captainlou
That's the first time I've seen a bunch of near-falls that were entirely submissions. Definitely a neat dynamic. Holy crap, did you move quickly from the first fall to the second. I suppose you could say that Embry tried to fight off the claw too long, and had nothing left in the tank. I always loved when commentators said that it might be a good idea to submit quickly, so that you're not drained for later falls. Perhaps that strategy would have worked here. Or maybe I'm just a dumb mark. Great to see the Million Dollar Man in the WWF. Him feuding with a babyface Ric Flair would definitely be something worth seeing. Embry didn't really have much left after Mark got his first fall. With CWF locating their shows in different parts of the country, and not just the south east, Mark is getting a little bit more exposure in those sections where the popularity grade is low, like Puerto Rico (WWC), Mid-Atlantic (MACW) and Tri State (WWF). That should certainly help Mark's cause when I try again to get into a cult sized promotion. I hope that you had something soft to sit on because the 2/3 fall tag match took what seemed like forever to play out.
Greg McNeish
That was a heartbreaker of a loss. Mark & Tito picked up where they left off their last tag match, following the same strategy, with the same result in the first fall. Adonis showed just how tough he was by hanging with both of you, and capitalizing on Tito's crash and burn. That ending was just brutal. Mark sits up, and rises to his feet, just in time for Rip to plant him brain-first into the mat, as soon as he entered the ring. There's definitely no shame in losing a 40-minute B match. The future of the Tex-Mex Sensations looks bright, if you can ever convince the powers that be in Portland to give you guys a shot. You're absolutely right about CWF. Heck, if they keep this up, they just might end up as a Cult promotion.

Greg McNeish
You're back! I was worried there, for a couple days. Wouldn't want to lose my only prospective reader.... I finally got my copy of WS2, and have a couple weeks in the bag with Bret Hart. I'm just figuring out the presentation stuff, and then the diary is on the way. Hopefully that will be all sorted out in the next couple days, and it can hit the boards this weekend. Cheers!

Greg McNeish
Big win over Michael Hayes there. You looked good throughout the match. You grabbed the early momentum, and played enough defense that Hayes was never able to really get his legs under him. That was a great finish, too, with the clothesline being countered into the bear hug. That's a reversal that really makes sense, and you can picture it in your mind. As a proud Canadian, it's really cool seeing all these big time players coming to the great white north. Hogan and Flair have been kicking around there for a while, and now Curt Hennig is bringing perfection to Montreal, while Tiger Mask will be flying around Maple Leaf Gardens. Fun stuff. Mark continues his winning ways in FLA with the win over P.S. Hayes to make his record 7-1. Not only are Flair and Hogan up there but so is former AWA World Heavyweight champ Nick Bockwinkel. Tiger Mask is going to be racking up lots of frequent flyer miles as he travels back and forth between Canada and Japan.
