SWF Sunday Slamfest

From: San Francisco, California. 5,000 Attendance

WK 2 January 1976

The scene starts out in the parking lot. We see Teddy and Joey Flame walking in from the parking lot. They are talking about something. They enter the building and out of no where Ace McQueen and Black Jack attack. Both of the Deadly Gamble team are wielding flapjacks and beatdown the Flames. Black Jack is holding Joey Flame as Ace McQueen puts Teddy Flame through a table. Ace then dumps a garbage can on top of Teddy Flame.

Ace McQueen: You want a answer boy. We accept.

Black Jack: We're gonna make you famous again punks.

Both begin to laugh as they walk out of the scene. The camera shifts back as Joey crawls in pain to check his unconscious brother.

The usual SWF promo video plays and we come out of the promo and scan the crowd who are fired up tonight. We come to the announce table.

Richard Eisen: Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome again to the number #1 wrestling show in America. Sunday Slamfest, once again I am joined by my colleagues Bob Johnson and Chaim Silverman.

Chaim Silverman: Well it looks like we and those dumb Flame brothers got the answer to last weeks question. It looks like at SWF Collision we will get The Blazn' Flames vs Deadly Gamble for the SWF Tag Team titles.

Bob Johnson: Deadly Gamble could have just said the accept the offer. But no, they decided to be cowards and attack the Flames before saying anything.

Chaim Silverman: Cry me a river Bob. For the last several weeks The Flames have been antagonizing Deadly Gamble. They brought this on themselves. Now they wanted a answer, they got a answer.

Richard Eisen: Folks we are just weeks away from SWF Collision. And already it is shaping up to be a good one. The Blazn' Flames appear to be defending their belts against Deadly Gamble. But thats not all. I have been informed that this will be the main event, Rocky Streets who won the right to be the number #1 contender against Hagar Erickson with his win at King of the Squared Circle. That match has indeed been signed. Speaking of Rocky, I see he is making his way down now.

(Rocky Streets comes out to a chorus of cheers. He high fives some of the fans before coming to ringside. While waving at the others he says thank you to many of the fans.)

Rocky Streets: Thank you, Thank you to all of you out there. The last couple of weeks have really been absolutely the best to me and my family. After spending a life time and traveling up and down these roads because of you, the fans, I have finally won a major title. But I don't plan on stopping yet. Hagar Erickson you have a world of talent in you brother. But you have aliened yourself on the wrong side. I side I have spent a lifetime fighting. At SWF Collision, it will be a collision alright. I'm coming at you with everything I have brother. You can't stop destiny.

(With that he drops the microphone and walks away.)

Richard Eisen: That is gonna be a good one.

Chaim Silverman: Destiny, he wants to talk about destiny. Go ahead and talk, Hagar backs up his words with action.

Bob Johnson: And now it's time for our first bout.

Bob Johnson: Is it safe yet?

Chaim Silverman: Hahaha, Bob's been hiding down there the entire time. Hahaha.

(We come out of commercial to here Star and Stripes forever being played. The Masked Patriot comes out draped with the American Flag across both shoulders as fans begin to chant USA! USA! USA!)

The Masked Patriot: That right USA! USA! USA! Baron, what you did last week is the mark of a bully. Bullies you see are scared. You must be scared of me then. I am on a mission right now. A mission like we were on in WW2. We had to rise up and stand against the bullies of the world. I feel it is my patriotic duty to stand up to you. And once again this flag that I am carrying will be raised along with my hand in victory!

Richard Eisen: The gauntlet has been laid out. The Masked Patriot is on a quest to rid us once and for all the scourge that is known as Baron Von Rambis.

Ares Aegaleus: Congratulations Rocky on another lucky win. But you see just like America, your luck is about to run out. Your not going to defeat this man at Collision. This man is going to dismantle you. And send you to the retirement home where you belong.

Hagar Erickson: UPH! UPH! Guess who? I said guess who won the battle royal at King of the Squared Circle? Me, not you. I don't want to get personal with you or any other wrestler who thinks they are gonna take this title. But your not gonna shuffle me as just another wrestler you think you can beat. UPH! UPH! Now you just step aside and let a real champion show you how its done.

