Canadian Golden Combat: Reforming its legacy

Recommended Posts

I hate to say this but I believe Chris Kaladaro would have a better shot at winning the gold here.:p

I wasn't exactly expecting that reaction but It makes sense because Destiny is a tag team wrestler. I was actually thinking of giving Kaladaro the title a while ago but he would of only been a transitional champion he would win it and then loose it without having any defenses. However at the end of the day I decided not to do it because it might devalue the title.

Destiny is really old as well and that was more what the comment was about. I just could not see Destiny as the CGC Champion when you have much more talented workers there.

It's cool to do it once or twice but if you were to do it more than that It would be overdoing it in my opinion. That is why I tend to book matches where it is obvious who the winner is for the TV shows and build to the PPV where a title change could happen.</p>

CGC Title Bout Wrestling

Sunday, Week 3, May 2011

Abbotsford Recreation Complex (British Columbia) – 2,000

Shown Live on Maple Leaf Sports

[At the start of the show, Eddie Chandler makes his way out to the ring he grabs a microphone and begins to speak.]

Eddie Chandler: “Tonight I am issuing an open challenge to anyone in the back who thinks they have what it takes to defeat me tonight in a match. So come on.”

[With that said Eddie takes the microphone down from his mouth and waits patiently in the ring for someone to make their way out of the entrance ramp. Then a man emerges and it appears that it is Ricky DeColt. Eddie sees Ricky on the entrance ramp and continues to speak.]

Eddie Chandler: “Oh man what do you want, I already beat your brother at DeColt WrestleFestival Day 1 and at Chaos in the Cage so what do you want.”

Ricky DeColt: “I am here to do my brothers bidding.”

Eddie Chandler: “Oh sure because he can’t do it himself.”

Ricky DeColt: “Stop right there Eddie you think that just because you have been the CGC World Heavyweight Champion since Chris took over that you have one up on Alex because he hasn’t captured the title since then. Well he will soon enough but he told me to soften you up as you go into your next match because he doesn’t want you to be at 100%.”

Eddie Chandler: “Do you know why he doesn’t want me at 100%, its because he can’t beat me, he did beat me at Luck Of The Draw in February. But the only reason why he didn’t beat me was because I wasn’t at my best and he caught me off guard.”

Ricky DeColt: “Save it Eddie the only reason he hasn’t beat you besides that one time is because whenever you two have a match you have your Elite cronies help you out.”

Eddie Chandler: “Yeah what’s wrong with that?”

Ricky DeColt: “This company was founded on one on one matches where there are no interference that is how we became the success that we have and your ruining it by having everyone that you can at your side. What do you say you do the honorable thing here tonight and wrestle me one on one with no interference. Tell Nate, Fate and Destiny to stay in the back and to not help you and then wrestle me and see what you can really do.”

Eddie Chandler: “You want it, you got it I don’t need anyone to help me win because I am perfectly capable of doing it on my own.”

Ricky DeColt: “You didn’t even win the World Title on your own.”

Eddie Chandler: “Well tonight I will beat you alone and then after you I will go on to beat your brother once more and then onto a World Title match because lets face it after beating Alex so many times I think I deserve it. When I get that match I will win it on my own with no Elite.”

Ricky DeColt: “Well then what are they going to do?”

Eddie Chandler: “You just let me worry about that one and you worry about me beating you in the center of this ring here tonight I will see you tonight Ricky.”

[With that said Eddie drops the microphone and Ricky is shown on the ramp smiling as Title Bout Wrestling cuts to a commercial break.]

Terry Smith sits down with Chris Kaladaro after the latest edition of Title Bout Wrestling.

Terry Smith: “Hello ladies and gentleman and welcome to the latest edition of the show where I sit down with Chris Kaladaro as we review the latest edition of Title Bout Wrestling. Chris its great to have you here as always and what can you tell us about this past Sundays show?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought that it was really well done there weren’t any matches on the show that I would consider bad so that is always a good thing and the angles delivered as well.”

