Good show - I'm enjoying New York City's Finest and The Sting right now. And it's nice to see Mr Jiminez used in a diary with some focus - that's a rarity!

I am glad that you are enjoying them. The thing is I was afraid that I was shoving them down the reader's throat to much.

It is your boy Rock Downpour here! Well much like last month, it looks like New York City’s Finest has just gotten a bit stronger with the addition of the phenomenal Californian wrestler Frankie Perez! I don’t think that there is a doubt, in anybodies mind that NYC’s Finest is the most dominate faction in the history of NYCW. And it would appear that these four men have focused on making Steve Flash’s reign as Empire Champion a short one.</p><p> </p><p> In other news, I recently asked Brendan Idol to discuss the strange obsession that Land Mass has with him. He told me the following:</p><p> </p><p> “Man I am not sure why Land Mass seems to be attacking me month after month. All I know is my body is absolutely killing me from his frequent attacks. My only hope is that Land Mass decides to give me a break and focus his rage on somebody else. Because I need some time to heal up.”</p><p> </p><p> I am not sure that Land Mass is going to grant poor Brendan that wish but we will find out.</p><p> </p><p> Finally, Mr. Salazar had this to say about his attack on Sam Pratt last month at Gang Wars:</p><p> </p><p> “I have been asked why did I come out and attack Sam Pratt last month. My answer to that is why not? You see Sam, my good friend Mr. Jiminez offered you a chance to get out of fighting him. He warned you if you continued down the patch that you were going, you would not be happy with the outcome. Well I am the reason why you will not be happy with the outcome. I have come to NYCW, as a personal favor to my friend Mr. Jiminez. I am not here to win titles, I am not here to make a name for myself in New York City, I am here for one reason and one reason only. The reason….is to end your career!”</p><p> </p><p> It looks like Sam Pratt has just made himself another enemy who is hell bent on destroying him.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> C-ya next month,</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rock Downpour </strong></p></div></blockquote>

<p><strong>Lee Wright</strong> vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond</p><p>

Triple D has yet to be given much of a huge push, and Lee Wright has much more of a pronounced character at the moment, I suspect he wins this on his path to another TSR Title shot.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Black Hat Bailey</strong> vs. Eddie Howard</p><p>

Black Hat's one of the NYCW staples, and has an angle, I can't see any reasons for Howard winning here.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Honest Frank</strong> vs. Brendan Idol</p><p>

Honest Frank has slowly been built up as the No.1 Contender, whereas Idol has slowly been built up as the No.1 Pretender. Could see some sort of Flash-interferance-derived upset, to further the feud, give Frank something to seethe about (Complete with honestly denying up and down that he ever lost) and to revitalize Idol as he goes into his looming feud with Peverell/Land Mass, but the safe pick is The Honest One here.</p><p> </p><p>

Land Mass vs. <strong>Whistler</strong></p><p>

Whistler has a much more prominent role, currently.</p><p> </p><p>

For the NYCW Tri-State Regional Title:</p><p> </p><p>

The Masked Mauler vs. <strong>American Machine ©</strong></p><p>

Mauler just seems like an odd choice for this belt.</p><p> </p><p>

A Fatal Four-Way Elimination Tag Match (The Winners will take on The Gang of New York at next month's show):</p><p> </p><p>

The Sting vs. Wiley Coyote vs. <strong>New York City's Finest (Frankie Perez & Kirk Jameson)</strong> vs. The North American Connection (Colin Shea & Trent Shaffer)</p><p>

The Sting winning this doesn't seem right, Wiley Coyote would be an odd choice for challengers at this stage. Out of the remaining two, I'd go for the New York Cities Finest, to further boost that stable's credibility - although, I don't think they'll be winning the belts. </p><p> </p><p>

For the Empire Championship:</p><p> </p><p>

Giant Tana vs. <strong>Steve Flash </strong></p><p>

Tana debuts, and within minutes, beats Flash to such a severe degree, that the absolutely retarded looking Head (and lone) Referee has no choice but to throw him out. Tana, in an insane rage, will then hit him, Flash, all three announcers, six planted fans, three real fans, and Bill from accounting, with individual Stunners, before proceeding to take J-Ro home with him.</p>

All the roster really needs is a bit of youth.</p>

Okay I know that I said that I would get this up this afternoon. However, I have been sick the past couple of days. I only got through the show half-way when I got sick so I have not had time to finish the show.

