This starts fast with both teams brawling everywhere before the bell has even rung to officially begin this match. When it eventually does reach the ring order is never fully restored and the match more closely resembles a tornado tag match rather than the regular tag it is supposed to be. Both teams seem fairly even but in the end we see Fitzpaine miss a Decapitation Lariat attempt and get backdropped to the floor, allowing Bulldozer to get Langton up to his shoulders for Primus to hit a flying clothesline from the top to complete Doomsday Device and pick up the win for the All Star Team. The match was slow getting underway as Dermot made sure that Singh was ready, checking his face for blemishes and really frustrating Narahashi. The two men finally lock up and Narahashi gets the edge with a couple of arm drags and hop tosses, forcing Singh to drop to ringside to get a breather. But his breather doesn’t last long as he is nailed from behind with a chair by “Dazzling” Dave Diamond, forcing the referee to call for the bell and leaving Narahashi looking very angry in the middle of the ring… WINNER: The Sensational Singh by DQ RATING: D- [IMG]http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/DerekB83/BLW%20not%20ECW/People/DazzlingDaveDiamond.jpg[/IMG] Diamond Attacks Singh Dave Diamond doesn’t waste any time as he nails Dermot with a chairshot too, hitting him on the head and drawing blood quickly. Sing tries to squirm away from Diamond but a second chair shot to the back subdues him enough that he can’t go anywhere. Dermot gets to his knees to see Diamond hit Singh with a third shot and the crowd are cheering for Diamond as he turns back to Dermot. None of the men have a microphone but you can still see and hear what is being said thanks to the small crowd… Dermot: “Stop it! Stop it!!” Diamond: “Not until you give me what I want!” *THWACK* Dermot: “Please stop it! What do you want?” Diamond: “What do you think I want, numbnuts?! I want a match, one on one, with this guy. I’m sick of him p****ing out of matches with me, so I’m making sure he doesn’t do it again.” *THWACK* Dermot: “Stop hurting him! He’s done nothing to you!” Diamond: “I’ll stop hurting him when you say he’s going to face me at BLW: Cross The Line. That’s two weeks away. And I don’t want any excuses. If he’s hurt… he’s hurt. If he’s ill… he’s ill. But he will be in the ring with me and we will have a match. You understand?” Dermot: “But… I can’t….” *THWACK* Dermot: “Stop it!! Fine, you can have your match! Just stop hurting him!” Diamond: “You promise? I want your word, for what that’s worth, that I’ll get Singh and there won’t be any screwing me around. Cos if there is, you’ll be next” Dermot: “You’ve got my word! Now just leave him alone!” Diamond: “Fine. Here you go. You might want to look after him a bit, he doesn’t look like he’s in great shape just now.” And with that, Diamond takes his chair and heads to the back again, leaving Dermot to tend to The Sensational Singh who is clearly in a lot of pain from the chair shots he has taken. The cut on Dermot’s head is still bleeding a little bit but he seems unconcerned about his own pain compared to that of his client. The champion is out next on his motorcycle, revving the engine loudly and circling the ring a couple of times as the ring crew put the finishing touches to the cage. Grease Hogg looks surly and is quick to take a swing in Peverell’s direction before the fight has even begun, prompting the referee to get between them. He runs down the rules with the men before the match. Three rounds of five minutes, win by knock out, submission or stoppage at his discretion. If there is no winner in the time limit then the judges will decide, those judges are himself, Christian Black on commentary and “Playboy” Jake Sawyer. The men agree and after holding up the belt to the crowd the match is underway. Both men put up a guard against punches and throw a couple of them early on before Hogg charges straight at Peverell and forces them up against the cage. The two men try to get position as they throw punches at each other and roll around the cage walls with Hogg ferociously trying to end this one quickly. They fall to the mat and it’s pretty much the same story, with both men trying to pound each other into submission but neither man able to get position to do any real damage. When they eventually separate they both look a little tired but it doesn’t take long for both men to charge back in with punches, with Hogg barely getting inside a big left hook and picking Peverell up to drive him hard against the cage. Peverell tries to drive some elbows down onto Hogg but Hogg just shrugs them off and crashes him back into the cage on the other side of the ring before driving him into the canvas with a spinebuster. Peverell does all he can to make sure Hogg can’t do much more damage, but he suffers several punches into the body before Peverell can lock on a headlock, effectively neutralising the big man for the rest of the round. Hogg doesn’t break eye contact with Peverell throughout the rest and once again comes out charging, trying to catch Peverell off guard. But Peverell anticipate well and sidesteps the charge and hits a crushing downward punch that catches Hogg hard on the back of the head. Hogg is stunned by the punch and falls to the floor, giving Peverell enough time to get a back mount and try for a rear naked choke. Hogg fights the move as best he can but every time he breaks the grip Peverell hits a punch to the side of this head. Referee McArthuer looks closely but he doesn’t call an end to the match and Hogg manages to roll out of the move. Peverell charges in looking to finish off his opponent but Hogg leaps up with a high knee and catches Peverell hard under the jaw, creating distance between the two for a short while. Both men get to their feet and Hogg charges in again with a spear to take Peverell down to the mat and now he tries to finish the match, raining down punches on his challenger as he tries to block them. Again McArthuer looks closely but again he doesn’t call it despite the pressure looking overwhelming. Peverell eventually manages to get his feet up and under Hogg’s punches, preventing him from letting fly with them and rolling him back into what would normally be a pinning predicament, McArthuer almost counts it but holds himself back. The two get back to their feet again with both looking tired but Hogg is determined to finish this and charges in only to be hit with a rising knee into the head and chest. Hogg’s takedown is blocked and the momentary stun from being caught with the knee is all it takes for Peverell to fire off a monstrous Dream Left Hook that catches Hogg square in the temple. Hogg goes down in highlight reel KO fashion and this time McArthuer doesn’t hesitate to call it, with little more than ten second to go in the second round, Grease Hogg is knocked out!! Your Winner And NEW King Of The Cage "Hands Of Stone" Bradford Peverell RATING: D Peverell celebrates as he is handed the belt, with Hogg lying dazed on the canvas and looking in on fit state to argue with anything just now. The crowd seem more than a little surprised that he won but still happy about it as they cheer for the “Hands Of Stone” and the new King Of The Cage. Rayne & Eddie Howard) vs Frankie Perez & Remmy Skye Winners to receive a BLW World Tag Team title match The long reigning Coast Zone Tag champs came into this match full of their usual mix of relaxed confidence and intensity, ready to face one of the brightest young teams in Norht America. Both sides have their fans and both sets of fans made themselves known during this match as the two teams put their bodies on the line. The fans cheer for Remmy’s suicidal over the top plancha just as much as they cheer for some of the swift, smooth double teams from the Natural Storm. And pretty much everyone was on the edge of their seat when Frankie Perez went for his dreaded top rope double stomp, only for Howard to pull his partner out the way just in time. The superior team work clearly belongs to the Natural Storm and they use this to their advantage whenever they are on offense, but Skye’s unpredictability and Perez’s sheer ability to create violence keeps turning the tide back in their favour. The match breaks down with all four men brawling around the ring, leaving Remmy and Rayne as the legal men though not fighting each other. Skye hits a variation mule kick on Eddie Howard, sending him flying through the ropes and out the ring just in time for Skye to save his partner from being the victim of a Rayne Drop (Death Valley Driver). Skye kicks Rayne in the gut and that forces him to fall forward, with Perez’s weight adding to the fall. Perez is fast to capitalise from the position he’s in and locks in a variation of the Rings Of Saturn that has Rayne screaming in pain. Perez sees his partner, the legal man, on the top rope and uses the move to roll Rayne over onto his shoulders as Skye comes off and connects with a Skye Dive (swanton). Perez goes over to stop Eddie Howard breaking up the fall as Skye makes the cover and gets the pinfall for his side, earning them a BLW World Tag Team title match in the process. Jett gives Katie a quick kiss at ringside before Kingman gets bored waiting and hits a baseball slide on Jett sending him into the first row of fans and giving them another close up view of the action. Kingman and Jett brawl around ringside, with Jett countering Kingman and posting him facefirst and then back dropping him onto the floor at ringside. The crowd get to their feet as Jett slides into the ring and warms up for a high risk move, but he quickly puts the brakes on when Kingman grabs Katie and puts her between the two of them. Katie doesn’t look pleased and breaks free of his grasp, slapping Kingman hard and then yelling at him as Jett slingshots himself over the top and into a huracanrana before giving Katie another quick kiss at ringside. Kingman manages to turn the momentum around by grabbing Jett’s tights and pulling him into the ringpost before taking Jett’s shoulder and beginning to work it over. He feed’s Jett’s left arm around the ringpost and yanks hard on it, wrapping it around the post and forcing Jett to yell out in pain, repeating the move several times before Jett rolls into the ring to escape. Kingman works over Jett’s shoulder with stomps and a surfboard that pulls back on the arms as Kingman yells abuse to Katie Cameron at ringside. Kingman keeps up the pressure on over the next few minutes before Jett manages to mount a comeback, getting to his feet and using his good arm to throw a few punches and elbows. Kingman tries a clothesline to slow him down but Jett ducks hit and hits a spectacular Pele kick that knocks Jett silly. A quick cover doesn’t pay dividends and starts bulding momentum by hitting a Stinger Splash in the corner. He follows up with a big running knee to the gut and then tries for the springboard Famouser to complete the Emergency Landing, but Kingman evades the move and tries for a quick cradle pin that gets a two count. They get to their feet and Jett is quicker, catching Kingman with a kick to the gut and hoisting Kingman up for the Jett Take Off (Roll Through Powerbomb) but he can’t finish the move because of his shoulder. Kingman capitalises and catches Jett with a Black Out (Downward Spiral) but only gets a two count from the move!! Kingman can’t believe that Jett kicked out of one of his finishing moves with his upset being clearly visible. Katie tries to encourage Jett to get up and Kingman lunges to try and slap her through the rope but she moves. He yells at her before he turns back to the business in ahnd only to step right into a chair shot right between the eyes from Sayeed Ali, who pulled the referee out the ring and punched him between the eyes moments ago. The crowd saw everything but Kingman saw nothing until the chair connected with his skull. Jett sees and hears that and tries to attack Sayeed but Sayeed responds quickly with a chair shot to Jett’s gut before dropping him with a GBH Driver (Implant DDT) on the chair. Sayeed isn’t done yet as he sees Kingman slowly getting back up to his feet. Sayeed winds the chair up like he’s going to hit Kingman out of the park and swings, connecting with Kingman’s head and making a sickening sound. Kingman is busted open as he lies facedown on the mat with Sayeed standing over him. Katie tries to rescue Jett but Sayeed cuts her off on his way up to the top turnbuckle, taking the chair with him. Sayeed is on the top rope and has his choice of targets as he dives from the top with the chair under him, crashing down on top of the prone figure of Barry Kingman on the mat. The crowd don’t know how to respond as Sayeed yells out to Jett and Kingman “Just like old times, motherf***ers!” and then leaves, dumping the battered chair in front of Katie on his way. For indy fans this is one of the biggest matches they could hope to see as the indy darling “Vintage” Steve Flash goes up against another indy fan favourite in the BLW World Champion, “Shooter” Sean Deeley. The two men have never met in singles action before and there is a buzz going around that either man can win this one. Unlike much of tonight’s show, there is an air of respect between the two men as they shake hands before the match begins and start things out slowly, each feeling out the other and not rushing into anything. A long series of chain wrestling shows off the skills of both men, with Deeley seemingly being more in control thanks to his amateur wrestling background while Flash uses his experience to get even. The match continues at a slow pace for a while as they wrestle each other in a methodical style, trying to pick limbs and wear each other down slowly. Deeley gains an upperhand in this with a series of moves that control Flash’s head, because as we all know, if you control the head you control the body. Several wear down holds later and the match picks up momentum as Flash gets to his feet from a hold and shoots Deeley into the ropes, ducking a clothesline and then backdropping the champ before hitting a standing moonsault into a mount position and hitting some forearm shots. Flash picks up some more momentum as both men get to their feet by hitting a beautiful standing dropkick that sends Deeley reeling to the floor. Flash doesn’t let Deeley recover and follows him out with a running dropkick between the lower ropes that sends Deeley rolling into the front rows of the crowd. The match doesn’t spend long out there