Terry Smith: “Now in the first segment of the night, Eddie Chandler came down to the ring and started to run his mouth and then he was interrupted by Ricky DeColt. They went back and forth on the microphone for a while until finally agreeing to meet in a one on one match that night. What did you think of their war of words?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought it was very well done there is no secret that both men are great on the stick and this segment just proved it.”

Terry Smith: “Now immediately after their back and forth war of words they had a match in the ring, what did you think of the match?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought that it was done very well, both workers gave it their all which both men always seem to do but in the end Eddie Chandler got the best of Ricky and was able to win the match because of it.”

Terry Smith: “To everyone’s surprise as well Eddie was able to win this match by himself what are your thoughts on that.”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well it just showed that he can get the job done by himself and doesn’t need his guys to help him or do it for him. I think since he has formed the Elite he has lost confidence in thinking that he couldn’t do things on his own and with people putting that thought in his head he had to win this match on his own and that is exactly what he did.”

Terry Smith: “Onto the second match of the night between Fate and Jack DeColt what did you think of this match?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought it was good even though it was probably the worst match on the show if this match was the worst then that really tells you how good this show actually was. This match was just your typical eight minute match that Jack DeColt was able to win in the end.”

Terry Smith: “In the third match and the co-main event of the evening, Alex DeColt took on Steve Frehley what did you think of this match?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought that this match was very entertaining it had everything that a match should have if not more. At the end of the match Steve was able to hit Alex with the Frehley’s comet and as a result win the match and give him more momentum towards another match with Joey Poison for the CGC World Heavyweight Championship.”

Terry Smith: “Now after the match Alex went to the back because well he had to run the rest of the show with you but Steve stuck around and took a seat in the front row for the main event between Joey Poison and Destiny. What did you think of Steve Frehley doing this?”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well he is just trying to get into the head of Joey Poison before they have their third match at In The Company Of Legends in June which by the way was just signed. I think that Steve is doing a great job of this and come Friday, Week 3, of June he will do whatever he can to get the title back and if he is not successful in doing so I will be quite shocked.”

Terry Smith: “Finally in the main event of the evening and the fourth match of the night, Destiny challenged Joey Poison for the CGC World Heavyweight Championship what did you think of this match?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought it was a good match, everyone seems to give Destiny and Fate crap for being old but the fact is that although they might be getting up their in age they can still have great matches. This match was just a prime example of that so if people still talk bad about the Soldiers Of Fortune after seeing this match they shouldn’t. Although Destiny was unsuccessful in winning the title and bringing it to the Elite he had a great showing and I am sure that Joey respects him more than he did going into the match.”

Terry Smith: “Well Chris that does it for this week’s edition of the show I would like to thank you for being here.”

Chris Kaladaro: “It’s always a pleasure Terry.”

Terry Smith: “Until next week this has been Terry Smith saying so long and I will see you all Sunday alongside Adrian Garcia as we call all of the action on Sunday’s Title Bout Wrestling.”

OOC: I am probably going to be busy around 11pm so that is why I am posting this now versus then. Some of the matches that will be taking place at the next edition of Title Bout Wrestling will be posted sometime on Thursday so until then feel free to read up on this column and comment if you would like to.

Canadian Golden Combat Presents Title Bout Wrestling

Saturday Week 4, May 2011

Hello ladies and gentleman Adrian Garcia here to welcome you to another edition of the show where I go over what you can expect to see at this Sunday’s edition of Title Bout Wrestling. This weeks show will be taking place live from the Varsity Arena in Ontario Canada and five matches have been signed for the night.

In the first match Jack DeColt takes on Nate Johnson, will Nate win the match and get closer to being the main eventer he desperately wants to be? Or will Jack win the match and prove to Nate that he is nothing more than a glorified upper midcarder?

