WWE Wrestlemania XXVI 3/28/10

An extensive video package is aired, hyping up all the events leading up to tonight’s broadcast and all of the big main events.

Pryos go off, as the returning Jim Ross comes out to much fanfare, to join Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole at ringside for this show. Ross shakes hands with Cole and Lawler and says its good to be back and just in time for the biggest show of the year. And we’re going to kick things off big time with the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Eight superstars from RAW, Smackdown, and ECW battle for a title shot of their choice between now and Wrestlemania 27, whether it be for the WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, or the ECW Championship.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match:

Big Show vs. Booker T vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Evan Bourne vs. Matt Hardy vs. R-Truth vs. Ted DiBiase vs. Zack Ryder

The fans cheer as all eight men battle, with the Big Show standing in the corner, pretty much beating on anyone who comes near, before Evan Bourne and R-Truth hit him with a double dropkick, sending him to the floor. Zack Ryder beats on Booker T with a series of chops on the arena floor, before Booker is hooked and tornado bulldog off of the ring apron! Ryder celebrates, as he goes for one of the ladders on the ramp but Danielson leaps over the top rope, wiping out Ryder with an elbow suicida, knocking the ladder right into his face. Danielson picks up Ryder and hammers him across the head. Matt Hardy and Ted DiBiase are brawling around the ring, as Evan Bourne dives onto the Big Show, but Show catches Bourne and slams him right into the ringpsot. R-Truth manages to catch the Big Show with a springboard dropkick over the ropes! Meanwhile, Danielson is in the ring and he grabs a ladder, sliding it into the table. He sets up the ladder in play in the center of the ring. Danielson climbs the ladder, making his way up but the Big Show grabs Danielson, hoisting him onto his shoulders and Big Show falls backwards, ramming the spine of Danielson into the canvas. Back into the ring, with DiBiase and Hardy, with Big Show headbutting away on them, knocking them backwards, but Booker T is back into the ring, hammering away at Big Show.

Booker T and the Big Show brawl, with R-Truth back into the ring. Jumping side kick knocks the Big Show back but DiBiase has the ladder once again, climbing up the ladder. DiBiase is making his way up but Matt Hardy makes his way up the other end, pounding away at DiBiase and hitting a Side Effect right off the ladder. Booker T and the Big Show exchange punches on the floor, as R-Truth tries to make his way up the ladder, but Ryder is back in with a springboard dropkick, knocking R-Truth off of the ladder. Another ladder is brought into the fray by Evan Bourne, sliding it into the ring. Bourne beats on Ryder with a series of jabs, before grabbing him around the head, before bringing him down with a swinging faceplant right onto the ladder! Bourne beats on Ryder, before making his way off of the ladder, but Matt Hardy fights him off. Bourne kicks Hardy and leaps off of the ladder with a dropkick, taking Hardy out. Bourne picks up Hardy, a series of jabs right to the chest of Hardy, before throwing him through the ropes. Pescado wipes out Hardy on the outside and Big Show whips Booker T right into the ringpost! Show walks over and hammers away at Bourne. DiBiase makes his way back up the ladder, but R-Truth scrambles up the other end, brawling with DiBiase on the ladder. DiBiase facelocks R-Truth, trying to hold him down, grabbing the briefcase, but Danielson climbs up behind DiBiase and hammers him, before elbowing him, causing DiBiase to slide down the ladder. R-Truth tries to get to the briefcase but Danielson knees him right in the face. Both Danielson and R-Truth are trading chops on the ladder, but the Big Show reenters the ring and casually shoves the ladder over, knocking both men off!

R-Truth bounces up and Show grabs him, before rocking him with a huge Choke Slam! Show grabs Danielson but Danielson counters with a series of elbow strikes, before hooking on a standing guillotine choke with a bodyscissors! Show is being punished severely by Danielson! The fans are getting behind Danielson but Show rushes him into the corner, ramming him inot it. Danielson is stunned and the Big Show rockets him down with a huge punch! That huge right hand that knocked many people out has just taken Danielson down! The Big Show rushes over and big boot to Evan Bourne, causing him to do a 360 faceplant right on the arena floor! Show applies a cobra clutch to Ted DiBiase, before driving him across the back! The Big Show now walks over to the ladder setting it up, before he begins climbing, but the first step collapses, causing the Big Show to go back to his feet. He is too large to climb the ladder. So Show, picks up the ladder and muscles it up, before he begins beating at the Money in the Bank Briefcase like a piñata in an attempt to knock it down! Show is not about to climb the ladder, so he’s going to try and knock the briefcase down but Booker T is back in to break it up with a Harlem Side Kick, knocking the ladder right into the Big Show’s face! Booker T sets up the ladder, which is busted but he pulls himself up! Kick to the face of the Big Show and Booker T is perched, before he hits a Houston Hangover right to the back of the head of the Big Show right off the ladder, taking the standing giant out!

