The World’s Greatest Tag Team have united and are fighting off the Dudebusters! Haas and Benjamin stand tall in the ring as Croft gets on the microphone, challenging the reunited World’s Greatest Tag Team to a match this week on ECW, which Benjamin accepts.

A huge four match addition of ECW this week.

WWE Smackdown 8/6/10

Out comes Ted DiBiase, talking about his reign as World Heavyweight Champion just far. His road to the title started when he won the Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania, due to a strategy that he mapped out and manipulated the circumstances beyond his means. Then he waited for his moment to strike and he did at Over the Limit, when John Morrison was rendered unconscious, allowing DiBiase to score the pin. At Fatal Four Way, when he was put in the ring with three top challengers, many wrote DiBiase off as a transitional champion and a foot note, but he proved them wrong, thanks to evening the odds. Then on Saturday Night’s Main Event, every said it would be the night where Batista walking out with the title would be a foregone conclusion but Batista didn’t. Last week the same thing and once again DiBiase played the system. He says that at Summerslam, he’s in the ring with both Batista and Cena and everyone is counting out. Each and every time he puts the title on the line, he’s the underdog, but he’s proven to be the smartest dog in the yard. He has played all of the other dogs against each other and walked out with the championship gold every time. At Summerslam, DiBiase will have his supreme triumph against both Batista and John Cena. He also says that his brother Brett DiBiase, along with Joe Hennig, will add the Unified Tag Team Titles to their stable.

Jack Swagger pinned Shad with the Gutwrench Power Bomb in 6:22 Swagger’s shot at the WWE Intercontinental Title against Christian at Summerslam is hyped up and Swagger showed he is geared for Summerslam, beating on Shad and pounding him with a series of knees, before hitting him with the Gutwrench Power Bomb for the pin. ©

Chris Jericho and CM Punk defeated Christian and Matt Hardy when Jericho pinned Hardy with the Code Breaker in 13:44 These two tag teams got some time on Smackdown, with Christian eating the brunt of a beating but making the hot tag to Matt Hardy. Hardy runs wild, nearly putting Jericho away with a moonsault but Punk trips him up, allowing Jericho to connect with the Code Breaker for the pin. (B)

Punk and Jericho cut a promo, talking some trash about DX but out comes Triple H to a round of cheers. Triple H cuts a promo, talking about how Punk and Jericho think they are in control, because Vince McMahon allegedly broke his deal. Punk says there’s nothing alleged about it, he saw the former WWE Chairman with the bottle of poison in his hands and Punk signed the papers to send Vince McMahon to a state of the art, zero tolerance, rehab facility. Triple H states that he has proof that Mr. McMahon was set up and Punk yells that if Triple H even thinks about trying to cook up some doctored footage, he’ll be on the streets. Triple H says Punk will see it along with the rest of the world on Monday and tells Chris Jericho that Shawn Michaels will see him on Monday, as those two men will go one on one in a preview match for Summerslam.

Booker T d. Dolph Ziggler via disqualification when Ziggler used a chair right to Booker’s knees. Booker and Ziggler had a back in forth match, with Ziggler getting frustrated and thus he lashes out, using a chair to blast Booker’s knees over and over for the disqualification. Afterwards, Ziggler continued to beat up Booker, until security made the save. (B-)

Mike Knox cuts a promo, promising to make the Undertaker suffer a beating at Summerslam, before he seals him inside the casket and the air will slowly be sucked out of his lungs.

Mike Knox and William Regal defeated John Morrison and Kane when Regal shoved Morrison off the ropes into a Bicycle Kick of Knox in 15:22 An impressive tag team match, as Kane returns for the first time since suffering a concussion and a broken arm at the hands of Mike Knox. Morrison was the one beaten, thanks to Regal pushing him off the top rope right into the Bicycle Kick of Knox and Knox has just pinned a former World Heavyweight Title. (B)

Kane and Mike Knox get into it after the match, as the Undertaker’s voice booms throughout the arena, warning Knox that he has nine more days before he meets his maker.

Hype for a huge RAW this Monday, with Randy Orton against Triple H, Shawn Michaels against Chris Jericho, and CM Punk against Edge. Plus what’s this about footage that Triple H has found that will clear the name of Vince McMahon.

The Fortunate Sons defeated John Cena and the Unified Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio in 18:22 when DiBiase pinned Cena with a roll up after Rey accidentally hit Cena with the 6-1-9. Batista joined us on commentary for this blockbuster six man tag, talking about how he’s going to walk out of Summerslam as the World Heavyweight Champion, crushing DiBiase and Cena in his wake. Bourne suffered a three on one beating for this match but hot tag to Rey, bringing him into the ring. Rey tags Cena after he gets beaten for a while and Cena runs wild. DiBiase reverses a move as Rey prepares for the 6-1-9, inadvertently catching Cena and DiBiase rolls up Cena for the pin, as Hennig takes out Cena. (B)

We see Cena and Rey having some words, with Bourne trying to peacemaker but out comes Bret Hart, who announces that next week, we’ll see for the first ever, one on one, Rey Mysterio against John Cena! The fans pop for a blockbuster dream match that we’ll see next week on Smackdown.