In the second match of the night one half of the Soldiers Of Fortune meets one half of the CGC Tag Team Champions as Destiny takes on Alex DeColt. Will Destiny win this match and get closer to getting him and his partner another shot at the DeColts tag team titles? Or will Alex DeColt win the match and keep the Soldiers as far away from the tag team titles as they possibly can?

In the third match of the night the second half of the Soldiers Of Fortune takes on the other half of the tag team champions as Fate takes on Ricky DeColt. Will Fate win this match and will The Soldiers be two for two over the tag team champions after this match? Or will Ricky win this match and like Alex keep the Soldiers from getting another shot at the CGC Tag Team Titles?

In the co-main event Eddie Chandler takes on the current number one contender for Joey Poisons CGC World Title as he meets Steve Frehley. Will Eddie win the match and prove that he should be the number one contender? Or will Steve win the match and continue on his wave of momentum towards his match with Joey Poison at CGC’s next PPV offering?

Finally in the main event, its champion vs. champion as the CGC Canadian Champion Larry Wood meets the CGC World Heavyweight Champion Joey Poison. Neither title is on the line in this match but Larry will be looking for a victory here to get a shot at the CGC World Title and unify the two belts. While Joey will look to win this match in order to prevent Larry from getting a shot at the World Title. Who will win this match find out this Sunday night on Title Bout Wrestling?

All this and so much more will be taking place on this week’s edition of Title Bout Wrestling live from the Varsity Arena in Ontario Canada. Until then this has been Adrian Garcia saying so long for now and I will see you at ringside as I join my broadcast colleague Terry Smith to call all of the night’s action.

Those matches again are…

Jack DeColt vs. Nate Johnson

Destiny vs. Alex DeColt

Fate vs. Ricky DeColt

Eddie Chandler vs. Steve Frehley

Larry Wood vs. Joey Poison

Canadian Champion vs. World Champion

Neither belt is on the line

OOC: Predictions as always are welcomed the results will be posted on Sunday around 11pm so you have from now until then to make predictions if you would like to do so. So get predicting!

Jack DeColt vs. Nate Johnson

Destiny vs. Alex DeColt

I fully expect that this match and the one with Fate and Ricky will be split. However, I am not sure who will win so I shall just go with both DeColt's for the victory.

Fate vs. Ricky DeColt

Eddie Chandler vs. Steve Frehley

Larry Wood vs. Joey Poison

Canadian Champion vs. World Champion

Neither belt is on the line

Even with neither belt being on the line, I am still going to go with Joey.

Just bumping this for those of you who still might want to predict that haven't done so yet. The results of the show will be posted on Sunday around 11pm Central time but the segments will not be written out this week. Not because I didn't have time but because the angles I used for this show don't really need to be written out or can't be beyond their default decription in the results.

Meeting between Alex DeColt and Chris Kaladaro

First day of June 2011

Alex DeColt: “Alright so another month has passed Chris how did last month go as far as books and that sort of stuff are concerned?”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well once again there’s some good news and some bad news.”

Alex DeColt: “Okay what’s the bad news?”

Chris Kaladaro: “We lost $95,087.”

Alex DeColt: “What’s the good news?”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well even though we lost that money this past month we still have $5,432,617 which is $432,617 more than we started out with when I can here.”

Alex DeColt: “Well that is good news. Now what about storylines how are they progressing?”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well there is the one with Eddie Chandler and yourself which has barely started, there is Shane Nelson vs. Nate Johnson and they have had two matches so far as a part of the storyline. Finally there is the Steve Frehley vs. Joey Poison storyline they have had two matches as a part of their feud so far and will have a third at the next pay per view titled In The Company Of Legends where the CGC World Heavyweight Championship will be at risk.”

Alex DeColt: “Alright that sounds great keep up the good work Chris and touch base with me when you want or need to. That is all that I had for you this month so if you don’t have anything else to add I will see you right back here next month.”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well we talked about the stuff that was the most important, we could probably talk for hours about this stuff but I would prefer to do it in private.”

Alex DeColt: “Chris were alone in the building how much more private can you get?”

