Asistencia Asesoría y Administración 2009: Let's Try This One More Time

Recommended Posts

My first attempt was lackluster because I was still fairly new to how the company booked TV, and I kind of trashed the main event angle, so I figured I'd call a mulligan, and here we are.

Starts in September, so here are the results to the Verano de Escandalo (Happens 8/21) card:

1. The Psycho Circus (Killer Clown/Psycho Clown/Zombie Clown) defeated Los Yakuza (Oriental/Takuya Sugi/Kenzo Suzuki)

2. 5 Way Dance for the AAA Cruiserweight Title: Teddy Hart defeated Extreme Tiger ©, Jack Evans, Rocky Romero, and Alex Koslov to win the championship.

3. Tables & Chairs Match for the AAA Tag Titles: Joe Lider & Nicho el Millionario © defeated Elegido & Gronda II

4. Marco Corleone/Octagon/La Parka Jr. defeated Electroshock/Silver King/Ultimo Gladiador

5. Street Fight: Chessman defeated Charly Manson

6. Steel Cage Match where the last person must shave or unmask: Sexi Star, Fabi Apache, and Billy Boy beat Aero Star; Aero Star unmasked.

7. 3 Way Steel Cage Match for the AAA Mega Heavyweight Title: Cibernetico beat Dr. Wagner Jr. © and El Mesias with the help of El Zorro to win the championship

Lucha Libre Week 1 September 2009:

The show opens with Verano de Escandalo recaps (the show aired in two parts the previous weeks)

[RECAP - Chessman b Charly Manson [street]]

[RECAP - Cibernetico b Dr. Wagner Jr, El Mesias [AAA heavy]]

Cibernetico is shown shaking hands with Zorro in a parking lot. The two get into their respective cars, and drive away.

Back in the arena, the announcers wonder why Zorro helped his old rival Cibernetico.

1.) Fabi Apache and Gran Apache beat Billy Boy and Sexi Star in 6:12 when Fabi used a Dragon Suplex hold on Billy Boy. C+

After the match, Aero Star ran in and attacked Fabi Apache, leaving her laying as Billy Boy and Sexi Star restrained Gran Apache.

[NOTI AAA - Dr. Wagner Jr. has issued a mano-a-mano challenge to Cibernetico, saying that he is disgraced that Cibernetico resorted to cheating to regain the AAA World Heavyweight Championship.]

2.) Teddy Hart, Electro Shock, and Silver King beat Jack Evans, La Parka, and Marco Corleone in 17:50 when Hart used the Dungeon Bomb on Evans. B-

[NOTI AAA - Zorro and Cibernetico have an agreement that if Zorro helped Cibernetico to win, that Zorro would become number one contender. AAA President Joaquin Roldan has stated that Zorro is NOT number one contender, and that he is granting Wagner his rematch for the championship. When asked where this leaves El Mesias, Roldan said that Mesias has plenty of rage for the man who cost him his championship match (Zorro), and that Mesias would be able to exact his revenge on Zorro.]

4.) [#1 contender] El Mesias beat El Zorro in 19:39 with the La Patriota. A

Cibernetico cuts a promo on Wagner Jr, saying that Wagner is a fool for thinking that the tables have been turned due to a rematch. Cibernetico says that Mesias may have been victorious, but he's beaten Mesias before. Cibernetico says that Wagner has no idea what he's done. APOCALIPSIS AHORA!

5.) [AAA heavy] Dr. Wagner Jr. beat Cibernetico © in 34:12 with the Wagner Driver II to regain the championship. B+

As Wagner celebrated, El Mesias made his way to the ring, and told Wagner that what happened at TripleMania XVII will never happen again, and that Mesias will become the Heavyweight Champion once again. Zorro runs in and lays out both champion and challenger, standing over both of them as Cibernetico looks on and the show comes to a close.

Best of luck with this. If you haven't watched Lucha Libre on Galavision check it out. I caught it a couple weeks ago and learned alot about the characters. But AAA doesn't use all these gimmick matches on TV. Furthermore, a lot of the characters are based around either death or sex appeal (Elegido/Koslov). Best of luck!

What do you mean by 'gimmick matches'? Six man tags are common place, so are normal tag matches, and they've had title matches/number one contenders matches on TV before. Hell, they air all of their big events (minus TripleMania this year for some reason) on Galavision.

My bad I misread your first post and though that the first card you posted was your first TV show, didn't realize it was the ppv! I am following, was just merely commenting (incorrectly haha).

Ah, it's cool, dude. I figured you were commenting on the TV show. Didn't mean to come off as an ass or anything.

