WWE Superstars 10/14/10

Hype for tonight's main event on WGN America, straight from Friday Night Smackdown, featuring Christian against William Regal.

Paul Burchill and Sheamus defeated Santino Marella and Yoshi Tatsu when Sheamus pinned Tatsu with the Big Boot in 8:55 Santino and Yoshi are beaten down throughout the vast majority of this match, mostly Santino, as Sheamus and Burchill will take on Kane and the Undertaker as part of Bragging Rights. Tatsu makes the hot tag and runs wild, but he promptly runs into the foot of Sheamus for the pin. (B)

The World's Greatest Tag Team defeated the Dudebusters when Shelton Benjamin pinned Croft with the T-Bone Suplex in 12:55 Another in the long line of battles between the Busters and the World's Greatest Tag Team. The World's Greatest Tag Team would love nothing better than to have another shot at the Specialists. Haas was beaten down by Crot and Barrett but hot tag and Benjamin runs wild, hitting the T-Bone for the pin. (C-)

A look at the highlights of the three hour RAW with the new General Manager, the legendary Kevin Nash, and also ECW, with some uncertainty of where the allegiance of ECW Champion Bryan Danielson and Unified Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne. This week in a special requested tag team match, Goldust and Justin Gabriel will meet Evan Bourne and Bryan Danielson.

Christian pinned William Regal with a backslide in 18:55 The latest chapter in the series of matches between these two men. Back and forth match, with Regal working over Christian's back and ribs, until Christian makes a comeback and hits a tornado bulldog. Killswitch is countered into a half nelson suplex and Regal beats on Christian but Knee Trembler is avoided and backslide gets the flash pin. (B)

WWE Smackdown 10/15/10

We see Smackdown General Manager Bret Hart and RAW General Manager Kevin Nash out to announce the full best of seven series for Bragging Rights. The first brand to win four matches will get Bragging Rights and will win the right to have their championship match in the main event of Wrestlemania 27! First of all, we've got Kofi Kingston from RAW squaring off against Christian from Smackdown. The women take center stage, when RAW's Gail Kim and Beth Phoenix take on Smackdown's Team Laycool. RAW's monster team of Paul Burchill and Sheamus take on Smackdown's monster team of The Undertaker and Kane. Former Legacy team mates collide, when RAW's Randy Orton takes on Smackdown's Ted DiBiase. In tag team war fare, RAW's DeGenerationX will take on Smackdown's Unified Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio. The WWE Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho from Smackdown meets the United States Champion the Big Show from RAW. Finally, the WWE Champion CM Punk from RAW faces the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena from Smackdown in the seventh and potentially deciding match. It is also announced tonight that John Cena will meet Chris Jericho but neither of their belts are on the line.

Kane and the Undertaker defeated Chavo Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler when the Undertaker pinned Chavo with the Tombstone in 7:44 The Brothers of Destruction reunite tonight, to take on Chavo and Dolph. Kane was isolated for a good part of this match, but Taker tagged in and beat down both of his opponents, before pinning Chavo with the Tombstone. (B-)

Laycool comes out, to talk about Beth Phoenix, as they talk about one of them winning the Undisputed Women's Title from her but they are going to beat her and Gail Kim at Bragging Rights. Out comes Beth Phoenix for a match with Layla.

Layla defeated Beth Phoenix via countout in a non title match when Michelle McCool clubbed Beth Phoenix in the back of the leg with a pipe in 4:55 Beth Phoenix dominates this match until she gets cheap shotted on the floor from Michelle McCool. She can't beat the ten count and Laycool continue to destroy her knee afterwards, leaving her at less than one hundred percent for Bragging Rights. (D)

Ted DiBiase is out with the rest of the Fortunate Sons for a six man tag team match, as he talks about how in Legacy, he was always saving Randy Orton, always keeping the belt around his waist. He talks about how Orton is now a lone wolf, with Cody Rhodes, his demented lackey, on the shelf, thanks to Orton punting him in the head back at Night of Champions. DiBiase will beat Orton and help lead Smackdown to victory. He also states that he's not done with John Cena and he will be getting the World Heavyweight Title back.

The Fortunate Sons defeated Matt Hardy, Booker T, and Unified Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne when Hennig pinned Bourne with the Perfect Plex in 18:55 A wild six man but there were some moments where Hardy was looking at Evan Bourne with distrust, based on the back that he may or may not have attacked Hardy underneath a mask on ECW. Bourne was thrown into Hardy, as Booker T was taken out as well and Hennig snaps off the Perfect Plex to pin Bourne. (B)

Jack Swagger pinned Shad with the Gutwrench Power Bomb in 8:44 Swagger pounds away on Shad but Shad returns fire. Swagger works over the knees of Shad, going for the Figure Four but Shad kicks him into the ring post and spine buster brings Swagger down for a nearfall. Shad is hung up on a charge and Swagger hits the Gutwrench Power Bomb for the pin. (C+)

We cut backstage, where Evan Bourne and Matt Hardy are going at it backstage. We see Bret Hart step in and say that if they want to fight so bad, then they can have a match next week one on one on Smackdown.

