Sad to see Jim go, but it is great to see one of my favorites come in. That is huge getting Tom Gilmore.

Bruce the Giant and Art & Daniel Reed vs Jumbo Jackson, Mr Patterson and Jack Griffith

Not sure about this. I am not sure if Art and Daniel are popular enough to beat the other team. Jumbo and the Drunk should have good popularity in the U.S. but Mr. Patterson might not have high popularity. Hell I don't know I am just going to guess.

Samoan Machine vs T-Rex

Alicia Strong vs Raven Robinson

Belle Bryden © vs Cherry Bomb for the USPW Women’s Title

Mick Muscles © vs Steven Parker for the USPW Unified Title

Nicky Champion © vs Enygma for the USPW World Championship with Tom Gilmore as Special Referee

Enygma might win but I have already picked two titles to switch. Three in one night would be overkill.

USPW Freedom Fight!

Live from the South East on PPV

Pre-Show: Darryl Devine defeated Jared Johnson (C-), Andre Jones, Al Coleman and KC Glenn defeated Danny Rushmore, Harley Neill and Giant Redwood (C-)

The show opens with a video package, focussing on Enygma defeating Sam Strong and setting himself up for a World Title challenge against Nicky Champion, and surprise referee for the match Tom Gilmore (A)

Match #1: Bruce the Giant and Art & Daniel Reed vs Jumbo Jackson, Mr Patterson and Jack Griffith

This is the type of match that I need to do a little more in USPW – mixing the Main Eventers with the rest of the card, as there is a large gap between the two. Not only that, but we also got a really decent opener considering the two Brits are still not the best know. We did get to see Mr Patterson laying into Daniel Reed, but when he made the tag Bruce absolutely cleared house. In the end it came down to Daniel Reed and Jack Griffith, with the Brit forcing Griffith to tap out to a Rasta Lock.

Bruce the Giant, Art & Daniel Reed defeated Jumbo Jackson, Mr Patterson and Jack Griffith in 12.38 (C+)

Marc Speed was shown backstage talking to Tom Gilmore, asking him to be his tag team partner later tonight as The Force is out injured (and that’s the last we’ll hear of him for a while…). Gilmore said that he couldn’t accept the offer, as he had to stay focussed on the Main Event tonight. However, he grabbed Sean Deeley and suggested him as Speed’s partner, telling him that he’d be a perfect compliment to his technical skills (B-)

Match #2: Belle Bryden © vs Cherry Bomb for the USPW Women’s Title

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Womens.jpg

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BelleBryden.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/CherryBomb_alt2.jpg

Cherry Bomb’s recent face turn resulted in a hard fought title shot, where she took the champion to the limit. As a result Bryden had to resort to hair pulling and eye scratching, before delivering a Dish of the Day to retain her title.

Belle Bryden © defeated Cherry Bomb in 8.41 to retain the USPW Women’s Title ©

Alicia Strong hyped up her match with Raven Robinson, saying that she felt let down by her former friend, but now knew who she had to keep a careful eye on (B-)

Samoan Destruction Inc were shown backstage with Rhino Umaga hyping up Samoan Machine, before sending him on his way to the ring ©

Match #3: Samoan Machine vs T-Rex

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/SamoanMachine.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/T-Rex_alt1.jpg

This one was a brawl that went through the crown, with the referee lenient enough to concentrate on trying to get them back into the ring rather than counting them out. Chairs were scattered and barriers were broken in the most intense match seen in USPW for a while. When they finally got back in the ring both men looked exhausted (although in reality only one of them was) as they exchanged blows, before T-Rex went for The Extinction. Samoan Machine fought out and delivered the Samoan Driver, and made the pin for the huge upset victory!

Samoan Machine defeated T-Rex in 11.28 ©

Nicky Champion cut a backstage promo proudly showing off his World Title. He told Enygma that he was proud of his title and would do everything to keep it. He also thanked Sam Strong for the appointing a strong ref who would call the match down the line (B+)

Match #4: Savage Fury © vs Marc Speed and Sean Deeley vs The People’s Team vs Dark Truth for the USPW Tag Team Titles

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Tag.jpg

At last we find out what’s happening with the Tag Team Titles, as we get a four corner elimination match. First to go was Dark Truth, eliminated by The People’s Team, before they themselves were knocked out by Savage Fury. That left the champions working against two technically gifted opponents in a clash of styles that was interesting to some… and not so interesting too others. While Java and Marc Speed brawled outside the ring Tribal Warrior finally got his hands on Deeley to hit a Head Hunter Special to retain the titles.

Savage Fury © defeated Marc Speed and Sean Deeley, The People’s Team and Dark Truth in 12.46 to retain the USPW Tag Team Titles (D+)

Tribal Warrior picked up Deeley again but Marc Speed made the save, putting Tribal Warrior in an Arm Bar. Java was intercepted by Deeley who put on his own arm bar, and both champions tapped before the ref pulled away their attackers (C-)

Travis Century was shown backstage with Raven Robinson sounding angry about his defeat – and told her that he was going to accompany her to the ring ©

Match #5: Alicia Strong vs Raven Robinson

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AliciaStrong.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/RavenNightfall_alt1.jpg

I discovered pretty good chemistry between these two a long time ago on the House Show ciricuit, and finally managed to put it to some good use. A decent encounter that had both women fighting viscously with one another, and it ended up in a deeply unsatisfactory manner. As Century distracted the ref Pain came out, and got into an argument with Strong outside the ring. Strong slapped Pain, and to the shock of the crowd Pain slugged Alicia Strong in return! A worried looking Pain backed off as the ref counted out Alicia Strong.

Raven Robinson © defeated Alicia Strong in 12.10 by count out to retain the USPW Women’s Title (C+)

The trainers came out to attend to Alicia Strong and they were joined by her father, who raged as Travis Century (B-)

Steve Smith hyped the Unified Title match. Steven Parker. Steve Smith. Two different people. Ooops ©

Match #6: Mick Muscles © vs Steven Parker for the USPW Unified Title

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_National.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_TV.jpg

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MickMuscles.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/StevenParker.jpg

And isn’t that just typical. After deciding that Mick Muscles’ title reign was slightly disappointing and opting for a switch he goes out and pull out a brilliant match with Steven Parker. It swung both ways but it was a clean victory for Parker, delivering the Future Shock for his first USPW Title reign.

