Savage Fury defeated Ekuma in 3.35 ©[/Quote]

To quote Dr. Smith from Lost in Space, "The pain...the pain of it all..."

Really all three of those guys are bad so I can't blame you for not letting Ekuma get the win there.

USPW American Wrestling:

Live from the Tri State

Pre-Show: Dark Truth defeated KC Glenn and Ekuma (D+); Art Reed and Mick Muscles defeated John Pathlow and Jack Griffith (C+)

We opened with Nicky Champion who although upset at being attacked last week accepts Enygma’s captaincy. That brought Enygma out to tell Champion that he was lucky that he was still in his team, but Jumbo Jackson and Marc Speed would carry him through. That brought out Bruce the Giant and Tom Gilmore to stake their team’s claim, with Bruce adding that his team would be completed tonight. We would have another Canada vs USA bout, with Gilmore taking on Jumbo Jackson in the Main Event (B+)

Match #1: Belle Bryden © vs Cherry Bomb for the USPW Women’s Title

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Womens.jpg

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BelleBryden.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/CherryBomb_alt2.jpg

Alicia Strong joined the commentary team in this decent encounter, the first of consecutive PPV rematches. This one went the same way as the original, with Bryden putting away Cherry Bomb with a Dish of the Day before celebrating with her eyes locked on Alicia Strong.

Belle Bryden © defeated Cherry Bomb in 6.55 to retain the USPW Women’s Title (C+)

Backstage and Sam Strong had an announcement about USPW International Challenge. Each team would compete in three matches – a singles match, a tag match, and a four-way match between the team captains. A point for each win, top scorer wins. In addition, there would be a ten man over the top match to declare the Number One Contender to the USPW Unified Title, and a Six Way match to name the Number One Contender to the Women’s Title (B+)

Match #2: Samoan Machine vs Pain

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ShooterSeanDeeley.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Pain_eay.jpg

Our second PPV rematch, correcting our incorrect result but in much less style. Travis Century and Dark Disciple were overwhelmed ringside by Savage Fury, the distraction allowing Samoan Machine to lock the Unbreakable Sleeper to eventually make Pain tap.

Samoan Machine defeated Pain in 6.28 (D+)

The Samoans met once more in the ring before headbutting one another… seemingly in a sign of solidarity. Which, as the commentators pointed out, would have been a scary sight for the other teams (B-)

Enygma was shown backstage with Steven Parker, furious that Savage Fury had apparently disobeyed his instructions and headed to the ring. He said they were still a team and would work to their aims, and told Parker to follow him to the ring (B+)

As The People’s Team headed to the ring KC Glenn caught up to them, asking if he could watch them to help his development. Freddie Datsun agreed as Des Davids rolled his eyes (D)

Match #3: The People’s Team vs Enygma and Steven Parker

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/FreddieDatsun.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DesDavids.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/StevenParker.jpg

This was always going to be a good match, but I bumped it down the card as the two Main Events tell more of a story. Great match, only one winner, and it came after Parker hit Datsun with a Future Shock.

Enygma and Steven Parker defeated The People’s Team in 6.42 (B-)

Bruce the Giant was preparing for Team World’s match with Mr Patterson and Daniel Reed, when Ekuma came over to ask to be part of the team. Bruce pointed out that Ekuma wanted to be part of Team America last week, but Ekuma said that as a Hawaiian he was an outcast, and felt that the world better represented him. Bruce apologised, and said that he already had the last member of his team a Mexican he brought over by the name of Amazing Firefly. Mr Patterson almost choked in disbelief before walking off, shaking his head. Bruce turned around to the Amazing Firefly and told him it looked like there was a space for him in the next match (D)

Match #4: Bruce the Giant, Daniel Reed and Amazing Firefly vs Jared Johnson, Johnny Stones and Harley Neill

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BrucetheGiant.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DanielFrancis.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AmazingFireFly_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JaredJohnson.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JohnnyStones.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/HarleyNeill.jpg

What we got here was early work from Daniel Reed, Bruce domination, a minute of high flying skills from Amazing Firefly, and then more Bruce dominance. He put away Johnny Stones with a Giant Choke Slam before letting Firefly make the tag, and he made sure no-one could make the save.

Bruce the Giant, Daniel Reed and Amazing Firely defeated Jared Johnson, Johnny Stones and Harley Neill in 5.39 (D+)

Backstage and Team Sublime were shown with Sam Strong, asking why there wasn’t a Number One Contenders Match for the Tag Titles at International Challenge. Sam apologised, but said most teams were involved in the Challenge – but he had an idea of opponents for them (B-)

Match #5: Sean Deeley vs Marc Speed

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ShooterSeanDeeley.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MarcSpeed.jpg

Nicky Champion joined the commentary team on what I was hoping to be a little gem… which wasn’t. Ah well. Speed and Deeley exchanged technical moves with one another, showing that they knew one another well after tagging together for the last couple of months. Speed was able to use his size to keep Deeley underneath him, and was finally able to apply the Cross Armbreaker for the victory.

