  1. Now I'm eight and a half years in. Same game from the demo (so it's been 19 months in real time for me.) I've become the number one company in the world. I finally passed USPW at the end of 2027. Company has almost one billion dollars (not kidding). Just a lot of putting on good shows, investing in my own broadcaster and slowly growing it, making screwed signings and then occasionally going for big free agents (I admittedly changed Rhodes' preference to flashy once we were making hand over fist in cash). Got my Merchandise to the highest (again it helps to build a lot of stars because you get a big boost in merch). I would say now I'm on my fifth generation of TCW in mine. First Gen: Andrews, Wolf Second Gen: Chord, Gino Montero, Might Mo Third: Gen: Kirk Jameson, Dreadnought, Flynn Fourth Gen: James Adams (High Flying Hawaiian), Ranger, Frankie-Boy Fernandez, Fifth (Current): Jack Jackson, Jaylon Martins, Cooper Christie, Turk, Bryan Jewett with Papa Swoll, Spencer Edmund and David Stone I still find the game engaging because one of the good problems to have is balancing your roster (I tend to have a big one) and then deciding who you elevate. For example, for the current gen, I've spent the last two years building around Martins, Christie and Jack Jackson. In the game, those three were proteges of Mighty Mo, Wolf & Aaron Andrews respectively. But yet, there's a flaw in all of them. Cooper has gotten to 81 Psych and can generally have great matches with whoever. He's only just turned 30 years old. But Charisma is at 70 and Mic toggles between 40 and 41. Jackson has 86 Mic and 78 Charisma. But Pysch has capped out at 73 and his highest wrestling skill, Brawling at 66, is capped. Martins has 84 Charisma, 62 Mic, 72 Brawling. But his Pysch is at 79. So it's been interesting having to make judgement calls and at times scrap my plans and adjust. Like Turk just quietly becoming an elite worker (consistently scores 90 in ring rating regardless of match, 84 Pysch, 77 Charisma) and pushing through all three of said guys.
  2. The accept, deny, negotiate option sounds great. Didn't even think of that.
  3. I have no idea if this has been suggested and if so, I'm sorry. But I've been thinking about this for a bit and I'm curious to know what people think about this. So obviously when you have relationships with other companies (or if you're in an alliance) you can use their wrestlers and they can loan out yours. However, one thing I notice is one of my top guys going to a promotion (let's say Wolf Hawkins gets loaned out to ZEN) and he drops a fall on that show. In my mind, I feel like TCW would be protection over how Wolf is used and honestly, vice versa. Perhaps a better example would be if I'm CWA and I'm loaning Seiji Jimbo from PGHW. I would like to think PGHW wouldn't want their guy losing or at least if they do, to a top guy. So basically, what I was thinking is perhaps throwing a wrinkle where you can kinda "control" how your guys are going to be used when they're loaned out. And when you use someone else's wrestlings, that company could mention "we don't want this guy to take a clean pinfall" or something like that. Maybe there could be a system where both companies can negotiate how said talent can be used. Don't know if that made sense but that's what I was thinking about.
  4. Yeah I'm now officially five years into my TCW game. I'm still playing the first save I've had from the demo. And yes, Chord is incredible and you can definitely argue that he's the best wrestler in the game. He's a guarantee 90 if the matches goes longer than 10 minutes.

  6. Just like TEW2016, with TCW, depending on destiny rolls, people are going to get snatched up. I'm on Year 4 of my TCW save that I've mentioned on here(which I've still been keeping up with since the demo came out) and I'm still getting people snatched by UPSW. They took T-Bone, Danielle Sweetheart and Foxxy LaRue from me and almost took Higa, Andrews and Edd. That's even after now making 15 mil a month and editing Kyle Rhodes to not be cheap. Although with that said, I can afford to let these guys get poached because I have a lot of people with good SQ stocked up. Which is very, very, very important for TCW. Always look for people with high SQ and sign them long term. Prioritize the people you would actually want to fight to keep. As I found in TEW2016, there's found money going after the SWF and UPSW young prospects. Cooper Christie, Jack Jackson, Roderick Flack, Zeke, Hellion, Rocky Weatherford, Stevie Stanley, Whole Lotta Marvin, etc. You can scoop them up easily if you add more years and merch cut and develop them into guys that can be useful. It takes time in this game but when you get them going, you'll benefit greatly from it.
