KOBE: Battle for Supremacy

Recommended Posts

This dynasty is based on a mod using the 2002 real world data from Genadi.

http://67.19.230.90/~arles/forum/showthread.php?t=68467

The rosters are compiled from an 11 person/promotion draft that was done using Genadi's scenario. The backdrop for the story is that this is an alternate universe where instead of their being one great wrestling power (WWE) in 2002, there are 10 United States promotions and 1 Japanese promotion of more or less equal prestige, popularity and finances. The only thing that will separate them over the years is the quality of the shows that they put on...

I'll be playing KOBE, the promotion I drafted.

Some Additional Addendum's:

My user character is Teagan Presley:

Born Ashley Erickson, "Teagan Presley" is an American professional wrestler and manager. Her stage name in part comes from her parents initially wanting to call her "Teagan" and in part as an homage to Lisa Marie Presley.

Presley began training in dance and gymnastics when she was seven. She moved with her family to Mission Viejo, California at age 15. It was there that some KOBE talent scouts spotted her, and soon after she was signed to the promotion due to her natural beauty and charisma.

She expressed an interest in booking, and she was made a low level member of the creative team.

There is another worker on my roster not from the default data as well. A created worker using 1750 points (minus 100 reputation) that I was allowed to make in the draft because of a special box that I drew by chance.

Here he is:

AJ Starlight has taken the wrestling world by storm since entering the industry in January of 2001. An aspiring model before entering the business, Starlight's great looks, intuitive psychology and superb athleticism have seen him quickly become a household name. Numerous wrestling magazines have called him a once in a generation talent, with PWI going so far as to say he might be the most naturally gifted prospect of the past 50 years. The small scar on his face only seems to add to his appeal.

Starlight is a personal favorite of KOBE owner Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and is being groomed to be one of the future stars of the company.

The Promotion

King Of Brute Enforcers (KOBE)

A cult based promotion out of the Southwest with 50 prestige.

Founded by The Rock in 2002 with the help of an anonymous benefactor, KOBE is known for keeping a roster sprinkled with impressive physical specimens - either known for their good looks, size or both.

Thanks to a working agreement with a myriad of different promotions across the wrestling world which allow KOBE to share talent across rosters, there is no reason to believe that the promotion doesn't have all the tools needed to succeed.

1. The Rocks comes out to work the crowd before the show. (8 minutes) - A

2. AJ Starlight fights Arn Anderson in a dark match - (10 minutes) - D

3. The Rock comes out to the ring and announces a tournament including himself, Bret Hart, Goldberg, Scott Steiner, Scott Hall and a mystery opponent for the KOBE King of Kings title in order to crown the first champion. Bret Hart comes out and says that he is such a big star that he shouldn't have to fight in a tournament for the title and should simply be given his shot. The Rock disagrees and says that KOBE has some of the greatest talents in the world today, and that while Bret Hart is a legend, everyone he has mentioned deserves the title shot. Bret Hart tells The Rock to shut up and learn some respect for those that came before him, and that he disagrees with his assessment. The Rock gets angry and says that since he seems to want it so much that it's going to be him, The Rock, versus Bret Hart for the title and that he's going to whip his candy ass. Goldbergs music then hits and he says that it isn't a title fight without him, and he demands to be included. The Rock relents, and makes it a triple threat match for the main event tonight. (20 minutes) - A

4. AJ Starlight and Brian Kendrick (Hero Tonic) fight Evan Karagias and Kaz Hayashi (new age alliance) for the KOBE Alpha Dogs tag team titles. (19 minutes) D-

Hardcore Holly sees the ambush going on backstage, fighting them off enough for he and Arn to escape. Holly screams at them that if they want to make a statement to follow he and Arn to the ring. This sets up a match right then (3 on 2) between Holly and Arn versus the new stable dubbed "The Giant Problem". (15 minutes) C-

6. The entire group proceeds out to the ring, where they begin a 3 on 2 handicap match. After 14 minutes in the ring, The Giant Problem is victorious and Matt Bloom gets the pin over Arn Anderson. (14 minutes) D-

7. Eric Bischoff introduces a new tag team he is managing (Brock Lesnar and Bob Sapp). He challenges anyone in the arena to face them, and Carly Colon and Caprice Coleman (The Perfect 10's) come out to answer the challenge (10 minutes). C+

10. Buff Bagwell, Davey Smith and Chuck Palumbo are fighting a triple threat when The Unstoppable Force (Lesnar and Sapp) come to the ring and interfere in their match, incapacitating them all and ending the bout in a DQ. (12 minutes) D+

11. Scott Hall and Scott Steiner come into the Rocks office backstage complaining about their exlcusion from the title fight. The Rock says he doesn't care how they feel about it, the match is now a 3 way and they should have spoken up sooner. He does, however, allow them to fight each other for the KOBE Regional title. (12 minutes) B-

12. Scott Hall and Steiner fight each other for the regional title when about 20 minutes into the match Batista runs in and hits both with a chair when the referee is distracted. The match ends in a draw when both men are counted out for not getting up. (21 minutes) B

13. The Rock is backstage talking to Teagan Presley and basically telling her that she is beautiful and will go far in this business if she keeps her integrity and innocence when Bret Hart sees them. He tells The Rock that his days are numbered, and that he will lose soon. The Rock says this is certainly not the case, and bids Teagan farewell because he has to go whip some ass. (6 minutes B+)

14. The Rock vs. Bret Hart vs. Goldberg. The Rock wins after a 21 minute bout and claims the championship. (21 minutes) B-