Chris Kaladaro: “No I meant somewhere besides here.”

Alex DeColt: “Alright sounds good, now I have to get back to work.”

Chris Kaladaro: “Yeah so do I, I will talk to you next month if not before then.”

Alex DeColt: “Sounds good Chris.”

OOC: The next interview between Terry Smith and Chris Kaladaro will be posted around 11pm central time on Tuesday (later today). Until then feel free to read this meeting and feel free to comment if you would like to do so.

Terry Smith sits down with Chris Kaladaro after the latest edition of Title Bout Wrestling.

Terry Smith: “Hello ladies and gentleman and welcome to the latest edition of the show where I talk to Chris Kaladaro and find out a little inside information that we may have not known before or after the show was over. Chris as always its great to have you here and what can you tell us initially about this past Sunday’s Title Bout Wrestling?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought it was a very good show, it wasn’t our best but it was a great show with only one below average match.”

Terry Smith: “Well I would like to move on to the first match of the night which was between Nate Johnson and Jack DeColt. What did you think of the match and do you think that the fans were shocked at who won the match?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought the match was very well done and even though Nate didn’t win he came very close to doing so. I don’t thin the fans were shocked because like I have said here before whenever a DeColt wins a match in their company you shouldn’t be shocked.”

Terry Smith: “Onto the second match of the night between Destiny and Alex DeColt, what did you think of their encounter?”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well I stated earlier that the show had a below average match and this is the match I was talking about, it’s probably not Alex’s fault but rather Destiny’s. Both members of the Soldiers Of Fortune have really been showing their age in the ring and that is not always a good thing.” I thought that the match was like I said below average but it served its purpose and at the end of it Alex won.”

Terry Smith: “Now even though Alex won the match he came out a looser as he was met by Eddie Chandler after the match who beat him into an oblivion in the entrance ramp. What did you think of this attack by Eddie on Alex?”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well there rivalry is not over and even when it is over it will truly never be over because these two hate each other so much. Hell we are lucky that we can have them in the same locker room without having them beat the crap out of each other at any point of the show. Other than when they do but when they do it at least its in front of the people so that they can see it.”

Terry Smith: “Onto the third match of the night between Ricky DeColt and Fate in the second match of the DeColts vs. The Soldiers Of Fortune series for the night. What did you think of this match opposed to the match earlier in the night between Destiny and Alex DeColt?”

Chris Kaladaro: “Well honestly I thought that this match was way better than the Alex vs. Destiny match, I said earlier that both of the members the Soldiers Of Fortune were showing their age in the ring. I would like to take that back by saying that only Destiny is showing his age in the ring if that gets me heat with some of the boys backstage or Destiny himself then oh well but I am just calling it like I see it. I thought that the match was excellently done and the fact that they have great in ring chemistry only added to the match from my standpoint.”

Terry Smith: “Onto the fourth match of the night and the co-main event as Eddie Chandler and Steve Frehley faced off in a one on one match. What did you think of their match?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought it was the best match of the night, both guys went in with the goal to win and while only one man coming out the winner that being Steve Frehley, I thought Eddie did an outstanding job even though he lost the match. I almost wish that this match would have taken place on a pay per view because the match might have been better but we can always have a rematch on pay per view but for now I am just happy that the match was so good and so well received.”

Terry Smith: “Finally as the co-main event ended and as the main event was starting Steve Frehley stuck around and grabbed a seat at ringside near myself and Adrian Garcia to get a closer look at Joey Poison. Do you think that this threw Joey off in a match that he couldn’t afford to loose?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I don’t think it threw him off because Joey is not a rookie and he isn’t stupid he knows what he has to focus on and in this case it was the man in the ring across from him which was Larry Wood. I thought that Joey did a great job in ignoring Steve and focusing on the match which was why he won.”

Terry Smith: “What did you think of the match itself?”