though as Flash quickly gets Deeley back into the ring for a pin attempt and then begins to work him over in the corner with some shoulder rams. Deeley tries to fight his way out of the corner but Flash lets fly with a big knee and follows up with some martial arts style kicks to the chest, finishing off the combo by using the middle rope to elevate himself into a final kick to the head. Flash again goes for the pin but only gets a two count. Deeley seems to be struggling more and more though as Flash helps him to his feet and shoots him off the ropes, picking him up and dropping him with a hot shot that rebounds Deeley almost back into the middle of the ring. Flash doesn’t go for the cover this time as he makes his way to the top rope and leaps off with a huge guillotine legdrop… but Deeley sees it coming and rolls out of the way just in time and Flash hits nothing but canvas. Both men are slow to get to their feet but Deeley is first up and throws a right hand at Flash, who returns with one of his own. The two trade blows slowly unti Flash blocks one and then lights up Deeley with a series of rights and then shooting him off the ropes while he has him unbalanced. Flash misses a clothesline and then looks for a backdrop only to be caught and kicked in the face. Flash sells the kick and then walks into Deeley’s grasp where he is launched with a high overhead belly to belly suplex. Flash tries to recover quickly but he ends up in another suplex that slows him down but doesn’t keep him down. He lunges into a clothesline attempt but Deeley ducks it and then lands a massive German suplex that he bridges for a two count. Flash rolls his shoulder out but Deeley doesn’t let go of the move and manages to hit a second bridging German for a long two count. Again he doesn’t release his grip and he hits a third German, but is unable to bridge it this time. Flash is in real trouble as Deeley begins stalking him, looking for the right moment to go for a submission victory. Flash gets up to one knee and Deeley moves in for the kill, only for Flash to counter and trip him to the mat. Deeley and Flash race back to their feet with Deeley trying for a knockdown clothesline, but Flash catches it over his shoulder and tries to go for a Flash Bang (Rock Bottom) only for Deeley to counter it with an elbow. Deeley thinks fast and take Flash down to the mat by the arm that was meant to do the Flash Bang and he locks it into a vicious shoulder lock. Flash’s arm is back at an almost 90 degree angle and it’s right in the middle of the ring. Flash tries to fight his way out of it but Deeley has it set and it only takes a few more seconds for Flash to tap out, giving Deeley his fourth successful defense of the BLW World Championship. I've made sure to pay them all a little more than NYCW, it kinda hurts our bank balance but I can live with that for now. The long term benefits outweight the short term damage. Only problem is we're going to be missing a few key people while we do this show... like Deeley and both of Split Personality. And Jett... but we can live with that, just means we can use some of our other talents. Also... Brandon Smith and Primus Allen... a few internet fans have spotted them on our DVDs and they seem to be leaking onto the internet too. Potential... and tons of it. I might have to give them a bigger push if they keep catching on. Unpredictable went well, I don't think anyone expected to see a title change, let alone the King Of The Cage. I think Peverell is someone with a very bright future ahead of him and his gimmick is perfect for the King Of The Cage division. Anywho.. time to get some sleep. It's been a long day and I've got a lot more to think about for the next show. Some of these guys need some notice just in case they forget to show up for me. I can't wait to see NYCW's next show, it'll probably be headlined by Whistler and Land Mass. Fun times. :) Christian Black
From: ProWrestlingHits.com/News By: Theodore Logan
PGHW New Owner And Head Booker For those that have been out of the loop in the last few days, Pride Glory Honour Wrestling (PGHW) has gone through massive changes, installing a new owner, a new head booker and a new Glory Crown champion in the space of three days. Speaking at a press conference a few days ago, puro legend Sadaharu Jimbo announced his retirement from the wrestling industry and thanked everyone for their continued respect, admiration and loyalty to both himself and to PGHW as a whole. He then brought out his son Seiji Jimbo, aged just 19 years old, who had been training at SAISHO for the last month or so, and announced that he would be taking over the day to day running of the company as well as beginning his run as a wrestler for PGHW. He made his debut with a loss against Lee Bennett just yesterday but his strong showing has clearly positioned him as someone who just needs to pick up some experience before he goes on to become one of the promotion’s figureheads in years to come. The second change was the installation of a new booker by young Seiji Jimbo who is clearly taking his new role seriously despite the enormous workload it must be putting on him. Yosuke Narita, who worked for WLW as one of their lead heels until recently, was given the job, replacing his father’s favoured choice of Nobuatsu Tatsuko, a man many feel was the reason for Eisaku Hoshino leaving the company almost 2 years ago. Hoshino himself has yet to wrestle a match in 2008, and rumours have it that Narita is looking to bring in several new names to the promotion, with Hoshino being high on that list along with several of his former WLW colleagues. Whether this will materialise will be a test of just how much change Seiji Jimbo will allow in his promotion, as PGHW has always presented itself as a very serious wrestling promotion, so the introduction of high fliers and former talents may not be looked favourably upon by fans and his father alike. The last major change in PGHW was the crowning of a new champion for the promotion as “Untouchable” Shuji Inukai put an end to Yoshimi Mushashibo’s 21 month reign as Glory Crown holder. Once again, it is unclear if this was a change implemented under Seiji’s reign or if it is the last input of Sadaharu’s ownership, but many would have expected Seiji to pick Eisaku Kunomasu as his champion, having had a significant amount of his training under his expert guidance. One thing is for sure though… PGHW is undergoing a period of rapid change and it will be interesting to see what happens to them over the next few months as the new Seiji/Narita regime begin their reign over the most critically acclaimed wrestling promotion in the world of professional wrestling.

The Debut Of Jay Chord It would be impossible to call yourself a wrestling fan if you didn’t know a few names… Sam Strong, Bruce the Giant, Sam Keith and Rip Chord. These four men have been stars and champions wherever they have travelled in the world and so when one of their children debut, you know they are going to be good. Having trained with his father Rip Chord in the Mid Atlantic Wrestling promotion, it is a surprise to many that he will not be making his debut with them. MAW is known for grooming youngsters into fantastic young talents and would appear to be a logical choice for Jay to make his start, but it seems he is striking out on his own path early in his career. The somewhat brooding youngster was last night revealed to be making his debut in Japan with the INSPIRE promotion and the company is already making a big deal out of this, hyping Jay as one of wrestling’s next big things. There have been unconfirmed reports from some of those that have trained with Jay that he is very determined to make his own career choices and to avoid the pitfalls that affected his father so deeply, so by taking the bold move to debut with INSPIRE, Jay is aiming to not only be taken very seriously but to distance himself from the weight of expectation that comes with having a multiple time World Champion as a father. We at PWHits obviously wish Jay the best of luck and can’t wait to see just how good he is.
From: ProWrestlingHits.com/IndyNews By: Robert Greene
Indy Star Suffers Potentially Career Threatening Injury While the internet may be very vocal about how much they like or dislike certain wrestlers, there is one thing that unites all smarks in sympathy and that is a major injury. Despite our vocal beliefs we all come together for a star when they suffer a major injury and hope that they will eventually make a return, regardless of their talents or lack thereof. Popular indy star and one of CZCW’s longest serving wrestlers, Fox Mask, suffered a major concussion at a recent WLW show while wrestling Reaper Dante. Fox, working as Snow Fox at the time, landed badly performing a plancha dive but continued wrestling until he collapsed in the ring and the match was abandoned. This injury is obviously a major blow to Fox who will not even be allowed near a wrestling ring for at least 12 months while the swelling in his brain reduces, but could also ruin his dream of wrestling in the BHOTWG Junior division, something he finally seemed to be on the road to accomplishing thanks to his tour with WLW. We at ProWrestlingHits wish Fox all the best in his recovery and hope that the concussion isn’t as severe as has been diagnosed. Fox has been injured chasing his dream and we all hope he gets the chance to continue chasing it when he recovers from this horrible injury.

Card For BLW: Cross The Line I know that I’m probably in the minority, even among fans of indy wrestling, but BLW are really worth checking out. They’ve got some fun storylines running through their shows, they hold 2 events a month so they’ve got some actual continuity and they are trying to do some new stuff with things like the King Of The Cage and the guys they are pushing. It isn’t your typical indy promotion packed with flippy floppy high flyers and STRONG STYLE~! Wannabes, it isn’t bland sports entertainment with over the top gimmicks and it isn’t your old slow paced traditional wrestling promotion like NYCW… in fact, it’s a fun mix of almost everything, except lucha libre really, so there’s almost bound to be something you like on their shows. Check them out, here’s their card for the next show.
“Vintage” Steve Flash vs “Mr XFW” Frankie Future For a shot at the BLW World Championship Steve Flash pushed Deeley to the limit at Unpredictable in one of the most exciting matches BLW has had so far and many feel that a second match between the two could see the result go either way. But just as that match was close, so was the last match between Flash and “Mr XFW” Frankie Future who also wants a shot at Deeley’s championship, not to mention a chance to get even with Steve Flash. Jake Sawyer has made this match to help these two men settle the score once and for all, with the winner earning the chance to take on “Shooter” Sean Deeley for the BLW World Championship!! Isolating himself from others and showing up only to get paid, Griffith takes orders from no-one and does things only for himself. His first BLW match was a brutal one sided destruction of Mark Smart in the cage but this match will not be the same. “The Dragon” Mikey James brings years of martial arts experience with him into the cage, mixing karate and kickboxing into his unique offensive style and ****y demeanour. With these two men clashing inside the cage, this fight promises to be explosive!! At Unpredictable, Diamond forced Dermot O’Logical to accept a match on Singh’s behalf will the promise that if Singh backed out of it, Diamond will hunt them down and inflict a lot more pain on them than a few chair shots inflicted last time. This match promises to be a wild affair and both men will be fired up and determined to prove who is the better man, but only one man can walk out victorious! “No Gimmick Needed” Barry Kingman vs “The East Side Assassin” Sayeed Ali Sayeed Ali has been on a tear in BLW, creating carnage wherever he goes and never more so than at Unpredictable when he laid out Barry Kingman and Jacob Jett in a bloody and violent assault reminiscent of the assault he committed on Kingman in 4C up in Canada. These two men have a violent and often bloody history together and this match promises to be no different. But one question hangs over Sayeed at this time… what exactly did Carl Batch want with him? It’s no secret that Batch has been on the look out for a new client ever since Eddie Peak left for TCW, has he finally found his man? “Super Ninja” Fumihiro Ota vs Fuse Hidekazu The mysterious Super Ninja was a victim of a brutal assault from the Burning Bridges stable not long ago, where Burning EXILE, Fuse Hidekazu and Dynamite Narahashi pummeled him with all of their finishers. Ota is seeking revenge in this match against Hidekazu and both men are more than capable of hurting each other if the need arises. This should be a very personal match, but Ota will need to look out for interference from EXILE and Dynamite as the Burning Bridges don’t go anywhere without back up waiting nearby. “The Insider” Mark Smart vs Leper Messiah A second chance or more punishment from “Playboy” Jake Sawyer? It didn’t take long for Smart to get on the wrong side of Jake Sawyer and he’s going to pay for it once again in this mismatch against the dangerous sociopathic monster, Leper Messiah. With the odds stacked firmly against Smart, he will have to once again at least try to show Sawyer that he wants a job as a wrestler in this match that no-one expects him to win. But word on his blog has it that he has been training harder than ever on some new moves. Will Smart be able to surprise everyone and pull out something new? Or will Messiah’s size, power and sadistic nature simply overwhelm The Insider? He’s back in the Tri-State area and he’s looking to bring his unique brand of wrestling back into wrestling rings across the area. His weird style and personality has always entertained fans even when he’s causing trouble but his opponent is not someone who wants to be entertained… “Ace Express” Rick Sanders is a bitter man who wants to get even for being ignored for so many years and at Cross The Line he says he is going to make an example of Air Attack Weasel. To see all these matches and maybe even meet the wrestlers of BLW, be sure to head to The Riot Act Club, New York on Friday May 12th. Tickets are available from BorderLineWrestling.com or from the venue and are priced at just $6. with just 300 tickets available, be sure to get yours early to avoid disappointment!!
