[DreamVerse] Imperia Wrestling Franchise -- Wrestling At Its Finest

Prologue

Hello, my name is Kate Avatar, and this is my story. Imperia Wrestling Franchise, created in 1992 by Doug Dunvegan after he became disillusioned with the running of the National Wrestling Alliance, has been growing for ten wonderful years. In 1999, Dunvegan hired an unproven but creative young man by the name of Brandon Harwell as the head booker of the promotion, and the results were amazing. IWF soon went national, and they were able to compete as one of the greatest promotions in the world. All along, though, Dunvegan was preparing for an even bigger shakeup by preparing another unproven but creative person to take over when the time was right. That person was me.

Why would Dunvegan change what had worked up until that point? Well, he was my mentor, and he had more trust in me than he did in Harwell. Still, even I knew that he was a talented head booker, so it was confusing and hard to understand why a change would be made. Nonetheless, I was more than ready to take on the challenge. Being the new head booker, however, would be the easy part. Keeping the roster together in light of the change would be the tough part.

A Night To Remember 2001: "Dark Legacy" was the biggest event of the year, and for the first time, not only was IWF franchise Jimmy Dragon not carrying the main event, but Harwell had booked himself to win the IWF World Heavyweight Title from Joey T. It was during this event that I was called into a meeting with Dunvegan.

"Ah, glad you could make it," he greeted me, his Scottish accent thick. "Have a seat, Kate."

"You wanted to see me, sir?"

"Please, I keep telling you to just call me Doug," he told me.

"It just feels strange, Mr. Dunvegan," I said sheepishly. "You've taught me everything I know about this business, and you're a legend. You're in the Hall of Immortals. Addressing you by your first name just seems strange."

He laughed a hearty laugh at that.

"So be it, but I still think you should just call me Doug."

"If it's all the same to you, Mr. Dunvegan . . ."

"Very well, no matter, we have business to discuss," he stated, folding his hands on his desk. "As you already know, you are taking over as head booker of Imperia Wrestling Franchise tomorrow. The problem, of course, is that the locker room is in for a shock when that happens. In particular, Brandon is going to be very upset. After all, he is the reason the promotion has had such success.

"Everyone, including others in the industry, will be questioning my decision to put you in charge, just as they did when I put him in charge. The thing is, I feel that the promotion needs a bit of balance and stability that it currently lacks. For all the good he has brought to this company, some of his decisions have been questionable, and it hasn't been a smooth ride."

"So the question is, what are we going to do to make this transition as smooth as possible?" I asked curiously.

"I plan to tell Brandon of my decision at the end of the night, and I know he's going to throw a fit about it. I know it is coming and I understand his reasoning perfectly, so I will not hold that against him. He is still a valuable member of the roster. We do still need him.

"That said, I am leaving all of creative up to you, Kate. I trust you to keep the legacy of this company alive and well. What I am saying is that all, and I do mean all, of the decisions will be up to you. I will only remove your authority if your performance hurts IWF. I will have no special goals for you, nothing of that nature. The biggest problem will be soothing the beast, as I'm also leaving Brandon in your hands."

"What can I do about him?" I inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"You know what kind of man he is. All the rumors are true. It may not be pleasant, but do whatever you feel is necessary to keep this ship sailing smoothly."

"I . . . understand . . ." I responded, knowing full well what I would probably have to do.

"Now go and prepare yourself, you have a lot of work to do."

I nodded, stood up, and took my leave. I was prepared for anything and everything. At least I thought I was. I would have to do something about the situation with Harwell when the time came, and I was already plotting my eventual strategy.

Needless to say, the event was a huge success. I was not around for the aftermath of Dunvegan's meeting with Harwell, but I could imagine how poorly it went. I only hoped that I could fix things. I got to the IWF Arena early, wanting to get to know the members of the roster. Most of them were pleasant, though there were some with attitudes. In particular, I took note of Joey T, John Sebastian, Felicia Duarte, and Alex Dunvegan (The Keldon Warlord).