WWE Monday Night RAW 8/9/10

Out comes Triple H to start the show, to show the footage that will clear Vince McMahon’s name but he is interrupted by Randy Orton. Orton talks about how Triple H spent five months on the shelf and returned to RAW like he was never gone in the first place. Orton says that the brand did not miss Triple H, in fact, it was better. Orton talks about how he’s had the longest WWE Championship reign since 2008, beating his own record and as he goes into the ninth month of his title reign, he will beat Edge this Sunday to keep the WWE Championship inside the confines of a steel cage. Triple H interrupts, talking about how Orton might be able to talk the talk, but back atWrestlemania 25, Triple H remembers pinning Orton in the center of the ring. Orton says that was eighteen months ago and things change. Triple H was the top star on RAW but now Orton is and he’s beaten everyone. Tonight, he’s going to pin Triple H’s shoulders to the mat. Triple H says Orton will have a chance to prove it tonight.

Sheamus pinned Chris Masters with the big boot in 0:30 Masters was pretty much the sacrificial limb for Sheamus, as he goes to challenge Jamie Noble for the United States Title in a Bunkhouse Brawl at Summerslam. (D+)

Sheamus cuts a promo, discussing his match with Jamie Noble at Summerslam and the United States Champion makes his way out, but Sheamus takes him out, sensing an attack this time. Sheamus beats on Noble and gives him a big boot, before he sends Noble to the floor and sets up a power bomb right on the exposed concrete, but changes his mind, saying that he’s going to finish Noble off at Summerslam. Remember, it was a power bomb that nearly ended Noble’s career in the first place.

Beth Phoenix pinned Alicia Fox with the Glam Slam in 5:22 Mia Mancini was sitting at ringside, as Maryse was on commentary, talking about how her client was going to have to defend her Undisputed Women’s Championship against both Beth Phoenix and Mickie James at Summerslam but it didn’t matter, as she’ll come out on top. Alicia Fox got a few moves, but this was just a dominant performance from the Glamazon. (C-)

Cody Rhodes pinned Evan Bourne after sitting down on a sunset flip and using the ropes for leverage in 5:52 Unified Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne and Cody Rhodes had a spirited back and forth match, with Bourne taking Rhodes down with a springboard dropkick and pounding on him, but Rhodes making a comeback. Bourne counters an attempted suplex and gains control but when he goes for a sunset flip, Rhodes sits down and uses the ropes for leverage, scoring a major upset over one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions. (B-)

CM Punk cuts a promo, talking about this Sunday, where he and Chris Jericho will rid the WWE Universe of the corrupt influence of DeGeneration X forever. Punk states that the WWE Board of Directors is questioning whether or not he got into his position as the leader of the WWE Universe fairly because of some baseless accusations that Triple H made. However, Punk assures us that everything was on the level. He talks about Edge, saying that two years ago, everyone talked about how Punk took advantage of Edge to win his first World Heavyweight Championship and how he couldn’t beat Edge one on one. Punk disagrees and says that he will in fact beat Edge tonight and the only Edge that the WWE Universe needs is Straight Edge, because its better than you.

Edge pinned CM Punk with the Spear in 11:33 Punk and Edge had an impressive match but Edge seemed to be focused beyond all belief. Punk worked over the ankle of Edge but Edge continued to fight back. Punk kicked Edge in the face and went for a tornado DDT but Edge threw Punk off and Speared him for the pin. (B+)

In comes Randy Orton afterwards to punk out Edge. Orton beats on Edge and prepares to set him up for the punt. No, not six days before Summerslam. Edge avoids the punt and pops up to Spear Orton! Orton has just been destroyed by that huge spear and he spasms on the canvas. Edge walks off, Orton in pain and a psychological advantage going into this Sunday’s WWE Championship Match inside a steel cage.

Chris Jericho pinned Shawn Michaels with the Code Breaker in 13:22 Michaels and Jericho had their usual impressive back and forth match, with Jericho working over the ribs of Michaels. Michaels went for a kip up but he clutched his side and Jericho kicked him in the side. Jericho continues to beat on him. Walls of Jericho is blocked and Michaels fights out. Sweet Chin Music and Jericho hits the Code Breaker, the exclamation point on the busted up ribs, which gets three. (B+)

Out comes Triple H for the main event and he talks about how he has business to take care of with Randy Orton but at first, he’s going to show the footage, that will clear Vince McMahon of breaking his deal with CM Punk but before that can happen, out comes Randy Orton, hunched over, ribs heavily bandaged. Orton cuts a pained promo, talking about how he was going to take Triple H out but after Edge had cheapshotted him earlier tonight, and broke several ribs. Orton won’t compete tonight in a match that he has nothing to win. Orton talks about how he has called upon a substitute, the man who will be the number one contender for the WWE Championship after Summerslam, “The Ripper” Paul Burchill. Out comes Burchill, who says Triple H has a big problem right now. Burchill is not at Summerslam and he’s going to take that out on Triple H.