Steven Parker defeated Mick Muscles © in 14.40 to win the USPW Unified Title (B)

Women’s Champion Belle Bryden came out to celebrate with Parker, planting a large kiss on his lips. Which was returned (C+)

Enygma hyped up his World Title match, saying that it was long overdue. He has had hurdles put in front of him and has overcome them all – and will swat away the impudent youngster Nicky Champion (A)

Match #7: Nicky Champion © vs Enygma for the USPW World Championship

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_World.jpg

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/NickyChampion_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg

Tom Gilmore came out to referee this match, ignoring Enygma trying to tell him what to do. We then got the longest USPW match that… I’ve ever put on. Which showed a distinct lack of psychology, at some points. Being this long we had slow points, outside the ring action, nearfalls and more. This was meant to be my best match ever in USPW, but actually ended up being overshadowed by the previous match. After a number of nearfalls from Enygma he started to vent his frustration at Tom Gilmore, who looked as if he was getting more and more wound up. Then Enygma pulled Gilmore infront of his to block a charging Nicky Champion, which meant that we went into a spell where we had no ref. Enygma took the opportunity to go for the title belt and hit Nicky Champion over the head. Gilmore recovered just as Enygma was throwing away the title, and he refused to count immediately. That led to Enygma confronting Gilmore and shoving him away… which led to an Anger Management from the ref. A dazed Nicky Champion made the cover and Gilmore made the fast count.

Nicky Champion © defeated Enygma in 22.17 to retain the USPW World Championship (B-)

Enygma yelled after Gilmore as he presented the title to Nicky Champion, but he refused to acknowledge Enygma and left Champion to his celebration (B+)

Overall Rating C+

No-one saw the Samoan Machine upset, but jesseewiak called the rest of them - BHK1978 and MichiganHero both seeing a title change that wasn't to occur.

I’ll have to admit – that was a disappointment. 8th best ever came from the Unified Title match, while the expected Best Match Ever never came as expected from the Main Event. There’s time yet.

Probably two big surprises – Samoan Machine defeating former champion T-Rex, and Pain punching Alicia Strong. Rex has been given some time off to get over his defeat, while the Pain storyline will develop…

Eric Eisen joins TCW, which is a shame as I was hoping he would be available if I hit National (nowhere near at the moment) as there were numerous storylines I could have run from that.

Announced for USPW American Wrestling:

The People’s Team vs Jumbo Jackson and Jack Griffith

Amber Allen vs Gorgon

Art & Daniel Reed vs Jared Johnson and Danny Rushmore

Marc Speed and Sean Deeley vs Dark Truth

Nicky Champion, Mick Muscles and Samoan Machine vs Steven Parker and Savage Fury

Tom Gilmore vs Enygma

So, I couldn’t resist the money match. Well, giving away the money match for free, anyway.

Jumbo and The Drunk (sounds like a good team name...) should get the win.

Marc and SSD are pretty much my dream team so I have to go with them no matter what.

Tom Gilmore vs Enygma

He needs to win his first match. And if not well he at least needs to end it in a draw.

USPW American Wrestling:

Live from the South East

Pre-Show: Mr Patterson squashed Bob Casey; Darryl Devine, Andre Jones and Rhino Umaga defeated John Pathlow, Harley Neill and a newly heel Johnny Stones (C-)

Enygma started the show by demanding that Tom Gilmore came out to the ring, and he duly obliged. Enygma tore into him, calling him a Canadian nobody who was just another Sam Strong whipping boy trying to prevent him from achieving his true calling – once more becoming USPW World Champion. Gilmore told Enygma to calm down – he didn’t want to make Gilmore angry, as he knows what happens when he’s angry. The crowd cheered before Gilmore accepted that as a ref he overstepped the mark at Freedom Fight – but only because of the unacceptable behaviour that Enygma had shown to him, the ref. Gilmore told Enygma that for too long he picked on those that couldn’t fight back – but now he found someone who could. Enygma asked if that meant that he was ready to fight, and Gilmore confirmed he was. We have our Main Event (B)

Match #1: The People’s Team vs Jumbo Jackson and Jack Griffith

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/FreddieDatsun.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DesDavids.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JumboJackson.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JackGriffith.jpg

Huh – this segment was penalised for length for some reason. Hmmm… Anyway, the People’s Team worked together well but Jumbo Jackson was the star in the ring, putting away Datsun with a Jumbo Avalanche.

Jumbo Jackson and Jack Griffith defeated The People’s Team in 7.39 ©

Sam Strong came down to the ring and demanded that Pain came out, after attacking his daughter at Freedom Fight. Instead we had Travis Century come out with Dark Disciple and Raven Robinson, to ask Sam what his problem was. Strong declared that Pain’s actions were unacceptable, and Century should be ashamed of his colleague. Century shrugged, and asked why when Alicia Strong slaps a man is it fine, yet when he strikes back it’s unacceptable? He claimed that Sam Strong was simple a sexist old man, and his complaints were simply equality. Sam told Century that good behaviour is not sexist, and demanded that he stopped protecting Pain. Century said that he wasn’t here tonight leading to Strong telling him that he had better turn up next week as he had a match for him – and if he didn’t turn up he would be fired (B)

Match #2: Amber Allen vs Gorgon

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AmberAllen-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Gorgon.jpg

A half decent encounter allowed some in the crowd a toilet break, and they missed Allen picking up the victory with a hard fought Northern Lights Suplex.

Amber Allen defeated Gorgon in 3.31 (D+)

Steven Parker was shown backstage arm in arm with Belle Bryden, telling Savage that they needed to prove themselves tonight. They, as Tag Team Champions would join him, the newly crowned Unified Title holder, to take down World Champion Nicky Champion along with Bruce the Giant and Samoan Machine (B-)

Match #3: Art & Daniel Reed vs Jared Johnson and Danny Rushmore

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ArtReed.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DanielFrancis.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JaredJohnson.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DannyRushmore.jpg

An extremely short tag match resulted in Daniel Reed making Jared Johnson tap with the Rasta Lock.

Art & Daniel Reed defeated Jared Johnson and Danny Rushmore in 4.46 (D+)

After the match Mr Patterson was out to club Daniel Reed down from behind, before Bruce the Giant was out to make the save… only to get into a brawl with Jumbo Jackson (C+)

Sam Strong caught Sean Deeley and Marc Speed on the way to the ring and asked them to fight for his daughter tonight – something Speed promised to do (B-)

Match #4: Marc Speed and Sean Deeley vs Dark Truth

An odd mix of styles here, but a half decent match which ended up with Travis Century bailing from the ring to allow Dark Disciple to suffer a Cross Arm Breaker from Speed.

