3rd July, 2010 - Freebush & Doc Out Ota

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/JimLouFreebush.jpghttp://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/DocMessing.jpg

What a way to welcome themselves to the world of podcasting! The UWA announce team of Jim Lou Freebush and Doc Messing rocked the wrestling world by simulcasting their brand new podcast live on the web during CZCW's Battle on the Beach 2010. Their stunning revelation? That UWA owner Fumihiro Ota was signed to challenge Coastal Zone Champion Acid for the title.

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/FumihiroOta.jpg

A caller on a mobile phone claiming to be inside the event said the match, held at a sold out Grissom Auditorium (capacity 2,000) in the South West, was great (it was rated 81, much higher than anything done in the UWA). After the match Ota was reportedly seen chatting with CZCW owner Cliff Anderson, although no details are available about their conversation.

The boys then ambushed Ota by calling his mobile phone after the event had ended, but Ota said that he had no comment about his appearance for CZCW. He would not confirm or deny that he would appear for CZCW again and questioned how Freebush and Doc got the information in the first place.

Doc threw that right back in Ota's face, reminding him that it was the digital age and the results would be available seconds after the card was over anyway. "You're wrestling in your ninja costume, as Fumihiro Ota for goodness sakes!" Freebush exclaimed. Freebush went further and asked his boss if Ota took them for fools. He then pressed Ota again, this time about unconfirmed rumors that Ota had been approached by SWF to do a developmental stint in RIPW. At that point Ota suddenly clammed up and ended the conversation.

Hard to tell if this was a work or a shoot, so Ota's reception by the hardcore few who have been attending UWA matches at Hunter's Town Hall is sure to be a thing to behold at UWA Proving Gounds.

21st July, 2010</p><p>

Hunter’s Town Hall, Mid West</p><p>

Attendance: 35</p><p>

Overall Score: <strong>52</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:12px;">The Mean Machine vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond </span></strong> </p><p>

-This was actually a pretty decent match for the opener, and ended up being UWA original Dave Diamond’s highest rated match in his UWA career. In the end, though, it was <strong>The Mean Machine</strong> getting the victory and making it three wins on the trot. <strong>44</strong> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>UWA World Heavyweight Champion </em><em><strong>Remmy Skye</strong></em><em> bumped into owner </em><em><strong>Fumihiro Ota</strong></em><em> backstage and immediately started questioning Ota about appearing for CZCW. Ota became irate and pushed Skye away into an open broom closet before he stormed off. </em><em><strong>55</strong></em> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Greg Gauge vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West</span></strong></p><p>

-In a surprisingly good match, <strong>Sgt. Bubba Lee West</strong> got off his losing skid by extending Gauge’s in this upset. Gauge looked utterly disgusted after the match, nearly threw referee Jez McArthuer out of the ring in what looked like a shoot, and muttered to himself all the way back to the locker room about quitting the “stupid UWA.” <strong>50</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Ernie Turner vs. Rhino Umaga </strong></span></p><p>

-Turner’s luck didn’t improve much from last month as he was steamrolled here by <strong>Rhino Umaga</strong> in a quick squash. Several members of the audience commented after the show that they thought Turner has quite a unique scream when on defense in the ring so it was nice to see him in pain against Umaga and have a chance to use it in a live match. <strong>42</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>In the locker room area, </em><em><strong>Sgt. Bubba Lee West</strong></em><em> and </em><em><strong>Ash Campbell</strong></em><em> are shown agreeing to form a brand new tag team called </em><em><strong>The Best of the Best.</strong></em><em> The pair seem giddy at the opportunity to wreak havoc on the under-featured tag division. </em><em><strong>38</strong></em> </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Fumihiro Ota vs. Ash Campbell</strong></span></p><p>

-In another match that can only be termed an upset , <strong>Ash Campbell</strong> took a victory over UWA owner Fumihiro Ota in one of the best encounters of the night. Despite being the “face” in this matchup, Ota took as much grief as one can take from 35 Midwesterners, the harshest criticism coming from Farmer Mike who repeatedly screamed that Ota would never be able to finish plowing the fields as quickly as Mike's young nephew, Rob. <strong>51</strong> </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>The Sensational Singh vs. Remmy Skye ©</strong></span></p><p>

<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>UWA World Heavyweight Championship</strong></span></p><p>

<span>http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAWorldHeavy.jpg</span></p><p>