The Big Show has been taken out, he might be out cold but the ladder falls over, busted up and Booker T leaves the ring to grab another ladder, but Zack Ryder waffles him with a leg lariat. Ryder enters the ring, sliding the ladder in, before hitting a running kick to the side of the head of DiBiase to stun him. Ryder has the ladder set up and he’s beginning to climb the ladder, but keep your eye on Evan Bourne. Bourne leaps off of the top rope, right to the other side of the ladder and hits a vicious spin kick, knocking Ryder off of the ladder! Ryder takes a tumble to the outside but as he tries to get to his feet, Bourne readjusts his footing, before he hits a split legged moonsault, leaping off of the ladder and over the top rope, wiping both himself and Zack Ryder completely out. That kamikaze like move from Bourne might have been enough but Matt Hardy is in the ring. Matt Hardy was busy resting, waiting for the right opportunity, and he begins scaling the ladder in an attempt to reach the briefcase, but someone runs from the back. That’s Cody Rhodes! He’s not a part of this match, what is he doing out here? Rhodes drops something in the ring and climbs up the ladder, before he begins attacking Matt Hardy. Hardy fights back and hooks Rhodes, before hitting a Twist of Fate right off of the ladder! Hardy is down and DiBiase puts what Rhodes dropped onto his hand. An illegal object of some sort and DiBiase knocks Hardy out with it, drawing boos. No disqualification in Money in the Bank, but a cheap tactic that the crowd did not appreciate. DiBiase looks to climb the ladder, but Booker T is back in with a clothesline!

All of the other men have been taken out all around the arena. It is down to pretty much down to Booker T and Ted DiBiase, barring any last minute recoveries. Booker T drills a kneelift into the stomach of DiBiase, before hitting the Axe Kick. Booker T rolls DiBiase to the floor, but DiBiase doesn’t quite make his final destination, managing to remain partially on the ring apron. Booker T sets up the ladder, that had been knocked out of position with that Super Twist of Fate. Booker T now is climbing, as the fans in Phoenix rise to their feet. They sense that Booker T is moments away from climbing up that ladder. DiBiase is back on the other end and is climbing up the ladder. He attempts to punch out Booker T with the illegal object, but Booker T blocks it and chops away at DiBiase. DiBiase loses his footing as Booker T looks seconds away from grabbing the briefcase. Booker T is about up there, but Cody Rhodes is up and he grabs the legs of Booker T. Someone get him out of there, he’s not even supposed to be in this match. Booker T kicks Rhodes off but it is all of the distraction that DiBiase needs to pop Booker right in the face with the brass knuckles on his hand! DiBiase climbs up, as Booker T lies on the canvas, completely unconscious. He reaches up, as Evan Bourne is back into the ring, but Rhodes blocks him and DiBiase unhooks the briefcase, before dropping down for the win.

Winner: Ted DiBiase(16:06, B)

Ted DiBiase is your winner and new Money in the Bank briefcase holder tonight at Wrestlemania 26, thanks to some dubious help from Cody Rhodes, not to mention a pair of brass knuckles. Regardless, he holds in his hands a shot at the belt of his choosing, good for the next year. DiBiase walks off, as we see replays of some of the insanity of this match.

We cut backstage, where Randy Orton congratulates both Rhodes and DiBiase, saying that he’s pleased they’ve finally done something right. DiBiase talks about how he can get a title shot at any point of his choosing, starting tonight and that could happen before Wrestlemania 26 goes off the air. Orton turns to talk about the Rock, not seeing the brief moment where DiBiase eyeballs the WWE Championship belt. DiBiase turns when he realizes that the camera is on him and holds up the briefcase. Orton says the Rock should know that this is a sign of things to come.

Hype for the next match, a no countout, no disqualification match for the WWE Intercontinental Title between Dolph Ziggler and Kane. The announcers talk about how Ziggler has saved his title by countout or disqualification many times but tonight, he will have that out taken away from him. He has to defeat Kane in the center of the ring or he’ll lose the title.

No Countout, No Disqualification Match for the WWE Intercontinental Title

Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler©

Ziggler tries to attack Kane at the bell but Kane pounds away at Ziggler. A huge clothesline knocks Ziggler over the top rope and Kane grabs Ziggler, before hammering away at him. Kane hoists up Ziggler over his shoulder and drops him chest first onto the barricade. A series of punches right to the chest of Ziggler, before hitting a boot right to the chest. Kane scoops up Ziggler and attempts to ram into the ringpost but Ziggler drops down. Ziggler shoves Kane shoulder first into the ringpost! Kane sells the shoulder and Ziggler beats on the shoulder, before rolling Kane into the ring. Ziggler wraps the shoulder over the ring apron several times, before he walks over, climbing to the top rope. Springboard kneedrop right to the shoulder of Kane! Kane rolls over, favoring the shoulder and Ziggler beats on the arm of Kane, before hooking the arm and leaping over the top rope. The arm has been snapped over the top rope and Ziggler enters the ring, removing his wrist tape, before he chokes Kane out! The fans are booing but no disqualification and Ziggler is taking advantage of that. Ziggler hoists up Kane and turns him over, before bending the arm back but Kane fights up to his feet.

Ziggler drills a kneelift and goes for the Zig Zag, but Kane hoists up Ziggler, hitting him with a side slam! Ziggler has been rattled and Kane climbs to the outside, top rope clothesline. Unfortunately, Kane uses the injured arm and is unable to cover right away. When he is able to, he only gets a two count. Kane picks up Ziggler and Snake eyes on the top rope. Big boot brings Ziggler down to the canvas. Kane picks up Ziggler and hammers him with forearms down across the back of the head. To the throat of Ziggler for the Choke Slam but Kane can’t get Ziggler up in the air because of the injured arm. Ziggler counters with a single arm DDT! Kane hits hard and Ziggler applies a Fujiwara Armbar, while using the ropes for leverage! The fans are booing, as Ziggler is really cranking on the hold and the referee can’t do anything because of this blatant use of the ropes, because it’s no disqualification. Kane tries to fight out, but Ziggler has the ropes scissored with his legs, putting the pressure in. Kane deflates and the challenger taps out, to avoid permanent injury.

Winner and Still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler(6:22, C)

Ziggler is on his feet drawing boos from the fans, taking the championship belt. The no disqualification rule was intended to keep Ziggler in the ring but Ziggler managed to twist the rule to his advantage and utilize the ropes to make Kane submit to that Fujiwara Armbar.