I feel better now and I am shooting for the show to go up on either Tuesday or Wednesday. And from now on I will try not set deadlines as to when I am going to post (Well even though I just did.)

NYCW presents: My Way or the Highway

<a href="http://s969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/?action=view&current=NYCW-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae173/BHK1978/NYCW/NYCW-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Saturday August 16, 2008

Location: Crawford Center, Brooklyn, New York

Attendance: 300

Overall Show Rating: D

[This start of the show is not your typical opening where Mitch and company talk. Instead we are shown a recap video of the havoc that the New York City‘s Finest have committed over the past couple of months. Obviously this video opening a show business will be a one month only deal because instead of watching the video the fans started yelling boring and other random stuff as the video was rolling.]

Mitch Naess: Hello and welcome wrestling fans to NYCW’s annual event Top of the World! My name is Mitch Naess and I am joined tonight in the boot with my broadcast partners Herb Stately and Rock Downpour. Gentlemen, tonight we have yet another action packed card with our main event being Steve Flash taking on an opponent of NYCW’s owner Stomper choice!

Rock Downpour: Not to speak ill of the boss, because after all he does write my check, but this seems like another Honest Frank scheme. Now hear me out on this one, we all know that Frank and the boss have been good friends for a long time. So I would not surprise me one bit that Stomper has brought in someone to dismantle the champ as a favor to Frank.

Herb Stately: You and your conspiracies! You do know that we really did land on the moon in 1969 and that Elvis has been dead since 1977...right?

[Rock nods his head up and down.]

Herb Stately: Good, for a second there I thought you were Fox Mulder! Anyway, our boss is not trying to help out a friend tonight…he is just trying to make the most exciting match possible for the fans here in NYCW! And if it means he has to hand pick a wrestler to fight our Empire Champion, well then so be it. After all, he is only looking after the best interest of the fans.

Mitch Naess: Well on that note, let us go down to the ring for our first match of the night between Eddie Howard and Black Hat Bailey.

[Eddie Howard is out first from the backstage area and the NYCW crowd starts to chant his first name as he walks down to the ring.]

[black Hat Bailey‘s reception is not as warm as he makes his way down to the ring. The garbage is not thrown all that much at Bailey this month. Maybe because it is the first match of the night and the fans have not had a chance to finish eating or drinking what they bought at the concession stands yet.

Bailey still manages to piss the crowd off as he waves to the crowd on his way to the ring. In his monthly ritual, Bailey takes the time to stop in front of Front Row Franny and tip his hat to her. She sticks her tongue out at him, and shouts, “Kiss my ass you punk!“ as Bailey enters the ring.]

[bailey and Eddie have a pretty good match by NYCW standards and the fans seem to really be into it. Eddie seems to get in a good amount of offense in at the start of the match. Finally, Bailey is able to gain control of the match and pins Eddie Howard for the victory.]

Winner: Eddie Howard

Time: 5:43

Rating: D

[A very pleased Bailey soaks in the boos from the fans. He looks down at Eddie Howard and well…everybody knows what he decides to do. Bailey does his customary post-match beat down of Eddie Howard where he walks around Eddie and stomps on him.]

[This post-match beat down does not last all that long, as Whistler once again runs into the ring to save yet another of Bailey’s victims from a further savage beat down at the hands of Bailey. Upon the arrival of his rival, Black Hat Bailey rolls out of the ring and runs to the backstage area, while Whistler checks to see if Eddie is all right.]

Both Segments Rating: D-

Mitch Naess: Is this déjà vu all over again?

Rock Downpour: I am beginning to think so Mitch. Month after month we have had to watch Bailey stomp on the bodies of his fallen opponents. Only to have Whistler come into the ring and save them. To be honest, I am a little sick and tired of Bailey thinking that it is his god given right to do this every month. And I for one would love to see my boy Whistler teach him a lesson.

Herb Stately: How can you put Whistler and teach in the same sentence? Whistler is so dumb that he has to read a picture chart every month just to figure out how to lace up his own boots. And I see absolutely nothing wrong with what Bailey does after every match. He is just trying to prove a point that he is not a man who should be taken lightly.

Mitch Naess: Well there are other ways of proving that you should not be taken lightly. Wait….I just got message from the back that Stomper is going to make an announcement as to who will be facing Steve Flash for the Empire Championship later tonight. So let us go backstage and hear what he has to say.

