angeldelayette
First on the WWF. What is this with Ramon defeating Yoko cleanly? Clearly he is destined for greatness over there. Let's hope he doesn't get his demons in this game like real life. And no Royal Rumble in the Royal Rumble? Odd As for the WCW. Poor Macho man. I'd laugh if it were Hogan behind it all. It's nice to see the Horsemen on top even in the mid 90's. It'll be interesting to see where you go with this. Keep up the good work Thanks for the comments. Yeah, the CPU doesn't recognize the Royal Rumble as having that specific gimmick match involved in it so it usually doesn't have a 30 man battle royal. MadMatt
Quick Picks Cruiserweight Title Tournament, Semifinals: Dean Malenko vs. Rey Misterio Jr. -It should be a close match but Malenko should win, gearing up for a big match in the finals. The Blue Bloods vs. The Steiner Brothers -A high impact tag team match but the Steiner Brothers should win and perhaps get the ball rolling for a chance at the WCW World Tag Team Titles. WCW World Tag Team Titles Match: Lex Luger and Sting defend vs. Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater -Luger and Sting win, token title defense here to be honest. The Renegade vs. Disco Inferno -The Renegade just seems to be the logical choice for the winner. Poor Disco. Cruiserweight Title Tournament, Semifinals: Chris Benoit vs. Brian Pillman -Another close match but Benoit/Malenko is the perfect final to get the Cruiserweight Title set off on the right foot. The Giant vs. A Mystery Opponent -The Giant can't be stopped, no matter who comes from behind that curtain.

Greg McNeish
Cruiserweight Title Tournament, Semifinals: Dean Malenko vs. Rey Misterio Jr. Rey, you've had a great run (not ratings-wise, but you know), but unfortunately the ride ends here. Malenko is my choice for champion. Horsemen pride. The Blue Bloods vs. The Steiner Brothers It doesn't matter which version of the Blue Bloods we get, the Steiners are finding their way to a title shot, sooner or later. The Blue Bloods? Not so much. WCW World Tag Team Titles Match: Lex Luger and Sting defend vs. Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater Speaking of which.... The Renegade vs. Disco Inferno Disco is the US Title #1 Contender. Sure, he doesn't have much of a chance in that match, but he'll still stay strong here. Cruiserweight Title Tournament, Semifinals: Chris Benoit vs. Brian Pillman Definitely the biggest match this tournament has seen, yet. Pillman goes over, to avoid an all-Horsemen finals. Flyin' Brian gets a raw deal, having to face Benoit, then Malenko. Poor kid. The Giant vs. A Mystery Opponent If the Lord Almighty stepped through that curtain, even He'd have a hard time getting the win over the Giant. angeldelayette
WCW SATURDAY NIGHT! Friday Week 4 January 1996 Location: Joe Louis Arena - Detroit, Michigan Attendance: 15,000 Overall Rating: C- TV Rating: 2.74 http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/WCWNitro.jpg [The show begins with a replay of Monday Nitro, specifically the main event where Ric Flair defeated Lex Luger!] http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/DeanMalenko.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ReyMysterioJr.jpg Cruiserweight Title Tournament, Semifinals: Dean Malenko vs. Rey Misterio Jr. An excellent opening bout here on WCW Saturday Night! Rey Misterio did a lot of flying around, including a plancha to the outside of the ring! Back inside, Dean slowed him down with some good technical wrestling holds, keeping Misterio grounded. Misterio went for a flying headscissors but Malenko countered it into a PowerBomb and then locked Misterio's legs in the Texas Cloverleaf! Rey Jr. fought for about a minute before finally giving up! Winner: Dean Malenko Match Rating: C- http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/HulkHogan.jpg [backstage, Hulk Hogan is....walking! He turns a corner and bumps into the Macho Man Randy Savage!] Hulk Hogan "Randy, you haven't been returning my phone calls. How is your brother?" Randy Savage "He's gonna be fine, yeah. But what I want to know is where were you, Hulk Hogan? Where were you when my kid brother got attacked?" Hulk Hogan "What are you implying, Randy?" Randy Savage "I'm just asking a question, Hulk." Hulk Hogan "I would never do that to you or your family, brother..." Randy Savage "Don't call me that, dig it? I'll be keeping my eye on you." [Randy brushes his shoulder against Hulk, pushing him as he walks by. Does Randy really think Hulk Hogan has something to do with these attacks?] http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/StevenRegal.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/BobbyEatonSquire.