<p>OMEGA -Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts, a small Mi-South based wrestling organization. Has been making waves the past ten months, starting in December of 1997. The then local based company owned by brothers Matt and Jeff Hardy brought in a friend to finance and book the company for them. </p><p> </p><p>

Since then they have grown to encompass the whole mid-south and they have their sights set on going expanding in the coming months to more regions. A history package was shown of these two boys Matt and Jeff Hardy. About their dream of being Wrestlers, and champs. That dream came to pass At 'Cold Front Rising' when Surge and Whisp won Tag-Team Gold together. (Whisp unmasks as does Surge) We are Matt and Jeff we are Tag-Team Champions WE ARE THE HARDY BOYZ.)

411mania.com looks back on the past year of wrestling and the big news so far

 

Well the two biggest stories are, both WCW and WWF falling to cult status over the summer. They have lost all T.V. and are surviving on P.P.V. and House shows for the time being. Also In an attempt to make things better, WCW fired Eric Bischoff hiring Jerry Jarret to replace him as head booker.

 

Also over the past several months ECW has been forced to let go several key workers, shockers include. Justin Credible, Tommy Dreamer, Devon Dudley, Spike Dudley, Sandman, and Mikey Whipwreck, but from the ashes they have picked up two new gems in Sean Waltman and Kenta Kobiyashi (who has also signed a contract with WWF)

 

The sad news this year was the Death of New Jack. Just weeks after being released by ECW he was found dead of an overduse in his New York Apartment. All of us here send our respects to the family of New Jack.

 

We would like to commended OMEGA, OVW, IWA-MID-South, BCW, ECWA, GAEA Japan, and JAPW. For all growing when the big 3 in America and the big 2 in Japan have had a lot of trouble this year.