Marc Speed and Sean Deeley defeated Dark Truth in 8.16 ©

World Champion Nicky Champion cut a joint promo with Mick Muscles and Samoan Machine hyping their match… but doing most of the talking himself. He claimed that three nations – Samoa, Canada and the US – combined here tonight, showcasing the best of their talent which would not be stopped (C+)

Match #5: Nicky Champion, Mick Muscles and Samoan Machine vs Steven Parker and Savage Fury

A training match, it seems. Well, it wasn’t supposed to be but Mick Muscles, Java and Tribal Warrior all got a little bit better. We had our Mick Muscles vs Steven Parker moments, Samoan Machine vs “Samoans” moments, and… Nicky Champion dominating moments. Including the end where he hit a Hawkeye Hammer on Java.

Nicky Champion, Mick Muscles and Samoan Machine defeated Steven Parker and Savage Fury in 10.01 (C+)

Tom Gilmore and Enygma came out for the Main Event, as we showed stills of Gilmore hitting Enygma with an Anger Management at the PPV (B+)

Match #6: Tom Gilmore vs Enygma

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AngryGilmore.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg

Unsurprisingly a great little match – easily Main Event PPV quality, but with no other challengers to Nicky Champion lined up we had to give Enygma the victory to put him back in the title hunt. It didn’t stop Gilmore coming close and teasing hitting the Anger Management, and it didn’t stop Enygma cheating. First Steven Parker and Savage Fury surrounded the ring, allowed Enygma to hit the Gilmore with a low blow… and then as the ref tried to find out from Enygma why Gilmore was on the ground he received a Savage Head Butt. Enygma hit the Enygma Cutter and made the pin with his feet on the ropes – the ref seeing the pin if not how it was made or what came before it.

Enygma defeated Tom Gilmore in 12.29 (B)

Enygma took a mic afterwards and told Nicky Champion that he was after him and his title, and there was nothing that anyone could put in his way to stop him (B)

Overall Rating B-

3/6 was the top mark - showing that there were some unexpected results, possibly hinting towards future matches and feuds...

The match was 8th best ever – however, the show was best ever. Although the Main Event was of far the most interesting – I’m not sure how the crowd are going to go for Sam Strong going after the underutilised Pain. Johnny Stones did turn heel in a the dark after attacking Rhino Umaga, as I’m lacking lower level heels who I trust in the ring (yes, I still have Giant Redwood on the books).

Cherry Bomb signs a new deal. She’s not worth the money she asked for but is decent, and I didn’t want to lose her.

Pre-Show: John Pathlow defeated KC Glenn ©; Art Reed and The People’s Team defeated Jared Johnson, Bruiser and Johnny Stones (D+)

The show opened with Nicky Champion coming out to note how Enygma picked up another victory last week – by once again mishandling the referee. Enygma came out to remind Champion that he was only World Champion due to a referee's action, and he shouldn’t really be talking about unfair victories. Champion told Enygma that it was neither here nor there – they had been signed to a rematch at Declaration of Independence and asked Enygma if he was planning of cheating then, too. Enygma promised Champion that he would do what he would to come out with the World Title, promising that he wouldn’t be DQ’d, but pointing out that if he wasn’t caught, it did not count (B+)

Daniel Reed’s biggest (only?) singles victory to date, making Rushmore tap to the Rasta Lock.

Daniel Reed defeated Danny Rushmore in 5.30 (D+)

Daniel Reed then took a mic to challenge his nemesis Mr Patterson to a match at Declaration of Independence, and it was Shane Sneer who came out to respond. Sneer claimed that Reed was barely worth worrying about, but did accept the match on his clients behalf. He added that Pattrerson would run Reed out of another country, and he’d soon have nowhere left to go ©

Raven Robinson cut a promo before her next match, which we found out was to name the Women’s Number One Contender. Robinson promised it would be her and introduced her insurance policy – Pain ©

Belle Bryden joined commentary and fortunately meshed well with the commentary team, as this match stunk. Robinson was the focus of the match but was stunned when Alicia Strong jumped out of the crowd to pull her from the ring. This allowed Amber Allen to pull off an upset victory by hitting a Northern Lights Suplex on Joanne Rodriguez.

Amber Allen defeated Raven Robinson and Joanne Rodriguez in 7.56 (D)

If you thought the last match stunk, then it was nothing compared to this one. Ekuma held the advantage over Pain until Dark Disciple smashed a chair against Ekuma’s head… all unseen by the ref. A Pain Topper later...

Sam Strong came out to tell Pain that he wasn’t finished with him, and now feels that Travis Century and his Dark Disciple are equally responsible, and should be treated as such (B+)

Marc Speed and Sean Deeley were shown backstage entering Savage Fury’s locker-room and… I’m giving them mic time!?! They challenged the Tag Champions to a match at Declaration of Independence, and the champions accepted saying they would squash their impudent opponents to dust (C-)

Match #4: Bruce the Giant vs Jack Griffith

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BrucetheGiant.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JackGriffith.jpg

With the amount I’ve killed the crowd even a Bruce the Giant match doesn’t excite them too much. Here, he beat around Jack Griffith until he was attacked by Jumbo Jackson, ending the match in DQ.

Bruce the Giant defeated Jack Griffith in 4.29 by DQ ©

A furious Bruce threw Jackson away before charging at him, leaving Jackson to make the sensible decision to slide out of the ring and run away. He did turn back to see Bruce taking out his frustration on Griffith, delivering a Giant Choke Slam (B)

Mick Muscles found Sam Strong backstage, asking for a National Title rematch with Steven Parker at Declaration of Independence, a match Sam was happy to make. He then turned around to the monitors saying that he was going to enjoyed watching Dark Truth suffer (B+)

Match #5: Tom Gilmore and Nicky Champion vs Dark Truth

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AngryGilmore.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/NickyChampion_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/TravisCentury.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/SayedAli_eay.jpg

There was only ever going to be one side winning this match, slowly making mincemeat of Dark Truth. Neither Pain or Robinson were out with Century, leaving them exposed to a defeat that came when Tom Gilmore hit an Anger Management on Dark Disciple.