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RickSteiner2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ScottSteiner.jpg The Blue Bloods vs. The Steiner Brothers It's Regal and Eaton in this incarnation of The Blue Bloods taking on The Steiner Brothers. This match was definitely better than anything that the WWF could ever put on to compete with it. A lot of technical mat based wrestling and hold for counterhold. The Blue Bloods used a lot of double team moves on the Steiners behind the referee's back but The Steiner Brothers made their comeback toward the end. Rick Steiner lifted Earl Robert Eaton on his shoulders and Scott hit the Steiner DDT off the top turnbuckle to make the pinfall and the victory for the Steiners! Winners: The Steiner Brothers Match Rating: B- [Following the match, the Road Warriors came running down to the ring and a brawl ensued between the Steiner Brothers and the Road Warriors! Luger was really off his game tonight when he was in the ring, making Sting shine in comparison. This was mostly dominated by the Champions. Luger dropped Bunkhouse Buck with a Military Press Slam and got the pinfall victory. Winners: Lex Luger and Sting Match Rating: D+ [instead of Lex Luger and Sting's music playing, the clomp of horse's hooves began the music of the Four Horsemen and out from the back came Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit! They stood at the top of the entrance ramp.] Arn Anderson "A good win against a subpar team doesn't prove that you deserve the titles, Luger and Sting. You want to prove that you deserve those belts? At SuperBrawl, defend them against myself and the Crippler here. What do you say, boys?" [Luger just starts nodding and accepting the challenge before Sting can even say anything! Sting looks a little annoyed at Luger but he accepts the challenge as well.] http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/TheRenegade.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/DiscoInferno.jpg The Renegade vs. Disco Inferno He's so ****y! He's so cool! He's just a disco dancing fool! The crowd didn't care too much about this match though Disco Inferno tried to get them into it. In the beginning, Disco and The Renegade had a bit of a dance-off. The Renegade showed some power but Disco fought back and hit the Last Dance to get the pinfall as Scott Norton walked down toward the ring. Winner: Disco Inferno Match Rating: D [Disco began disco dancing in the ring to celebrate his win as Scott Norton got in the ring behind him! Norton tapped on his shoulder and Disco shrugged him off. Norton tapped again and again Disco shoved him off. One more time and Disco finally turned and his eyes went wide, fear obviously shown as he stepped backward and fell on the mat. Norton flexed and Disco crawled out of the ring, running through the crowd to get away!] http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/DiamondDallasPage.jpg [backstage, Diamond Dallas Page stands in front of a blue screen.] Diamond Dallas Page "Listen up, I'm gonna make this real simple. Johnny B. Badd, you have two things that I want: The World Television Title and Kimberly. Kimberly is already my wife even if she is siding with you. So we're down to the World Television Title. I want a rematch against you at SuperBrawl, if I win I get the title and I get Kimberly. If you win, you get to shave my head bald as a cueball. But I don't have to worry about that last one because it's never gonna happen! At SuperBrawl, I'm gonna kick your ass. And after SuperBrawl, Kimberly is gonna feel what it's like to feel the BANG!" [DDP smiles to himself as we cut back to the ring.] http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ChrisBenoit.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/BrianPillman.jpg Cruiserweight Title Tournament, Semifinals Chris Benoit vs. Brian Pillman Definitely a classic matchup here and the best match of the night. The winner of course will go on to face Dean Malenko at SuperBrawl for the vacant Cruiserweight Title. These two men went back and forth with Pillman doing his usual erratic things that he's done here lately while Benoit is the more subdued type with the focus on wearing down Pillman. Benoit used the steel guardrail on the outside of the ring on Pillman at one point and at another Pillman flew over the top rope landing on Benoit outside the ring! A steel post used by Benoit and the steel steps used by Pillman! These two went at it for nearly 18 minutes in the ring as they battled to head to SuperBrawl in this title match. Pillman, in the end, struck Benoit with the Air Pillman and got the pinfall victory though he was exhausted! Winner: Brian Pillman Match Rating: B [Following the match, Dean Malenko came in with a chair and struck Pillman on the leg with it several times! Malenko then locked in the Texas Cloverlead with Pillman screaming in pain until officials came down and broke things up!] http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RicFlairIV.jpg [backstage, Ric Flair is standing waiting for his interview] Ric Flair "Did somebody tell me that the Horsemen are having a party at SuperBrawl? Whoooo! We've got Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit taking the WCW World Tag Team Titles from Sting and Lex Luger, Dean Malenko taking the Cruiserweight Title over Flyin Brian and then you have the Nature Boy, Slick Ric proving once again that diamonds are forever and so is Ric Flair. Whooooo. Giant, you have no idea what you're up against tonight. But I do. I went to the WCW Chairman and I said that I have a great match for you tonight. As a matter of fact, it's a former Horsemen. Tonight, Giant, you step inside the ring with Tully Blanchard! Whooooooooo!" http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/PaulWight.