[We are taking to the back where we see Stomper sitting at an old wooden desk with tons of papers on it. On either side of Stomper there is a cheap plastic plant. Stomper sits looking directly at the camera, waiting for the floor director to give him his cue that to start speaking. Once the floor director does, Stomper nods and begins to speak.]

Stomper: Greetings NYCW fans! Last month I decided that I would pick who would face Steve Flash for the Empire Championship this month. After thinking this decision over long and hard, I finally made up my mind. Tonight, Steve Flash’s opponent will be this man:

[He motions to someone off camera to come on camera. A few seconds later, Mr. Salazar appears on screen with a devilish grin on his face.]

[stomper continues:]

Stomper: Tonight, Mr. Salazar will take on you Steve Flash! I hope you are prepared…

[Mr. Salazar walks out of Stomper‘s office shortly after Stomper finished speaking. Upon entering the hallway he runs into Honest Frank and Kirk Jameson.]

[Honest Frank walks up to Mr. Salazar and says:]

Honest Frank: Congratulations Mr. Salazar! You are the perfect opponent for Steve Flash tonight! With that being said I have a bit of a proposition for you.

Mr. Salazar: What is it man? What proposition do you have for me?

Honest Frank: As you know over the past couple of months, I have been trying to soften up Steve for when I eventually challenge him for the Empire championship.

[Mr. Salazar nod his head.]

Honest Frank: Well tonight is your lucky night! Tonight I am going to offer you a chance to make you personal bank account higher! If you agree to beat the living crap out of Steve Flash tonight to my satisfaction, and not win the Empire title tonight, I will give you…hold on a minute…

[Honest Frank goes into his jacket pocket and pulls out some money. He then proceeds to quickly count the money and then says to Mr. Salazar:]

Honest Frank: I will give you…fifty-four dollars and hold on a second….

[He goes into his pats pockets and pulls out some change.]

Honest Frank: I will give you fifty-four dollars and twenty-seven cents!

[Mr. Salazar looks amused by this, he then replies:]

Mr. Salazar: That’s it bro? You are only gonna offer me a measly fifty-four dollars and twenty-seven cents? Your playing right man? Where is Ashton Kutcher because I feel like I am getting punked!

Honest Frank: No…no, I assure you that I am serious! Think about what fifty-four dollars and twenty-seven cents could do for you when you return to Puerto Rico….I mean with that kind of money you could probably become king of that country…

[Mr. Salazar does not look pleased at that comment. Kirk then says, loudly enough for the audience to here, in Frank‘s ear:]

Kirk Jameson: Ah boss, Puerto Rico is part of the United States….

[Honest Frank looks shocked at this revelation he turns and looks at Kirk and says:]

Honest Frank: Really? Since when?

Kirk Jameson: Since like the late 1800’s or so…

Honest Frank: Well I am not sure if what my esteemed colleague said is right or not. That being said my offer still stands Mr. Salazar, and you know where to find me if you change your mind.

[Honest Frank extends his hand to Mr. Salazar who shakes it and Mr. Salazar walks one way and Kirk and Frank head off in the other direction.]

Segment Rating: D-

[We then are taken over to Cheerleader Nicki who is standing by with The Sting. The are standing in front of a brick wall with an NYCW banner hanging on it. Roger is looking Cheerleader Nicki up and down and he has a smile on his face. Nicki looks like a deer caught in headlights as she starts to speak.]

Cheerleader Nicki: Hi everybody, I am here with Roger Dodger and Sammy the Shark who are collectively known as The Sting. Now Roger I would first like to ask you…

Roger Dodger: Let me interrupt you for a second baby girl as I already know what you would like to ask me. Yes I am currently single and yes I will give you my business card with my personal number on it so that we can go out sometime.

[Cheerleader Nicki looks a little grossed out by this. She says:]

Cheerleader Nicki: Actually, that was not what I was going to ask you at all. Plus if I were to consider going out with one of you two…I have to say Sammy is more my type.

[A huge grin crawls across Sammy‘s face, as he victory pumps his arm. Roger looks at Nicki as if to say really, and then looks over at Sammy who quickly changes the expression on his face to a more stoic look. Roger rolls his eyes and Nicki continues:]

Cheerleader Nicki: What I wanted to ask you is how do you feel with your recent string of losses?

