Next, Saturn took Glacier down with a Death Valley Driver. However, one was not enough. He brought Glacier to his feet a second time and then looked over at Raven as to be looking for his support. Then again...BOOM...another Death Valley Driver. However, this time Saturn accidentally hit the referee with Glacier's foot on the way down. With the referee down there was nobody to make the count. Saturn looked over at Raven as to be asking him what to do then walked over to the ref. While helping the ref to his feet another referee ran down to the ringside area. The second referee made the count....1......2 Then he stood up. The second man was no referee at all. It was Chris Kanyon. Kanyon grabbed Saturn and layed him out with the FLATLINER just as the first referee was coming back to conciousness. Kanyon pulled Glacier atop Saturn and the initial referee made the count...1...2.....3. [B]Winner: Glacier[/B] Following the match, Kanyon left a "Mortis" mask in the ring as he had done a lot lately. However, other than that Kanyon was gone. Raven, on the other hand, had just jumped the guard rail and entered the ring. He helped Saturn to his feet and then pushed him over to the corner. "Don't you get it Saturn? Did you think I was joking?" From there, Raven sent Saturn crashing back down to the mat with a DDT. Raven sat in the corner and spoke some more. Saturn, people like you shouldn't take your orders lightly. You looked at your match with Glacier tonight and then underestimated the events that could take place. Saturn, your a fool. However, you're a fighter. From there Raven motions for the rest of the Flock to help Saturn to his feet. It looks as if this was just some form of Tough Love by Raven and the Flock. ---------------- "Don't Turn Your Back on The Wolfpack...You Might End up in a Body Bag" Two members of the Wolfpack, Rick Rude, and Konnan both make their way out to atop the entrance ramp. Rick Rude gets on the mic and says that due to some unfortunate events regarding his knee injury Curt Hennig would not be able to make it to the arena tonight. However, Rude says he would like to introduce the world again...to his replacement for the Great American Bash....Konnan.... Then he translates. He said that Goldberg thinks he is all big and bad because he has had almost a hundred wins without a loss. Konnan says the problem is that each and everytime Goldberg has stepped in the ring it has been against CHUMPS...not a real competitor like K-Dawg. Konnan says K-Dawg...and the Wolfpack are BOWDY BOWDY AND ROWDY ROWDY....he says at the Great American Bash Goldberg is going to get a little taste of the THE TEQUILA SUNRISE! --------- [B] WCW CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH [IMG]http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/1973/deanmalenkobx2.jpg[/IMG][B]VS[/B][IMG]http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/6250/billykidmanalt03xa1.jpg[/IMG] Dean Malenko (Champion) vs Billy Kidman(Challenger)[/B] Billy Kidman starts things off the only way he knows how. Crazy as hell. He bounces off the ropes and then takes Malenko down with a dropkick to the knees. Next he connects with a big leg drop across the back of Malenko's head. Kidman then throws Malenko outside where his cronies from the Flock all take turns hitting him from across the guard rail. It seems as if the referee lets it go since it was outside the ring. Finally, after what seems like ages Kidman takes Malenko back in the ring. This was his downfall. Malenko ducked a right hand and then bounced off the ropes and took Kidman down with a flipping dropkick that only Malenko had perfected. After the picture perfect dropkick the cruiserweight champion locked in the Texas Cloverleaf for the win. [B]Winner: Dean Malenko (Cruiserweight Champion)[/B] Following the match-up Dean Malenko watches on as Raven and the rest of the Flock pull Kidman out of the ring and give him some tough love just as they had done to Saturn earlier. Kidman is beaten down on one side of the ring when .... SMACK! [IMG]http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/8351/chrisjerichoalt06gj1.jpg[/IMG] Chris Jericho blasts Dean Malenko with his own cruiserweight title on the other side of the ring. Jericho continues the assault until security runs in a pulls him off of Malenko. It is very obvious that Chris Jericho wants his chance at that cruiserweight title and he is pulling out all the stops to get it. Jericho stands tall following the attack holding the cruiserweight title above his head. [I]-COMMERCIAL BREAK-[/I] [I]SLIIM JIM WCW POWER PLANT GREAT AMERICAN BASH[/I] [B]Raven's Rules Match [IMG]http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/4779/ravenalt02gf8.jpg[/IMG][B]VS[/B][IMG]http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/8154/glengilberttialt01yr0.jpg[/IMG] Raven VS Disco Inferno[/B] For the third time tonight, a member of Raven's Flock is in the ring. Raven just sits in the corner and awaits his opponent..Disco Inferno to enter the ring. Eventually, after some dancing, Disco does just that. Disco enters the ring, but he isn't done dancing just yet. As he continues to dance in the center of the ring pointing towards the camera, Raven emerges from the corner. Raven turns around Disco and blasts him with a steel chair before dropping Disco head first with an EVENFLOW DDT. [B]Winner:Raven [/B] Following the bout Raven falls to the corner yet again as his Flock members, INCLUDING SATURN, surround the ring. "So it is written...and so it has come to pass...yet another victory through the likes of true leadership...flock members...let this be a lesson to you all...Two losses within our ranks tonight so hopefully that will be a lesson to all of you...QUOTE THE RAVEN NEVERMORE." -------------------- A video of Goldberg's recent destruction in WCW plays on the turner-tron. SPEAR JACKHAMMER...SPEAR JACKHAMMER...SIDE KICK...LEG LOCK...SPEAR...JACKHAMMER...the video features several WCW jobbers but also the likes of Glacier, Wrath, Mortis, Hugh Morris, and Lenny Lane among others. From the video cuts to Goldberg's locker room where again security walks him to the ringside area for his entrance that cannout be replicated. Goldberg kicks and spars as he walks down to the ringside area through the smoke and fireworks. Some stiff forearms to the back of the head followed by a right hand. However, it was when he sent Goldberg to the ropes when it was all over. Goldberg came back with a SPEAR followed by the JACKHAMMER for the victory. [B]Winner: Goldberg[/B] From there, Goldberg points towards the camera and then motions with his thumb cutting his throat. "Konnan...YOUR NEXT!" [I] -COMMERCIAL BREAK-[/I] Following the break NWO HOLLYWOOD music blasts over the PA System. With the music blazing Hollywood Hulk Hogan himself followed by Eric Bischoff and Bret "Hitman" Hart all make their way to the ringside area. The fans at ringside are booing like crazy. Almost to a point where Bischoff cannot even speak. However, when they finally quiet down Bischoff begins. Bischoff says that just to spark some more boos from the ringside fans. From that Bischoff continues to speak. He says that tonight Hollywood Hulk Hogan, and Bret Hart were both told they could have the night off. However, due to the fact that both of these men just know what they mean to each and every fan ringside they just couldn't do it. Therefore, Hollywood...TAKE IT AWAY. Hogan says first of all tonight he is NOT here to talk about Sting and the fact that he turned his back on both NWO factions. He says as far as he is concerned, Sting is dead to him. Sting is a coward and that is one of the reasons he hides behind that face paint. Hogan says that he has more important things to worry about than some guy running around trying to do things on his own. He says power comes with numbers Brother...and the NWO means Numbers... Hogan continues starts blasting Savage. He says that it's been a while since he and Savage worked together, but more importantly it's been a while since the Macho Man had all his marbles in one bag if you know what I mean. Hogan says that it's not secret that behind closed doors he and the Macho Man have had a falling out both professionally and personally. However, a while back the biggest name is wrestling was ready to mend those broken fences and start fresh. Savage didn't see it that way though Brother. That is why at the Great American Bash Hollywood Hulk Hogan and Bret the Hitman Hart are going to teach the Macho Man a lesson...NWO Style Brother! Hogan then passes the mic to Hart. Hart says that since he has been in WCW he has seen a lot of things. Hollywood Hulk Hogan has also opened his eyes to a lot of things that he wouldn't have seen too. However, one of the dumbest moves his seen in World Championship Wrestling is the alliance between Piper and Savage. How can do guys who hate each other team up against two of the best wrestlers of all time? It just makes no sense. And now...Now they have booked a match to face one another right after the tag match? It just doesn't make sense. But then again this is Macho Man Randy Savage and Rowdy Roddy Piper...Two of the most uncontrolled superstars in the history of