[T-Rex's attack on Art Reed is shown to kick things off here on USPW American Wrestling.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/Liberty.jpg

["Miracle Man...Your Miracle Man...Your Miracle Man...Your Miracle Man...Your..."

'Save Me' by Overkill begins the show within the arena as 'Liberty' James Justice steps out and takes in the crowd reaction. Justice smiles and heads toward the ring, being handed a microphone before he steps inside.]

James Justice

"DUDES! Tomorrow night is Independence Slam and we are looking at a huge event, including my match with that nasty dude Jay Chord. Jay Dude, we all know about your family history but you're going to be stepping inside the ring with a man with a history all of his own. I am a former USPW World Champion. Do you really think you can beat me, dude?"

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/JayChord.jpg

[The crowd boos as Jay Chord steps out from the back and James shakes his head as Jay makes his way down. Jay slides into the ring and asks for a microphone of his own and is given one.]

Jay Chord

"Do I think that I can beat you? Do you know who my father is? I am the Chord Legacy. I know I can beat you. I am so confident that I can beat you that at Independence Slam if I lose to you I will leave USPW for 30 days."

James Justice

"If you want to leave the company, dude, then just walk away. You don't have to put on this show."

Jay Chord

"I'm not gonna be going anywhere."

[James and Jay come nose-to-nose and a horde of wrestlers comes out and breaks things up between the two before they can go to blows.]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/CaptainUSA.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/BrucetheGiant.jpg

Captain USA vs. Bruce The Giant

[Not a great match despite the chemistry between USA and Giant. Bruce was mostly dominant within this match with Captain USA getting in little offense. Bruce hit USA with the Giant Choke Slam and got the pinfall victory.]

Winner: Bruce The Giant

Match Rating: D

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/SamStrong.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/T-Rex_alt1.jpg

[backstage, Sam Strong approached T-Rex and told him that because of the volatile nature of tonight's show already he is giving T-Rex the night off and he doesn't want to see him in the arena again or there will be dire consequences.]

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/FumihiroOta_alt15.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/NickyChampion_FIN5.jpg

Top Contenders Match

Fumihiro Ota vs. Hawkeye

[This match is a top contenders match for the USPW World Television Title. This was slightly better than the last match as both men got in some good shots and it was a fairly open contest. Ota managed to avoid a Hawkeye Hammer and shot Hawkeye in the eyes with the mist! He tripped him up with a back sweep and made the cover, getting his feet on the ropes: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winner: Fumihiro Ota

Match Rating: D+

[Ota put the boots to Hawkeye following the match, waiting for him to rise -- NINJA STRIKE! The crowd booed Ota heavily...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/ErikStrong.jpg

[Then rose in cheers as Erik Strong came running from the back! Strong swung the television title at Ota and sent the challenger running from the ring! Strong checked on Hawkeye, who pushed him away. Strong looked confused as Hawkeye rolled out of the ring, grabbing his baseball bat and walking through the crowd.]

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/SteveFlash.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/JayChord.jpg

Steve Flash vs. Jay Chord

[both of these men will have big matches at USPW Independence Slam and they meet one on one here on USPW American Wrestling. The match is around an average graded out as compared to all other matches and it is the great chemistry between the two that really elevates this. Travis Century came down to ringside during the match. Century hit Steve Flash behind the referee's back and this set up the Cradle Piledriver by Jay Chord and the three count.]

Winner: Jay Chord

Match Rating: C

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/ChampagneLover.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/Liberty.jpg

Antonio Maxi Marquez vs. James Justice

[The crowd was excited as always to see one of their favorites: 'Liberty' and it showed within this match as the fans were on the edges of their seats during this entire contest. Antonio Maxi Marquez really showed the fans something in his first contest here in USPW. He hit Justice with everything that he had but in the end it was a Liberation Slam and a three count for James Justice in this above average match.]

Winner: James Justice

Match Rating: C+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/JayChord.jpg

[Following the contest, no one was surprised to see Jay Chord make his presence known and felt with an attack from behind on James Justice. Justice fought back though and ended up knocking chord out of the ring before he played to the crowd for a moment.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/ArtReed.jpg

[backstage, a pretaped interview was shown with the USPW World Champion 'Pure Athlete' Art Reed.]

Art Reed

"Pure Athlete. That's not just a title. That's something that I earned. I earned it by being the best athlete to never do drugs, drink or smoke or anything else that people do that distracts them from their goals. I worked hard all my life and now that hard work has paid off because I have another title to add to my name: USPW World Champion. T-Rex, you think you can punk me? You think that you roided up freak can do anything to the Pure Athlete? You ain't nothing to me. And at Independence Slam, you're gonna learn why I say that being a Pure Athlete means I'm better than you."