  7. Can't help but have a massive roster. In my TCW game where I'm in November of 2023, I have 108 people on the main roster. Plus, I have two development companies, people I send on excursion or NYCW. So I find it hard to trim my roster when it gets really big. I think I also struggle with gradually fazing people down as I elevate people, if that makes sense. I get really worried about workers complaining about losing to someone of lower popularity that I end up with at least 20 people who are at star level popularity. Which is a good problem, but a problem regardless.
  8. Need a team name for HalloWarped & Commander Kawagishi. They're an occasion junior heavyweight team in the main heel unit in BHOTWG.
  9. T-Bone had a cap at 70 for a year but I saw that he's starting to rise in popularity. Mo had a cap of 76 and is now up by 1 as of last month. Curious to see if anyone playing long saves are starting to see some of these caps rise.
  10. Katya is awesome. I definitely vouch for that. I like Spencer Edmund is an intriguing prospect with good SQ. Shout to Cooper Christie in UPSW. He's someone if you're TCW or SWF is worth bidding for as he's young, great SQ and you can probably get him.
  11. I should mention in my game, for a full year Greg Gauge was stuck on 70 in pop and I was resigned to just pushing him as a second tier guy. Up until about three months ago (I'm currently in July 2022.) His pop in the last three months has gone up to 82. So, like the editor says, it is possible that eventually, the cap will rise as I'me seeing currently.
  12. I had signed Samoan Pit Bulls and same thing happened to me. Toma got popped twice, so I released him. Akima, however, has produced solid mid card grades and I've kept him. Solid, underrated plug and play guy.
  13. I started with 10 women; 5 faces and 5 heels. And I just put them on the A-show. I took penalties for the crowd not knowing them but I just went with it. I also paired some of the women with stables; Becca Barton in Sinner society and Higa in the Syndicate. This helped a lot in building their popularity. Barton was the first to reach Recognizable level around August of 2020 and after that, I've been good ever seen. I'm now in March of 2022 and Higa, now leader of the former Syndicate, is 80 across the board popularity. It took a while and a lot of trial an error but this game does reward you for putting in a lot of work early on with building momentum, putting them in segs, etc, etc.
  14. Recently I ascribe to the idea that you would want all your titles to make money. It was one of the reasons after Total Mayhem I gave the Tag titles to Doc and Wolf. I don't want to burn through World title matches every PPV and the Tag Team titles are a good way to cycle my top guys out of the World title picture while giving them something to do. With the TV title, as I mentioned previously, I've used it as the T-Bone belt and he's risen in popularity. 18 combined defenses and was champion for nine of the twelve months. I actually like the idea of the TV title. For me, it's defended on TV every two weeks. 20 minute time limit. Can be defended on PPVs depending on feuds. Can cycle through lower end, mid card or even top tier guys depending on the champion. I also don't have an authority figure but a "competition committee." Which is really TCW management but they determine who gets title shots, explain why certain people got title shots. Having Jason Azaria be the person who relays information and what not (it's a good use for him as he has good microphone skills and if he's getting phased out of announcing, he still has a use being an interviewer, etc).
  15. 1) He's a personal favorite of mine. 2) He's not that bad. He has more than enough Psych and Experience (78) where he can be carried. I also like the idea of someone like him mixing it up with Andrews, Wolf, Chord, Mighty Mo, etc. The comparison I think about is Golden in TEW2010. The appeal is obvious (high SQ, popularity) but he needed to be carried a bit. Shark is the same. High menace, really good SQ, good athleticism. 3) Another thing is if he doesn't pan out, I have T-Bone, Devine, Freddy, Edd who can step right in if Shark flops. So I see it as a win-win situation. If he works out, I have someone in the main event that's different from the Andrews of the world. If he flops, he can be a solid second tier guy who's already apart of a good tag team with Titan.