<p>Glad to see this bad boy back.</p><p> </p><p>

Now, onto the tips. Purely from my own deluded mind ©®</p><p> </p><p>

Tips:</p><p> </p><p>

Sid Streets - see, because I'm from the mean Streets myself, so we have that in common</p><p> </p><p>

Crippler Ray Kingman - The other dude is going to struggle, while he may have the sense of smell and hearing and touch, sight is important in a brawl...</p><p> </p><p>

Bobby Linquist - See, because I am part Scandanavian and that just sounds Scandanavian. Am I alone in loving Swedish blondes?</p><p> </p><p>

Rick Rumble - To me, a guy whose last name is Rumble has to win. It'd be like a guy whose last name is Powerslam or Jackhammer, you kinda expect them to do it.</p><p> </p><p>

Corporal Doom - that never sounds nice... Corporal Doom. Can't be good.</p><p> </p><p>

Chief Two Eagles - two in the bush is worth one in the hand...</p>

<p><strong>Rip Chord:</strong> What the hell do you think you are doing down here?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

This day is just turning out to be freaking lovely. Rip is just lambasting me for running a show in the heart of Texas Wrestling League. So I guess if the tables were turned I would probably do the same thing. But you know what I just don't care right now after the day I am having.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Me:</strong> Rip, Look our current employers aside OK, I don't care how you feel right now. Business plan for us is running a show where ever we darn well feel like. It was your regions turn. It ain't personal, it's business. And you and your current employer better get with the times or you both will be a footnote in history. I would love to debate with you Rip on what my company should do next but I don't have the time right now. I am off to steal the next superstar of this company. I think he works for you right now, Good day. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

And with that I hung up. That should keep him busy for a day. I was not signing anybody, but the mere thought in his head would have Rip chasing his tail trying to find out the truth. But this day has turned out to be crap all day. I have been on the phone with several network officials on trying to secure a new time slot for Slamfest. I pitched idea after idea and just kept running into roadblocks. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The reason for looking for a new slot you may ask? Well after being one of Sports America's top rated program for the last couple of quarters. They are looking to resign us again for two more seasons. OK whats the problem? They want 100% of the advertisement revenue. Oh and we get the added bonus of footing a 100% of the cost of making Slamfest. Oh joy where do we sign at?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Well I did say at the start of me taking this job at Supreme that we would be at war. The problem is that most everybody we have approached who could step in right now and be a star has just remained loyal to the current employers. I do have a few who have signed with me but they are on a pay per appearance and are floating in between me and their other employers. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

But this will not matter. If Texas Wrestling Federation gets a TV time slot, that will be the time I strike them. I don't have their top tier workers, but a few people I do have could but a hamper on them. I will simply pick the meat off of the bones before crush them. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Ah but how do I break the news to Mr. Eisen about the TV situation? I need some aspirin this is gonna be a long day.</p>

COMMERCIAL:"Give a whoot Don't Polutte. Or Chief Two Eagles will visit you."

Want to see a Pro-Wrestling event live? Don't even think about American Express. Visa, it's where you want to be!

We come back from commercial and see Powerhouse Patterson walking back stage and turns the corner. Ares Aegaleus and Hagar Erickson are there discussing something but stop as soon as they notice Powerhouse Patterson.

Ares Aegaleus: Nice win. (snickers)

Powerhouse Patterson: Yo sucka, When are you gonna give me a shot at that belt yo man is holding?

Ares Aegaleus: Well we are pretty booked up right now. We head to Europe tomorrow, then a quick stint in Africa. After that is Asia. Then we got Rocky Streets, so as you can see we are pretty busy right now.

Powerhouse Patterson: So yo sorry butt is chicken then?

(Hagar takes a quick step towards Powerhouse but Ares sticks his arm out to stop him. Ares starts to talk to Powerhouse Patterson and begins to poke him in the chest.)

You had how many opportunities against Micky Starr? And failed each time. And now you want yet another shot at the world title. Stand in line with the rest of the cronies.

(Powerhouse Patterson is just staring at his chest where Ares had been poking him. He glances at Ares, then his chest again. He starts to make a move but Hagar Erickson lays him out with the worlds title.)

Ares Aegaleus: I don't think so.

(Ares and Hagar walk away and leave Powerhouse Patterson crawling on the floor.)

Bob Johnson: I don't think I have ever seen Patterson knocked down that quick before.

Richard Eisen: How wise is it to make even more enemies as you prepare for title defenses tonight and abroad? Let alone defending against Rocky Streets at SWF Collision. If he still has the title by then.

Chaim Silverman: Sometimes when your the big dog of the pack you have to deminstrate your against the pack of dogs behind you.

I win, you get out of my way and let me go after the world title. What do you say Patterson? I'll be waiting.

Glad to see this bad boy back.

