NYCW: Extreme Makeover Edition

Recommended Posts

Prediction key for NYCW I Love New York:

NYCW Tri-State Regional:

American Machine vs. Land Mass

Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs. Rick Sanders

Brendan Idol vs. The Stomper

Sam Pratt vs. Black Hat Bailey

??? & Steve Flash vs. Grandmaster Phunk & Honest Frank

occ: Much shorter card, the only reason for Stomper being on the card was because Mr. Jiminez was supposed to be in this match but because of my screw up, I had to find a last minute replacement and Stomper was my only real choice at that time.

American Machine vs. Land Mass

Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs. Rick Sanders

Brendan Idol vs. The Stomper

Sam Pratt vs. Black Hat Bailey

??? & Steve Flash vs. Grandmaster Phunk & Honest Frank - I have to go the mystery man, particularly when the mystery man is a distant relative of Alex the Kidd.

American Machine vs. Land Mass

I hate Land Mass. I think I have a thing against big wrestlers who use their size for political positions.

Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs. Rick Sanders

Big fan of Sanders but an even bigger fan of BBS.

Brendan Idol vs. The Stomper

Gotta thing for wrestlers with a great upsides.

Sam Pratt vs. Black Hat Bailey

Read the match above.

??? & Steve Flash vs. Grandmaster Phunk & Honest Frank

With this being a new age and all, it could be anyone.

Don't know how I missed this one but KUTGW

A man who is always truthful, and will have your back no matter what….</p><p> </p><p> [The crowd starts up a, He‘s a liar chant. In fact he did not mention it once in that interview. I guess he, unlike you two, came to the realization that he lost his title fair and square.</p><p> </p><p> Mitch Naess: I am not even going to comment on that…Lets go down to the ring for our opening match for the Tri-State Regional title. Here is the veteran voice of the NYCW ring Marv Earnest.</p><p> </p><p> Marv Earnest: Hello wrestling fans and welcome to I Love New York 2008! Our first match-up is scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time lim-it. This match is for the Tri-State Regional title. Land Masss!</p><p> </p><p> [As Land Mass makes his way down to the ring, Herb Stately says this:]</p><p> </p><p> Herb Stately: Land Mass lost a pound since last month! I think it might me time for an intervention as the man is clearly bulimic! I mean look at him he is wasting away! He is nothing but skin and bones! Finally, they make it into the ring.]</p><p> </p><p> Marv Earnest: Gentlemen….</p><p> </p><p> [The man formerly known as Lead Belly takes the microphone from Marv Earnest and says: ]</p><p> </p><p> Daniel Elderberry: First off, don’t call us gentlemen! We work for a living! Secondly me and my partner don’t like sharing the ring with you Ken Doll. So kindly vacate the ring before we remove you by force!</p><p> </p><p> [The fans cheer as a very frightened Marv Earnest hurries out of the ring.]</p><p> </p><p> Daniel Elderberry: Now that we took care of that, I will give you all the answer as to why we came here. Six months ago we were called into the office of Richard Eisen. He told us that we were no longer needed by his company. I asked him why and he proceeded to tell us that we were not as good looking as the Biggz‘s…</p><p> </p><p> [That draws some laughs from the crowd.]</p><p> </p><p> Daniel Elderberry: We were told that we aint as good in the ring as The Samoan Wildboyz, we aint as tough as Death Row…</p><p> </p><p> [Once again the crowd laughs because they clearly know that Death Row is an inferior team.]</p><p> </p><p> Daniel Elderberry: And finally we were told that even though we wear leather jackets to the ring we don’t appeal to the gay audience like the Bumfhole’s do!</p><p> </p><p> So Dickie Eisen said he had no need for us and he canned our asses! He also said we could no longer use our old names because he copyrighted that crap. That is why we are going by our real names now.</p><p> </p><p> We’ve been unemployed for awhile and we didn’t know what to do with ourselves. I mean we still had the urge to beat the crap out of people so David here suggested that we go work in PSW.</p><p> </p><p> [The fans start to boo at the mere mention of NYCW‘s main competitor to the south.]</p><p> </p><p> David Bonham: Yeah but at the end of the day we decided we needed a real challenge so we came here.</p><p> </p><p> [The crowd cheers this statement as Mitch Naess says from the announcers booth:]</p><p> </p><p> Mitch Naess: What the hell is wrong with the wrestlers in PSW?</p><p> </p><p> [back in the ring Daniel Elderberry has the microphone in his hand again.]</p><p> </p><p> Daniel Elderberry: Yeah you see me and my partner are much like this city. We are dirty and gritty and we don’t take no crap from anybody! We’ve come here for one reason and one reason only and that is to beat The Old School Principals!</p><p> </p><p> David Bonham: Yeah cause they have what we want, the NYCW tag titles. You see we aint patient! We aint gonna wait in line for our shot!</p><p> </p><p> Daniel Elderberry: Yeah we just do what we’ve done our whole lives, kick ass! And anybody that gets in our way of the titles will get their ass kicked as well!</p><p> </p><p> [Daniel Elderberry drops the microphone in the center of the ring and he and his partner leave the ring as Bad To The Bones is blaring over the sound system. We go back to our three man announce booth and Mitch Naess looks visibly angry about the comments just made about his promotion.] </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Interview segment: E</strong></p></div><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Rock Downpour: Well it looks like we got our selves yet another good tag team hear in NYCW! Ours actually give it one hundred and ten percent each and every night! </p><p> </p><p> Rock Downpour: Well our next match should be an interesting one as our boss The Stomper gets in the ring to face NYCW newcomer Brendan Idol. Should be an interesting match lets go back down to the ring so that Marv Earnest can make the introductions.</p><p> </p><p> Herb Stately: How is Brendan Idol still alive after last months event?</p><p> </p><p> [both Stomper and Brendan Idol had entered the ring while the announcers were talking.]</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper.jpg</span><span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/BrendanIdol.jpg</span><p> </p><p> <strong>Brendan Idol vs. The Stomper</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Marv Earnest: Our next match of the evening is scheduled for one fall with a fifteen minute time lim-it. Well Sam was not about to allow Bailey to enjoy any of this “time out“ and he jumped over the top rope and crashed into Bailey. Finally, after a little brawling outside of the ring both men reentered the ring. Bailey got the upper hand and kept Pratt grounded for the rest of the match. <p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>After the show:</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