Eventually, it was time to face the beast. Harwell was somber as he arrived at the arena. I could sense that he was beyond angry, and he if looks could kill, I would have dropped dead on the spot. I bit my lower lip as I considered how exactly to approach the matter.

"Mr. Harwell, could I speak with you in private?"

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/DreamGoddess666/BrandonHarwell.jpg

Without a word, he followed me into my office. It used to be his office, of course, and I knew that it stung for me to be inviting him in instead of the other way around. I sat down at what was now my desk and gestured him to take a seat. He ignored me and leaned against the wall, glaring at me.

"Brandon . . . May I call you Brandon?" I asked.

"Whatever."

"Look, I don't want there to be any animosity between us. This was all Mr. Dunvegan's planning, and I think we can agree that he has made nothing but good business decisions in the past. What we need to do is work together.

"That said, Mr. Dunvegan gave me full reign to do as I see fit, and my first order of business is to convince you to work with me as part of my booking team. You and me, Brandon. We can get this done together. I will listen to your ideas, and you will listen to mine. Together, we'll take this company to even greater heights."

"Are you serious?" he questioned, shocked, his eyes wide.

"Yes."

He took a deep breath, let it out harshly, and studied my face for a moment. I pleaded with him with my eyes. I knew how valuable he was. I knew how good a head booker he had been. I truly did want him on my team, on the booking team and as a wrestler.

"Why should I agree to this after I was so suddenly replaced by you?" he asked me.

I knew it was coming, and I had to make a decision. I stood up, straightened out, and walked around the desk. I took his hand and had him stand up, face to face with me. I smiled at him seductively. You see, I had heard the rumors. It was one of the reasons Dunvegan needed someone fresh as the head booker. Harwell had caused a bit of trouble because he was a womanizer. I had to use that to my advantage.

He was an attractive man, and I thought maybe I could somehow tame him. I was unsure as to how far to go, though.

"Brandon, I've admired your work for a long time," I began, lowering my tone of voice and giving him a seductive smirk. "I've admired you for a long time. I know you've had your share of girlfriends around here, but I think you and I could make a great team. Both in the business . . . and out of the business . . . if you get what I'm hinting at."

I winked at him, and his face lit up. I had gotten to him! I felt somewhat dirty having to resort to giving myself out to appease him, but I did not think it would be all that bad. Other than his ego and his womanizing, he was a decent guy. At least I thought he was.

What can I say? I was young and dumb. To think I would be the one to change him was a mistake I would pay for. At the time, however, it was the best course of action to keep everything running smoothly.

"Well, when you put it that way, perhaps you have a point," he said, touching my face lightly as he gave me a slight smile. "Okay then, let's get to work, and then we can go out for drinks after the show."

"Sounds good to me."

That was how I came to date Harwell. That was the beginning of a very tumultuous period of my life. I should have known he would not change, but I needed the cogs to be nicely greased up. That was how it all started. It was time to get to work making IWF the top promotion in the world!

Anubis unleashed a flurry of kicks, but it was not enough to stop Dragon, who came back with a kick of his own that sent him to the mat. Dragon was on top of him again, but Anubis turned it around and got Dragon's back. Anubis tried to apply a rear naked choke, but Dragon was able to block it. Anubis and Dragon brawled a bit at that point, with Anubis getting the upper-hand. Dragon saw an opening to counter, though, and took it. Dragon his the Dragon Fly, then got ready for the Dragon Driver. Anubis countered with a backdrop and then hit the Cutting Edge. Amazingly, Dragon was able to kick out, the crowd solidly behind him. Girl Power v Split Seconds v Corruption and Venom (playing a hunch)

"The Crown Jewel" Bad Ass Brad Jones v Climbatize (because the other name is too freaking long!)

Edgar Dunvegan v "The Warlord of Illusion" Dais

"Sadistic" Steve Liermann v Big Kahuna

Dawson Polaris v Jimmy Dragon (via outside interference)

"The Classic" John Sebastian v "The Master of Cruelty" Anubis (via shenanigans)

Also, a suggestion, if I may. I see the news section above your card, and while some of the events outside of IWF may not be of interest to you, could you at least go into a little detail about the incidents? For those people who haven't played this mod yet, you could take those incidents and turn them into a major part of the story, and thus entice more people to give the mod a try. (If anything, put them from Kate's P.O.V., and have her talk about how she may/may not like the people involved and so forth.)