Chris Kaladaro: “I thought it was well done and even though neither title was on the line the winner would be able to say that his title was more prestigious. In the end Joey Poison won the match and was able to make that claim but I think that we already knew that. I thought the match was great and both wrestlers not just one were able to contribute to a great match.”

Terry Smith: “Well Chris that’s all the time we have for this weeks edition of the show, and until this Sunday this has been Terry Smith saying so long. Be sure to join Adrian Garcia live in the studio this Thursday as he goes over some of the matches you can expect to see as a part of our next show. Until then this has been Terry Smith and I will see you on Sunday at the matches.”

OOC: Some of the matches that will take place on the next edition of Title Bout Wrestling will be posted on Thursday. Until then feel free to read this column and comment if you would like to do so.

Canadian Golden Combat Presents Title Bout Wrestling

Saturday Week 1, June 2011

Hello ladies and gentleman Adrian Garcia here live in the studio to talk about some of the matches that you can expect to take place on the latest edition of Title Bout Wrestling. As always CGC’s Title Bout Wrestling takes place live this Sunday night at 8pm on Maple Leaf Sports and this weeks show will take place from the Abbotsford Recreation Complex in British Columbia Canada. We have five matches scheduled for the night so here is what you can expect to see on this Sunday’s show.

Last week Alex DeColt took on Destiny, this week Alex DeColt takes on Fate in a one on one match. Alex won his match last week against Destiny can Alex beat the second member of the Soldiers Of Fortune in Fate? Or will Fate win the match and prevent Alex from doing so?

Last week Ricky DeColt took on Fate, and just like the first match Ricky finds himself in a match with Destiny in a one on one match. Ricky lost to Fate last week; can Ricky redeem himself with a win over Destiny this week? Or will Destiny win the match and cause Ricky to loose his second match in two weeks as Destiny looks to win this match? Will Ricky win this match and prove that last weeks loss to Fate was a fluke find out this Sunday night.

In the third match of the night, Shane Nelson challenges Larry Wood for the CGC Canadian Championship Shane was never able to win the title from Nate, will he be able to defeat Larry and win the title? Or will Larry win this match and prove to Shane that he can’t beat the Canadian Champion whoever it is?

In the fourth match of the night and the co-main event of the evening, current number one contender for the CGC World Heavyweight Championship Steve Frehley takes on former six time CGC World Heavyweight Champion Jack DeColt. Will Steve be able to win this match and get a huge wave of momentum going into his match with Joey Poison for the title at In The Company Of Legends? Or will Jack win this match and derail Steve’s current momentum as he goes into one of the biggest matches of his career?

Finally in the fifth match of the night and the main event of the evening, Joey Poison puts his CGC World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Eddie Chandler just twelve days before his match with Steve Frehley at In The Company Of Legends. Will Joey win the match and retain his title, as he will definitely be looking towards Steve after this match? Or will the leader of the Elite win the match and reclaim the CGC World Title not only for himself but also for his stable find out this Sunday night as CGC presents Title Bout Wrestling.

That’s all the time we have for this week’s edition of the show be sure to join us live in the Abbotsford Recreation Complex in British Columbia Canada. Or if you can’t make it out to the arena check us out on Maple Leaf Sports, as this looks to be a night of can’t miss action. Until then this has been Adrian Garcia saying so long and I will see you all Sunday alongside Terry Smith as we call all of the night’s action from ringside.

Prediction Key

BHK1978: 4 of 5 predictions correct.

OOC: As you can see I posted these results later than usual not on purpose but because I wanted to give a chance for anyone else to predict. Unfortnately BHK1978 was the only one who predicted this week but I am sure people are out of town for the weekend. Anyways I would like to thank BHK1978 for predicting. I would also like to get people's opinions on the format change, its not a big change but this week I marked the segments with Segment 1 etc because it looks better to me and makes it easier to seperate the segments from the matches. Let me know what you think of it, also the next edition of the interview between Terry Smith and Chris Kaladaro will be posted sometime on Tuesday so until then feel free to comment on this dynasty if you would like to do so.
