ELPF: News Report Third Quarter (July - September).

 

On the rise;

South Of The Border Pro Wrestling have been on the up lately and are now considered a National Promotion. Pro Wrestling SAISHO have been making great strides in the Wrestling business lately and are now considered to be a Regional Promotion.

 

Whos out;

Eisaku Hoshino has sustained a Strained Rotator Cuff and will misses 2 months of action. Jungle Jack has suffered a Swollen Calf Muscle and will miss 28 days from the end of September.

 

One more match!?

3 Retirements this Quarter and all 3 are Female they are June Butler, Catherine Quine and Carol Singer bad news for fans of Womens Wrestling.

Herman took everything Giovani had to throw at him even going so far as to reverse the Evil-Plex and hit 1 himself getting the 1 .. 2 .. and a kick-out Herman Brehme then picks up the Italian setting him in place for the Dortmund Driver (DVD) the move that beat him last time these 2 fought but this time Giovani was prepared for it and rolled himself off the Germans shoulders with a little help from a rake of his eyes he then almost turned into a Stun Gun but once again he prevented the move being hit and hit a Jawjacker himself followed by a succesfull Evil-Plex this time - 19:36.

Milton Jenkins was rusty, but that will soon go away once he's got a few more matches under his belt. Milton Jenkins was really off his game tonight. Ernest Mahrer and Milton Jenkins just don't click at all, and it showed in their performances.

Davey Celtic was rusty, but that will soon go away once he's got a few more matches under his belt. Davey Celtic and Plat Martin don't seem to click, and it made for an awkward bout.

Don Henderson and Super Falcon don't seem to click, and it made for an awkward bout.

The inexperience of tagging together proved to be the downfall for Wade + Plat and the Martin brothers picked up the win after hitting a Double Stiff kick on Plat and Kelly pinned him while Lance kept Wade busy - 12:02.

Twice Jason O'Conner thought he had the match won with 2 very long 2 counts from referee Humphrey Woolsey, the very resilient "Terror of the Highlands" even kicked out after the Irishman hit him with the Threepwood Driver (pulling piledriver) leaving O'Conner to wonder just how he can finish Henderson off.

 

Don Henderson looked out on his feet after 2 massive charging High Knees from his opponant surprisingly he only staggered but wouldn't go down O'Conner started to get too distracted argueing with some fans that were getting on his back this left Henderson to hit a Tornado Clothesline followed by locking in the Scottish Deathlock (Indian Deathlock) leaving Jason O'Conner with no option but to tap - 49:40.

The announcers put over the fact that Appiah Insane has already held the "Triple Crown" of Championships in the now defunct UCR. Appiah uses his experience to take the early advantage in the match but Giovani soon powers his way back with some massive Right Hands and Big Knee lifts ...

 

... Giovani Maldini battles his way out of a Pain Experiment (Modified Twisting Neckbreaker) attempt hitting a lowish and slightly unethical kick and followed up with the Evil-Plex (Perfect-Plex) - 28:20.

Giovani showd that he will aim to be a Fighting Champion putting his Title on the line whenever he can but Haiti just didn't have enough left in the tank, he did manage to get some good offence though including a big Lariet that almost turned Giovani inside out as well has a series of strikes that looked like on another opponant could potentially finish them off but the Italian is no ordinary "Wrestler" (has Brett Jingo put it) he's a ELPF "Fighter" and he battled back with some rights of his own and a low kick to the stomach followed by the Evil-Plex and the 1 .. 2 .. 3 - 15:29.

You'd be forgiven for being intimidated by the big hulking figures of Abraham Slam and Scheming Behemoth but Buff Martinez and Jason O'Conner sure wasn't, they at the big men right from the bell trying to unsettle their opponants with stiff hits and quick tags using a speed advantage to confuse their much bigger opponants ..

 

... Buff + Jason whip Abraham into the corner and Buff follows up with a corner splash and some hits whilst Behemoth enters the ring and completely flattens Jason O'Corner and launches him into the Cage he then charges at Martinez flattening him into the Cage wall and as he staggers away from it Abraham Slam scoops him up and hits the Kosher Nosha Slam pinning the Spaniad for the 1 .. 2 .. 3 and Abraham Slam and Scheming Behemoth win the match and the Lords of the Cage Tournament! - 18:34.

During the match Nick Adams mentions that here in the ELPF Title shots aren't handed out because you have a dislike for the Champion or if you attack him backstage here you only get a shot if you earn it by winning in the Cage ...

 

... and Cole does just that even after taking a beating from the big Japanese Fighters big strikes he finishes Senmatsu off with the Shining Wizard of Oz after wearing him down with some Lightning fast kicks - 26:36.

Giovani is for once the quicker of the 2 Fighters and uses a hit and run style wherever he can apply it but when Behemoth does finally get a good hit on him he takes him right off his feet and even though the Italian is quick to get up Scheming Behemoth charges right at him on his blind side hitting a massive Lariet and turning him inside out he goes straight

for the pin 1 .. 2 .. Maldini kicks out right at the last second ...

