UFC: The NEW ERA

Recommended Posts

<p>"Good morning to all, as you all know I am Dana White, the president of the UFC and I have a couple of huge announcements for you all today. The first is that BJ Penn, Anderson Silvia, and Georges St. Pierre have nothing left to prove in their current weight classes. So affective immediately, BJ is moving to the welterweight division, Silvia will be in the Light Heavyweight Division, and GSP will be in the Middleweight division. Their titles have been vacated and we will hold title fights for those belts in the next couple of pay per views.</p><p>

The second announcement is that we have had many internal discussions and we have decided to create a Featherweight division. Some of the fighters will be from WEC, most notably “The California Kid” Urijah Faber, Jose Aldo, and “Mayhem” Mike Thomas Brown. Others will be fighters from the lightweight division that have agreed to move down a weight class. Some of those fighters would be: Tyson Griffen, Clay Guida, and Nate Diaz. We are also looking outside the company to bring in some of the top fighters in this weight class. That is all I have for this time. Thank you and I will see you all soon for the fight announcements for our next pay per view.”</p>
