  1. Yeah I'm an unabashed Shark lover. I had him win King of King's and he's going to win the World title come Total Mayhem 2021. He's improved a lot for me all of 2020 so that helps. I just always assume because he came from the Total School of Wrestling that they would want him to succeed and I like the idea of a powerhouse in the main event scene.
  2. I like this a lot. Normally, what I do at the last TV show of the year, regardless of promotion, is do a 5 on 5 match between the "ten top wrestlers" in the company kayfabe wise as a "best of the best" style match. I see it as a "greatest hits" type thing while not treating it as an exhibition. Being in the match is seen as a major accomplishment and so, everyone wants to win it.
  3. I'm gutted. I finally committed to getting STARDOM Wold because of her in January. Unreal charisma. I don't think I've ever seen a wrestler with that much raw charisma. She had so much to look forward to and was easily going to be one of their top stars (she already was but you know what I mean). Sad day.
  4. I've noticed that with just about all of my non-wrestlers too. Thought I was doing something wrong.
  5. Hearing all the Foxx success stories is really interesting because he's turning in great performances for myself too. The wheels started turning when I saw Macca316 talk about pushing him and how it was working that I checked what Foxx had been doing for me. Dude is consistently giving me solid matches, just recently got me an 87 against Chord on TV. He's someone I usually dismiss because of the character and just kinda job him out but yeah I was a bit surprised when I saw his starting stats. He's not bad at all in ring AND he has good entertainment skills. This has led me to course correct and push him more as a third tier bordering on second tier guy.
  6. For those who are using a women's division, what are you guys trying to do to get them over! How are you booking them? I'm just curious.
  7. Jan: Doc. The competition committee rewards Doc's recent string of performances/wins by declaring him as the number one contender for the World title. Wolf is fine by this. Everything is all business and if it's Doc that's champion come Total Mayhem, at least the World title stays within the Syndicate. Feb: Freddy Huggins. Same as Doc though the committee waned to give a shot to someone who's never received a title shot before. Freddy fits the bill. Standard token defense but I used it as a test to see if I could push Freddy as a top line guy. March: Battleground took away the title shot. April: Killer Shark. Behemoths were in the middle of another dominant Tag Team title run. Goldworthy and Peak did some off screen campaigning to convince the committee to give Shark a title shot. They agreed because of his dominance. Also, both Andrews and Shark come from the TCW School of Pro Wrestling so the idea of the two main eventing for the World Title helped Shark's case as well. Match only did a 67 but I always push Shark as a challenge for me to effectively push someone like him in a wore-rate promotion. And then of course, Total Mayhem was the match with Wolf. But that's how I did it.

  9. This. Very much this. In the now 4 and a half months that I've played Total, they have signed the following; Scythe, Randy Bumfhole, Rock God Alvarez, Andrew Lee, Buff Martinez, La Sombra Jr, Buddy Garner and Cerebo. They tried to take Doc and Greg Gauge from me but I was able to keep both. But UPSW is SUPER aggressive.
  10. Typical midcarder. Loses to people higher on the card regularly wins squashes on Showcase/lower end guys on the roster. When his contract is up, I'll let him walk. Had I not made Marc Speed the occasional partner for Joshua Taylor, maybe I would have picked Maverick. Probably my least favorite 35+ guy on the roster.
  11. I've pushed them as a tweener-leaning heel unit. All the members have either a technical or brawling/striker background to make them a ground and pound esue unit. I signed Frankie Perez, Logan Wolfsbaine and Tsuneyo Yangimoto while adding TARO and Sugiyama to round them out.
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="iruleall15" data-cite="iruleall15" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47616" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Man idk what you are doing with Doc. But he just isnt pulling ratings for me. PPV match vs Bach and he pulls a 59 performance.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> For me his performance grades have gotten higher each month. The peak has been 73 but he managed to carry Tana to a 73 match on my second to last show. One think that helps looking at his skills is that he's <em>still</em> improving a bit. So perhaps I got a good destiny roll with him. It also helps that his momentum currently is Very Warm thanks to being involved in some high rated segments with Wolf. I've leaned heavily on his strengths; in ring and promos (seriously, he's starts off a good promo and if you're able to put him in a segment where he talks, it'll be good.)</p><p> </p><p> His appeal to me is that the way I portray him is exactly how I mentioned how I portrayed Bach only different. Both understand that if they want to make it to the top, it's now or never for them. But while Bach is more noble, Doc is nastier, unrelenting, remorseless. To him, if he's going to make it to the top, he has to do this.</p>
  13. <p>I LOVE Doc. Dude is constantly giving me matches in the 70-80s and along with the in ring, his promo and charisma are in the 70s too. He was highly coveted too when his contract came up. SWF, UPSW AND 21CW wanted him, but I was able to keep him. He's been great and I'm starting to wonder should I capitalize on how good he's been and push him as a legit star? So far, I've pushed him as a firm second tier guy, but if he keeps this up, who knows.</p><p> </p><p> Far as the others goes. I like Flynn and think he could probably become pretty good. Like his SQ and his entertainment skills aren't bad at all either. I'm going to let Eddie walk in about a month with hi contract expires. He's decent but I'm trying to keep the roster from not being bloated and so I'm cool with letting him bounce. Nate has a year and a half left on his deal and I'm going to let him bounce too. When Higa eventually takes over as leader, I'll either just have her get rid of the Syndicate name and start anew or just kick Nate out and go Higa-Doc-Flynn and maybe add two people. Nate is a good team team wrestler so even if he get kicked out, I could find something for him before he goes. </p><p> </p><p> I might be in the minority but I really like the Behemoths and I LOVE Killer Shark. Push him hard every time I play TCW. I push them both honestly but Shark is the one I make an effort to push. He's not the best but he's a TCW school graduate and so in my mind, I always think the company would want him to succeed (same with Thomas, Mo and Courtney.) I also like the challenge of pushing someone who isn't a work rate guy in and work rate company and see if I could pull it off.</p>
  14. This is random but I figured I would share Marina Del Ray's popularity growth after finishing this month. I was flooded by the March to April growth. Not just her. From January to April I've gotten Laura Ann Huggins from a 58 to a 67. Vita has only gone from 62 to 63 but moral of the story is female managers, with good SQ can succeed in TCW.