[i am sitting in my makeshift office after the show happy at the event that just took place. I had a successful show in my opinion as the fans really seemed to get into to it. While I sat on the steel chair in my makeshift office, there was a knock at my door.]</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: Enter.</p><p> </p><p>

[Man I felt like Jean Luc Picard after I said that. Anyways the door opens and in walks Mitch Naess who is obviously upset about something. I thought that he might be coming in to complain about Rock Downpour being in the booth again. He had done this to me two weeks ago when I told him that I wanted Rocky back in the booth. He kept on bitching to me that by adding a third man to the booth it would throw him off.]</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: Great show tonight Mitch! What can I do for you?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/MitchNaess_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Mitch Naess: Look let’s cut out the pleasantries, I am extremely pissed off at the stunt you pulled on me tonight!</p><p> </p><p>

[i realized that he was not talking about having Rock in the booth. However, for the life of me I could not figure out what he was talking about.]</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/MitchNaess_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Mitch Naess: Cut the s**t you know full well what I’m talking about! You know when you made me look like a fool tonight! </p><p> </p><p>

[i shrugged my shoulder as I really did not have a clue as to what he was talking about. Mitch realized that I was not sure what he was talking about so he decided to elaborate on the subject.]</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/MitchNaess_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Mitch Naess: When you had Daniel and Dave make those digs at my promotion! That was not cool at all! In fact I came in here to tell you that I am quitting this sh***y ass promotion! You know I thought we had a good working relationship with each other, but you had to turn around and do this s**t on me!</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: Mitch let me assure you that I had nothing to do with those comments. The fact of the matter is either Daniel or Dave went off script or Derek told them to say it. Dude, I’ll tell you what hold off on quitting for a couple of days and let me get to the bottom of this. </p><p> </p><p>

I mean, I plan on working with you and PSW for the long term. So the last thing that I would want to do is say anything bad about your company. And I would like to apologize for what they said about your company as you know I love PSW wrestling and I would not want this stupid little comment to screw up our working relationship. So like I said, please give me a day or two. I will find out who is behind this and I will get them to apologize to you. Okay?</p><p> </p><p>

[i extended my hand, Mitch stroked his chin and finally decided to shake my hand.]</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/MitchNaess_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Mitch Naess: Fine, I will not do anything rash until you are able to find out exactly who was behind this comment.</p><p> </p><p>

[As Mitch left my office I breathed a sign of relief, as I had dodged a major bullet for now…] </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:10px;">occ: This was not based on an in game incident. I just felt that after The Gang of New York made the comment about PSW it would only make sense that their owner, and my annoucer, would be pissed off. And he would have to confront whomever was behind said comment.</span></p>

<p><span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Jack Arthur: Man, problems seem to be popping up left and right for me. First the incident with Mitch and now this:</p><p> </p><p> I looked down at my cell phone on the day after our I Love New York show, there was a message on my voice mail from Peter Robinson (known to you all as Grandmaster Phunk) on said message he said the following:</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="24648" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><p> <span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/GrandmasterPhunk.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Grandmaster Phunk: Hey man I know you have been wanting me to look over the contract that you sent me…But man I have a confession to make, last month I sent out feelers up north. Well anyways, Rich Eisen made it known to me that he was interested in me working for him again. So we talked money and Rich made me an offer that I just could not refuse. So I guess what I am saying is, I am gone from the company when my contract is up in two more days. </p><p> </p><p> I am SWF bound brother, I would just like to say that thank you for giving me the Empire Title. Rich said that due to that match alone he signed me. That is why I refused to lose to Steve that night. </p><p> </p><p> Rich kind of made it known to me that he wanted to see how I could do in a high profile match. So you kind of helped get me a second chance in the SWF and for that you have my eternal gratitude. Thanks man, talk to ya later, bye.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Jack Arthur: That was why that bastard would not agree to lose the title match two months ago! He knew that the SWF was watching! He wanted to be made to look as good as possible to impress them further.</p><p> </p><p> I am not entirely sure how winning that match impressed them more, I mean they were probably going to sign him regardless of weather he won or lost the match…Man, I sometimes remember why I hate working in the wrestling industry! Oh well now I have to find out who was behind the whole PSW comment…</p><p> </p><p> occ: Now if I had known that he was going to sign with SWF, I would have never put the title around his waist. To hell with his popularity! I would have jobbed him for two months, if I had known that he was leaving. And to top it all off I could not find a replacement for him (Honest Frank took his spot but his popularity is not as good as Phunk’s) as my promotion prestige is in the toilet and no one with popularity equal to his would sign with me. Believe me when I say it, nothing sucks more then when Henry Lee refuses to sign with your promotion because he thinks he is too good to do so!</p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Tuesdays with Stomper:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

[i had a talk with The Gang of New York about the comments they made in regards to PSW during their interview on our last show. They told me that it was all Stomper’s idea and he told them to say it knowing full well that it would tick off Mitch.] </p><p> </p><p>

[so now that I knew who told them to say it, I had to find out why. I knew I had to bring this up with Derek at our monthly meeting. This months meeting took place in a Dunkin Donuts in Levittown, New York (I know it is a strange place but Derek sure does love his coffee). Derek had already arrived a few minutes early and was sitting at one of the tables. Once he made eye contact with me he looked at his watch, as if to say, “Where were you?”] </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Your not gonna get anything?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: No, I am trying to eat more healthy. My girlfriend keeps on chastising me for the love handles that I have seemed to develop recently.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: So what are ya a hippy? Are ya gonna eat a granola bar or something?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: No…I am just cutting back on fast food and such.</p><p> </p><p>

