My List of Thank You's

<hr color="black">

BigPapa42: I don't even know where to start, PA. You were there from the very beginning... Always willing to listen to my theories, my questions, my rambling... It was you who helped get this project off the ground as I had NO IDEA how to go about developing a successful dynasty. Your SWF project was a great motivator for me as I was in complete awe of the "world" you were able to create. It was that fine detail that pushed me to take my time, constructing my vision of PSW far before I even posted for the first time. Honestly, You were an amazing source of inspiration from the very start and for that I thank you. I think that's why It seems so very fitting to have my first EVER DOTM award be a tie with you and one of your projects. It couldn't have ended up more perfect.

I was honored to help out in any way I could. As I always said, I was more than happy to help out in any way I could. It made for a unique experience for me, as I felt more invested in this diary and that only added to my enjoyment. It was also an honor to share a DOTM.

The end of this saddens me, as much as I understand it. It was a great ride, EV, and I really hope you find a project on 2010 that you can breathe the same kind of life into.

Well, not much else to say. :(

I'll miss reading this. Your "novel" esque approach was right up my ally as far as types of books I enjoy. Which is why my top reads on the boards are (were) this one, Casey's "10 Simpe Rules, (The JC Chronicles... :D ) and the David Mack Chronicles.

Your approach to fleshing out the characters and out of the ring stories were a delight to read.

Anyways, all the accolades and "Thank You's" you receive are well deserved. I look forward to future "Dude, I know you're busy, but..." PM's about title renders for another project. Hopefully you won't keep us waiting too long.

Thank You,

R

<p>Its sad to see this all coming to an end but at the same time we all understand the struggles of keeping a top notch dynasty going strong. You really tapped into something great with PSW, John Greed, and your characterization of the evolution, as well, of Mitch Naess. A very cool story if you ask me!</p><p> </p><p>

It would be great to see you put together another dynasty after the next game comes out. I especially would really enjoy the idea of setting your next dynasty to start at a time after when your last PSW game ended as it would give the rise of John Greed one more go. As you said it could set you apart from other dynasties since it would be a consistent thing that we are all use to seeing. Plus itd be great to see where you envision John would end up following his release from PSW. </p><p> </p><p>

My hat is off to you, EV. Bravo on a beautiful piece of writing! Here's to hoping you create another one in the future.</p>

I love the fact that we actually shared few great ideas and gimmicks suggestions aswell via PM and so on.. Now that this is ending I'm gonna withdraw few for future use, hah! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

The general noise from a crowd of travelers drown out the sound from said TV, however, it appeared that the newscaster was relaying a story quite fitting for the situation at hand. The middle-aged, salt-and-peppered haired, figure before me spoke of the rising unemployment rates in the United States at this point in our nations history. The percent was nothing but an afterthought, however, it was the very fact that I, too, found myself out of work that brought the scenario "home". </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> Two Years.... Two long years where my everyday being was focused primarily on the development of a struggling "Steel City" promotion. Attempting to do the "unthinkable" by making a "hardcore-based product" profitable. Sure, such a product often warrants an engaging, and quite grungy, form of entertainment... However, when it comes down to the bottom line... You're often left with pennies on the dollar. Something that I came to know quite well during my elongated tenure with Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> When I originally took the position I was quite "green". Okay, not so much "green" as not knowing f*cking anything about putting together a match... Let alone... An entire show! Now, nearly 730 days later... Here I was, a bona fide booker.... Sadly enough, though, a "bona fide booker without a damn job". </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> So, As I shuffled my feet ever so slightly toward the gathering of Illinois-bound travelers... I knew that a chapter in my life had come to pass. I was leaving behind years of memories with a company that was, some would say, "stupid enough" to take on a no-name booker in which to generate a sense of newness.... A fact that I am so very thankful for. Sure, Mitch and I didn't really care for eachother... But, with that being said, I will forever thank him for giving me an opportunity to prove myself following the HELL that was my injury, my following depression, substance abuse, and rehab stint. It was a ****ty past scenario... but it was MY scenario... MY life... MY Blueprint... And now, as PSW fades off in the distance, my life shifts toward a new stage of transition... </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> ... One that starts with me heading back home for a few months to clear my head... Survey what is "next" for me, both, professionally and personally... </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> Leaving behind a sh*tty apartment, a paycheck that was always considered to be quite laughable, and a former place of employment... A company that I grew to love over my tenure....</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> A company....</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> That redefined the definition of "Hardcore Wrestling"...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> So, as I took my final steps on the hallowed ground of the "Steel City"... I knew that this stage.... This two year period of my life... Will forever go down as one of the more challenging, yet rewarding, destructive, yet uplifting, sanity-testing, yet character developing, moments in my lifetime. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> I may leave Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling behind...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> However...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> The memories will forever live within my heart, and mind, as I move toward a new scenario in life... A new challenge that will, almost certainly, pose itself in the coming days... weeks... or months... </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> But I will have known that it all started here.... On the grounds of the "Steel City", within the walls of "The Ministry", and under the banner of </span><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><strong><em>Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling</em></strong></span><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">.</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Logos/PSW_alt2.jpg</span><p> <span style="font-size:8px;">Viva La Revolution</span></p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p>Thank you for all that you brought with this dynasty E-V. What a powerful piece of work; from beginning to end. Its sad to see this come to a close but it was a great run while you were able to make it happen. 6 months is definetly a long time period as it was 6 months of a well thought out story. </p><p> </p><p>

One last time E-V. My hats off to you.</p>

Ooooooooh !

I can't wait to see what will be John Greed next adventure !

OMG!

This is reason enough for me open this bottle of fizzy water!

Great news. :D

Mr. Orange,

Enjoy that Fizzy Water. It's the "Drink of Champions". ;)

Mr. Onu,

I have a whole concept for this next diary that has took much time to develop thus far. I'm not entirely done, by any means, at this point, However, when it all comes together... John Greed will be tackling an innovative scenario in the US Pro Wrestling Scene. :D

Man I was hoping for 4C!

My guess would be either a Tri State promotion or the NYCW!

Thought I would help you in a push to get 1000 replies, as I told you before, you know I am looking forward to this new diary.

Mr. BHK,

I can't say that I'm not a little happier that I see the number climbing closer to 1,000 posts (especially a few months removed from this project's end). That said, Thank you for your endless support. You've been "along for the ride" for quite some time now. So, I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate it.

Mr. Mystery,

I, funny enough, was certainly looking into 4C for quite some time, however, they didn't have everything that I wanted. Plus, while Canada can be played like any continent really, I've never been... So, I'm afraid as a Writer I would be writing about an environment that I've never witnessed before. That was a big part (Among other things) that kept me from 4C.

There's a chance, though, that the original database may be only a handcuff... ;)

I am not sure that really matters, I have only been to Montreal and Toronto once each (would really like to see Vancouver and Ottawa), and I have created two Canadian promotions in Kobe's Community-Verse mod.:D All you have to do is have the Americans start an anti-Canadian stable, it works like a charm no matter what country you live in.

True, as a writer though... I really like to be able to visualize the environment. The better that I understand the people who live within that area, how the buildings are laid out, how everyone interacts with eachother... The better that I can create an overall image for the company & those within it.

So, my version of Canada would just be a bunch of snow... Log Houses... And Maple Syrup. haha. That's what I take away from Canada. Oh yea, and that and Free Health Care. ;)

I'm getting quite "itchy" for this new diary to start, however, i'm giving myself some time to plan everything out so there are no wholes what so ever. That and I actually have to buy the full game. ha.