  16. You wanted an update on Shark so he goes it. It's now May of 2021 and I'm three weeks away from Andrews Vs Shark main eventing. The plan has been to put the title on Shark for a while...expect now we have somewhat of a problem. Since December, Killer Shark has capped out at 70 popularity across the board. His in ring has been fair (out of 10 matches his average rating is 71, but looking at his in ring performance, usually around mid 60s, which is fine because I don't plan on him being a super worker. if he's able to at least hold his own, that's all I care about.) In angles with Andrews, the rating has been really high and he's at White Hot momentum. Reading the handbook, it does mention someone can be capped if they have poor entertainment and/or in ring skills. The pic I posted about Shark's stats remain the same, though he gained two points in stamina, which got him to 65. Looking at his entertainment skills, he's 60 in Charisma, 55 on the Mic, 51 Acting. So I wonder if this is his cap until he gets these improved. Granted, a year ago game time, I signed Skull DeBones literally after SWF took Peak from me, had him take over Sinner Society and have a hands on mentorship role in Shark so he's cutting promos for Shark(and at times Becca Barton). Point is, looks like I might just have Andrews retain. I do find this to be cool even though it's kinda ruining my plan because it's realistic, it's forcing me to look deeply into the game and it's a good challenge. So that's been really interesting to see.
  17. As I has mentioned, I held off on the match til Total Mayhem. Andrews defended against Doc, Freddy and Killer Shark leading up. Andrews beat Wolf at Total Mayhem. From that point on, Wolf as the super heel ended. He still was a heel, but slowly, he's pulling back his tendencies. Him and Doc immediately challenge for the Tag Titles and beat Mighty Mo and Tana in July. They hold them for five months before losing them back to them. Mighty Mo and Wolf then settled things at Malice 2021 in which Mo wins clean. Wolf offers a handshake to Mo, to which he accepts. This angers Doc and Higa as it goes against what the Syndicate stands for. I do s mini tournament in February to determine the next challenger for Andrews and Wolf wins. Leads to a fun build in March where Andrews antagonizes Wolf a bit for the obvious riff in Syndicate while Wolf surprisingly just is focused on beating him. Andrews retains and on the next Total, Doc, Higa and the Greatness turn on Wolf and Flynn. So now Higa is the leader and Doc is second to her and he'll face Flynn at the April PPV, then Wolf at Total Mayhem.
  18. Besides Doc, Flynn is another guy that's around 70 for me. I've tried to keep him around 60 because I'm not pushing him yet but because he's part of segs with Wolf at Doc and even Higa, he keeps rising. Devine is at a 72 and honestly before the turn, I had gotten him to a 64. Could absolutely become a second tier guy. Everyone's apparently seeing Foxx climb in popularity without trying heh so I'll mention Remus. From beginning of the game to now (March 21) he went from like 48 to 66 thanks to the mentorship with Tornado and occasional tag work with Chord. He's a guy that has extremely good performance stats. I think he's around 80s in both Basics and Pysch. His push isn't coming yet but like Flynn, he keeps rising because of his associations.
  19. Generally every two weeks there's a TV title match. I'll have the title defended on PPV if the storyline lends itself to it. I had Gauge hold it for a while before losing it to T-Bone in April of 2020. Since then, it's been the T-Bone title. He lost it Remus (who I've developed as a long standing rivalry) in a triple threat match in which Remus cheated. T-Bone won it back in September and is still champion as of now (March 2021). He's made 18 defenses combined through both reigns and I've used his run to offer more opportunities (was in King of Kings tournament, received a World title shot on the first Total of 2021 against Andrews).
  20. I would agree with this. As much as there's a lot of 40 year olds, Foxx, Benson, Fonz, Johnson, One Man Army, Triple D, Doc are all pretty solid. Don't know about anyone else but Doc has been amazing for me. I'm in February of 2021 and he's a 78 across the board in popularity. I've pushed him as a prototype second tier guy--beats everyone but not the tippy top guys (Andrews.) I know people seem to be iffy of his position in the Syndicate but I like the idea of a guy that's always been good who turned because he sees this as his final opportunity to be a top guy and with his experience, he has an upper hand. I like that he's a vet with a lot to prove and again, him and Wolf together have been awesome. I gave them the Tag straps because I'm trying to establish that title as something I can main event shows with and I made Doakes coin them the "Death Star" because they're unbeatable as a team. Tuning out quality tag matches. I'm turning Wolf face and they're going to face each other in the semi main event of Total Mayhem. Tornado is also still good. Not as great as he used to be, but he just produced an 85 with T-Bone (who's been great but still.) I've had him "mentor" Remus while also acting as an occasional partner for Chord (same with Remus.) I've portrayed him as somewhat of a cowardly vet; trying to find every shortcut possible to still succeed. Funny you mentioned turning Devine heel because I did that and he's doing well on the mic. In ring is still alright but I'm encouraged by the pop he's gaining for me. Right now i see him as a third tier, maybe second tier guy but I've always liked him.