A 4C Main Event on BLW? Good times, man. Good times. :) And never underestimate Black Hat Bailey. That dude will stretch you into knots.
BHB retired already, he's one of the vets who retired not long ago who was making way for a new generation... could probably wrestle rings round a lot of my roster, but ain't a wrestler any more. NYCW didn't actually have a horrible show... but they ain't winning the regional battle this month. :)

"Vintage" Steve Flash vs "Mr XFW" Frankie Future - Winner gets a BLW World title shot Deeley vs Flash has been done already, though there would be no harm doing it again (and I'm sure it will happen again), so what I'm thinking is that Frankie wins via cheating and because of the way he won Flash gets inserted into the next title match to make it a three way. "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith vs "The Dragon" Mikey James - BLW Cage Fight Honestly this could go either way, Jack's probably a little rougher and tougher but Mikey has the martial arts kicks. I'll go for natural toughness. "Dazzling" Dave Diamond vs The Sensational Singh Singh to get one over on Triple-D again "No Gimmick Needed" Barry Kingman vs "The East Side Assassin" Sayeed Ali Kingman via DQ when Ali goes overboard with the ass-whoopin'. "Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota vs Fuse Hidekazu Ota to get a measure of revenge against one of the Burning Bridges crew "The Insider" Mark Smart vs Leper Messiah I would say poor Mark Smart, but lets face it the crowd love to see this guy take a beating. Air Attack Weasel vs "Ace Express" Rick Sanders Could go either way, but I'll go the way of the Weasel

Alas, poor NYCDub. It'll be a shame when the BLW drives you under. Quick Picks For BLW: Cross The Line "Vintage" Steve Flash vs "Mr XFW" Frankie Future - Winner gets a BLW World title shot Mr XFW cheats Steve out of the win, and the crowd builds more and more anticipation for Flash vs. Sean. "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith vs "The Dragon" Mikey James - BLW Cage Fight He claims one back, and has the advantage of being younger. Also, he's more Indie. "Dazzling" Dave Diamond vs The Sensational Singh But it's a non-finish, like a DQ or count-out. "No Gimmick Needed" Barry Kingman vs "The East Side Assassin" Sayeed Ali Sayeed is an awesome Hardcore worker and a brutal heel. Kingman, unfortunately, seems stuck with a gimmick being made of his terminal blandness. "Super Ninja" Fumihiro Ota vs Fuse Hidekazu It's a match between Japanese workers, so no run-ins for the match. Puro FTW! And thusly, Fumi wins. "The Insider" Mark Smart vs Leper Messiah An outside choice - Mark might well pull off a flash roll-up while you bleed off Tully Arthurs' overness onto a younger dude. Air Attack Weasel vs "Ace Express" Rick Sanders Cheating FTW. Weasel's good, but the upper-card pairing need to be kept strong.

But sadly for him, that didn’t work for long as Sanders decked him while he had his back turned demonstrating to the fans how smart he is… things never really looked up for Weasel after that as he fought a losing battle for his own knee and was eventually forced to tap out to the Figure Four Leglock, much to the amusement of Kristen on commentary. The crowd seem to be mostly on Leper’s side judging by the chants, but they still give Smart a few cheers as he tentatively walks down to the ring, and to his credit, actually steps into the ring with Messiah while he once again begins to talk menacingly about the torture he is about to inflict on Smart. Kristen: “I’ve seen guys like Mark Smart all across wrestling before.” Black: “Full of heart, determined to follow their dreams, willing to do whatever it takes to get a break in this industry even at the cost of their own body?” Kristen: “No, moron. He’s a loser, just like most guys who try to talk to me. He looks wimpy, he’s stupid, he’s probably poor and he’s never ever going to win a match except against other losers. I hate losers and this guy is a finr example of exactly the kind of loser I hate the most I hope Leper Messiah breaks him in half.” Black: “Unfortunately for Mark Smart, that might be exactly what happens to him tonight…” Messiah begins this match simply playing mindgames with Smart, looming at him and slowly backing him into corners without even trying to hit him. Smart doesn’t know what to do so tries to kick at Messiah’s knees, which finally gets the monster going as he tries to swat Smart away with some wild swinging blows. Smart manages to slip behind Messiah and gets him down to one knee with a series of kicks and a chock block. But the momentum doesn’t last long as Messiah spins on one knee and grabs him round the throat. Messiah tries to break the grip but it’s futile and he gets chokeslammed hard into the mat. From there on out it’s a slow torture session as Messiah dominates Smart, first standing on Smart’s hands and then stamping on them, causing Smart to howl in pain. To his credit, Smart doesn’t give up and Messiah ups the ante, crushing Smart’s ribcage by standing on him and leaning on the ropes. Messiah pulls Smart to his feet and lifts him into a long sustained vertical suplex that he follows up on by standing on Smart again, not letting him get any breath. Smart falls victim to a second long sustained suplex that has Messiah smiling a demented smile from ear to ear. Referee McArthuer tries to plead with Messiah to finish the match as he is clearly dominating the whole thing but not trying for a pin or submission. After considering the request for a moment, Messiah picks Smart up to his feet again and hoists him up for what looks like a suplex, only to turn it into a diving powerbomb in mid move (snap Orange Crush type move) that looks like it destroys Smart. The crowd give a collective “ooooh” as Messiah counts the three count along with the referee. But as some fans had predicted, when it comes to Singh’s entrance he is flanked by Dermot O’Logical who has a house microphone in hand. Dermot: “Ladies and gentlemen, if you please. Tonight, The Sensational Singh, the greatest wrestler on the planet and the man with the best skincare regime I have ever seen, is scheduled to face that man in the ring there, “Dastardly” Dave Diamond. But as you may also know, “Dastardly” Dave Diamond forced me to accept this match on behalf of The Sensational Singh by hitting him repeatedly with a steel chair until I had no choice but to do accept for him.” The crowd seem happy to remember those chair shots and Diamond revels in their cheers in the ring. Dermot: “But ladies and gentlemen, I have mixed news for you. For you see, tonight The Sensational Singh has other commitments that mean he cannot face “Dastardly” Dave Diamond, no matter how much he wants to do it.” Singh pretends to look fired up for the match as Dermot “struggles” to hold him back. Dermot: “You see, tonight The Sensational Singh has a charity meal to attend. And as everyone knows, charity is far more important than fighting. At the announce table Kristen suddenly seems to be a lot happier and is full of praise for Sawyer, even before he says or does anything. In one hand, Sawyer has a glass of a dark red wine but what is most noticable is a lack of a microphone. Instead, he simply gestures towards Dermot and Singh to carry on what they are doing, prompting the two to have a quick, private team talk. Black: “I wonder what Jake Sawyer is doing here just now. He must be happy that Mark Smart took such a beating from Leper Messiah just moments ago, but what is he out here to do right now. A few other things clearly be lip read… Mark Smart… pain… the boss… and as Dermot turns back to face the crowd he seems to have a new tone in his voice. Dermot: “Ladies and gentlemen, it seems there has been further miscommunication between myself and The Sensational Singh when I, uh… didn’t hear him properly. With Singh backed into a corner Diamond slowly measured him for a high punch and then a low punch, with Singh lowering or raising his guard to fail to block each shot. Diamond’s momentum finally was turned against him when Singh countered an Irish whip to the buckle with such force that Diamond was sent over the top rope and to the floor, landing right at the feet of Dermot O’Logical who thought long and hard about kicking Diamond while he was down, only to remember about Sawyer watching this match not far away. Even so, Diamond’s recovery was distracted long enough for him to not see Singh climb to the top rope and come flying off with a hanging cross body block that gets the crowd on it’s feet. Singh recovers first and hits Diamond with some kicks as he makes his way to his feet before being rolled into the ring. Singh pulls Diamond’s head over the apron and delivers a couple of elbows across the sternum before getting Dermot to wipe the sweat from his brow at ringside. Singh wastes some time before he climbs to the top, but Diamond sees this and dives to the ropes, causing Singh to lose his balance and crotch himself on the top turnbuckle, making Dermot furious at ringside as he complains to the referee about a low blow. Diamond pulls Singh down from the top rope and into position for the Dazzle Driver (Styles Clash) and hits it into the middle of the ring, rolling into a pin attempt. But Dermot still has the referee and is complaining vehemently about the low blow that Diamond used. Diamond realises that he isn’t going to be able to win with Dermot there and pulls him into the ring by his collar. The crowd pop as Dermot tries to beg away from Diamond, but Diamond backs Dermot into the corner and pummels him with right hands until he is down low into the corner where begins stomping him instead. The referee tries to stop Diamond and manages to do it, although Diamond seems fired up and looks like he might hit the ref. With Diamond distracted, Singh recovers long enough to grab him into a quick school boy and the referee doesn’t see Singh pulling on the tights as he counts to three. The fight goes through the crowd but with Sayeed mostly in control in his home environment, using whatever comes to hand to punish Kingman again. Carl Batch lets loose a constant string of verbal in Kingman’s direction, insulting him or hyping up Sayeed as the match goes on. As they finally get to the ring Kingman has managed to gain a little offense, backdropping Sayeed to the floor and beginning to methodically pick apart Sayeed’s left arm. Kingman wraps Sayeed’s arm around the ringpost, trying to pull the shoulder out of joint or even to dislocate the elbow with some painful looking offense. Batch never stops talking, letting Kingman know how much he sucks as Sayeed rolls into the ring for a moment, allowing Kingman to quickly give chase to Batch around the ring before Sayeed regains the momentum in the ring with a knee to the head that stops Kingman in his tracks. Sayeed begins to pick up a lot of momentum as he starts Kingman’s tour around the ring, first ramming his head into each of the corners before whipping Kingman to a corner and then following up with a big running back elbow. Kingman isn’t even allowed a moment to catch his breath as he then slumps down in the corner and his face meets the sole of Sayeed’s boot with a facewash and then a big facewash kick that has Kingman in real trouble. That earns a two count before Kingman kicks out. Sayeed shakes some of the stiffness out of his arm as he helps Kingman to his feet, looking for a powerbomb but Kingman manages to slip out of it and with lightning speed, catch Sayeed with a Black Out (downward Spiral). Kingman goes for the cover but Sayeed gets a shoulder up. Kingman gets to his feet and begins stomping away on Sayeed’s shoulder, throwing technique out of the window and concentrating on hurting him straightforward offense. Sayeed doesn’t seem to respond well to being kicked in the face and is less than happy when Kingman uses a series of facewashes on him before hitting him with a big facewash kick in the corner. Still only a two count for Kingman but he quickly turns it around and locks in the Kingman Krippler (crossface submission) on Sayeed who is in severe pain. The ropes are a long stretch away as Sayeed begins to inch his way towards them eventually getting his foot on the ropes. Kingman begins to look frustrated as Batch continues his stream of verbiage, earning himself a swipe from Kingman. Batch insults Kingman further and the ref is briefly distracted before, allowing Sayeed to hit Kingman with a low blow and then land the G.B.H Driver (Implant DDT) to get the pinfall. For once Ota seems happy to take the early offensive advantage as he gets Fuse into the ring and puts together a string of kicks to maintain his pressure. The early going in the match is all Ota until Fuse manages to counter and lock in a Furusawa armbar. Ota struggles against the feared hold and eventually gets to the ropes, but the damage is done and Fuse knows it. Fuse works over Ota’s arm for much of the next few minutes, stretching muscles, twisting joints, applying many variation armbars to cause as much pain to Ota as he can and all done with clinical efficiency. Ota barely has any counter offense as Fuse locks him down for a few minutes but Ota eventually finds a way to escape some of the offense by using his feet. A high head kick stuns Fuse enough to buy Ota some time and a drop toe hold gets him into position for a Ninja Strike (running enziguri) that decks Fuse. But the Japanese technician kicks out of the Ninja Strike after a long two count. Ota doesn’t lose focus and prepares for a second one, only to be be caught from behind by Dynamite Narahashi leaping into a Narahashi Cutter (RKO). Dragon is the smaller man, but far