Lucha Libre AAA Week 1 September 2009:

[RECAP; Verano de Escandalo; Cibernetico beat Dr. Wagner Jr. © and El Mesias [aaa heavy]]

We're taken to a Billy Boy promo, obviously accompanied by Sexi Star. Billy Boy says that Fabi got what she deserved when Aero Star attacked her, and that tonight, they will win again, just like at Verano de Escandalo.

http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/BillyBoy.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/SexyStar.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/MiniAbismoNegro.jpg VS. http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/FabyApache.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/Octagoncito.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/ElElegido-1.jpg

1.) Billy Boy, Sexi Star, Mini Abismo Negro vs. Fabi Apache, Octagoncito, El Elegido

Match starts off with Billy Boy squaring off with Elegido. Elegido sends Billy Boy into the ropes, and hits him with a shoulderblock, sending Billy Boy back into the corner. Billy Boy tries again, to no avail. Elegido attempts a bearhug but gets fouled by Billy Boy, who puts him in a side headlock. Elegido eventually powers out and sends Billy Boy to the outside, bringing in Mini Abismo Negro, which in turn brings in Octagoncito. Essentially, they've worked this match a million times before. Abismo played a good mini rudo here, and almost put Octagoncito away with the Martinete Special. Sexi Star and Fabi ended up getting a decent amount of time, and Star was (pun intended) the star of the match, playing the flirtatious ruda with the males on the tecnico team. Finish came when Billy Boy hit Fabi Apache with the sitout powerbomb at 10:17.

WINNERS: Billy Boy, Sexi Star, and Mini Abismo Negro. Rating: C+

[NOTI AAA] Jesus Zuniga recaps the main event of yesterday's AAA broadcast on Televisa. The match saw Cibernetico lose his AAA Mega Heavyweight Championship in his first defense to former Heavyweight Champion Dr. Wagner Jr. Jesus then goes on to talk about Mesias' promo following the match, and Zorro laying everyone out. Zuniga wonders out loud if Mesias and Wagner will be able to concentrate on each other with the inevitable threat of Zorro and Cibernetico looming over their heads.

El Zorro is shown in a parking lot, arguing with Cibernetico about his contendership for the title. Zorro says that Roldan pulled the rug from underneath the two of them, and that something needs to be done about it. Cibernetico tells Zorro that their deal is off, and walks away. Zorro vows to make Cibernetico pay.

http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/Chessman.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/TeddyHart.jpg VS http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/CharlyManson.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/JackEvans2.jpg

2.) Chessman, Teddy Hart vs. Charly Manson, Jack Evans

This match has happened a handful of times already in 2009, so you know what to expect going in. Los Hellbrothers EXPLODE as Charly Manson and Chessman start off. Chessman offers a handshake, and Manson looks to the crowd for approval, but the crowd is telling him to not take the handshake. Chessman attacks Manson, sending him to the outside where the two begin to brawl around the ringside area. It's just as well, because this gives Hart and Evans the chance to showcase what they can do. Jack bumped like crazy to make Hart look good, especially on the backdrop into a sitout powerbomb which garnered the hottest near fall reaction of the night to this point. Evans hit a 630, but stood up and was speared by Chessman at 9:56.

WINNERS: Chessman and Teddy Hart. Rating: B

[GRAPHIC - Next Week: El Mesias and Cibernetico vs. Dr. Wagner Jr. and Zorro - RELEVOS INCREIBLES!]

[NOTI AAA] Jesus Zuniga returns to confirm that yes, Mesias and Cibernetico will face Wagner Jr. and Zorro next week here on Lucha Libre AAA. He also mentions that President Joaquin Roldan has thrown out the deal between Cibernetico and Zorro regarding Zorro's contendership, despite Zorro having an opportunity to gain contendership yesterday. Roldan is then shown via satellite, and he says that Mesias will get a mano-a-mano rematch with Wagner at a later date, but it will be after these issues are resolved.

[NOTI AAA; Cont.] Konnan is in the studio. He says that La Legion Extranjera have been scouting talent from all around the world, from Canada, to England, to Japan, to the USA. He says that they will continue to grow stronger, and regain control of AAA.

[NEXT - MAIN EVENT!]

http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/DrWagner.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/SilverKing.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/Electroshock.jpg VS http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/LaParka.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/MarkJindrak.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/ElMesias.jpg

3.) La Wagnermania (Dr. Wagner Jr, Silver King, Electro Shock) vs. La Parka, Marco Corleone, El Mesias

Crowd is absolutely HOT for Wagner during his entrance, making it clear that he is the absolute favorite in this match, so why is he teaming with rudos? Who knows, or cares. Wagner starts off teasing the crowd by pointing to Mesias and requesting that Mesias tag in. He complies, and the two begin working the mat (yeah, working the mat) and the crowd is obviously still behind Wagner. He sends Mesias into the ropes, Mesias with a shoulderblock, Wagner doesn't budge. The crowd erupts, Mesias tries it again, Wagner doesn't budge, the crowd is getting hotter and hotter. Mesias tries again, but Electro Shock pulls down the bottom rope, sending Mesias to the outside. Some miscommunication between Wagner and Electro Shock, which La Parka takes advantage of, but his beef is with Silver King. Parka and Silver King duke it out until Electro Shock deems it fit to come in and nail Parka from behind. They begin setting up the tombstone spot from Rey de Reyes, minus a table, and minus it being on the apron. Mesias breaks up the attempt, and Cibernetico's theme song hits and he makes his way to the ring. This provides an obvious distraction to Mesias, who is rolled up by Silver King at 22:34.