  21. <p>I got lucky with USPW letting Killer Kass go. Decent but his good enough popularity to help elevate the other girls who need pop (which for me is all of them minus Higa and Becca Barton).</p><p> </p><p> I went after Justin Sensitive because I've always thought he was underrated and could become a solid third tier guy. SWF let go of Steven Parker, who I love and couldn't resist. I just managed to take Gino from EILL. Another guy I couldn't resist even as I try not to bloat the roster.</p>
  22. <p>I actually think Thomas has value. If I ly he wanted to bulk up and gain some SQ his ceiling would be higher. But his starting stats, particularly the Psych surprised. He's not bad at all and I think he fits as a low end guy. Could also be a solid tag partner, too.</p><p> </p><p> I'm curious as to who you guys are coveting from the other big companies. In 16 I saw going after the John Greeds, Mainstream Hernandezs of the worlds were really profitable and you could take them if you paid them a little more. This year I'm finding it's the SWF development guys. I've already successfully taken Whole Lotta Marvin, Zeke and Son of Vengeance. I've also taken Cooper Christie from UPSW. He's not a development guys but he's young and has good SQ. I got someone like Jameson purely because I promised I would make him a main eventer.</p>
  23. Courtney is someone I never can get around to. His stats are ok but his SQ is a bit low and I always find others who can do what he's suppose to be better. With that said, I never release him because of the School of Pro Wrestling link. Him and Thomas are kinda similar but Thomas has greater strengths (selling, underrated Pysch). I've used Courtney as a weaselly, low card heel in my year. Recently, he's been a recurring partner of Freddy and I've come to find a use for him.
  24. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jon The GOAT" data-cite="Jon The GOAT" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47616" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong>Well Killer Shark winning it and become a TCW main eventer is better than the stock indy signings filling up and headlining TCW </strong><img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong> Would love to see how you get on with Killer Shark being The Guy in TCW. It might inspire me to give Shark a push as well! </strong><p> </p><p> I dig Behemoths/Booth with Peak. I dont think I'll be breaking them up anytime soon. Peak is on his deathbed but is a great talker so you can push Shark and have Booth/Titan team or keep Booth as stable lost post while one pursues a TV title reign & the other a world title reign.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'm 13 months in and Killer Shark's stats are in that photo. His stamina has gone up tremendously and that along with the Psych stat gives me hope that he'll be able to hold his own. I'm still having him feud with guys with higher Psych and I think that's helped a lot. With him, my goal is to never turn him into a super worker or even a "work rate" guy. The two biggest areas every game that I look for him to improve is Psych and Stamina because that will determine if I get a 18 minute match out of him without gassing AND without him being lost (Psych).</p><p> </p><p> I generally like Titan too though because I never plan on pushing him around midcard, main event level, I consider him expandable. That isn't totally fair to him because he's not bad but that's how I've always perceived him. With that said, I also love the Behemoths team and keep them together even though I always push Shark. Always a fan of long standing teams and especially with them as in canon, they've had long tag team title reigns.</p><p><a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2020_05/1106245711_Annotation2020-05-28181503.jpg.b51220aa0e7b91a963c337d6881c1845.jpg" data-fileid="3694" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="3694" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="1106245711_Annotation2020-05-28181503.jpg.b51220aa0e7b91a963c337d6881c1845.jpg" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2020_05/1106245711_Annotation2020-05-28181503.jpg.b51220aa0e7b91a963c337d6881c1845.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></a></p>
