Okay so here is the situation. I feel bad, I really do but what would you do if you were handed your dream job on a silver platter? Would you pass it up because it means your best friend gets demoted…sort of? Or would you show yourself as the loyal friend that you are and pass up the opportunity of a life time? Seriously…which one would you do.

You see I was recently met with this very situation. Okay, okay enough rambling, let’s get to some details. Is that what you want? Fine you asked for it.

You see I grew up across the street from the DeColts. Ya them DeColts. All through elementary, middle, and high school I was best friends with Alex DeColt. Well, more like I was his sidekick. As he was growing up and basically shoved in the wrestling business, I was the one training hard to become a wrestler. Everyone always told me I was too small, too clumsy, too whatever as long as it wasn’t too much of a wrestler. Alex on the other hand was basically an Adonis.

George always did like me. He could see my passion for the business so he let me hang around. I would fill in where ever George needed me too, and I always did a great job. Need some one to set up the ring tonight? Go get Tyler he will do it. Need some one to referee the opening dark match because Francis Long is too busy in the broom closet with the local ring rat? Call Tyler he can do it. Got a new monster heel that needs to destroy a “fan” at ring side. Hell Tyler can take a beating!

Besides all those glorious jobs, George used to let me sit in the creative meetings. And when I say “sit in” I mean get them coffee and donuts while they discuss the show. Every great once in awhile George would even run some ideas by me and ask me what I thought. I was usually pretty timid, and agreed with him about whatever he said. Alex on the other hand. My best friend for as long as I can remember? He would tell me his ideas and I would blast him for how ****ty and gimmicky they were. He constantly told me I didn’t know what fans truly wanted. I told him he was an idiot. If he thinks all the fans want is him and his brothers rambling on an on every night he is sadly mistaken.

Eventually over time I grew some balls and began expressing small bits of suggestions to George. He was always positive about them. Sometimes he even actually went with them. Sometimes that is…well up until late December 2007 that is. It was late, probably two in the morning one night after a show, and I was finishing cleaning up the building, all by myself again, when George come strolling out.

He was shocked to still see me there but thanked me for all my hard work. He seemed kind of down so I asked him what was wrong. At first he repeatedly said nothing was the matter and tried to change the subject. Finally after a few minutes he eventually came clean. You see George was diagnosed with cancer a few days before that. He has yet to tell his kids or even his wife. He just doesn’t want to be the bearer of bad news to them all. I told him he really needed to tell them, and he agreed but was just wanting to hold off a little longer.

That night we stayed there talking back and forth for a few hours. I explained to him my dream scenario for CGC. How I thought they could become huge in North America. Everyone always sees NOTBPW as the top Canadian promotion but they were wrong. With some drive and determination, CGC could easily pass NOTBPW up for Canadian domination, and for North American supremacy. I asked George why he never really expanded?

George told me he always wanted to but once the kids started popping out, and he retired full time from the ring he thought it was best to keep it close to home. But it was always his dream to take CGC to the top of the wrestling industry. Since he has gotten older he has gave more and more of the company to the boys like Alex who is perfectly content sticking around the house.

I explained o George how I think it should go. First you strike up a working agreement with your brothers above the border. You exchange your boys for a couple of their high profile guys a few times a year to draw name recognition for some big shows. But really your setting them up. Your showing their top guys what a real promotion is like, and you sending your boys over to spy on the enemy. Eventually we will surpass NOTBPW, and when we do, we steal all their quality talent and crush them, making us #1 in Canada. From there we expand big time! Once we dominant Canada, the rest of North America is ours.

George loved the fire in my eyes, as he called it. He told me to keep living that dream. Never let that passion die. He then thanked me for the talk and told me I missed a spot while I was sweeping. Well that was that. George went home, I finished cleaning. A few days went by, George told his family about the diagnosis and things were a little crazy around CGC.

Then it happened. January 1, 2008. New Years Day! George called a huge meeting for all CGC employees, including janitors, which is why I was there. In this meeting George told everyone about his condition. He went on to tell them about his dream of what CGC could really become, a North American dynasty. George showed more fire and passion in that 20 minute speech then I had seen since I was a little kid. It was kind of exciting for a wrestling dork like myself.