Coming up next, the WWE United States Title will be on the line when MVP takes on the Miz. Ever since Survivor Series, when MVP pinned Miz in an elimination match, he’s been chasing the title but the Miz has been avoiding MVP, until tonight of course.

WWE United States Title Match:

MVP vs. the Miz©

The Miz hits a belt shot on MVP right before the bell! The fans explode into boos, as the bell rings. Miz covers MVP for a two count. Miz bends down and hammers away at MVP with a series of punches, before picking up MVP, throwing him into the corner. Belly to back suplex brings MVP down to the canvas. The Miz picks up MVP and hammers away at him, before hitting a leaping kneedrop! The Miz grabs MVP and two snap suplexes, before the Miz climbs to the top rope. MVP is up and the Miz hits a double axe handle to MVP for a two count. Reverse neckbreaker gets a two count and the Miz throws MVP in. Sleeperhold is applied, but MVP fights out, ramming the Miz into the corner. The Miz goes for a clothesline but MVP ducks and a leaping clothesline! The fans are cheering and MVP beats on the Miz, before hooking Miz. Double underhook suplex and MVP backs off the ropes, before raising his hand into the air and yells “Balling” before dropping the Ballin’ Elbow for a two and a half count on the Miz. MVP hits a dropkick to Miz and steps back. Drive By is avoided and the Miz hits a clothesline right to the back of the head! MVP goes down and the Miz hooks MVP, pulling his opponent to his feet. Skull Crushing Finale by the Miz no MVP blocks it and counters with a bodyscissors cradle, holding down Miz for the pin!

Winner and New United States Champion: MVP(4:49, C)

MVP scrambles from the ringside area with the belt, holding it up as the Miz is enraged, yelling about a fast count but the fans pop big, as MVP holds the championship over his head, in a token of victory. Tonight, he’s beaten the Miz and recaptured the United States Championship, his third reign with the belt.

An extensive video package is shown, leading up to the ECW Championship Match, the Best Two Out of Three Falls Match between Shelton Benjamin and William Regal is shown.

ECW Championship Best Two Out of Three Falls Match:

William Regal vs. Shelton Benjamin©

At the bell, Regal tries to European Uppercut Shelton while he is distracted but the ECW Champion avoids it and Regal hits the corner. Shelton goes for a kick but Regal blocks it. Shelton snaps up and Dragon Whips Regal, holding him down for the pin! Shelton Benjamin has won the first fall!

Regal pops up, clutching his jaw. Shelton scored what was pretty much a flash pin in the early going and now Regal takes a powder to the floor to regroup, getting baseball slide dropkicked right in the face and Regal is rolled back in. Springboard clothesline by Shelton gets a nearfall. La Magistral Cradle gets another nearfall. Shelton is trying to set some sort of speed record for a best two out of three falls match, because the longer this match goes, the more this type of match will favor William Regal, especially when he is allowed to slow the pace down and ground Shelton Benjamin. Shelton beats on Regal with chops and leapfrogs over him. Regal is stunned and a pair of armdrags. Shelton beats on Regal some more and fireman’s carry takedown, right into a senton gets a two count. Shelton rolls Regal over and kneelift right to the chest. Shoved into the corner and leg lariat in the corner, sets up a Northern Lights Suplex for a close two count. The fans are chanting for Shelton, who whips Regal into the corner and ten count punches but Regal counters with an inverted atomic drop and European Uppercut connects.

Regal viciously pounds away at Shelton Benjamin, working him over and double underhook brings Shelton down. A couple of mean headbutts keep Shelton down and Regal now hoists up Shelton, rolling him to the side slightly, to really drill the knees right into the ribs. Shelton is struggling as Regal hammers away at him, with vicious, sadistic intentions in mind. Regal picks up Shelton and short arm European Uppercut brings him down. Regal kneedrops the chest of Benjamin and scores a two count A series of cross faced forearms and another two count. Regal keeps Shelton grounded with a reverse cross-face. Regal can’t afford to lose a fall, as he is down one. Regal hoists up Shelton onto his shoulder and gives him a Stun Gun which gets a nearfall. Straightjacket like submission hold, digging the knees into the back. Regal is really punishing Shelton Benjamin for sure! The fans are starting to get behind the Golden Standard, but Regal releases the hold and kneelift right to the ribs. Regal has Shelton onto the shoulders and forward roll by Regal. Shelton’s ribs might have been crushed underneath Regal and Regal with a cover. Two count.

Regal forearms Shelton and forces him down again for another cover but another two count. Regal beats on Shelton severely and into the corner hard. Kneelift right to the back and Regal has Shelton, before taking him down with a high angle belly to back suplex. Two count once again and Regal drills a series of elbows right into the face of Shelton. Regal has Shelton up and headbutt, sets up a double underhook. Right into a power bomb from Regal. He holds Shelton down in a press cover but only a two and a half count. Regal is really not too happy and he picks up Shelton, hammering away at him. Regal sets up, going for the Knee Trembler, but avoided by Shelton and sunset flip by the ECW Champion nearly puts Regal down for a nearfall! A flash pin was all that Shelton needed to beat Regal back at the Elimination Chamber and Regal hits a running knee to the ribs, before he hooks Shelton and half nelson suplex dumps Shelton right down across the back of his head! Shelton is folded up and Regal flips him over, before applying the Regal Stretch! This deadly, this devious submission hold and Regal is really putting on the pressure, scowling. Shelton might be so injured after spending time in this hold, that Regal could win the final two falls and regain the ECW Championship! The fans are booing, but cheering when Shelton is fighting the Regal Stretch. He makes it to the ropes and Regal rolls the champion over, drills a pair of elbows for good measure and covers. Somehow Shelton brings the shoulder up at two and nine tenths!