[stomper looked at me and nodded and then chuckled to himself. He then began to talk about our meeting.]</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Okay first things first, I want to be blunt with you. I do not want Whistler to be referred to as mentally challenged any longer. It is not funny and it comes across as lowbrow humor. </p><p> </p><p>

And plus we have been getting complaints from parents who have children that are mentally disabled and they find it highly insulting to have to sit through a show were we constantly make those jokes that are in poor taste. So cut out the Whistler is a retard joke, we are after all a family promotion. And he place a high value on all of the families that come to our shows.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: Derek, the Whistler jokes have been going on since before I started with the company. I am not arguing with you on the subject, I just want to say that this has very little to do with me. Bailey and Frank are the two that usually make the jokes…</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Yes but you okay everything that goes on air, so just tell them to knock it off. However, they can say that Whistler is dumb just no mention of him being mentally challenged or retarded? Understood?</p><p> </p><p>

[i nodded my head in agreement as I did agree with him on this subject.]</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Good now what are you gonna do about the fact that our Empire Champion is now in the SWF?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: Well at our next event I was going to do a four man tournament for the title. I was going to have Steve vs. Frank and Bailey vs. Whistler. Is that all right?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Perfect! And this time do not put the belt on someone who is going to leave us! All right?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: Okay. </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Now onto financials….</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: Derek, if I could…I would like to discuss something that has caused some discourse backstage.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Fine what is it?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: The comments made by Daniel and Dave about PSW.</p><p> </p><p>

[Derek had a grin slowly creep across his face when he heard me say this.]</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Why, what about that comment?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: Well to be honest, Mitch did not take to kindly to having his promotion s**t on during that interview. He felt attacked by that comment and he has threatened to quit the company over that comment.</p><p> </p><p>

[Derek rolls his eyes and starts to laugh.]</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Look if that little piss-ant wants to have a hissy fit because of that comment then let him. If he wants to leave…then let him! He is working for me! He is taking money from my company! If he doesn’t like the working conditions then let him stay in Pittsburg and let him continue to put on that hardcore crap that he calls wrestling! I sure as hell don’t need or want him here anyway!</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: Come on Derek, you yourself said that he was doing a great job in the booth. You said that you loved the chemistry he has with Herb. And like I have said many times before, he will make it easier for us to sign some of his wrestlers. I know you think that they are junk wrestlers but there is a lot of talent down there…talent that we could use to our advantage.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, look at it from his perspective; how would you like it if you were working for him and he ambushed you on his show?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Well that would not happen…I mean what kind of owner goes and works for other promotions anyway? But to a certain extent I understand what you are saying. And he is an employee of my company, so I will tell you what. I have been in a good mood recently and you and he do have a point. There was no reason to take a pot shot at him, so I will apologize to him the next time I see him. Will that do?</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JackAvatar.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Arthur: I think so…</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheStomper_alt1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Stomper: Okay good, now onto financials. You know I think that….</p><p> </p><p>

[i am not going to recount our financial talk, I would like to say that Derek can be a very reasonable man once you reason with him. I am actually surprised that he offered to make an apology that quickly. Hopefully that will be enough to keep Mitch happy, as I really enjoy his work and look forward to tapping the talent pool of PSW…]</p>

It is your boy Rock Downpour here! As all you internet savvy fans out there in cyberspace have probably heard by now, our Empire Champion Grandmaster Phunk has decided to take his ball and run up north. Now don’t get me wrong I do not begrudge the man for looking out for number one, but I don’t like the fact that he has left our main event in shambles!</p><p> </p><p> With the loss of Phunk, NYCW owner Stomper has decreed that we will have a four man tournament to decided who will be the next NYCW Empire champion. That tournament will take place at our next show called New York, New York. We here at nycw.com have the low down on who will be fighting who in the opening round. In round one of the Empire championship tournament we will see Whistler take on his arch nemesis Black Hat Bailey! And in the other opening round match Steve Flash will take on Honest Frank! Both these matches should be great!</p><p> </p><p> I have to say that I have really been enjoying some of our recent hires! Bulldozer Brandon Smith is going to be a star of the future here in NYCW! You all heard that first from me, I mean the dude is a beat! And yeah I know he does not have a win under his belt yet, but believe me when I say it, he will get a win soon and lots of them in the future.</p><p> </p><p> I have also heard that NYCW’s newest tag team, The Gang of New York, are scheduled to make their NYCW in ring debut at New York, New York! These outcasts from up north only have one thing on their minds and that is to capture the NYCW tag team gold. At New York, New York they will get their chance to start down that path!</p><p> </p><p> C-ya next month,</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rock Downpour</strong></p></div></blockquote>

<p>Prediction key for NYCW New York, New York:</p><p> </p><p>

First round of the NYCW Empire Championship tournament:</p><p> </p><p>

Whistler vs. <strong>Black Hat Bailey</strong></p><p> </p><p>

First round of the NYCW Empire Championship tournament:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Steve Flash</strong> vs. Honest Frank</p><p> </p><p>

Finals for the NYCW Empire Championship tournament:</p><p> </p><p>

Winner of: <strong>Steve Flash</strong> or Honest Frank vs. Winner of: Whistler or Bailey</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Sam Pratt</strong> vs. The Masked Mauler</p><p> </p><p>

PS. Could you remove the Marv Earnest parts and keep the rest of the intros? I know it ads realism but I seriously don't care for where they are from or their weights other then in a roster overview. Plus would save you time.</p>

How do you think I should go about doing the intros?</p><p> </p><p> Also, thaks for the picks and feedback!</p>

<p>Same as you have been doing them without Marv lol.</p><p> </p><p>

Example:</p><p> </p><p>

[The house lights go off as a spot light shines on the wrestlers entrance. Jay-Z‘s Big Pimpin’ starts to play over the sound system. After a few seconds, Honest Frank and Grandmaster Phunk come out from behind the curtain. The crowd pours down the boos as these two men make their way down to the ring.]</p><p> </p><p>