Now, onto the tips. Purely from my own deluded mind ©®

Tips:

Sid Streets - see, because I'm from the mean Streets myself, so we have that in common

Crippler Ray Kingman - The other dude is going to struggle, while he may have the sense of smell and hearing and touch, sight is important in a brawl...

Bobby Linquist - See, because I am part Scandanavian and that just sounds Scandanavian. Am I alone in loving Swedish blondes?

Rick Rumble - To me, a guy whose last name is Rumble has to win. It'd be like a guy whose last name is Powerslam or Jackhammer, you kinda expect them to do it.

Corporal Doom - that never sounds nice... Corporal Doom. Can't be good.

Chief Two Eagles - two in the bush is worth one in the hand...

Thanks my freind. Hope you enjoyed the show. Your picks always brings a smile out of me.

Thanks my freind. Hope you enjoyed the show. Your picks always brings a smile out of me.

Always enjoy your shows, bro. Infact, I even gave it a plug in mine simply because it deserved it ;)

Chief Two Eagles - You might be able to catch one bird, but if there's two around they'll peck your eyes out until you submit for mercy

Streets of Rage - I'm tipping them out of a tip of acknowledge to High Voltage, and me old mate, Robbie Rage

Papa Voodoo and Identity Black - I'm a firm believer if you have white face paint, you win. Sting anyone?

Keno Isozaki - When an Oriental wrestler comes complete with sunglasses, you know he's good... It's a proven science.

Tyson Lang - Because ... Well, because I pity the other foooooool.

The more I read of this, the more I love it because you capture the era. You have defined that its more traditional in its element so you have more purpose in your matches, and the ring pyschology you type out brings the stories to life. I loved the segment where you had the trophy presentation post match, and a short interview, because that's classic traditional promotion work.

If I could nominate for a grossly undervalued diary going around today, you'd be first second and third. Rest assured, I am completely and utterly engrossed! Keep up the outstanding work.

I'd have to agree with Tristram. I started reading this yesterday and came back this morning and ate the rest in one serving. Just so nostalgia-tastic.

(and for the entirely fake universe that we work with, that's a pretty cool feat)

Really looking forward to this going forward.

Kudos.

Very kind words. I really don't know what else to say. I hope I live up to the hype. But you know me, I'll keep plugging along. After a conversation with you we had awhile back I did some reflecting. I actually like my little world I have created. I think it shows on my presentation. Sometimes I fight with myself on how to put it into words. But of my failed works in the past it was I who failed, not my readers. This time I am bound and determined to explain better on the why and the who.

Welcome NoNeck. It makes me happy to know that another esteemed writer has looked at my work. I hope you enjoy what I have planned down the road as well.

Slamfest has been wrote and will be posted Sunday. I also have SWF Collision 75% wrote, and SWF Slamfest after Collision about 50%. But I'm not liking a few segmants on Collision and will be rewritting them. I might be shutting down for the week of Christmas so I can work on Collision alittle better. I will say this. This was my highest rated event so far into my game. I want to try and reflect that on my posting. Thanks again for anybody who is stopping by and reading. And my many thanks for posters as well.

SWF Sunday Slamfest

From: Spokane, Washington. 3,757 Attendance

WK 1 Febuary 1976

Richard Eisen: Welcome back to another great night of entertainment that only the Supreme Wrestling Federation can bring. I'm Richard Eisen and joined as always by my broadcast team of Bob Johnson and Chaim Silverman.

Bob Johnson: Hello Spokane and to you folks at home. I have it on good authority that our president Antonio Moretti will have an announcement about the main event tonight.

Chaim Silverman: I hope he does the right thing and gives Hagar Erickson a chance to rest before Collision.

Bob Johnson: Speaking of Collision, we are just one week away from Collision. Richard do you have a quick run down on the action we have lined up?

Richard Eisen: I most certainly do Bob. We will see the SWF Tag Team belts defended as The Blazn' Flames are set to defend against the former champions Deadly Gamble. Also slated to wrestle, The Masked Patriot battles Baron Von Rambis. Just signed last week, Powerhouse Patterson battles Micky Starr for the right to be called #1 contender to the SWF World Heavyweight title. We will witness a return match as Rick Rumble defends the North American title against Identity Black. And last but not least, Rocky Streets will face the reigning SWF World's Heavyweight Champion, Hagar Erickson.

Bob Johnson: Sounds like a action packed night for sure folks.