quicker and probably more deadly when it comes to striking. Griffith is bigger, strong, more experienced and probably better when it comes to grappling. Before the match starts Griffith leans his hands against the cage and looks to the mat, seemingly almost isolating himself from everything around him while Mikey bounces around, staying light on his feet. Submission of knockouts win this three round bout, with it going to the judges if there is no winner by then. As the bell rings the first round gets underway. Mikey lets Griffith know what he’s all about with a quick front kick that almost catches him napping. Griffith wants to get in close and bully Mikey around like he did to Mark Smart, perhaps even using the cage in the same brutal fashion as before. Much of the first round consists of Griffith getting as close as he can and Mikey trying to kick Jack’s legs from under him. A feinted leg kick sees Jack cower away and almost end up with his head being taken off as Mikey throws a brutal kick. Griffith is backed against the cage and Mikey shows a killer instinct, throwing some solid punches and hard head kicks. But Griffith weathers that storm as he lowers his head and puts his all into charging Mikey against the cage across the ring, smashing him hard into it. Griffith launches some hard knees into Mikey’s gut and then grabs him by the head to slam his head back against the unmoving cage. Mikey looks dazed as Griffith grabs him and then sends him across the ring, launching him into the cage on the other side. Mikey falls to the mat and Griffith tries to finish thing with some mounted punches, driving his knuckles into Mikey as hard as he can while Mikey squirms and guards. The round ends like that as the bell rings, and Jack Griffith looks at McArthuer to see if the fight is over but the ref simply says it’s the end of the round. The second round starts as explosively as the last one ended, but with Mikey hitting a dropkick on Jack’s good leg, forcing him to the mat as he immediately rolls and tries to lock in a rear naked choke. Jack fights out of it as fast as he can but Mikey is behind him and has a partial grip of his throat. Mikey realises that Jack has him blocked and changes tack, using a drop toe hold as a method of transferring into a knee bar that has Jack in pain. Jack kicks back with his free leg agains Mikey, connecting with some strong shots to the midsection before managing to break the move. Mikey is first to his feet and aims a massive roundhouse at Jack’s head on his way up but Jack sharply ducks it and then catches Mikey with a low blow that the referee can do nothing about. Jack is a little slow to capitalise but then goes for the Crossface Chickenwing that Mikey tries hard to fight out of. Jack almost has his hands clinched as Mikey struggles desperately to get some air into him while Jack presses on his windpipe… but the inevitable happens and Jack locks his hands. Mikey tries to power his way out unsuccessfully and then is taken down to the mat as Jack grapevines the submission. Mikey makes a spirited attempt to get out even then but is eventually forced to tap out. The two men trade wild punches as both of them try to get an early advantage before they both go flying into the crowd when Future charges Flash. The brawl barely slows down despite unseating a couple of fans, with both men rolling around on the floor among the chairs. Future is first to take advantage of the environment as he picks up a chair and waffles Flash with it, sending him stumbling into the laps of the few fans who aren’t yet standing up. Future heads over to the concession stand and sweeps it clear with one arm, placing the chair next to it before he goes over to retrieve Steve Flash from the crowd. Flash has recovered a little and both men start trading blows again, with Flash creating some seperation by catching Future with a dropkick that sends him staggering backwards onto the table. Flash doesn’t hesitate as he uses the chair as a springboard, looking for an elbow drop on Future who quickly rolls out of the way… **CRASH** … as Flash puts himself through the concession stand table. Future looks stunned as Flash lies in the remains of the table and merchandise, with the crowd more than a little stunned themselves before they start the familiar “holy s***!” chant. Future pulls Flash from the wreckage and starts dragging him back to the ring, stopping only to get behind him and begin kicking him back instead. Flash is out of it as Future rolls him into the ring and climbs up to the top rope, certainly not his home turf. Flash slowly gets to his feet while Future sets himself and comes off with an elbow to Flash’s skull. Future goes for the cover but Flash kicks out at two. The crowd rally behind Flash as Future looks ready to try and end this match, setting himself into position for the Frank-N-Hurter (Roaring Elbow), but Flash ducks the move expertly and then connects with an enziguri style kick to stun Future who stumbles back to a corner. Flash follows up with a series of kicks that connect hard with Future’s gut before using the middle rope to elevate himself into a face kick that connects hard. Flash looks fired up and appeals to the crowd while Future rolls out to the floor to try and get his breath. Flash doesn’t slow down though as he shoots himself off the ropes and looks for a dropkick through the ropes, but Future evades it, slipping behind Flash and quickly driving him forward into the ringpost. The crowd don’t look pleased at all. Future posts Flash a second time for good measure and then rolls him back into the ring where he proceeds to slow and deliberately stomp each of Flash’s limbs, driving the final nail in by stomping on Flash’s skull and getting a two count of the resultant pin attempt. Flash. With the momentum firmly on his side, Future pulls Flash to his feet once more and shoots him off the ropes looking for a backdrop that Flash counters with a kick to the face. Future looks dazed and Flash quickly tries to follow up the move but Future snaps out of it and hits a twisting spinebuster that shakes the ring and earns him another long two count. Flash is clearly in a lot of pain as he grimaces every time he moves, probably the result of putting himself through the table earlier. Future knows he still has the advantage and again sets himself for the Frank-N-Hurter… Flash gets to his feet slowly and Future spirals into the move, only for Flash to duck it and try for the Flash Bang (Rock Bottom). But Future desperately struggles and hits a series of back elbows to Flash’s temple, forcing him to lose his grip long enough for Future to spiral once more and nail Flash hard in the temple with the Frank-N-Hurter. Future follows up quickly into a pin and the crowd seem stunned when Flash doesn’t manage to kick out of this one. You've gotta love Steve Flash, the man can't have a bad match and he made Frankie look like a million bucks in that main event tonight. Speaking of which... NYCW totally sucked ass. I mean, they had nothing on their show that was particularly good. A friend of mine reports that their match of the night was an average bout between Whistler and Lee Wright, a combined 96 years of age. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about NYCW then I probably shouldn't even mention that it was in their midcard and that the show itself was headlined by American Machine defeating Land Mass. HAH!! Although with that said... they still sold 1000 seats while I struggle to get near selling 300. But I think we're getting close to that now, I just need to tweak a few things and we'll be fine. One thing I've discovered that could prove to be a goldmine is our new BLW forums. Seems a few of our fans have set one up for us and I was quick to grant it "official" status as it seems like a good way to get some extra advertising done. A few of them made predictions for the show and they weren't bad, though they will never be able to match my booking skills. I can't help thinking that there might one day be some good ideas worth stealing from here, so I'm going to go with it. Just for my own records, here's a quick list of how well some of them done at predicting the results from Cross The Line. Though where these guys get their names from, I will never know. ;) Tigerkinney - 5/7 Astil - 3/7 Anyways, I've got some other things to worry about. Burning EXILE seemingly want to negotiate a new contract every couple of hours but it could be worse I suppose. Without him I don't know what Dynamite and Fuse would do. But more importantly than those contracts, I've got to start working on the finer points of the next show... I hate thinking up event names, I almost wish I could get away with the stupid names some of the Japanese companies use. Maybe I'll get my forumers to help out... they're bound to have some good names I could use. For the time being it doesn’t look like Swoop is going to lose his job over this, but APW management must be reconsidering any plans they had for him as leaving the belt on a man involved in such a scandal is sure to reflect badly on the entire promotion. Skye’s graceful aerial assault combined with Perez’s brutal strikes and submissions make them a duo almost impossible to prepare for, but will this unpredictablility be enough to propell them to a second set of tag belts to add to their Coastal Zone titles? With Split Personality across the ring from them, this match promises to be one of the most exciting tag team battles of all time and the champs have proven themselves more than willing to do whatever it takes to keep their opponents down for the count! Speed is an incredibly dangerous opponent, able to counter quickly with a submission move out of nowhere although some may argue he lacks the aggression needed to be able to take a fight to anyone. But Peverell is a fearless competitor, using a lot of boxing techniques among his wrestling skills to form a potent attack style that anyone has yet to find a counter for. Speed may be a very patient and careful fighter but it only takes one moment for Peverell’s Dream Left Hook to take a decisive win, so Speed will have to watch out for that if he is to take the title from the champion. Having beaten Kingman at BLW’s last show, Sayeed and Jett both demanded to face each other and this match has sprung from that. Both men have a lot of pride and a history of hostility in the Canadian 4C promotion that has spilled over into BLW. This match promises to be hard hitting and fast paced, and with Barry Kingman rumoured to still be furious with Sayeed Ali, along with the likely ringside presences of Katie Cameron and Carl Batch, this match could explode at any moment! Ota seems determined to not accept whatever it is they are offering and “Playboy“ Jake Sawyer made this match to try and help, whatever that means. Ota will need to have eyes in the back of his head for this one as it seems that where one of the Burning Bridges goes, the others follow. Will we find out what the Bridges want from Ota? And will he be able to avoid taking another beating if he continues to reject whatever offer is on the table? Their opponents? “Dazzling“ Dave Diamond and a tag team partner of his choice! Diamond isn’t known for having many friends in the wrestling industry and no-one is even sure if he will be able to find a tag team partner. With just two weeks to find someone it seems that Diamond will have to go a long way to make sure he does, because if he can’t find anyone then he will be facing Singh and Dermot on his own!! Ever since being told that he might be blackballed out of the wrestling industry, Mark Smart has been working his ass off and doing everything that Jake Sawyer has told him to do. This rematch of a previous beating Smart suffered will see him face off against Kaos in another hardcore match, but unlike last time, Smart has some warning of what is coming his way. But even with a warning this time Smart will be going up against it as he is dwarfed by a man almost a foot taller than him and weighing almost twice as much, who has a psychotic streak just to cap things off. Few people would be foolish enough to step into the ring with this man, but if Smart wants to stay in wrestling he has to prove he really wants it and he may yet again have to prove it with his own blood, sweat and tears… The All Star Team (Brandon Smith & Primus Allen) vs C-V-2 (Cameron Vessey & Casey Valentine) These two young teams have met once before back at Ultimate Warriors and the All Star Team picked up the win in impressive fashion. This rematch is booked to once again see who the better team is, with a win going a long way towards securing one team a shot at the BLW World Tag Team titles, whoever they may be after this event. C-V-2 may not have gelled quickly as a tag team but they have pedigree breeding and both men look destined for superstardom. But the All Star Team have exploded onto the tag wrestling scene thanks to their great natural teamwork and incredible athleticism. No matter what the result, all four of the young men in this match have bright futures ahead of them and both teams will be looking to bring those futures a little closer by picking up the win here. Also on the show will be an announcement from “Playboy“ Jake Sawyer, who has said that what he has to say will make a huge impact on BLW. And when Sawyer says something is huge, you know he’s telling the truth! To find out Saywer’s announcement first and to see all of these matches live, be sure to head to BorderLineWrestling.com or to the Riot Act Club, New York to get your tickets. The two get into the ring and Dermot commandeers a microphone as Dave Diamond steps out from the