classic32
The options are blocked out in the demo version, but are there options available in there to increase the speed of simming games? Also is there an option in there for simming multiple seasons? Thanks.
Tim Plum
Speed of simming games is reliant on your computer, I sim a game in about 1 second. Yes there is an option to sim multiple seasons.
classic32
Alright, thanks for the response. The multiple season thing I really like.
classic32
Just to clarify. This means we will be able to tell the game how many years to sim, we can leave the computer for a few hours, and when we come back the years we have simmed will all be done, without us having to press a button, right? BYU 14
This feature would be really cool to build a history of say 20-30 years then step in and coach.

Azamien
This feature would be really cool to build a history of say 20-30 years then step in and coach.
I do that with OOTP, and would like do it in this game, too. Except I usually go overboard and do like 100 years. Then after hours and hours of having it do that, I get bored with the league within a week and do it again. Heh. Arlie Rahn
Yeah, we've setup sims of 20-30 seasons and let it go overnight to sim. On average, going from week 1 of camp in year one to week 1 of camp in year two will take 20-28 minutes based on the speed of your CPU. So, it takes a little more than an hour to sim three full seasons (as a benchmark).
classic32
That awesome. Thanks for the reply. I love setting up long histories and going through all the records and such, and than trying to beat them.
jbmagic
so we will be able to set all teams to cpu while we sim so many seasons for history than pick a team? or we have to pick a team first? if so wont there be a chance to get fire if you sim lots of seasons? BYU 14
The other nice thing about this is being able to set the start year in the Final release (So I have heard) so that you can start your history in 1970 and sim to 1990 of whenever. But anytime you do a full season sim, your performance isn't impacted by the results. So, you could choose Arizona, sim 20 seasons and then take over with a clean slate. Arlie Rahn
Is your coaching record affected at all?
Yeah, it would be because you are listed as the head coach.
AgustusM
perhaps a nice feature that could be added at some point would be something along the lines of: pre-sim start year: start year: and then a warning - this will take about 8 hours are you sure you want to do this now? you click, yes, go to bed come back the next day and have a history and you can start with a clean record. just a thought
BigDawg
I personaly love the sim speed, taking 3-5 seconds per game as it gives me time to read the scores as they are posted, about the speed you see the score crawl on the bottom of the TV on ESPN :) Any faster you couldnt read the scores as they unfold. Tim Plum
depending on your machine the sim speed will vary as I said earlier in the thread I get a game simmed in 1-1.5 seconds. If you want faster speeds then turn off some of the junk you have running in the background.