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/TullyBlanchard.jpg The Giant vs. Tully Blanchard The Giant got some cheers and Tully came out to a mixed reaction from some old school fans. Tully was off his game though and The Giant dominated most of the match that wasn't all that good, to be honest. The Giant finished off Tully with his Choke Slam! Winner: The Giant Match Rating: D [Following the match, Ric Flair ran down and entered the ring! He swung a chair --- DODGED! The Giant dodged that chair shot and then sent a big meaty fist right into the chair, denting it! Flair's eyes went wide as The Giant signalled for another Choke Slam and The Nature Boy quickly exited stage right! Ric backed his way up the ramp and could only watch in horror as The Giant lifted Tully Blanchard up and Choke Slammed him for the second time! The show came to a close with The Giant standing tall!][/QUOTe]
angeldelayette
From WCW.com... World Championship Wrestling has confirmed the releases of both Big Train Bart and Jimmy Hart. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors. From WrestlingObserver.com... As we said just a couple of days ago, WCW has confirmed the release of Jimmy 'Mouth of the South' Hart. Since his release, Jimmy has been outspoken against WCW, saying they are going downhill fast and he has spoken highly of the WWF. Will we be seeing the Mouth of the South making a return to the World Wrestling Federation? On another note, inside news reports that WCW has decided to give a focus to a new anti-drug policy by randomly testing at every show. This is always a good thing because we see far too many wrestlers pass away from drug issues every year. ...

keefmoon
Really enjoyed Saturday Night, was another very cool show. Bet you're chuffed with the Benoit - Pillman match. Those two could be huge for you over the next few years, especially as a highly rated alternative to the surely soon to debut nWo. Good idea with the drug testing. Are you going to do a three strikes rule or what? I'm always torn on drug testing. In principle I think I want to be really vigilant and get people off the stuff or out of the company, but on the other hand I never want to risk annoying half the roster by firing someone they all like or lowering match ratings by firing popular or great workers. Paul Orndorff vs. Chris Jericho I love Jericho, and the incredible midcard is part of what made WCW great, so a win for him will hopefully set him up nicely American Males vs. Blue Bloods I have a soft spot for the Blue Bloods, probably because Regal & Eaton were flat out quality wrestlers. Regal is one of the most underused talents I've ever seen. To think a guy who is as entertaining, charismatic and good in the ring as him never even had a main event match is a shame WCW World Television Title Match, 10 Minute Time Limit: Johnny B. Badd defends vs. Hugh Morrus Morrus was a pretty good worker and one of the highlights of the last year for WCW, but Bad dwil retain WCW United States Heavyweight Title Match: Scott Norton defends vs. Shark Norton needs to retain for a bit until a suitable challenger comes along. I'm a huge fan of the Intercontinental and US Titles so I always want to see great champions and great matches for them Looking forward to the show bud, this is one of the first diaries I look out for. As far as the drug testing goes, I'm gonna be really careful and there might be some sort of bias toward certain performers but that's life too, right? Some people are given third, fourth and fifth chances while others go out on the first. I already did a test on everyone and came back with some interesting results. Some vowed to get clean while others sorta shrugged it off. Interesting side note is that Chris Kanyon developed loyalty toward my user character of Eric Bischoff after I gave him the Fatherly Approach. Oh and Bobby Eaton did have one high profile main event match that I can remember. It was at a Clash of the Champions where he faced Ric Flair for the WCW World Title in a 2 out of 3 falls match and nearly won the belt!

angeldelayette
After much careful thought and consideration, I have decided to give this one another go. It fits in with keeping my word because I did say that my WCW 1996 diary would be remaining over in my USPW post. Both my USPW and WCW 1996 diaries will be running as stated over there before. If you wish to read and make comments strictly on the diary and write-up, etc, feel free to do so as always.