back… alone. Dermot: “Well, well, well. Tonight, I’ve got you both where I can see you and I’m going to embarass you both by beating you all on my own.” The crowd cheer for Diamond as he drops his mic and begins to run to the ring but his charge is unterupted by the opening lines from “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred. Diamond stops to see Zeus Maxmillion and Jenny Playmate strut down to the ring with purpose and then pose at the microphone Diamond dropped, with Jenny crouching down to pick it up. Singh and Dermot look even more confused, with Dermot trying to comfort Singh heading into this match by saying he wants to go first. Zeus makes it very clear that he doesn’t want to face Dermot, he wants Singh but he doesn’t get what he wants in this instance. The match flows around Zeus and Diamond wearing down Dermot slowly, with Zeus in particular trying to get Dermot and Singh to tag. Singh eventually gets the tag in when Dermot briefly gets on the offensive, catching Diamond with a few decent moves. Singh puts the boots to Diamond and taunts Zeus for a moment before getting a pretty quick tag out again leaving Dermot to use some basic punches and other offense to wear down Diamond. The crwod start to get behind the oddball pairing of Zeus and Diamond while Dermot and Singh wear down Diamond for a while longer, with Singh directing much of the traffic without really doing much of the heavy lifting. With Dermot on the apron Singh whips Diamond towards his partner and gets ready for a back body drop, only for Diamond to leapfrog over. Zeus makes a blind tag as Diamond ducks a clothesline attempt and then spears Dermot through the ropes, taking them both to the floor. Singh looks stunned and doesn’t even notice Zeus sneak in the ring behind him, spin him around, kick him in the gut and then drop him with a Thunder Bolt (Brainbuster)… well, he probably noticed that. Jenny Playmate counts the three count along with the referee and we have unlikely winners here. The two men exchange blows and end up back towards the ring where the match officially gets underway. Jett gets in much of the early offense, connecting with some beautiful dropkicks that have Sayeed off balance for a while. But a distraction from Batch yelling at Katie distracts Jett long enough for Sayeed to gain the upperhand, dropping Jett with a crushing back suplex and then mauling him with a series of rights and lefts on the mat. Sayeed gets Jett to his feet and then backs him into the corner where he is really dangerous and begins throwing some brutal forearm shots that catch Jett around the head and ribs. The intensity shown in this match is off the page as Sayeed whips Jett to the opposite corner and catches him with a violent back elbow, repeating the move a second time with a hard imapact. But a third attempt sees Jett counter, sliding his legs between the ropes and throwing himself back into a big kick that nails Sayeed. Jett falls back into the ring as Sayeed falls into the center of the ring and both men try to get a breather, but Sayeed’s is interupted when he suddenly finds himself being assaulted by… WINNER: “The East Side Assassin“ Sayeed Ali by DQ RATING D+ Kingman snaps! … Barry Kingman! Still furious from their last few encounters, Kingman fires off some very unrefined punches that has Sayeed covering himself up and trying to protect himself. Batch looks furious at ringside before Jett recovers and pulls Kingman off, resulting in Kingman charging Jett and a fresh brawl breaking out between the two of them. Batch quickly yells for Sayeed to get out of the ring while he can, while Katie yells at Kingman to stop attacking Jett. But Jett is throwing more than enough punches of his own as the two men roll around the ring exchanging blows. Eventually Jett rolls out of the ring near to Katie and Kingman is left standing alone in the ring while the pairings of Jett/Katie and Sayeed/Batch look on from ringside. Vessey and Valentine are talented youngsters but have been unable to really get that proper understanding together that great teams always have… but Primus and Brandon have gelled almost immediately and bring some brutal size, power and double team offense together to form a potent heavyweight tag team. This match saw C-V-2 try to wrestle the big men on the mat which proved to be fairly effective while cutting the ring in two… but when the two big men got together off their tags they were simply devastating, as witnessed when the eventually put away the second generation stars with the Doomsday Device on Cameron Vessey to pick up the victory for a second time. In short… these two guys are highly contrasting personalities vying for the same championship belt, with winners being decided by submission, knock out or by the judges. The first round kicks off as most people would expect between these two. Speed is cagey and looks to counter anything that Peverell does, while the champ lines up Speed on the end of his jab and tries to go for the big highlight reel knockout. Peverell makes the first bold move of this match as he swings and misses with a big left hand, allowing Speed to counter with lightning speed and take the champ down to the mat. Peverell looks a little lost on the mat in this one as Speed shows why he is praised as being one of the best technical wrestlers in America right now among some circles, dominating the champ on the mat for much of the round but unable to lock in any real submission attempts as Peverell counters just well enough for Speed to not lock anything in, but to at least remain in control. The first round comes to an end with Speed still in control and Peverell looks more than a little frustrated at having been able to do so little about it. The second round starts in much the same fashion as the first did, only this time Peverell manages to get some punches through Speed’s guard as Speed looks for takedowns only for Peverell to demonstrate some quick footwork to avoid them. Peverell keeps this fight standing for a while and eventually stuns Speed with a straight left that makes it through. Speed backs towards the cage where Peverell shows off his hand speed and lands a lot of blows to Speed’s body, knocking the wind out of him and forcing him to get into a defensive clinch. Speed manages to get the fight to the floor after some scrappy fighting and the fight stays there for a while, but Peverell knows he has that one in the bag following those punches. With everything still to play for in the third round, both men are looking a little tired but still sharp. Speed clearly wants to ground this fight and take it on his terms but a failed takedown sees Peverell get a couple of clean shots down onto the back of Speed’s head that see him forced to the mat. Peverell tries to follow up as he looks for a mount but isn’t able to get it, and is forced to rain down punches from behind Speed’s guard. Speed counters and quickly tries to get triangle choke that has Peverell squirming with a look of panic on his face as Speed nearly gets it locked in. Peverell manages to free himself from the dangers of the triangle only to almost end up in a cross arm breaker that has him desperately struggling to make sure the move doesn’t get locked in. The crowd are getting into it as Peverell frees himself and tries to get back to his feet. Speed hurries up too and suffers hard as a left uppercut connects squarely on his jaw, knocking him down to the mat again. Speed now looks desperate as Peverell tries for a mount but is unable to get it, with both men now losing much of their technique and trying to get an offensive position from which to mount an attack. Both are throwing unrefined punches at each other as the bell goes, with a few more being thrown even after that. This one is close and it’s now up to the judges to decide who wins it. Saywer makes his way from the back as McArthuer and Black make their way over to see him. After conferring for a moment they all nod and split, with Black heading back to his seat while McArthuer collects the King of the Cage title and Sawyer grabs a microphone with which to announce the winner. Sawyer: “Ladies and gentlemen, some quiet if you please. Tonight is a very special night and it has quite literally come down to one man to decide this fight. The winner of this bout via a split decision…. and STILL the King Of The Cage… “Hands Of Stone” Bradford Peverell!!” Referee McArthuer hands the belt over to Peverell and raises his hand in victory, leaving Speed to shake his head in disbelief. Peverell and Speed lock eyes for a moment before Speed leave the cage, allowing Peverell to briefly celebrate his victory. Sawyer: “Congratulations on retaining the belt, you earned that one the hard way and by the very narrowest of margins. But if you will excuse me champ, I have an even bigger announcement to make now. Go on… get out of my cage.” Peverell doesn’t look at all pleased at being told to get out of the cage, especially not as a reigning champion in the promotion. Sawyer looks around at him and then at the sold out crowd in attendance, seeing the seats around him filled. Sawyer: “Ladies and gentlemen, it fills me with joy to see so many of you here in the Riot Act Club, the home of Border-Line Wrestling. And as a reward to each and every one of you who have helped us sell out the floor here, I have an announcement. Afterall, you should get rewarded for making the correct choices, should you not?” Sawyer’s grandstanding is met with a generally mixed response, with some people not pleased that he is talking more than is really necessary after his treatment of Peverell while others know that most of his announcements generally mean something good. Sawyer: “Ladies and gentlemen, in honour of you selling all of our ticket allotment for tonight, I am proud to announce the debut of a new Border-Line Wrestling concept match, one that I hope will not only excite you this year, but in every year after this one too. In one month’s time, in this very ring… BLW will present a show called Starmageddon. And on that show, will be the first ever Starmaggedon match, the winner of which will receive a BLW World Championship match against whomever the champion is by then. The concept of the match is very simple… ten men will be involved, with four men being in the ring at any one time. The only ways to be eliminated are by pinfall or submission. When one competitor is eliminated, another takes his place until only one man has not been defeated… and that man is the winner of the match. Do you like the sound of that?” Hard to tell what the 300 strong crowd say but it seems to be fairly positive. Sawyer: “Of course, I now have to decide who the 10 men who will be entering that match will be. I’m sure I can find more than enough people to fill those spots, so I believe that our next show will feature several qualifying match ups in order to weed out those who are not deserving of a spot. But before that, I’m going to show how gracious I am by offering the winner of the next match a spot in the Starmaggedon match. So… Mark Smart, come on down, your time is now.” WINNER: “Hands Of Stone“ Bradford Peverell (defense #1 of the King Of The Cage title) RATING D- “The Insider“ Mark Smart vs Kaos In a hardcore match Mark Smart shows the first signs of living up to his name as he makes his way to the ring for this match armoured in a lot of padding and carrying a kendo stick. Kaos is out behind him, lurching to the ring with his head tilted to one side as if eying Smart up for a meal. Kaos tries to get into the ring but Smart stops him, slamming the kendo stick into Kaos’ body and sending him back from the apron. Smart twirls the stick around and keeps attack Kaos with it whenever he gets near the ring. Kaos doesn’t show any signs of frustration though, more a sort of weird approval that his plaything is fighting back for once. Eventually Kaos slides into the ring and Smart quickly goes to town with the kendo stick, hitting Kaos hard across the back with it until Kaos simply stands up and snatches it from Smart’s hands. Smart tries to back away from Kaos as he looks at the kendo stick with sick delight on his face, before smashing it over Smart’s head. Smart falls back into the corner where Kaos looks at him for a few more moments… then sits him up into the rope, tying Smart’s arms over the top ropes and lacing his legs over the middle ropes, making him support himself in the corner. Kaos then grabs the kendo stick again and then hits a series of sickening shots to Smart’s head until he is busted open and the cane is falling apart in his hand. Kaos pulls Smart out of the ropes and the three count is academic and welcomed. Kaos and Messiah staredown without saying a thing, without backing down… and after a long staredown, it is Kaos who leaves the ring first, with Messiah not letting his face deceive anything as he maintains his focus on Kaos… before leaving the ring with one last look at Mark Smart. The match starts off at a quick pace as Ota tries to stamp his authority on the match the two men exchange holds and chain wrestle their way to a stalemate. Narahashi starts trading leg kicks with Ota but comes out on the wrong side of that as Ota begins to build momentum in this match, hitting a big spinning heel kick that sends Dynamite to the floor. Ota then fakes a plancha dive to the floor but Dynamite is far out of the way long before Ota ever gets near leaping. Dynamite slows down the pace of the match significantly as he takes his time heading back into the ring, circling the ring to get a better position… but not for himself. Behind Ota’s back come Burning EXILE and Fuse Hidekazu. EXILE sneaks into the ring behind