Course, that's just my two cents.

IWF Tag Team Title Bout

Three-Way Tag Team Dance

Girl Power vs. Split Seconds vs. Corruption and Venom

Cale and Sarah Dunvegan started off this match. As was the case previously, Cale proved to be a bit too much for Sarah to handle at first. He overpowered her and beat her down to the mat, but she would not be denied. Sarah managed to trip him up and get him on the mat. She went for the Twister, but got tossed off. He tagged in BakerMan, and so the two went at it. This time it was Sarah with a size advantage, and though BakerMan tried to keep in the air, she quickly took him to the mat and grounded him. Sarah and Felicia Duarte double-teamed BakerMan for a time with quick tags. BakerMan was in trouble, but he finally took the girls down with a springboard double clothesline. He tagged in Joey T, who quickly entered and cleaned house. Cale and Sekhmet tried to get in on the action, but T was on fire and hammering everyone. T hit the TNT on Sekhmet, but he wasn't the legal man. Eventually, T tagged BakerMan back in, and this proved to be a fatal miscalculation. Felicia came to live and had an aerial battle with BakerMan, and she came out on top. After the Como Usted Quiera, she got the pin as Sarah and Cale cut off T. Split Seconds were eliminated.

Cale and Felicia were left in the ring. Felicia tried to continue using her momentum to her advantage, but Cale clobbered her and then pulled her to his team's corner. Cale and Sekhmet took turns beating on Felicia, but she would not be kept down. Even after being busted open by an uppercut by Cale, Felicia kept fighting on. Sekhmet and Felicia were in the ring, and Felicia was finally able to get some offense going. Sekhmet tried to wrestle Felicia down, but she took him out with a flying spinning leg lariat. Felicia tagged in Sarah, who quickly wrestled Sekhmet into a clinch. Backed up against the ropes, Sarah whipped him around and tripped him up. Cale, however, entered the ring and took Sarah out before knocking Felicia off the ring apron. Cale then distracted the referee as Sekhmet smashed Sarah in the face with a chair. Cale left the ring, and Sekhmet got the pin to retain the IWF Tag Team Titles.

IWF Television Title Bout

Edgar Dunvegan vs. "The Warlord of Illusion" Dais

This match started out clean enough. Edgar Dunvegan was able to take the aerial offense of Dais and turn it around on him. Edgar took Dais to the mat after cutting him off in the air, then wrestled him. He tried to make Dais submit several times, but he kept getting to the ropes. Dais came back and hit a springboard DDT on Edgar to turn the match around. Dais hit several high spots, but was unable to put Edgar away. Edgar drew on the cheers of the crowd to get hyped up, and he fought back with a frenzy. Edgar tried to go for the Air Anchor, but Dais countered with a backslide, almost getting the pin. The two brawled a bit at that point, but Edgar wrestled Dais back to the mat. Dais kept getting to the ropes, then used them to choke Edgar. He tossed him to the corner, and accidentally nailed the referee. Dais grabbed the IWF Television Title belt and nailed Edgar with it, then roused the referee. Dais went for the pin, but Edgar somehow kicked out. The referee was still recovering as Cale and Sekhmet made their way to the ring. Cale distracted the referee as Sekhmet and Dais took out Edgar. As they left the ring, Dais was able to get the pin and retain the IWF Television Title.

