Show Thoughts: Counldn't get the homerun I was looking for, but it was still a good card. Hopefully Heroic can do better with the rest of the roster and I just have to hope for the best in terms of the regional battle this month. Probably going to get stuck with 4th. Oh well, at least I was able to bring in Jim Force before I end the diary. :D

In a tough move we have released Ben Williams and Fearless Blue from their contracts in favor of: Signed Davis Wayne Newton for $400 & Traveling (DWN is a next big thing!), Mario Heroic for $900 and Jim Force for $1000.

This month we also re-signed Tim Westybrook for $1500/800, Mark Smart for $250 and Bradford Peverell for $700.

Wow, been forever since I've done this...

NEO Generation: Frankie Perez vs. Nigel Svensson ©

Nigel is the MAN now.

Steve DeColt vs. Mario Heroic

DeColt is probably on loan, so he gets a victory to set up a title shot next month.

PRIMUS vs. Ultimate Phoenix

PRIMUS is on the rise, but it's pretty hard to tell whether you give him the big win here or if Phoenix gets revenge for last month's attack. I'm leaning towards PRIMUS continuing his rise with a victory over one of your prime assets in the company.

The Neptune Twins vs. Tamara & Ashley

Setting up new tag title challengers...?

Davis Wayne Newton vs. Jim Force

DWN will feel the FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORCE... Seriously, what's Newton's Forceclorian count anyway? Like 11?

After the match, Jim Force comes to the ring and challenges Dark Star to a match. I really can't tell you WHY he wants Strong in the ring, though I am pretty sure Force thinks Erik is related to Sam because he said something about the SWF World Heavyweight title. - D

Overall: C-

Show Thoughts: Really this didn't get a C+ or even a straight C? I am so confused. This game can be so temperamental sometimes. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to make the month's 2nd show that much better to get back to the top of the regional mountain. On the plus size, it's very nice to see non-title matches getting strong ratings. In other news, Frankie Perez leaves us once again, this time to tour with INSPIRE.

Are you planning to end this diary?

..

:(

I like this one.

I'm not going to end this diary anytime soon, but I will say this. If I were to stop this diary by my own hand, Unwanted Gifts 2011 would be a great way to go out. :D

Glad to see you back! Your post reminds me that I need to find a way to slip in your renders into one of my diaries ASAP. And calling DeColt being a multiple shot deal took some balls, but you are correct. Steve is the first talent trade to be better than a one shot deal.

NEO Last Chance At Glory

• With only one event separating us from one of NEO's biggest nights, Novus Ordo Seclorum, Nigel Svensson will have one last challenge if he wants to make it to his ladder match with Brendan Idol as champion. And what a challenge it is! Challenging the young Swede is none other than the legendary Steve DeColt.

• At Last Chance At Glory, you will also see a quasi-tag team title tournament as the champions, Sensationally Powerful, put their titles on the line against the young, upstart tag team Arthur Dexter Bradley and NEO original The American Flash while Bradford Peverell's T&A and the new tag team of Jaime Quine and Jared Johnson face in a number one contender's match to see who will face the champions at Novus Ordo Seclorum III.

• Also on the card: Brendan Idol takes on Ultimate Phoenix, "The Dark Star" Erik Strong goes one-on-one with the cult hero, Jim Force, and former NEO Generation champion, Tim Westybrook, will be given time to speak his mind.

Quick Picks

NEO Generation: Nigel Svensson © vs. Steve DeColt

Brendan Idol vs. Ultimate Phoenix

Dark Star vs. Jim Force

NEO Tag Team: High Flyers vs. Sensationally Powerful ©

#1 Contenders: Tamara & Ashley vs. Jaime Quine & Jared Johnson

Writer's Note: You might have been wondering where the hell I have been. Well, besides real life taking up a bit of my mind and a little bit of anime that enthralling enough to watch the series from start to finish, I've been trying to figure out what I am doing with my diaries. Whether or not to continue them as is, change them up a bit in style, or just stop. Well, it took me a while but I've come to a hard decision. NEO will most likely be ending at the end of 2012 while RPW will continue as is (abet a bit sporadic in it's updates). Of course, that is still a bit of a ways off so there is still a good chance that I get a wave of inspiration and I'll continue the diary (whether or not I'd show the parts I'm not that happy with or just jump and recap is another story, but let's just hope I have to make that decision ;)). Now time to get working on the updates for RPW.

