MHW DEAD? No way. What a shock, they were doing so well O.o
The Retirement of Humberto Ortega hurt them badly, they fell from solid c's on their tv shows to C-'s and even D+'s you just can't do that at cult level. as well the contracts thier workers that had been there for 5+ years had were bleeding them dry, they needed a larger roster with thier 5 shows a month, so they did not have to pay to use the top talent at every show. they ran through more than a million dollars in like 6 months. It is a real shame as I think it is going to take several years for the industry to recover from the loss of MHW, But Pro-wrestling MAX looks set to make a huge debut (yeah I am giving away secrets :) )

Though CWWF has not had healthy financial growth that it’s male rival QPW has seen, they have not required the multiple large cash injection’s that rival WINNOW has seen. They accepted a 200K loan from QPW, despite a balance sheet in excess of 150K, as a hedge against future growth problems. 1918 Year-In Review CWW seems to be rising from MHW’s ashes, picking up a tv show at the beginning of 1917 and using it to ramp up there own growth. A new federation also premiered Pro Wrestling Max, and held a C- show with-in their first 6 months of opening. Max may become the federation to beat in America alost over night. The down on his Luck Hector Andres, not finding work after MHW folded, was convicted of breaking and entering, and will have to survive a year in a Tia-wana jail. Elpf has not done itself any favors since then, in almost a decade of shows, it has gained little ground on either of it’s larger competitors, and has often been accused of being nothing but a bad copy cat. Often giving titles to the same competitors that EWA has recently crowned, in an effort to lend legitimacy to their belts, and ‘pure sport’ hybrid style. ELPF is running low on cash and with the industry already bursting at the seems in Britain and Europe, ELPH has little hope that any other fed will step in and bail them out. Ricky started his career in CWW with a fued that last over a year, coming out and challenging Kurt Turnbull, who would promptly thrash him. 15 straight losses taught Ricky a profound respect for the veterans. Ricky took these hard fought losses and developed the persona, Rock Hard. Though it may sound like a Rock-n-roll gimmick, it is actually a Body Builder gimmick, and he challenges all opponents to prove they can not only defeat him in the ring, but in ‘Being this damn Rock Hard!”. Ricky has seen success for his age with two runs at the top of the midcard with the CWW, Intercontinental belt, many observers believe it is only a matter of time before Rock Hard, Rocks it all the way to the top of the CWW. 1919 Year-In Review Two decades later, the revolution is still an underground phenomenon, I take pride in the fact that I felled the only Cult level Promotion to arise in the last 20 years. But I certainly mourn the fact that there are still 15 active promotions actively trying to corrupt the culture of the world. PWC Pheonix Pro wrestling opened this year, 5th active promotion in north America and the 2nd in as many years to open their doors. There are currently 583 eligible wrestlers in the world, and their ranks continue to swell year after year. I know you did not come here to listen to me reminisce about the last twenty years of the movement, but if you will indulge me for just one moment. For all of the losses we have suffered and all of the growth that has occurred I have taken pride in the fact that year after year we have attempted to stand for what is right and what is true. To each of you out there that is fighting the good fight, take wrestling to the mat’s and lets hold it down for the 3 three count this time! The rumors that Ron founded EWA simply as a way to get back his CWW title persist to this day. But now that he sits behind the mic, and lets the young guys rule the ring it is more of a running joke, than sore history it once was. EWA may still be trailing CWW in size and popularity, but with it’s huge roster and even more rabid fan base. EWA boasts a fairly international line up of both fans and talent. Led by the charismatic Heel Jesus Michaels, EWA is hoping to remain the number one wrestling company in Europe for at least the next Decade. Profile: Jesus Michaels Aka: The Lord Size: Heavy Weight Nationality: British Age: 32 Years Pro: 12 Wrestles for: EWA & BPW Record: 138-14-96 Accolades: 2 time & Current BPW World Heavy Weight Champ 1 time EWA Arena Champ 2 time & Current EWA World Heavy Weight Champ 11 times Hot 100, topping out at #19 Jesus Michaels has been in the wrestling ring actively almost as long as any current wrestler, with over a decade of experience and there from almost day 1 with the EWA. Jesus is truly home grown talent, though he has done stints in both BPW and CWW. During his Early Career Jesus’ played the role of the “Savior of Europe” taking on several foreign competitors, and loosing much of the time. After a short Face turn, in which Michaels defended the EWA from an influx of CWW talent, trying to ‘take over’, Jesus reconnected to both his British Heritage and Heel roots, joining the CWW invasion as their Lord. It was also at this time in real life that Michaels began working for CWW, an arrangement that lasted for 3 years. Though the run with CWW and the invasion have run their course, the Pompous Lord Jesus gimmick stuck. And now Jesus is having fun playing the part of heel champ in not one but two of Europe’s premier federation. As much soap opera and personal melo-drama than wrestling federation these days. Despite the crowded wrestling scene world wide, and the 4 other American Federations, NQW continues to offer a distinct Product. With the Triumphs and Failures of Jon Bryant, to never Humble Humberto Ortega’s on stage tirades. Though Humberto is now little more than an on screen Talent, his goal is still to bring NQW to the Heights that MHW once enjoyed in Mexico. A slower build and bank account that has grown almost 7000% over the last decade, will hopefully keep NQW from sliding into the same state of bankruptcy that consumed Humberto’s last company. 