Tom Gilmore and Nicky Champion defeated Dark Truth in 10.56 (C+)

Enygma and Steven Parker came out for the Main Event, cutting a promo to declare Samoan Destruction Inc as the inferior Samoan’s when compared to Savage Fury, which did quite a good job of motivating their opponents (B)

Match #6: Samoan Destruction Inc vs Enygma and Steven Parker

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/SamoanMachine.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/RhinoUmaga.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/StevenParker.jpg

And… this is going to be one of my worst shows for a while. I gambled that the talent on show would pay off, but Rhino Umaga hasn’t seen too much angle, while I tried to make Samoan Machine look strong in defeat. It also didn’t help that once more Enygma was up to his tricks, whipping Rhino Umaga into an exposed turnbuckle before making a pin with his feet on the ropes, which the crowd weren’t too happy with.

Enygma and Steven Parker defeated Samoan Destruction Inc in 12.33 ©

After the match Nicky Champion came out with a mic, telling Enygma that everyone saw what he just did, but it’s true – he managed to get away with it. However, he had a plan to stop that mattering at Declaration of Independence. It’s hard to cheat when there’s no rules, hard to interfere when you can’t get to the competitors. He announced that the title match would be happening in a Steel Cage with no referee inside the cage – the ref’s would be on the outside, only ruling on who escaped first, and who would come out World Champion (B+)

Overall Rating C+

Thankfully plenty of strong segments, even if the matches weren’t up to too much. The reason why I was making so many matches is that there are only three shows between PPV’s this month, so the booking has been a little rushed. Which is why most matches are continuations of feuds.

Ekuma kept the backstage happy, but he’s one of the people that I really have to consider if they’re really worth keeping around. Then Marc Speed claimed on radio that he was being held down by politics in USPW. There I was thinking he was getting a push…

Champagne Lover, someone who I’ve stayed away from signing as I don’t have a plan from him and I don’t want him to become another Hell Monkey, announces he is to leave SOTBPW, which will leave him without a job.

Alicia Strong signs a long term contract – unsurprisingly there were no hitches in that negotiation.

Announced for USPW American Wrestling:

Marc Speed and Sean Deeley vs Jumbo Jackson and Mr Patterson

Steven Parker © vs Andre Jones in a non-title match

Marc Speed and Sean Deeley vs Jumbo Jackson and Mr Patterson

Steven Parker © vs Andre Jones in a non-title match

This being a non title match I could see Andre winning and by doing so earning a title shot against Steven Parker in the future.

Tom Gilmore and Samoan Destruction Inc vs Dark Truth and Pain

Alicia Strong and Amber Allen vs Belle Bryden and Raven Robinson

I like Alicia Strong not really familiar with Amber Allen but Belle Bryden and Raven Robinson to me is a super team (If there is such a thing for Divas) so that is why they will win this match.

Nicky Champion vs Java

Nicky Shouldn't lose to a tag team wrestler

Mick Muscles vs Enygma

See above explanation.

Oddly enough I had Ekuma in my MAW game and he was sucking up the joint (I even shot a PM over to Cappyboy who does the training feds to see if he ever got anything out of him.). Anyway, there was a slight improvement in his stats after I want to say maybe five months and the SWF stole him from me. I could not believe that the SWF would want him.:D

Marc Speed and Sean Deeley vs Jumbo Jackson and Mr Patterson

Tough call, I think Jumbo has the highest ranked pop out of these four and I think it will be enough for him and Mr. Patterson to pick up the win.

Steven Parker © vs Andre Jones in a non-title match

Tom Gilmore and Samoan Destruction Inc vs Dark Truth and Pain

Angry Gilmore is one of my personal favorites in the game so I have a hard time picking against him.

Alicia Strong and Amber Allen vs Belle Bryden and Raven Robinson

Normally I would go with Alicia. However, Belle and Raven are just one hell of a team.

Nicky Champion vs Java

Come on did you expect otherwise from me?

USPW American Wrestling:

Live from the Mid South

Pre-Show: KC Glenn defeated Danny Rushmore (D+); Art Reed defeated Jared Johnson (C-)

Nicky Champion came out to explain his title defence next week at Declaration of Independence. He said that there would be no referee inside the cage – anything goes. There will be two referees outside, there only to judge which man was the first to escape the cage, and that man would be World Champion. Nicky Champion declared that this eliminated Enygma’s advantage of being able to get away with cheating – and he added that he would enjoy being able to do what he wanted to the challenger (B+)

Match #1: Marc Speed and Sean Deeley vs Jumbo Jackson and Mr Patterson

This is what you get for conducting a radio interview which I don’t like – being pinned by Mr Patterson. Admittedly it was after Savage Fury attacked Speed’s tag partner, but still – that was punishment.

Jumbo Jackson and Mr Patterson defeated Marc Speed and Sean Deeley in 9.15 (D+)

Bruce the Giant came out to make the save, making people scatter… although Jumbo Jackson backed off slowly (B-)

Daniel Reed cut a quick promo hyping his match with Mr Patterson, telling everyone that he had waiting for the opportunity to fight one on one with Patterson for over a year, and would not waste the opportunity (C-)

Andre Jones caught Darryl Devine before his match, asking for forgiveness for his involvement in Seduction getting injured last year. Devine shook his head, saying that he still wasn’t ready for that (D+)

Match #2: Steven Parker © vs Andre Jones in a non-title match

A decent little match (considering Jones’ match with Muscles sucked) ended with a Future Shock from Steven Parker. Andre Jones is not justifying his salary.

Steven Parker defeated Andre Jones in 7.01 ©

Parker lifted Jones off his feet for another Future Shock when Darryl Devine rushed out for the save, with Seduction by his side. After Parker bailed, encouraged by Seduction Devine shook hands with his former partner (D+)

Jumbo Jackson cut an interview aimed at Bruce the Giant, telling him that there was only room for one giant in USPW, and that was him. Inventive, huh? (B+)

Match #3: Tom Gilmore and Samoan Destruction Inc vs Dark Truth and Pain

Spot the winning side here? Good. The heels were outclassed, we led to Travis Century and Pain bailing on Dark Disciple, who ended up taking an Ander Management and then tapping to an Unbreakable Sleeper.

