Men At Work defeated the Barrio Brothers when Mark Starr pinned Ricky Santana after a double axe handle from Kanyon in 3:26(D-)

I really wish you could have done a write-up for this.

WCW Monday Nitro Week Two March 1996

We open up, with Mongo staying up for about a minute to run down the card. They talk about the epic Ric Flair against Loch Ness match for tonight. Mongo steps out to get replaced by Mike Tenay for the first two matches. YAY! Now if we can only make this arrangement permanate. Fire Mongo, feed him to Loch Ness, I don't care right now, but he's been bad over the past few weeks.

WCW Cruiserweight Title Tournament Semifinals:

Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Jushin Thunder Liger(w/Sonny Onoo)

The winner of this match advances to the finals at Uncensored. The match was as good as you'd expect, especially when the fans got into it. Rey dove onto the floor, wiping out Liger with a somersault plancha. Rey throws Liger in but misses a splash, allowing Liger to take control. Rey takes a few sick moves, including a brain buster that bounces him into the air. Liger sets up Rey for the Liger Bomb but Rey counters with a rana in mid run to score the pin! Okay, that was awesome. Rey is going to Uncensored. He's been impressive to say the the least in this tournament and the final at Uncensored to crown the first Cruiserweight Champion should be good.

Winner: Rey Misterio Jr(5:43, C-)

RAW Spoilers during the last match via Bischoff. Let's take a look at what happened on that show.

-The Smoking Gunns defeated Savio Vega and Isaac Yankem to retain the WWF Tag Team Titles(This was Loch Ness level bad)

-Duke Droese and Bob Holly defeated the Godwinns when Holly pinned Phineas with the springboard dropkick(Er, yeah, this happened during the same time as Badd and Malenko.)

-Fatu pinned Jeff Jarrett with a splash from the top rope(Fatu is making a difference... in the number of people who switch from RAW to Nitro)

-Diesel pinned Razor Ramon with the Jack Knife Power Bomb(KLIQ POWER!)

Ric Flair cuts a promo about his match with Loch Ness tonight. Flair's had to climb some mountains in career. He's had watchable matches with a green as grass Lex Luger, El Gigante, and Kerry Von Erich when he was likely on every drug imaginable. And no doubt many more tough challenges. But tonight, Ric Flair, has the toughest challenge of his entire life, when he attempts to carry Loch Ness. Flair talks about how he was wining and dining in the back. Better save some of that wine for later, Ric, something tells me that you're going to need it. Flair says he will be Nessy tonight and will beat the Giant at Uncensored. You know, this has to be some kind of masterstroke by Hogan to get the title back somehow. No wait, hear me out.

1)Flair gets the belt, when people talk about how Hogan has overstayed his welcome.

2)Hogan arranges to be in an Uncensored main event against a heatless slug

3)Uncensored bombs.

4)Hogan says it's because Flair isn't catching on as champion.

5Hogan gets the belt back.

Conclusion, Hulk Hogan is the smartest man in wrestling. Well, to an extent. He can't be that smart if he's setting himself up for a Pay Per View Main Event with Loch Ness. I guess Zeus was unavailable.

WCW Cruiserweight Title Semifinals:

Johnny B. Badd(w/Kimberly) vs. Dean Malenko

Wow, this was quite the match. Badd's best match since the match with Pillman last year. Top Rope Frankensteiner wipes out Malenko but Diamond Dallas Page comes out to harass Kimberly. Badd goes after Page and Malenko delivers a belly to back suplex, to take control. Malenko goes for the Texas Cloverleaf but Badd rolls him up for a two count. Left hook but Page is on the apron. Page is knocked out with the lft hook, with Malenko dropkicking Badd from behind and then grabbing in a double chickenwing, before backsliding him for the pin! Malenko is in the finals at Uncensored, to face off againt Rey and of course he was going to win, because Page and Badd had already been announced in a 2/3 Falls Grudge Match.

Winner: Dean Malenko(6:08, B-)

Randy Savage cuts a crazed promo about his I-Quit match against Brian Pillman. Savage says Pillman will have to kill him before he says those words. Savage says Pillman has entered his world and at Uncensored, Pillman will be forced to live the life of the madness. Savage destroys a dummy dressed up like Pillman with a chair and yells that Pillman will regret costing him the championship at Superbrawl. Savage is out of his mind...which made this a great promo. An I-Quit match between two insane men who may be too crazy to quit, but one has to!

No Mongo's back!