-Singh wasn’t as bad as he was last month, and Skye wasn’t as on top of his game as he’s been since being crowned champion, but overall the match between the two was about the same. The difference this time was that it was the best match of the night instead of being outdone by the previous bout. <strong>53</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Out the Door:</strong> No one cared about Sgt. West and Campbell’s new tag team. People couldn’t stop talking about the Ota & Skye confrontation, thinking that it was a clear sign that Ota was going to challenge Skye for the title again soon. Another solid show for the fed. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Worker of the Night:</strong> Remmy Skye – While his performance wasn’t as dynamic as we’ve seen in the past, Skye was still clearly the best performer in the Main Event and he made his 4th successful title defense in the process. </p><p>

2nd August, 2010 – UWA Slave to the Grind Announced

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/slave.jpg

Rumors were swirling prior to this announcement that Fumihiro Ota was about to fire Greg Gauge after his conduct last month in the aftermath of his loss to Sgt. Bubba Lee West, and the fears seemed to be compounded by the fact that Gauge wasn’t booked for the UWA’s August event, Slave to the Grind. But no official announcement was made and all indications were that Gauge would be at Hunter’s Town Hall in August, located at a secret location in the wood near a brook.

Side rumors were started on various internet forums that the UWA was going to hire the Vermont-based jamband Phish to play one of their signature anthems - “Slave to the Traffic Light” - as the event’s theme song. As of this writing that information is unconfirmed.

UWA Slave to the Grind

21st August, 2010

Hunter’s Town Hall, Mid West

Ernie Turner vs. Ash Campbell

-After beating UWA owner Fumihiro Ota last month at UWA Proving Grounds, Ash Campbell seems to be getting punished here by opening the card against Turner. Turner is a relatively recent UWA signee, having joined the company just prior to his debut loss against The Mean Machine at UWA Resistance back in June. This certainly seems like a no-win situation for Campbell – if he wins he did what he was supposed to; if he loses he is upset by a guy who hasn’t won in his UWA career.

The Mean Machine vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

-A rematch from Proving Grounds where The Mean Machine took a closely fought battle.

UWA Garden State Championship

The Sensational Singh © vs. Rhino Umaga

-The Sensational Singh responds to some recent criticism about ducking title defenses by putting the UWA Garden State Championship on the line for the first time ever against Rhino Umaga. Umaga has been working himself into contention for a singles title shot over the last couple of months and he'll get his opportunity here at Slave to the Grind.

Fumihiro Ota vs. Bradford Peverell

-Ota attempts to redeem himself in the ring after a poor run of form (and a slew of negative publicity) against a man in UWA original Bradford Peverell who is undefeated in his career with the company. Bringing an added dimension to the match is that Ota & Peverell were tag partners in a win against Handsome Stranger & Sgt. Bubba Lee West back at UWA Resistance in June, and the speculation that Ota may again appear for CZCW at some point in August.

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/BradfordPeverell.jpg

UWA World Heavyweight Championship

Handsome Stranger vs. Remmy Skye ©

-Kind of an odd matchup as Stranger has been struggling since joining the UWA and certainly doesn’t deserve a title shot, while Skye is just about as hot as can be. Might just be one to reestablish the champion and inflate Skye’s total title defenses. The blogosphere hasn’t been kind to this matchup as they predict it will be worse than the recent Skye vs. Kashmir Singh bouts.

21st August, 2010 - UWA Slave to the Grind Results

Note: By the way, I'm updating the second and third posts in this thread whenever I make a new post in terms of fed momentum, popularity, prestige, and game world events.

UWA Slave to the Grind Results

21st August, 2010

Hunter’s Town Hall, Mid West

Attendance: 100

Overall Score: 58

More midwestern wrestling fans than ever somehow found their way through the wood to Hunter’s Town Hall’s secret location. There was a jolt of energy infused into The Hall (as it’s affectionately become known) by a record crowd that had nearly tripled from the month before. It was almost as if this show should have been the one called UWA Proving Grounds. Fans argued that the name, however, was apropos as the hard work put in by everyone involved with the fed since its cancelled April event would start to pay real (as opposed to theoretical) dividends tonight.

