Does the CPU "Change Position" ?

I know that humans are able to change positions for players, but does the CPU also change positions for players ? I was just thinking about this because after recruiting in my solo league, I decided that a QB I recruited would be better served as a HB, and that I wanted to move a HB I currently have, to FB. Doing this would improve my team, but I'd hate to use the feature if the CPU doesnt also change positions to make its roster better (Id feel like I was getting one over on the CPU). I dont change positions often, and Ive never really noticed the CPU changing positions (although it may...hence my question), so I just thought about this

The CPU will make changes like CB to S, OG to OC and DE to DT, but it won't make massive changes on established players (ie, QB to HB). The only exception is when a player if recruited as an athlete. In the first preseason, the AI will try and find a best fit for the player.