Marc Speed defeated Sean Deeley in 8.05 ©

Nicky Champion came down to the ring after the match, and said that he knew they had to work together at International Challenge, but to do that they had to get over their mistrust for one another. Champion said he knew how to do that – and that was to have a match to get over things next week. Marc Speed agreed, and said that he’d enjoy making the smug fool tap (B-)

Match #6: Tom Gilmore vs Jumbo Jackson

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AngryGilmore.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JumboJackson.jpg

I can’t believe this was the match. The first match to send me into B+ territory. A better match than Gilmore vs Enygma (although Gilmore has established himself more since then). A better match than Champion vs Enygma. I’m not sure if the excitement was added to by the fact that Team Canada and Team America came out to the ring as both men were down, which emphasised the fact that Parker and Enygma were representing two different teams. Enygma told Parker to leave but the youngster refused, and even put Gilmore’s foot on the bottom rope as Jackson was going for a pin attempt. A frustrated Enygma tried to rectify this by smashing his title on Gilmore’s head, but as the referee saw him this only handed the victory to the Canadian.

Tom Gilmore defeated Jumbo Jackson in 11.17 by DQ (B+)

Parker and Enygma started a full blown argument between each other, with their two team mates holding them back before they came to blows (B+)

Overall Rating B-

BHK1978 picked up the victory with 5/6, but no-one correctly called Samoan Machine getting the victory over Pain that was meant for the PPV. Pain's mini-push as a result of this is now over, and he's not involved in the International Challenge, but Samoan Machine very much is.

That Main Event had neutral chemistry, I swear. It seems that Tom Gilmore may have been a decent signing (well duh…). If that doesn’t get people excited about the International Challenge nothing will…

I thought that I may be losing Sean Deeley, but it turned out that he was joining Hinote Dojo on a PPA contract, not a development deal. I’ll admit, his match with Marc Speed was a disappointment, but I have to ask whether that was actually Marc Speed’s fault.

Art Reed and Mick Muscles vs Dark Truth

Ekuma vs Mr Patterson

Ekuma sucks, what is it with the C-Verse and island born player, why do they all seem to stink.

Alicia Strong, Cherry Bomb and Amber Allen vs Raven Robinson, Gorgon and Joanne Rodriguez

Savage Fury © vs Daniel Reed and Amazing Firefly in a non title match

Even with this being a non-title affair, I still think the Savage Jobbers should get a win here.

USPW American Wrestling:

Live from the Mid South

Pre-Show: Team Sublime defeated Harley Neill and Bruiser (D); Pain squashed Bob Casey (D-); John Pathlow and Jack Griffith defeated KC Glenn and Al Coleman (D+)

The show opened with Sam Strong calling out the captains for the International Challenge… the last out being Samoan Machine, confirming the final captain. Sam told each man that they would feature in the Main Event at the International Challenge, and he wanted them to nominate a tag team and singles competitor before tonight’s Main Event, when he would announce the randomly selected match ups. He also demanded that all four teams behave… which led to each captain saying that they would only if allowed to by their opponents (B+)

Match #1: Art Reed and Mick Muscles vs Dark Truth

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/ArtReed.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MickMuscles.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/TravisCentury.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/SayedAli_eay.jpg

Art Reed and Mick Muscles kept momentum up for the Canadians, although they had a little assist from Team Sublime arguing with Travis Century, exposing Dark Disciple for a Bulldozer Powerbomb from Mick Muscles.

Art Reed and Mick Muscles defeated Dark Truth in 7.41 ©

Travis Century looked questionably at Team Sublime, who revealed that they had a match with Dark Truth at International Challenge – and they had better be ready (C-)

Bruce the Giant was shown speaking to Mr Patterson, asking him if he would be ringside to support his colleagues later. Patterson said he wouldn’t – he was doing his business on his on now. He added that Bruce better put him down as their singles entrant, as there was no way he was going to team with the either of the other two (B-)

Match #2: Ekuma vs Mr Patterson

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Ekuma.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DannyPatterson-1.jpg

Ekuma tried to show Bruce the Giant that he’s made a mistake by not picking him. As Mr Patterson took three minutes to hit a Choke Slam, it seemed that he failed.