Ota and looks ready to pounce when Ota suddenly spins around and pulls down his mask to allow him to spit a green mist in EXILE’s face, blinding him! The champs dominate much of the early going thanks to their pre-programmed teamwork routines, wearing down Skye while Perez looks on in anticipation of dealing out some serious punishment when the time is right. An early relatively hot tag sees Perez do just that, leaping over the top rope into a dropkick on Deano and then opening up on Insane Machine with some brutal kicks that must leave some serious bruising assuming he isn’t made of circuitry. Perez and Skye take control of the match for a while, wearing down Insane with some basic teamwork that concentrates mostly on his arm, probably wearing him down for Perez to stretch on later. Perez tries for a few submission attempts on this string of offense but Deano is quickly in to make the save each time, knowing that each submission from Perez hurts more than anything has any right to do. Eventually the momentum is once again back on the side of the champions as they manage to isolate Perez and begin wearing him down using some smooth double teams, including a string of rapid tags and a barrage of kicks and stomps in the corner from each tag that simply pummels Perez mercilessly into the mat. Perez becomes the victim of some brutal suplexes from Split Personality as they exert their control firmly onto this match, leaving Skye on the apron to try and rally the crowd behind Perez and get him back into the match. After being beaten down for several minutes Perez eventually makes his big comeback on Insane Machine, throwing some stiff chops that scrambles Machine’s circuits. Perez makes a dive for the tag but Machine catches him and drags him back to the center of the ring. As if synched up together, Machino leaps over the top rope to drag Perez into the corner and begin wailing away on him while Insane throws a high kick aimed at Remmy’s head, missing narrowly. The referee moves to stop Skye getting in the ring while Perez turns the offense around on Machino, batternig him with chops in the corner and lighting up the chest of Machino. Insane Machine sees an opportunity to strike with a Termination Kick (superkick to back of the head) but as he fires it off Machino shoves Perez back to stop his offensive barrage, with the result that Insane Machine superkicks him hard in the jaw and sending him slumping into his own corner. Machine can’t believe what just happened but Perez takes advantage and makes a quick tag to Remmy Skye who climbs the ropes and comes in with a cannonball dive that immediately gives him a lot of momentum. Remmy backs Machine into a corner with some forearms and then whips him across the ring, following up with a running cannonball that flips himself over to the apron where he quickly springboards back into the ring and bulldogs Machine to the mat. Insane Machine is in serious trouble as Remmy Skye ascends to the top rope looking for the Skye Dive and connects!! Frankie Perez hits a lot dropkick on Deano Machino as Skye makes the cover and manages to get the three count!! Armed with a microphone and once again without any back up, he makes his way to the ring ready to compete for the BLW World Championship. Future: “Tonight is the night! Finally, after years of being held down, after years of watching and waiting for a break that would never come to me… finally, tonight I make my own break. Tonight, after suffering through more than a decade of being ignored and avoided, I’m going to get back on the path to greatness that I was so brutally kicked from years ago. Tonight, I become the BLW World Champion.” It’s a tribite to Future’s charisma that he gets so much mic time and such a loud reaction from the crowd. 300 fans in the Riot Act Club boo him and his ambition, but that doesn’t stop him from talking. Future: “For Rick Sanders and The Punisher, my long time friends… tonight, I push us all to the next level. For Citizen X, a man who won’t be held back any more, I do this for you. For guys like I, Butcher… Aurthur Salvador Simpson R.I.P… Colossus… Lance Henderson… Jake Harvey… and all the rest of the guys forgotten about after the East Coast Wars, tonight I do this for you. ” Name dropping usually only works when the people have heard of the people whose names you are dropping but the crowd still responds a bit for some of the names, as the fans here aren’t quite the young generation of fans who follow the SWF. These are smarks. Future: “And to Johnny Martin… Shawn Gonzalez… Phil Vibert… Nemesis… I say, F*** you!! F*** you and everything you’ve ever done. DAVE was never going to be big enough for you guys and guys like myself and Sanders. So while you have all revelled in success DAVE was, I’m going to revel in it’s demise while I rule over the promotion destined to take over DAVE’s mantel. Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling? New York City Wrestling? FREEDOM Carribean Wrestling? Don’t make me laugh” “Border-Line Wrestling is the Future with THE Future. Tonight, I take my place as the rightful figurehead of BLW, the true king of the East Coast. And when I’ve taken this company to heights it can only now dream of, I’ll remember all the guys who kept me down… and I will spit in the face of each of you when you come begging to me for a job.” RATING D+ “Shooter“ Sean Deeley © vs “Mr XFW“ Frankie Future For the BLW World Championship The atmosphere in the Riot Act Club turned up a notch when the BLW World Champion made his way to the ring, gold strapped around his waist as he looks out from the hood of his red, white and blue singlet. Deeley looks determined tonight as he always does but his opponent seems to have a fanaticism about him that is usually only seen in the most dangerous of men. Right from the off it’s clear that Future has one gameplan… fight Deeley, don’t wrestle him. The match quickly ends up on the floor as Future charges at Deeley and his size and weight are enough to force them through the ropes and to the area where Future is at his most dangerous. Future uses everything at ringside to get an advantage. The ring apron.. the ringpost… even one of the fans for a moment as he gets a human shield and then clobbers Deeley among the confusion. After beating Deeley all around the ring thanks to some very lenient refereeing, the match ends up in the ring with Future still in control. A few kicks get Deeley into position for Future to really do some damage with some precision stomps to each of Deeley’s limbs, ending up with a hard stomp to the head. Future goes for the cover but only gets a two count. Unrelentless, Future goes back and once again stomps each of Deeley’s limbs in turn until Deeley is yelling in pain. Future taunts the crowd for a few second, letting them know that he is in total control of this match. But his taunt gives Deeley too much of a breather and he comes back with a big European uppercut that rocks the challenger back. Deeley fights back with another uppercut and then begins to light up the chest of Future. Future fights back with some right hands though and but is met with some more from Deeley. The match turns into a slugfest with both men trading big blows that stagger them back before they come back with another big shot. The end comes when Deeley ducks under a big right and nails Future with a huge German suplex. So begins a long sequence of offense for Deeley, wearing down Future on the mat with a series of headlocks and body scissors, knowing that if necessary he can outlast Future if the match goes long enough. Deeley knows he can’t win with wear down moves and so when Future finally fights his way up to his feet Deeley counters a brief flurry of offense with a belly to belly that takes Future almost out of his boots. Future tries to recover quickly but is met with another overhead suplex. Future does his best to no-sell the offense and hurries to his feet once more, but his clothesline is ducked and then hit with a bridging German suplex that earns Deeley a 2 count. Future rolls out of it but Deeley gets him back to his feet and nails a second bridging German that gets a very looong 2 count. Deeley tries for a third suplex but Future deadweights him and then hits some big back elbows. The elbows connects hard and staggers Deeley back and Future explodes, spiralling into the Frank-N-Hurter nailing him in the temple and knocking the champ down. The crowd pop for Future as he goes for the cover only for Deeley to get his shoulder up at the last second. Future can’t believe that Deeley kicked out and holds his head in his hands, trying to get some breath while he can too. Deeley instinctively rolls onto this front as Future gets to his feet and then decides to head to the top rope, unfamiliar territory for him. Future is slow to get up but he signals that he’s going for a big elbow, only for Deeley to pop up suddenly and leaps to the top looking for a suplex. But Future manages to fight him off and sends Deeley crashing to the mat. Future gets himself set once again as Deeley gets to his feet, with Future leaping off and looking to drive his elbow down onto Deeley’s skull. Deeley counters, putting his hands up between Future’s arms and breaking the elbow crush and quickly locking in the Seated Choke Lock, tripping Future down to the mat far enough away from the ropes that Future can’t reach them. Future is quickly in trouble, stuck in a seated position and unable to move in any direction. Deeley pulls back hard and locks the move in as far as possible while Future flails, trying to break the hold with power while he has the strength or even to just roll his way to safety. It’s clear that Future has nowhere to go but even after twenty seconds he hasn’t tapped, though he has faded to the point of barely moving. The crowd are chanting for Future to tap but he won’t do it so Referee McArthuer checks the arm and it falls three times, so McArthuer calls for the bell. WINNER: “Shooter” Sean Deeley (defense #5 of the BLW World Championship) RATING C Deeley relinquishes the hold as soon as he hears the bell and rolls away, leaving Future to slump to the mat. In a bit of a surprise move, Kristen Pearce leaps from the announce table to and grabs the BLW World Championship from the referee before he can hand it over. Deeley looks a little confused as Kristen moves in and straps the belt around his waist, making sure to lock eyes with Deeley and congratutlate him on his victory as the show ends. On top of that, I think we're starting to really get rolling with our storylines too and the crowd seemed to mark hard for seeing Leper Messiah and Kaos staring each other down over the broken, bloodied body of Mark Smart. I can't help thinking that I can make a lot of money out of those two if I can book them right, BLW's resident monsters. The only thing I've been saddened by is a lack of activity on our forums. Seems everyone is busy playing mafia games rather than talking about BLW. From: ProWrestlingHits.com/News By: Theodore Logan
Super Juniors ARE The Show It’s been a long held opinion by myself, and many others, that the Junior scene in Japan has been thriving for so long and has produced so many talented wrestlers, that one day we will see a Junior wrestler as the Burning World Champion. Obviously the closest we have ever got so far is the exciting mixed style of the legendary showman Haruki Kudo, but it seems increasingly likely, in my opinion, that a Junior wrestler will one day be the champion. BHOTWG held their annual showcase of exciting Junior wrestling Inferno Of Purity and surprised absolutely no-one when it once again turned out to be an event of legendary proportions. Well… I say legendary, but the tournament itself was actually lacking in several big names, most notably Burning Monkey, Elemental III and Optimus. The tournament itself was wonfor the second year in a row by the reigning Burning Junior champion, Black Cobra, better known to wrestling fans as Duane Stone of the legendary Stone family. I say legendary a lot, don’t I? Now, I know that saying this may stir up a little controversy but looking at the signs, I can’t help it… Burning Monkey is positioned as a threat to anyone in the main event scene and is almost undoubtedly one of the finest wrestlers on the planet. Black Cobra/Duane Stone may actually be the finest wrestler on the planet and upon winning the Best Of Super Junior tournament for the second year in a row was congratulated by both Optimus, who didn’t compete, and Elemental… both of these men are still with BHOTWG and have shown tremendous loyalty to the company and it is rumoured that they have been strongly lobbying for the company to consider allowing Juniors to get a run witih the top belt. And with both of them clearly supporting Stone’s tournament victory, they seem to be pushing him beyond the division and into contention for a shot at Kudo’s World title… Add into that the effects that Kikkawa’s INSPIRE rebellion is still having on the company’s heavyweight division and you can’t help but think that one day soon we may just see the unthinkable happen. Seriously, if ever there was a time for it to happen it would be now. I just hope BHOTWG don’t overlook this as it may provide the catalyst they need to remain one step ahead of PGHW, a company who almost seem destined to soon be hailed as Japan’s number one promotion.
From: ProWrestlingHits.com/IndyNews By: Robert Greene
Seriously, check out BLW. They’re the new DAVE… only they have financial backing just now and no fans. But one day, they hope to turn that the other way around… or something. Here’s what they’ve released to fans about their next couple of shows.
