UFC 112: GSP vs. Fitch

Spike TV Prelims

Alexander Gustafasson vs. James Te Huna

-The match was a slug fest, but late in the 3rd round, Alexander got it too the ground, then applied an americana for the win.

Winner: Alexander Gustafasson via submission (4:05 in rd. 3) *GREAT*

Jason Young vs. Dan Lauzon

-Snooze fest.

Winner: Dan Lauzon via UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *VERY POOR*

Melvin Guillard vs. Ross Pearson

-Guillard seemed too be ready for this fight. He got it on the ground, got mount, and landed some major shots.

Winner: Melvin Guillard via. TKO (2:36 in rd. 1) *FANTASTIC*

--------------------------------------

Chad Corvin vs. Todd Duffee

-Duffee was just too much for Corvin, who came in un-prepared for the fight, or so it seemed.

Winner: Todd Duffee via. TKO (2:17 in rd. 1) *FANTASTIC*

Aaron Simpson vs. Drew McFedries

-After a pretty even first round, Simpson eventually took over the ground game, landing some lethal shots, brining the fight to an end in the 2nd round.

Winner: Aaron Simpson via. TKO (2:21 in rd. 2) *GOOD*

Co Main Event:

Rampage Jackson vs. Thiago Silva

-Silva engaged, setting the pace, but all it takes is a few good shots, and the fights done. Rampage was quick too end it.

Winner: Rampage Jackson via. TKO (2:39 in rd. 1) *FANTASTIC*

Main Event: Welterweight title fight

Georges St. Pierre © vs. Jon Fitch

-GSP dominated, and showed why he is one of the best P4P fighters out there. Takedown-after-takedown, it was all going his way...untill he got gassed in the final round. After getting a takedown, Fitch (who paced himself throughout the fight) saw the opening, and secured the triangle choke, forcing GSP too tape with less than MINUTE TO GO!

Winner: Jon Fitch via submission (4:08 in rd. 5) *DECENT*

In his post-fight interview, Fitch said that he is "Ready to shut Koshcheck up!"

Financial figures:

  • 2.9 million dollars generated at the gate

  • 2.5 million in PPV revenue

  • Show rating: Poor

Hey man, Your UFC Dinasty is total awesomness! I really love the layout and everything, but can I advice you about some Improvements.

1. Make an free-signing day where users of forum would post their fighters, so you put them into one show, and the most promising ones you leave in UFC.

2. Sign some guys like: J.Shields, King Mo and Japan Talents, try with promoting Jose Aldo to fight in your Lightweight.

PS. Please keep this active )))))))

3. Your TUF is great. Just maybe put some pictures of fighters on one side for GSP and other for Fitch. Eliminated put crossed what you can do by editing in paint.

THANKS FOR READING.

Jon Anik sits down with newly crowned Welterweight Champ, Jon Fitch

Anik: Jon, first off, welcome. You gotta be on top of the world right now.

Fitch: Oh man, it's a great feeling. I mean, never would I thought I'd have this belt when I started on this road to get here. It's great.

Anik: Now, it's clear that you were down on the score cards going into the last round against GSP, what did your corner tell you, and what was going through your mind?

Fitch: They told me I had to knock him out. I couldn't let the fight go to the judges. I knew trying to tag him with the right punch was going to be tough, so I knew I just had to let the fight play out untill I got the chance too make a move, and I did.

Anik: Josh Kosh-

Fitch: He's a punk...haha, I can't wait too fight him.

Anik: Alright, so much for that question. When can we expect that fight too happen?

Fitch: Whenever Dana wants too announce it. I can promise one thing, I'm meeting with the doctors next week, the second they give me the opportunity too train again, I'm back in the gym getting ready.

Anik: I think I speak for the MMA world when I say we can't wait for that fight too happen. Thanks, Jon.

Fitch: Thank you.

You are aware that Koscheck and Fitch are good friends in real life, right? While not a big deal regarding your Dynasty, depending on what Mod you're using, that may or may not dictate if the two can fight or not. I'm sure you made the proper edits, though.

All in all, TUF is a neat idea. Your MMA Live report reminds me of my old old UFC Diary that I used to do. Keep up the good work, sir.

Great job on using all the feedbacks, great card Silva - Sonnen,

BTW I have one more feedback :D

1. Make an ´´around the globe´´ Show where an guy of your choose reviews events, signings and rumours, of all Organization in the world (in-game ofc)

BTW. Will you post UFC Fight Night, and UFC Versus events? What about creating an of your own?

Greetz

Heres my prediction

Caol Uno (25-12-5) [3-4-2] vs. Fabricio Camoes (10-4-1) [0-0-1] ----- Fabricio Camoes WIN

Jamal Patterson (6-2) [1-0] vs. Amir Sadollah (3-2) [3-2] ---------- Amir Sadollah WIN

1) I'm thinking about doing that type of summary show. I want to focus more on UFC first, than expand.

2) Yup, I'll do Fight Nights. I was going too do one, but I counted The Ultimate Finale as a fight night, so I'm just waiting for my next one (in London.)

As for the show, I'm looking for big wins from Patterson. He's kind of the token TUF guy who didn't win the show, but earned the contract off of potential, then earns his spots.

The UFC is proud too announce the signings/re-signings of the following fighters:

-Mamed Khalidov

  • The Light Heavyweight has been making a name for himself over-seas for a while now. His record stands at 21-3-1, and has yet to lose a fight since 2005. MMA Live on ESPN 2

Anik: Welcome back, once againt too MMA Live! I'm joined with my good pal, Kenny Florian, and our special guest today...often immitated, never duplicated, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson! Welcome too the show, Rampage!