this business. Hogan gets back on the mic. He said one way or another come the Great American Bash he and Hart are going to show the world just why the WCW World Heavyweight Strap is around the waist of Hollywood...Thats because we are JUST TOO SWEET! ---------------------- Backstage DDP is watching a monitor showing the interview with NWO Hollywood in the ring. "Can you believe that?" It was Kevin Nash from behind. DDP stands up in a defense stance as if he was ready to fight. "Calm Down buddy" Luger says walking into the frame. DDP asks the two Wolfpack members what was going on. Luger and Nash just smile and tell Page that they have a little proposition for him tonight. They ask if he would like to replace Nash in the Tag Team Title picture for the Main Event in tonight's match-up? DDP gives the two guys a funny look before saying..."Why not? One way or another...tonight someone will FEEL THE BANG!" Lex Luger nods his head in approval. "Well, lets go...it's showtime right now." That makes it official. DDP & Lex Luger will now be taking on The Giant and Scott Steiner in the Main Event on Thunder. --------------- [B]WCW TAG TEAM TITLES [IMG]http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/6157/paulwightalt03ia6.jpg[/IMG][IMG]http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/7250/scottsteineralt04hh0.jpg[/IMG][B]VS[/B][IMG]http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/7889/diamonddallaspagealt01lc7.jpg[/IMG][IMG]http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/703/lexlugeralt01er5.jpg[/IMG] NWO HOLLYWOOD (The Giant & Scott Steiner) VS DDP & Lex Luger w/Kevin Nash[/B] The Giant and Scott Steiner hit the ring first, however, tonight they were no accompanied by any other members of the NWO Hollywood faction. Awkward since Hogan, Bischoff, and Hart were all out here earlier. The Wolfpack came out next, Kevin Nash and Luger both hit the ring and did some taunting before Luger's partner DDP was ready. "SELF HIGH FIVE" DDP ran from the backstage area like he was on fire. He slid in the ring and went to the top rope. He was obviously ready for action tonight. Kevin Nash stepped outside as Luger and DDP discussed a little bit of strategy. As they were discussing strategy Steiner and The Giant both charged in at them. Luger and DDP managed to avoid the attacks. They sidestepped the attacks and caught Giant and Steiner with some right hands. DDP connected with two stiff punches and then a roundhouse punch that sent Steiner out of the ring. That left Giant there for Luger and DDP to connect with a double SUPLEX...unfortunatley the Giant reversed and sent both men crashing to the ring mat. Good thing for DDP and Luger that the big man wasn't the smartest man on earth. After taking the two men down with a suplex, he picked them both back up and attempted a DOUBLE CHOKESLAM. Instead he was caught in the midsection with two kicks to the gut at the same time and DDP and Luger sent him to the mat with a double hiptoss. Steiner entered the ring at this point and charged the two superstars. However, he was sent back to the outside of the ring with a double back body drop. Luger and DDP were really working good as a team. The Giant slid outside the ring and regrouped with Scott Steiner. As DDP and Luger taunted in the ring Nash stood nearby showing his support. This is when things took a turn for the worst. The entire NWO Hollywood Roster who was in the building tonight entered the ringside area. Vincent, Bischoff, Hogan, Hart...they were all there. Now it seemed as if playtime was over. Hogan said some words to the Giant and Scott Steiner and it seemed as if Steiner would re-enter the ring. OUT OF NOWHERE...AS STEINER ENTERED THE RING DDP CONNECTED WITH THE DIAMOND CUTTER... 1...2.....3... THE FANS WENT NUTS! [B]Winners: DDP & Lex Luger![/B] Nash entered the ring and celebrated with DDP and Luger. However, it was short lived as the NWO all jumped in the ring and a brawl started between everybody. This was until a voice was heard in the area. "Everybody...stop. Now. This is WCW Committee Member, J.J. Dillion...the WCW Committee has decided that although Lex Luger and DDP won the match-up tonight they will NOT be named WCW Tag Team Champions. No, the Tag Team Titles will be decided at the Great American Bash when NWO Hollywood member...THE GIANT...takes on STING! The winner will pick a partner and become new WCW Tag Team Champions!." As the audio cuts off another FAMILIAR sound feels the arena in Peoria. However, this sound is the music of STING! The lights go dark, and when they come back on EVERYBODY is lying outside the ring on the floor. Everybody...but The Giant who is standing tall in the middle of the ring. The Giant looks around not knowing what had just happened. That is when the other man standing in the ring grabbed him by his hair and dropped him with the SCORPION DEATH DROP...THAT MAN...STING! "Giant...at the Great American Bash...you will realize...It's SHOWETIME FOLKS!" From there...the arena goes black again and when the lights come back on Sting is gone. Everyone is still lying around the ring trying to figure out what is going on. That's right. In a matter of one week Mikey had gone from the unknown MikeyG backstage at World Championship Wrestling events to Mr. Greenslade, Eric Bischoff's co-booker of World Championship Wrestling. Oh, and it felt great. Not because of the fact he was still working with Bischoff. Because, quite frankly, that had ended up being the worste part of the entire deal. No, it felt great because in a matter of his first week in World Championship Wrestling he had garnered more respect then Bischoff had in months. Why? Because he listened. He listened to the fans, he listened to the workers, and hell...he even listened to the writers that WCW did have. "Thanks..." Mikey got into the rental car and started his journey to the The Palace in Auburn Hills, MI. The location for tomarrow's Monday Nitro. Mikey was siked to see the script and get to work. However, there was no telling what kind of stuff Bischoff was going to try to pull. Mikey had heard rumors that Bischoff was going to try and put Dennis Rodman on the show, however, what Bischoff didn't know is that over the course of the last few days Mikey had been in contact with Ted Turner himself. Turner heard the rumors as well, and Ted agreed that a contract with Rodman would not be happening. Therefore, whether Bischoff liked it or not...NO RODMAN on NITRO. Was Mikey starting to let the power go to his head? No. He was just using the power given to him to try and make World Championship Wrestling the best it could be. Unfortunatley, as he looked through each show. More and more changes needed to be made. This was the reason Mikey was showing up a day early for Nitro this week. He wanted time to go over the entire script making sure that Bischoff didn't try anything sneaky. Sure, Bischoff was still Mikey's Boss, but from what Ted Turner and Mikey talked about this weekend, there was a lot Mikey could get away with that Bischoff didn't know about. Anyway you put it though, MikeyG was headed to The Palace in Auburn Hills, MI for Monday Nitro and it would prove to be one HELL OF A NIGHT! Bischoff barged into what was actually his office where I'd been working all morning. Right now it was closing in on 10:00 AM, however, I'd been sitting in front of the Nitro script since Seven. "This just isn't working for me, Eric. Ted gave me a direction, he told me that I had the option to change some things...I just want to do that...change some things..." Bischoff glared over at me like he wanted to kill me. In a matter of about four hours everyone would be arriving. They'd be waiting, waiting to hear where they stand on the show tonight. Bischoff new that. HELL, I knew that. I just wanted to make some changes. "Just tell me what the problem is Mikey...TELL ME! Explain to me what is so bad about THIS Nitro...MY NITRO!" Bischoff was almost pleading for Mikey to cut his some slack. A week ago things were different. Bischoff tried to play "Da Boss" when he knew for a fact Turner wanted to go in a different directions. Now, the shoe is ALMOST completely on the other foot. Sure, Mikey still answers to Bischoff, but Eric had to work WITH him. "First off, Rodman is gone..." Bischoff's jaw dropped. "WHAT!?!" "You heard me Eric, Ted called me..." That is when Eric Bischoff cut him off. "Wait a second, did you say TED called you? You gotta be kidding me. Ted Turner doesn't even know you exist...well....I mean...." "I'm telling you Bischoff. He said he doesn't care about the deal we made with Rodman...Rodman's out. So you better let his people know....." At this point Bischoff is just irate. He looks at the door and then looks back at MikeyG before screaming. " You know what? You do it then. You want power? TONIGHT...JUST FOR TONIGHT...It's all yours buddy. Just remember, Hogan...creative control....Hall...creative control....Nash....creative control...Hell, it might be easier for me to give you a list of guys without it. You write a show where they're all happy and that will be surprise enough. Let me tell you something. When this is all over and your in the unemployment line don't be calling