Oh man, do I mark for The Claw busting people open. I love it when non-impact moves do it. It's so much more brutal to think that you squeezed their head so hard that you actually ruptured their skin.

What push level is Texas Red starting at in WCCW? I'm sure you mentioned it, but I'm way too lazy to go back to look.

What push level is Texas Red starting at in WCCW? I'm sure you mentioned it, but I'm way too lazy to go back to look.

The reason, I think, for the claw to bust people open is that the head had already taken enough punishment in the match that it totally wore down the health percentage for that part of the body.

(turnbuckle smash, 10 regular punches, 2 roundhouse punches, snake eyes, seated hammer (forearm across face), 2 throat thrusts, running elbow smash, 1 punch flurry & 1 iron claw))

Buddy Roberts this time around took a pounding above the shoulders but is a tough, resilient son of a gun, much like Shawn Michaels during the two Wrestlemania matches against The Undertaker.

The masked man Texas Red is an opener at WCCW. I'm thinking of possibly getting Sunshine to be his manager since Percy Pringle III is not there. Percy Pringle III, AKA William Moody & Paul Bearer, was Texas Red's manager in RL when he first entered WCCW.

The reason, I think, for the claw to bust people open is that the head had already taken enough punishment in the match that it totally wore down the health percentage for that part of the body.

Actually, unlike WS1, simply reducing your opponents Head to 0% does not automatically cause blood, in WS2. The Iron Claw is set as a move that can cause blood.

It was William Moody who called Fritz Von Erich about Mark Calaway. Fritz called his friend, Don Jardine (AKA The Spoiler), and the rest, as they say, is wrestling history.

Just to let you know, I'm going to wait until the beginning of 1988, when Mark Calaway became a wrestler full-time, to start trying to use one of the main things that Don Jardine taught Mark. If you have to guess what that was, I think that, by today's wordings, you have to go back to "school". (major hint) Don't worry, it's only just over 14 months away!

I don't know if you heard it up in Ontario, Canada, but the sound was me slamming my computer mouse to the table.

I was wondering what that was. I thought it was a little late for aftershocks from that earthquake. Speaking of which, the epicenter was only 60 km (37 1/2 mi) north of me. Holy crap, it was the real deal, man.

Anyway, that was the same reaction I had just the other day, when Bret dropped the CSW North American title to Black Angus Campbell, in September '83. Although I haven't kept up with posting in the diary (time management is my greatest weakness), I've been continuing to play the save. I'm now a Main Eventer in Toronto, and the top Upper Midcard in Montreal. Only 2 months left on those contracts, so I've got some decisions to make in the near future. I'm thinking I'll ditch both of those, and head to Portland, and probably Grand Prix, out in the Maritimes, which is the last Canadian territory I haven't pushed to a B- (still at C-).

But this thread is about your game.... :p

It looks like WCCW travels all over the country. That will make serious gains slow, but give you the chance to fill the holes in your Popularity. Good luck, big man.

It's okay. You can leave updates letting me know how Bret is doing.

Working for WCCW is also giving me popularity boosts in some of the areas in addition to the normal popularity increase or decrease depending on a win or loss, respectively.

One of the reasons that I got kinda angry after the loss to PS Hayes is because it dropped my popularity in 10 regions and lowered the popularity in the south east area back down to "B+" (from "A"). That's what I get for being a little greedy during the last part of the match. I had Hayes at the "danger" level and decided to wear down his energy to 0% rather than trying to end the match.