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena made WWE Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho submit to the STF in 21:44 An extended match, allowing both men to have a nice back and forth match. The Big Show scouted this match from the ramp and CM Punk watched from the crowd. Code Breaker nearly gets the win and Walls of Jericho is on the ropes. Jericho goes up top but Cena catches him and hits the Attitude Adjustment but Jericho manages to roll to the floor. Jericho hits a number of moves, including a superplex and a lionsault. He goes for another Code Breaker but Cena blocks it and slaps on the STF for the tap out. (B+)

Cena gets the win tonight on Smackdown and will face CM Punk at Bragging Rights while Chris Jericho takes on the Big Show.

WWE Monday Night RAW 10/18/10

Out comes DeGeneration X at the top of the show to a loud round of cheers. Triple H talks about how last week, Punk managed to somehow manipulate the odds to keep the WWE Championship but there will be a time and a place and Triple H will be the WWE Champion once again. Shawn Michaels talks about how it is time to prepare for Bragging Rights and they are going to take on Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio as part of the Best of Seven Series. Bourne and Rey have held the belts beating some of the best but DX are the best. Tonight, they have a match against the number one contenders, the Specialists, who are undefeated as a tag team but tonight DX is going to add that one loss to their record. Triple H talks about how the Specialists turn their nose up at Sports Entertainment but DX is Sports Entertainment personified, so they better be ready to fight for their right to wrestle and they better be ready.

Katie Lea Burchill and Natalya defeated Gail Kim and the WWE Undisputed Women's Champion Beth Phoenix when Phoenix blacked out in the figure four leglock by Katie Lea Burchill in 7:22 An impressive tag team match, with the status of the Glamazon's knee banged up a lot. Gail Kim is beaten down but she makes the hot tag and Beth Phoenix runs wild. Team Laycool is on the ramp and Gail Kim wipes them out with a pescado, but it leaves Phoenix two on one, as the heels take turns chop blocking her knee, before Katie Lea Burchill applies a figure figure leglock and Beth Phoenix passes out from the pin. The announcers muse that this puts Katie Lea Burchill in line for an Undisputed Women's Title Shot. (C-)

Paul Burchill and Sheamus defeated The Hurricane and Chris Masters when Burchill pinned Masters with the Tombstone Piledriver in 7:02 The Hurricane was beaten two on one for most of this match but he makes the hot tag. Masters runs wild and goes for the Masterlock but Sheamus boots him in the face. The fans are going absolutely insane with boos, as Sheamus grabs the Hurricane by the throat as he tries to interfere and gives him a thunderous choke slam and Burchill pulls out the Tombstone Piledriver on the Masterpiece, before he folds the arms across the chest, sending a message to the Undertaker and Kane before this Sunday. On the ramp, a tall druid watched, this creature of the night being a bit bigger then your normal druid and he raises his arms, before the lights flicker, and the voice of the Undertaker echoes throughout the arena, talking about how Sheamus and Burchill will rest in peace this Sunday. (C+)

RAW General Manager Kevin Nash mediates a meeting between CM Punk and the Big Show, who will have to team up tonight to face Chris Jericho and John Cena tonight. Punk and Show agree to team tonight but only tonight. Nash talks about how his friend Scott is a big fan of Punk in the ring but he isn't that big of a fan of the Straight Edge thing.

The Specialists defeated DeGeneration X when Lawerence Davis pinned Shawn Michaels with a jack-knife cradle, after Evan Bourne hit a missile dropkick to Shawn Michaels in 19:39 An extended tag team match, with DX bouncing the Specialists around, but Shawn Michaels is caught in the corner and beaten down, with a false hot tag, before the real one is done. Triple H runs in and attacks everyone, but the referee gets bumped. Out comes Kaval, but Shawn Michaels nails him with the Sweet Chin Music. Nick Dinsmore pulls Triple H to the floor but Triple H pounds away on him and Kazarian is in the ring, as is Evan Bourne and Bourne leaps off the top rope, before hitting a missile dropkick to Shawn Michaels! Triple H grabs Bourne and beats on him, before throwing him to the floor, but Kazarian gives him a low blow and dropkicks him through the ropes! Davis flips over and jack-knife cradles Michaels for the pin! The Specialists score the biggest win in their career over DX. Triple H clears the ring with the sledgehammer before Michaels can get beaten down and Bourne is in the ring, trying to tell Triple H something but he gets kicked and hit with the Pedigree. This Sunday, Bourne and Mysterio face DeGeneration X in the Best of Seven Series of Raw versus Smackdown. (B+)

Randy Orton is in the ring, talking about how he's going to face Ted DiBiase in six days at Bragging Rights. Orton calls DiBiase ungrateful, saying that if it wasn't for Orton, he would not be in the position that he is today. Orton calls DiBiase a second rate version of Randy Orton with a second rate version of Legacy in the Fortunate Sons. Orton promises the viper will strike this Sunday. He then shifts gears, talking about how he has an old score to settle against Kofi Kingston tonight and his victory on Saturday Night's Main Event in July was not enough.