Tom Gilmore and Samoan Destruction Inc defeated Dark Truth and Pain in 8.54 ©

Sam Strong came out to announce that they didn’t get away that easily – at Declaration of Independence Pain would face Samoan Machine while Angry Gilmore would take on Travis Century (B)

Raven Robinson cut a promo against Alicia Strong, accusing her of costing her a World Title shot and then calling in her daddy against her colleagues, proving she was just a spoilt little brat (C-)

Match #4: Alicia Strong and Amber Allen vs Belle Bryden and Raven Robinson

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AliciaStrong.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AmberAllen-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BelleBryden.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/RavenNightfall_alt1.jpg

An even match until Pain’s music hit, causing Alicia Strong to panic. No-one came out, but the distraction was enough for Robinson to hit a Night Faller, before leaving the ring laughing.

Belle Bryden and Raven Robinson defeated Alicia Strong and Amber Allen in 6.31 (C-)

Bryden looked condescendingly at the bickering Strong and Robinson… leaving her unprepared for a Northern Lights Suplex from Amber Allen (D)

Match #5: Nicky Champion vs Java

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/NickyChampion_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Java.jpg

There was a lack of selling, but the crowd really got into this match. Unfortunately for some readers they’re not getting bored of Savage Fury yet. Tribal Warrior was at ringside but Marc Speed and Sean Deeley forcibly ejected him, allowing Nicky Champion to pick up the victory with a Hawkeye Hammer.

Nicky Champion defeated Java in 7.09 (B-)

Mick Muscles was out first for the Main Event, and started to cut a promo about Enygma and Parker’s cheating ways when he was cut off by the masked man. Enygma told Muscles that no-one was interested in what he had to say – he made a poor World Champion years ago, a poor Tag Champion and a poor Unified Champion recently. Muscles asked Enygma how many titles that was, but Enygma said it didn’t matter – all those titles and he was still a loser, a Canadian Loser (B+)

Match #6: Mick Muscles vs Enygma

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MickMuscles.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg

Enygma’s words seem to have done a good job at focussing the Canadian, and he came out like a house on fire, putting Enygma on the defensive. Only when he slowed the match down did Enygma get back into the match, but it was still pretty even. Without cheating Enygma could have been in trouble… but when was the last time Enygma didn’t cheat? Help came in the shape of Steven Parker, distracting the ref to allow Enygma to use his Unified title against Muscles’ head. And then came the pin.

Enygma defeated Mick Muscles in 10.53 (B-)

After the match super Champion came out to clear house. Hurrah! (B+)

Overall Rating C+

It's a clean sweep or BHK1978! Well, tomorrow there will be a PPV card to predict up - can it be repeated? One warning to come... I did end up misbooking a match...

Well, that show had a much better dual Main Event… although an early few segments hyping up the PPV dragged down the overall rating.

We do have a departure before the PPV – and that’s USPW legend and former four time Tag Team Champion Danny Rushmore. At a loose end since Mick Muscles turned face he briefly teamed with T-Rex before forming a semi-regular team with Jared Johnson, but when his contract was up it wasn’t renewed. The man is a true gentleman, never complaining at putting over younger talent towards the end of his contract, and he would be welcome back in the future.

Announced for USPW Declaration of Independence!

Daniel Reed vs Mr Patterson

When Daniel Reed debuted in USPW he was full of smiles, but they swiftly went away when Mr Patterson showed up. The two have thought long battles in the UK, with Mr Patterson claiming that he ran Reed out of the UK, and he would be doing in the US

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AngryGilmore.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/TravisCentury.jpg

Tom Gilmore vs Travis Century

When Pain assaulted Alicia Strong everyone wondered what Pain’s leader, Travis Century, would have to say about it. When he didn’t have one bad comment on the incident the whole Dark Family have been high on Sam Strong’s hit list, and Tom Gilmore in his first USPW PPV match has been given the task of taking Century down a step.

Belle Bryden © vs Amber Allen for the USPW Women’s Title

Belle Bryden is undefeated this year (we’re now in May), and will be looking to keep her run going against Amber Allen. However, she hasn’t faced Allen in this time, who is also undefeated in singles action this year.

Samoan Machine vs Pain

When Sam Strong wanted someone to puish Pain for the assault on his daughter, he didn’t have to look any further than Samoan Machine. He packs the most punch for his size out of anyone on the roster, and coming off a victory over T-Rex last month is eager to continue that momentum… while dishing out pain.

Alicia Strong vs Raven Robinson

Alicia Strong was as shocked as everyone else when Raven Robinson turned her back on their friendship and joined the Dark Family. Since then Robinson has used every opportunity to attack Alicia Strong, a rivalry that also saw Strong cost her a Women’s Title match. The two finally meet in the ring, and it’s sure to be a memorable encounter.

Savage Fury © vs Marc Speed and Sean Deeley for the USPW Tag Team Titles

This rivalry goes back to last month where although Savage Fury retained their tag titles, the Samoan’s ended the night tapping to dual submissions moves. Since that moment the two teams have clashed whenever they’ve come near another, and now Marc Speed and Sean Deeley get another shot at the Tag Team Titles.

Bruce the Giant vs Jumbo Jackson

Two giants of USPW come face to face, after Bruce the Giant stood up to the Sneer Corporation’s bullying of the Reed cousins. Jumbo Jackson has insisted that it wasn’t Bruce’s fight – but it is now, he looks eager to put himself over as top dog in USPW.

Steven Parker © vs Mick Muscles for the USPW Unified Title

These two have fought each other since the titles were unified back in January, with Steven Parker finally taking the title from Mick Muscles in an epic match at Freedom Fight. Now Mick Muscles gets his rematch, and we are promised another battle to remember.

Nicky Champion © vs Enygma for the USPW World Championship

Enygma thought that he finally had the opportunity he said he deserved last month when he earned a World Championship Title shot, but came up against the referee… and came off worse. However, in this match the referee’s job will be much more simple, as the two competitors will be locked in a cage and the first one to escape the cage will take home the World Championship with them. Both competitors claim the match favours them, but there will only be one winner, and a match that you don’t want to miss out one.

Quick Picks:

Daniel Reed vs Mr Patterson

Tom Gilmore vs Travis Century

Belle Bryden © vs Amber Allen for the USPW Women’s Title

Samoan Machine vs Pain

Alicia Strong vs Raven Robinson

Savage Fury © vs Marc Speed and Sean Deeley for the USPW Tag Team Titles

A superb little opener here, with it looking for every minute that we might get a tag title change. The ref lost control and we had all men in the ring, which eventually led to Deeley and Speed both applying armbars. As the red waited for the tap Java managed to pull himself to the rope and recovered to hit a Greetings From the Island, getting the pin seconds before Tribal Warrior tapped.