Overall: C-

Show Thoughts: What the hell. I knew Idol and Phoenix weren't going to click and I was also right in thinking that they'd still pull off a solid match. However, seeing Nigel and DeColt not clicking at all is just plain cruel. Oh well, it's not the end of the world I guess. Though two C-s isn't going to help me much in terms of the regional battles.

NEO Novus Ordo Seclourm III

• It's a match that is months in the making. Since the start of this year one thing has been clear, Brendan Idol does not like Nigel Svensson. And after two unsuccessful attempts, Idol is getting one more shot at Nigel and his NEO Generation title in a match that Idol is sure to have an advantage, a ladder match.

• Last month Tim Westybrook made an open challenge to anyone in the locker room and answering the Iron Man is none other than Mario Heroic. Heroic is a relative new comer to NEO, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be underestimated as he's a strong competitor in his own right.

• After the fallout from Last Chance At Glory, the NEO World Tag Team title match is set as the champions, Sensationally Powerful, take on the combo of Jaime Quine & Jared Johnson.

• Also on the card is a match for the ages as Steve DeColt faces off against former NEO Generation champion Ultimate Phoenix for the first time still Phoenix was the Generation champion this past year.

• Last, but not least is a trios march between Bradford Peverell, Tamara, and Ashley and Startune Productions.

Show Thoughts: Does anyone want to explain to me how Jared Johnson and Jaime Quine have zero chem as tag partners? With the NEO I have been totally transparent in terms of notes so how come the chemistry note didn't show up sooner? And the ladder match between Nigel and Idol wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. I guess I should have had Jake Saywer get involved again. Probably would have done a bit better (which is slightly odd if you think about it). Still the NEO Generation title is now a B+ in prestige so it wasn't all bad. In other news Mario Heroic signs a developmental deal with RIPW and Marc Speed was unhappy losing (tough).

OCC: Still don't think this is going to go farther than the end of 2011, but I'm going to get there if it kills me. :D

Tag chemistry is the one note that doesn't always show up, and I've never quite been able to work out when it does (it seems to show up more when you officially team them up rather than pairing up two individuals, but I don't have any evidence to back that up). Have you only just made tham an official team?

Yeah, the tag chemistry thing bugs me as well. Keep on trying combinations in dark matches, sometimes getting 'no chemistry' notes, never getting anything decent. Then you decide to go with a combination with no notes, put them as an official team and they get a poor chemistry note. But like eayragt said, I don't really have any evidence of how it works one way or the other. I'd like to know more about it though.

Anyway, good to see this back even if it's supposedly on its last legs. :)

Yeah, it was the first time I made them an official team. As long as it wasn't just me I guess I'm ok with it. ;)

And who knows. As I finish up the year I might get the urge to play it some more and then the next thing I know I'm at the end of 2012 and saying that I need to finish up 2012. :D

Booo!

If you knew you were only going to run this for six more months I'd have given the entire NEO tag title reign to Sensationaly Powerful. I mean come on, Singh deserves SOME claim to fame in the CVerse.

Well for one didn't think I'd get a huge case of writer's block and secondly wait till the end of 2011 till you say that. ;) As for Singh, even if he doesn't do anything else, he mainevented for the first couple of years and carried a fledging tag division for the rest.

It's been a while since I've done this (both real and in-game time) so let's take a look at the Great Lakes popularity of the NEO roster.