up your buddy Eric for help because as far as this thing with me and you goes...ITS OVER. After tonight, we'll see where you stand. You need me you little punk. You'll see. I'll let Rodman's people know...but that's it. Other than that...this Nitro is on YOU!" MikeyG was half surprised that Bischoff blew up. However, at the same time he was relieved. Now was his chance. Tonight he'd get to show the entire wrestling world what he could do. Even if Bischoff was letting him run wild just for this one night; it could do wonders for World Championship Wrestling. Hell, if people thought the few changes he made last Monday were good wait until they see the show tonight! Before Bischoff slammed the door though, he had one final thing to say. "Oh and Mikey...don't forget about our deal with Jericho. You screw with me on the Jericho deal and I promise you, talking to Turner or not...I'll have your ass!" From there Bischoff slammed the door. Mikey thought to himself about what Bischoff had just said and what on earth Chris could have done to piss Bischoff off. Either way, it was time to get to work. Tonight, he wouldn't need white-out...just a pen because although he was still looking through the notes for the original script tonight's Nitro would be brought to wrestling fans by none other than MIKEYG himself. Since last Monday on Nitro the wrestling world has had many questions answers. Most of those answers surround WCW's Franchise Player, Sting. Last Monday the Stinger showed his true colors and let the entire Wrestling World know that his loyalty lied with World Championship Wrestling. Three nights later on Thunder, J.J. Dillion announced that Sting would be Wrestling The Giant at the Great American Bash to determine which of the two would be representing World Championship Wrestling as Tag Team Champions. This Monday Night on Nitro though, Sting has requested some time in the ring to address both NWO factions, but more importantly The Giant himself. Not only will the Stinger be Live in The Palace in Auburn Hills, MI BUT the World Championship Wrestling committee has promised some high profile matches this week on Nitro. First off, J.J. Dillion has announced that Hollywood Hulk Hogan will be defending the WCW World Heavyweight Title against one of his opponents at the Great American Bash. This announcement did not sit well with Hollywood, but the match has been set and either the Macho Man Randy Savage or Rowdy Roddy Piper will be getting their respective shot at the World Title. All this plus the road to the Great American Bash continues to heat up as we will see Chris Jericho & Chavo Guerrerro vs Dean Malenko & Eddie Guerrerro. Goldberg will be in action and Konnan of the Wolfpack promises to be at ringside during the bout. Booker T and Chris Benoit will get this Monday off as one on one opponents, however, both men will be in the building so there is no telling what will evolve between those two. We will see Juventude Guerrerro take on Psicosis and Kevin Nash has promised to lay down a challange that will shock the WORLD. Tune in this Monday NIGHT because this is not going to be a NITRO you want to miss! I think the Wolfpack, while being incredibly hot, kinda lost any sense of meaning there at one stage. To the point where the divide between WCW and the nWo was so murky that really it all meant nothing. I guess it's how I feel about Raw and Smackdown as brands, they sound cartoonish and non competitive against each other, it's just the stigma it leaves with me that I know they are shows and not companies hell bent on destroying the other in the true best interests of competition. Likewise, a good nWo? It just never worked with me. Not to say I didn't mark out for it, but... yak. Would you guys rather me put the ENTIRE card up before the show? I kinda like to refrain from that because quite frankly that is not how things work...or worked...usually they promote one or two big matches and the rest is really just go with the flow type stuff. [/QUOTE] Yea, I'm going to slowly build a story and try to get the landscape of World Championship Wrestling back where it should be. I kinda hinted at it with my last version of the story part of my diary, but starting on this next Nitro I'm going to kind of phase of reality and start booking things a little more of my own way. I didn't want to just jump into a totally different WCW, but when I go and look at the cards that I should continue to book...they are horrible;) lol. I'm going to keep the PPV pretty genuine, but as far as Nitro/Thunder goes we are about to in for some changes. However, I do try and explain everything with the backstory. Looking good, I hope though Bischoff's tanty over Jericho doesn't become reality, but I suggest it won't ;) Just a quick question, did Nash and Hall have creative control? As far as Hall goes, I don't know. If it was me I wouldn't give that drunk control of anything;) I've actually met Hall in real life, he's an AZZhOle;) Anyways, I think everyone will be surprised with my next Nitro. Not only did I change the booking, but I wrote everything long handed...I say wrote when at the moment I'm only half done. ANyways, it's going to be a better read I hope. From there I'll take a vote on which version everyone likes. This way is more work, but it's also more detailed and more fun to write sometimes. Fireworks, Nitro Girls, and as always SIGNS GALORE. This week as cameras pan the audience they stop on several signs. One reads "Raven fears Saturn" another sign reads "Goldberg Owns Stone Cold" and then the last sign the cameras zoom in on says "Eric Bischoff SUCKS!". For some reason it seems as if the camera stays on the Eric Bischoff sign the longest. After what seems like ages of Nitro Girls dancing a familiar theme music blasts over the PA system. It's Bret Hart's music. Not NWO HOLLYWOOD but actually Bret Hart's music. He then starts to address the crowd as he makes his way down to the ringside area. " Ya know, when I joined World Championship Wrestling so many months ago I thought I was going to be apart of something special. Something different...and most importantly something that swayed away from the ego maniacs of the World Wrestling Federation. When I arrived here though...it was the same O'l song and dance. Everyone cutting each other's throats in a way that I have to say is EVEN worse then what I experienced over there...." From there Bret Hart jumped up on the ring apron and steps inside the ring. " So I got over here and started doing my own little thing. Then I realized...well...over here in World Championship Wrestling doing your own thing gets you NOWHERE! That's right. So after being here a while I got my head screwed on straight. That is when Bischoff and I started talking. What you people don't realize is Eric Bischoff is a very smart man. Put his brains up with Hogan's experience and you've got something that some teams only dream about. Then add in the Excellence of Execution and you have three guys that you can't even begin to compare to others." Hart hesitates for a second waiting for the fans to die down from booing. He then continues. " For the last several weeks I've been asked the questions about where my loyalty lies. Where does the Hitman stand as far as the NWO Hollywood is concerned? People say I'm always in the same places as the New World Order, but for some reason I'm never wearing the shirt. I'm never saying the slogans...Hell sometimes I don't even wrestle with them. The answer is simple. I'll say it slow so that you American's can get the gist of everything. I'm the Best There Is....The Best There Was...And the Best There Ever Will Be...with that being said I'm out here tonight to say that the Hitman is NWO....FOR LIFE!" Bret pretends as if he is going to leave the ring. However, he comes back and continues. " Tonight my buddy Hollywood is being forced to compete with one of the guys we will be wrestling at the Great American Bash. That's right...Hogan will be giving either Savage or Piper a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Title tonight. Is that fair? No! Then again what is anymore. I mean it's obvious to me that everyone in World Championship Wrestling is using whatever pull they have to hold down the New World Order." Another STRONG round of BOOS. " Anyways, since Hogan is being forced to compete tonight I thought that it was only right that I come out here and represent the New World Order as well. Therefore, I asked for a match tonight to show the world that neither Hogan or I are scared of a little in ring action. Unlike those two cowards Piper and Savage. Hell, those two haven't wrestled four times between them in months. At Bash at the Beach Hogan and I are going to destroy whatever credibility those two think they have left. And then when we are done with them...they are wrestling each other? We'll see about that. As far as I'm concerned there is going to be nothing left of those two when Hogan and I are finished." Hart waits for a second and then speaks one last time. "Well...come on J.J. Dillion...I know somebody is back there...bring them out." Regal looked to be in pretty good shape though as he slid in the ring under the bottom rope. The bell