From the Riot Act Club, New York “Playboy“ Jake Sawyer may not be known as the most hands on owner in wrestling history, but he knows how to throw his weight around when needed. Recent events in BLW have led to him rewarding the fans with a special Starmaggeddon match, a 10 man gauntlet style match that sees 4 competitors in the ring at all times, with a new competitor entering each time someone is eliminated. Elimination occur via pinfall or submission, with the last competitor left in the match being declared the winner. Only one mas has qualified for this match thus far, with Kaos decimating Mark Smart in a hardcore match to earn his spot. At Hazard Warning, as many as 9 more men will earn their places in the Starmaggeddon match. Not all the matches have been announced ahead of time, with Sawyer talking to numerous stars about a potential place in the match, but here is the card that “Playboy“ Jake Sawyer has sanctioned thus far! “The Amazing“ Jacob Jett vs “The East Side Assassin“ Sayeed Ali vs “No Gimmick Needed“ Barry Kingman It’s no secret, no matter where these three men go they just hate each other. Sayeed Ali has recently developed an even sharper mean streak and attacked both of these men during their match against each other, laying them out, and prompting premiere wrestling manager Carl Batch to take him on as a client, saying that he is even better than his former client, Eddie Peak. Meanwhile Jett and his girlfriend Katie Cameron have been building some momentum in BLW but have yet to turn that into any real success as yet, thanks in part to Sayeed Ali. And Barry Kingman… he stands alone. No girlfriend, no manager, no friends in BLW. His constant attempts to reach out to fellow second generation wrestlers Casey Valentine and Cameron Vessey have thus far failed and he has had a torrid time in BLW without any allies. All three of these men hate each other and have battled for gold up in Canada on numerous occassions. The winner of this match not only takes away bragging rights, but will also be entered into the Starmaggeddon match! The BLW World Tag Team champions each get their chance at singles glory if they can defeat their respective opponents, but Ota is a wily veteran who has proved himself to be tremendously capable with the pressure on. And Jesse Christian… is a wildcard! His first match back from a hiatus from wrestling will take place in a BLW ring. The former 2 time SCCW Champion will get the chance to make an impactful comeback by facing off against one of the most unique talents in all of pro wrestling. And of course, The Sensational Singh will be in action against the mysterious Plague in what promises to be a tremendously exciting match, assuming that Referee McArthuer can keep Dermot O’Logical away from it. Who will progress to get their names into the Starmaggeddon match and potentially walk away with a huge victory! The duo have rejected numerous advances from Barry Kingman to take them under his wing but have also yet to win a match in a BLW ring as a team. On the other hand are the Good Ol’ Boys, a pair of wild brawlers who only have one speed and won’t wrassle any other way. Will the wrestling pedigree of C-V-2 be enough to slow down the southerners to get the youngsters the win? Or will they simply be overwhelmed by the wild, whirlwind style of their far larger opponents? Quick Picks For BLW: Hazard Warning “The Amazing“ Jacob Jett vs “The East Side Assassin“ Sayeed Ali vs “No Gimmick Needed“ Barry Kingman Not a serious expectation, but my heart swells with hope. “Super Ninja“ Fumihiro Ota vs “P-Dawg“ Frankie Perez You want to put over one of the tag team champs, and of the two of them, Frankie is generally the best. However, Fumi is better even than Frankie, so I call this in his favour. “The Power“ Jesse Christian vs “The King Of The Ladder Match“ Remmy Skye By contrast, Jesse will be rusty after many years out of competition, and Remmy, while less broad in his focus and with less grasp of the basics, can take a bigger win here. Plague vs The Sensational Singh Come on, it's Plague! C-V-2 (Cameron Vessey & Casey Valentine) vs The Good Ol’ Boys (Thimbleby Langton & Wooton Fitzpaine) The kids can take back a win here. PLUS: “Shooter“ Sean Deeley, “Vintage“ Steve Flash, “The V-Man“ Vin Tanner, “Mr XFW“ Frankie Future, “Ace Express“ Rick Sanders, Citizen X, Lead Belly, Grease Hogg, Kaos, Leper Messiah, “Playboy“ Jake Sawyer will all be at the show. “The Amazing“ Jacob Jett vs “The East Side Assassin“ Sayeed Ali vs “No Gimmick Needed“ Barry Kingman With the way the angle is panning out for Kingman I can't see him getting the win, so that leaves Jett and Sayeed and my feeling is that Jett will take the win. “Super Ninja“ Fumihiro Ota vs “P-Dawg“ Frankie Perez I'll disagree with Regis that Ota is even better than Perez, five years ago definately, but Ota's not as good as he once was and Perez is a talent on the rise but right now Ota is getting the more focused push as a singles performer. “The Power“ Jesse Christian vs “The King Of The Ladder Match“ Remmy Skye Got to keep one of the tag champs strong and Christian's no longer the 'star' he was back in his SCCW days. Plague vs The Sensational Singh I'll admit you've done a much better job of pushing Singh, than I have in my diary, without really pushing him all that much. He's a solid mid-card act but he's not anywhere near Plague's league. C-V-2 (Cameron Vessey & Casey Valentine) vs The Good Ol’ Boys (Thimbleby Langton & Wooton Fitzpaine) The Good Ol' Boys have very little potential (especially in a promotion that appears to put make the ability to actually be able to wrestle a priority) and should be the designated Good Ol' Job Boys of your tag division.

Just posting to say I'll have the next show posted tomorrow. Was hoping to finish it today but I've somehow managed to be really busy today in unlikely circumstances. I need sleep now but I've only got three segments left to write and then I'll be ready to post it. Thanks for the predictions so far guys, you know you'll be thanked by Christian Black if he can ever pull his head out his arse... ... which reminds me. Was fun to see a different Christian Black in someone else's diary. Tis a good name, would be my wrestling name in the unlikely event I ever got into the wrestling industry. A nice combo of my middle name and part of my surname and for once, I don't dislike my name. :)

Tonight’s show is BLW: Hazard Warning and tonight we will find out most, if not all, of the line up for the first annual Starmageddon match. Ten men will enter, four men will be in the ring at any one time with new men entering when anyone is eliminated by pinfall or submission. Tonight’s show will shape that match and the rest of that card, so without further ado lets go over to out first match of th…” Deeley Issues A Challenge Black’s introduction is cut off when “Shooter” Sean Deeley makes his way out from the back, BLW World Championship strapped around his waist. And for once, Deeley has a microphone with him. Deeley: “You know, I’m not the most talkative guy around. I train hard, I travel a lot and I win matches. I’m not on a crusade, I don’t need to tell people how good I am, I just go out each and every night and prove how good I am. I’m the BLW World Champion and tonight, seeing as I’m not going to be in the Starmageddon match, I’m issuing a challenge for a title match to the one guy I beat to win this title but that I’ve yet to face in one on one competition. I know you’re in the back, so V-Man, come on out here and lets make sure everyone knows that you want this.” It doesn’t take long for Vin Tanner to step out from the back, ready with a microphone of his own. Tanner: “Son, it takes a lot of guts to send out a challenge when you are the champion. You want to prove yourself, son? Then you’re on. At Starmageddon, I’ll take the belt from around your waist. You’re good, and you’ve got a long career ahead of you. But you don’t have my experience, son, and I’ve got more tricks up my sleeve than you’ll ever know how to deal with.” Deeley looks confident as he nods his head, with the crowd firmly behind this exchange of words the two men are interupted by the familiar opera music of BLW’s owner and match maker, “Playboy” Jake Sawyer. Sawyer: “Gentlemen, in the spirit of competition I am delighted to see you making big matches for future shows. But I have to say, in this instance I am put into a difficult position as I had plans for you and many others on the roster. However, after meeting with several members of my roster and spending many hours deliberating over it, I have decided to give a number of people a berth in the Starmageddon match. With that said, Steve Flash will be in the match…” The crowd respond well to that statement, Flash is one of the most popular men on the indy scene and has been for longer than should ever have been allowed. Sawyer: “Also in the match will be Frankie Future…. Rick Sanders… and Citizen X. I know this decision is not a popular one, but they have shown themselves to be worthy competitors in a BLW ring, and of course, Citizen X is the winner of the highly prestigious Rip Chord Invitational. And of course, Kaos qualified already last month when be brutally beat down Mark Smart.” The less popular members of the roster are greeted with mostly boos, although as with any indy promotion and indy crowd, there are always a few people who will cheer the heels. Sawyer: “The remaining spots will be filled tonight in matches of my own choosing. Jesse Christian makes his return to wrestling against Remmy Skye for one spot. Frankie Perez and Fumihiro Ota will contest another spot. The winner of the feud match between Barry Kingman, Jacob Jett and Sayeed Ali will also gain a berth in the match. That takes us up to eight spots filled. The final spots will go to the winners of a hardcore tag team match… Lead Belly and Grease Hogg both want in, so they will face off against Kaos and Leper Messiah. If Lead Belly and Grease Hogg win, they fill the last two spots. If Leper Messiah and Kaos win, Messiah gets in. The last spot in the match will then be left open, to be filled as I see fit.” Deeley and Tanner both watch on, interested because they know that the match will affect them depending on what happens in their own match. The crowd… seem to be losing a little interest. Sawyer: “The winner of the Starmageddon match will receive a BLW World Championship title match against one of you two gentlemen. But tonight, you will be competing together… as a team. Alongside Steve Flash, in fact, as a warm up for the entire Starmageddon show. Tonight’s main event will see you three gentlemen in a six man tag team match against Frankie Future, Rick Sanders and Citizen X. And now, ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to retire to my lounge. May you all have a very good evening indeed.” RATING: D+ Plague vs The Sensational Singh w/ Dermot O’Logical Before this match even begins Dermot and Singh are up to their usual tricks, with Dermot having added a kit bag packed with skin care products to his repetoire. As the match begins he uses some wipes to clear the sweat from Singh’s brow before the real match gets underway, with Plague not allowing his face to show any emotion or betray any impatience at the antics going on in the ring. The match moves at speed, with both men showing off some fast paced offense, broken up by spells of Singh getting skincare during the match from Dermot. The momentum swings back and forth between the two men until it looks like Singh has the advantage and goes for the Cal-Cutter (springboard leap to diamond cutter) only to be blocked by Plague grabbing onto the top rope, letting Singh drop hard to the mat. Dermot can’t do anything to help as Plague quickly slingshots himself to the apron and then back into the ring with the New Jersey Turnpike (Slingshot Corkscrew Legdrop) to pick up the three count and a spot in the Starmageddon match. She runs down to ringside and quickly takes a seat at the announce table next to Christian Black. She seems a little out of breath, but that probably adds to her performance as she grabs a headset and the show continues on. Black: “I was beginning to wonder if you’d ever show up. The big rednecks hit hard and hit often, forcing the young second generation guys to try to wrestle their way into the match and use basic tag team wrestling 101 tactics to cut off the ring. The match isn’t anything to write home about so there isn’t going to be much here, but the finish saw the youngster finally be overwhelmed by the big guys, with Casey first being hit with a Decaptitation Lariat from Wooton Fitzpaine only for the pin to be broken up by Vessey. But Vessey was taken out of the equation by Fitzpaine, allowing Langton to get a tag and finish the match by hitting Casey with the Shock To The System (Dominator) to pick up the three count. Vessey: “Barry, we anticipated you’d come out after our match, regardless of the result. We’ve put a lot of thought into your offer, seriously considered it and I have to say… one of us cares a lot more than the other.” Kingman: “So you’ll accept my offer? You’ll work with me?” Vessey: “No… at least, not yet. We might be losing a lot of matches, but we’re young. We’ve got years and years and years to get to the point in our careers that YOU should be at already. Quite frankly, we… I don’t think we’ve got anything we can gain from spending time with you. But Casey doesn’t agree, he thinks we should give you a shot. So tonight, you can earn your answer. If you win your match, we’ll give it a try. If you lose… well, we expect you to stop getting on our case.” Kingman: “Fine. I can live with that, this is shaping up to be a great night for me. Not only do I beat the punks that keep disrespecting me, I get one step closer to the BLW World Championshp and I finally get the allies that I know will understand me. You’re on. Jesse controls most of the offense with some relatively basic attacks, using his size and strength advantage to stop Remmy getting into the match. Remmy battles back with some off beat attacks when he can, not letting Jesse get his balance while he moves and uses his speed to attack from every angle. Remmy’s offense eventually becomes more than Jesse can handle, with the former football player taking a beating and ending up taking a cobra neckbreaker. Remmy ascends the ropes for the Skye Dive (Swanton) but Power shows a flash of his reknowned toughness and rolls out the way as Remmy comes crashing down. Jesse quickly gets to his feet and falls back to the corner. As Remmy slowly gets to his feet, Jesse hoists himself up to the top rope and then flies off with massive flying shoulder tackle. Remmy flips through the air and crashes to the mat once more, with Jesse crawling on top to make the cover and get the three count. After the initial start though, the offense becomes very evenly matched as both men see the momentum going their way for a while, with some sensational offense giving them the impetus to build up. The highlight of the big moves is easily Perez’s counter kick, catching Ota in mid plancha with a kick to the head that almost gets a three count almost a minute later once Perez gets Ota into the ring. Perez tries to lock in the P-Clutch from the corner, but Ota manages to hold on, frustrating Perez while the two men hang upside down and struggle to get the upperhand. Perez has to let go and the two men begin to put together one a breath taking sequence of move and counter move. They each begin to throw kicks, each evading them with carefully choreographed moves. The exchange ends up in the ropes, with Ota on the