Holy misbooking alert. We’ll skip to the end where Pain hit a Pain Topper of Samoan Machine. Bearing in mind that Samoan Machine defeated T-Rex last month, this was not the outcome I had planned in this match.

Pain defeated Samoan Machine in 6.52 (C+)

Nicky Champion hyped the Main Event cage match reminding everyone that it could only be won by escaping – which meant he had to do the maximum amount of damage to Enygma before going for the victory. Which suited him fine (B+)

Belle Bryden cut a promo with Steven Parker at her side saying that the two made a good golden couple with their twin titles – and there was no way that she was going to let a hussy like Amber Allen get in her way (B-)

Decent little match, but Bryden proved the class act and pulled off the victory with a Dish of the Day.

Enygma cut a counter promo for the Main Event, saying that he was in a position to slowly pick Nicky Champion apart – and he wouldn’t have to hide anything that he was doing as it would all be legal (B+)

Art Reed wished Daniel Reed good luck, for the youngster asking Art to stay out back as he wanted to face his nemesis on his own (C-)

Match #4: Daniel Reed vs Mr Patterson

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DanielFrancis.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DannyPatterson-1.jpg

Not much heat in this match… as we weren’t running it in the UK. Nonetheless the crowd’s interest in the brawl was peaked, as Patterson tried to batter Reed, who proved no slouch in defending himself. However, as desire to go at it alone proved his undoing as Jack Griffith interfered to drop Reed’s neck on the top ropes, allowing Patterson to hit a Choke Slam for the victory.

Mr Patterson defeated Daniel Reed in 6.39 ©

Tom Gilmore cut a promo before his match… which we had to change to say that although Pain has won he knew that the best way to stop a Cult was to cut its head off (B-)

Sam Strong came out to the crowd and said that he would have a big announcement for the next PPV on Wednesday live on USPW American Wrestling (B+)

Match #5: Tom Gilmore vs Travis Century

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AngryGilmore.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/TravisCentury.jpg

I would imagine this is Travis Century’s best match in USPW, and probably could have justified being the semi-Main Event. A good contest, but when Dark Disciple tried to make an assist Gilmore was ready for him, before moving onto Travis Century with an Anger Management.

Tom Gilmore defeated Travis Century in 11.23 (B-)

Steven Parker cut a quick backstage promo against Mick Muscles telling him that he would never have a woman like Belle Bryden, and he’d never be a Canadian legend like he planned to be – although Parker was already there (B-)

Match #6: Steven Parker © vs Mick Muscles for the USPW Unified Title

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_National.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_TV.jpg

Another match that could have been the semi-Main Event, moved back from the position it held at the last PPV as we knew that the heat had reduced. Although Muscles fought well it was a clean win for Parker, delivering a Future Shock to retain the title.

Steven Parker © defeated Mick Muscles in 12.32 to retain the USPW Unified Title (B-)

Alicia Strong cut a mini-hype for her match with Raven Robinson when Sam Strong came up to her to let her know that he’s be ringside to counter anyone that Robinson brought with her (B+)

Travis Century was shown with Robinson telling her that this was it, and destiny awaited ©

Match #7: Alicia Strong vs Raven Robinson

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AliciaStrong.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/RavenNightfall_alt1.jpg

Once again these two pulled off a great little match, and I’m a little concerned that I’m going to run three decent matches and then a mediocre one in the semi-Main Event position. In the ring these two scrapped, and although there was attempted assistance from the outside Sam Strong made sure that it was to come to no effect. This allowed Alicia Strong to counter the Night Faller and hit the Strong Arm Tactic, picking up the victory.

Alicia Strong defeated Raven Robinson in 10.36 (B-)

Jumbo Jackson cut a promo telling Bruce the Giant that he was out to make the USPW ring his yard, and he’d decide who was allowed in it. He said that after tonight, Bruce would not be welcome (B+)

Match #8: Bruce the Giant vs Jumbo Jackson

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BrucetheGiant.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JumboJackson.jpg

These two didn’t let me down, and although this match hasn’t been built up too well the crowd were in to it. It also allowed Jumbo Jackson to come across as a legitimate threat, but Bruce the Giant kicked out of a Jumbo Avalanche. Jackson couldn’t manage a second attempt, and in the end the victory went to Bruce after finishing Jackson off with a Giant Choke Slam.

Bruce the Giant defeated Jumbo Jackson in 9.42 (B-)

As the cage was fixed into position we had a recap of Enygma and Nicky Champion’s feud, and a tale of the tape which showed the Enygma was by far the more experienced at this type of match (B)

Match #9: Nicky Champion © vs Enygma for the USPW World Championship in a steel cage match

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_World.jpg

Decent match – but again, I wanted more – and in fact got more last year when these two wrestled. Again there was a problem with Psychology, but I wasn’t cutting the match any shorter than a quarter of an hour, with plenty going on in the ring. Champion did deliver the Hawk Eye Hammer which he thought was enough, but Enygma just managed to grab Champion’s boot as he was going over the cage. Then standing on the top rope he delivered a powerbomb sending Champion though the ring. After that Enygma just had to pull himself over the cage as Champion lay motionless before dropping to the floor.

Enygma defeated Nicky Champion © in 14.30 to win the USPW World Championship (B-)

Enygma celebrated as he was given the title as EMT’s rushed out to lift Nicky Champion onto a stretcher (B+)

Overall Rating B-

Buy Rate 0.75

BHK1978 almost got an impressive 8/9 (only missing the World Title change)... but due to a misbooking he still gets a decent 7/9.

And that was my best PPV ever, only behind the last TV show in quality. Still, I wanted more from the Main Event, and Pain beating Samoan Machine wasn’t particularly helpful for future plans. Slightly unsatisfactory for me, but good for the fans – which isn’t a too bad position to be in.

Although I’ll admit that I’ve accidentally stumbled upon the position where Enygma and his colleagues hold all the USPW Titles. And I don’t really have a plan to go with that position. Careless.