sounded and the two quickly locked up. Some great back and forth action was put on display during the opening moments of this match-up. Good mat wrestling. Regal seemed to be on par with Hart as things got started and it seemed like the match was going to flow great. However, a few minutes into the match-up Regal missed a leapfrog spot and the match fell apart. The two never managed to get back into the flow of things. Look at me when I'm talking to you..." Saturn again turns his head wanting nothing to do with Raven. " I SAID LOOK AT ME!" This time Raven wasn't having it. He grabbed Saturn's face with one hand and started slapping him with the other hand. Saturn's eyes get HUGE, but he makes no physical advances towards attacking Raven. Instead he just listens as Raven starts to speak once again. " So it is written Saturn...tonight I'm going to show you what leadership is all about. Lead by example...that is what the supposed TEACHERS have always said...tonight that is what I do...you and I Saturn....QUOTE THE RAVEN!" Raven lets go of Saturn's face and leaves him standing there watching as Raven walks off. Chavo starts things off quickly trying to keep Malenko on his feet as long as possible. Dropkicks..crossbody...even a snap suplex...however sooner than later Malenko reverses a hiptoss and gets Chavo on the ground for some mat work. Chavo is able to tag in Jericho who uses several underhand tactics to take control of the match. This included a low blow that was oblivious to the referee. Malenko eventually regained control of the match. He knocked Chavo off the apron and tagged in Eddie...with Chavo out of the picture it was only a matter of time before the two on one situation resulted in a victory. You've had your chance in the past Slim Jim Boy...tonight...I bring the title home to WCW where it belongs." Macho Man gets angry. He takes off his big sunglasses and points at Piper. " Listen here and listen good ooh yea...tonight...IT WILL BE THE MACHO MAN...bringing the World Title over to the NWO Wolfpack...that's right...oohh yea...you'll see Piper...OHH YEA...A matter of fact Piper...I'm gonna go talk to Dillion right now...one way or another...you'll be seeing me in that ring tonight against Hogan....OHH YEA!" From there Macho Man storms off to look for Dillion. Piper just shakes his head and makes one last statement. " Whatever you say Savage. I just hope you don't get in my way tonight." However, this time it's "The Big Bad Booty Daddy" himself, Scott Steiner. Unfortunatley for the entire world, he has a microphone. [img]http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/7250/scottsteineralt04hh0.jpg[/img] " As all my freaks out there know...The Big Bad Booty Daddy has been out in Hollywood doing big things the last few weeks. A lot has happened since I've been gone. But No matter what changes around here everything seems to stay the same. When I got back on Thursday Night I was offered the Tag Team strap by The Giant. As we all know things didn't work out on that front like they should have. One of the reason's for that was that piece of sh*t Diamond Dallas Page getting in my way. Page, YOU PUNK. You were a pain in my a** before I left to Hollywood and you've already become a pain in my a** since I've been back. So how about tonight you grow some balls and step in the ring with a real man? That's right...you and Big Scott Steiner in the middle of the ring later tonight. Of course that's if your not scared!" Steiner acts as if he is going to walk away after some posing, but then looks into the camera again. " Oh and Page. Tonight after I beat you within an inch of your life. Maybe I'll take your wife out for a date. I'm sure she'd like to know what a REAL man is like...HA!" Steiner pushes the camera man out of the way and storms off. Goldberg and Norton seemed just about as intimidated as one another...which was not at all. They went face to face in the middle of the ring as the bell sounded. From there they started things off with a good O'l fashion slug fest. Goldberg with a right hand, then he allowed Norton to swing. Back and forth the two monsters pounded each other with rights. That was until Norton got the upperhand. He sent Goldberg to the ropes but Goldberg came back with a shoulder block that sent Norton to the mat. That was pretty much all she wrote for Norton. As he struggled back to his feet Goldberg trampled him with a SPEAR and then an impressive JACKHAMMER![i] [b]Winner: Goldberg[/b] Following the bout, NWO Wolfpack member Konnan slid in the ring with a chair. Konnan seemed VERY proud of himself for about two seconds. After the two seconds, Goldberg turned around and looked at Konnan with a stare that could almost kill. From there Goldberg went after K-Dawg, but fortunatley for Konnan he was able to flee the ring before being attacked. Goldberg shook of the chairshot like it was nothing. Konnan definatley has his hands full with this beast of a man at the Great American Bash in two weeks. Raven sits in the corner as Saturn walks to the other side of ring apparently awaiting the bell. Very awkward to see opponents being so patient with one another. Then again when Raven and the Flock is involved nothing is surprising anymore. Raven finally gets up to see his and stands eye to eye with Saturn in the middle of the ring. He yells at Saturn to hit him, but Saturn refuses over and over again. Eventually, Raven gets fed up and slaps Saturn across the face much like he did earlier in the night. This time though, Saturn snapped. He grabbed Raven's throat and took him to the mat. Finally, this match was ready to begin. Saturn worked over Raven for a while with some pound and ground action. Eventually he sent him overhead with a T-Bone suplex for a two count. Eventually, though Raven got hold of a steel chair and made it a point to treat Saturn like a nothing. He worked over Saturn after smacking him with the chair which eventually led to Saturn reversing Raven's favorite drop toe hold into the chair. Raven bounced off the chair face first, but Saturn was still unable to get the pinfall. Following the drop toe hold Saturn put Raven up for the DVD, but Raven slipped out and planted Saturn with a DDT onto a steel chair for the win.[/i] [b]Winner: Raven[/b] Following the bout Saturn was pretty beaten. He started bleeding from the forehead from the impact of his head meeting the steel folding chair. Raven fell down into his normal position in the corner and watched Saturn skirm around for a bit. After a minute or so though, Raven pulled himself to his feet and walked over to Saturn. He helped him up and then mouthed something to him that only Saturn could understand. Next, Raven got a mic and spoke once again. " So it is written Saturn. A lesson is a lesson, and hopefully you can make good use of this. Tough love they call it...tough love indeed...quote the Raven....Nevermore..." From there Raven and Saturn embrace in a half-hug kind of way. Raven then waits for Saturn to regain full conciousness so they could exit the ring together. He did not help Saturn out of the ring though, he waits until he could exit himself. World Championship Wrestling officials and referees are blocking the camera's view of everything that is going on. However, it's obvious someone is hurt. " Somebody get a doctor damnit...." Nash yells towards the officials. " Do you think Hollywood is behind this Kev? Or maybe it was Piper wanting Savage's spot later? Whoever did it...they are gonna pay..." Lugar speaks to his friend Nash. The scene cuts as a doctor arrives and starts tending to Savage. After a few moments a voice is heard from the distance. " Last week...I made my choice...." It seems as if the dozens of baseball bats in the distance seem to be parting and as the voice continues a figure emerges. " Honestly...that's a lie. I made my choice long ago. " Sting walks closer and a strobe light in the distance makes it so you can only see his face every other second or so. " So, now that everyone knows where my loyalty lies there are new questions on the horizon. New battles...but if you think about it the battles have never changed. Good versus Evil...it's all the same. Since the beginning of the world. " Sting stops moving and turns his back towards the camera. " At the Great American Bash...it will be the Stinger one on one with a guy who I once considered a friend. The Giant. There is no telling what has gotten into the Giant's head to make him do what he has done to World Championship Wrestling. It could be money, power, or even just the fact that he is that much closer to that World Heavyweight Title every night. However, the reason's make no difference to me or the fans. From there Lugar grabs the mic. " I just want to let everyone know. Macho Man will wake up, and when he does he will tell his buddies exactly who did this to him. We showed two guys on seperate occasions that we'd have their back when the time came, but then when it came time to show where they stood on the alliance front they both chose a different path. Ironically it's the guy who Booker T has been wrestling in the best of seven series....Chris Benoit. Eventually, Luger was in there with Stevie Ray who managed