[Roger answers her in a rather angry tone.]

Roger Dodger: How do I feel? How do I feel? How do you think I feel? Look, these losses are nothing more than a minor setback for my partner and I. We are still the greatest tag team in professional wrestling today, it is just that we have hit a…sort of dry spell over the past couple of months….that’s all a dry patch.

Cheerleader Nicki: Sammy do you foresee this dry patch coming to an end tonight when you take on three other teams to earn the right to fight for the NYCW Tag Team Championships?

Sammy the Shark: Yes I do….

Roger Dodger: Why are you asking him the questions? If you have questions they go through me! After all I am the team’s spokesman not him!

[Nicki looks at Sammy who just nods his head.]

Cheerleader Nicki: So then do you…um…see an end to this dry patch tonight?

Roger Dodger: Yes I do! And you want to know why?

[He looks at Nicki and she shrugs her shoulders.]

Roger Dodger: Well I will tell you why! Because we are the greatest tag team on the planet today! And I am so confident in our ability to win tonight that I am going to personally guarantee a victory tonight! And now my dear this interview is over!

Cheerleader Nicki: Well guys you have heard it from the horses mouth, The Sting have once again guaranteed a victory tonight. Back to you Mitch…

Segment Rating: E

Mitch Naess: Once again Roger Dodger boldly proclaims that he and his partner will get a victory tonight…

Herb Stately: And you doubt him? Tonight is the night that The Sting right their ship. I got this feeling about it…

Mitch Naess: Let us go back down to the ring for our next match!

[Dazzling Dave Diamond is already in the ring waiting for his opponent to come down to the ring.]

[Lee Wright comes out from the backstage area. He is immediately greeted with an A-A-R-Lee chant. Lee looks extremely pissed off, as he normally does every month, as he makes his way down to the ring. When he enters the ring he takes the microphone from the ring announcer and says: ]

Lee Wright: Cut my music!

[Lee waits for his music to be turned off before speaking.]

Lee Wright: All you losers in the audience think that you are so damn clever with the A-A-R-Lee chants…don’t cha? Well if that is the case then I truly feel sorry for you! I feel sorry that you think age discrimination is a joke! That this company does not respect me!

And to show this disrespect to me, they have me facing this jobber! I am a champion damn it and I demand someone who is going to give me a real challenge! Not some dude who looks like he could be a member of Mötley Crüe! I want….

[Having heard enough from Lee Wright, DDD attacks him forcing Lee to drop the microphone in the ring. As these two men start to brawl, Referee Michael Bull picks up the microphone and hands it to the ring announcer. This match is actually enjoyed by the NYCW fans, as both men seem to get in an equal amount of offense. Finally Lee Wright was able to gain the upper hand and he got the victory via the pinfall.]

Winner: Lee Wright

Time: 5:10

Rating: D-

Mitch Naess: Lee Wright got an impressive victory tonight over Dazzling Dave Diamond.

Rock Downpour (snickering): Yeah old Lee still has it in him.

Herb Stately: Laugh all you want about Lee’s age Rock, but know this we are all getting older with every passing minute and that could very well be you in a couple of years.

Rock Downpour: True that. But my body told me when to retire in my prime. I didn’t go on wrestling after my days were numbered.

Mitch Naess: Talk about numbers, our next match is going to be a Tag Team Fatal Four-way Elimination match and the winners of this match will earn the right to face our tag team champions The Gang of New York at next month’s Battle For New York. Let us go back down to the ring for the wrestlers introductions.

Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Elimination Match (The winners earns the right to face NYCW Tag Team Champions at next month's Battle For New York):

The North American Connection vs.

vs. New York City's Finest: Tag Team Division vs. Wiley Coyote

[The North American Connection have already come down to the ring while the announcers were talking.]

[The Sting are the next team to come out from the backstage curtain and the are immediately greeted with the You’re a big baby (which is directed at Roger) chant from the crowd. On there way to the ring, Sammy the Shark looks into the camera and says, “Living Large baby, living large!” Roger dose not acknowledge this as he has a look of determination on his face as they enter the ring.

Once inside the ring Sammy walks to the middle of the ring and spreads his arms apart looking very much like the Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro. While Sammy stands next to him showing off his deck of cards.]