Great Lakes Popularity

D+:Brendan Idol, Nigel Svensson

D:Dark Star, Tim Westybrook, Ultimate Phoenix

D-: NONE

E+: Jim Force

E: Bradford Peverell, Dazzling Dave Diamond, Jaime Quine, Jared Johnson, Masked Patriot, PRIMUS

E-: Arthur Dexter Bradley, Ashley, Danny Patterson, Jack Napier, Jefferson Stardust, Jen Neptune, Marc Speed, Mary Beth Chase, Sensational Singh, Tamara, The American Flash

F+: Brimstone, Davis Wayne Newton, Kathy Neptune

NEO The Zoo

• After an incredible title defense again Brendan Idol at Novus Ordo Seclorum III, Commissioner Sawyer has rewarded Nigel with yet another title defense to close out the month. This time young Nigel faces not one, but three men including two former champions in "The Dark Star" Erik Strong and Ultimate Phoenix as well as the man Nigel defeated two weeks ago, Brendan Idol.

• Not to be out done with the main event, Sawyer has set up the high profile match of Westybrook & former TCW wrestler Stevie Grayson. After sending Mario Heroic packing can the Iron Man do the same to the newcomer Grayson? Also on the card is ADB facing off against Bradford Peverell, the A of T&A, Ashley, taking on Jefferson Stardust, and the newly crowned NEO World Tag Team champions, Jaime Quinn & Jared Johnson, put their titles on the line against former champions Sensationally Powerful and the patriotic team of Jim Force & Masked Patriot aka Team America.

Quick Picks

NEO Generation: Brendan Idol vs. Dark Star vs. Nigel Svensson © vs. Ultimate Phoenix

Tim Westybrook vs. Stevie Grayson

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Bradford Peverell

Ashley vs. Jefferson Stardust

NEO World Tag Team: Jaime Quine & Jared Johnson © vs. Team America vs. Sensationally Powerful

I don't know what it was that made everything click in the last couple of hours. Maybe it was the three highly respected posters that commented after I posted my first NEO update in over a month, maybe it was the fact I don't have to write up matches at all (something I have always had trouble with), and maybe it was the fact I noticed just how many people liked to read this diary, 7,200+ views with only 237 posts. This is surprisingly comparable to some of the greatest TEW'08 diaries (IMO), BoomKing's The Kid and The Business, McShamrock's Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling: DaVE's not here, and one of my personal favorites d_w_w's HGC (Cverse97): Hollyweird meets Hollywood! Personally I don't think that this diary is to their standards, but it's like the DotM awards it's just nice to get nominated. ;) There of course is the added bonus of having a realistic shot at cracking into the first page in terms of posts. But for whatever number of reasons my interest to actually play the NEO game has grown to the point to where I am not just editing these shows to post them. I am editing them to remind myself what I was doing so I can figure out where I want to go from here.

In short, NEO Championship Wrestling lives!

If that's the case, then it backs up what I thought that the first time you "officially" pair up a tag team you will always get any chemistry note. Any other times then there's only a certain % chance of getting it. I guess tag chemistry just isn't as easy to spot as singles.

Quick Picks

NEO Generation: Brendan Idol vs. Dark Star vs. Nigel Svensson © vs. Ultimate Phoenix

I see no reason to stop this reign

Tim Westybrook vs. Stevie Grayson

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Bradford Peverell

Ashley vs. Jefferson Stardust

NEO World Tag Team: Jaime Quine & Jared Johnson © vs. Team America vs. Sensationally Powerful

Despite the poor chemistry, I reckon they've got a couple of match run in them.

I'm a highly respected poster? What are these boards coming to? ;)

I was sad to see Singh at only an E- popularity, I felt he should be higher than that.

Due to the compliment I feel compelled to post my predictions. Mostly because my predictions are generally seen as never right but often entertaining.