Antonio Moretti: Thank you, thank you Spokane. I have watched the footage from last week and it got me thinking. After being put in an awkward position a few months ago that left me with no other recourse but to award Hagar Erickson as champion. A very unpopular move to be sure. Now I have a chance to make it even. Hagar Erickson, you want to go around and flex those mighty muscles of yours so much. Well beware my friend, sometimes these things come back to bite you. You will face the team of Micky Starr, and your opponent at SWF Collision, Rocky Streets. (crowd cheers.) And your partner? MMM, lets see, oh how about Powerhouse Patterson!

With that Ares Aegaleus storms out from out back.

Ares Aegaleus: What do you think you are doing Antonio? You are supposed to be president, you are to preside impartially and enforce the rules. You know my man Hagar Erickson is scheduled to fly out tonight to Italy to defend the SWF World's title. This is wrong.

Antonio Moretti: Your wrong Ares, and I am truly sorry you feel your lackey, I mean the current SWF Champion is being treated unfairly. But you see I have already placed the call rescheduling the date for Hagar's appearance. Oh and one more thing. While I am thinking of this. You are being banned from ringside tonight.

SWF Security and official come out and surround Ares. He protests the decesion but eventually succumbs to Antonio's will. The crowd yells with their approval.

Baron Von Rambis defeated Chief Two Eagles in 7:47 by submission with a Big Russian Bearhug.

Chief Two Eagles is being brutally attacked by Baron Von Rambis in the ring. Baron Von Rambis positions The Chief for what appears to be a piledriver, when suddenly, from out of the back, The Masked Patriot comes charging down the aisle to the ring. As the fans hurry The Masked Patriot on with their cheers, He slides into the ring, charges over to Baron Von Rambis... grabs the wildly kicking legs of The Chief and presses down with them as Baron Von Rambis crashes down with the piledriver.

Richard Eisen: What the heck?

Chaim Silverman: I knew this was going to happen. I just knew it.

As the cheering slowly begins to turn to howls of outrage, The Masked Patriot and Baron Von Rambis pick The Chief back up and deliver a second Spike Piledriver. Just as the move connects, a swarm of under carders storm into the ring and chase off the dastardly duo. As the two make their retreat The Masked Patriot pulls off his mask to reveal,,,,,Corporal Doom.

Richard Eisen: Corporal Doom is the Masked Patriot?

Bob Johnson: No, it cant be. Not quite the same body frame but for a quick second they both do look alike. Besides that Masked Patriot would never stoop to that kind of low.

COMMERCIAL:

Can't sleep because of a cold? Try Ibuprofen Nite-Time. It's doctor recommended!! It's the only thing that can tame a headache the size of Hagar Erickson.

"Give awhoot Don't Pollute. Or Chief Two Eagles will visit you."

Richard Eisen: Wow I cant believe the start we have had tonight. Antonio Moretti has ruled Ares Aegaleus must not be at ringside tonight. And also set up or main event tonight as the team of Micky Starr and Rocky Streets battles Hagar Erickson and Powerhouse Patterson.

Had every intention to post up Collision by now. But the Flu bug has bitten me hard. And I was it was the brown bag flu. As they say DOO DOO happens.

Will be returning as soon as I can. Hope everybody had a great New Years.

Ouch, I can't think of anything more annoying. Wish you all the best for a speedy recovery.

Anyhow, tipperoos

Micky Starr - because it's Christmas, and the lad was born in a story revolving following some stars and such to a manger

Chief Two Eagles - because despite the heinous attack, he still has both his eagles and that to me spells success. I loved the 'borrow the other dudes mask' routine coincidentally, it's in my top 5 favourite WCW moments when Dean Malenko won the Cruiserweight Battle Royal to get a shot at Chris Jericho, whilst wearing Ciclope's outfit. Also, another ripping WCW moment was La Parka beating Randy Savage... except it was DDP under the outfit. Yep, great times at Ridgemont High.

Deadly Gamble - by DQ. If I were the Blazin Flames, and I'm not thankfully as I don't think I could sustain the beating they received... I would listen to the oft told Kenny Rogers song. You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run... now to me, this is a time to run, but I don't think they're going to listen to Kenny Rogers so instead see what I think is going to happen is Deadly Gamble are going to lie, cheat and steal and get caught.

Rick Rumble - a long running champion whose just to a newcomer but still holds the belt spells "I win"

Baron Von Rambis - was it wrong for me to mark out for all the evil Russians back in the day? "Sickles all around".