[Phunk flicks off the crowd as the boos continue, there is also a small, You‘re a liar chant going as well. The spotlight goes back to the wrestlers entrance as Whistler‘s anthem (the theme song of Kolchak The Night Stalker) begins to play.] </p><p> </p><p>

[Out comes Whistler, waving the good old red, white, and blue; yelling Hoooooooo! And then canting USA! USA! While he makes his way to the ring. The fans go nuts and chant with him. As Whistler enters the ring, Phunk and Honest Frank retreat to the floor, shouting insults at Whistler.]</p><p> </p><p>

[The spotlight once again returns to the wrestler‘s entrance as the crowd is buzzing in anticipation of their favorite wrestler Steve Flash. Finally, The Rolling Stones’ Jumping Jack Flash hits and the crowd goes nuts.] </p><p> </p><p>

[A few seconds later Steve Flash comes out from behind the curtain and runs to ring side while slapping the fans hands. Steve enters the ring and climbs the ring post and raises his hand above his head as his partner Whislter claps along with the crowd.]</p>

<p>Okay I will do it that way for the next show. I was going to get rid of Marv anyway as his contract is about to come up in month six (game time) and I could just have Rock Downpour do any of the interviews. </p><p> </p><p>

Thanks for the feedback!</p>

NYCW presents: NEW YORK, NEW YORK

<a href="http://s969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/?action=view&current=NYCW-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/NYCW-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Saturday March 15, 2008

Location: Ministry in Queens, New York

Attendance: 807

Overall Show Rating: D+

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/MitchNaess_alt1.jpg

Mitch Naess: Hello and welcome wrestling fans to NYCW’s annual event I Love New York! I am Mitch Naess and I am joined tonight in the boot with my broadcast partners Herb Stately and Rock Downpour. Gentlemen, tonight we have yet another action packed card! Tonight we will see a new Empire Champion crowned!

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/RockDownpour_alt2.jpg

Rock Downpour: Yeah because Phunk decided to take his ball and run up north, we are going to have a tournament and someone will be walking out of here as a champion tonight!

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/HerbStately.jpg

Herb Stately: Someone will be walking out here as champion tonight? That is right but it is not someone who will be walking out as champion! It will be Honest Frank that will be the new Empire Champion!

Mitch Naess: That could very well happen! All though I think that Bailey, Whistler, and Flash would say otherwise!

[We are now shown a video hyping the Whistler/Bailey feud. We see the various matches in their feud which goes back to June of 2007. We hear Black Hat constantly making fun of how dumb Whistler is.]

Segment Rating: D+

Mitch Naess: Well these two man have a lot of hatred towards each other!

Herb Stately: Yeah they do but the thing is Whistler never has been able to beat Bailey. What makes anyone think that will happen tonight? The ham and eggers that are sitting out in the audience should realize that all of the ho chants and the USA chants in the world are not going to help your hero Whistler out. He is just to dumb to beat Black Hat Bailey!

Rock Downpour: Well that is mighty brave of you to say that here in the announcing booth, Herb. But would you have the guts to say that to his face?

Herb Stately: Yes I would because the guy is to dumb to figure out what I am saying to him.

Mitch Naess: Well I for one disagree with your assessment of Whistler’s intelligence and I am sure these fans do as well. With that being said lets go down to the ring.

First Round Matchup for the Empire Champioship Tournament:

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/BlackHatBailey.jpghttp://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/Whistler.jpg

Black Hat Bailey vs.

[The house lights dim as a kind of hush comes over the crowd waiting to see who is about to come out. All of a sudden Tears For Fears’ Everybody Wants To Rule The World hits and the crowd starts to boo relentlessly. As this could only mean one thing Black Hat Bailey was about to come out. A few seconds later he does, and at the mere sight of him the fans boo even louder.]

[bailey once again makes his customary slow walk to the ring while soaking in the boos. As like last month Bailey has various projectiles thrown his way while making his way to the ring.

In the front row sits an old woman who has been coming to NYCW shows since the company first opened up. She wears her famous bright yellow shirt and her hair is wild like Albert Einstein‘s. Her name is Front Row Franny and she starts yelling at Black Hat Bailey when he comes near her. Bailey walks over to her and smiles and tips his hat to her. This enrages her even more and she starts to shout louder at him.]

[The theme song from Kolchak: The Night Stalker starts to play over the sound system. A few seconds later out comes Whistler, waving his American flag. He sticks his thumb out and yells Hoooooooooo! And the fans respond in kind.]

[Whistler enters the ring and stares down his arch-enemy. He then proceeds to turn his back to Bailey, so he can hand his American flag over to the ring attendant. Big mistake! Bailey Pearl Harbor‘s Whistler and starts to viscously beat on him.

At one point in the match Whistler‘s nation (his fans) start chanting USA! USA! Which prompts Bailey to throw Whistler out to the floor. Bailey then snatches the house microphone from ring announcer Marv Earnest and yells out this line, “No wonder you idiots cheer for this joke of a wrestler, you are just as dumb as he is! The last time I checked Buffalo, New York was in the USA! So that makes me an American! Learn your geography you morons!

Unfortunately for Bailey while he was going through his rant, Whistler regained his composure and attacked Bailey. The two men brawled on the outside of the ring as Senior Referee Michael Bull (well the only referee in NYCW) liberally counted to ten. Just before he hit ten Bailey and Whistler reentered the ring.

Bailey gained the upper hand upon reentry into the ring and he did not look back from that point onwards. He finally picked up the victory over Whistler once again. He did illegally use the ring ropes for leverage once again.]

Winner and advancing to the finals of the Empire Championship Tournament:

Black Hat Bailey

Rating: D +

Time: 7:54

Herb Stately: You see! What did I tell you! Whistler just does not have what it takes to beat Bailey! Month in and month out the results are always the same, Bailey wins! Well at least the ham and eggers in the crowd got a geography lesson. You see not only is Bailey are great wrestler, he also cares enough to teach the uneducated masses that are here in the crowd tonight!