Last Man Standing Match

"The Crown Jewel" Bad Ass Brad Jones vs. Climbatize

This match was brutal from the opening bell. Climbatize quickly tossed Bad Ass Brad Jones out of the ring and started tossed him into the ring posts. Climbatize made early progress with a powerbomb on the concrete floor, but BABJ beat the ten-count. BABJ took advantage of a mistake by Climbatize to whip him into the guardrail. BABJ grabbed a chair and went to town on him. Climbatize was down for a time, but he beat the ten-count. BABJ wrestled Climbatize down at that point and tried to wear him down with submissions. Climbatize wouldn't budge, and came back with a heavy offense by slamming BABJ's face into the ring steps, busting him open. Not to be denied, BABJ fought back hard and hit an inverted powerbomb on the ramp, busting Climbatize open. They fought in the aisle for a time and up the ramp toward the stage. Climbatize tossed BABJ into the stage post below the Imperia-tron, then tried to hit the Cliffhanger off the stage. BABJ counted with an inverted DDT. Climbatize still got up and had some fight left in him. They brawled on the stage, and eventually both fell over the side when BABJ misjudged his position with a Russian legsweep. The two both managed to get up, and they fought back toward the ramp and onto the stage once more. Climbatize was trying to get BABJ back toward the ring, but BABJ had other ideas. BABJ took Climbatize's leg out from under him and put him in a heel hook. After doing enough damage, he grabbed Climbatize and hit the Tremor of Terror through the stage. This time, Climbatize couldn't answer the ten-count, giving BABJ the win.

Hardcore Match

"Sadistic" Steve Liermann vs. Big Kahuna

Steve Liermann attacked Big Kahuna before the opening bell, brawling with him and backing him into a corner. Big Kahuna, being much larger, used his size to his advantage and knocked Liermann off. The two brawled back and forth, and Kahuna eventually sent Liermann to the floor with a ropeflip clothesline. Kahuna took the fight to Liermann, who was able to counter and knock Kahuna into the ring steps, busting him open early. Kahuna fought back with a series of punches and sent him over the guardrail and into the crowd. Kahuna cleared out the fans, then grabbed a chair, climbed onto the ring apron, and nailed Liermann with an amazing flying chair shot. Kahuna hit the Hawaii Hurt on the concrete floor, but only got a two-count. The fought back and forth in the crowd, and eventually made their way up the stairs. Kahuna tossed Liermann down the stairs, doing some serious damage, and then nailed him with a chair to bust him open. He still couldn't quite get the pin, though. Liermann started fighting back and tripped up Kahuna. Liermann took control of the match at that point, hitting a series of chair shots and knocking Kahuna up the stairs. Liermann then tossed him off to the floor. Bad Ass Brad Jones came out at this point and double-teamed Kahuna with Liermann. This brought out Climbatize, who cleaned house and took BABJ out of the equation quickly. Liermann recovered and set up a table under the balcony, then dragged Kahuna up the stairs. Kahuna fought back at that point, and they brawled on the balcony as more fans cleared out of the way. Liermann hit the Shellshock on Kahuna, but didn't quite get the pin as Kahuna kicked out at the last second. Liermann pulled Kahuna up at that point and seemed ready to toss him off the balcony and through the table. Kahuna reversed it, though, and ended up sending Liermann off the balcony and through the table. Then, to the amazement of all, Kahuna hit the Kahuna Bomb on Liermann from the balcony. This resulted in a three-count, and Kahuna retained the IWF Hardcore Title.

This time, Dawson took him over with a hip toss. Dragon up, but Dawson with another hip toss. Dawson took Dragon to the mat this time, kept him in a front facelock, then hit a DDT. IWF World Heavyweight Title Bout

"The Classic" John Sebastian vs. "The Master of Cruelty" Anubis

John Sebastian looked to make a solid run at the IWF World Heavyweight Title in this match against Anubis, and he actually had the crowd behind him because of the hatred for Anubis. They wrestled for position early on, with Anubis catching Classic in a front facelock. Anubis tried to take Classic to the mat, but he countered with a Northern Lights suplex for a two-count. Anubis tried to take Classic's legs out from under him, but Classic jumped over him and caught him with a kick to the head. Classic whipped Anubis into the ropes and hit a shoulderblock, then went after the legs. He stomped the inside of Anubis's thighs hard, but Anubis kicked him away.