Feeling alittle better guys. So this will be the last cheap bump out of me before posting Collision. I have rewrote some portions 3 times and still not happy with it. I am really trying to pull off a great show to capture the grade I got out of it. So by the time it will be posted I hope all of you enjoy it. I will post two shows this week as I try to get back to my schedule. Collision should be up no later than Thursday night at the latest. And then Slamfest will be up on it usual posting date on sunday. Thanks to all for the patience and there is still time for some predictions if anybody else wants to throw some ideas out there.

Micky Starr: Don't play mind games right now. You know they don't work on me this close to a match. The deal is if I win, you stay out of my way while I go for the title. But if, and I mean a big if, you win I promise to stay out of your way.

Powerhouse Patterson just stands there for what seems to be an eternity.

Powerhouse Patterson: I can't stand you. I stood in your shadows for how long? But if it takes my word for you to get out of my way while I chase that title you so claim is yours. Fine you fool. Ya got my word. Now get in that ring so we can finish this thing once and for all.

Bob Johnson: Come on, we need some help down here!

Babbette is screaming as the High Chief is holding her so she has no choice but to watch the dismantling of Rumble. Sam Sparrow has had enough as he orders any further action by Identity Black will result in a reverse decision. Only then is order slowly restored.

Richard Eisen: Philadelphia it has been a great night so far would you not agree?

(Cheap pop but worth it I thought to give more time to allow Rick Rumble to be carried to the back.)

Richard Eisen: Well we are not done yet.

Bob Johnson: Philadelphia, we have got two great matches left tonight. Rocky Streets and Hagar Erickson in the main event. And I am told both men are chomping at the bit backstage to get their hands on one another.

Richard Eisen: But up next folks, the cold war heats up.

I came into SWF headquarter with game plan already set in my head. I know today, I have to be on my game if I am going to pull this off. Richard Eisen has been very testy for a few weeks now, probably set him off with the whole TV situation where we lost our revenue from those jerks at Sports America.

I ask my assistant Chad to help carry the mounds of tape and some other documents I have to Mr. Eisen's office. He is just concluding his weekly meeting with the merchandise dept.

Richard Eisen: Anybody want to guess who was last month's top merchandise seller? Micky Starr again. Followed by Rocky Streets and Hagar Erickson. How can the world champion be that far down the order?

Me: That's gonna change. We need alittle more time to build Erickson as a true world champion. Hopefully with his win over Rocky Streets it will bump that credibility up. You had three years to work with Starr. I won't need that many to build up multiple top draws here Mr. Eisen.

Richard Eisen: On what grounds? Thats a boast full statement if I ever heard one.

Me: Last years top 100 list. How many of our workers went up in the poll? How many new listings?

Richard Eisen: Your right, sorry. Guess I should be in a great mood. You seen the new financial reports?

Me: I have, we made up the ground lost November and December and now have more money than what I started with back in September of last year.

Richard Eisen: What do you have in the boxes? I smell some more changes coming my way.

Me: Indeed you do. But I need you in a clear mindset. So if you will give me a few moments here while I get things situated I want to run this idea by you.

I get the projector set up and film loaded into it. And I have Chad turn off the lights. The tape is from Harlem NY. Harlem Wrestling Alliance to be process. The film is not great but gives a very raw glimpse of the work done. Several times there was a noticeable gasp from the hardcore fighting, but mostly on how god awful most of the workers were. But the audience didn't care. They were eating it up left and right. The fans that were there only numbered maybe 200 tops. But they were clearly passionate about what they were seeing. After the film was shown we turned on the lights.

Richard Eisen: What the hell was that? Sure had some good looking kids but my god how unprofessional. No wander they are going out of business.

Me: Was.

Richard Eisen: What do you mean was?

Me: I present to you you newest acquisition. HWA, a new training ground for us.

Rocky Streets: We don't cater to the same fans. How is this going to help us?

Me: Well, we tinker a bit with their presentation. They keep some of the founding elements to who they are. But we introduce our own elements and send some of our guys down there to train. Its like this, we see somebody who just has a certain look, or just has that little something extra on the stick what ever the case may be. We send them there to smooth over the roughness. If he can make it there, then coming here should be a breeze.

Richard Eisen: How much is this gonna cost me?

Me: Up front, $4,746 dollars. We pick up the bills. But also keep any money that is actually generated out of that place. Realistically I don't expect much revenue. I am just looking at a place to help train some young workers who have the talent. But we don't have enough TV time to help develop them.

Richard Eisen: Who do you have in mind to help over watch them? Ain't you plate full enough as it is?

Rocky Streets: I think I better start looking at apartments in Harlem I think.

Me: You like wings? I got the place for ya.