to gain the advantage after a low blow when the referee wasn't looking. Stevie Ray worked over Luger for several minutes before tagging his brother back in. From there, Booker T allowed Nash to be tagged in. Nash took full control of everything that happened in the ring following the tag. When Stevie Ray jumped in the ring to help his brother both members of Harlem Heat were floors by big elbows from the big man. Stevie Ray was sent crashing down to the mat with a jacknife, problem was, he wasn't the legal man. This allowed Booker T to slowly regain the advantage for a second. Booker T managed to grab Nash from behind and walk him over to he and Benoit's corner. He motioned for Benoit to go for a cheap shot, Benoit tried but Nash moved and Benoit ended up plastering his partner with an elbow to the face. DDP works over Steiner for a minute or so until Steiner manages to place a thumb in DDP's eye. With DDP blinded Steiner pounded him for a few minutes before tossing him outside the ring. DDP was sent into the turnbuckle shoulder first a few times and then tossed back in the ring where Steiner continued to work over his shoulder. " Yea, it's a shame what happened to Savage earlier. There is no telling what on earth got a hold of him...." From there the entire NWO locker room gets quiet and then all at once they all burst out laughing and then Hogan speaks again. " Anyways, I guess it's about that time brother. Time for me to go mop the floor with that loser Piper. I don't even know where Dillion got off making this match in the first place. Piper has never and will never be a World Champion here or anywhere else for that matter, brother." Giant jumps in again. " Yea, he's past his prime and he got there without winning World Heavyweight Gold, that sad Hollywood. After your done with Piper tonight, maybe Sting will show his face and you guys can watch me chokeslam him straight to hell tonight. If not, I guess I'll have to wait until the Bash. He then tosses Hogan to the ropes and sends him overhead with a back body drop. The fans are in AWE as Piper allows Hogan NO OFFENSE whatsoever in the opening moments of this match-up. About four minutes into the bout Piper actually manages to hook Hollywood in his patenent Sleeper Hold that he has won so many matches with in the past. With Hogan in the sleeper though, Bischoff gets up on the ring apron and distracts the referee as The Giant starts to enter the ring on the other side. Piper drops Hogan and sends the Giant back outside the right with a thunderous right hand. However, as Piper turns back to Hogan it's too late as Hogan took him down with a thunderous big boot. Following the boot to the face Hogan bounced off the ropes and dropped the BIG LEG OF DOOM and then made the cover......1.......2......3....Hogan retains.[/i] [b]Winner and STILL WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Hollywood Hogan[/b] Following the bout, Hogan mounts Piper and continues to beat him with closed fist after closed fist. He then motions for the troops to enter the ring. First just Bischoff and the Giant enter the ring and assist Hogan in beating down Piper. Hogan motions for The Giant to pick up Piper and drop him with the CHOKESLAM...he does just that. Hogan then drops another leg atop the Rowdy Scott. Next Hogan motions for more NWO members to make their way to the ring. In a matter of moments, Bret Hart and Scott Steiner answer the call. He connects with a right hand to Hogan...then to Giant...then Hart...DDP is going crazy. However, it was only a matter of time before the numbers game worked against him. Eventually all the members of the NWO Hollywood had DDP in the corner taking turns whaling on him with right hands. With DDP getting pounded on in the corner, the Turner-Tron shows the Wolfpack backstage watching everything on a television monitor. Nash and Luger speak while watching what was going on. It takes all but about three seconds for Sting to clear the ring with help from his little black baseball bat. The New World Order Hollywood all fled up the aisle after being sent packing by the Stinger. The show closes with Sting doing what he can to help Piper and Page get to their feet. Oddly enough, around the time he started pushing himself to be the main to unseat Bill Goldberg's streak. I don't think he had creative control, as he did a few jobs in the time. I'd be highly surprised if Scott Hall had any sort of creative control to be honest, he seemed to do the fair job quite a bit from memory. I think you'd find Nash pushed his political stroke a long way frolm say mid 1998 onwards, but I don't think it was backed by a creative control clause. And it's nice to see a clear divide building between the three factions. The nWo Wolfpack shouldn't be protecting WCW and vice versa, even at the expense of their hatred with nWo Hollywood. I like your storyline with Raven and Saturn also. Of course, I was never a fan of Bret Hart in the nWo as I thought it severely limited him, it was almost very clear that it was a power play to keep Bret Hart underneath Hollywood Hogan. But, you've got a reader and I'll be keen to see how you advance with that, surely it'd have to be better than what WCW did with him which was leave Hart in career purgatory for 2-3 years. One other thing, while you're definitely putting your spin on things, it's important, and you've done it well, to keep it realistic to the time period. I find there are a lot of diaries that pop up from time to time that tend to try to exploit the WCW name, and end up with a story that is WCW in name only and certainly not in spirit or creative intent. One with Mean Gene where he even said after being around a year and a half or so GOLDBERG even had creative control in WCW...that is why WCW died. Anyways, thanks for the feedback. And I understand what your saying with realism. I mean, some of these guys take what was WCW and throw in an entire roster of guys not even really associated with the company. While it is sometimes good writing, its not WCW. I have yet to make one big signing since this game started... THEN AGAIN...I have over 100 people on the roster. WCW was CRAZY as far as spending went. OH... And the Jericho thing. Chris Benoit and Booker T found themselves in the same corner on Nitro Monday, but things didn't turn out quite like they would've wanted them to. WCW has promised the two superstars one more night without continuing the Best of Seven Series which Benoit leads 3-2. However, that doesn't change the fact that Benoit will be in action this Thursday against Chavo Guerrerro Jr. All this plus Goldberg will be in action, The Flock wil finally get their chance at getting their hands on Kanyon, formely known to WCW fans as Mortis, as Saturn and Raven take on Kanyon & Wrath in tag team action. Irrespective of the misbooked shows, the ratings were still decent for cable, and as far as cable goes wrestling still had massive potential to filful through WCW. A bunch or workers were already standing past the entrance as they were watching the show from the gorilla position. " Good work tonight Michael, it was actually a good change of pace for a night." J. J. Dillion spoke to Mikey first. MikeyG just nodded at the veteran and smiled. First it was NWO Hollywood members to come backstage. Unfortunatley, that meant Eric Bischoff was on his way. Paul "The Giant" Wight passed by first nodding at Mikey as he walked by, next was Scott Steiner who completely ignored him, following Steiner was Bret Hart who winked at MikeyG to show his approval. It was the next two guys though who MikeyG was wondering about most. How would Hogan and Bischoff react to everything that had gone down tonight. Mikey stared and watched as the two leaders of WCW as a whole basically slowly made thier way towards MikeyG. Bischoff actually stopped to talk to J J who was standing in front of the group, however, Hogan continue towards Mikey and to Mikey's immediate surprise Hogan leaned in and whispered to him. " Listen brother, tonight you suprised the hell out of me. Off the record, I just want to say great job TONIGHT brother. Problem is...all good things must come to an end." Hogan continued walking by Mikey patting him on the back as he exited the area. Mikey couldn't help but to think to himself. What exactly should he take from what Hogan just said. The kudos seemed legit, but what about the statement he followed it with. Almost sounded like, off the record GOOD JOB...on the record....BUSINESS IS BUSINESS....regardless of all that Mikey was proud of himself. However, the moment of truth was upon him. Why? Because here comes Eric Bischoff himself.... Bischoff ironically had a HUGE smile on his face as he approached Mikey. " THERE HE IS....THE MAN OF THE HOUR....Great job tonight..Seriously...YOU DID IT!" Bischoff was overly excited for Mikey, it almost seemed to good to be true. From there Bischoff grabbed Mikey's arm and motioned for him to walk with him. As they finally got passed the group of WCW workers, wrestlers, and staff Bischoff spoke once again. " Seriously though, Good Job tonight. You did one hell of a job tonight and that is exactly what Nitro needed. A change of pace...." Bischoff then