Regal backs up and goes for the Knee Trembler but Shelton ducks it. Regal comes back with an European Uppercut and a series of punches, before brings up Shelton with a modified backbreaker! Regal picks up the challenger for the ECW Championship and tilt a whirl, but Shelton counters with a spinning headscissors! Regal bounces up and kick to Regal blocked once again but Regal manages to shove Shelton right off before the Dragon Whip connects, Regal shoves him off. Attempted dropkick is blocked and Regal catapults Shelton over the top rope. Shelton manages to hang onto the top rope and skin the cat. Regal turns around as Shelton is back in and kick by Shelton right to the midsection. Paydirt, no Regal headbutts Shelton right in the face and double underhook suplex brings him. Regal is going for the Knee Trembler once again, he’s certain this is the move that will finish Shelton off. Regal takes careful aim, but Shelton catches the knee at the last second and in a flash hits a brutal T-Bone Suplex to Regal! Regal’s brains have been scrambled and Shelton makes a cover hooking the leg to score the pin, retaining the ECW Championship in two straight falls!

Winner and Still ECW Champion: Shelton Benjamin(12:43, B)

For all of the talk from one William Regal, of winning this one in two straight falls, it was turned around him. Shelton proves that his previous wins over Regal were no fluke by beating him in the most decisive way possible, in two straight falls and keeps the ECW Championship.

A graphic is shown for the Four Way Elimination Match for the WWE Unified Women’s Title, with Michelle McCool defending both of her belts against Gail Kim, Melina, and Beth Phoenix. All three women have had their share of problems with Michelle in recent months but there own desire to be the one to silence McCool has lead to some fighting between the three divas. Of course, it every diva for herself but the manipulating Michelle McCool will no doubt utilize this to her advantage.

WWE Unified Women’s Title Match:

Gail Kim vs. Melina vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Michelle McCool©

Melina starts out with Beth Phoenix. A series of punches are traded, won by Beth Phoenix, who throws Melina into the ropes and launches her high into the air with a high back body drop. Beth Phoenix hammers away at Melina some more, hitting a tilt a whirl on Melina but Melina counters with an armdrag. Melina beats on the Glamazon and into the ropes but Beth Phoenix mows her down with a vicious clothesline. Beth Phoenix picks up Melina and beats her with punches, before Gail Kim tags herself in. Gail Kim hits Springboard Dropkick on both Melina and the Glamazon, taking them out with one foot! Gail Kim beats on Melina, as Beth Phoenix is forced to exit the ring. Onto the shoulders of Melina with a rana, flipping her over onto her back for a two count. Gail Kim beats on Melina but is caught with a kneelift. A flying clothesline as Melina gives a loud ear shattering shriek! Melina beats on Gail Kim and steps back, going for the Primal Scream but it is blocked by Gail Kim, who flips over the back of Melina and hooks her, planting her with a modified version of the Back Stabber, before hooking both legs to score the pin. Melina has been eliminated!

In comes Beth Phoenix, who brutalizes Gail Kim. Cheers are drawn as Gail Kim, fights out from underneath but Beth Phoenix viciously assaults her with two clotheslines and a belly to back suplex. To the shoulders goes Gail Kim but Gail counters with a Swinging DDT! Gail Kim climbs the outside and springboard splash misses when Beth Phoenix rolls out of the way. Beth grabs Gail Kim’s arms in a double chickenwing but Glam Slam is countered with bodyscissors cradle that only holds Beth Phoenix down for a one count. Gail Kim beats on Beth and goes for a Frankensteiner but is caught and elevated power bomb brings her down! Cover on Gail Kim scores the pin! Gail Kim has been eliminated!

Beth Phoenix turns her attention to Michelle McCool, who is on the ring apron. Michelle begs off, as Beth Phoenix walks over towards her, before grabbing Michelle by the hair and dragging her into the ring. The fans are cheering, but Layla is out, distracting the referee and it allows Michelle to throw powder right into the eyes of Beth Phoenix behind the back of the referee. The Glamazon is staggered and vicious spin kick with that high heeled book brings Beth Phoenix down. Cover by Michelle McCool but only a two count! DDT gets another nearfall and now the Unified Women’s Champion goes to the outside and leaps off with a high cross body but gets caught by Beth Phoenix. The Glamazon holds Michelle up into the air high and snaps her down with a fallaway slam. The Unified Women’s Champion begs off, but nearly gets her head ripped off with a lariat. Layla steps on the apron, but Beth Phoenix just casually boots her in the chest, knocking her for a loop. Beth Phoenix grabs the champion and sets her up. Power bomb brings Michelle down. The Glamazon hangs onto the champion again and another power bomb! Layla is up, screaming at ringside for this top stop and Beth Phoenix hoists up Michelle, for a third power bomb! The fans are chanting “one more time” as the champion appears to be dead meat but the Glamazon has a devious smirk on her face, as she hoists up Michelle again and brings her down with the most vicious power bomb yet! Four power bombs in a row and Michelle McCool might be dead! Beth Phoenix places one foot on the chest of her opponent and gets the academic pin. You could really count to one hundred, this match is over.

Winner and New WWE Unified Women’s Champion: Beth Phoenix(7:01, C+)

It has been months in the making, Michelle ducking challengers left and right and getting lucky when she had to put the belt on the line, but her luck just ran out. Beth Phoenix was a woman on a mission tonight and she absolutely obliterated Michelle McCool on her path to become the new WWE Unified Women’s Champion. Michelle McCool is a broken and destroyed mess, having suffered four power bombs in a row. One power bomb would have been enough to get the pin but four in a row was Beth Phoenix making a point and getting revenge on McCool.