Anubis got to his feet and hit a Yakuza kick on Classic, then went for the Cutting Edge. Classic countered with a backslade for a two-count. Classic went after the legs again, but Anubis kicked him back off. Anubis nailed Classic with a ropeflip clothesline to send him to the floor. Once there, Anubis hit a baseball slide and knocked Classic into the guardrail. Anubis went to the outside and tried to ram Classic's head into the ring post, but Classic countered and busted Anubis open. Classic rammed Anubis's head into the ring steps next, then whipped him into the guardrail. Anubis came back with a series of kicks, but Classic hit a "Classic" low blow and took Anubis right back down. Classic threw Anubis back into the ring after a warning by the referee.

Classic went for the "Classic" Cloverleaf and locked it in. Anubis struggled to reach the ropes. Anubis was having a hard time, but he refused to tap out. After about a minute in the hold, as the fans were cheering for Classic, Dais, Cale, and Sekhmet ran down to the ring. Dais got into an argument with the referee, as he also tried to keep Cale out of the ring. This allowed Sekhmet to grab the IWF World Heavyweight Title belt and smash Classic with it, busting him open. Dais, Cale, and Sekhmet were ejected from ringside, but the damage had been done. Anubis pulled Classic up and hit the Cutting Edge for the pinfall to retain the IWF World Heavyweight Title.

Trouble in Paradise

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/DreamGoddess666/KateAvatar.jpg

The show had gone fairly well in my opinion, but there were problems that I had to deal with. As I sat in my office, wondering what to do with the pile of complaints on my desk, I pondered if he was more trouble than he was worth.

Doug Dunvegan himself, however, had told me how important it was to keep Brandon Harwell on board. He was nice enough to me when we went out together, but backstage he was apparently an absolute monster. Last week, he played a cruel prank on Joey T, and during IWF Nuclear Winter, he was causing all sorts of trouble backstage. I had tried being gentle with him, and I decided to continue to be gentle with him.

There was a knock at my door, and I sucked in a harsh breath. Brandon entered the room with a smile on his face. I sighed.

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/DreamGoddess666/BrandonHarwell.jpg

"Why the long face, babe?" he inquired, noting my expression.

"We have some problems," I replied.

"Like what?"

"Have a seat," I told him, trying to remain professional. He had only been my boyfriend for two weeks, and he was already trying my patience at work.

"What's going on?"

"Look, everyone backstage is complaining about your attitude," I explained, lowering my head. "First the prank on Joey T, then all the bragging and being so high on yourself. You're acting like you're carrying the company, and everyone is getting pissed off about it."

"Look, I've always been the one making this promotion great, and I demand respect for that!" he exclaimed, blowing even this small talk out of proportion.

"I know you're done great things, but you don't have to brag so much about it," I told him, reaching out to him; he simply glared at me. "The fact that we're dating isn't helping matters because people are feeling like I'm giving you special treatment. The problem is that they're right, I am giving you special treatment. I wouldn't put up with this crap from anyone else, but I know how valuable you are and I care. I know that deep down, you're a good person. I just want others to see that as well."

"This is a waste of time," he said, getting up and heading for the door. "I'm sick of these little talks. Just let me do my thing and we'll be just fine. I'm trying my best to work with you, and I really like you, but you're starting to be a nag."

With that, he walked out of the office. My eyes were wide with disbelief. He had told me off. It seemed that the only people he respected were the women, and that was only if they gave him special attention. I shook my head, trying to make sense of it all. I knew I had to keep him happy, but how was I supposed to keep him and everyone else happy at the same time?

"The Real Deal" Scott Ericson vs. Jimmy Dragon

This was a masterful match on the ground, with the two wrestling for position early. Dragon got the upper-hand for a little while, taking Ericson down with the Dragon Hammer for a two-count. Ericson fought back hard and turned the tide after a big Russian legsweep out of nowhere. Ericson looks ready to maybe take the win when Dragon tosses him out of the ring. They fight on the outside a bit, and Dragon tosses Ericson over the guardrail. Dragon goes back to the ring to avoid getting counted out, and that is when Anubis, Dais, Cale, and Sekhmet all run down to the ring. Dragon takes the defensive as the referee tries to prevent the interference. Dragon hits Sekhmet with a savate kick, Cale with the Dragon Hammer, Dais with a spinning heel kick, and Anubis with a high-angle dropkick. The referee manages to count Ericson out in the meantime, as he was unable to get back up and make it back to the ring. It was an odd ending to an otherwise good match.