NEO Generation: Brendan Idol vs. Dark Star vs. Nigel Svensson © vs. Ultimate Phoenix

- Really tempted to go with Idol who I feel could be the one to dethrone Svensson but when Svensson won it I said I'd back the accidental transitional (oops booking mistake) champ until he lost the title so there we go.

Tim Westybrook vs. Stevie Grayson

- Stevie Ringrust will bump and do the job as that's all he's good for. He'll make Westybrook look like a NEO equivalent of a million bucks... so I figure Westybrook will look like $397.

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Bradford Peverell

- Because ADB is the CVerse version of narcolepsia for me.

Ashley vs. Jefferson Stardust

- You will remember the name... Staaaaaardust! Or not. If he won it just wouldn't be NEO.

NEO World Tag Team: Jaime Quine & Jared Johnson © vs. Team America vs. Sensationally Powerful

- Zero chemistry = zero successful defences. Give Singh back his bling!

Thanks. Always nice to see new people/lurkers posting in diaries. It's even better when it's mine. ;)

NEO Generation: Brendan Idol vs. Dark Star vs. Nigel Svensson © vs. Ultimate Phoenix

Svensson is pretty awesome. I also somehow really like how different of a champion he is from all other American companies' which kinda adds to the uniqueness of NEO, to me. Combine that with the AWESOME Sensationally Powerful tag cha... Oh, wait, you RUINED that.

Tim Westybrook vs. Stevie Grayson

Westybrook overpowers the feeble cruiserweight, like Mary Beth Chase would overpower Quine and Johnson, IF THERE WAS ANY JUSTICE IN THE WORLD.

Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Bradford Peverell

Peverell is a SENSATIONAL fist fighter, and therefor he will win. When someone is sensational they shouldn't lose...

Ashley vs. Jefferson Stardust

Alright, maybe Stardust will lose, despite his sensational getup... But this is the sole exception to the rule.

NEO World Tag Team: Jaime Quine & Jared Johnson © vs. Team America vs. Sensationally Powerful

SENSATIONALLY POWERFUL~! This is your chance to make everything right in the world once again, foolinc!

...

So, yeah... I think Sensationally Powerful is a good pro wrestling tag team...

Nigel Svensson comes down to the ring. For the first time on NEO's main show he takes the microphone to address the crowd. He says that this year has been the greatest year of his life and that's he's glad to be your NEO Generation champion. Commissioner Jake Sawyer comes out and taunts Nigel for being boring on the mic and having a last name that isn't marketable. He tells that Nigel's been lucky for the last six months, but tonight is when his luck runs out. - D+

Notes: Nigel Svensson is improving at acting. Nigel Svensson is developing better performance skills.

Show Thoughts: First of all, thanks to everyone who predicted and/or posted. Glad to see that people still want to see this. Now back to the show. Beeker called it all so many months ago when he said that Nigel would be "Mr. Transitional Champion" and despite the odds would keep on winning. Of course all good things must come to end, and Nigel's first reign as NEO Generation champion is no exception. Nigel being the champion might have been a mistake, it ended up being an awesome mistake. Looking at the GL pop for everyone that mistake turned both Nigel and Idol into legit main eventers and really didn't hurt the more established top guys like Dark Star, Tim Westybrook, and Ultimate Phoenix. Kind of reminds me of Austin Aries first ROH World title reign in a way. Sure the kayfabe reasons for it were totally different and Nigel is a face while Aries was a heel, but both sort of came out from nowhere to win the title and both defended the title a ton of times before finally losing. Nigel might have only held on to the title for 7 months, but he defended that belt successfully 9 times, two more than Brandon Smith.

And who saw Tim Westybrook losing to a talent trade? Anyone? Guess not.

Finally, it might be the end of the line for Quine and Johnson as the tag team champions, but who cares, Jim Force is carrying NEO Championship gold! By our merchandise!!!!

Dark Star was unhappy with the loss, but as always I don't care. If I didn't make these guys unhappy they'd start getting a big head and start causing problems. Yeah, that's the ticket!