[On Fire by Lloyd Banks starts to play as New York City‘s Finest: Tag Team Division make their way to the ring. The fans have yet to think of a clever chant for these two men. However, they do voice their hatred of them by booing them as they make their way into the ring.]

[Finally, the Theme from the old television show Raw Hide starts to play. With that Wiley Coyote, one of the most popular tag teams in NYCW today, step out from behind the backstage curtain. This fan favorite duo high five various fans as they make their way into the ring. Once inside the ring, Coyote climbs the ropes, lifts his head up and howls. The crowd responds with howls in kind.]

[The match starts off with Kirk, Sammy, Trent, and Wiley starting it off for their respective teams. Trent and Kirk fight each other, while Wiley and Sammy go at it. Sammy actually gets the upper hand in his battle with Wiley and toss him to the floor outside of the ring. Upon doing that, Sammy helps Kirk with Trent. The heels spend a vast amount of the opening part of this match working together. Often throwing one fan favorite out of the ring so that they can double team the other fan favorite inside the ring.

This tactic works like a charm as the heels effectively hold the upper hand throughout the first five minutes of this match. In fact, it is due to these tactics that the first elimination happens. Sammy throws Coyote Dynamite to the floor and then he and Frankie Perez use work together to beat down Colin Shea. Sammy pins Colin and referee Michael Bull makes the three count. Thus eliminating The North American Connection at the five minute thirty seven second mark in the match.

While Sammy is celebrating the elimination of Colin and Trent, Frankie Perez comes up from behind and schoolboy pins him. Roger Dodger is to late in his effort to breakup the pin attempt as referee Michael Bull makes the count and The Sting are eliminated from the match at six minutes and five seconds. Roger and Sammy are livid at the betrayal by their allies. They even getting into a bit of a shoving match with New York City’s Finest before leaving they ring.

The match is now a regular tag team match between Wiley Coyote and New York City’s Finest. At this point both Wiley and Coyote are gassed. And it is clear that the fans are not at all into to the match either as their mood seems to have been brought down. Despite these facts the match does go on for another five minutes after The Sting were eliminated. The ending of the match happened when Frankie Perez distracted the referee and Kirk Jameson went into his tights to retrieve a foreign object. Kirk then proceeds to use said foreign object on Coyote Dynamite, knocking him out. Kirk then pins Coyote Dynamite for the victory.]

Winners: New York City’s Finest: Tag Team Division

Time: 11:31

Rating: E+

Mitch Naes: New York City’s Finest will be taking on The Gang of New York at next month’s Battle For New York.

Rock Downpour: Man is that match gonna be a war!

Herb Stately: I can’t wait for Frankie and Kirk to put an end to those pieces of garbage that we call tag team champions. It looks like Honest Frank and his associates are going to take over NYCW! Proving once and for all why they are called New York City’s Finest!

Mitch Naess: Speaking of Honest Frank, he is in our next match. Let us go down to ringside for our next match.

[brendan Idol actually gets to come to the ring with a proper ring introduction for the second time in two months! The fans actually give him more of a response this month, so maybe Brendan is starting to get over with the NYCW fans.]

[Fleetwood Mac‘s Little Lies starts to play on the sound system as a visibly pissed off Honest Frank makes his way to the ring. The chants of You’re A Liar starts the moment the crowd sees Frank. Frank is sans New York City‘s Finest tonight. Honest Frank is so angry that he does not even pay attention to Front Row Franny. Instead he storms into the ring and walks over to the ring announcer and grabs the microphone.]

Honest Frank: As a man of honesty, a man of integrity, a man who has high moral standards, it pains me to hear you slanderous troglodytes call me a liar month in and moth out. Then to top it all off, someone in the back keeps on playing that infernal song insinuating that I, Honest Frank am a liar!

In the past I have threaten to go into the production truck and beat up the sound person. However, I have since come to the realization that that would do me no good. Therefore, I have decided to add the soundperson to my lawsuit against you the fans of NYCW wrestling!

[brendan Idol gets a microphone of his own and says:]

Brendan Idol: Man can you shut the hell up? People paid to see wrestling tonight and not hear some dude whine about his entrance music!

[The crowd go nuts upon hearing what Brendan had to say. Honest Frank is livid that this young man had the audacity to interrupt him.]

Honest Frank: You just made the biggest mistake of your life by interrupting me boy! And that’s the honest truth!

