There is no real back story just the fun of being able to live the attitude era again. The roster had some of the greatest wrestlers of all time, some of the greatest storylines of all time and included the greatest rivalry ever WCW V. WWF, RAW is War V. Monday night Nitro. Jim Ross: Welcome to RAW is WAR I’m Jim Ross here with Jerry “The King” Lawler and tonight is the first raw of the New Year. The King: That’s right JR and I hope we get to see some puppies! JR: Is that all you think about King? The King: Is there any thing else? JR: Not to you King, but for the fans lets go down to the ring and see the opening bout. Kane V. Justin “Hawk” Bradshaw Kane dominates the whole match and wins with a chokeslam in 3:34 Winner: Kane Rating: C JR: Well King, Kane had no problem with Bradshaw. King: No but did you expect him to? JR: Well I guess your right King. The Rock is backstage with Michael Cole. We go backstage and see The Rock standing with Cole. Michael Cole: Thanks JR. Rock you have a match tonight wit…. The Rock: With the Show Stopper right Cole? Cole: Yes you ar.... Rock: I know I’m right I always am, but tonight The Rock has a big challenge in front of him. The Rock has the WWF Champion one on one. Well you know what Michael Cole The Rock is the most electrifying man in Sports Entertainment. The Rock is the best damn thing since sliced bread and tonight The Rock starts the New Year 1 and 0. If you smelllllllllllll what The Rock is cooking. (B- Wow that’s low for the rock) Steve Austin V. Owen Hart They really click when it comes to working in the ring. Austin controls the first few minutes but all in all it is a pretty balanced match. But Hart had too much of Austin and hit him with a low blow to end the match via DQ 12:42 into the match. Winner: Steve Austin Rating: B JR: Stone Cold is mad about that King and I don’t think that these two have finished there feud here tonight. King: Hart made a big mistake JR, you don’t mess with the rattlesnake unless you want top get bit. JR: And Owen ran like a scolded dog after he did it to. Commercial After the break DX is standing in the ring Triple H: Shawn did you hear The Rocks promo earlier? HBK: Some of it couldn’t help but to go to sleep though. HHH: Yea, I know what you mean. The Rock sounds like an over educated caveman. HBK: Hey Billy didn’t you date one of those before? Billy Gunn: Well that’s a long story but yes…but I thought it was a women. HHH: That’s just disgusting. Was it Chyna? HBK: Haha haha that’s a good one hunter. But anyway the reason I’m out here is to tell The Rock that if he beats me he will get a shot at my title. (B) Ken Shamrock V. Jeff Jarrett They didn’t click in this match. Ken really ended up dominating this match. Although Jarrett got some offense Shamrock ends it with a Belly to Belly Suplex for the pin 15:44 seconds into the match. Winner: Ken Shamrock Rating: C+ JR: Ken Shamrock beats Jarrett pretty easy; I think that Ken could be a contender for the WWF Title if he keeps this up. King: Yea JR: What’s wrong King? King: We’re more than half way through the show and no puppies! JR: Yes I know maybe next week. King: But nobody really cares about Mable V. Johnson can we replace them with divas? JR: I think it’s a little to late for that king. Mable V. Ahmed Johnson The crowd wasn’t happy seeing either one of the men fighting and it brought there mood down. Mable got tired and that made the match drag more. Johnson finally wins with a sloppy Spinebuster at 11:32 for the win. Winner: Ahmed Johnson Rating: D- Farooq comes down to the ring looks at Mable then at Johnson. Farooq: What the hell was that? That was the worst match I’ve ever seen. You both are not in the Nation any more. (D+) JR: Wow King, Farooq just kick Ahmed Johnson out of The Nation of Domination King: Can you blame him? He wanted to see puppies too. JR: It’s time for the main event King: woo, I’m ready for this. Shawn Michaels V. The Rock These two starts off even The Rock send HBK to the corner and runs and hit’s an elbow. The Rock the does a DDT on Michaels. HBK hops back up though and catch The Rock off guard with a quick arm drag followed by an elbow drop. Shawn picks him up and hits with a fierily of punches ended by a dropkick to finish him off. He then gets to the corner and waits for The Rock to get up. He’s tuning up the band he goes for the Sweet Chin Music and hits. 1...2...3 Winner: Shawn Michaels Rating: B JR: well that’s all for tonight folks thanks for watching RAW is WAR. JR: Welcome to Raw Is War, tonight we have a good show tonight isn’t that right King. King: Yes it is JR, but guess what. JR: What? King: Still no puppies. JR: Yes it’s sad, let’s get started. Kane V. Bart Gunn Kane beats the hell out of Gunn in this match but drags the match out to put poor Bart through hell. He finally ends in at 12:59 with a chokeslam. Winner: Kane Rating: C JR: Kane picks up his second straight win here on Raw. He looks unstoppable. King: But he really hasn’t faced anybody JR. JR: Yes but the way he’s done it is impressive enough. Paul Bearer grabs a mic. Bearer: Kane would like to open a challenge to anybody in the WWF to face him next week on Raw. It doesn’t matter how old how young how big or how small. (B) The New Age Outlaws V. The Headbangers for the WWF Tag Team Championships. This match was slow starting but picked up later on Mosh under formed in the match as did Road dog. But at the end Road dog picked up the win 12:50 into the match with a piledriver on Thrasher. Winner and STILL Tag Team Champions: The New Age Outlaws Rating: D+ Commercial Break As we come back on the lights go out and The Undertake appears in the ring. Undertaker: Michaels tonight you step into the deadman’s playground and face me and The Rock in a two on one match. Listen to