Edgar managed to break free, but Blanchard was all over him. Edgar came back with a clothesline, then hit an Asai moonsault for a two-count. This was an all-out brawl from the opening bell. Climbatize tried to stand up to The Keldon Warlord, but was out-sized and over-powered. Warlord stomped Climbatize to the mat and started working on her neck. Warlord put Climbatize in a Camel Clutch, but Climbatize would not give in. Warlord pulled Climbatize up and whiped him into the corner, then put the boots to him. When he was unable to get a pin, he went to grab his halberd, but Climbatize cut him off and pulled him down with a reverse neckbreaker. Climbatize took control for a little while, kicking and stomping Warlord. Warlord would not be denied, though, and fought back, tossing Climbatize into the corner. There, he hit the Keldon Burial to get the three-count.

IWF Hardcore Title Bout

Hardcore Match

"Sadistic" Steve Liermann vs. Big Kahuna

George Foreman apologizes in advance, as this was supposed to me a Japanese Barbed Wire Match, but PPV network executives forced them to change it, calling it "too risky". The arena is filled with boos as they realize that this will be a dull Hardcore Match. Still, Steve Liermann and Big Kahuna do their best to entertain. Kahuna knocks Liermann to the floor with a ropeflip clothesline early on. Kahuna takes Liermann and slams his face into the ring post before grabbing the ring bell and nailing him with it. Liermann is busted open early, but he will not be denied. He fights back and knocks Kahuna into the ring steps. Liermann then reaches under the ring and pulls out a barbed wire baseball bat. The fans actually cheer him for using the weapon, and he nails Kahuna hard with it, busting him open. He hits him again, knocking him over the guardrail and into the crowd. Liermann follows up, but Kahuna grabs a chair and knocks the barbed wire baseball bat from his hands. Kahuna hits Liermann then and goes for the pin, but only gets a two-count. Kahuna follows up his offensive, but Liermann grabs the barbed wire baseball bat and nails Kahuna in the groin with it. Liermann then hits the Shellshock to get the pin and win the IWF Hardcore Title.

IWF Tag Team Title Bout

Four-Way Tag Team Dance

The Militia vs. Girl Power vs. Split Seconds vs. Corruption and Venom

Mista Ed and Cale started things off. They brawled all over the ring, but Ed managed to get an upper-hand and trap Cale in his team's corner, where he and Shorty Biggs double-teamed the big man. Cale was down, but not out, and took them down with a double clothesline. He then tagged out to Felicia Duarte. Ed and Biggs did not see her coming, and she wiped them both out with a flying spinning leg lariat. She then started hammering away at Biggs. Ed tried to save Biggs, but Sarah Dunvegan cut him off and tossed him out of the ring. Felicia pulled Biggs up, and he raked her eyes. Biggs tossed Felicia into the corner and set her up for the Short Cut, but Felicia tossed him to the mat. Felicia then hit a moonsault for a two-count. Felicia pulled Biggs up and hit the Como Usted Quiera to eliminate The Militia.

BakerMan entered the ring next, hitting a flying clothesline on Felicia. Felicia fought back with a series of punches, then tagged in Sarah. Sarah wrestled BakerMan to the mat, but he kicked her away and hit an enzuigiri to stagger her. BakerMan tagged out to Joey T, who entered the ring and cleaned house. Sarah tried to intervene, but was only taken down along with Felicia. T then knocked both Cale and Sekhmet off the ring apron, where BakerMan went after them both. T pulled Felicia up, but she took him over with a surprise backdrop. T got back to his feet, but fell to a dropkick from Felicia. Felicia tagged out to Sarah, and the two double-teamed T. T was unable to fight both of them off, and Sarah eventually hit the Hurricane Press to pin him and eliminate Split Seconds.