hesitated before continuing. Before continuing though he lost the huge smile that was plastered on his face and got real serious. " Don't get a big head though. This was a one night deal. Thunder we're back to PLANET BISCHOFF....you got that kid?" Mikey figured this was coming, but he didn't know how to respond so he just nodded. " Happy that we are on the same page...." From there Bischoff walked away leaving MikeyG there alone. As Mikey stood there thinking about everything that had gone down for the night he felt a vibration coming from his pocket. It was his cell phone...Somehow he missed a call and it was an important one as he would soon find out. He noticed he had one new voice mail message so he listened to it.... " Mikey...Mikey...Mikey...this is Ted Turner. I have to say, I haven't been able to sit through an entire episode of Monday Nitro in a LONG time. Let me tell you something, tonight...I WAS GLUED to the TELEVISION. Things are really going to take a 180 around there....that's a promise. With that being said I need you and Bischoff here tomarrow...Got it? I'll let Bischoff know. Great job tonight buddy, see ya tomarrow." Mikey was speechless. He didn't know what to say. He thought about how Eric Bischoff would react to the fact that Turner wanted to see them, but then he forgot about that. What did Turner want with him? It couldn't be bad things as Turner seemed happy. Was he going to let Mikey go with the flow and book Thunder completely? Mikey was actually getting sick of that stupid ringing. Ever since Monday it had been irritating the hell out of him. Besides, right now he had more important things to worry about then a phone call. He was on his way to Ted Turner's office. Unfortunatley, his phone didn't care. He glared down at the screen and noticed an unfamiliar number. Mikey hesitated, but then answered. " MikeyG here...." He waited for a second, but no response. " Hello?" This time he had better luck. " Hey Mikey, it's Ted again. I know this is late notice, but I have some bad news. I'm going to have to cancel on tonight's meeting...." WHAT? Mikey was thinking to himself of course. He was already on his way to meet Turnder, when Ted decides to change the meeting? Did Bischoff already get to him? What the hell was going on here. " Oh yea? Some kind of emergency come up?" Ted hesitated, but then spoke. " Um, no, not really. I just figured it'd be better for tomarrow being that your going to have a busy day ahead of yourself today. I just got word from J.J. Dillion that if I'm going to have you write for the show tonight he needs you there ASAP, therefore, I need you there ASAP!" As much as Mikey wanted his meeting with Turner, he didn't mind taking over Thunder for the night. Hell, two nights of writing in a row. MikeyG was on a roll. Unfortunatley, he didn't feel like Bischoff would be in the same great mood. " Well, any word from Bischoff Ted?" Mikey asked. " Don't worry about him, we'll talk about all that tomarrow. Just co-exist for tonight and then we'll go over details tomarrow night....Oh and Mikey...don't let me down tonight buddy." From there Turner hung up the phone. Again, tonight for Thunder Turner had decided to put WCW's well being in MikeyG's hands. Hell, Mikey loved it. He just couldn't get out of his mind what the meeting was going to be about in just 24 hours. Bischoff going to get fired? Not a chance. However, there was no way Bischoff would work UNDER HIM. Hell, at this point Mikey's mind was opened to anything. Either way...OFF TO WORK.... THUNDER HERE WE COME. " Monday on Nitro the MACHO MAN Randy Savage was brutally attacked from behind...ohh yea....you see people....The MACHO MAN isn't the type of guy who just sits around and waits for answers...no...tonight...I'm out here to tell the whole world who attacked me on Nitro. " Savage pauses due to the fans starting to get riled up a bit. As they quiet down he continues. " With all the crap going on with me and Piper you'd think he might have been behind the gutless attack on Monday?...BUT YOU KNOW WHAT!?!? He wasn't. With Piper out of the equation I think everybody here tonight knows who hit me from behind. That's right...NWO Hollwood was behind the ASSAULT!...Oh yea!" Macho then starts getting VERY angry. He doesn't speak for a few minutes, but his face starts getting really red showing his anger like never before. " YOU KNOW WHAT? I'm not even going to say it was NWO Hollywood who was behind the attacks. No, it was that GUTLESS COWARD...BRET HART! That's right...the self-proclaimed greatest of all time can't even look the Macho Man Randy Savage in the eyes during an attack? But you know something 'Mr Hitman'. Savage was possesed. As soon as Smith entered the ring Savage dropped him with a lariat...and then another. Savage went to the top rope and dropped three consecutive axes to Smith's face. Next, Savage threw his opponent outside the ring. He worked Davey Boy over first slamming his head on the ring apron, then shoulder first into the ring post, and finally crashing into the guard rail. Macho Man was going nuts. Bulldog never had a chance to gain any type of momentum in this match-up. Macho tossed him back in the ring and pounded his face with what seemed to be thirty right hands. Next, Macho dropped him with a suplex followed by not one...BUT TWO...big elbows from the top rope. Unlike some of those in the ranks of my own family." Again, Raven looks down at Saturn. " It seems as if some of the very guys I share my own meals with have doubted their own abilites as of late. They enter the ring showing no emotions as Raven taunts them from the other side. Raven glares over at his opponent, Wrath, who was in the ring first and then Raven tags Saturn to start things off. Saturn thinks nothing off it. He enters the ring and goes toe to toe with the big man, but it only last a second. Wrath punishes Saturn pounding him for a bit before taking him to the mat with a huge sidewalk slam. Wrath tags in Kanyon, but Saturn also gets the tag. Raven seems ecstatic to be in the ring, well, he smiled anyways, for Raven thats something. Raven blocked a right hand and worked over Kanyon for a couple of minutes with some ground and pound followed up by a nice Russian leg sweep. However, as soon as Kanyon got the tag to Wrath Raven tried to retreat to Saturn. Problem was, Saturn wouldn't take the tag. It was obvious as the Flock watched on from ringside they were wondering if Saturn was going to take the beating again tonight. " The task is simple SATURN...simple..." Raven rattles on about something to Saturn and then... WHACK! He slaps him again. This time Saturn's eye's doubled in size and he stared at Raven who just continued with the trash talking. " You are nobody without me Saturn...without us...without the FLOCK...you are just a mindless traveler. We gave you a home, and lately...you haven't been paying your dues!" Again, Raven goes to slap Saturn. However, this time Saturn grabs his hand. With Raven's wrist in his right hand, Saturn raises his left hand as if he is going to punch Raven. " Do it! Perry...you don't have the intellegience to know when to swing those fists of yours...you don't have the smarts...." Raven is cut off...he jolts backwards as he believed Saturn was going to attack. However, Saturn didn't. Instead Saturn pushed Raven's fist away and then stormed out of the ring. Saturn seemed angry, but more importantly he seemed bummed. Raven on the other hand, didn't seem to care what was going on. He just laughed as Saturn stormed to the backstage area. Page pulls the mic away from his mouth, puts his hand over the top of it and mouths the words..."Yea Right" for the fans to see before he continues to speak. " I don't need them, and they don't need me. Period. Now, last week you'll hear them run their mouths about how they helped me and we teamed up. The way I see it, I was given an oppurtunity of what I thought was a shot at the WCW World Tag Team Titles, and I took it. Period. When they just sat and watched Piper and I get our A@@es handed to us on Monday Night...they did what I would've expected them to do. Nothing. Sure, me and a few of those guys may be friendly off and on backstage, but it takes something more than that to help a man getting beat up in front of thousands...That's right...something like BALLS!" DDP hesitates following the harsh comment, but then Gene jumps in a changes the subject. " Well, now that we have that all cleared up. Another thing that seems to be getting in your way as of late is the man who returned to World Championship Wrestling one week ago today. That man, Scott Steiner. It seems he has been using some obscene language when it comes to the likes of your wife, Kimberly." DDP shakes his head and for a second looks down at the floor. When he looks back up at the camera he seems to be a different man. He's VERY upset and he starts screaming into the camera. " Scott Steiner is nothing but a bully. Hell, he isn't even good at that. I mean, a Bully usually can back up his words when it comes time to do business. Steiner though, has been in the ring with me twice in the last week and both times he was unable to deliver the goods. So instead, he wants to try and get into my head. REALITY CHECK STEINER...ITS WORKING...and let me tell you something...you REALLY...REALLY...don't want to piss me off right no....." THUD! Before DDP can get his words out of his mouth Scott Steiner rocks him from behind with a metal pipe to the back of the neck. DDP folds over and crashes to the floor hard. He's obviously unconscious. It seems just as DDP hits the ground his wife Kim shows up to check on him. She is having trouble catching her breathe through her crying. However, when the bell did ring all gloves were off. Jericho used some illegal tactics early on after starting things off with a poke to Mysterio's eyes. Jericho worked over Rey's legs early on and tried not to allow him to gain any momentum. Later Jericho put Mysterio up top, however, when Dean Malenko walked down the aisle towards the ring Jericho was irate. He yelled at Malenko a bit while still on the top rope. However, it didn't take long for Mysterio to realize what was going on. He fought Jericho off of him and with Jericho standing in the ring Mysterio jumped from the top rope and connected with a flying hurricanrana...1...2...3....JERICHO IS PISSED.![/i] [b]Winner: Rey Mysterio Jr.