WCW will be starting off the new year of 1996 with a bang and a major main event where the Immortal Hulk Hogan takes on The Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan of the Dungeon of Doom. It is also our pleasure to announce a new format within our shows: WCW Monday Nitro will now be going two hours in prime time instead of just one so make sure you tune in for that wrestling action! Due to this change, both WCW Saturday Night and WCW Main Event will be moved to a one hour format. Welcome to where the big boys play! This is WCW! ... angeldelayette
((I hope everyone enjoys this first card. Comments are always appreciated.)) WCW MONDAY NITRO! Monday Week 1 January 1996 Location: Orlando Arena - Orlando, Florida Attendance: 15,000 Overall Rating: B- TV Rating: 4.69 [The show begins with a highlight package from Starrcade, focusing in on the main event where Ric Flair defeated Randy Savage for the WCW World Heavyweight Title after some interference by the Enforcer Arn Anderson.] [Cut inside the arena] Tony Schiavone: "Hello everyone and welcome to WCW another jam-packed and exciting edition of WCW Monday Nitro! I'm Tony Schiavone, alongside my co-hosts Bobby The Brain Heenan and Steve Mongo McMichael. Gentleman, last night's Starrcade was a great event and things are just going to be heating up that much more here on Nitro." Steve McMichael: "You got that right, pal! We're gonna get to see Hulk Hogan himself here in the main event." Bobby Heenan: "What you're gonna get to see is Kevin Sullivan put Hulkamania out of this business tonight." Steve McMichael: "I'll have to see it to believe it, Weasel." Tony Schiavone: "Alright, gentlemen, let's head up to the ring for our first bout featuring the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion!" Match #1 http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RicFlair.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/CraigPittman.jpg Non Title Ric Flair vs. Sgt. Craig Pittman [The crowd really didn't like this match as it was obvious from the early-goings just who was going to win the bout. Flair and Pittman just didn't click at all inside the ring and it showed in their performance. Flair reddened the chest of Pittman with chops and he put the Pit Bull away with the Figure 4 Leglock and a submission.] Winner: Ric Flair Match Rating: D+ [Mean Gene Okerlund joins Ric Flair inside the ring following the bout.] Mean Gene Okerlund: "Ric Flair, first of all, even though I didn't like how you won the belt, congratulations on winning the WCW World Heavyweight Title." Ric Flair: "Mmmmmeeeaaaannnnn Whooooo Gene! Somebody told me that there's a party going on tonight right here in Orlando, Florida. Whoooooo! And we're gonna party Horsemen style, which means we're gonna go alllll night long!" Gene Okerlund: "I'm not sure how you can feel good about how your win over Randy Savage went down at Starrcade, Ric. But I have learned that Randy Savage has requested his rematch to come at the Clash of the Champions and he has been granted the rematch!" Ric Flair: "Why wait until then, Gene? Macho Man? Why don't you come right down here to this very ring and let's get it settled tonight?!?!" Gene Okerlund: "Are you serious, Ric Flair?" Ric Flair: "Macho Man, I'm waiting!" Tony Schiavone: "And it doesn't look like he's gonna have to be waiting for too long as there is the Macho Man's music! It looks like we're gonna have a WCW World Heavyweight Title defense tonight!" Bobby Heenan: "But where is he, Tony?" Tony Schiavone: "I have no idea. His music is playing but we have no Randy Savage." Ric Flair: "Just what I thought, Randy! You have NO guts!" [Ric shakes his head and leaves the ring, heading for the back. But what happened to the Macho Man?] Match #2 http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RoadwarriorAnimal.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RoadwarriorHawk.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/SgtBuddyLeeParker.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/no_picture.jpg Road Warriors return vs. State Patrol [Not a very good match indeed but it was the return of the Road Warriors here in action against the veteran job-team of the State Patrol. Not much to say about the match. Lt. James Earl was lifted on top of Animal's shoulders and Hawk finished it off with the Doomsday Device and a pinfall with one foot on top of Lt. James Earl's chest.] Winners: The Road Warriors Match Rating: D- Match #3 http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/MarcMero.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/KimberlyPage.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/MikeRotundaWallstreet.jpg WCW World Television Title Match Johnny B. Badd defends vs. V.K. Wallstreet [Our first title match this evening and it's a good one as Johnny B. Badd squares off with V.K. Wallstreet. Kimberly cheered on Johnny B. Badd at ringside as he went back and forth with V.K. Wallstreet inside the ring. Wallstreet had several times where he nearly got the fall on Badd, only for JBB to come firing right back. Johnny B. Badd started getting the momentum toward the end of the match, only to get caught from out of nowhere with a Diamond Cutter! The referee immediately signalled the DQ.] Winner: Johnny B. Badd Match Rating: C [Diamond Dallas Page stands over the WCW World Television Champion, being handed a microphone.] Diamond Dallas Page: "Johnny B. Chumped? You can consider this a challenge for that shiny belt of yours and also for the woman on your arms. You think you're tough enough to keep either of them? Meet me in the ring at the Clash and you're gonna wish that you didn't because as you were shown tonight my Diamond Cutter can come out of nowhere. BANG!" [DDP makes the Diamond symbol and then slides out of the ring.] [backstage, Jim Duggan is standing by on his own with a U.S. Flag in one hand and a 2X4 in the other.] Jim Duggan: "U..S..A! U..S..A! One Man Gang, how can we count on you to represent the United States as our Champion? You're a gang and we don't like gang violence here in America, tough guy! So at Clash of the Champions, I am challenging you to meet me inside the ring for the United States belt one on one!" [Duggan gives a thumbs up to the camera and it's back to the ring.] Match #4 http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/BrianKnobbs.