Kofi Kingston pinned Randy Orton with the Trouble In Paradise in 12:59 The fans are cheering as Kofi Kingston beats on Orton, drawing cheers but Orton hangs up Kofi on the ropes and beats on him some more, hitting a modified backbreaker and a chinlock but Kofi fights up to his feet and hammers elbows into the stomach of Orton. Boom Drop and now Kofi winds up but Orton avoids and kick to the stomach, before Orton hits a DDT! We see Ted DiBiase standing on the ramp, and Orton turns over Kofi, before he sets up the punt and he gives a running start but Kofi avoids it and hits the Trouble in Paradise, dropping Orton down to the canvas to score the pin. (B)

Ted DiBiase enters the ring, drilling Kofi with a forearm smash, before throwing him to the floor! He then picks up Orton and goes for the Dream Street but he changes his mind and sets Orton up. DiBiase punts Orton right in his head! Talk about adding insult to injury. DiBiase's punt was not as refined as Orton's but it was still quite painful to get drilled in the head with a running kick! Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton this Sunday in the Best of Seven Series.

WWE United States Champion the Big Show and the WWE Champion CM Punk defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho and the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena when Punk pinned Cena after the Knockout Punch from the Big Show in 15:33 Punk is trapped in the ring for the majority of this match, but Jericho and Cena have their share of mishaps, which causes the Big Show to enter the ring. Show enters the ring beating down both Jericho and Cena, before hammering them. He throws Jericho to the floor and then the Big Show grabs Cena by the throat. Cena fights out and bounces off the ropes, right into the Knockout Punch. Punk enters the ring and covers Cena hooking the leg, stealing Show's pin. (A)

Punk brags about how he got the win but Big Show grabs Punk by the throat and Choke Slams him down to the canvas! In comes Jericho, who gives Show a belt shot from behind but Show is only dropped to a knee. Jericho bounces off the ropes but Show grabs Jericho and Choke Slam brings him down! Cena pulls himself to his feet and the Big Show grabs Cena, before giving him a Choke Slam. Three men are laid out and Show stands tall.

ECW On Sy Fy 10/19/10

Frankie Kazarian brings the Specialists, Nick Dinsmore, and Kaval out at the top of the program. He talks about how ever since they got together as a group, they have not lost a single match. He talks about how next week, the Specialists are going to get their Unified Tag Team Title shot next week against Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio. He talks about how Bourne will either be one of them or against them next week. He then talks about Matt Hardy, talking about his sad attempts to cling onto his fading glory are pitiful. At one time, he had all of the talent in the world, but now he has nothing but a highlight reil. Kazarian talks about how himself and Dinsmore are going to take on the World's Greatest Tag Team.

Nick Dinsmore and Frankie Kazarian defeated the World's Greatest Tag Team when Kazarian pinned Haas with a leaping reverse Russian Legsweep in 13:22 The usual impressive tag team match, with Shelton Benjamin caught in the corner. He fights out and makes the tag to Haas, who runs wild, but gets cut off himself, before Kazarian hits a breath taking leaping Reverse Russian Legsweep to score the pin. (B-)

After the match, Matt Hardy is out from the crowd and he takes out Dinsmore with a clothesline and goes for Kazarian, but the masked man is in the ring and he gives Hardy a low blow, before hitting him with a DDT! The masked man is to the top rope and hits the Shooting Star Press to the chest of Matt Hardy! Kazarian looks pleased, as he taunts the fallen form of Hardy. The second week in a row, the masked man has struck and he does have an amazing Shooting Star Press, much like Evan Bourne.

We are backstage, where Evan Bourne is face to face with Rey Mysterio, who Bourne welcomes back. Rey asks where Bourne's head is, he hasn't called him since he was taken out. Bourne talks about how he meant to get in touch with Rey, to check up on him but he's had a tight schedule, lots of singles matches. Rey asks if Bourne has his back this Sunday and next week as well. Bourne says that their the Unified Tag Team Champions, the best team in all three brands.

Bryan Danielson and Evan Bourne defeated Justin Gabriel and Goldust when Danielson pinned Goldust with a small package in 15:11 An extended tag team match, with both teams going back and forth. Matt Hardy ran out to attack Bourne and both men brawled to the back, as we see Nick Dinsmore go after Justin Gabriel. This breaks the attention of Goldust and allows Danielson to roll up Goldust in a small package for the pin. (C+)

Back from the break, Goldust is confronting Danielson, who is standing on the middle of the ramp and Kazarian and his crew is standing on the top of the ramp. Danielson says that he was out to win the match and if Goldust let his attention drop, that was his problem. Kazarian and Goldust have a bit of a back and forth which leads to a tag team match this Sunday, with Goldust and Gabriel against Nick Dinsmore and Frankie Kazarian, with Bryan Danielson as the referee. We'll see what side Danielson is on this Sunday.
