WWE Monday Night RAW

Huntsville Fairgrounds

Big Show versus Hornswoggle

Big Show is really off his game tonight and has to resort to grabbing a handful of Hornswoggle’s tights to get the victory here.

Big Show defeated Hornswoggle in 18:29 by pinfall after a Chokeslam with a handful of tights.

Match Rating: C+

After the conclusion of the match Shawn Michaels comes to the ring and yells at The Big Show, making him angry. HBK announces that Jericho and Show will be defending the Tag Team titles at Survivor Series against D-Generation X. The fans are clearly excited by this announcement by HBK and the prospect of seeing DX make their in-ring return. The WWE Champion Randy Orton then comes to the ring and tells Michaels that he beat him last night, and will find out in the next match who his opponent is at Survivor Series in the Number-One Contenders match between Carlito and Evan Bourne.

Rating: C

Festus comes to the ring, but is soon interrupted by Jack Swagger. Swagger struts to the ring and tells Festus that it’s unfair he’s headlining RAW tonight against Randy Orton. Swagger tells Festus that he’s better than him, and that he should find four other partners, from any shows, and that they will compete against a team of Swagger’s choosing in a traditional Survivor Series match at Survivor Series. Swagger then pushes Festus and a fight nearly breaks out before the pair are separated by Legacy, Hornswoggle, Jim Duggan, Jamie Noble and Kofi Kingston.

Rating: C

Mark Henry comes to the ring and says that he will win the US title from The Miz at Survivor Series, but is very underwhelming and the fans don’t seem to support Henry as much as he would like. John Cena then comes to the ring and announces that Henry isn’t the only one challenging for a title in a Triple Threat match at Survivor Series. Cena says that he has been added into the WWE title bout at Survivor Series, which will now consist of Orton defending against both Carlito and John Cena.

Rating: B+

Non-Title: Melina versus Alicia Fox

Brie and Nikki, The Bella Twins, come to the ring. Brie takes a microphone and says that the pair are making progress, but they’re still not winning matches. Brie tells Nikki that they really need to work together in order to make something of themselves in the WWE.

Rating: D

Gail Kim then comes to the ring and tells The Bella Twins that she appreciates both of them as Divas, and as athletes. She says that they need to be focused, and that as a former Champion she will help them learn how to be successful in this company.

Rating: D-

Jillian versus Kelly Kelly

Michael Cole notes that Jillian and Kelly were both unsuccessful last night at Bragging Rights but that both Women will be looking to getting another Divas title shot as soon as possible. Jillian gets the victory in this one after grabbing a handful of Kelly’s tights.

Finally, Santino Marella tries to help his fallen allies, but he too receives an RKO from the WWE Champion.

Rating: C

Maryse then comes and joins Randy Orton in the ring. She says she loves Championships and looks forward to Survivor Series when she becomes Divas Champion again. Newcomer Sonjay Dutt then comes to the ring and congratulates both Orton and Maryse, wishing them both the best of luck at Survivor Series.

Rating: B

Non-Title: Randy Orton versus Festus

Jerry Lawler notes that Orton will have a tough test at Survivor Series as he defends his title against both Carlito and John Cena. Orton gets the cheap victory here after using a foreign object.

Randy Orton defeated Festus in 10:38 by pinfall after using a foreign object.

Match Rating: B-

I thought this was a good show. Carlito certainly has the test of his life as he challenges for the WWE title at Survivor Series.