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/JerrySags.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/StevenRegal.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/DaveTaylor.jpg Nasty Boys vs. The Blue Bloods [A definite contrast of styles here between these two teams with the more technically sound Blue Bloods taking on the brawlers The Nasty Boys. The crowd was a little psyched watching this average match. The Blue Bloods got the win when David Taylor tagged out to Regal and then hit Brian Knobbs with a Fireman's Carry into a running high knee by Regal and Regal got the pinfall.] Winners: The Blue Bloods Match Rating: C [The cameras go backstage where several officials are seen, pulling boxes away from a central area...] Tony Schiavone: "It looks like there's something under there, Bobby, Steve." Steve McMichael: "Or maybe someone." [The boxes are removed enough to reveal the unconcious body of Randy Savage bleeding like a stuck pig down his face!] Tony Schiavone: "That's Randy Savage!!! Is this why he couldn't answer Flair's challenge earlier???" Bobby Heenan: "Absolutely brilliant!" Steve McMichael: "I don't know about that, Bobby. This is a man's career in jeopardy here!" Tony Schiavone: "Fans, we will keep you up to date on the Macho Man's condition whenever we find out something. But let's head back to the ring and our next bout." Match #5 http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/DeanMalenko.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/JerryLynn2.jpg Dean Malenko vs. Mr. J.L. [A very good match for the technical watchers in the audience. These two have great chemistry inside the ring and it showed throughout this back and forth bout. Dean Malenko in particular showed some good, crisp and solid moves inside the ring. Malenko eventually got the submission victory with the Texas Cloverleaf.] Winner: Dean Malenko Match Rating: D+ Match #6 http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/BookerT.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/StevieRay.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/SherriMartel.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/Sting.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/LexLuger.jpg WCW World Tag Team Titles Match Harlem Heat defend vs. Sting and Lex Luger [Our semi main event here as Harlem Heat defend the WCW World Tag Team Titles against Sting and The Total Package Lex Luger. Harlem Heat have held the belts since September of last year. Both Sting and Luger's performances both stood out in this match. Harlem Heat double-teamed Sting, using him as their face-in-peril until he could finally make the hot tag to the Total Package! Lex Luger came in with clotheslines and a powerslam for Booker T! Sister Sherri handed Stevie Ray a Title belt and then distracted the referee by getting up on the apron. Stevie Ray took a shot at Luger but Luger ducked! The Total Package kicked Stevie in the gut and then grabbed the belt, smashing Stevie Ray in the head with it! The Total Package slid the belt out of the ring and then lifted Stevie Ray into the Human Torture Rack! It didn't take long for Stevie Ray to submit and we have new WCW World Tag Team Champions!] Winners: Sting and Lex Luger Match Rating: C+ [Following the bout, Sting pushed Luger as Luger tried to celebrate with him! Luger handed Sting a belt and raised his own to mixed cheers from the crowd. Sting can be seen obviously yelling that this is not the way he wants to win the belts and he left Luger as the Total Package celebrated.] Match #7 http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/HulkHogan.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/KevinSullivan.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/JimmyHart.jpg Hulk Hogan vs. Kevin Sullivan [And what a main event this evening as Kevin Sullivan gets his shot at ending Hulkamania! A classic back and forth bout between these two with Sullivan using back rakes and eye gouges and anything he could think of to keep Hogan down. He tossed Hogan outside the ring and distracted the official so Jimmy Hart could hit Hogan with the Megaphone! Jimmy Hart rolled Hogan back in the ring and Sullivan gave him a double stomp! Sullivan made the cover: 1 -- 2 -- POWER KICKOUT!! Sullivan was tossed halfway across the ring with that kickout and Hogan went into his Hulk-Up! He shrugged off the shots by Sullivan and then fired his own to the Taskmaster! He managed to hit Sullivan with the Big Boot and that is when The Giant started coming down to the ring! The Giant stepped over the top rope and Hogan met him and they began exchanging punches!] Winner: Hulk Hogan Match Rating: B- [The Giant and Hogan matched punch for punch until Sullivan got involved with a shot to the back of the knee! The Giant bellowed out and grabbed Hogan around the throat --- CHOKE SLAM!!! Sullivan and Jimmy Hart celebrated with The Giant as the show came to a close.]
