WWE: A New Beginning

It has been confirmed by WWE Management that Bret "Hitman" Hart will be the new co-general manager of RAW alongside fellow WWE Hall of Famer and former IWGP World Champion, Antonio Inoki. Hart's plan is to seal an exclusive partnership with Canada for RAW, since Japan has a partnership with RAW as well. If this falls through, expect RAW to have partnerships in both Canada and Japan. It should be also noted that, R-Truth was awarded the WWE United States Championship at a live RAW house show in Akron, Ohio, defeating The Miz.

WWE.com has confirmed that FCW Competitor and NXT Rookie, Wade Barrett has become the winner of the first NXT Challenge. Thanks to mentor and WWE Pro, Chris Jericho, Barrett will look forward to climbing the ladder of the WWE. "Everyone will enter the era of Wade Barrett" proclaimed Barrett as he stood proudly after being called the NXT Challenge winner. It has also been confirmed that there will be a new season for NXT next week with all new rookies and all new pros, save for The Miz who will be returning for a second season after controversy between him and former NXT Rookie and former ROH World Champion, Daniel Bryan.

In later news, it has been confirmed that newly-appointed co-General Manager of RAW, Bret Hart has been approved to allow an international exclusive partnership with his native Canada alongside Japan. This will also mean that Smackdown! will have to gain a partnership with another country, presumably Great Britain, along with the brand's original exclusive partnership country, Mexico. It has also been confirmed that at next year's WWE Draft, the partnership countries could be drafted to either brand.

Right off the bat, this match was nothing but revenge for both men. In Kofi's case, it was about avenging the humiliating loss Teddy Long endured at the hands of McIntyre. And in McIntyre's case, it was all about proving to the WWE Universe that he was "The Chosen One". It was back and forth action between the two men and it was just as intense as any other match. During the match, Matt Hardy distracted McIntyre from his match which allowed Kofi to use the Trouble In Paradise to gain the upper hand and the victory.

Savannah: I'm standing backstage with King of the Ring Finalist, Hiroshi Tanahashi. Tanahashi, Kofi Kingston has retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship and will later face you tonight for the right to be called "King of the Ring"

Tanahashi: Domo Arigatou, Savannah. It seems as though Kofi will be looking to go 2 for 2 tonight looking to become King of the Ring. He will do no such thing as become King of the Ring for I am the Ace of the Universe and that tops being a King above all else...however, I would like to have a queen amongst my presence, should I win King of the Ring.

This match was nothing more than athletic eye candy for all the guys watching. I liked the idea of Eve, Gail Kim, and Maryse not even minding Alicia as she was biding her time as Maryse was getting double teamed by Eve and Gail Kim. Gail Kim sweep kicks Eve but Maryse pulls Gail out of the ring. Alicia jumped off the top rope and splashed on Eve for the win.

This match perhaps was one the highlights of the night as it showcased what these international wrestlers can pull off in the ring. Mistico and Liger were in control throughout the night but the momentum shifted as Marufuji and Devitt began to show the crowd their skills and prowess. Marufuji used the Pole Shift on Mistico, Devitt used the Prince's Throne on Liger. Marufuji and Devitt battled each other out until Ted Dibiase came and blindsides Marufuji, allowing Devitt to used the Bloody Sunday on Marufuji to win the WWE Universe Championship.

This match was nothing more than a showcase of the big guys(Big Show, Swagger, and to some extent, Punk) while Rey Mysterio waited in the wings to strike down from above. It didn't take long for Big Show to start knocking people out with his knockout punch on Swagger and Punk. Mysterio jumped off the top rope and found a way to get Big Show out of the ring as he used an hurricanrana on Show. Mysterio later used the 619 on Swagger to get the pin and become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

This match between both Miz and R-Truth should build up towards a feud with these tqwo and it should be awesome, cause it can bring out the best in the both of them. All it took was The Miz using dirty underhanded tactics to retain the championship.

Another highlight of the night going to this very match as these two men battled it out to become the 2010 King of the Ring. Kofi Kingston, already worn out from a match, had to recuperate and maintain his form going up against an already fresh and confident Hiroshi Tanahashi. Back and forth, these two men went move for move while entertaining the crowd. Kingston went for the Trouble in Paradise on Tanahashi and looked to seal the win but Drew McIntyre looked to seek vengeance on Kofi by interfering in the match, distracting Kofi until he left. This opened the door for Tanahashi to use the Sling Blade, Kinkasan Suplex, and followed up by the High Fly Flow to get the win and to become the first ever Japanese born WWE King of the Ring Winner.

This was the match (aside from the World Heavyweight Championship and King of the Ring Finals) everyone was waiting for. It was a knock down, drag out fatal 4 way right down to the bitter end. This match was just as intense as the last two highlighted main event matches as Cena was kept strong throughout the match as well as Orton. Edge and Sheamus turned the momentum in their favor but the WWE Champ didn't back down for a moment that was until he was speared by Edge. Orton caught Edge with an RKO and gave Cena a punt in the head before getting bicycle kicked in the face by Sheamus. Surpisingly the opportunist, Sheamus hoisted Cena up for a Celtic Slam for the pin and to become WWE Champion.