  15. <p>Another thing I'm finding out as I'm bidding for Lauren Easter and Alicia Strong respectfully. Depending on the popularity of the star, he'll let you throw some money at people. With Easter, the offer CWA is giving her is 3 years, $27, 600 per month, 30% merch cut. I can beat that but his max for me is $16,000, 10% merch, 20% bonus. Which sucks because I'm cool with giving her 20% merch. May not get her but it's reasonable.</p><p> </p><p> Alicia, on the other end, has no problem with me throwing $74,000 per month and creative control (I'm not giving that to her but I did it to see if he would object- he did not). This gives me some hope when some of my big stars are up on their contract, he's willing to let you spend to keep them.</p>
  16. Alright so about a few days into March, I got some graduates. MAW wouldn't take anymore so I just started another development company strictly for the guys.
  17. I go for "unnamed" stables. Not official but associations. For me, Benson, Foxx and Fonz are easy going vets would are friends. So they're seen together backstage. if one is in trouble, they'll help out. They'll even give tips to some of the kids (Thomas, Frankie-Boy from Going Coastal). This is not a stable but Taylor's partner if he's in a tag match is Marc Speed. If Bach is in a tag match, T-Bone is the guy I've been pairing him up with. That's the type of stuff I go for.
  18. Have always liked Architect so he and the Ring Generals would work. Diaz and Wolfsbaine are both available so you can sign them both. Honestly, you could put them with Chord and Gauge and that would be doable.
  19. They're both really good so that's why I'm willing to make it work. Gauge is also far more positive backstage than Jay.
  20. The biggest challenge for me was figuring out a way to distinguish Chord from Gauge. The base of their characters are the same; son of legends. Both can play the cocky heel. And it's easy to pair them together as well. I chose not to do that. With Chird, along with him not wanting to fail, he's quick tempered. Gauge is more methodical. He's confident because he believes that he has the upper hand far as knowledge goes. I signed Dread and his son to support him; he knows Dread from his father and Gauge wants to pick the brain of Dread. Having his son act as a bodyguard is a bonus.
  21. I've gone with portraying both as they both really want to become the next World Champion but have to beat the other to do so. Bach has had a great career but he's never won the big one. At 41, it's now or never. With the lights of Chord, Mo, Edd and Freddy coming, he understands his window is closing soon and every match he's in has a sense of urgency for him. For Chord, he feels this is what he was destined to be; at the top. He wants to not only live up to the name and honor him but he wants to be better than his father. Nothing else matters to him but this; thus, he's willing to do whatever it takes to reach that goal (cheat, sneak attack). For him, losing is failure and because of this, he doesn't care who he has to hurt in order to not be a failure. That's how I've run with it. Something has to give. Their goals interfere with one another and they're the top two contenders after Wolf. So they have beef with one another because they want the same thing.
  22. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jomosensual" data-cite="Jomosensual" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47616" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Are you playing a modded game? Because in mine Doc is a 76 Psych</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Lol maybe I'm wrong. I'm at work so I don't have the game in front of me</p>
  23. I found that to be an issue, too. By default Angel could be the top heel via being an outsider. But he doesn't fit any of the units. I signed Blackfriar from IPW and put Ko in a mask and had them join Senmatsu-gun. But even they aren't going to headline the division. I suppose you could turn MYSTIC or Masuko?
  24. Maybe it's just me but I really like Doc. His stats surprised me. I figured he was good in ring, and he is. His Psych is in the 85-93 range. But his mic and charisma are green 65-73, which means it's in the 70s. That I didn't expect. He's someone I look for in a second tier guy and I'm going to do whatever to keep him. Far as plans for Syndicate post Total Mayhsi, I've toyed with the of giving Wolf and Doc a tag run. Chandler's contract is coming up and I'm going to let him walk. Probably won't replace him right away. End game is turning Wolf face next year with Hugs usurping him and her becoming the leader.