Ernie Turner vs. Ash Campbell

-With all of that good will and energy crackling through The Hall, the fed put on one of its worst matches in history. Turner had no business being out there as Ash Campbell roared to yet another victory. The crowd would have been happier if neither man were out there, and took a giant dump on the match with a “worst match evv-eer” chant. 37

Remmy Skye charged into UWA owner Fumihiro Ota’s office and speared him right through his desk and into a huge cake that happened to be behind Ota’s chair. The crowd seemed confused at first before politely applauding. 54

The Mean Machine vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

-The Mean Machine made it two straight over Dave Diamond. After the match, Diamond reminded the crowd that his win over Hollywood Bret Starr back at UWA Kings of Spandex was probably the UWA’s worst ever match. 44

The Sensational Singh © vs. Rhino Umaga

UWA Garden State Championship

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAGardenState.jpg

-The Sensational Singh’s manager Brains McGhee shockingly came down for the match with Rhino Umaga in a modern day backstabbing. The surprise factor worked as Umaga basically had his way with Singh for most of the match until Singh countered into an anklelock. McGhee scrambled into the ring and broke the hold but Singh then launched him from the ring into a nearby wheelbarrow filled with hay. Singh went back to work on Umaga with a sleeper and made the big man tap out for his first successful title defense. 44

Fumihiro Ota vs. Bradford Peverell

-Peverell threw everything and the kitchen sink at Fumihiro Ota but it just wasn’t enough as Ota ended Peverell’s unbeaten run that stretched back to February with a moonsault. It was an extremely balanced match though, and so Peverell didn’t really lose much momentum in defeat. This was a really solid bout in the eyes of most the fans in attendance. 56

Handsome Stranger vs. Remmy Skye ©

UWA World Heavyweight Championship

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAWorldHeavy.jpg

-For a completely random encounter involving a challenger that clearly didn’t deserve a title shot, this turned out to be one of the Universal Wrestling Alliance’s best matches of the year. Remmy Skye made it five straight title defenses and doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon, while Stranger came out of the match with an improved, higher profile despite the loss. 60

Out the Door: Even with the weak Turner/Campbell match, the crowd thought this card was the best in UWA history, edging out UWA Exile back in May. There was some minor trouble in the crowd as the 30-40 “original” UWA fans got into a couple of shouting matches with some of the newcomers. Most fans loved Ota getting speared, but didn't understand what a cake was doing there behind Ota's chair.

Fast Stat: The Stranger/Skye Main Event was the second match rated 60 or better in the fed’s history. The first was the Ota/Skye Main Event (rated 62) from UWA Exile.

Worker of the Night: Fumihiro Ota – Ota stopped Bradford Peverell to end the longest winning streak in UWA history.

28th August, 2010 - Wrestling World News

This month was a particularly busy month for huge industry news from around the wrestling world:

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/SeanMcFly.jpg

Sean McFly left NOTBPW to sign an exclusive deal with CGC. It was a shocking deal that no one saw coming and everyone, even the most casual wrestling fan, is interested to see exactly how this will turn out for both companies.

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/JackDeColt.jpg

Jack DeColt also shocked the wrestling community by allowing his CGC contract to expire. By refusing a new contract, DeColt also effectively resigned his position as Head Trainer at the DeColt Power House. DeColt had no comment on the situation and his spokesperson said that Jack has nothing lined up, he's just going to take a little time off.

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/GregGauge.jpg

The UWA's Fumihiro Ota called a press conference to make a couple of announcements. First he let everyone know that Greg Gauge had been fired with immediate effect. He also let everyone know that he had reached an agreement with SWF's Richard Eisen to wrestle on a PPA basis for RIPW, and in exchange for Ota's services Justin Sensitive would join the UWA roster as Gauge's replacement.

2nd September, 2010 – UWA GrappleFest Announced

Fumihiro Ota gave the okay on a press release which announced that the UWA would have three more events in 2010: September’s GrappleFest, October’s Torn, and November’s Violent Conduct, before taking a holiday break for the entire month of December. With all of the big news in the industry of late, the announcement of the UWA card was nothing more than an afterthought:

UWA GrappleFest

21st September, 2010

Hunter’s Town Hall, Mid West

UWA World Tag Team Championship

The Sensational Singh & Rhino Umaga © vs. The Best of the Best

-The Sensational Singh won the UWA World Tag Team Championship as part of The Crew Cutters back at UWA Exile in May, but now that Greg Gauge is no longer in the company Singh will have to team with Rhino Umaga against the newly formed combination of Ash Campbell & Sgt. Bubba Lee West - The Best of the Best.

