From NWAwrestling.com:

It's been a tournament for our competitors of the NWA as they continue their quest to get that NWA World Heavyweight Championship. So without further ado, a preview to the next Showdown episode.

Debuting to NWA Showdown is a wonderful and talented independent competitor, Frankie "The Future" Kazarian and on the next episode he'll be taking on another debuting competitor, he's none other than Davey Richards.

Jake Hager's force continues to grow in strength but will his opponent, Yamato Onodera stop his winning streak?

Go Shiozaki and Josh Abercrombie will team up for the first to take on the tag team of KENTA and Naomichi Marufuji.

A contest of dreams: Two of the most talented competitors that the NWA has are none other than Colt Cabana and Eddie Kingston will compete on an exhibition match.

And on the main event, it'll be the first round of the Semi Finals for the Heavyweight title tournament as "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson will take on "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce in one fall match.

All this and more so tune in on NWA Showdown every Tuesday Night on ESPN2

Frankie Kazarian vs. Davey Richards

Two competitors who are familiar with any style there is. Kaz makes his debut quite an impact being cheered by the crowd throughout the match. Davey Richards is getting some mixed reactions from the fans but that could be solved once he had more things to do with the promotion.

This was cool to see actually. These two men goes all out with their high flying moves and technical submission. There were hardly anyone brawling their way out to win. Kaz here really got the crowd going "WOAH!" with some of his innovative technician moves.

Davey Richards kept his cool when the match wasn't in his favor but he's head turned red once he loss it after receiving Kaz's finisher move: Back to the Future.

Once more, we go backstage with Stevie Ray.

"Adam Pearce. Finally I could get a word with you man. So far you've come across men like Anthony Carelli and Mike Quackenbush. And now moving onto the semi finals of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, how does it feel to get closer to that NWA gold?"

"Right there. You know how it feels to get closer to that gold. It doesn't feel great. It feels good. And when I inflict pain on my opponents, I get the same feeling Stevie. The pain that they feel is the enjoyment that I receive. And now tonight tonight I get to face you Bryan Danielson."

"Yeah your opponent for tonight."

"Yeah your right Stevie. My opponent. You call yourself the Best In The Business. The Best in the world. You've beaten many opponents and you've shown them that you are better than all of them. Well you haven't seen me Bryan Danielson. Yeah that's right. I couldn't notice you signing here and win your first match against Chris Hero Bryan but I guess that you are trying to prove yourself that your better than everyone else. But tonight Bryan, I'll rain on your parade to showing these idiots that came here that me, Scrap Iron Adam Pearce can beat the Best in the World. You can't declare yourself the best yet Bryan until you've become the best. Tonight, I'll show these hooligans that you are nothing but a pathetic piece of crap."

The camera fades as Adam Pearce shows a grin of confidence.

A fairly short match between two good guys.

Yamato showed a lot more to offer on the table this time. In fact, he was showing a lot more than his last match. From jaw dropping high flying moves to some skills on the technical wrestling approach. Onodera was dominating the game throughout.

But in the end, he just suffered a Falling Gutwrench Powerbomb from Jake Hager: All American.

"Stevie Ray here and welcome my guest at this time, they call him classic for some reason. Whether he make you laugh or he make you go crazy, please welcome Colt Cabana."

"Hey Stevie Ray!! I didn't know you work here?"

"I didn't either. Now tell me Colt, tonight will be your debut night against a man so dangerous. So full of action! He's a man that everyone has to watch out for Colt. And his name is Eddie Kingston."

"You know Stevie Ray. Me and Eddie go way back ahead of time. We go from the past, the present and to the future. Everywhere we went there Stevie. But tonight, Eddie you and I start over baby!! Tonight you and I will fight on a hell of a match. I know that you'll take me to several places and I know I'll take you to several places Eddie Kingston but I'll tell you this. I'll tell you this Eddie. You and I tonight classic epic match only here to be seen at NWA Showdown. So Eddie, tonight you and I are going for a showdown man!!!!!"

