I'm assuming you're using Victoria 4.1/4.2 with morphs. In that case I'd say the big differences are that Vicky allows you to morph the face in unnatural ways (as opposed to M4 which doesn't) so don't consider the maximums of the actual morph sliders as viable options.

In general with female faces if the face is coming out too masculine try for bigger eyes, a smaller chin and smaller mouth. Just heading in those directions a bit can go a long way. Also, the starting textures play a big role. Sometimes just picking a texture with more make up can radically alter the look of the character to make them more "pretty".

You might want to pick up one or two sets of morphs to use as face basis. Eventually you won't even need them but it helps a lot to have something really feminine to work from (V4 default is pretty but since she's an amalgam of female faces she isn't particularly feminine).

Thanks for the tips. I should have been more specific. I can render a generic female, what I can't seem to do is look at a picture and create a female render that looks similar without creating something that wouldn't look out of place in the planet of the apes. :p

Not sure if this is good news or bad news.

But I've been posting some of the renders to my facebook in an album and you guys are now hits with the wrestlers there.

Sounds like good news to me. ^_^

London here is an example of what I'm talking about (Textures):

This is the same exact render morph/figure wise. The only thing I changed is the texture, and she goes from being attractive to ugly.

I actually have certain textures I use when I'm trying to make an average looking worker, pretty one or ugly one. :)

If you're trying to make a worker look exactly the same as someone else the best thing to do is a custom texture of their face:

Tom Cruise, George Clooney and Brad Pitt. I grabbed a high res portrait, made a skin texture and then after that it's a lot easier to get a likeness.

How the hell did you do that???

I feel this could be a ground breaking discovery for me.

If you go into the Michael/Vicky texture folder you'll find a bunch of files that look like this (Don't want to stretch page so there is a direct link):

http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/9926/faceby.jpg

If you want to easily find the directory a texture is located in then just assign it to the character in poster and then go to the "tools" tab and look under "surfaces". The "skin face" tab will be where you find the image like the one I posted above.

If you want to make a texture of a celebrity/person you known in real life, from there you need to find a high resolution image of the person (front facing, preferably) and then do an overlay of the face over the texture matching those proportions. From there you don't even have to be that that close with the actual eye/nose/face shape etc. in your morphs before you get a convincing likeness.

There are a few programs you can buy that will do it for you, but the job they do isn't really very good and you'll still have to go in photoshop and do some edits.

When we first started doing the project way back when I was trying to render all of my workers this way but it was too time consuming and they clashed badly with the other renders which are more cartoony. So ultimately I just scrapped the idea, at least for the community project. ^_^

That's cool man. Would you mind sending a link to Cherokee Warrior's facebook so I can see it as his profile pic. (Don't worry, I won't send him a friend request or anything inappropriate. It will just make me feel important. :p