A look at the match between Drew McIntrye with Vince McMahon in his corner against the Undertaker with Bret Hart in his corner.

The Undertaker(w/Bret Hart) vs. Drew McIntyre(w/Vince McMahon)

McIntyre continues his beating on the Undertaker, choking and punching at him. The Undertaker begins to fight back with elbows and shoves McIntyre off. Big boot wipes McIntyre out! The fans are really cheering the Undertaker, as he picks up McIntrye by the throat, going for a choke slam, but McIntyre counters with a thumb to the eye. McIntyre drills a pair of double axe handle chops to the top of the head of the Undertaker, before climbing to the second rope and hitting a third double axe handle off of the second rope. The Undertaker is down to one knee and McIntyre kneelifts him, before applying a sleeperhold! The Undertaker may be put to sleep tonight at Wrestlmeania and the streak is over, but once again, Undertaker is fighting out. McIntrye shoves the Undertaker off and a powerslam! The Undertaker goes down and McIntyre cradles him for a two count. Spinebuster gets another two count, as does a belly to back suplex but the Undertaker won’t stay down. McIntrye rolls the Undertaker over and applies a bow and arrow submission hold. The Undertaker might have to submit and Vince McMahon takes a step towards the timekeeper, which causes Bret Hart to take a step towards Vince McMahon. Mr. McMahon backtracks immediately, as McIntyre releases the hold and punishes the Undertaker some more. Belly to belly suplex and the Undertaker is covered for another two count.

McIntyre has the Undertaker up and kneelift. Russian Legsweep brings the Undertaker down to the canvas! McIntyre picks up the Undertaker and forearms across the back. He has the Undertaker hooked and leaping Double Underhook DDT! That’s his move and McIntyre decides to pull the Undertaker up, before hitting a second Double Underhook DDT! He’s not taken any chances but he should have covered after that first one. You don’t fool around with the Undertaker, especially on this event. McIntyre has the Undertaker up and a third Double Underhook DDT, as Mr. McMahon has a pleased look on his face. McIntyre taunts the downed Undertaker, and the fans are booing. It could be the end of the streak. McIntyre bends down, hooking the leg. The Undertaker rolls the shoulder up at two and nine tenths!

The fans are chanting for the Undertaker, as Mr. McMahon is yelling for McIntyre to get up. The Undertaker gives the signal. Tombstone coming up but McIntyre manages to slide out the back door and shoves the Undertaker right into the referee! The referee goes down and McIntyre goes for a punch but the Undertaker blocks it and returns fire! Vince McMahon attacks Bret Hart from behind with a cheapshot, as the Hitman was distracted by the referee! In comes Vince McMahon, who kicks the Undertaker low from behind, allowing McIntyre to take advantage! The fans are booing as McIntyre and McMahon are double teaming the Undertaker in the center of the ring but Bret Hart is up, removing his jacket as he enters the ring. The Undertaker grabs McIntyre by the throat and Bret grabs Vince. Bret knocks Vince McMahon right out with a vicious haymaker punch! Vince McMahon goes down hard.

McIntyre manages to block the Choke Slam and clothesline the Undertaker down. McIntyre taunts the Undertaker, Which turns out to be a mistake, as this allows the Undertaker to catch McIntyre in the Hell’s Gate! By the time McIntyre realizes the predicament that he is in, its too late, the move is locked on tight. Meanwhile Bret has Vince and turns his unconscious body over, right into the Sharpshooter! Both McIntyre and McMahon have been trapped in submission holds and the referee pulls himself up groggily, as he checks with McIntyre and calls for the bell. McIntyre has submitted to the Hell’s Gate. 18-0 for the Undertaker!

Winner: The Undertaker(10:41, B-)

The Undertaker has triumphed over Drew McIntyre and kept the streak in tact. Meanwhile, Vince McMahon finally got his receipt from Montreal all of those years, by getting put in the Sharpshooter. Bret Hart raises the Undertaker’s hand, before he walks out, as the Undertaker soaks in the cheers of his fans. 18-0, a number that most certainly will never be matched and may never be beaten. Can anyone beat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26? Even Drew McIntrye, with the full support of the boss behind him, could not do it. Perhaps the streak will never been broken!

We cut to a graphic involving the next match, a Triple Threat Match between Shawn Michaels, Kofi Kingston, and Paul Burchill, where the winner will get a shot at the WWE Championship tomorrow night on RAW. This was originally to be Kofi Kingston and Shawn Michaels, but Paul Burchill found his way into the match, by beating both Kofi and HBK on back to back weeks on RAW.

Number One Contenders Match for the WWE Championship:

Shawn Michaels vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Paul Burchill