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/ArtReed.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/JackAvatar.jpg

Non Title

Art Reed vs. Jack Avatar

[And our main event was just as engaging as the last match as these two started off with some technical wizardry that ended in several stalemates. Reed started getting the advantage and held it midway through the match, wearing down on Jack Avatar. He tossed Avatar out of the ring and rammed him into the guardrail. He tossed Avatar back into the ring and got a two count on a pinfall attempt.

Avatar reversed a waistlock attempt and brought Reed back in a German Suplex plus bridge: 1 -- 2 -- KICKOUT! Avatar started firing back on Reed but the comeback was mightily short-lived as Reed used a rake of the eyes to set up the Dread Lock. It only took about twenty seconds for Avatar to give up when in that hold.]

Winner: Art Reed

Match Rating: C+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/T-Rex_alt1.jpg

[The crowd was shocked as T-Rex began making his way through the crowd toward the ring. But no one was more shocked than the Pure Athlete! Reed beat a hasty retreat, grabbing his belt and exiting the ring, running toward the back while looking over his shoulder. The Jurassic Power stood tall within the ring and beat his chest, posing to cheers from the crowd as the show came to a close with T-Rex making the belt motion at his waist.]

It's time for Independence Slam and what a lineup we have set up for you!

Our Main Event will see USPW World Champion Art Reed defend that belt against the former Champion The Jurassic Power T-Rex. Will technical skill overcome power or will the Jurassic Power put out the lights on Art Reed's title win?

Jay Chord added a big stipulation to his match with James Justice in that if he doesn't win, he will leave USPW for 30 days! Can Jay Chord stick around or will Justice prevail?

Both Fumihiro Ota and the Ace Express earned their title shots in big wins. Will either title change hands?

What does Travis Century have in store for Steve Flash when he gets to pick the stipulations?

Plus more action!

USPW World Television Title Match: Erik Strong defends vs. Fumihiro Ota

Hardcore Match: USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Dirty White Boys defend vs. The Ace Express

USPW Women's Title Match: Alicia Strong defends vs. Cherry Bomb

Travis Picks The Stipulations: Travis Century vs. Steve Flash

What Stipulations Will Century Choose:

Steel Cage Match: Jim Force vs. Bruce The Giant

If Jay Loses, He Leaves USPW For 30 Days: Jay Chord vs. James Justice

USPW World Title Match: Art Reed defends vs. T-Rex

What is USPW's current product? I know that, with the old product, women's wrestling in your diary definitely had a hard time breaking the D+ mark.

I definitely made some product tweeks throughout the diary. Here is my current product:

Traditional: Key Feature

Mainstream: Heavy

Comedy: Low

Cult: None

Risque: None

Modern: Medium

Realism: Low

Hyper Realism: None

Hardcore: Low

Lucha Libre: None

The way I sort of validate the product change is the talents of the Booker. Jack Avatar is a pretty talented wrestler so he would want to infuse a little more wrestling into the program as a way to get people over.

Okay, mate, I haven't read very far in yet and will be continuing to catch up. However, straight off the bat, I love your style. It's exactly the kind of tongue-and-cheek I'm going for in MoSC and I think you've nailed a lot of comical preconceptions of the USPW product.

As I say, I'll keep reading to get involved in the stories but your narration and presentation are flawless!

He took advantage after advantage, shortcut after shortcut. However, Justice, like usual, would not completely stay down. Chord started getting frustrated and thought about using a chair. How do I know he thought about it? Because he went to ringside and got one and brought it into the ring with him! But the referee warned him about getting DQed and all so he eventually dropped the chair. But this enabled Justice to start making his comeback. The chants of Dude filled the air as Justice hit the DUDE Knee Drop! Justice got coiled and waited, waited, waited for Chord to get to his feet. Chord turned right into a Liberation Slam! The crowd cheered as Justice made the cover and sent Chord packing for 30 days!]

Winner: James Justice

Match Rating: C+

[Following the match, Chord looked frustrated and the crowd did the 'na na na na' thing with the help of 'Liberty' and Chord just shook his head and left with his tail between his legs. That's right, the Pure Athlete is right here and defending the belt against the Jurassic Power. Since none of those worked, they decided to actually wrestle.

Well, the wrestling part is actually debatable since, well, they did a lot of tripping over each other and several botched moves that would make me long to have Big Smack Scott here in USPW. It was a fairly clean match though much to everyone's surprise. The Jurassic Power missed a spear during the match but Art Reed sold it anyway like he was hit by a cannonball. The match wasn't a total downer though as it was only slightly below average for what a wrestling fan might expect. T-Rex got some two counts and all and so did Art Reed. The crowd wondered just who would walk away with the victory.
