Recommended Posts

After a dreadful 2009 for WWE, 2010 could only get better. It is currently January 1st 2010 and the royal rumble is only 4 weeks away. Here is a quick review of what happened on each show since Breaking Point 2009 with a list of the current champions and the roster.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a188/homicide2455/WWE%20Game/RawLogo.png

2009 was a great year for Randy Orton. He managed to retain his title against John Cena at Breaking point and Hell in a Cell before defeating HBK at Bragging right and both members of DX at Survivor Series and finally defeating HBK, HHH and John Cena in a fatal 4 way at Armageddon.

The guest host idea was scrapped just after hell in a cell when Teddy Long was moved to RAW to be the GM.

At Breaking Point 2009, Chris Masters interfered in a title match between William Regal and Christian. On ECW he revealed he was sick of being overlooked for title shots on RAW, so he spoked to Tiffany and he moved to ECW. At Hell in a Cell, Masters went onto win the ECW title. After losing his rematch at Bragging rights, Christian challenged Masters to a loser leaves ECW match which was accepted. At Survivor Series Masters defeated Christian and so Christian was forced to leave ECW. Masters went onto defend his title against Dreamer at Armageddon.

After MyNetworkTV went bust in September 2009, MTV decided to jump at the chance of getting Smackdown. Smackdown was getting constant high rating all the way through 2009 and so MTV saw this as a great move.

Since Teddy Long moved to RAW, smackdown was without a GM, and at survivor series it was announced that the SD GM was Stephanie McMahon

At breaking point 2009 CM Punk managed somehow to walk away with his title when he faced The Undertaker. However, he wasn't so lucky when the two faced off at Hell in a Cell and Undertaker defeated CM Punk and won the title. since then he has defended it against Matt Hardy at Bragging Rights when he won the viewers vote and then CM Punk at both Survivor Series and Armageddon.

The Smackdown after Survivor Series, Christian made a shock appearance. He said that since the match he lost was only loser leaves ECW, he is now a member of the Smackdown roster. Christian was then interrupted by Chris Jericho and the Big show. They both threw insults at Christian which then led to a brawl. Stephanie McMahon then made her first match as SD GM, which was Christian vs Chris Jericho at Armageddon. Christian won this match when Big Show interfered.