Mitch Naess (trying to not look like he is laughing at Herb‘s statement): I’ve got nothing to say about that! Rock do you care to offer a rebuttal?

[Rock is also trying not to laugh, while on camera, and just shakes his head no in response.]

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/HandsomeStranger_alt2.jpghttp://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JoanneRodriguez_alt1.jpghttp://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/EddieHoward.jpg

with Joanne Rodriguez vs. Eddie Howard

[With that the music of Mr. Jiminez starts to play. Out first from the wrestler‘s entrance is Joanne Rodriguez who once again does not disappoint us male fans (and some of our female fans for that matter) as she is wearing a barely there low cut red dress.

She is followed to the ring by her client Mr. Jiminez. The Super Starfish chants are very loud from the rowdy crowd here in Queens tonight. Mr. Jiminez does not look pleased to the reaction that he is getting as he walks to the ring.

Finally, Mr. Jiminez and J-Ro make it to the ring where Mr. Jiminez follows J-Ro up the ring steps and instructs her to hold the ring ropes open for him. Which she does, Mr. Jiminez enters the ring and walks to the center of the ring. J-Ro joins him in the center and she holds up his right hand while pointing at him with her left hand. The crowd boos loudly at this duo.]

[The boos quickly turn to cheers as Eddie Howard makes his way down to the ring. Eddie enters the ring which causes Mr. Jiminez to leave the ring. Eddie climbs the ropes and holds his hands above his head. Eddie has gotten a better reaction from the crowd this time around.]

[The crowd mood seemed to be brought down by this match as Eddie seemed off his game tonight. He was blowing a lot of spots and the fans seemed to pickup on it. J-Ro did do a good job of keeping the referee occupied while Mr. Jiminez used a pair of brass knuckles, that he got from his tights, to knockout Eddie Howard. And to add insult to injury, Mr. Jiminez did not go for the pin he instead applied the Scorpion Deathlock to Howard’s leg. Howard, who was already out cold from the punch, did not show the referee any reaction when the ref asked him if he wanted to quit. Therefore, the ref surmised that Howard had passed out due to pain and he awarded the victory to Mr. Jiminez.]

Winner: Mr. Jiminez

Rating: D-

Time: 5:29

Mitch Naess: Well the man who was formerly known as Super Starfish picks up a victory here tonight!

Rock Downpour: Yeah he did but my problem is why did he put the Scorpion Deathlock on a man who was already knocked out cold?

Herb Stately: Because he can my friend! Look a win is a win no matter how one comes about getting it. I have no qualms what so ever with what Mr. Jiminez did. Granted I was looking at the lovely Ms. Rodriguez most of the match.

Mitch Naess: Well on that note lets go to the ring to see the debut of the tag team who have put our tag team champions on notice. Up next we will see The Gang of New York take on the makeshift tag team of Lee Wright and Frank Carson.

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/DirtyFrank.jpghttp://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/LeeWright.jpghttp://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/LeadBelly_alt1.jpghttp://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/GreaseHogg.jpg

Frank Carson&

vs.

[Frank Carson was so unimportant that his ring entrance was not even shown as he walked down to the ring while the guys in the booth were talking. However, his partner Lee Wright did get an introduction. Upon, leaving the backstage area the fans rained down a chorus of boos at the former Tri-State Regional champion. Lee just looks like a man who is generally pissed off to be here tonight. When he gets near Front Row Franny, she tells him that he sucks. Lee raises his hand as if he is going to hit her but instead walks up the ring steps and into the ring.]

[The house lights dim and the spotlight goes to where the wresters usually come out. Bad To The Bone by George Thorogood comes blasting over the sound system. However, there is no sign of The Gang of New York. Finally, the crowd starts to go wild as these two rough and tumble guys walk through the crowd drinking beer and smoking there cigars. While they slowly make their way to the ring Herb Stately says:]

Herb Stately: Yeah these guys are great role models for our fans! They promote getting drunk on the job, and causing cancer. Yeah you dumb ass fans keep cheering these two jamokes! Meanwhile they are giving you all cancer through second hand smoke!

[Finally after a lengthy walk to the ring The Gang of New York enter the ring as the fans cheer wildly for their heroes.]

[When the match finally started, all of the good will that the fans had given TGONY disappeared as the crowds mood was brought down due to the action in the ring. Thankfully this match was rather short, The Gang of New York finished off the makeshift tag team of Franklin Carson and Lee Wright. When Daniel Elderberry pinned Franklin Carson after Daniel hit Franklin with the RPM Bomb.]

Winners: The Gang of New York

Rating: E

Time: 6:30

[The Gang of New York are standing in either corner of the ring celebrating their victory while drinking beer, when all of a sudden the are attacked from behind by the NYCW Tag Team Champions The Old School Principals. The OSP brutally beat down TGONY, with juice flowing out of David Bonham’s head. Finally NYCW officials come out and the OSP leave the ring knowing that they proved their point. You just don’t come into NYCW and insert yourselves in the tag team title scene.]

Segment Rating: E-

Mitch Naess: Well I guess that was the Old School Principals’ personal welcome to NYCW!

Rock Downpour: Yeah but they also were not man enough to come at them face to face! They had to Pearl Harbor them!

Herb Stately: Yeah because attacking someone from the front is really a wise choice! No, the Old School Principals did the right thing. I think that The Gang of New York will think twice before running their mouths again! I told you that the Old School Principals were going to go old school on their asses!

Mitch Naess: Well let’s go back down to the ring were everybody’s favorite pathological liar Honest Frank is standing by.

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/HonestFrank.jpg

[Honest Frank stands in the center of the ring pacing back and forth, seething as the fans start up the You‘re A Liar chant.]

Honest Frank: I haven’t got the time to address you people! I will say this, I am sick and tired of you troglodytes besmirching my good name! And I have spoken to my lawyer and she has said if I so choose I can sue each and every last one of you for libel!