A wild three way brawl to start off this match, with Burchill gaining the advantage by wiping out both of his opponents with a vicious double clothesline. He picks up Kofi and backbreaker. The spine of Kofi just impacts right across the solid steel knee brace. The fans are getting behind Kofi but Burchill just pummels Kofi, before setting him up in a gutwrench. Right into a power bomb nearly folding Kofi up like an accordion which only gets a two count. Meanwhile, Kofi Kingston is back to his feet and Burchill drops Michaels across the knee, before he continues his vicious assault on Kofi. Raking the face, before he smashes Kofi into the mat with a huge Curb Stomp. Burchill then dumps Kofi over the top rope and running kick to the face of Shawn Michaels! Standing ten count and Burchill is back to his feet but Michaels kips up and jabs away at Burchill. Into the ropes and Michaels manages a powerslam on Burchill! The back is still killing Michaels and he climbs to the outside. To the top rope and Flying Elbowdrop connects to Burchill! Michaels to the corner and he begins to cue up the band. Sweet Chin Music coming up but Burchill ducks it and takes down Michaels with a sick neckbreaker! Michaels is down and Burchill rolls Michaels over and Curb Stomps him to the canvas, before applying a nasty neck crank! Kofi now has Burchill in the corner and dropkicks him in the corner. To the second rope and ten count punches, before Kofi turns around and hits a backspring cross body on Michaels to get a nearfall! Burchill is back into the action but Kofi quickly knocks Burchill around with chops and leaps to the top rope, before hitting a springboard dropkick! The fans are cheering as Burchill is on the floor and Kofi takes a running start, before he leaps over the top rope, without touching and hits a Cannonball like dive onto Burchill! Burchill has been wiped out on the floor but Michaels is slowly recovering from his own beating. He is on the outside, climbing to the top rope, facing the ring as both Burchill and Kofi recover. Moonsault to the arena floor on both men!

We just had two impressive moves for the Wrestlemania 26 highlight riel. Michaels rolls the first body that he can find, Kofi’s, back into the ring, before he climbs to the top rope. Flying elbowdrop onto Kofi Kingston! Michaels is a step slower, as he is back onto his feet. The fans are on their feet, anticipating some Sweet chin Music. Michaels has the move ready to go and he takes aim for Kofi Kingston but Kofi ducks the move. Trouble in Paradise is evaded as well but Kofi drills Michaels with a leaping forearm, before he leaps to the top rope facing the crowd. Michaels cuts off Kofi and climbs up for a belly to back superplex! This may look familiar to people, as this move caused a double countout in the ring for both men just weeks ago during their one on one match. Michaels has Kofi up but Kofi shifts his way in mid air, causing Michaels to take the worst of the brunt! Kofi is shaken up but back on his feet at the count of nine. Michaels is up as well and walks right into the Trouble in Paradise! The fans go nuts for that move and Kofi covers Michaels hooking the leg to score the pin, just as Burchill manages to roll back into the ring!

Winner: Kofi Kingston(12:49, B+)

Edge rushes into the ring, a house of fire, knocking Smith back with a series of elbows. He bounces off the ropes and takes Kidd off of the ring apron. Smith backs off and chop block right to the previously injured Achilles Tendon of Edge. Smith looks smug, as Edge goes down, the foot injured, apparently, that was a vicious enough shot to inflame it and Smith turns to pose, but Edge is up! Edge was luring Smith into a false sense of security and Spear to Smith! Edge covers one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions but Kidd breaks up the cover with splash to the back of Edge! Ten years ago at Wrestlemania 2000, Edge and Christian won their first set of tag team titles and now, ten years later, they are the Unified Tag Team Champions.

Orton is on the floor and the Rock follows, before he grabs Orton. A series of punches and Orton’s head bounces off the top of the barricade. The fans are cheering, as the Rock pummels Orton but he rolls him back underneath the bottom rope. Two and a half count when Orton rolls the shoulder up. The Rock pummels Orton as he gets up to his feet and he raises the peoples eyebrow. He has Orton hooked for the Rock Bottom but Orton twists in mid move and counters with a flash RKO! The fans deflate and then begin booing and Orton makes a cover. The Rock kicks out!

The fans are going nuts as the Rock has just kicked out of the RKO! Orton is beside himself and he is yelling that is “three”. Orton begins stomping the Rock, and pulls him up to give him another RKO, but this time the Rock counters into a cross-face submission hold! The cross-face has been locked on Orton! Orton is trying to fight out of this hold and he manages to roll the Rock over onto his back to get a two count, before the Rock has the hold on but Orton is in the ropes. Orton slides to the floor, shocked that the RKO did not put the Rock down. He’s won so many matches with that the Rock kicked out and as Orton turns around. The Rock leaps over the top rope with a pescado wiping out Randy Orton! That slingshot cross body block has just wiped out Orton and it might have wiped out the Rock. The fans are chanting “that was awesome” as the Rock with graceful athleticism just wiped out Randy Orton on the floor.

We see a replay of that move as both men are down on the floor but the Rock is recovering, rolling back into the ring just enough to break the count, before he rolls Orton back into the ring. The RKO failed, the punt failed, now Orton is really going to have to dig deep. Orton rolls over the Rock and applies a rear naked choke. Pinning the Rock is not enough, therefore, Orton is trying to make the Rock submit! The fans are really getting behind the Rock, trying to rally behind the Rock and a burst of adrenaline is flowing through the body of the Great One. Orton has the Rock set up and kneelift to the head, before putting his leg over the head of the Rock and hitting a version of MVP’s Playmaker. JR informs us that Orton used this move in his early WWE days and he called it the O-Zone. It just shows how deep Orton has to dig in the offense to break out his past finishers but it still is not enough to bring the Rock down. The Rock gets out at two and nine tenths. Kneedrop stuns the Rock and Orton climbs to the outside, to the top rope. Breath taking frog splash from Orton right to the Rock! Orton rolls over, he knocked the wind out of himself as well but he manages to make a cover and once again, the Rock just barely brings the shoulder up.

However, he’s not going for the cover, no the Rock is waving his arms. He bounces off the ropes and kicks Orton in the side of the head to make sure he does not get up, before hitting the People’s Elbow. The roof nearly blows off of the arena with the amount of cheers and The Rock makes the cover. Orton somehow gets the shoulder up just in time!

