Climbatize and Jimmy Dragon locked up, wrestled for position, and Dragon got the early advantage. He used some power throws to wear down Climbatize, but couldn't keep him down. Climbatize came back with a series of punches that rocked Dragon into the corner. He hit some clotheslines, then took Dragon down with a superplex. Climbatize controlled the pace of the match, but Dragon kept fighting the good fight. When Climbatize went for the Cliffhanger, Dragon pushed him off and hit the Dragon Fly. The ring is set up for a talk show. George Foreman comes out dressed in a tuxedo and carrying a cane. Randy Orton is with him. They banter about recent political events, and eventually get to the topic of Ric Flair's retirement. Orton says that he grew up watching Flair, so it's sad to see him hang up his boots. Foreman says it's only natural for a man such as Flair to go out while on top.

Jerry Dunvegan interrupts the talk show and storms the ring, saying he's wrestling royalty as the heir to the Clan Dunvegan mantle. He says Ric Flair was a washed up old man and reminds everyone that he was the one to beat him for the NWA World Heavyweight Title to end his last reign as champion. He then kicks George Foreman in the nuts and hits the Enforcer on Randy Orton.

In an unimpressive match, Jerry Dunvegan goes nuts on Shorty Biggs. Biggs tries his best to counter Jerry's offense with some brawling and aerial work, but Jerry is just too much to overcome. One Enforcer later and Jerry wins the match.

Cale and Sekhmet make their way to the ring. Sekhmet says no girls will ever take the IWF Tag Team Titles from them, and that last week's win was a fluke simply because they had been feeling ill due to food fed to them by the crew earlier. They present their conspiracy theory, but the crowd ain't buying it. Cale then gets on the mic and completely flips out, shouting that he's going to end the careers of Sarah Dunvegan and Felicia Duarte. Even Sekhmet is stunned by Cale's outburst.

1 star?

Really?

I have only two letters for whomever is downgrading my threads:

F U

I wish whoever was doing it actually had balls to admit to it and wasn't such a coward that they had to go around antogonizing me in secret for no reason whatsoever. Whomever you are, LEAVE ME THE F ALONE!

I would not take it to heart, it seems almost every new diary on here gets a one star rating. I know mine did.

Yeah, ignore the stars. Unfortunately, you can't really use it as an accurate gauge of a diary, not unless there are quite a few people who have voted. There had been diaries hit with the lovely 1-star before they ever even got to their first show, so obviously people are doing it for the sake of doing it.

Thanks for the comments . . . My confidence has just been shaken because of the lack of feedback and the lack of votes . . . It makes me wonder if anyone even really cares about the diary, or if I'm just wasting my time working on it . . . I have self-esteem issues . . . Bad ones . . .

Two people just commented. It means they are reading along.

Alot of us do not comment unless we get some sort of urge to do so. The 1-Star phenomonon has been going on for quite some time now, and as was said, seems to hit every single person doing a diary.

I remember a thread somewhere about this, and I believe a few people hit all diary's with a 1 star if they only see one vote, or see a five star vote, thinking it's the person that made the diary's vote. They feel that if they hit it with a 1-star it will counter the author's own vote. It's really a shame people do this, because lets say everyone votes on their own thread... It's only one vote, and it carries "equal" weight for all diary's. IF I thought this was a problem, instead of 1 voting people, I would just hit myself with a five star vote as well. Alot of folks don't like to vote for themselves, but it's the only thing I can think of to counter it.

I wouldn't worry about it one bit. Worry about entertaining the people reading your mod;).

Thanks for the support. I'm gonna keep putting out the shows that I put out, and make them as entertaining as possible. Thanks for the kind words. I think maybe encouragement is just what I needed to keep going. Sometimes I have self-esteem problems. I'm gonna keep working hard and putting out the best shows I can, especially when it comes to PPV time.

Feedback can a tough thing around these parts. This has been discussed a fair bit before, often in the Diary Writing Tips thread (if memory serves). Everyone who takes the time and effort to put together a project on here wants to see feedback from their readers. In a sense, its validation. But it doesn't always happen, not the extent most writers would like to see. Its not that the readers don't care (necessarily) or can't be bothered... With newer projects, its really just a learned response.