Mr Patterson defeated Ekuma in 3.06 (D-)

KC Glenn was shown going up to The People’s Team backstage, asking if they were involved in the battle royal at International Challenge, which Datsun confirmed they were. Glenn asked if they could work together, and Datsun said it wasn’t quite as easy as that, with Davids being slightly less blunt in pointing out there was only one winner, and teaming up wasn’t an option (D+)

As Alicia Strong, Cherry Bomb and Amber Allen made there way to the ring Raven Robinson snickered off to one side, pointing out how Cherry Bomb was relying on Americans to make up her team. Cherry had to be restrained by her colleagues, as Robinson swaggered away, calling over her shoulder that no Americans respected her, not even her teammates ©

Match #3: Alicia Strong, Cherry Bomb and Amber Allen vs Raven Robinson, Gorgon and Joanne Rodriguez

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AliciaStrong.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/CherryBomb_alt2.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AmberAllen-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/RavenNightfall_alt1.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Gorgon.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/JoanneRodriguez_alt1.jpg

At one point this match became a two on two match as an angry Cherry Bomb pulled Raven Robinson from the ring apron and threw her into the crowd. Belle Bryden, on commentary, suggested that none of these ladies deserved a title shot, and she had nothing to be scared of. It was Amber Allen who surprisingly picked up the victory, pinning J-Ro while Strong and Gorgon faced off.

Alicia Strong, Cherry Bomb and Amber Allen defeated Raven Robinson, Gorgon and Joanne Rodriguez in 7.36 (C-)

Tom Gilmore and Steven Parker were shown backstage… shaking hands? It looks like Team Canada are showing some unity (B)

Match #4: Savage Fury © vs Daniel Reed and Amazing Firefly in a non title match

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/TribalWarrior.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Java.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/DanielFrancis.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AmazingFireFly_alt.jpg

Reed and Firefly didn’t really work too well together… oh. Hmm, that’s not too good. Bruce was at ringside to support, but he could do nothing about Firefly being flattened by a Head Hunter Special.

Savage Fury defeated Daniel Reed and Amazing Firefly in 6.23 (D)

Nicky Champion cut a promo backstage when Enygma and Jumbo Jackson came up, telling them to get it out of their system. He made both men promise that when the match ends they put this behind them, which both men reluctantly agreed on (B+)

Match #5: Nicky Champion vs Marc Speed

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/NickyChampion_alt.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/MarcSpeed.jpg

You know, maybe Marc Speed isn’t cut out for a run at the Main Event. And I know it’s a clash of styles but he didn’t blow the world away with his match against Sean Deeley last week. He just could lock on any of his moves and eventually gave up and struck a firm low blow for the DQ.

Nicky Champion defeated Marc Speed in 7.41 by DQ ©

A furious Nicky Champion pulled himself up, but was just met by Speed smugly grinning and extending his hand. Which was ignored (B-)

Sam Strong came out to announce the match ups for International Challenge, and we have:

Nicky Champion vs Mr Patterson

Rhino Umaga vs Steven Parker

Daniel Reed and Amazing Firefly vs Jumbo Jackson and Marc Speed

Mick Muscles and Art Reed vs Savage Fury

Samoan Machine vs Bruce the Giant vs Tom Gilmore vs Enygma

(B+)

Match #6: Tom Gilmore and Bruce the Giant vs Enygma and Samoan Machine

http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/AngryGilmore.jpg & http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/BrucetheGiant.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/USPW_Declaration-1.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/Enygma.jpghttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu230/eayragt/USPW%2010/SamoanMachine.jpg

I tried to get away with the odd face / heel combination… and failed. Didn’t help that this was one of the longer matches which we had for a while as well. And it was a huge upset, with Samoan Machine hitting a Samoan Drop on Bruce the Giant and making the pin for the victory. The fact that he had been attacked by Savage Fury moments earlier and Gilmore was being attacked by Jumbo Jackson is neither here nor there…

Enygma and Samoan Machine defeated Tom Gilmore and Bruce the Giant in 17.22 (C+)

After the match… well, we had a lot of people in the ring. Nicky Champion and Mr Patterson stayed out of it, neither of them on best terms with the rest of their team, but we got bodies flying everywhere, finishing moves, and carnage (B)

Overall Rating C+

Not the greatest of shows, but I did my best to build of the PPV. Just not the ten man battle royale.

Bruiser signs a new deal – actually cheaper than his previous one. I was going to let him go but made a late decision to keep him around, as he makes a half decent jobber. Harley Neill brightens mood out back… how come it’s my jobbers that are good to have around backstage. Still, no bad thing s I guess… jobber tag team with Bruiser?

Holy 24 year old up to an “A” in basics. I think I might just have to…

I truly have no idea with this. Right off the bat you can eliminate Ekuma and Redwood because they both suck and are not going to win jack crap. I would say that Freddie and Des are taking out of the equation as well because they are in the tag team division. Now after doing all of that and seeing who is left, I shall go with KC. Yes it is a huge upset for him to win this at the current stage of his career but I have faith. Now watch it be Des...

I am not sold on Amazing Firefly in this match. I think he is the weakest link...goodbye!

Mick Muscles and Art Reed vs Savage Fury

I know I say that I will never pick them but they will probably win so why not be right for once?

Samoan Machine vs Bruce the Giant vs Tom Gilmore vs Enygma

Well I am not sure if he is indeed going to win but he is my favorite out of this group so there is that.

Now I should have put more thought behind the international challenge series but I like my picks.