George ended the meeting by saying there is only one man that can take CGC to that level. Only one man that shows the passion to make CGC a powerhouse in this industry. Only one man can lead them to the promise land. As he was saying this Alex started to stand up because George was staring in our direction. Then he proclaimed, and that one man is none other then… TYLER CHRISTIANZEN!

I swear the air got sucked out of that room. Everyone was like “WHAT THE HELL?” Alex turned to me not knowing what was going on. Heck I didn’t know what was going on! George turned to me and asked me. “So are you going to lead us or not?”

So…in a nut shell…a really big nut shell…that was the dilemma I was stuck with. Become CGC head booker, and try to turn them into a North American powerhouse in the wrestling industry, or defer to my life time best friend.

Tough One…

That was four months ago. Now here we are April, 1 2008. A lot has changed in my personal and professional life.

In my personal life I pretty much have alienated my best friend Alex DeColt. Since that day he has basically denied my existence. He rarely talks to me and if he does it is strictly professional. But on the other hand but professional life is booming. CGC is already taking off!

I took on CGC at full speed. George is always telling me to slow down, but in the same sentence he tells me how he loves my passion. It took a little convincing but I got a nice quick overall of the roster. I brought in pieces I thought could help us be successful, and got rid of the parts that I didn’t see doing anything but taking up space.

In were…

Alex Braun

Acid

Dallas McWade

Dean McWade

Canadian Elemental

Davis Wayne Newton

Edd Stone

Eisaku Hoshino

Gino Montero

Larry Wood

Tedd Brady

Left over from the cuts were…

Adrian Garcia

Bobby Thomas

Dan DaLay

Ed Monton

Eddie Chandler

Eric Tyler

Farrah Hesketh

Francis Long

Jenny Playmate

Jerome Turner

Lee Rivera

Nate Johnson

Ryan Powell

Shane Nelson

Sean Deeley

Trent Shaffer

Whippy the Clown

And of course all DeColts

We had a nice well balanced roster of entertainers, youngsters and veterans. I was really loving the way the roster was shaping up.

Like I told you before things have changed quite a bit. Currently we have a pretty good talent trading relationship with NOTBPW. We’ll see how long that lasts. In February we sent Steve and Jack DeColt to them in return for Sean McFly and Dark Angel. Sean was a class act. He didn’t mind putting over younger talent at all. Dark Angel worked some excellent matches with Ricky DeColt especially.

So with all this being said lets take a look at the roster ..

Alex Braun- Currently D Popularity Across Canada

Alex was brought in due to his excellent entertainment skills and the fact that he could be a great veteran locker room prescience for our younger talent.

Acid - Currently C+ Popularity Across Canada

Acid was one of the best free agents on the market when I took over. He makes an excellent opponent for Ricky DeColt, and Steve DeColt

Adrian Garcia – Currently C- Popularity Across Canada

Adrian is currently leading the Elite Stable consisting of Dan DaLay, Eddie Chandler, Sean Deeley and the Specialists.

Alex DeColt - Currently B+ Popularity Across Canada

Alex is one of our feature attractions. He is a DeColt which means he remains at the top at all cost

Bobby Thomas - Currently D+ Popularity Across Canada

One half of the Specialists, currently the top team in CGC

Canadian Elemental - Currently E+ Popularity Across Canada

A random generated worker with great all around skills. After seeing the new Elemental mask in the render section I decided to make a Canadian Elemental.

Dallas McWade – Currently C+ Popularity Across Canada

Orginally brought in as security for George DeColt after a brutal attack by the Elite. They have recently been feuding with the Specialists.

Dan DaLay – Currently B+ Popularity Across Canada

Dan has been red hot lately feuding with Jack DeColt. He is a main event main stay and the powerhouse of the Elite

Davis Wayne Newton - Currently E- Popularity Across Canada

A new comer to the roster who is loaded with talent and just waiting for his big break.

Dean McWade – Currently C+ Popularity Across Canada

Orginally brought in as security for George DeColt after a brutal attack by the Elite. They have recently been feuding with the Specialists.