The Rock turns over, before looking to the sky and stomps Orton a few times, before stepping to the outside. Now the Rock is going to the top rope and Orton is on to his feet. The Rock leaps off with a flying cross body block but Orton ducks and the Rock crashes and burns on the canvas! The Rock has been completely wiped out. Orton stomps the Rock and sets him up. Orton connects with a huge piledriver on the Rock! The fans are booing, as the announcers talk about how the piledriver is one of the most dangerous moves in wrestling and how sadistic someone like Orton must be to pull it out. Orton makes the cover on the Rock and this is enough to get the pin!

Winner and Still WWE Champion: Randy Orton(24:44, A*)

Randy Orton has triumphed over the Rock tonight at Wrestlemania 26. Orton has scored perhaps the ultimate victory at the grandest stage of them all. Now we’ll never hear the end of it, with Orton scoring the win. Out comes Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase to celebrate with Orton. DiBiase has the Money in the Bank briefcase in hand and stands behind Orton, clutching the briefcase, but nothing occurs. Orton and the Rock threw everything they had each other, in perhaps one of the greatest matches in Orton’s career, if not the greatest, and Orton had to use a sickening, dastardly move, the piledriver, to get the win. The Rock is just slowly moving, his fingers twitching, about five minutes after suffering that piledriver, as medics come down. Orton holds the WWE Championship belt over his head as we see replays of what was a war. They will be talking about this one for a while. The fans are giving the Rock a standing ovation, as he slowly gets to his feet, favoring his neck. This might be the last time we see the Rock in a WWE ring, but he has proven that he can still go with the best and Randy Orton is in fact the best. You have give Orton credit, he has proven that he can retain that WWE Championship without help from Legacy.

Getting the microphone, Punk says(in a pained voice), that the Game threw everything at Punk but yet Punk’s straight edge lifestyle protected him and gave him strength, seeing him through. Punk smacks the microphone over the head of Triple H, causing a loud thump to echo across the arena and now Punk is the one choking Triple H, with his own wrist tape. Punk also wants to make a statement and what better way to do it then by ending the career of Triple H at the grandest stage of them all.

Punk picks up Triple H and kicks him right in the head. Another kick is blocked and Triple H fights out from underneath. Double leg takedown and Triple H begins punching back, but a headbutt from Punk stops him in his tracks. It should be noted that there was no referee out here after Triple H brutally annihilated two. Punk hammers on Triple H and rolls him out the table. Punk reenters the ring and grabs the microphone, cutting a promo on Triple H, saying that this is for his own good and Punk steps back, before he attempts a springboard legdrop. But Triple H moves and Punk crashes through the table!

Punk is down on the table, and Triple H is beginning to recover, breathing heavily, clutching his back after the chair had been dented over it just a moment ago. Punk’s straight edge preaching was his undoing and Triple H picks up Punk, before viciously smashing him headfirst into the ringpost! Triple H picks up the piece of table and waffles Punk right in the face, drawing cheers from the fans! Punk is rolled into the ring and Triple H reenters the ring, before scooping up Punk and giving him a Snake Eyes right in the corner with the exposed buckle. Punk managed to recover long enough. His forehead is raw red from the beating but he exits the ring, before reaching underneath the ring. Triple H is struggling to his feet, as Stephanie is now on the floor, but Punk has the sledgehammer. He enters the ring and takes the leg of Triple H out from underneath him with the sledgehammer shot! He might have hit him right in the quadriceps with that sledgehammer and Triple H’s problems with his quadriceps muscle is well documented! The fans are really booing Punk now as he makes the cover hooking the leg, as a referee cautiously slides in the ring and counts the pin!

CM Punk has gotten the win after Stephanie turned on her husband. But why? Has Punk gotten inside her head and brainwashed her during the two weeks that she was kidnapped? Regardless Punk picks up the win tonight at Wrestlemania 26. Hopefully we’ll find out more about this tomorrow night on RAW.

WWE Monday Night RAW 3/29/10

A look at last night’s Wrestlemania 26 and all the big events. Randy Orton triumphing over the Rock to retain the WWE Championship, Cena beating Batista and the return of Rey Mysterio, the Undertaker keeping his streak intact, Kofi Kingston winning the number one contendership for tonight, Ted DiBiase winning Money in the Bank, Edge and Christian winning the Unified Tag Team Titles, and finally the main event, John Morrison beating Chris Jericho to win his first World Heavyweight Championship. It was a magical night as we head towards Extreme Rules on April 25th.

Out comes CM Punk, who leads Stephanie McMahon out. Last night, Stephanie turned her husband Triple H and we understand as a result of that sledgehammer shot that Punk gave Triple H right to his previously injured quadriceps muscle, he will be on the shelf for some time. Punk leads Stephanie into the ring and Punk cuts a promo, talking about how Straight Edge will always triumph. Punk says that another soul has been saved, Stephanie has seen the light and we cut to a shot at Stephanie, who is smiling, but almost like a creepy, twisted smile, with a slightly vacant stare. Punk says that he hopes that Triple H will see the light, as he is only interested in enriching the lives of the WWE Universe one by one and expunging all of the elements that taint it.

