Ooki Na Saru

 

Ooki Na Saru is an aging highflyer from Japan who gained early fame as one of the brightest stars in the high impact Japanese Cruiserweight scene of the 90's. Early in his career he wrestled as the masked "Super Ooki" and was once the subject of a massive bidding war between Kokka No Wrestling and the US-A promotion in the United States. He opted to stay loyal to his countrymen and promotion.

 

His refusal of US-A's offer is also considered a point of interest in a string of events that eventually led to an exodus of American talent looking for a new promised land.

 

Ryuu Doragon

 

Ryuu Doragon has been considered the franchise player in Kokka No Wrestling for 15 years and has the record for title reigns at 14 to prove it. But like most of the upper half of the roster, despite being at the top of his game, age and injuries are beginning to take their toll.

 

He list of accomplishments include classic matches with many other International Superstars who have paid a visit to the Orient including members of SAW, US-A and RCW.

 

Along with his in-ring duties he was recently assigned as head trainer of the Imperial Dojo in hopes that he can find and train the next generation of stars for Kokka No.

 

Death Metal

 

An International Superstar who has wrestled in every corner of the World including India, South America and Africa.

 

Death Metal rose to fame as the unstoppable young arch-nemesis of Gideon Wright and that persona carried over through multiple federations until a match in Kokka No Wrestling with Bokodou that saw both men bruised and battered. This also resulted in Death Metals first known removal of his original iron mask that was dented in the match.

I love the logo, but the background colour doesn't seem right. Although I'm not sure what to suggest in its place.

EDIT:

I believe he used paint.net/gimp/photoshop, opened Jennifer Avatar's picture from WMMA2, then cutted the shirt and hair, then pasted them to the Jennifer picture :)

Yeah, the background is what is bugging me, also. I was thinking black or red (both "hardcore" colors), but I'm not sure.

 

Oddly enough red was the colour that came to mind for me aswell. But I wasn't sure if it would work so I didn't suggest it. Might be worth a go though.

I like the idea of those as well. I also wouldn't mind seeing the Scottish flag as the bg with the Lion and Hardcore in red.

I would say flesh him out a little bit. Put a bit of meat on the bones if you catch my drift. I like the style though. :)

 

Just my opinion, but I agree with London..give him a little muscle so he doesn't look so small.

 

Also, those eyes look a little like he's sad..maybe adjust those so that when you render the mask there's more confidence in his expression. If he's a top guy he needs to look like a top guy..as you said

 

Great idea for the overall look:)

I'm trying to render El Juez (The Judge). He wears a mask and plays a superhero gimmick, righting wrongs and delivering justice. He is also the top star in NELL. Trouble is I'm having trouble figuring out how to make him look like 'The Judge' with only his head showing.

 

EDIT: Oh yeah, he occasionally teams with El Avispa, so I'd be going with the same kind of look, rather than a Judge Dread type look

 

I know you said no Dread-type, but I couldn't resist :D

I'm officially announcing my retirement from female rendering. For whatever reason, every single time I try and create a female they get a sever case of man face and it is doing my head in. :mad:

 

Fair enough, but if you want to still do them let me know and I'll try and help/give some tips. ^_^

Some tips would be great. There must be something very basic that I am missing, because I don't struggle at all when it comes to rendering males.

 

I'm assuming you're using Victoria 4.1/4.2 with morphs. In that case I'd say the big differences are that Vicky allows you to morph the face in unnatural ways (as opposed to M4 which doesn't) so don't consider the maximums of the actual morph sliders as viable options.

 

In general with female faces if the face is coming out too masculine try for bigger eyes, a smaller chin and smaller mouth. Just heading in those directions a bit can go a long way. Also, the starting textures play a big role. Sometimes just picking a texture with more make up can radically alter the look of the character to make them more "pretty".

 

You might want to pick up one or two sets of morphs to use as face basis. Eventually you won't even need them but it helps a lot to have something really feminine to work from (V4 default is pretty but since she's an amalgam of female faces she isn't particularly feminine).