[The fans laugh at this statement and they continue the You‘re A Liar chant. Frank continues to pace back and forth in the ring with his left hand on the microphone and his right hand balled up in a fist. He then starts to speak again:]

Honest Frank: Laugh at me all you want! You will not be laughing when you have to come to court because I am suing you!

[Frank starts to talk to himself in a low voice.]

Honest Frank: Calm down Frank remember what your mother told you. You can’t let these troglodytes get to you….

[The fans switch chant from the You‘re A Liar chant to Frankie is a momma‘s boy. This chant enrages Frank further.]

Honest Frank: Now you dear to besmirch my mother! You people are truly low life’s!

[The crowd starts to boo Frank after that statement and the Frankie is a momma‘s boy chant picks back up again. Honest Frank shouts out:]

Honest Frank: Serenity now!

[The fans that get the reference laugh while the rest of the fans continue with the Frankie is a momma‘s boy chant. Frank finally continues:]

Honest Frank: I came out here to tell you troglodytes something and I am not going to let you get at me anymore!

Last month I formed an alliance with Grand Master Phunk. We were supposed to rule NYCW! Alas, Phunk decided to head towards greener pastures. I can’t say that I really blame him, at least now he doesn’t have to look at each and everyone of your ugly mugs month in and month out anymore!

[The crowd really starts to boo Frank, as he stands in the center of the ring basking in the boos.]

Honest Frank: My rather short lived alliance with Phunk has earned me an enemy. An enemy whom I will face in a few short minutes! An enemy who has vowed to hurt me at any cost.

With the constant threat of this enemy looming, not knowing when of if he will attack me, I decided that I need some protection. After all even I, the toughest, smartest, and most honest man in NYCW, can not be aware of my surroundings at all times. Therefore, as I said I got myself some protection from that Michael Bolton look-alike. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I give you my personal bodyguard and one of the greatest technical wrestlers in the world today:

[Frank points to the wrestler‘s entrance way, with that build up the fans were expecting to see a great technical wrestler such as Sean McFly, Dan Stone Jr., or maybe even Tommy Cornell. However, the exact opposite happened. Out walks probably one of the worst wrestlers in the world...

The Big Problem!

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheBigProblem_alt9.jpg

Hey Frank is a pathological liar after all! Of course he was lying this time around as well. The fans immediately start to boo and the chants of Big Flop and You Suck alternate as this former NYCW tag team champion makes his way to the ring. Upon entering the ring Frank walks over to his new bodyguard and hugs him.]

Honest Frank: Stop your booing! You people would not know greatness if it walked up to you and slapped you right on the face!

[The crowd has multiple chants going on at once all directed at the two men in the ring.]

Honest Frank: I a few minutes Steve Flash, you and I will meet up in the center of this ring! I will beat you and advance to the finals of the Empire championship tournament! And after that I will claim the Empire Championship!

Tonight I will prove once and for all why you and these fans have to respect me and why you and these fans will have to call my associate and I, NEW YORK CITY’S FINEST!

[Frank drops the microphone in the center of the ring as he and The Big Problem bask in the chorus of boos that are raining down on them.]

Segment Rating: D-

Mitch Naess: With Honest Frank and The Big Problem joining forces, it looks like Steve Flash’s problems have just begun!

Rock Downpour: I hate to say this, but I think Steve Flash is going to have his hands full. My question is, did Honest Frank really call the Big Flop…uh I mean The Big Problem one of the best technical wrestlers in the world today?

Herb Stately: He is not one of the best he is the best! You never saw that five star classic match where he schooled Dan Stone Jr.?

Rock Downpour: What! Are you serious?

Mitch Naess (trying not to laugh): Lets go back down to the ring for our next match, which is the second match for the Empire Championship. We are going to see Steve Flash take on Honest Frank, the winner will advance to the finals of the tournament and will face off with Black Hat Bailey to determine who will be the new Empire Champion!

First Round Matchup for the Empire Champioship Tournament:

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/HonestFrank.jpghttp://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheBigProblem_alt9.jpghttp://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/SteveFlash.jpg

Honest Frank with The Big Problem vs. Steve Flash

[Honest Frank is still standing in the ring with his new bodyguard as the house lights dim and a spotlight shines on the wrestler‘s entrance. The Rolling Stones‘ Jumping Jack Flash starts to play on the sound system and the crowd goes wild! Steve Flash comes through the backstage curtain and the fans are going absolutely insane! The fans soon start to join in singing along with The Rolling Stones classic song.]

[steve does not do his customary climbing of the ropes for this match as the look on his face appears to mean that he is all business tonight.]

[The minute the bell sounds Flash rushes towards Honest Frank spearing him to the ground. Steve starts to viciously ground and pound Frank who is doing little to defend himself. He finally lets up as he see The Big Problem pointing at him. Frank rolls out of the ring and makes a face like he is crying, The Big Problem is there to comfort him. Telling him that everything is going to be all right. While this is going on Steve Flash jumps over the top rope and onto both Honest Frank and The Big Problem.

Finally, the Steve Flash is able to get to his feet and he takes Honest Frank‘s lifeless body and rolls him back into the ring. Towards the middle part of the match, Honest Frank is able to mount a come back. This all starts when Flash is tripped by the Big Problem while trying to run the ropes. Frank brutalizes Flash for a good three minutes. Until, Flash starts to get his energy back due to the fans chanting his name. He regains his momentum and sends Frank into the ropes. Frank comes running back to him and bam!, Flash hits Frank with a Flash Bang (Missile Drop Kick) and pins him 1,2,3 for the victory! ]

Winner and advancing to the finals of the Empire Championship Tournament:

Steve Flash

Rating: C

Time: 9:53

Mitch Naess: Well it looks like we are going to have on heck of a main event tonight, as Steve Flash will take on Black Hat Bailey to see who will be the next Empire Champion!