[/b] Following the bout, Jericho was throwing a temper tantrum. He was completely irate blaming Malenko for his loss. Chavo and Benoit had some great cheimstry tonight and they worked over one another evenly throughout the entire contest. Chavo actually was able to meet Benoit suplex for suplex. Nearly to the point where the fans at ringside were questioning if CHAVO should be in the Best of Seven for the TV title shot instead of Booker T. Regardless, during the course of the match-up Booker T actually appeared at the top of the entrance ramp. He didn't throw Benoit off his game at all, he seemed to just be viewing his competitor in action. Back in the ring, Chavo reversed a German suplex by landing on his feet following a backflip. He dropkicked Benoit into the ropes, but then as Chavo charged in for a right hand Benoit ducked and grabbed his ARM putting him in the Crossface and forcing him to TAP OUT![/i] [b]Winner: Chris Benoit[/b] Following the bout Booker T was at the top of the entrance ramp still watching on as Benoit celebrated in the ring. Just as Benoit was about the exit the ring though, Booker T managed to get a microphone. " Anyways..right know your leading our little Best of Seven Series 3-2...and Monday Night on Nitro we go back at it. Tonight though, I have a little proposition for ya Benoit. Since I'm going into Nitro from behind I was thinking that we make things a little more interesting. Instead of just another wrestling match lets you and I do something a little different. I WAS THINKING HARLEM STREET FIGHT SUCKA...." In the ring Chris Benoit looks around as the crowd is cheering for the stipulation. Benoit then get a mic of his own and speaks back to Booker T. " It's a great idea Booker...I mean...the way I see it a winner is a winner....and he should be able to gain victory no matter what obstacles are put in his way....But at..." Booker T cuts him off. " Then we have a deal then...Booker T and Chris Benoit...Harlem Street Fight on Nitro...." Booker T is pretty excited atop the entrance ramp, but Benoit isn't done yet. " AS I WAS SAYING...Whats in it for me Booker?" Booker T seems very dumbfounded by the remark. He thought to himself for a while and then a HUGE smile covered his face. " I got it...when I beat you on Monday...." Benoit is obviously not happy about that comment and quickly butts in. " IF YOU BEAT ME ON MONDAY!" Booker T laughs and then nods his head before he continues. " Right...Right...IF I beat you on Monday, Sucka. Then that would put us Three and Three. Therefore, it would be time for the seventh match of the series. The way I see it...you let me pick the stipulation on Monday...if I come out victorious...then...well...you can pick your own stip for the Seventh Match, You dig?" Benoit just nods his head inside the ring after dropping the mic. He smiles and both men seem happy. " Better bring your best game at Nitro Sucka, cuz we're talking about playing by MY RULES!" Still, Benoit seems content. Booker T eventually exits leaving Benoit to celebrate his victory in the ring. " ...You might end up in a body bag...." Lex Luger finishes the statement. Then for a few seconds Luger and Nash stare at the camera in silence. After the moments of silence, Nash speaks. " There has been a lot of rumors going around backstage...yea...we've been hearing them. People are saying that we've gone soft. They're saying that by asking guys like Sting and Page to join forces with us that we're basically just WCW with a different shirt on...." Nash look over at Luger and then they BOTH glare at the camera with EVIL smiles on their faces. Luger speaks. " For those who think that...Tune into Monday Nitro...Things are about to change around here..." Nash and Luger start laughing as the cameras cut away. Basically, the video shows SPEAR...JACKHAMMER...SPEAR...JACKHAMMER...Sidekick...Rolling Leg Lock...JACKHAMMER...on most members of the WCW roster. As cameras cut to live action Goldberg is entering the ring. Hogan taunts a few fans pretending to let them touch the title before jerking it away, The Giant blows smoke from his cigar in their faces, and Steiner just verbally abuses them. Bischoff seems to be in an extra special good mood tonight as he does his usual "airplane" gimmick as he walks to the ring. After entering the ring the NWO are unable to speak due to the fact that the crowd are so loud. However, after a few moments, Bischoff decided to scream over them. " Come on...Come on...I think your all BEAUTIFUL TOO!" The comments are met with a extra special round of BOOS from the crowd. " Seriously...You really love us!" Bischoff seems to love the heat from the crowd. Always has always will. " Don't worry we ALL love you too...each and everyone of us..." Bischoff points at each member of the NWO individually. " Without further delay...the GOD of Professional Wrestling...Hollywood...HOGAN!" Bischoff gives Hogan the mic. Hogan again is met with the duty of trying to talk over the LOUD crowd. " Listen DUDES....." Hogan is cut off again by the crowd. As he waits for them to quiet down Scott Steiner grabs the mic. " Listen you stupid HILLBILLIES. I want all your overweight cows to grab a hot dog and shove it in down the throat of your husbands so you can here the ICON SPEAK!" Steiner's comments got even more of a reaction from the crowd. Hogan takes the mic back and just speaks over them. " That coward Sting was promised a match with a member of the NWO tonight, brother. Ya see...the problem we have here is that nobody here tonight brought their wrestling gear. A matter of fact, BRET HART, my partner at the Great American Bash, was supposed to be here tonight and he was going to quickly wipe the ring with Sting tonight. Instead, Hart had some things to deal with so I decided to get out my little black book...." The crowd popped at the mention of Hogan's black book. Bischoff grabs the mic from Hogan and yells. " NOT THAT BLACK BOOK YOU IDIOTS. We're talking about something more important than St.Louis Prostitutes..." Again, the crowd goes irate as NWO bash him. Hogan gets back on the mic. " You see...I promised Giant the night off....Hart isn't here....and Big Poppa Pump...well...he wrestles when HE WANTS, Brother. And again...Sting OBVIOUSLY doesn't deserve a shot at my strap. So, that leaves us with a little problem." The NWO discuss what they are going to do. As they are discussing...The Giant whispers something into Hogan's ear. Hogan seems to be surprised, but obviously it's an act as all this was planned. Hogan gets back on the mic. " The Big Man just gave me a great idea...you see...there is one member of the New World Order who has been away for the last few weeks. We're talking about a guy that has taken out monsters in this business. A guy that has been around a LONG time...and most importantly a guy that was involved with ALL of this since the beginning. Ya see, this guy is a great EXAMPLE.....OF WHAT NWO FOR LIFE MEANS BROTHER! That's right...Stinger better watch out because tonight....He steps in the ring with...." N...N...N...NEW WORLD ORDER....4 Life... Again, the NWO music blasts over the PA system. This time cutting Hogan's voice off. The crowd all have their eyes glued on the entrance ramp when.... Obviously they all boo him, but he eats it up as he always has done. Hall makes his way towards the ring doing his usual entrance. He slicks back his hair and throws a toothpick at the camera before sliding in under the bottom rope. After entering the ring, he does his rounds and hugs everyone in the ring. Well, everyone but Steiner of course. Instead, he and Steiner just nod at one another. After hugging Hogan, Scott Hall is given the mic. "....Hey Yo...." The all to familiar beginning to every Scott Hall speech in the last ten years. As always though, it gets a rise from the crowd.... " I know its been a while...but I was wondering how many of you people here tonight would like to take a little SURVEY?!" The crowd pops at the idea of Hall's worldwide surveys. " Ok...Ok...here