KENTA & Naomichi Marufuji vs. GO Shiozaki & Josh Abercrombie

An all out high flying action between two tag teams. KENTA and Marufuji were the talented tag team that can take on anyone whether it'll be monster or even midgets.

Shiozaki and Abercrombie were an interesting team to have in the first place. A good in ring action that the fans really enjoyed throughout. KENTA and Marufuji showed the fans a wild ride filled with high flying moves. Shiozaki and Abercrombie had got nothing to show and thus their momentum in the match quickly fell down to the bottom. All round competitors, Marufuji ended the match with a punishing Cobra Clutch.

"Stevie Ray right here ladies and gentlemen, and Frankie, Frankie. Kaz can I get a word with you?"

"Anything for you Stevie."

"You just faced Davey Richards, one of NWA's newest and hottest talents today. How does it feel to come back here backstage getting the good win."

"Well Stevie, I gotta say that going against Davey Richards was pretty hard. Davey let me just say that you are a hell of a competitor, I really think that you can succeed here in the National Wrestling Alliance and I probably think we could have another potential match going on here can't we? I also have to say that you are a good talent to be here on the NWA and....."

And as he was interrupted, he was attack from the back by....

Don Callis and Tom Howard. Callis grabs the mic out of Stevie Ray as we see Howard beating down Frankie Kazarian.

"And right there ladies and gentlemen!! Witness the power that my client has in store for you fans. Witness the might and strength that my friend here has to show all of you."

And after Tom Howard was done, they leave the set and we see an unconscious Kazarian laying down on the floor.

A match filled with submissions, suplexes and quick holds. Michael Modest was a man who was trained in the uses of submission holds and using it to win against your opponent.

Takeheshi Morishima puts out another spectacular performance even though he loss against Steve Corino last week. The fans are starting to chant his name as he starts to gain momentum out of it.

Michael Modest tries to stop that momentum however after putting his opponent into a bunch of suplex variations. But in the end, those suplexes were countered by Morishima and turned it into one devastating Backdrop Driver.

Two of the best indy workers today, Eddie Kingston and Colt Cabana are sensational to the fans that attended our show tonight. The fans got really worked up with this match. They hated Eddie Kingston for his character when he entered the ring. And when Colt Cabana came in, it was all fun for fans. They were cheering his name throughout and there was no stopping them to do so.

The match itself had the same quality as the last one but the crowd got more into this than the other. The fans are starting to get excited when the two started exchanging punches and DDT's. They are starting to take anger to each other and putting their body on the line, they were up to show some extreme bumps. Cabana whips Kingston to the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Kingston ducked and gave Cabana a lariat. He thought it would do but Cabana's spirit didn't give up.

Like Cabana said an epic fight, it really was. And a good way to end it was a concept of counters moves and all that good stuff. Kingston was about to hit the Backdrop Driver when Cabana suddenly went for a Colt .45. Cabana goes for a three count and gets it.

In his locker room, we are seeing as of right now, Jake Hager and Stevie Ray.

"Jake Hager, can I get some words with you?"

"Sure."

"Tonight another opponent was a victim of one of your powerbombs. You are making a lot of impact here so far and now does that feel?"

"Like I said it feels great. It feels awesome. Tonight was another man. Tonight people have seen what I got to offer once more and tonight I've seen what I'm becoming. I'm going to become a hero here Stevie. I'm an All American. And men like me, men like Americans are proud of themselves. We are proud to be American. We are proud to have something to offer to this nation and I'm proud of my win tonight. I really am. And I'm looking forward for more."

"Jake Hager right there ladies and gentlemen. And now its time for the main event."

NWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament

Semi-Finals Round 1

Bryan Danielson vs. Adam Pearce

The main event for the night. The American Dragon comes to the ring with several cheers from the crowd. Scrap Iron himself got a lot of heat from the fans and so he was disgusted by the many. All of what is going to happen will be determined by them. And whoever will move on to the finals will be the best man on this competition.