 

.. Giovani Maldini already tried once to hit Behemoth with his Evil-Plex but couldn't get the big man up and Behemoth battled back hitting some big Rights and lifted the Italian up trying for his Crucifix Powerbomb but he couldn't keep Giovani up he had too much left in the tank and has he dropped him Giovani fought back with Rights and Lefts and soon hit the Italian DDT (Jumping Tornado DDT) and pinned the massive Scheming Behemoth for the 3 count succesfully retaining his Championship - 25:33.

after Quick Kick to the big man and shows great bouncebackability to keep coming back after every Scheming Behemoth big move he wriggles his way out of a Crucifix Powerbomb attempt dodges 2 big clothesline attempts and hits 2 Super Kicks knocking the big man to his knees nd then hits the Shining Wizard of Oz and pins for the 3 count - 15:42.

The big man small man combination of VooDude and Mahrerdidn't quite show enough teamwork in this the opening contest with the Martin brothers combining and hitting a Double Super Kick on Ernest Mahrer after they had already took out VooDude with a M.K Explosion (Kelly catapults opponant into Lances feet while he lifts himself up on the Cage) Kelly pins Ernest Mahrer for the win - 11:31.

Bigger proved to be better in this otherwise even contest with Wade Orson missing his chance to win with a poor rookie error with his cover not being good enough to hold Dalca down after he had previously hit a Running Powerslam the Romanian kicked out at 2 and soon got a chance himself and hit the Impaler and made no mistakes covering for the 3 count - 14:17.

Derrick Merrick couldn't put down the big man and only kept the Fight from being a one sided contest by keeping away from Senmatsu's big strikes wherever he can for vast periods of the match the end came via a Running Lariet from the Japanese Fighter and he followed up with a Falling Headbutt to the head of the Manchester native and 3 seconds later and it was all over Munemitsu Senmatsu wins - 17:28.

Davey Celtic hit a number of different kicks in this match showing off his vast arsenal Kicks at his disposal but Jason O'Conner showed just how quick he can beat you when Celtic missed a Running Knee and the Irish American hit a kick of his own to the Glaswegians gut and folled this with his Threepwood Driver (Pulling Piledriver) and pinned for the 1 .. 2 .. 3 O'Conner wins - 16:33.

 

Out comes someone who MMA fans and Inspire fans would recognise Arjen Van Den Leyne "The Dutch Master" a man who has not only held MMA titles all over the world but has won Kick Boxing Tournaments the whole world over a very respected fighter indeed he has been retired from MMA for over 5 years but is returning to fight here and now in the European League of Professional Fighters and is facing Giovani Maldini for the Triple Crown Championship.

A very even contest that both Fighters put their all into The Dutch Master showed he hasn't lost any Stamina hitting barrage after Explosive barrage of Kicks hitting a particulary dangerous looking Jumping Side Kick and getting a 2 count after a pin and not long after hitting a Outside Crescent Kick that almost took Maldini's head off never mind the loooong 2 count it got ...

 

.. Maldini did have a close pinfall of his own after he hit the Evil-Plex after catching Arjen's foot following a few short kicks neither man could gain an outright advantage for very long and the match went to a time limit finish and a Draw was a fair result with a standing ovation to both men as they shake hands after the match - 30:00.

The Mysterious newcomer Sifu showed to be extremely calm and cool and used an offence of Quick Strikes and Throws which he used to good effect and beat the Manchester native with a Jumping Roundhouse Kick after just too many kicks too the head Merrick was out cold - 12:51.

Jason O'Conner had earned this chance after being on a good run of wins lately and surprised Giovani with a few perfectly hit suplex's in the early going he hit a particulary nasty looking Double Underhook Overhead release followed by a BostonCrab attempt but Giovani managed to reach the cage side and force Humphrey Woolsey to make O'Conner release the hold ...

 

.. Giovani soon managed to lock his Irish opponant up and hit the Evil-Plex with a pin attempt 1 .. 2 .. Jason O'Conner kicked out a very very long 2 count and O'Conner battles back using his close shave too make a come back hitting strike after strike backing the Italian into a corner of the cage and Giovani catches a Side Kick attempt from O'Conner and spins him around hits a Kick of his own then fools O'Conner with a pretend Right Hand making the Irish Fighter duck and he hits his Italian DDT (Tornado DDT) and pins for the 1 .. 2 .. 3 Giovani Maldini retains the Triple Crown - 20:37.

A sad day for wrestling and German wrestling fans in particular. The company blamed mounting depts has the reason for closure and in a Radio interview former Head Booker Brett Jingo was said to be deeply upset at the recent turn of events and believed the company was on a slow upturn and just about to turn things around.

 

OOC: So there you have it we went bankrupt i might sim for a few months and bring the promotion back or wait until TEW10.