“NO CHANCE THAT’S WHAT YOU GOT”

Out comes Vince McMahon, drawing a fair amount of boos as he enters the ring but he looks rather humble. He talks about how he supports freedom of speech and people can say what they want, but there is one thing that he cannot stand. And that is someone who tries to tell other people how they act and force their values on them. McMahon says that when Bret punched him last night and was woken up in a way. He says that Punk will pay for brainwashing his daughter which Punk looks offended by, talking about how Stephanie just merely saw the light. McMahon said that even though Punk’s Kool-aid might be alcohol free, it is still Kool-aid. Punk suggests that Mr. McMahon embrace the values of Straight Edge and “if you do, you might still be able to salvage your family. I hear that most of them can’t even stand to look you in the eye and that’s because of the road you’ve gone down.” Vince steps back and he viciously punches Punk right in the face, which draws some cheers. Punk is caught off guard and Vince is stomping away at Punk, but security quickly comes out, as Punk gets up, massaging his jaw and escorting Punk and Stephanie from the ring. Vince vows to make Punk’s life miserable, starting this week on Smackdown, when he has to go one on one with the Undertaker and Kane, both of the Brothers of Destruction in a Handicap Casket Match! McMahon vows that he will have Punk beaten so badly, that he will be forced to take those pain pills that he abhors so much.

Pretty much a by the numbers diva tag team match. Jillian was double teamed for a bit before one of the Bellas was cut off and double teamed in the ring. The twins try a switch but the referee is distracted by Jillian, allowing Maryse to spray them both in the eyes, before hitting a DDT on one of the Bellas to score the pin.

Winners: Jillian and Maryse(4:42, D)

Maryse rolls to the outside, jawing with Beth Phoenix. Maryse makes some comments and Beth takes a menacing step forward, before Maryse back peddles. Once she goes up the ramp, Maryse says that she can beat the Glamazon for the title.

*************************Commercial Break**********************

The Miz makes his way to the ring, talking about how MVP got lucky last week by winning the United States Title. Tonight, the Miz will get his return match against MVP! The United States Title is coming back to him because he’s the Miz and he’s awesome!

MVP is still the United States Champion and holds the belt up, drawing a few cheers from the crowd.

*************************Commercial Break*************************

Paul Burchill makes his way down to the ring and grabs the microphone. He talks about how he was never pinned at Wrestlemania 26 in the Triple Threat Match, because HBK and Kofi conspired to take him out of the match, because they knew they could not beat Burchill. Burchill says tonight, he’s going to take his aggression out on Shawn Michaels tonight. Out comes Shawn Michaels and the match is on.

Shawn Michaels vs. Paul Burchill

Both men exchange chops at the bell, the battle won by Shawn Michaels. A series of clotheslines and Michaels beats on Burchill, throwing him into the ropes. Burchill hits a series of stomps to Michaels, before setting him up. A pair of snap suplexes and Burchill sets up Michaels, with a vicious backbreaker bringing him down. Burchill hangs onto Michaels and turns, before driving him down with two more backbreakers and steps back, before hitting a kick right between the shoulder blades. Burchill hoists up Michaels but Michaels lands on his feet and jabs away at Burchill, before hitting a flying clothesline, sending him to the floor! Burchill is on the floor and he grabs a steel chair, before he reenters the ring and waffles Michaels right in the head with a chair blatantly for a disqualification.

Winner By Disqualification: Shawn Michaels(7:59, B)

Burchill continues to hammer away at Michaels, hammering him with a headbutt, before waffling him with another chairshot! Burchill yells that he’s going to take out Michaels, before giving him a brain buster right on the chair and sets him up, before hitting a Curb Stomp right onto the chair. Burchill sets Michaels up, before folding the chair around his head. To the outside goes Burchill and Burchill climbs to the top rope, before he kneedrops the chair, causing it to snap shut right on the neck of Shawn Michaels! The fans explode into loud boos as Burchill gets to his feet, yelling that Michaels is finished and he will be noticed. Burchill walks off, as paramedics come out to check on Michaels, who is not moving after that beating. Michael Cole calls Burchill a “bully” for attacking Michaels like that with a chair.

************************Commercial Break************************

We see the beating that Burchill laid upon Shawn Michaels and then footage during the break, with Shawn Michaels getting strapped to a backboard and getting stretchered out of the arena. Shawn Michaels might have suffered severe injuries to his back and neck at the hands of Burchill.

We are back to live action, as Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes make their way to the ring, with DiBiase with his newly acquired Money in the Bank briefcase. DiBiase hints that he could cash in at that briefcase at any time, including tonight. Right now, they have a non title match with the Unified Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian and DiBiase says this could be the first step for more gold to Legacy.

The Unified Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian vs. Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes(Non Title Match)

Some brawling to start, until Christian gets cut off and double teamed in the center of the ring, with Legacy making quick tags, including a false hot tag by Christian and more double teaming by Legacy. Christian catches DiBiase with a swinging bulldog, before he makes the hot tag to Edge, who runs wild. Christian helps takes DiBiase out and Edge hits the Spear on Cody Rhodes to score the pin.

Winners: Edge and Christian(9:02, B)

Edge and Christian get the win tonight but out comes the Hart Dynasty, who are jawing with Edge and Christian. DiBiase has the briefcase and he waffles both Edge and Christian from behind with it, as the Hart Dynasty enters the ring and now Edge and Christian are beaten down five on two. Apparently, the Hart Dynasty have aligned themselves with Legacy and are beating down the Unified Tag Team Champions. Edge and Christian are left beaten and battered in the ring.

Coming up next, Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship coming up next on RAW.

****************************Commercial Break***************************

Woo Woo I Knew it...

Let me say Matt this has been a great read and if you don't mind I'm using your style in this dynasty I'm working on.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope I can maintain the level of quality over the next few months. All I'm going to say is the lead up to Summerslam should be at least interesting within the next few months and I have a pretty good idea of where I want to go for next year's Wrestlemania. And if you want to use the style, feel free.

And without further pause.

WWE Superstars 4/1/10

Evan Bourne vs. Jack Swagger

Kung Fu Wang vs. Mike Knox and Charlie Haas.

Slam Master J vs. Tyler Reks.