WINNERS: Dr. Wagner Jr, Silver King, and Electro Shock. Rating: A

After the match, Cibernetico gets on the mic and tells Mesias that he isn't worthy of the AAA Mega Heavyweight Championship, and that Mesias is just leeching off of Cibernetico's legacy. Cibernetico challenges Mesias to a match right now, the crowd pops. Mesias grabs the mic, but this is interrupted by Zorro. Zorro reminds Cibernetico that Cibernetico holds the record for the shortest Heavyweight Championship reign, and that Zorro is more worthy a contender to Wagner than Mesias or Cibernetico. Wagner says he'll gladly fight all three of them so that they can quit bickering like a bunch of women. Mesias slugs Wagner, and Cibernetico runs in and joins in. Zorro comes in with the cane and commences cleaning house until Silver King and Electro Shock make the save for Wagner, but nobody really knows what the hell's happened to Parka/Corleone. La Wagnermania runs off Wagner's three potential challengers, and stand supreme to end the show.

--- FINAL VERDICT ---

A very solid episode of AAA TV from beginning to end, and with this being their debut episode, this was the impression they needed to make on fans. This could very well be leading to a four way at a future date for the Mega Heavyweight Championship, which could be very good for business. Opening match was definitely a great choice, but no Aero Star run-in makes you question where they're taking that angle, if they're taking it anywhere.

Lucha Libre Week 2 September 2009:

Key:

Red = Rudos

Green = Tecnicos

[RECAP - AAA on FSE; La Wagnermania (Dr. Wagner Jr, Silver King, Electro Shock) b. La Parka, Marco Corleone, El Mesias]

Lucha Libre opens with Jesus Zuniga and NOTI AAA. Zuniga goes over how the debut episode on Fox Sports Espanol went, and says that things are boiling over in the Mega Heavyweight Division as Zorro continues to make known that he wants to challenge for Dr. Wagner's Mega Heavyweight Championship, and the former champions in Cibernetico and Mesias are also gunning for Wagner. Joaquin Roldan has announced that Mesias' challenge to Wagner takes immediate priority as he won the contender's match, and that match will happen at a later date.

[RECAP - Last week; Aero Star attacked Fabi Apache]

Aero Star cuts a promo on Fabi Apache, blaming her for him losing his mask at Verano de Escandalo. Aero Star says that she only ever cared about herself, and that she lead him on. Aero Star says that she will not go unpunished.

[NOTI AAA] Jesus Zuniga is back to update us on the situation between Zorro and Cibernetico has reached a boiling point, as the two were found brawling outside the arena earlier in the night. Joaquin Roldan has stated that the two of them are walking a very thin line, and suspensions may be handed out if they don't settle their problems in the ring.

http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/BillyBoy.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/SuperFly-1.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/SexyStar.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/PolvoDeEstrellas.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/MiniAbismoNegro.jpg

VS

1.) Billy Boy, Aero Star (Yes, I know the picture is Super Fly), Sexi Star, Polvo de Estrellas, Mini Abismo Negro vs. El Elegido, Gronda, Fabi Apache, Pimpinela Escarlata, Octagoncito

Brilliant move, AAA booking team. Let's add Gronda, Aero Star, and two exoticos to the opening match from the FSE debut show. Essentially, this was the same match, but they teased Aero Star going after Fabi a lot in this match, but his attempts were always cut off by Gronda or Elegido. On that note, why wasn't Gran Apache in this match? Anyways, Billy Boy and Elegido started off essentially the same as the FSE debut show, and it lead to the exoticos this time instead of the minis. Some decent comedy stuff before it was handed over to Fabi and Sexi Star to bring it on home at 18:44 when Fabi hit Aero Star (yeah, the only real interation they had) with a Dragon Suplex.

WINNERS: El Elegido, Gronda, Fabi Apache, Piminela Escarlata, and Octagoncito. Rating: C

After the fall, Joe Lider and Nicho ran in and attacked Gronda and Elegido. Mini Abismo and Octagoncito continued to brawl, and Billy Boy/Sexi Star/Aero Star attacked Fabi until Gran Apache and Mari Apache made the save.