[Frank charges at Brendan as referee Michael Bull motions for the bell to be rung to officially start the match. This match is not a total squash as most of Brendan‘s matches are, as Brendan gets in some offense at the beginning of the match. However, Frank had his way with young Brendan for most of the match. Finally, Frank nailed Brendan with the Frank-N-Hurter and pinned him for the victory.]

Winner: Honest Frank

Time: 6:57

Rating: D-

[Honest Frank leaves the ring as Land Mass comes lumbering down to the ring. Once Land Mass enters the ring referee Michael Bull flees, leaving Brendan Idol to fend for himself against this angry behemoth. Land Mass proceeds to brutally and quickly attack Brendan Idol. After he has doled out enough punishment to Brendan Idol, Land Mass stares down at Brendan’s lifeless body and smiles while licking his lips.]

Segment Rating: D

Mitch Naess: Why does Land Mass have this strange obsession with Brendan Idol?

Rock Downpour: I don’t know man but it is weird. I mean what does this cat think he is proving by constantly coming out and attacking a man who he outweighs by two hundred pounds?

Herb Stately: He does not outweigh Brendan Idol by two hundred pounds. If anything, Brendan Idol outweighs Land Mass by a good fifteen pounds. Therefore, Land Mass is just issuing a preemptive strike against someone the outweighs him.

Mitch Naess: Well you and Land Mass can keep telling yourselves that, but we have to move on to our next match which is a match for the Tri-State Regional title. Let us go back down to the ring for the wrestler’s introductions.

For the Tri-State Regional Title:

[The Masked Mauler makes his way down to the ring, still without any music, because even though his tag partner is no longer in NYCW, Masked Mauler still has to keep up his Old School principals.]

[Jimi Hendrix’s version of The Star Spangled Banner starts to play and out steps the reining Tri-State Regional champion, American Machine, much to the delight of the fans. As Machine makes his way down to the ring he slaps the fans hands.

Once American Machine enters the ring, Machine hands over his Tri-State Regional title to referee Michael Bull who then proceeds to walk over to The Masked Mauler’s corner and show the Mauler the title. After showing Mauler the title he walks to the center of the ring and holds the title above his head for all those in the crowd to see.]

[This match is a back and forth affair, proving to the NYCW crowd why the Mauler has gotten a shot at the Tri-State Regional title. Despite putting on a good effort, at the end of the day the NYCW fans just do not think that the Mauler deserves such a shot and this match brings the crowd‘s mood down. What brings the mood down even further is the fact that this match goes over the ten minute mark. The match finally comes to an end when American Machine picks up Mauler and gives him the Old Glory Slam (sidewalk slam) and pins him for the victory.]

Winner and still Tri-State Regional Champion: American Machine

Time: 10:32

Rating: E +

[American Machine is celebrating his victory, when The Big Problem jumps him from behind. Big Problem proceeds to beat American Machine down, until NYCW officials pull him off of American Machine. The Big Problem grabs a microphone and yells:

The Big Problem: Tonight I am putting you on notice Machine! I want your belt and there is noting that you can do to stop me!

The Big Problem leaves the ring and the battered champion lay on the canvas as the EMT’s NYCW check on him.]

Segment Rating: D-

Mitch Naess: Wow what a statement The Big Problem just made!

Rock Downpour: Yeah but the dude had to sneak attack Machine in order to gain the upper hand. Where is the honor in that?

Herb Stately: Honor? Honor? This is professional wrestling we are talking about here! There is no honor, it is kill or be killed environment here. And what about New York City’s Finest? Tonight they have shown why they are a force to be reckoned with here in NYCW!

Mitch Naess: Indeed they have Herb…no let us go back down to the ring for our next match between Whistler and Land Mass.

[Land Mass‘ theme starts to play over the sound system as the 433 pound behemoth from Tulsa, Oklahoma slowly makes his way down to the ring. The crowd starts an “F**k you Land Mass!” chant. Land Mass does not looked pleased with this chant.

The ring announcer, makes the mistake of announcing Land Mass‘ real weight, which causes Land Mass to come over and threaten him. The ring announcer corrects himself and announces Land Mass as being the best cruiserweight in wrestling today. Land Mass smiles at the ring announcer and gives him the thumbs up.]

[The theme song from Kolchak: The Night Stalker starts to play over the sound system and out steps Whistler. He is waving the American flag and he yells out, “Hoooooooooo!” He gets a little further down the aisle and says, “USA! USA!”. The crowd answers him back as they chant USA in unison.