WCW Television Title Match:

Sting vs. Arn Anderson©

Slow and awkward match to say the least. Anderson was stalling. You might have been flashing a neon sign that advertised what the finish was on the screen. Anderson throws Sting into the post and beats on him. Armbar but Sting fights out, as Mongo says Sting's fighting for Luger. Stinger Splash in the corner on Anderson but Anderson avoids the Scorpion. Second Splash is avoided is avoided and Anderson hits the Spinebuster. Sting kicks out. Anderson takes forever to go up top and Sting superplexes him. Sting rolls over and applies the Scorpion Deathlock, slowly turning Arn Anderson over. Anderson is in the Scorpion and the referee checks but the bell rings. Yep, time limit draw, folks. As if you couldn't tell for the two and a half minutes worth of action in a ten minute match. The rest was stalling. I like Sting and Anderson but this was not one of their better matches.

10:00 Time Limit Draw(C+)

Sting and Arn Anderson in a no time limit match has been added for Uncensored, for the WCW Television Title.

WCW Saturday Night this weekend, the only wrestling show on the weekend that matters. Eddy Guerrero and Sting team up in the main event to face off against Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit. Alex Wright meets Brian Pillman, The American Males take on the Steiner Brothers, Meng takes on Sgt. Craig Pittman, Brad Armstrong against Lord Steven Regal, and more this Saturday on the mothership. 6:05 PM Eastern, on WCW Saturday Night.

Coming up next, the moment of truth. Is Ric Flair God or just another mere mortal? Find out as he takes on the 7 foot, seven hundred pound Loch Ness, in a non title match.

Ric Flair vs. Loch Ness(w/Jimmy Hart and the Taskmaster)

Well if you ever wanted to see Ric Flair basically wrestle himself for five minutes, this is the match for you. Ric Flair attacks Loch Ness at the bell but Nessy fights back with the slowest punches ever. Flair bounces into the corner off of them and charges Loch Ness, but gets back dropped. Well in theory at least. Flair basically runs, jumps and flips over the shoulder of Loch Ness as he stands there immobile as usual. Loch Ness picks up Flair and slowly walks into the corner. Flair throws himself into the corner and Flair Flips himself over the buckles. Loch Ness waddles over and slowly extends his arm, for Flair to bump into and take a bump off the ring apron. Bischoff and Mongo are putting over the brutality of Loch Ness and Heenan just barely commentates but from what little you could hear, you could tell he wanted to kill himself. Sullivan rolls Flair back into the ring, because Loch Ness navigating the ropes and the steps twice in a short period of time is just a disaster waiting to happen. Loch Ness jabs Flair and Flair flops right onto his face. Flair is up, begging off and Loch Ness grabs him and applies a bearhug. Flair screams in agony, selling this weak resthold like the most vicious thing ever. Bischoff says that Flair's back might be injured. I sure say it is, from trying to carry this goof to a decent match.

Flair thumbs Loch Ness in the eye and goes up top. Loch Ness walks over and Flair could have actually hit something off the top about three times in the time it takes Nessy to walk over. Loch Ness goes to slam Flair off the top and Flair does most of the work. Flair screams that his back is broken! Loch Ness waddles over and grabs Flair by the throat. Loch Ness can't get Flair off the ground because he's too blown up and Flair leaps off, before taking a back bump. I'm pretty sure Loch Ness's hands were no longer around Flair's throat when he hit the canvas. Loch Ness steps back, slumped over, sweat dripping down his face, breathing heavily. He is against the ropes and he steps forward, before he measures Flair. He goes to drop the Hogan Killing Elbow but Flair manages to trip Nick Patrick, pulling him into the way. OH, MY GOD, NICK PATRICK IS DEAD! Loch Ness just dropped all of his weight on the back of Nick Patrick's neck! In comes Arn Anderson, to drag Flair to the floor to save from him from a further beating but it will be a while before Loch Ness gets himself off the canvas. A second referee comes out to basically throw out the match. Word is that Flair for once put his foot down about doing a clean job. This is the man who once jobbed the NWA Championship to Ronnie Garvin, so think about thtat for a second.

So, in conclusion, this is the best match of Loch Ness's career and the worst match of Ric Flair's career. But Flair somehow got the crowd into this match, because normally you hear crickets chirping and the fans are dressed as chairs when the Loch Ness wrestles. So that's a win. Final verdict, Ric Flair can carry Loch Ness to something passable.

No Contest(5:30, C)

In walks the Giant. Arn Anderson goes after the Giant but he gets wiped out. Flair looks from the ring where Loch Ness is and the Giant is on the ramp. He's basically trapped and he rushes the Giant, but gets grabbed by the throat. The Giant throttles Flair as he is hoisted up into the air. Choke Slam right on the carpeting! Flair bounces off the floor as the Giant stands tallk over Flair as the announcers talk about Uncensored.

Oh and an update, Nick Patrick in fact survived having all seven hundred pounds of Loch Ness falling on him but he has to be hurting like hell right about now.

Show Rating: C+

Nitro beat RAW 3.39 to 3.20. Another victory for Nitro.