Herb Stately: Yeah well it should have been Honest Frank vs. Bailey in our main event! Steve Flash just got lucky…

Rock Downpour: You call that luck, Herb? Now I know that you have finally gone off the deep end…

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/JoanneRodriguez_alt1.jpg

[Kanye West‘s Flashing Lights starts to play which can only mean one thing the lovely Joanne Rodriguez comes through the backstage curtain. She is still wearing the very short low cut red dress, she has the microphone in her right hand and she holds it up while she starts to talk.]

Joanne Rodriguez: Ladies and gentlemen, and by the looks of all you in the crowd tonight I use that term loosely, it is my privilege to introduce to you the greatest wrestler in the world today! Mr. Jiminez!

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/HandsomeStranger_alt2.jpg

[The crowd boos as J-Ro stands and claps her hands. Finally, Mr. Jiminez comes through the backstage curtain wearing his customary black Armani suit and black sunglasses. The fans really start to boo when they are finally able to see him. Mr. Jiminez walks over to J-Ro and whispers something in her ear.]

Joanne Rodriguez: Before we go any further, Mr. Jiminez would like to remind you that he will not befoul his tongue with your horrible language!

[The Super Starfish chants startup and Mr. Jiminez does not look to happy about this fact. He whispers in J-Ro‘s ear again.]

Joanne Rodriguez: Mr. Jiminez informs me that he is not here to address you the unwashed masses, he wants to address Sam Pratt tonight!

[Mr. Jiminez starts to whisper more in J-Ro‘s ear she nods her head.]

Joanne Rodriguez: Mr. Jiminez wants to let you know Sam Pratt, that he is fully aware that you are talking trash about him. He knows that you still harbor ill will towards him, he knows you blame him for costing your job up north in Mr. Eisen’s company.

Well Mr. Jiminez wants to make something perfectly clear. It was not he who cost you that job, it was your horrible wrestling that cost you your job! Furthermore, if you continue to blame Mr. Jiminez for your own short comings he will have to personally teach you a lesson in the ring!

[The crowd starts to boo loudly, but that booing quickly turns to cheers as Sam Pratt runs out from the back.

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheCannonballKid.jpg

He is hell bent on getting at Mr. Jiminez. Mr. Jiminez is having none of this as he uses J-Ro as his human shield, knowing full well that Sam would not hit a woman. Mr. Jiminez proceeds to push J-Ro into Sam and he high tails it out of there. Sam Pratt runs after him but it is to late as Mr. Jiminez is nowhere to be found in the backstage area.]

Segment Rating: D-

Mitch Naess: Well it looks as if Mr. Jiminez only wants a piece of Sam Pratt on his own terms and is not willing to conform with Pratt‘s terms.

Herb Stately: Was that last sentence in English? Maybe you need the services of the lovely Ms. Rodriguez, so that we understand exactly what you are saying!

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheMaskedMauler.jpghttp://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/TheCannonballKid.jpg

The Masked Mauler vs. Sam Pratt

[The Masked Mauler who is one-half of the NYCW tag team champions, is already inside the ring. He came out to the ring while Naess and company were talking.]

[Jump by Van Halen comes on the sound system and a sweaty Sam Pratt (who was just looking all over the building for Mr. Jiminez) comes out and the crowd goes wild. Sam has really gained a lot of popularity over the past three months here in NYCW.]

[This match is a fairly basic match with Sam Pratt getting most of the offense in. It was not truly a one sided affair as The Masked Mauler did get some offense in. This all came to an end when Daniel Elderberry came to ringside and attacked the Mauler leaving him down in one of the corners of the ring. This all happened while the referee was checking on Pratt whom had just received an intentional poke in the eye from The Mauler.

When Sam finally regained his vision he saw his opponent lying down on the mat. Not willing to look a gift horse in the mouth, Sam climbs to the top rope and hits Mauler with a Cannonball Drop (Corkscrew Moonsault) and he pins him for the victory.]

Winner: Sam Pratt

Rating: D

Time: 7:13

Mitch Naess: Well I guess Daniel Elderberry got a measure of revenge for him and his partner for that brutal beat down that they got earlier at the hand of the Old School Principals.

Rock Downpour: Yes and I wanted to inform you that David Bonham was rushed to the hospital after that beat down. It looks as though David suffered two broken fingers on his left hand during that beat down. My question is where was Rick Sanders? Why did he not come and help out his partner? I mean they have the numbers advantage with David being in the hospital.

Herb Stately: I am sure if Rick went home for the night. Why hang around if you don’t have a match later on?

Mitch Naess: Well we will have to keep a close eye on the injury of David Bonham and when we get more news on the injury, you fans will be the first to know.

[We are now shown a highlight video that serves as preview for the Main Event tonight with both Steve Flash and Black Hat Bailey talking about what it would me to be the Empire Champion.

Bailey talks about how it has been his goal to win this title since joining NYCW two years ago. Flash talks about how it is his mission to reclaim the belt that he did not feel he lost in the first place. He promises his fans that tonight he is going to walk out of the ring the new Empire Champion.]

Segment Rating: D+

Mitch Naess: Well gentlemen, it is just about time for our Main Event! Tonight we will see Steve Flash take on Black Hat Bailey for the vacant Empire title! So guys what are you predictions for tonight’s match?

Herb Stately: My prediction is that Black Hat Bailey will mop the floor with that Michael Bolton look alike! Black Hat Bailey will finally win his first NYCW Empire Championship!

Rock Downpour: No way man! Look, Steve Flash was screwed out of this very title two months ago! Like he said in the video he is a man on a mission and he will not rest until he completes that mission which is to win the Empire title.

Mitch Naess: Well by the looks of things, our main event is about to start! Let us go back down to the ring for what looks to be a great match for the Empire Championship!

Finals for the Empire Championship Tournament:

Black Hat Bailey vs. Steve Flash

[The house lights dim and the spotlight shines on the wrestler‘s entrance. Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears starts to play, and out steps Black Hat Bailey from behind the backstage curtain. Once again the aging veteran of many of ring wars is pelted with all sorts of garbage.