USPW American Wrestling:

Live from the South East

Pre-Show: Sean Deeley and KC Glenn defeated Jared Johnson and Johnny Stones (C+); Tribal Warrior defeated Ekuma (D); Bruce the Giant squashed Bruiser (a non-clicking D+)

Sam Strong came out for his big announcement, which was that the next USPW Pay Per View would be known as USPW International Challenge, pitting teams from across the world against one another. The new World Champion Enygma came out to tell everyone that Sam Strong hadn’t quite told the whole story, and asked Sam to reveal who was the poster-boy for this event. When Sam refused to answer Enygma asked for a promotional poster being put up on the big screen – a poster showing Nicky Champion with the World Title belt over his shoulder. Enygma mocked Sam Strong, accusing him of setting up an event purely so Nicky Champion could lead Team America into battle – something that was now impossible thanks to him. Sam Strong said that although Nicky Champion wasn’t here tonight he could still be ready, but Enymga cut him off, telling Sam Strong that he was World Champion and he would lead Team America to victory.

That brought Tom Gilmore out, who congratulated Enygma on his World Title victory. However, he pointed out that didn’t give him any rights to anything, let alone declare who would be walking out of the International Challenge victorious. He had a warning for Enygma – and that was he was in the Main Event with three Canadian, all of whom were at the top of their games (A)

Match #1: Marc Speed vs John Pathlow

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MarcSpeed.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/HellMonkey_alt2-1.jpg

When planning this event I was surprised to see that I had never pitted these two together, so quickly jumped at the opportunity. We got a decent little match, with Speed making Pathlow tap to the Cross Arm Breaker.

Marc Speed defeated John Pathlow in 6.49 (C+)

Daniel Reed was shown backstage asking Sam Strong what the teams were for the International Challenge, with Sam saying it was open to all, as long as they could get a team of four ready. That brought in Mick Muscles and Art Reed making a case to be on Team Canada, to which Sam said he was just running the competition and taking entries – they needed to sort out their own teams (B-)

Match 2: Daniel Reed vs Jack Griffith

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DanielFrancis.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JackGriffith.jpg

After Jack Griffith cost Daniel Reed a PPV victory the youngster tried to get revenge here, which was going well until Mr Patterson entered the ring to attack him.

Daniel Reed defeated Jack Griffith by DQ in 5.25 (C-)

Patterson went for a Tower of London Slam, but Reed forced his way out, pushing Patterson into Griffith before bailing from the ring ©

We cut to the locker-room where Andre Jones and Darryl Devine were sitting opposite one another, with Seduction in between. She said that she had a match for them next week – they could either put everything behind them and team up, or waste everything they had done. Darryl Devine muttered under his breath that it wasn’t him throwing anything away, but Andre Jones said it would be – he was sorry for what he had done, and was willing to give it a go. Seduction stared at Devine, and he shook his head and said he’d give it a go (D+)

Match #3: Rhino Umaga vs Pain

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/RhinoUmaga.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Pain_eay.jpg

It’s all going wrong with this little storyline… Pain tries to keep up momentum after a victory he wasn’t meant to get by defeating someone who he didn’t really click with in unimpressive style. Uh huh.

Pain defeated Rhino Umaga in 5.17 (D)

Travis Century took the mic after the match and said that nothing would stop Pain’s path of Pain, which brought out Samoan Machine to say that he felt no Pain, only the need for revenge. In the end they agreed for a tag match next week ©

We cut backstage where Steven Parker to chatting to Belle Bryden when Cherry Bomb stepped in, asking Parker if he was going to support Team Canada by walking away from his un-Canadian partner. Belle Bryden faced up to Cherry, telling her that Parker had found the good things about American ladies, and he asn’t about to forsake those. That brought in Alicia Strong to declare that rather than find out the good things about American ladies, Parker had actually found the most manipulative, backstabbing person around. At that Parker threw his hands up and exited, with Bryden chasing him telling him to come back (C+)

Match #4: The People’s Team vs Jumbo Jackson and Mr Patterson

The established face team were quickly overpowered by their larger opponents, with Mr Patterson hitting a monster Choke Slam on Datsun for the victory.

Jumbo Jackson and Mr Patterson defeated The People’s Team in 7.36 (C-)

We cut backstage to Danny Reed challenging Mr Patterson to a match next week, when Bruce the Giant came up to him, and had a proposal – a Rest of the World team. Reed pondered the thought, with Bruce walking off telling him to think it over (C+)

Match #5: Tom Gilmore vs Dark Disciple

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AngryGilmore.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/SayedAli_eay.jpg

Oh my holy goat. Which is not a saying, but all I could come up with as this superb match unfurled in-front of my eyes. It was not expected to be much more than a showcase of Gilmore’s talent, but Sayeed Ali managed to enter the intense zone that he worked in while at 4C and between the two they pulled off a phenomenal match. Gilmore still won, with an Anger Management.

Tom Gilmore defeated Dark Disciple in 7.52 (B)

Enygma was shown backstage with Steven Parker, Belle Bryden and Savage Fury. Enygma was motivating the troops, telling them that Sam Strong was once more trying to send a split down the middle of them – buy they were stronger than that. They held all the titles in USPW, and would not be beaten (B+)

Match #6: Mick Muscles and Art Reed vs Enygma and Steven Parker

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MickMuscles.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ArtReed.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/StevenParker.jpg

The two Main Events have definitely put this show back on the right track – in fact, this may be the best set of Main Events I’ve ever given away on TV. The commentary team built up the fact that Enygma was in the ring with three Canadians, and could be facing these men at USPW International Challenge. It may have had some effect though, with Muscles and Reed always willing to let fellow Candian Parker tag out and concentrate on Enygma. This did lead to Enygma refusing a tag from Parker at one point, and the World Champion eventually had to make the save when Reed put Parker in the Dread Lock. It was Reed who eventually took the pin after an Enygma Cutter, with Parker keeping Muscles occupied.

Enygma and Steven Parker defeated Mick Muscles and Art Reed in 12.02 (B)

After the match Enygma encouraged Steven Parker to join him in a beatdown, which led to Tom Gilmore coming out to try and break things up, concentrating on telling Parker that he didn’t want to do this. Parker was unsure what to do, with Engyma shouting at him to attack, and eventually he headed backstage with his title (B+)

Overall Rating B-

MichiganHero pulls out his first victory with 5/6 by having faith in Pain continuing his momentum - but no-one saw Daniel Reed picking up a victory (albeit by DQ) over Jack Griffith

Unfortunately the middle of the show was a bit of a let down, but hopefully the fans will remember that awesome end of the show – the question really is was this a one off for Dark Disciple or was he heading for a new level? That was actually my eighth best show ever, with the Main Event proving to be the third best ever (Enygma now featuring in the top nine matches – Mick Muscles vs Steven Parker at #10 the only match not featuring the current World Champion).