apron trying to get a shoulderblock through the ropes, Perez evading it, trying for an axe kick, Ota acrobatically evading it to trip Perez and then springboard into the ring quickly to nail Perez with a flying Ninja Strike to the back of the head. The crowd are on their feet and begging for more as Referee McArthuer counts the three in a very evenly matched contest. The rough and ready bikers look ready for business and grab a couple of beers from some fans at ringside, gulping them down fast and throwing the empty cans at the monsters in the ring. They grab another couple of beers after that and do the same thing, and then repeat a third time, at which point the fight spills out of the ring and truly begins… RATING: E+ The Dirty White Boys (Lead Belly & Grease Hogg) vs Leper Messiah & Kaos In a hardcore match Violence! Violence!! VIOLENCE!!! This match is violent, no doubt about it. Four men, all known for their violent tendencies, sadistic instincts and ability to dish out pain in a hardcore way. The crowd weren’t safe as this match spills all around the floor of the club, with anything and everything that isn’t nailed down being used as weapons by all four men. Referee McArthuer has no way of controlling the action so he is forced to let it all go, hoping that eventually someone would beat someone else down long enough for him to get involved. Kaos in particular shows some violent tendencies, psychotically uprooting chairs to throw at Grease Hogg’s head one after the other until the former King Of The Cage is down while Leper Messiah tries to overwhelm Lead Belly in a power battle, and for once finds himself evenly matched. The action eventually spills back to the ringside area, but it still isn’t safe as the four men make their way towards the announce table, forcing Christian Black and Kristen Pearce to retreat to a safer distance while they each take turns to try putting someone through only to be blocked by the opposition. The brawl reaches fever pitch as a miscommunication between Leper Messiah and Kaos results in a stiff chairshot cracking Messiah in the head and drawing blood. Kaos looks down at his partner with a puzzled look, almost as if he is wondering why Messiah is on the floor before turning towards his opponents in time to be caught with the flapjack/cutter combo (3D!!) through the announce table, sending wreckage everywhere as Kaos is driven through by Lead Belly and Grease Hogg. Finally, the referee gets to count a three count and this match is over. Leper Messiah slowly gets to his feet, blood dripping across his face from the cut he suffered as a result of the errant chair shot. Kaos is slowly getting to his feet after being driven through the table and both men eventually lock eyes… the intensity between them is clear, but neither man seems to be worried about the sight of their own blood or the pain wracking their bodies. After a long, tense staredown it is Leper Messiah that breaks the stare, touching the blood on his head and licking it off as he makes his way backstage… RATING: C “The Amazing“ Jacob Jett w/Katie Cameron vs “The East Side Assassin“ Sayeed Ali w/Carl Batch vs “No Gimmick Needed“ Barry Kingman Jett and Kaite make their way out first, getting a good reaction from the crowd on hand as they wait in the ring for the arrival of Sayeed Ali. But after he takes more than 30 seconds to appear the crowd seem restless before they suddenly see Barry Kingman fly through the entrance doors with Sayeed and Carl Batch close behind. Batch isn’t hesitating to get a few shots in as Sayeed and Kingman brawl down the aisle towards the ring, and more importantly, towards Jett. Jett gives Katie a quick kiss before he builds some momentum by coming off the ropes before flying over the top and taking out both Kingman and Sayeed with a huge plancha dive that has Katie looking concerned for a moment or two, before Jett rolls back into the ring and gives her another kiss. Batch looks furious, but Jett gets in his face as he drags Sayeed to his feet and rolls him into the ring, officially getting the match underway and almost ending it immediately with a quick pin attempt. The tide turns as Jett looks ready to set Sayeed up for a Stinger splash, only for Kingman to grab Jett’s leg and distract him long enough for Sayeed to charge in with a big back elbow that sends Jett ricocheting into the corner. Kingman, with so much at stake tonight, decides to play it safe and lurks around ringside, taking a lot of verbal abuse from both Carl Batch and Katie Cameron, not to mention a fair bit from Kristen Pearce sitting at the remains of the announce table. Kingman watches Sayeed throw his hard hitting offense at Jett, quickly dismantling him with some more brutal running back elbows before Jett slumps down in the corner and suffers a massive facewash kick as a result. Kingman finally seizes the opportunity right there as he grabs Sayeed’s foot as it strays outside the ring, yanking it so that Sayeed falls and then wrapping his knee around the steel ringpost, even with Jett slumped in the corner. Sayeed is quickly in pain as Kingman lays into Sayeed with a series of shots into the punishing steel before hooking up the dreaded figure four around the ringpost. Sayeed yells in pain but Kingman is filled with fire and only finally releases the hold when Batch gets a little too close for comfort. For the first time all three men are in the ring and it’s Kingman in control, working over Sayeed’s knee and yelling some general abuse at him for all the things that have happened over recent months and yearsin BLW or 4C. Jett takes some time to recover before he begins to trade submission holds on Sayeed, with the sequence of moves being broken up when both Kingman and Jett lock in a Kingman Krippler on each side of Sayeed. Kingman and Jett both release the hold and begin going blow for blow, trading stiff shots while Sayeed tries to work out which body part hurts the least right now. Jett gains the advantage and tries for the Emergency Landing, only to have Kingman block the knee strike and then dump Jett over the top rope to the floor. But Sayeed finally recovers enough to make sure he doesn’t end up on the wrong end of another submission move, hitting a rising uppercut that seems to lay out Kingman. The match keeps flowing along with one man getting on offense, one on defense and the other tempoaraily out of it for a while. Each man at one point tries to hit a finishing move only for it to be blocked by the third man, much to the frustration of the others. Eventually Jett sends Sayeed to the floor where he hits hard and clutches at the knee that has been in trouble for much of this match now… but Jett turns into the Black Out (Downward Spiral) and quickly floats over with it into the Kingman Krippler. Jett doesn’t even have time to get his senses together before he finds himself being stretched hard into the move while Kingman has a crazed look in his eyes. Jett refuses to tap out though despite the referee checking on him. Katie tries to help him reach the ropes but she is distracted by Sayeed limping around and telling her to “f*** off” in no uncertain terms. After little more than a nod, Batch gets up to the apron and tries to run the distraction himself, allowing Kingman to wrench the hold in further while Sayeed grabs a chair from a fan and gets into the ring, clocking Kingman hard with the chair with the ref’s back turned. Katie and Batch argue on the ring apron as Sayeed drops the chair and then drops Jett on it with a GBH Driver (Implant DDT) before signalling to Batch that his job his done. Kingman clutches at the back of his head as Batch drops to the floor and then carries Katie over his shoulder to allow the referee to turn and see Sayeed covering Jett, counting the one two three and booking his place in the Starmageddon match. To say that Barry Kingman looks disappointed when he realises what just happened would be comparable to saying the world economy is on a little bit of a downturn just now. With half of the competitors in the ring already, their opponents make their way to the ring individually, never a good sign for future team work opportunities, especially when two team mates are going to be facing each other in the near future with major championship gold on the line. The match starts slowly with both teams trying to decide who is going to start this one. Deeley looks fired up and ready to start but when Citizen X looks set to get in, Vin Tanner demands the tag. Strangely enough, when Tanner hits the ring X is quick to tag out to Rick Sanders and it’s these two who finally get things underway. Sanders quickly gets the advantage with some smooth technical wrestling but the exchange ends with Tanner utilising his much feared eye poke to get the upperhand. Tanner unloads with a few punches before Sanders heads for cover and tags in Frankie Future, prompting Steve Flash to ask for a tag too. The two men clearly have a storied history and it doesn’t take long for Future to throw the first haymaker as the two start simply firing off punches a each other with fire and intensity. It isn’t pretty and the brawl quickly spills out to the floor where the two men continue to trade blows. X and Sanders are quick to move towards the brawl but they are both cut off by Deeley and Tanner respectively, and a massive out of control brawl carries around the floor while the referee fails to keep any control at all. All six men are getting in their shots as Flash begins to get the upperhand on Future, pulling him back to the floor every time he tries to roll back into the ring to escape and break the count. The action slowly begins to return back to something resembling order with Future gaining the upperhand amidst the chaos thanks to an unseen low blow. Flash falls victim to much of the offense as The Truth and Citizen X use a lot of tags to control the action and wear him down. They even make sure to get plenty of pin attempts, forcing Tanner and Deeley into the ring in order to break up some of the falls, giving the bad guys even more time to take advantage of the referee turning his back to utilise some underhanded tactics. Several false comebacks later and Flash is in serious trouble, with the crowd almost begging for him to make the tag and save his side from certain defeat. Tanner and Deeley seem desperate to get into the ring too and are making a lot of noise for Flash to make the tag. Flash manages to escape a draining rear chin lock, getting to his feet and eventually squirming enough to throw Citizen X with a side belly to belly suplex. Flash starts crawling to his corner as X tags to Sanders who then goes for a sleeper but is quickly countered into a back suplex that sends him flying back to his own corner, allowing Future to make the tag. Future looks like he’s going for the sleeper too but Flash springs up from his crouch into a picture perfect dropkick, projecting himself back towards his own corner and a hot tag from Vin Tanner! Tanner is quickly into the ring, throwing big right hands at Future and then alternating between Future and Sanders as both men take the fight to him. Citizen X makes a move to go for Tanner but backs away when Tanner sees him coming. The distraction proves to be enough though, as Future spins Tanner round and then crushes him with a stiff spinebuster. The match is still in disorder though as Deeley rushes at the dazed Sanders and locks in the Front Choke Lock with fearsome speed while Flash recovers enough to hit a big clothesline on X, sending them both to the floor. Future pounds away on Tanner while the referee tries to get Deeley and Sanders out of the ring. Sanders looks to be in real trouble as Deeley releases the hold, rolling to the floor to try and get some breath. Deeley sees that Tanner is struggling too and pulls Future off him, launching him shoulderfirst into his own corner where X has recovered enough from Flash to be back on the apron. Deeley pulls Tanner across the ring to make the tag, prompting X to step in the ring after tagging his partner while he tries to recover from being posted. Deeley and X get in the ring and it only takes a moment for Deeley to launch X with a German suplex. X manages to avoid the bridge and even shows some great skills to block the attempts at a second suplex, but he can’t deny Deeley’s submission skills as Deeley moves like greased lightning to trip X down to the mat and lock in a Seated Stretch Armbar. Flash grabs Frankie Future’s ankle to prevent him from being able to break up the hold as Tanner takes care of Sanders. With no way to break free, even with his tag partners so close to him, X has to tap out in front of the crowd who were chanting for the tap out. She tries to look dignified as she gets into the ring with the belt and throws her arms around Deeley. Deeley doesn’t seem to mind too much as she straps the belt around his waist and raises his hand… while Steve Flash and Vin Tanner have their own quiet little conversation in one corner, smiling and nodding at each other as Deeley and Kristen celebrate winning the match. The BLW forums were active once again, always good to see some activity on there. Shame I didn't have more confirmed matches for them to predict in advance, but here are the results for the matches that were announced ahead of time. Regis: 2/5 Tigerkinney: 2/5 No strong predictions there but I'm going all out on the next card. The Starmageddon match is going to be one of BLW's centerpiece events, one of our biggest annual shows and one of the most prestigious matches in the world one day. As such, the card will be very, very strong indeed. The big Starmageddon match, Deeley vs Tanner, a King Of The Cage title match, a Tag title match... probably a second Cage fight match... this show is going to be something special, but I just need to come up with the fine details. One of the good things about being on commentary is that by time people eventually see our shows on DVD, I've already made sure the matches make sense. If anyone can put across the storylines that are happening, it's the booker and having him (me!) on there means nothing can possibly go wrong. Ah... I can't tell you how much I want BLW to succeed. Can only be a matter of time before we really blow up and take over the world. Til then... I'm going to keep my private blog here and consider releasing this to the world later. Oh, almost forgot. Had to have word with Plague after the show. Seems he was feeling more than a little mischievous before he went home. After getting bored hanging around the back for a while he pulled a prank on Ota that didn't go over very well... I don't even know the details, don't really care either, but to make sure no-one left unhappy I had some words with Plague. He seemed to understand... though whether he was also not caring may be a matter for debate. Oh well.
Christian Black
... which reminds me. Was fun to see a different Christian Black in someone else's diary. Tis a good name, would be my wrestling name in the unlikely event I ever got into the wrestling industry. A nice combo of my middle name and part of my surname and for once, I don't dislike my name. :)
I was playing your excellent 97 mod and using Christian Black as my user character running ROF, just with a couple of stat changes. Got kind of attached and imported him into my 2008 games. Used him as Christian Black in my short-lived 21CW diary and am also using him in my current UEW dynasty, although have changed his name to Wez Blooze (to match my previous ROF dynasty from 07). Oh, and changed the picture too. Keep up the good work in the diary, by the way. Am getting caught up with it! :)