The Mean Machine vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

-The Mean Machine has defeated Dazzling Dave Diamond two months in a row dating back to UWA Proving Grounds in July. Overall, Diamond hasn’t won in a UWA ring since his February upset of Hollywood Bret Starr. This looks to be yet another easy victory lined up for The Mean Machine.

Fumihiro Ota vs. Handsome Stranger

-Stranger put on one of the best matches of the year for the UWA last month against World Heavyweight Champion Remmy Skye at Slave to the Grind. Here he is back in the ring against UWA owner Fumihiro Ota who could really use a win to help bolster his own claims for a World title shot.

UWA World Heavyweight Championship

Bradford Peverell vs. Remmy Skye ©

-Peverell had his long win streak stopped last month by Fumihiro Ota in a classic bout that won’t soon be forgotten. But, in a sign of respect, Ota has decided that Peverell needed to be rewarded for his fine recent form with a title shot. Remmy Skye faces his toughest challenge yet at UWA GrappleFest!

21st September, 2010 - UWA GrappleFest Results

UWA GrappleFest Results

21st September, 2010

Hunter’s Town Hall, Mid West

Attendance: 97

Overall Score: 58

The Sensational Singh & Rhino Umaga © vs. The Best of the Best

UWA World Tag Team Championship

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAWorldTag-1.jpghttp://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAWorldTag-1.jpg

-The Sensational Singh was clearly off his game on this night from having been thrown into a makeshift tag team with Rhino Umaga. Singh, who won the belts with the now ex-UWA’er Greg Gauge in May at UWA Exile, seemed suspicious of Umaga all night and the lack of teamwork and trust played right to the advantage of Sgt. Bubba Lee West and Ash Campbell. West and Campbell had tremendous focus and used quick tags and frequent doubleteams to lead them to the victory and the crowning of new UWA World Tag Team Champions. A frustrated Singh got some cheers on his way back to the locker room, but Umaga kept looking back at the Best of the Best and smiling almost as if he was in cahoots with them. 46

The Mean Machine vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

-In one of the more surprising outcomes in the UWA’s short history, underachieving Dazzling Dave Diamond picked up his first win since February against a man in The Mean Machine who had been dominating all comers (including Diamond, twice) since his debut in May. Diamond got some pretty decent heat after the upset win, and smiled like a Cheshire cat giving the twisted impression that Diamond believed the outcome was never in doubt. 46

Remmy Skye was loafing about backstage while Brains McGhee practiced his juggling. In walked Ash Campbell who looked completely confused. After a long moment without any speaking, Campbell realized he was in the wrong dressing area and abruptly exited. 42

Fumihiro Ota vs. Handsome Stranger

-In a somewhat predictable match, Fumihiro Ota got the better of Handsome Stranger in a nice win for the UWA owner’s overall profile in his fed. Stranger, who came into the match riding a nice wave from his performance at Slave to the Grind last month, just couldn’t match up with Ota mixing in martial arts moves. 52

Bradford Peverell vs. Remmy Skye ©

UWA World Heavyweight Championship

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAWorldHeavy.jpg

-The fans who had somehow found their way to Hunter’s Town Hall for UWA GrappleFest had the feeling at the beginning of the night that they were going to witness something special. And the Main Event didn’t disappoint, as Bradford Peverell rebounded from his loss last month to Fumihiro Ota to win a classic match and become the second ever UWA World Heavyweight Champion. The match was one of the best of the year for the fed, and while no one saw the title change coming it seemed to go over well with the crowd. 61

Out the Door: The hot rumor was that Remmy Skye’s title loss was a signal that he is leaving the company. TCW seems to be the likely landing spot.

Fast Stat: Skye had never lost in his previous six matches in the UWA, dating back to his title win over Matthew Keith in February at UWA Kings of Spandex.

Worker of the Night: The man, the myth, the legend… BRADFORD PEVERELL!

<p>28th September, 2010 - Rumor Becomes Reality</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/RemmySkye.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Rumor became reality in the week following GrappleFest as the UWA's owner <strong>Fumihiro Ota</strong> confirmed that former World Heavyweight Champion <strong>Remmy Skye</strong> was leaving the fed for Total Championship Wrestling. </p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately, that wasn't the only news that Ota had to announce. Ota said that for the second time this year he had lost a referee to TCW; <strong>Jez McArthuer's</strong> brief UWA tenure was coming to an end with immediate effect on the heels of a written deal with the world's #2 promotion. When asked, Ota said that he and <strong>Kashmir Singh</strong> were already in negotiations with FCW's <strong>Ryan Holland</strong> to come in as the replacement but nothing had been agreed yet.</p><p> </p><p>