[NOTI AAA] Jesus Zuniga is back to tell us that there will be a Copa Antonio Pena this October! Yay! Basically it's a huge gauntlet for the Antonio Pena cup, and the only one they've ever had was won by Charly Manson, who is announced as the #1 entrant into the gauntlet.

http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/DarkCuervo.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/DarkEspiritu.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/DarkOzz.jpg VS http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/SeanWaltman.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/RockyRomero.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/CharlyManson.jpg

2.) La Secta (Dark Cuervo, Dark Espiritu, Dark Ozz) vs. X-Pac, Rocky Romero, Charly Manson

So D-Mex as we knew them at TripleMania is back for one match only! Zorro looks on from the stage (I thought he was in a feud with Cibernetico, Wagner, and Mesias?) as X-Pac starts off against Cuervo. X-Pac backs him into the corner, spin kick, attempts a bronco buster, Cuervo slides out under the bottom rope. In comes Manson, and there he goes with a dive and the match breaks down into ten kinds of clusterf*cked and it never seems to recover. Zorro stays at the top of the ramp until the end when he jumps to the apron and tries to whip the kendo stick at a restrained X-Pac, who ducks, so the cane hits Escoria, who then is hit with an X-Factor at 9:49, and that was all she wrote.

WINNERS: X-Pac, Rocky Romero, and Charly Manson. C+

[GRAPHIC - Gronda/Elegido vs. Nicho/Lider for the AAA World Tag Team Championships this week on FSE!]

We're taken to a Mesias promo. He's angry because Cibernetico and Zorro won't keep their noses out of his business, and that's keeping him from getting a title shot. He says that he'll dispose of Zorro and Cibernetico this week, even though he is forced to team with Ciber. He then says that Wagner's time is limited, and that the AAA Mega Heavyweight Championship will return to El Mesias.

[RECAP; Last week - El Mesias b. El Zorro [contenders]]

http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/AlexKoslov.jpg VS http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/AlanStone.jpg VS http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/ExtremeTiger.jpg VS http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/JackEvans2.jpg

3.) [contenders] Alex Koslov vs. Alan Stone vs. Xtreme Tiger vs. Jack Evans

And we have a Cruiserweight Championship contenders match here with probably the most predictable of winners. Evans is the crowd favorite here with Alan Stone right behind him. Evans sought to bring the pain early so as to not drag the match out longer than needed. Koslov went right after Alan Stone, which sort of makes sense, eliminating Stone at 6:22. Koslov was eliminated right after by Evans via an inside cradle. Final two had some interesting high spots, such as Xtreme Tiger actually *gasp* hitting a dive! Evans missed a 630 and got caught with a Superkick. That gets a two count. The two battle around ringside, the crowd's still hot. Tiger eventually sets up a top-rope Spanish Fly, but Evans pushes him from the top and hits the 630 at 22:18 for the victory.

WINNER: Jack Evans. Rating: B-

After the match, Teddy Hart cuts a promo (in English), telling Evans that he's going to be finished once and for all when they get in the ring. Evans responds in Spanish saying that he carried Teddy all these years, and he's going to take Teddy out, and you KNOW THIS, men!

[NOTI AAA] Jesus Zuniga, more energetic than usual, announces that another name has been announced for the Copa Antonio Pena in October in Chessman! He will begin the tournament squaring off with old friend, and rival, Charly Manson.

[NEXT - Cibernetico and Chessman vs. Mesias and Charly Manson!]

http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/Cibernetico.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/Chessman.jpg VS http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/ElMesias.jpghttp://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/wakigatame-2010/CharlyManson.jpg

4.) Cibernetico, Chessman vs. El Mesias, Charly Manson

Cibernetico starts with Mesias, and the crowd is firmly in the corner of Mesias. The two lock up, Mesias with a go-behind. He takes Ciber to the mat, but Ciber escapes, realizing this isn't the same Mesias he fought last year at Rey de Reyes. The match progresses with the story that Charly is hesitant to fight either of his Los Hellbrothers comrades, and Mesias is starting to lose patience with Manson. Cibernetico drags Manson into the ring and hits him with a Stunner, Mesias breaks up the pin and hits Cibernetico with the Straight To Hell. Chessman spears Mesias at 15:20 to win the bout for the rudos.

WINNERS: Cibernetico and Chessman. Rating: B+

Dr. Wagner promo. He urges Roldan to give him all three challengers in the same match, because he wants to prove that he's the greatest Heavyweight in all of Mexico. Wagner says he wants to protect the honor of the title, and he can't do that unless all three of the challengers are wiped out. Wagner ends the promo saying that he'll fight all three of them any time, anywhere.

[NEXT WEEK - La Parka, Marco Coreleone, and El Elegido vs. La Wagnermania!]

The show ends with a music video recapping all of the bouts from tonight.