Ed Monton - Currently D+ Popularity Across Canada

His great psychology and basics allows him to be a great trainer for younger talent

Edd Stone - Currently C+ Popularity Across Canada

After being released by TCW, we quickly snatched him up and plan on making headlines by have a Stone in CGC. Lately he has been teaming with Ricky DeColt quite a bit.

Eddie Chandler - Currently A Popularity Across Canada

Eddie has taken the role of being the top heel in CGC. After beating Ricky for the World title, he is having a very successful run.

Eisaku Hoshino - Currently C+ Popularity Across Canada

A freelance worker who will take contracts from anyone. He has just signed with CGC and is awaiting his first match with the company.

Eric Tyler - Currently C+ Popularity Across Canada

Eric is a veteran of CGC. He stays on top by beating the youngsters, training them up in the process.

Farrah Hesketh - Currently E Popularity Across Canada

Repackaged is a strictly a valet she is currently managing McWade Security Corp.

Francis Long - Currently D+ Popularity Across Canada

Still the biggest bad ass ref around…

George DeColt - Currently B+ Popularity Across Canada

Current owner of CGC and resident color commentator. He puts his excellent charisma to use every week as a color commentator.

Gino Montero - Currently E- Popularity Across Canada

A 2nd generation youngster who is currently earning his stripes and taking his lumps. Has an excellent future with the company though.

Hotstuff Marie - Currently C Popularity Across Canada

Still banging Jack

Jack DeColt - Currently B+ Popularity Across Canada

Currently involved in a bitter feud with the Elite, mainly Dan DaLay. And still banging Marie.

Jenny Playmate - Currently C- Popularity Across Canada

Currently managing Youth Energy and banging everyone.

Jerome Turner - Currently C- Popularity Across Canada

Not the best announcer available but he has excellent chemistry with George DeColt so we let him stick around a while longer

Larry Wood – Currently C- Popularity Across Canada

This freak is currently rising up the card due to his excellent psycho gimmick and menace ability.

Lee Rivera - Currently D- Popularity Across Canada

One half of Youth Energy. Seen as the future of CGC tag team wrestling

Nate Johnson - Currently D+ Popularity Across Canada

One half of the Specialists, currently the top team in CGC

Ricky DeColt – Currently C+ Popularity Across Canada

Youngest of the DeColt and is already a former World Champ. Since losing the belt he has slipped back down the card occasionally teaming with Edd Stone

Ryan Powell – Currently C+ Popularity Across Canada

Seen as one of the future main eventers of CGC. He is currently being groomed for a run at the top of the card against the DeColts.

Shane Nelson - Currently D- Popularity Across Canada

One half of Youth Energy. Seen as the future of CGC tag team wrestling

Shooter Sean Deeley - Currently B- Popularity Across Canada

The future top main event heel of CGC. He is riding the success of an excellent mini feud with NOTBPW’s Sean McFly which seen Deeley win a loser leaves CGC match to end the feud.

Steve DeColt - Currently B+ Popularity Across Canada

The best wrestler of all the DeColts. Currently he is not feuding with anyone, but word has it that he is about to be involved in something major.

Ted Brady – Currently D Popularity Across Canada

Ted was brought in due to the fact that he could be a great veteran locker room prescience for our younger talent. He makes a great undercard performer

Trent Shaffer - Currently C- Popularity Across Canada

Seen as one of the future main eventers of CGC. He is currently being groomed for a run at the top of the card against the DeColts.

Whippy The Clown - Currently D Popularity Across Canada

Makes a great opening card act. Has yet to catch on like expected.

There is the roster for the current CGC…More to come later…

Well occasionally probably. I used Ricky DeColt way more since he is on a written so he also has singles matches. All of Edd's matches lately have been tag matches.

News from CGC

Here we are Tuesday after noon. The latest Title Bout Wrestling was in the books and I think it was a pretty successful outing. As I stare at the roster sheet trying to think of how next week’s show is going to pan out, I hear my door swing open. In walks, the man, George DeColt.

He proceeds to tell me he thought the show was just so-so. He thinks that while it was not a bad show, and while I have not put on a bad show in…well…probably ever my shows aren’t really eye popping. These shows aren’t going to draw attention to CGC to make us topple SWF or even NOTBPW for that matter.