An epic proportions of a match, it was a confrontation that no one could forget. Fans would go cheer once Danielson locks a submission hold and they would hate Pearce when he was on the big build up momentum. Danielson's flexibility showed the fans what they came to pay and see. And he was impressing the crowd as well with numerous kicks and punches.

This turned into a solid match rather than an uncontrolled brawl. The psychology of this match flowed alright. These two men really knew how to put up a solid main event and the crowd were happy about the result.

Adam Pearce hits several punches before he kicked Danielson in the gut and signaled for a Rackbomb. The fans started giving off heat to Pearce as he signals. But when he turned around, Bryan Danielson takes him down with a kick and locks the Cattle Mutilation. Pearce tries to go for the ropes. He's almost there.

But the pain that is being inflicted to him caused him to tap before even making it to the ropes. Bryan Danielson goes to the finals!!

Winner: Bryan Danielson

Freaking New Years haze made me miss two predictions.

If you want to keep doing the diary then continue it on TEW '08. The last thing you'd want is covert the data right away and have everything be less than ideal thanks to the problems that comes with conversion. Nobody's not going to not read the diary because it's run on TEW 2008.

Bryan Danielson vs. Masato Tanaka

Two men who have done anything there is to be done in the independent scene are going to compete on television to gain more overness. Of course the fans would've paid some sum to see this match happen. But rather a main event and not an opener. It's been hell for fans to come and see this at this time but at least they are paying what is worth to watch.

Just your basic all round wrestling match. It wasn't just technical wrestling nor some brawling into it but a classic match between two highly rated competitors. Bryan Danielson might be as well a champ with his performance but the fans doesn't see what could come from him if he was ever to be a champ.

Good solid opening match where Tanaka got some good pops even though he's still one of those bad guys. Bryan Danielson gets the win with after hitting the Bridging Dragon Suplex then locking the Cattle Mutilation.

Backstage, we see Stevie Ray following around an angry Kazarian.

"Frankie. Frankie man. What's up?"

"What's up Stevie? What's up? Don Callis is what's up Stevie. Did you know where he went?"

"Actually I haven't seen him tonight so far."

"Well I'm looking for him right now. Here, give me the damn mic."

Kaz takes the mic away from Stevie and uses it for louder voice.

"Don Callis, if you are here right at this moment, you better show your face and whoever your client is, he better show his face as well because I'm just in the mood to kick both of your asses!!!"

"Relax boy!"

Don Callis appears out of no where as he faces both Kaz and Stevie.

"Yeah yeah I know you want my client don't you? You want to see Tom Howard so you can kick his ass huh?"

"Yeah Callis now where is he!?!?!"

"Kaz he ain't here right now but I'll tell you what. I've arranged a match with the NWA Committee my man and if you want my damn client so bad why don't you face him at the first ever NWA pay per view this Sunday?"

"Your on Callis. You are on."

"Good. By the way Kazarian, my client would like to send you this message of his."

Curious, Frankie wonders what kind of message would Tom Howard would send. That's until...............

Tom Howard comes out of no where in streets clothes and hits Kaz in the back with a steel chair. He continues to hit him until Callis stopped him. Howard then speaks as he drops the chair.

"See you Sunday!!"

After making a short transition, we go to Chris Hero backstage inside his locker room.

"Y'know. In reality, I should've been the one to beat Danielson on the first night of this show. But I guess I wasn't. In reality, I'm one of those men that should've made it to the semi finals. But I guess I wasn't. Bad luck? Bad timing? I don't think so. But in reality, I am the future of this business. Everything has been clear to all of you. Two weeks ago, I've made my point clear. Two weeks ago, L.A. Park was a victim of the Hangman's Clutch. A submission hold deadlier than Bryan Danielson's Cattle Mutilation. Deadlier than Bret Hart's Sharpshooter. And much much deadlier than a simple Full Nelson. Some companies out there make up the most simple submission holds and name them something bad ass. That's not what the Hangman's Clutch is all about.

