johnmcc
I decided to break down and purchase the College Years, guess that'll have to do until Bowl Bound comes out.
Wiglaf
Don't do it! Say no to TCY. You cannot play the individual games (i.e. make coaching calls) yourself, you can only sim through them. The interface is the most painful of any game that I have ever seen, both aesthetically and functionally. Immersion value is zero. Deciding how many hours a week each player should spend with his girlfriend is a miserable experience. I could go on... Front Office Football is a much better game--the interface is almost as bad, but the game engine is quite solid.
johnmcc
Yeah, it was basically a waste of $29, i already got tired of playing NCAA2006, after winning back to back titles with Rutgers how hard could the game be.
MrHaroldG
Don't do it! Say no to TCY
I second that emotion after squandering $29 on it. In addition to the said reasons, nothing is editable except the schools and their nicknames.

bigdrew102
john ncaa 06 is a glorious game. Me and my bro are in our 6th year of our dynasty. All oyu have to do is play on heisman and if that gets to easy for you then turn up the sliders.
slingblade73
NCAA 2006 is as hard as you want it to be even on varsity. You need to check out SM27's manifesto from maddenmania.com
Bryan Swartz
That's just the game though. The recruiting is horrible, as is the computer AI and playcalling. Its an arcade exercise, pure and simple.
GeoWar
I have TCY - I found it very confusing and time consuming at the beginning ... The time for practice, leisure etc. can be set by position with varibles for GPA etc. -- this makes the game less time consuming and if you have a player that is having problems; you edit the one player. game play is basically "sim" .. this is a con as I would like to call plays and be able to sub based on situation. But I have played the game (still do) -- for recruiting it offers more than NCAA and other "games" out there.
GeoWar
I hope that BB allows you to game plan and script plays - for online play.
Celts-Sonics Fan
I love this game! My only request is that we could create our own teams/players in an easy to use editor...
cody8200
The way the database is set up in Jim's games (Programmer of TCY and FOF) makes it difficult to edit these things.

WrongWay
game play is basically "sim" ..
This is the #1 reason to buy it. It was a stat junkies dream game when it was released. As most pointed out it is a very hard game to win compared to something like EA's NCAA. Don't expect to take a scholl like Rutgers and when it all straight out of the box. It will take years and years to turn a team around in TCY. But, being 5 years old it is showing some signs of wear. WOW, $29.00 is way to much to pay for a game that was released in 2001.
nokona
I agree TCY is a great game, I have owned the CD since the first week it was released. FYI. Being a Rutgers fan and playing them all the time. Personal best is 11 years with no cheating(bribes). 7 years with Bribes