we go...How many of you people here tonight came to see ....the WCW!" HUGE POP! " Alright Alright...well...how many of you people here in St Louis came here tonight to see....the WOLFPACK....?" Nice pop, nothing like WCW, especially since there was a mixture of cheers a boos. " Alright now for the important one. St Louis, Missouri.....how many of you people came here tonight to see the N...W...O" After saying the words "NWO..." along with Hall the fans erupted in the largest sounds they've made all night. However, to the liking of the NWO...it was all BOOS. " One more...for the GOOD GUYS!" Hall looks back at Hogan who gives him the approval to continue. " Now, I've been gone for a while now...and there is something I've noticed...Sting needs to go on Oprah, he's had to make more..'important decisions' in his life then anyone I've EVER seen. Not only that, but the guy is obviously having identity issues...nonetheless...tonight I step in the ring with the Stinger. Right now, I guess I just have one thing to say..." Hall does his "scared" motion with his fingers. " I'm REALLY...scared. Ha, yea right. Stinger, later on tonight I'm going to put you in your place buddy. Heck, when I'm done with you ...you're going to need all that makeup because it'll cover up WHATS LEFT of your face after the beating I give you later tonight." Hall gives the mic back to Hogan. Without Piper here tonight I doubt that the Macho Queen will show his face in Hollywood's presence so while I don't really have to worry about him I figured I'd say a few words. You see, brother. You took your so-called MADNESS out on Bret Hart's family earlier tonight...what you don't realize Macho Queen is that I'm the big dog around here. I mean, who do you think gave those marching orders to Bret Hart on Monday, brother? That's right...your looking at him. It's ok though, dude. You'll get yours. At the Great American Bash the New World Order is going to show all these WCW fans where the power lies. DDP...Steiner is going to destroy you....Sting? Ha, if you live through my buddy Scott Hall tonight you are looking at the Giant at the Bash? Alls I have to say to you is...rest in peace brother...as for Macho Queen and Rowdy Roddy Piper...I think I speak for Bret Hart when I say this too...come Great American Bash....when the New World Order are done with you two...there will be no need for a singles match-up between each other...because....you'll feel the WRATH of HOLLYWOOD, brother. Eventually they do make their way up the entrance ramp where they all pose together holding up the NWO hand signals. They are all in a great mood tonight. From the beginning this match proved to be the closest thing to a street fight that the fans have seen all night. First Stevie Ray pounded on Finlay, then Finlay on Stevie Ray. Nothing real pretty in this one, mostly just strict brawling. Stevie Ray did manage a two count after a suplex. Scott Hall entered the ring alone, with no members of the New World Order at ringside. That's actually awkward, but when your talking about Scott Hall. Anything is possible. Hall waits in the ring for nearly three minutes before Sting makes his way to the ring. Sting walks out from backstage instead of coming down from the rafters. He steps in the ring and goes face to face with Scott Hall. Hall and Sting go back and forth with remarks for a few seconds before Hall flicks his toothpick in Sting's face. Sting nodded his head and smiled as to be taunting Hall. He flipped his own hair back and then in a split second leveled Hall with a right hand. Then another...with the sound of the bell this one was underway. Sting kept control early on with the right hands, eventually sending Hall to the corner for a Stinger splash. Hall though, moved, and then caught Sting with a poke to the eyes. Hall then threw some right hands of his own. He worked over Sting until he was able to take him overhead with a FALLAWAY SLAM! Following the fallaway slam though...Scott Hall went for the Outsiders EDGE. Sting wasn't having it though, he flipped Hall over and then quickly went for the Scorpion Death Lock. THAT WAS IT. As soon as Sting locked on the move, the NWO Locker room cleared to the ringside area. As soon as Sting noticed the NWO coming ringside he released the hold, even before Hall tapped. With the NWO surrounding the ring Sting stood alone wondering what would happen next. With no DDP or Piper there to save him tonight, Sting might be alone Eventually, Scott Hall got back to his feet. Instead of continuing the match though...he motioned for everyone to enter the ring and ATTACK Sting....they did just that...the referee had no choice but to call for the bell...it was choas....[/i] [b]Winner: NO CONTEST[/b] All at once the members of the New World Order entered the ring. Just like on Nitro. This time though, Sting was alone. At first, he was able to fight them off.... Steiner swung a right hand, but Sting ducked and sent him to the mat with a dropkick. Next, Hall grabbed Sting by the hair, but Sting broke free and kicked him in the chest before taking him down to the mat with a clothesline. Next, Hogan was caught with a right hand then the Giant. Sting was actually fending for himself up against the ENTIRE New World Order.... Well, for a while. As Sting went back and forth connecting with right hands on Hogan and Giant...Scott Hall slid out of the ring and then back in with a chair....WHACK! That was it. Sting was now fresh meat for the NWO. At this point, each and everymember of the NWO took turns doing their finishers on the Stinger... First, Steiner connected with a belly to belly suplex.... Next, Hall dropped him on his neck with an OUTSIDERS EDGE..... Then it was time for Hogan and the BIG LEG DROP! Following the leg drop it seemed as if The Giant had something planned. He talked amongst the rest of the NWO members...he motioned for them to clear the ring as he screamed out loud.... " LET ME HANDLE THIS! He's MINE!" From there, Hall and Steiner exited the ring on one side and Hogan exited on the ramp side. Hogan slowly walked backwards up the ramp as he watched what was going on in the ring. In the ring, The Giant set up the steel chair that Scott Hall had brought to the ring earlier in the sitting position....He then took Sting up to the top rope and grabbed him by his throat...THE FANS were in AWE as The Giant CHOKESLAMMED STING FROM THE TOP ROPE THROUGH THE CHAIR....OH MY GOD! The crowd was going nuts...Hall and Steiner looked on from outside and THEY even seemed surprised at the carnage caused by The Giant...Giant then motions for Steiner and Hall to re-enter the ring...and they do. The Giant then motions for Hogan on the other side....Hogan is halfway up the aisle clapping for what Giant just did...he slowly makes his way back towards the ring when.... WHACK! Steel chair to the back of the head thanks to....THE MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE! [img]http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/7223/randysavagealt06lq2.jpg[/img] WHACK! Again, Macho Man hits Hogan. This time it's in the back. The NWO look on in AWE, almost lost in the moment. Savage waits for Hogan to try and get up...as Hogan gets to his knees... WHACK! Right in the face. Hogan is bleeding and bleeding bad. The NWO are all back in reality and they exit the ring and run towards Savage and Hogan. Macho Man doesn't move. He just stands their threatening to hit Hogan again. The NWO stand back until Macho Man slowly walks backwards towards the exit. As he gets to the top of the ramp every member of the NWO treat to Hogan. In the ring Sting is still down... Thunder ends with the two biggest stars in WCW beaten....Macho Man is at the top of the ramp pointing towards the NWO helping Hogan...as the cameras cut to black. The WCW Committee promises that unlike last week EVERYBODY involved with next Sunday's pay per view will be in New York City for Monday Nitro. After what happened between Hogan and The Macho Man Randy Savage on Thunder there is no telling how Hogan will respond this Monday on Nitro. Plus, Bret Hart will be live and in person for the first time since his attack on Savage one week ago on Nitro. Not to mention Rowdy Piper in the house. It seems that these four men have pummled each other with every chance they have gotten. Now, on Nitro WCW officials have promised that all four men must meet in the middle of the ring verbally committing themselves to the match on Sunday. After each and every attack that has taken place the WCW committee want to cover their bases and make sure that everyone will be 100% on Sunday Night. Not only will these four men meet in the middle of the ring to acknowledge their health status. If they are cleared to wrestle, which each of them claim they are now...they will be part of a HUGE NITRO Main Event. The Main Event will put members of WCW & the NWO Wolfpack together for one night only to battle of NWO Hollywood members. Problem is...as of right now Team WCW/Wolfpack only has three members. Tune in Monday Night to see how it pans out. On Thunder the NWO Wolfpack promised that some "changes" would be taking place starting on Nitro this week. What did they mean with those comments?