Whistler stops in front of Front Row Franny, who has put a Whistler‘s nation t-shirt over her famous bright yellow shirt, he looks at her give her a hug and turns around and looks in the camera giving the camera a thumbs up. And for all those who say Whistler is stupid, well they will have to shut up this month as unlike in the past, this month he hands the ring attendant his American flag before he enters the ring.]

[This match is unlike any other Land Mass match in recent memory as he does not dominate this match as he usually does. In fact both he and Whistler get in an equal amount of offense. This match is so good that the NYCW fans do not yell boring once during it. One could point to the fact that Whistler and Land Mass seem to have great chemistry and thus it showed in this performance. The match came to an end when Brendan Idol came out to ringside, which distracted Land Mass long enough to be hit with Whistler‘s finisher Rebel Yell, Whistler earned the victory via pinfall.]

Winner: Whistler

Time: 5:49

Rating: D

Mitch Naess: Well it looks like Brendan Idol got a little measure of revenge against Land Mass by causing Land Mass to lose.

Rock Downpour: Yeah man, but my question is how is that dude still walking after the brutal beat down that Land Mass gave him earlier tonight?

Herb Stately: Who knows. One thing I do know is that Brendan Idol just did a very foolish thing. I thought he was smart enough not to provoke Land Mass.

Rock Downpour: Hold up man! For the past couple of months Brendan Idol has had to endure beat down after beat down at the hands of Land Mass. So I think it is safe to say that Brendan has already provoked Land Mass. As to what he did in the first place…well only Land Mass can answer that question.

Mitch Naess: While we ponder just why Land Mass is going after Brendan Idol, let us turn our attentions to this video that was sent to us from Sam Pratt. Sam is currently at his home in Denver, Colorado where he is recovering form the injuries he sustained at the hands of Mr. Salazar and Mr. Jiminez at last month’s Gang Wars.

[We are now taking into what appears to be the living room of Sam Pratt. Sam is sitting on a black leather couch. Sam is sporting a nasty looking shiner under his left eye and his ribs are all taped up from the beating he took at the hands of Mr. Salazar last month.]

Sam Pratt: Mr. Jiminez back in the day you were like a brother to me. You, Chris, Aaron and me had some really good time back in the day up north. And then you turned on us…you try to pit us against each other. You planted lies and rumors in our heads. You split up the brotherhood between Chris, Aaron and I.

And then after you split us up you left, you went down to Puerto Rico with your tail between your legs. Once you left, my friendship with Chris was in shambles. Mr. Eisen no longer saw a need for Aaron and I and so we were canned because of your antics!

Jobless, I decided to try my hand in New York City, a place were if you can make it there you can make it anywhere. And you know what? I was doing just fine until you showed up. Now don’t get it twisted, I love to taking my aggression and hatred out on you for all the things you have done to me personally.

By the looks of it you don’t like me beating the crap out of you. How else can you explain why you brought in your buddy Mr. Salazar? Mikel you are nothing but a chump! A coward, who is to afraid to face me like a man! So you bring in your boy Mr. Salazar to do your dirty work, while you and J-Ho stand far away and watch him beat me down.

But you know what man? It’s all good in the hood! Because you aint the only person who has friends. I got friends as well. Friends who would drop whatever they are doing just watch my back. I have one friend in particular who also has a score to settle with you. Let me just say that my friend is a big dude, some would say he is Jumbo and my Jumbo friend has agreed to join me next month in a match with you and your boy Mr. Salazar! So Mikel if you can read between the lines you know exactly who is coming to kick your ass next month!

I have one more thing I would like to say before I finish, remember two months when you offered me a chance to get out of my match with you? Well I am not so kind, if either you or Mr. Salazar decide not show up next month my boy and I will come looking for you and drag your asses down to the ring!

Segment Rating: E+

[The camera fades, and we are now back inside of the announcer‘s booth.]

Mitch Naess: Well it looks like the war between Sam Pratt and Mr. Jiminez is about to get hotter!

Rock Downpour: Yeah man, and if this Jumbo friend is who I think it is, Mr. Jiminez and Mr. Salazar are in for a rough night next month!