Paul Burchill pinned Triple H with a reverse swinging neckbreaker after Triple H took out an interfering CM Punk in 13:22 Triple H and Paul Burchill have a wicked brawl, with neither man giving up anything but CM Punk rushes out and Triple H gets into it with him, allowing Burchill to wipe out Triple H from behind and Burchill hits a vicious neckbreaker to score the biggest win in his career. (B+)

We see Punk and Jericho attack Triple H but Michaels comes out and we have a brawl between DX and Punk and Jericho. Both teams are brawling around the arena, refusing to back down, as Burchill leaves with the win but we see Orton up, and he talks a bit of trash about Edge. Out comes Edge, and Edge looks about ready to get his hands on Orton or rather Spear him but this time Orton blocks it with a pair of brass knuckles, smashing Edge right in the face. Orton beats on Edge and hammers away at him, before throwing Edge to the outside. Orton beats on Edge and sets up the announcer’s table, before giving Edge a violent RKO right through the table. Orton stands up, a sadistic smirk on his face, as Edge is twitching on the table. Orton has just taken out his challenger with a violent RKO right through the table, six days before they step inside a steel cage for the WWE Championship at Summerslam. (B+)

The World’s Greatest Tag Team defeated the Dudebusters when Haas pinned Croft with a combination spin kick/German Suplex in 10:22 The reunited World’s Greatest Tag Team had quite the spirited tag team encounter with the Dudebusters, who really stepped up their game in an attempt to keep up with the WGTT. WWE Massive Roster Cuts and More!

(Disclaimer: The News Items within are based on second hand information and rumors. While there might be some semblance of truth, some information is likely not to have been misinterpreted and this reporter could have been mislead)

Some members of the WWE roster found themselves without a job due to roster cuts. There are developmental call ups coming within the next few weeks, so some names had to be trimmed from the main roster.

Montel Vontavious Porter: The most shocking cut of all, due to the fact that MVP has been a rather high profile member of the roster as of late and in fact, has a tag team match with Mark Henry against the Hart Dynasty taped for this week's Superstars, that appeared to set up a feud between the two teams. Of course, this was not a roster cut made by WWE, MVP made a request to be released, unhappy of his current place in WWE. He was none too happy about having to drop the United States Title prematurely the past two times that he held it and made his point made quite clear. It is likely that MVP will find a new home in TNA or even ROH. Many felt that MVP was misused during his time in the company but the door is always open for a return.

Carlito: The Loser Leaves ECW Match was a shoot as it turns out Carlito was served his walking papers. Several loud arguments with WWE officials, including one after an altercation with a fan last month had made it clear that this was a long time coming. Carlito had been lackluster in the ring, refusing to put up the effort unless he got pushed and WWE management was unwilling to push him unless he put in the effort. Carlito's last few weeks on the show had been a way to bury him and most feel that his promo talking about how he should be given an ECW Championship shot did have some undertones of realism to it.

The Great Khali: Khali actually suffered an injury that really crippled his ability to compete(no jokes please). Many feel that Khali had outlived his usefulness as an act and was just there during the past several months of his career.Khali will likely hang up his boots and return to his life as a police officer in India.

Festus: Pretty much did not do anything since coming to RAW. Was in a few token appearances on Superstars and suffered a crushing loss at the hands of the Big Show earlier this year, but that was about it.

Eric Escobar: A romance with Vickie Guerrero went nowhere. A tag team with Chavo Guerrero went nowhere, other then some jobs to Cryme Tyme on Superstars.

Alex and Bo Rotundo: The sons of the legendary IRS did not connect well with the fans on ECW. Feuded with the Dudebusters and pretty much were squashed out of the company by Vladimir Koslov. Was going to be returned to developmental but both of them threw a fit, thus giving management the excuse to fire them.

Brie and Nikki Bella: They have made scattered appearances on RAW but have really be deempshized with the women's division actually focusing on in ring talent this year. Their departure will likely not be noticed.

More roster cuts will happen soon by the sound of things, as WWE are bringing in some new people from developmental after Summerslam to the main roster.

A tentative Dolph Ziggler/Booker T No Disqualification Match that was scheduled for Summerslam will not be happening. Instead, it will happen on Smackdown, due to the Summerslam card being too packed.

TNA has had their own problems as of late, with another Jeff Jarrett title run leaving a bad taste in the mouths of the fans and wrestlers a like. WWE has been looking towards several TNA competitors who are on open ended contracts to come in to be sent to developmental. Five so far have been offered contracts.

Paul Burchill will receive a WWE Championship Shot at Night of Champions against the winner of Edge/Orton at Summerslam.

John Morrison is likely killing time in a scaled back role on Smackdown before being moved over to RAW in the fall to have another top level babyface, with Triple H and Shawn Michaels both rumored to be hanging up the boots by the end of the year or by Wrestlemania 27. Morrison, Kofi Kingston, and Edge are going to be the top babyfaces on RAW, with Orton, Burchill, and CM Punk(who will also be moved over to RAW full time shortly) being the top heels.

A huge rumor is that Vince McMahon might be scaling back and paving the way for Triple H and Stephanie to take control of the company. More on this in the future.