This Sunday, there will be a pay per view. And I'm scheduled against no one. I guess that there is no one good enough of my caliber. I guess that everyone is scared now because of what I did with L.A. Park! But in reality, all of you should be scared of me. So at Sunday, at that pay per view, there will be a challenge. Whoever is brave enough to face me, step up at Sunday and let me determine your faith."

Looking forward to continue his solid mark, Jake Hager goes all out on winning this match against Vito. The crowd are starting to like Jake Hager despite trying to develop his All American character.

Vito Thomaselli had a short run of domination in this fairly long match. From the middle of the match to the near ending, Thomaselli showcased his talents to the fans.

Jake Hager turns the tides after hitting an impressive power slam. He signals for the Falling Gutwrench Powerbomb. Hitting it, it was a guaranteed win for Hager.

As Jake Hager's music hits all over the arena, we see Jim Cornette, NWA Committee member and colour commentator go to the ring for an interview with Jake Hager.

"Jake Hager. Finally to see a wrestling caliber such as you. It's been four weeks since the debut of our television show and you've been impressing the NWA crowds and as well the NWA Committee on your performance. Are you proud of being one of the most impressive superstars that the NWA have seen so far?"

"I'll be pretty straight forward with you Mr. Cornette. Since the start of the show, I was pretty nervous for any match that I compete on. But now that I got used to it, well it feels good. I've been trying to keep myself up with the promotion and I'll try to even impress more and more of these NWA fans all over the country. I've made myself pretty clear. People call me an All American."

"All American? What does that mean?"

"Mr. Cornette. All American means you gotta live up for your country, fight for your country and I'll tell you that you have to love this country man. That's what being all American is all about. And I'm damned enough to be one. So fans, here is All American, Jake Hager, out of here. Thank you Mr. Cornette."

"Why thank you Jake."

Hager exits the the building as the music plays. As he walks on the ramp....

Adam Pearce appears right on his back and attacks him. He lays him down and out. And once he was done beating the hell out of Jake Hager, he poses for the fans, gaining mainstream heat.

The Briscoe Brothers vs. Davey Richards & Super Dragon

The most experienced tag team in the world who can fly and brawl since the Dudleyz and Edge & Christian is the Briscoe Brothers. Dusty refers to them more as the Briscoe Boys but their name is professional enough to be called. Davey Richards and Super Dragon is a team from the Guerrilla or PWG for short.

A solid tag team action, the Briscoe Brothers showed their experience as a team by using several tag team moves in perfection such as a Double DDT and a double dropkick. As well being good technical wrestlers, they put their opponents into numerous holds.

Super Dragon and Richards' fame came in kicking when they gave a cheap shot to Jay. Then it almost came to downhill for the Briscoe Brothers. Having a solid momentum, Super Dragon and Richards came out good on this match. That's not until Jay got the spotlight on him and came back saving his brother and giving a violent Death Valley Driver to Davey Richards in this epic tag team match.

"I'm Stevie Ray right here backstage and here I am with The King of Old School, Steve Corino and his consultant of some sort, Traci Brooks. And Steve Corino, a couple of weeks ago you won and moved onto the Semi Finals of the NWA World Heavyweight Tournament. And tonight you are going to be competing against Yoshihiro Tajiri in that spot for the Finals to determine Bryan Danielson's opponent this Sunday. Your thoughts?"

"Well Stevie Ray, it only gets so simple as it could be each and every night. Two week ago, I've beat that whatever Japanese fasto two weeks ago and now I'm beating another Japanese fella? Well with Tajiri, I've had matches with him back in the good ol' days of extreme independent promotions. But tonight, The King Of Old School with assure another win Stevie. Tonight, there are only two things that the King of Old School, me is going to do. Number one, give Tajiri the beating of his whole lifetime and two. Two: win and move on to the Finals against Bryan Danielson.