Many diaries that are started on here do not last. The majority make it only a few shows. This is something readers have come to realize, and many readers seem to stay in the background a bit off the start, unless it the writer is already known (and sometimes even despite that). This creates a catch-22 situation - some of those diaries die off early because the writer feels ignored and gets discouraged. This is why a very common diary writing tip is that people throw around is the "write for yourself" first and foremost.

Now the added complication in your case is that you are not only using an unknown promotion, but also a created universe. There are some familiar workers but also many unfamiliar ones. That also means that readers take a bit longer to become familiar with your project.

The only real way to know if people are reading is to watch your view count. Can that be discouraging? Absolutely. But its the only way to know for certain. Even the most established writers and respected diaries won't always get feedback or even predictions. It happens. The only thing you can do, as a writer, is to keep going with it. If the quality is there, the readers will come.

I'll say that your diary's quite entertaining, and it's interested me in this mod of yours. Jimmy Dragon for World Champ! :D

I seond this comment and all the other positive comments. One lil suggestion that could bring in more feedback would be a prediction form. I LOVE these forms as it gets my opinion out there about your wrestlers and characters and such.

Anyhoo, Big Kahuna--future world champ! lol

You already know my stance on eventual world champions.

But to echo the others...I was doing a dynasty with TEW 07, and I was getting discouraged because only the same two or three people were posting stuff. Granted, I was doing a two-promotion game, and managed over a year in-game before my computer crashed on me (I think I was on my 30th show when t happened), but I kept going because I figured someone had to be reading it, even if they didn't comment explicitly. Just gotta buckle down and keep at it.

Main Show

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/DreamGoddess666/GeorgeForeman.jpghttp://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/DreamGoddess666/RandyOrton.jpg

The ring is set up for The George and Randy Show. George Foreman comes out with Randy Orton close behind him. Foreman says he wants to teach Orton how to be more of a gentleman, but Orton doesn't seem interested. Orton suggests a bikini contest between random women in the audience, with the winner getting a date with him. The girls go wild, but Foreman rolls his eyes.

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/DreamGoddess666/JohnSebastian.jpg

John Sebastian comes to the ring, wearing the "Classic" shades and adjusting the "Classic" coconuts on the way down. He steps into the ring and shakes hands with Foreman, but pretends that Orton isn't even there. Classic says that no show is complete without a "Classic" element, so he's come to bring some much-needed entertainment to the program. Orton tries to talk to Classic, but is asked who he is. Orton says his name, but Classic just responds by asking him why anyone should care about him. Orton says the girls love him, so he's there to bring in the young female demographic. Classic laughs at him and says he's just a "Classic" nobody with no talent and an imaginary following. Orton objects, but gets a "Classic" Beat Slam for doing so. Classic then gets bored and tells Foreman to get to the announcers' table and get the show on the road.

"Hell Cat" Kate Avatar vs. Jimmy Dragon

This match was Kate Avatar's best yet, and she was not she to lock up with Jimmy Dragon. They wrestle for position, and Dragon gets her in a front facelock. Dragon takes her to the mat and works her over, but she squirms free and comes back with a series of kicks that knocks Dragon into the corner. She then hits a monkey flip to send him to the middle of the ring, and climbs to the top turnbuckle and hits a moonsault. Dragon kicks out, then shoots for her legs. He catches her and takes her to the mat, then quickly locks her in the Final Countdown out of nowhere for the win.

Dawson Polaris vs. "The Real Deal" Scott Ericson

Dawson Polaris comes into this match strong, wrestling Scott Ericson to the mat early on. Ericson fights out of it easily enough and punches Dawson into the corner. He takes him down with a superplex, but that's not enough to keep him down. Dawson fights back valiantly and starts working over Ericson's legs. When he goes for the Polaris Deathdrop, though, Ericson gives him a mule kick. Dawson still has some fight in him. Ericson then uses brass knuckles from where the referee can't see and knocks Dawson out cold with a punch to get the pin.

