WeeMan
It's very important for me... If I send wrestlers to development to improve skills, and I send good trainers to train them... Will the wrestlers only develop skills, or popularity too? I have some young guys who are pretty good with skills, but have F- popularity all over the world... Is it a good idea to send them to development, will they gain popularity there? Thanks in advance for response.
TheTuckerman
I could be wrong as I'm still learning myself with the game but I think popularity is best built in lower card matches/dark matches. But, like I say, I could very well be wrong.
Mtm2k6
I'd imagine they'll only gain popularity in the developmental promotion's home area, e.g. New England for RIPW. Popularity willbe gained when they're on the main roster and are exposed to a widespread audience.
falling_star
In TEW07, I know they gained popularity in development (Valiant usually reached the C/C+/B- level in one or two regions before SWF called him up in most of my 07 games.
WeeMan
Does anybody know for sure? I'm very thankful for all the posts, but they are only guesses, and I'd like to know for sure... Best wishes.
davidEFC
Well a worker can only gain popularity in a developmental promotion for the areas they run shows in or the areas they have coverage if they have a tv show.
jesterx7769
Theyw ill gain popularity when they are used in matches/angles by the development fed during their shows just they would if you call them up. Keep in mind they can also lose popularity as well.
Sagitta
Gaining popularity in only one or two regions isn't a bad thing, either - when you roll through those places you can put them a bit higher on the card to help plant butts in the seats. WeeMan
So to conclude, what do You guys think would be better: a) take those guys out of development, and probably give a chance to be on the card to only some of them [my Impact show lasts 90 minutes, and I want to get high ratings, B+ or higher, so I can't let too much unpopular guys be on the show...] b) leave them all in development, and they will develop better than they would in my fed? I'll get more TV shows and stuff when I'll have a chance, but it will be in 2 months at earliest, so I need to know what to do with those guys now... Thanks in advance, You all are a huge help. Hyde Hill
option b. Try getting a ´b´ show where you can shocase the ones that you think have developed enough not to need the dev teritorry.
WeeMan
Okay, cool. Thanks guys, if someone has anything useful to say, feel free to post here. I'll leave the wrestlers in the development for now, and later we'll see ;]
jesterx7769
I have a "B" show and I love it. You dont have to worry about match ratings since the show doesnt affect your promotions overness it only affects the workers so that is a great way to build up skills and popularity. WeeMan
I know, but I can't get a B show right now, as I'm outside of the negotiation period, I'll be able to negotiate in 2 months, but I don't want those 2 months to be 2 lost months, I'd like to do something with my potential stars, who are not over, but have the skills, You know.