Stevie Ray, you gotta think. What I did to the Japanese Fatso Takeshi Morishima was impressive. And the same will happen to Tajiri tonight. I know all the tricks in the encylopedia of pro wrestling Stevie. So tonight, Tajiri will meet The King Of Old School and will experience a deserving loss."

Probably the highest match rating that I've seen with Sylvester Terkay. Takeshi Morishima made himself look good on this match against an opponent who looks a lot more menacing than him.

Just a solid brawl between the two men. The fans ended up liking it just like how they loved the opening match. This should've been a good opener as far as history confirms.

Takeshi tries to execute a Backdrop Driver but with the size of Terkay, there was no chance. So giving him multiple Lariats took the menacing giant down.

"Stevie Ray back again and here I am backstage is none other than one of the finalist to the NWA World Heavyweight title tournament, Bryan Danielson."

The fans started cheering for Danielson.

"Now Bryan, now you got a chance on the big leagues and you are just days away from becoming a NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Your thoughts?"

"Ah I've battled many men to get to this NWA World Heavyweight title. Back at Ring of Honor as their current champion, I'm looking forward into adding another gold into my waist. I'll bring that belt just to show all of you later. But I'll cut to the chase Stevie. From the first show, Chris Hero and I fought a great bout. And then last week when I fought Adam Pearce in also a great bout. And this Sunday, Glory of Champions is it? I'll have the chance to get that glory. Whoever wins tonight with the match of Steve Corino and Yoshihiro Tajiri, I'll be looking forward to face either one of them in a classic main event match of the Pay Per View. Both men have been on their peak as of right now and one of them could have a chance as well to beat me. I've guaranteed my spot. Now its time for either one of them to guarantee their spot on and fight me this Sunday. So Sunday I'll be on the best shape of my life and win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship."

Bryan Danielson leaves, having Stevie Ray alone. We go back to the ring for the main event.

NWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament

Semi Finals Round 2

Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Steve Corino

The main event. Steve Corino receiving some heat was building up each and every week he appears on television or even an event. Tajiri gets some pop but not as much as the amount of pop that our top faces gets.

The match itself was quite long lasting more than what would the main event of a Sports Entertainment promotion would be. Steve Corino and Yoshihiro Tajiri showed a lot to the fans. From kicks and high flying moves, it was all there on that match. Fans started cheering for both man and it didn't matter because they were focused on the action that these two are showing to them.

Steve Corino's ways of winning is slowly building up with weak cheap blows and ref getting distracted by her consultant Traci Brooks. Corino took over of this advantage and took out Tajiri in a cheaters way of winning. The match gets taken out of the ring as Tajiri hits a dropkick right to Corino that goes him going outside. There on the match got a bit more intense. With the referee counting them out, both came in at the count of 8. But as soon as they came in, Brooks grabbed the ref out of the ring. Then there on, Corino gave Tajiri three consecutive low blows.

Corino hits an Old School Bomb. Then he went for the pin. But Tajiri playing dead got Corino's pin turned around against him when Tajiri executed a roll up on him. No referee, Tajiri's pin didn't count at all.

Both men stood and then Tajiri hits a Brainbuster. He went for the pin this time and the ref came back in the ring. Kicking out, Corino stood back.

The ref distracted by Ms. Brooks once more, Corino gives Tajiri the Snake eyes, getting him blind and then sending him a vicious Old School Kick.

This time, Tajiri never kicked out.

Corino goes to face Danielson this Sunday at Glory of Champions.

Thanks for predicting on such the first shows guys. I appreciate it and makes the shows worth writing. :)

Well this is the final show to the next pay per view. After the pay per view, whoever has either gets a perfect score on the card or has the highest points throughout the game wins a special prize from the National Wrestling Alliance. So thanks for those who continued to support me with this work and this continues till beyond TEW '10, I'll be damn glad to show you guys a good ride with the NWA.

(And to show the WWE & TNA to focus more on wrestling. Just saw the "Monday Night War" and damn both shows stunk badly but we'll see.)