1921 Year-In Review What a year, this is the year that changed my life. I’ve given up, after 22 years in the trenches, fighting the good fight, I’ve had enough. Mark this day, in your calendar, this is the day, I gave in, I acknowledge I can not win, and as such I will not bother fighting. Wrestling is here to stay, and nothing I can do can slow down it’s growth, let alone kill it! A wise Person once said if you can’t beat them, make fun of them. And the new Promotion Tier 2, in Japan seems to be following that moto. Running during Tier 1’s down time, they are looking to bring a lighter style to the Japanese Islands. News Items: None. Absolute destruction. Tables, chairs and light bulbs, fire and barbed wire have been the order of the day. An unselfish take on booking as led to titles that have been spread evenly around the workers at both the main even and mid card levels. Though many of the stars of PWC can be seen else where, Phoenix is the only place to get your true hard core wrestling fix. 1922 Year-In Review In Just a year Tier 2 has come and gone, closing it’s doors after the small island nation of Japan proves that it can not Support 3 active wrestling companies. Such a tragic loss was off set by Canada’s second all female Promotion Women of the North. It remains to be seen if the Canadian country side can support 4 full time promotions, in what is becoming an ever more crowded north American wrestling scene. Boys will be boys as this year Martyr and Samuel Yilmaz both had troubles out side the ring. The former was busted for drug possession the latter for assaulting a fan after the show, who happened to be an off duty police officer. Yilmaz choose not to use his one phone call to talk to me, for some reason I am still not seen as a great friend of the professional wrestler. I see more work coming in the dieing wrestler area, and so am cutting down on some of the back story for now. as well I don't know the world as well as I once did, with all of the TV shows, all of the monthly shows and the japanese touring scheduals. I just don't have a feel for the world on the individual level that I once did, and I really do regret that. The Early years of CWW were absolutely awesome with the back and forth, and the rising young stars. but I looked at every event, and not just pull the attendance figures and rating. I must do something about that with out bogging myself down in the details to much.

I just completed 1923 & 1924, it's been about 8 game years since we got Title updates. I don't want to derail forward momentum by stopping cold turkey to do title histories. So today I give you the first of several title updates, I am hoping by the time I get through 1930 all of the feds will have seen thier title history updated at least once, and I will start the rotation over. MHMW trying to out shine the now burned out MHW. On a more somber note, probably the highest profile death in wrestling in it’s near quarter century run happened earlier this year. Warren Garner Passed away. A less surprising though no less tragic death of Martyr also occurred, many contend it was his refusal to stop using drugs that lead inevitably to his death. I am fascinated with the rise and continued sucess of CWW. so from time to time I think I am going take some time to put out their full cards. this one is a trip down memory lane. It is the first Card ever, for a federation & CWW. The colors are easily changed, but need to be 3 tone, so chime in on those. Special thanks go to FINisher for the Logo. spot on classic feel and good color scheme for the Era.
I miss Ron Hall & Mario Evans. I wanted to see their fued hit a global level. The wrestling world seems so empty without them. Maybe their fued can carry on via proxies.
Hey man thanks for reading! I watch my view count go up, and I always wonder if there are readers or just Google bot-2000 There were alot of compelling stories in the first decade, I think the world lacks some of those stories now, and a large part is my impatience. it is part of the reason I am trying to post up some full cards. (I posted 2 more in the post earlier on this page) I think 108 years is doable, but it may take a year plus to get there. I think I need to find the voice and the stars of the current generation. It would also help if one federation would pull a head to cult and then national and survive. I look around the world, and there is a definite lack of talented computer generated workers. The older workers just are not passing on their skill to the younger workers fast enough, I think a Cult or National level promo would help with more shows, and bringing together the top tier talent to learn from each other. Cult especially with their Upper mid and mid card talent learning from the best in the business, then going back and being the Main Event in the smaller promotions, there would be a much faster trickle down effect. Ok so here is a story for you one, that not giving out main events or other roster details has obsucred. NiKo Olsen has held the ELPF title 8 Times and ruled the Federation now for 15 years. he has got to be the most continually dominating force in any federation in this world.