Finally, Ota reluctantly revealed that <strong>Rhino Umaga</strong> was letting his UWA contract expire so that the big man could concentrate on GCG & NYCW. While the news certainly wasn't welcome, Umaga leaves the fed on generally good terms. </p><p> </p><p>

Two major players leaving the fed right after back-to-back great shows is certainly going to hurt their momentum going into Torn & Violent Conduct, the last two UWA events of the year.</p>

30 September, 2010 - Ota Immediately Plugs the Holes

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAbanner.jpg

Just two days after UWA owner Fumihiro Ota was informed that he had lost two of his top wrestlers and his referee to other promotions, Ota took matters into his own hands rather than leaving them up to Head Booker Kashmir Singh and wasted no time in finding replacements.

Singh did play a role in helping to acquire the services of new referee Ryan Holland, whom Singh knows and is friendly with since they both appear for FCW. Once the initial contact was made, though, it was Ota who came in for the negotiations and quickly closed the deal. Holland, like Singh, will continue to work for both promotions going forward.

Inside the ring, Ota raised a couple of eyebrows by announcing the signing of Cameron Vessey to a PPA contract. Ota, who has already been burned by a couple of second generation stars who have used the UWA as a quick pit stop on the road to bigger and better, has certainly opened himself up to some criticism for the move. But Vessey should be a great talent for the UWA at this point in the company's development no matter how long he stays.

Lastly, Sammy the Shark will round out the current roster, adding the UWA to his duties with NYCW. Apparently Ota did not consult his Road Agent (and NYCW owner) The Stomper prior to the signing and it is already causing a strain in Ota & Stomper's relationship.

2nd October, 2010 - UWA Torn Announced

UWA Torn

21st October, 2010

Hunter’s Town Hall, Mid West

UWA World Tag Team Championship

Ernie Turner & Sammy the Shark vs. The Best of the Best ©

-The Best of the Best became the new World Tag Team Champions last month in a surprising show of advanced planning and strong teamwork. This month Sammy the Shark makes his UWA debut in a random tag team with The Slick Pimp Daddy Ernie Turner, who has had limited success since his debut at UWA Resistance back in June.

*Non-Title*

The Sensational Singh vs. The Mean Machine

-The Mean Machine was well on his way to a UWA Garden State title shot until his shocking loss to Dazzling Dave Diamond last month at GrappleFest. UWA owner Fumihiro Ota said that he still wanted to see what The Mean Machine could do in a big spot so he booked this non-title match with Kashmir Singh, the reigning Garden State champ.

Fumihiro Ota vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

-Dazzling Dave Diamond comes into this match riding a one-match win streak and looking to build on it. But, Ota here surely plans to transfer any heat Diamond has from his September upset of The Mean Machine onto himself.

UWA World Heavyweight Championship

Bradford Peverell © vs. Handsome Stranger

-The new World Heavyweight Champion gets straight to work, defending the belt for the first time against Handsome Stranger. This will be a rematch of their UWA Exile encounter back in May, in which Stranger started well but eventually fell to Peverell's superior skill. The roles have reversed from that matchup with Peverell now the fan favorite and Stranger routinely booed.

Instant Reaction: Once this card was posted, fans took to the online forums wondering when the heck Justin Sensitive or Cameron Vessey were going to make their debuts, with some now questioning if the two had actually joined the UWA at all.

Best of the Best should win all though I do like the Shark/Turner team even if it is a makeshift team.

Fumihiro Ota vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

DDD might be coming in with a one match win streak but that streak win end on this show.

Your picks make sense. It's been fun trying to put the AI's sometimes random results into a storyline!

Can't wait for you to end the year, PC. Hope you don't mind if I ask about the same workers I did in the watchers thread.