However, he seems to actually enjoy it! He smiles at the crowd and waves, knowing full well that this will piss them off even more. Once again when he gets in front of Front Row Franny he tips his hat to her. Franny is livid and tries to spit on him but she misses. The house lights come back on as Bailey enters the ring, he starts to jog around the inside of the ring while waiting for his opponent.]

[The house lights dim once again, the spotlight shines on the wrestler’s entranceway, and the familiar Rolling Stones hit starts playing across the arena. Steve Flash soon appears from behind the backstage curtain and he runs down to the ring. Needless to say (but I will say it anyway) the crowd goes nuts for their favorite wrestler.

Steve once again does not due his customary climbing of the ring ropes. He is all business tonight and he stares down his opponent.]

[After the in ring introductions by Marv Earnest, NYCW Senior referee Michael Bull holds the Empire Championship Title above his head and then proceeds to show walk to each side of the ring so the fans can gaze at the title. He then pauses in front of both Steve Flash and Black Hat Bailey and shows them the title.

After handing the title over to the time keeper, Michael Bull motions for both of the competitors in tonight’s match to come to the center of the ring. Marv Earnest stands behind Michael Bull and holds the microphone underneath the arm of Michael. Flash looks deadly serious as he comes face to face with his challenger. Bailey looks just as serious as he realizes that tonight is his chance to win the Empire Title.]

Michael Bull: Okay gentlemen, we went over the instructions in the back and I expect a good clean fight. Any questions?

Both fighters shake their heads no as they keep their opponent’s stare.

Michael Bull: Okay then shake hands and return to your respective corners.

[Neither fighter extend his hand and instead they both head back to their respective corners waiting for Michael Bull to signal for the bell and the start of the match. Michael Bull does just that and the match is on!]

[This is a very good match as both men start off brawling in the center of the ring. The match comes across as being more of a boxing match than a wrestling match but the fans do not care, they are loving every minute of it.

Finally, Bailey gains the upper ground as he keeps the high flying Flash grounded. Bailey applies various submission holds on Flash but they are all for naught. Somehow Flash uses his Harry Houdini like skills to break out of every submission that Bailey tries on him.

By the ten minute mark Bailey is clearly winded, at this point in the match he and Flash are fighting back and forth. It is clear to the fans that Bailey does not have much left in the tank and so they are anticipating that he is about to lose the match to Flash.

However, this does not occur for another two minutes. The set-up for the end of the match has Flash sending Bailey into the ropes, when Bailey comes back towards Flash, Flash nails him with a Flash Bang (Missile Drop Kick) and pins Bailey’s lifeless body. Michael Bull makes the count 1,2,3! Ladies and Gentlemen we have a new Empire Champion Steve Flash!]

Winner and new Empire Champion:

Steve Flash!

Rating: C

Time: 12:22

[The crowd goes wild and two fans from the crowd hop the guardrail and make it into the ring to celebrate with their idol (much like when those two hippy kids celebrated with Hank Aaron after he broke Babe Ruth‘s record). However, they did not stay in the ring for two long as security dragged them out of the ring.

Steve Flash climbs the ring rope and holds the Empire Title above his head as the crowd goes wild. While on the top rope he is joined in the ring by American Machine, Whistler, Sam Pratt, Dazzling Dave Diamond, Eddie Howard, and Brendan Idol who all have come to the ring to celebrate with the new champion.

In fact, Whistler and American Machine hoist up the new champion on their shoulders as Frank Sinatra’s New York, New York is heard playing over the sound system. The fans are singing along with the song and they are also throwing streamers into the ring. The screen finally fades to black as the celebration continues on through the night.]

Rock Downpour’s Take

http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/RockDownpour.jpg

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

Hey, what is up NYCW fans? It is your boy Rock Downpour here! Well like the title says, we here in NYCW have a new boss! No Stomper has not sold the company…we have a new Empire Champion in Steve Flash! Flash who lost the title back in January won the vacated title back at our last event! This man is a true warrior, as he had to beat two of NYCW’s best wrestlers in order to claim the company’s top prize. So I would just like to send out my personal congratulations to my boy Steve on his great victory!

It also looks as if NYCW’s resident pathological liar, Honest Frank, has acquired the services of The Big Problem. Frank says that he needs The Big Problem for protection against Steve Flash, I say he is afraid to face Flash again all by himself so he hired The Big Problem to fight his battles for him. Frank has also told me from now on he wants his alliance with The Big Problem to be known as New York City’s Finest, as they are the finest wrestlers in NYCW today.

We here at nycw.com have learned that David Bonham did indeed suffer two broken fingers at the hands of The Old School Principals. Doctors have told Bonham that the injuries should heal within the next six to eight weeks. So Daniel Elderberry should be expected to be flying solo for a while. David did vow that once he is physically able to come back and wrestle he is going to make Mauler and Sanders wish that they never messed with him and Daniel.

Black Hat Bailey has said that he will no longer fight Whistler. Bailey has informed me and I quote, “Whistler does not pose a challenge to me, I no longer wish to engage him in combat. It is clear to the fans and I that I am not only superior to him in all intellectual endeavors but also I am also the superior athlete. Therefore, I refuse to find that dim witted man ever again.”

Something tells me that we have not seen the end of this feud between these two men. No matter if Bailey wants to wrestle him again or not.

Finally, Sam Pratt has told me that he can not wait to get his hands on Mr. Jiminez. These one time friends have had a ton of bad blood between them over the past couple of months, as Pratt blames Mr. Jiminez for the loss of his job up north. Now one may ask why Pratt, who is now fighting here in NYCW, would care about his former job anymore. And my answer is this, a loss of a job is a very hard thing to get over. Even if you have a new job, you still will think what might have been at your old job. Pratt is still in the what might have been mind frame. With the man who cost him his old job here in NYCW, Sam of course is looking for some old fashion revenge.

C-ya next month,

Rock Downpour
