WWE 2010: A Different Approach

Alright, this is my second (third?) WWE Dynasty, and it pretty much picks up from the Royal Rumble, and because I can't be bothered to go back and get the results for EVERY show going into the rumble, here are the results to the Rumble:

 

WWE Presents the Royal Rumble LIVE! on Pay-Per-View; January 31st, 2010 from the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, GA:

- [DARK MATCH] Mickie James and Gail Kim beat Michelle McCool and Jillian Hall

- [ECW CHAMPIONSHIP] Yoshi Tatsu beat Christian to become the new champion.

- Bret Hart came out and called out Vince McMahon again. Vince appeared on the video screen and told Bret that he's not going to give Bret the satisfaction of appearing in the ring tonight, and the screen goes black. Bret says that Vince will answer him by the end of tomorrow night's RAW, or he's going to kick Vince's ass in the parking lot, and it'll be a damn shame that millions of people will miss out on it.

- [DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FINALS] Maryse beat Kelly Kelly to win the championship

- We're taken to Shawn Michaels and Triple H drawing their numbers for the Rumble. Shawn jokes about the number he pulled, saying that it's Hornswoggle's shoe size. Horny kicks Shawn in the shin and runs away. Shawn lets out a scream and runs after him. Triple H looks at his number, grins, and we cut to..

- [WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP] The Undertaker beat Rey Mysterio and Batista to retain the championship

- CM Punk cuts a promo on the Royal Rumble, saying that he is the symbol of hope for the WWE Universe, and that tonight, he will become the first Straight Edge Royal Rumble winner, and the first Straight Edge WrestleMania Main Eventer.

- Randy Orton is standing by, talking to Legacy. He tells them that tonight, the group needs to ensure that Randy wins the Royal Rumble again. Ted says that all Orton wants is to keep holding Legacy back. Ted tells Randy that the only reason he qualified for the Rumble was because of Legacy. Orton goes to slap Ted, who blocks the slap, slaps Orton, and walks away.

- A video recaps Sheamus' open challenge to any wrestler in the WWE, which was accepted by Shelton Benjamin. We're then shown Benjamin pinning Sheamus twice in tag matches on RAW in the past two weeks.

- [WWE CHAMPIONSHIP] Sheamus beat Shelton Benjamin to retain the championship.

- A hype video for the Royal Rumble played.

- [ROYAL RUMBLE] Shawn Michaels (Entrant #1) won the Royal Rumble, last eliminating Triple H (Entrant #27).