George says he wants spice! So that’s what he wants? Well that’s what we are going to give him then! All thriller, no filler this week on Title Bout Wrestling. That’s how things are going to go down. As I plan out the card for next week, I make every match mean something. I make every match be able to go either way so the fans will be on the edge of their seat.

I ask George if booking like this will burn the fans out? His answer was typical George. “Who knows we been booking the same ol boring way for 10+ years. Its time to change it up, that’s why I brought you in remember?”

I guess that’s right. I keep forgetting, I keep not wanting to step on toes. But that was my job. I was here to ruffle feathers and get some spark into this company. Well that’s what we are going to do. And I think I am going to need the help of my former best friend to do it, if only he would talk to me.

George turns to leave the room, but stops abruptly. George asks “Hey you know that Mexican kid you brought in? The one that flies all over the ring, with those unique moves and stuff?”

“Ya Gino, he’s going to be a real star huh?”, I say.

“Ya that kid has star potential written all over him.” George answers.

“Why you ask?” I say.

“Ya he gave me his notice, I guess SWF signed him to a developmental deal.” George answers with a cokcy grin on his face.

“Son of a b!tch!” I yell out while slamming my fist down.

“Get used to it kid, until we can compete they go where the money is.” George says as he exits the room

Damn Gino!

A little backstage trouble...

So here I am...minding my own business backstage when I hear some one shouting my name from way down the hall. I turn around, and to my surprise it is Nate Johnson, one half of the Specialists. I have never really had too many discussions with Nate ever, he usually sticks to himself, or hangs with Bobby. He isn't looking to happy as he walks up to me

Nate Johnson: Hey Tyler can I talk to you for a second.

Tyler Christianzen: Sure thing Nate.

Nate Johnson: I know you got enough on your plate but your going to have to do something about that damn Francis Long.

Tyler Christianzen: What seems to be the problem?

Nate Johnson: That little pr!ck is constantly running his mouth about me and everyone else. He knows we won't touch him because George would fire us on the spot.

Now I got to admit, I have never heard of Francis causing trouble but Nate seems to suggest he might be a bit of a pain in the behind.

Tyler Christianzen: Alright Nate I will talk to him. Thanks for coming to me with it.

Nate turns around and heads back down the hall way. I continue in the direction I was going when I pass a dressing room to the right of me. I see Francis Long changing out of his referee uniform.

Tyler Christianzen: Hey Francis...

A little startled he turns around

Francis Long: Ya?

Tyler Christianzen: Quit running your mouth. George might fire the boys for knocking you out but he isn't going to fire me. Catch my drift?

Francis Long: Uhh ya...

Tyler Christianzen: Alright then.

I continue down the hallway. I think tonight ended up being a pretty good show overall. Just wait until next week!

And the show starts...

The show opens with Alex DeColt inside the ring. He demands to know what exactly Jack was thinking. They are supposed to be brothers. That is not how one brother is supposed to beat the other brother. Alex demands that Jack comes down to the ring. Jack makes his way down to the ring and both DeColts stand inside the ring together as they have many of times, but not with this tension.

Alex: So, how do you explain yourself?

Jack: I don't need to explain myself. It was every man for himself.

Alex: So that's how you want to pull this off? You want to win with help from the Elite?

Jack: Alex, we both know, help from Dan or no help from Dan I was still coming away from that match as the winner.

Alex: Says who?

Jack: Says me! They don't call me the Feature Presentation Jack DeColt for no reason there Alex.

Alex: Who the hell calls you that?

Jack: Everyone! Alex you are a great wrestler. It's just you are not up to my level yet. Some day you will be. Hell some day you might even be better then me, but right now Alex you are not. The better Decolt won.

Alex: Is that a fact?

Jack: I am sorry to break it to you this way Alex, but yes it is a fact.

Alex: How about we go right now then?

Jack: Alex settle down.

Alex: Don't tell me to settle down. Let's go right here, right now.

Just then George appears from the back with a mic.

George: Boys, boys knock it off! You are brothers, we won't be having this family battle ground. Actually I have a way to remedy this. Tonight you two are teaming up against the Elite members Eddie Chandler and Dan DaLay so you better start