Mista Ed and Joey T start this one off. T gains control early with several punches and then a T-Line off the ropes. Ed tries to fight back, but takes a T-Bone. T almost gets the win, but Ed kicks out. Ed then hits a low blow to turn the tables on him. Ed isolates T in his team's corner, where he and Shorty Biggs double-team him. BakerMan enters the ring and breaks it up, and the referee sends BakerMan and Ed out of the ring. Biggs works over T's leg a bit, but T is able to fight back and take him down with a shoulderblock. T tags in BakerMan, who is on fire as he takes out Biggs and then Ed. BakerMan hits a series of high-risk moves on Biggs, and looks ready to hit the BakerCut. Ed enters the ring and breaks it up, hitting a flying double-axhandle on BakerMan. Biggs tags in Ed, then goes and knocks T off the ring apron. They then hit the DDC on BakerMan, and Ed gets the pin. Doug Dunvegan, Edgar Dunvegan, Sarah Dunvegan, and Felicia Duarte

vs.

The Dark Warlords

Doug Dunvegan and Anubis started out. Doug used his boxing skills to get an early advantage, but the younger and faster Anubis eventually shot for the legs and took Doug down. Doug pounded on him, then got up enough to tag in Felicia Duarte. Felicia hit a flying spinning leg lariat on Anubis and made him tag out to Dais. Dais and Felicia traded high spots, then they both tagged out to Sarah Dunvegan and Cale. Cale comes in like a raving madman, hammering away at Sarah mercilessly. Edgar Dunvegan and Felicia come in to cut the monster off, but he wipes all three of them out. Cale tags in Sekhmet, and the two double-team Sarah for a bit, hurting her badly. eventually, Anubis is tagged in, and he goes after the hurt Sarah. Sarah fights back, though, and still has some fire in her. Anubis gets side control, but Sarah sweeps him and gets a back mount from which she fires away a series of elbowsmashes. Sarah then tags in Felicia, who hits a moonsault for the two-count. Felicia wears Anubis down some more, but can't keep him down. Anubis tries to make the tag, but Felicia isolates him and double-teams him with Sarah. Felicia goes for the Como Usted Quiera, but Anubis counters with a powerbomb. Everything becomes a mess as Anubis goes for the pin with a handful of tights and Dais, Cale, and Sekhmet cut off Doug, Edgar, and Sarah. Anubis picks up the win for The Dark Warlords.

IWF Television Title Bout

Edgar Dunvegan v "The Warlord of Illusion" Dais

He's the boss's son and a damn good wrestler.

Split Seconds, The Crusader, and Kate Avatar v A Classic Deal and The Sebastian Franchise

I think you yourself have only lost once and that was against Jimmy Dragon. I think you will pull it off to keep your own momentum going.

IWF Hardcore Title Bout

Japanese Barbed Wire Match

Big Kahuna v "Sadistic" Steve Liermann

Big Kahuna IMO can move on up to the TV title cuz the title fits Liermann.

IWF Tag Team Title Bout

Girl Power v Corruption and Venom

Hopefully this is GP's big win. They need those titles.

IWF World Heavyweight Title Bout

Shoot Fight Match

Doug Dunvegan v "The Master of Cruelty" Anubis

A shoot fight seems to fit Anubis a lil bit. Other than that it is a total toss up for me.

I was nearly ready to do this, but I see the author deciding to bring Orton up slowly, eventually going into a feud with Avatar. Of course, I could be wildly wrong but I just don't see the Jesus push starting this early for Orton...at least, not without Orton becoming the prima donna he's been construed as in WWE. I just don't see anyone willingly going that route with Orton.

Just a fun little note about Big Kahuna for those who haven't seen his stats: he's a Super Heavyweight Psychopath with B Rumble and B Flying. Yes, he's a massive monster aerial worker. His Kahuna Bomb is a moonsault. It's like Vader squared. So yeah, there's your fun fact of the day.

Battlezone is gonna be a pain in the butt to write out, but it'll be worth the wait!