USPW International Challenge caused ripples throughout the show, with wrestlers trying place themselves in a suitable position for the event. Hopefully this will develop over the next few weeks. And did anyone notice the quality of that dark match?

And Seduction has been annoying people backstage, just as I try to bring Darryl Devine back on screen. She got a fine for her troubles as a second offence.

How can so much suck be in the ring at one time?

Sean Deeley and Marc Speed vs Enygma and Jumbo Jackson

Yes SSD and Marc Speed are two of my favorites in the game, but Jumbo and Enygma are just a step above them on the USPW ladder in my opinion.

Tom Gilmore vs Art Reed vs Mick Muscles vs Steven Parker

Just going with the one I like the best. I do think Gilmore has the best shot of winning this but I could see Steven Parker taking it as well. As for the other two, well they are cannon fodder in this match.

USPW American Wrestling:

Live from the South East

Pre-Show: Dark Disciple defeated Al Coleman (D); Freddie Datsun and KC Glenn defeated John Pathlow and Harley Neill (D)

The show opened with Enygma coming out to declare that he was taking charge of Team America for the International Challenge, and would name his team by the end of the night. An unenthusiastic crowd popped when Nicky Champion limped on to challenge Enygma for the right to captain Team America, which made Enygma declare that the former World Champion was neither worthy or fit to be on his team. As the two argued Sam Strong came out and noted that it was not his place to pick teams – and teams had to agree on captains themselves. However, he said he thought both men were worthy of representing the USA and should agree to be on the same team – and perhaps once their team is set decide who was the captain? In the end Enygma and Champion agreed to pick one other member of the team each, and then decide who was in charge (B+)

After the match Cherry Bomb put herself over as the Number One Canadian Woman, to which Belle Bryden came out to point out that her title made her the Number One Woman full stop. Cherry Bomb challenged that, and in the end they agreed to a PPV rematch for the Women’s Title next week ©

Backstage and Tom Gilmore sought out Steven Parker, with Art Reed and Mick Muscles tagging along. Gilmore told Parker that he wanted him to complete Team Canada – he knows that he’s had his differences with all of them, but it’s time to get over that. Steven Parker said that the only way he would ever join the team is if he was the captain, which led to Mick Muscles telling Parker to respect Gilmore’s legendary status. Parker laughed at that, wondering whether the “legend” of Gilmore was to let someone else do his talking for him. Gilmore said that wasn’t necessary – he could do all the talking or fighting he wanted. That made Parker suggest they have a match for the captaincy of Team Canada – but not just between him and Gilmore, but with Mick Muscles and Art Reed as well. There was initial reluctance, but Parker asked if this wasn’t done then how would anyyone know that the captain was truly worthy? And we have our Main Event (B)

Daniel Reed and Mr Patterson came out for a match against one another when Bruce the Giant came out to get inbetween the two of them. Bruce declared that he wanted to lead a Rest of the World Team into the International Challenge, and the two Brits in front of him were both first round picks for his team. Neither Reed or Patterson seemed happy, but Bruce is difficult to argue with, and he led them away from the ring… making sure to keep himself between the two of them (B-)

Backstage and Ekuma asked Enygma to be on Team America… and was turned down. So he pleaded to be on Team America… and was turned down. Then he started begging, and was told him to prove himself in a match against Savage Fury – on his own. As he eagerly went away Jumbo Jackson came up to Enygma and told him that he better not be giving away his place on Team America, which Enygma said would definitely not be happening (B)

Team Sublime are back together after Andre Jones had a Unified Title feud and Darryl Devine did… nothing. Devine was still uneasy with Jones, but they blew through the opposition with Jones hitting Stones with a Blast From the Past.

Team Sublime defeated Jared Johnson and Johnny Stones in 6.06 (D)

Nicky Champion was shown backstage asking Marc Speed to be on Team America, which he accepted. Champion then asked if he would be behind him as captain, which Speed confirmed that of course he would (B-)

Enygma and Jumbo Jackson got on well as a team, with Jackson using his size well to dominate Sean Deeley. Eventually he got into his corner to make the tag but Marc Speed jumped down from the apron, allowing Jackson to finish Deeley off with a Jumbo Avalanche.

Enygma and Jumbo Jackson defeated Sean Deeley and Marc Speed in 6.49 (B-)

Nicky Champion came out to ask Marc Speed what just happened, but was dropped to the floor by Speed and put in an armbar. Enygma then rolled the former champion into the ring for Jumbo Jackson to hit another Jumbo Avalanche, before Enyma, Jackson and Speed celebrated together. Enygma took a mic and put the captaincy of Team America to the vote… and rather unsurprisingly he won (B+)

This match had all four men in the ring at the same time, and for a moment it looked as if it would be Parker vs everyone else… until he rolled out of the ring and told everyone else to get a move one. Gilmore, Reed and Muscles started off against one another, with Parker eventually entering the ring once they had begun to wear one anther down. However, none of his opponents were to give him the opportunity to win and eventually he became the whipping boy, with eventually Art Reed putting him in a Dread Lock. That one didn’t last long either as Mick Muscles pulled Reed away, and the two started exchanging blows. Muscles launched Reed from the ring and then was rolled up by Parker… but he just managed to kick out. Gilmore preceded to clothesline Muscles over the top rope and fought off a Future Shock to deliver an Anger Management to Parker, picking up the victory and claiming captaincy of Team Canada.

Tom Gilmore defeated Art Reed, Mick Muscles and Steven Parker in 14.30 (B)

Steven Parker got angrily in Art Reed’s face accusing him of giving up, before being pulled away by Tom Gilmore (B+)

Overall Rating C (huh?)

It seems that people thought the Ekuma handicap match was the beginning of a push for him. Nope. MichiganHero and jesseewiak share the spoils with 4/6.

C!?! Oh, I advertised Sean Deeley and Mick Muscles vs Enygma and Jumbo Jackson by mistake? Whoops.

Anyway, it seems we have Team America (Enygma (captain), Nicky Champion, Jumbo Jackson and a newly heel Marc Speed), Team Canada (Tom Gilmore (captain), Steven Parker, Art Reed and Mick Muscles), Team Samoa (Savage Fury and Samoan Destruction Inc) and Team World (Bruce the Giant (captain), Daniel Reed, Mr Patterson and tbc) for the International Challenge. It’s shaping up.

Man Mountain Cahill (Pain) announces that he’ll be winding down from wrestling in the next few months. Meanwhile, Gorgon signs a new deal.