UWA Torn Results

21st October, 2010

Hunter’s Town Hall, Mid West

Attendance: 94

Overall Score: 51

Ernie Turner & Sammy the Shark vs. The Best of the Best ©

UWA World Tag Team Championship

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAWorldTag-1.jpghttp://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAWorldTag-1.jpg

-In one of the poorest matches in UWA history, Sgt. Bubba Lee West and Ash Campbell successfully defended their UWA World Tag Team Championship against the makeshift team of Ernie Turner & Sammy the Shark. Sammy had a solid UWA debut and looked comfortable in the ring with Turner, this may be a new regular team in the UWA. Maybe the fact that The Best of the Best had to really work hard for the victory was what let the audience down. 38

The Sensational Singh vs. The Mean Machine

*Non-Title*

-The Mean Machine was involved in yet another controversial loss, this time to The Sensational Singh. Despite getting more support from the crowd than supposed crowd-favorite and UWA Garden State Champion Singh, The Mean Machine appeared to slip while on the outside of the ring and hit his head against the ring post, allowing Singh to roll him back into the ring for the pin. After the result Singh grabbed his belt and quickly got away from the ring before taunting Mean Machine from a safe distance. 48

Fumihiro Ota vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

-Fumihiro Ota and Dazzling Dave Diamond put on the match of the night, with Diamond getting a couple of near-pinfalls before Ota slapped on a sleeper and put Diamond out. 54

Bradford Peverell © vs. Handsome Stranger

UWA World Heavyweight Championship

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r203/gratefulcowboy/uwa/UWAWorldHeavy.jpg

-Handsome Stranger had a prolonged period of dominance in this match starting right from outset, but like during their first encounter it was Bradford Peverell outlasting Stranger and picking up the victory. Peverell makes his first title defense, and with just one more UWA card scheduled for 2010 looks to end the year as the reigning champion. 51

Out the Door: People thought Handsome Stranger stood out in the Main Event. Again, UWA fans were disappointed not to see Justin Sensitive or Cameron Vessey on the card.

Fast Stat: This was the lowest rated card in the UWA’s history, but still plenty good enough to raise popularity and momentum.

Worker of the Night: Fumihiro Ota – Ota in his victory pulled the best match out of Dave Diamond that Diamond has had all year.

Phhht! Clearly Dave Diamond was worker of the night for dragging the Owner Ota to a watchable match! :D

I find this an interesting take on the watcher's diary.

:)

Thanks Beeker. I keep wanting to start a new save to mirror this game, but with me as the head booker to see if I could give Diamond a real push. We shall see.

I've also been delaying a bit because there's so much info for the end-of-year I'm trying to put into readable format rather than wall-of-text. We shall see!

2nd November, 2010 - UWA Violent Conduct Announced

UWA Violent Conduct

21st November, 2010

Hunter’s Town Hall, Mid West

*Non-Title*

The Sensational Singh vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

-The last two men to defeat The Mean Machine in the ring square off against each other in the opening bout of the last UWA event of 2010. A big win here for Diamond against the UWA Garden State Champion could go a long way to helping Diamond forget an otherwise tough year.

Sammy the Shark vs. Cameron Vessey

-Vessey makes his UWA debut against relative newcomer Sammy the Shark. Sammy lost his tag team match with Ernie Turner last month at UWA Torn against the reigning World Tag Champs, The Best of the Best. Vessey, meanwhile, will gain instant heel status with the working-class crowd for being a second generation star in the UWA.

Ernie Turner vs. Justin Sensitive

-The Slick Pimp Daddy Ernie Turner also looks to rebound from last month in a singles match against a UWA debutant – Justin Sensitive. Sensitive’s debut may very well be the most anticipated in UWA history, as he has allegedly already been under contract for two months without ever making an appearance.

Fumihiro Ota vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

-Sgt. Bubba Lee West has been on quite a roll lately as one half of the UWA World Tag Team Champions. Fumihiro Ota has been able to win three straight matches since losing to West’s tag partner Ash Campbell back at UWA Proving Grounds in July. Something’s got to give here as Ota tries to validate a World title push for himself in 2011, while West looks to continue his steady rise to the top.

UWA World Heavyweight Championship

Bradford Peverell © vs. The Mean Machine

-After two straight losses - including a stunner against Dave Diamond - it seems The Mean Machine is being served up to Bradford Peverell on a platter. But, as we’ve seen in recent months, the booking team of Fumihiro Ota & Kashmir Singh may have other ideas. Internet chatter has been that it could be a rather flat Main Event as nearly all of Machine’s momentum has been drained from his losses over the last couple of months.

Instant Reaction: Fans weren’t too pleased with Justin Sensitive being announced against Ernie Turner. They were expecting his debut to be against someone like Ota, Singh, or Peverell.

Does the AI do non-title matches? I have never done a true watcher game so I was wondering how it set such matches up.

Yup. I don't know though until after the card is over. Singh has had the Garden State title since February but only one of his matches has counted as an actual title defense when I check the title history and the notation in the results.