Cale entered the ring and wrestled with Sarah, powering her down to the mat and stomping her. Felicia got to the top turnbuckle and nailed him with a flying headscissors. Sekhmet entered the ring and cut her off at that point, and a brawl erupted between all four competitors. Sekhmet tossed Felicia out of the ring. Cale choked Sarah with the ropes, and while the referee was busy making a five-count on him, Sekhmet smashed Felicia with the ring bell, knocking her senseless and busting her open. Sarah was left to face both Cale and Sekhmet by herself, and she was double-teamed. Sekhmet then distracted the referee as Dais ran to the ring and tossed a chair in. Cale hit a DDT on the chair on Sarah, busting her open, and then kicked the chair out of the ring. Sekhmet left the ring, and Cale hit the Black Lightning Suplex to end the match and retain the IWF Tag Team Titles.

IWF World Heavyweight Title Bout

Casket Match

Jimmy Dragon vs. "The Master of Cruelty" Anubis

Jimmy Dragon and Anubis locked up and wrestled for position early on. Dragon got the upper-hand early on, wrestling Anubis into the corner. Dragon hit several chops to Anubis. Dragon then placed Anubis on the turnbuckle and took him down with a belly-to-belly superplex. Anubis was already hurting, and Dragon stomped him viciously. Anubis rolled to the outside, but Dragon hit him with a tope suicida. Dragon whipped Anubis at the casket, but could not get him inside it. Anubis fought back by wrestling Dragon into a clinch and hitting several powerful knee strikes followed by a high knee. Dragon was staggered a bit by this.

Anubis whipped Dragon into the ring steps, then gave him a vicious kick to the head. Dragon was busted open by the kick, and Anubis kept striking him. Anubis went to mount Dragon, but was tossed over with a monkey flip. Dragon went after Anubis, but got caught in a clinch again and was taken to the floor with a belly-to-belly suplex. Anubis got side control and rained down punches on Dragon, who could only cover up. Dragon tried to bring his legs up around Anubis's head, but was unable to do so. Anubis tried to transition to a mount, but Dragon got the sweep and spun around to a back mount from which he hit a series of elbows to the back of Anubis's head.

Anubis managed to slip out of the back mount, and when Dragon charged him, Anubis used Dragon's momentum to whip him into the ring post. Anubis moved in to capitalize, but Dragon was getting fired up. Anubis went for a Yakuza kick, but Dragon caught his leg. Anubis went for an enzuigiri, but Dragon ducked down and caught Anubis in a waistlock suplex on the concrete floor. Dragon dragged Anubis toward the casket, and it loooked like victory was at hand. Then the lights went out. After several moments, the lights came back on, and Dragon was surrounded by Dais, Cale, and Sekhmet. Dais moved in first, and fell to a savate kick from Dragon. Cale tried to grab Dragon, but was brought over with a snap suplex followed by a kick to the back of the head. Sekhmet grabbed a chair and slammed Dragon with it several times. Sekhmet and Anubis then double-teamed Dragon and stomped him into the floor. Anubis and Sekhmet then stuffed Dragon into the casket and closed the lid, giving Anubis the win to retain the IWF World Heavyweight Title.

"In light of the recent booking mishap because of those ignorant network executives, my idea is for Imperia Corporation to expand into the media," I explained as I sat across from him. "That way, we can have our own network and do whatever we want on it. Naturally, there will be the normal selection of pay-per-views as well, which should bring in extra revenue. I've been working on this proposal since I got up, and I think you'll like the numbers."</div><p><span style="font-size:12px;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p><span style="font-size:12px;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"This is pure genius, Kate," he commented with a nod and a smile. "I can have this set up in a few weeks. Definitely in time for Battlezone. Edgar was able to come back and wrestle him down to the mat though and keep him down. Edgar worked over Dais's legs in an attempt to take away the bulk of his arsenal. Dais fought back hard, though, and slammed Edgar's head into the turnbuckle. Dais tried to whip Edgar to the opposite corner, but he collided with the referee. Dais picked Edgar up, but Edgar hit a sidewalk slam. Edgar went to the top turnbuckle, but Anubis came down and crotched him on the top turnbuckle. Anubis hits the Cruel and Unusual Punishment, then pulls Dais on top before rousing the referee. With that, Dais wins back the IWF Television Title.</div><p></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;">