Herb Stately: Sam Pratt is an ignorant fool! I don’t care who he brings in next month! Does it really matter who this Jumbo friend is? At the end of the day Sam Pratt is and always will be a loser and I tend to think any friend he can dig up is a loser as well. There is not one person that Sam Pratt can bring in that will help him in his war against Mr. Jiminez and Mr. Salazar!

Mitch Naess: Speaking of Mr. Salazar, he is in our next match which is our main event of the evening. Gentlemen, what are your takes on the main event?

Rock Downpour: Well, the champion certainly is gonna have his work cut out for him tonight as Mr. Salazar is one big dude. In the end I think that the champ will retain. I wonder if Mr. Salazar took Honest Frank up on his fifty-four dollar and twenty seven-cent bounty?

Herb Stately: I can’t see why he wouldn’t. That is a lot of money down there in Puerto Rico and Mr. Salazar would be wise to take Honest Frank up on that offer. Now onto my feelings about the main event…I think that the much larger Mr. Salazar will have his way with that Michael Bolton look-alike. I do not think he will win the title tonight as I believe he will take Honest Frank up on his rather lucrative offer.

Mitch Naess: Well we are about to find out. Let us go back down to the ring for the wrestler’s introductions.

For the Empire Championship:

Mr. Salazar with Joanne Rodriguez vs. Steve Flash

[ Puerto Rico by Eddie Palmieri starts to play as Joanne Rodriguez steps out from behind the backstage curtain. She is dressed conservative this month as she is wearing a short sleeved black t-shirt and a tight pair of jeans. J-Ro is quickly followed by Mr. Salazar who seems to be getting some cheers from the crowd, probably form the DAVE fans in the crowd, but he is mostly booed. J-Ro and Mr. Salazar enter the ring and wait for Steve Flash to come down to the ring.]

[The houselights dim, and there is a hush that comes over the crowd as everybody in attendance awaits the arrival of the Empire Champion. Finally Jumping Jack Flash by the Rolling Stones starts to blare across the sound system. The spotlight shines on the wrestlers entranceway, Steve Flash soon appears from behind the backstage curtain.

While he is not limping he does make his way to the ring slowly as if to suggest that he is still feeling the effects of the various beat downs that he has suffered at the hands of New York City’s Finest over the past couple of months. The crowd goes nuts for Steve Flash as they start to sing along with the Rolling Stones hit.

When Steve enters the ring he does his usual climbing of the ring ropes and holding the title over his head. As Steve climbs down from the ropes, the house lights come back on slowly. Both men go and stand in there respective corners staring each other down. NYCW senior referee Michael Bull gets the Empire title from Steve Flash.]

[After the in ring introductions the ring announcer, referee Michael Bull holds the Empire Championship Title above his head and then proceeds to show each side of the ring the title so the fans can see the title. He then pauses in front of the challenger, Mr. Salazar, and shows him the title.

After handing the title over to the time keeper, Michael Bull motions for both of the competitors in tonight’s match to come to the center of the ring. The ring announcer stands behind Michael Bull and holds the microphone underneath the arm of Michael. Flash has his normal deadly serious look on his face as he comes face to face with his challenger. Mr. Salazar looks like he wants to kill the champion.]

Michael Bull: Okay gentlemen, we went over the instructions in the back and I expect a good clean fight. Any questions?

Both fighters shake their heads no, as they keep their opponent’s stare.

Michael Bull: Okay then shake hands and return to your respective corners.

[steve Flash extends his hand for Mr. Salazar to shake. Mr. Salazar looks at Steve‘s extended hand and just walks over to his corner.]

[The match begins and right for the start it is apparent that these two men just do not click in the ring and thus this match came across as being a bit awkward. However, that fact was not going to put a damper on NYCW fans as their love for Steve Flash had them over looking the faults of this match.

One thing that was noticeable was that J-Ro did some good work at ringside while cheering on Mr. Salazar. This match was fairly back and forth and even though it went on for sixteen minutes plus the fans were into it all of the way. The match actually came to a rather abrupt end when Honest Frank rushed into the ring and attacked Steve Flash right in front of referee Michael Bull. This causes Steve Flash to retain his title via the disqualification.]

Winner and still Empire Champion: Steve Flash

Time: 16:47

Rating: D+

[After the match is over Mr. Salazar and Honest Frank continue to beat on Steve Flash. Until a chair wielding Whistler comes down to the ring to save his friend. The screen fades to black as Whistler checks to see if Steve is all right…]