me Michaels I don’t like nor do I like The Rock but I want a shot at your title at the Rumble so I talked to Vince and if I pin you tonight I will get my title shot and you will Rest In Peace! Rating: B+ King: JR if I was Michaels I’d be out of here. JR: Well King, I can’t say I’d do any different but Taker means business. Owen Hart V. Ken Shamrock Good match these two have good chemistry in the ring. Ken got a pretty good pop from the fans and Owen had the most heat so far tonight. Owen wins with a Sharpshooter 9:45 into the match. Winner: Owen Hart Rating: B- After the match Stone Cold is seen making his way to the ring but is stopped by Vince. Vince: Steve, stop right there. If you go out there you will be suspended without pay. You already have a rematch next week on Raw. Austin: That son of a bitch hi me with a low blow last week spit in my face you expect me to not do nothing? Well Vince I don’t take orders from nobody and that’s the bottom line cuz Stone Cold said so. Austin then hit’s a Stunner on Vince and heads to the ring. Hart had seen what was happening a left the building making Austin even madder. (B) King: Wow that was mistake by Austin JR, next week I’m sure Vince will do something about this. JR: Yes, but now its time for the main event. Shawn Michaels V. The Rock and The Undertaker Shawn Michaels and Chyna are an awkward pairing; they just have no chemistry whatsoever. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler have pretty good chemistry when calling matches together. This match lifted the crowd. The Rock and The Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels in 15:44 when The Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels by pin fall with a Choke Slam. The Rock and Undertaker After last weeks win HBK has evened the odds as HHH joins him. Ken Shamrock V. Barry Horowitz Shamrock tries to get back on track with this match. Mankind V. Goldust These two will squre off for their firstmatchs of 97 Kane V. Vader Austin V. Hart DX V. Rock/Undertaker Shamrock V. Horowitz Mankind V. We cut to the ring. King: Everybody this is my favorite part of being in the WWF…Puppies! Ladies come on. Sable and Dawn Marie come out show there bikinis King: Wow, I thing the winner is…..Sable (C-) Kane V. Vader This match was pretty good; Kane looked very good and showed great agility. Vader also looked good and was on game. The match ended when Kane Chokeslam Vader for the win. 13:41 Winner: Kane Rating: B- JR: Kane is till on a roll King; can anyone stop him? King: It’ll be tough no doubt JR but it will happen some time. JR: Well he sure did make beating Vader look easy and we’ve seen what he’s capable of. King: Oh yes I’m not saying he’s not looking impressive I’m just say it will have to end sooner or later. Ken Shamrock V. Barry Horowitz This was pretty much a basic squash match. Barry comes end gets beat up for 4:06 then gets pined after a belly to belly Suplex. Winner: Ken Shamrock Rating: C- The camera cuts to the parking lot as we see Owen Hart getting out of his car. JR: This man is going to face Stone Cold live tonight with Vi… Stone Cold comes out from behind a dumpster and assaults Owen Hart with a steel chair. Stone Cold: Listen here you stupid son a bitch, you don’t cross Stone Cold Steve Austin unless you’re ready for me to open a can of whop ass on you. Tell your little buddy Vine that goes for him too. (B) JR: Well Austin is pissed at Owen and Vince and Owen just got beat like a government Mule out in the parking lot. King: Like he told Owen you don’t cross Stone Cold. Owen still has face Austin tonight. JR: Next we have Goldust V. Mankind Goldust V. Mankind This match was excellent. From beginning to end it was just fantastic, Goldust got his good amount of offense in but at the end Mankind won with a Double Arm DDT at 13:36 Winner: Mankind Rating: B+ JR: After this break we will hear from The Rock and The Undertaker. King: That should be interesting. Commercial We come back with Taker and The Rock standing in the ring. Rock: Finally “The Great One” has come back to Charlotte North Carolina. Tonight will be epic, tonight will historic, tonight you have “The Great One”, and “The Phenom” teaming up one more time to face the two stupidest wrestlers in the WWF DX. Tonight me and my good pal taker are going to show these two jabronis who’s the best in WWF. Undertaker: Let me make one thing clear Rock, I’m not your pal the only reason I’m teaming with you at all is to get my shot at the WWF Title at the royal Rumble and that’s it. Rock: Hey easy there big guy, you know deep inside you love The Rock. Oh I can see you idolize The Rock, you wise you had the great looks that I do. But its ok big guy you can tell it everyone sees it in your eyes. Undertaker: Look Rock, you are thirty seconds away from being tombstoned in this very ring. As for DX Hunter I don’t know how you got into this but tonight I will personally make sure you are out of this picture. As for you Rock we are good for tonight but don’t get in my way. (A) Steve Austin V. Owen Hart This match was also very good really a back and forth with Vince really being on Harts side as expected. But Vince gets Stunnered and another ref has to come out and finish the match. Stone Cold hit’s a Stunner to end the match at 11:56 Winner: Stone Cold Rating: B+ JR: Next is the Main Event of the night. Let’s go down and see. The Rock/the Undertaker V. DX This was the best match of the night and really stole the show. Taker punished HHH and The Rock did really good also. DX didn’t go down without a fight though and fought to the end. The concept is that the Main Event will be a “Thanksgiving Massacre” match which will be two three men teams one from WWF and one from ECW will face off in a Steel Cage Hardcore Thumbtack match.