Rampage: Good too be here.

Anik: Alright fellas, let's get into it. We saw Jon Fitch upset GSP at UFC 112, with UFC 113 right around the corner, will we see an upset of epic perportions like we did a few weeks ago?

Kenflo: First off, that triangle was perfectly executed from Fitch. Now, if you're hinting at Sonnen beating Silva...keep dreaming. We had Penn on this show saying Belfort would shock the world and beat Silva...and Anderson ran him clean into the ground. I don't see this changing with Chael Sonnen.

Rampage: I agree. Silva is so quick, so lethal. Sonnen, I love ya buddy...but get that hospital bed ready.

Anik: Switching gears for a minute, I have been told that the UFC has announced UFC 114 in July...Machida verse Couture. Rampage, as one of the top fighters in that division, you must take great interest in this title fight.

Rampage: Of course I do. Beating the un-beaten 'Dragon' or beating the Michael Jordan of this sport will only make me look better *Flashes the classic Rampage ear-to-ear smile.*

Kenny: I love this fight. Couture showed us he still has it with his win over Rich Franklin. This will determine if Machida is the real deal, or it will just solidify the mythical career of Randy 'The Natural' Couture.

Anik: Kenny, I have too ask you specifically...BJ Penn is looking for an opponent. He wants to fight you, however with the recent addition of Miguel Torres, that leaves the possible match-up between you two in doubt. Thoughts?

Kenny: Torres is a great fighter, it's evident with his 38 wins. However, I don't like when people enter the UFC and get the big shot at the title in their first fight. If they lose, then they fall by waist side. I feel I deserve that shot. Let Torres knuckle up with [Gray] Maynard or Diego [sanchez.] The top of the lightweight division is so close in talent, that you can't make the wrong choice for who BJ will get too fight. I just feel it's my time right now.

Rampage: I agree. The UFC goes out, gets some of these guys, and expects magic off the bat. It's a different pace, different speed, different rules...let 'em adapt first. Especially for a guy like Torres, who is making a weight class jump. Let him get a fight or two in before he gets a title shot.

Anik: That's it for this episode of MMA Live. On behalf of Kenny Florian and Rampage Jackson, thank you.

*As camera begins too fade out, we hear Rampage yell...*

Rampage: GO SEE THE NEW A-TEAM MOVIE!!!

UFC 113: Silva vs. Sonnen

Spike TV Prelims:

Caol Uno vs. Fabricio Camoes

-The crowd had a good vibe for this one. It went the distance, with a few bright spots, but nothing too outstanding. Uno outlasted Camoes in this one.

Winner: Caol Uno via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *AVERAGE*

Jamal Patterson vs. Amir Sadollah

-Amir picked apart the bigger Patterson with some brutal leg-kicks in the first round, and Patterson felt them big time. These slowed down Patterson for the rest of the fight, as Amir got the win.

Winner: Amir Sadollah via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *AVERAGE*

----------------------------------------

Dale Hartt vs. Jeremy Stephens

-The little guys put on a fast paced fight, getting the crowd into it, and hyped for the main card. After splitting the first two rounds, Lil' Heathen took it too the ground, and GnP'd Hartt for the win.

Winner: Jeremy Stephens via. TKO (3:14 in rd. 3) *GOOD*

Kimbo Slice vs. James McSweeney

-Little-to-no ground game was expected in this one, and the fans go the slug fest they wanted. Kimbo landed a BOMB on McSweeney and rocked him, but his lack of ground game hurt him, and McSweeney got back up. Little flurries of punches led McSweeney too the victory.

Winner: James McSweeney via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *GOOD*

Chuck Liddell vs. Jon Jones

-Wow. I think the general feeling after this one was we saw the end of a legacy. Jones came out a spit-fire, avoided a jab, landed some shots, then dominated The Iceman on the ground. He got the back, and submitted the man himself. The rise of a new star begins as the sun starts too set.

Winner: Jon Jones via. submission (2:36 in rd. 1) *FANTASTIC*

Co-Main Event:

Paulo Thiago vs. Matt Hughes

-Thiago took it too the ground, but Hughes defended the attacks. Right off the bat in the 2nd round, Thiago tagged Hughes on the chin, and then unloaded some major shots causing a stoppage.

Winner: Paulo Thiago via. TKO (0:24 in rd. 2) *GREAT*

Main Event: Middleweight Title fight

Anderson Silva © vs. Chael Sonnen

-Muay thai clinch + Knee + Sonnen's face = KO victory for The Spider.

Winner: Anderson Silva via. KO (1:32 in rd. 1) *GREAT*

Financial figures:

  • 3.7 million dollars made at the gate

  • 3.5 million dollars made in PPV revenue

  • Show rating: Fantastic

Fight Night Live: Bisping vs. Grove

Phil Davis vs. Daniel Roberts

-Both men put their undefeated record on the line in this one. Both showed skill, however, it was Phil Davis who had the advantage, and walked away with a victory via rear naked choke.

Winner: Phil Davis via. Submission (4:54 in rd. 1) *GREAT*

Dustin Hazelett vs. Brad Blackburn

-After a good technical battle, Hazelett walked away with the victory due to an armbar.

Winner: Dustin Hazelett via. Submission (4:36 in rd. 1) *FANTASTIC*

Mustapha Al Turk vs. Mirko Cro Cop

-A pretty active fight that had the crowd cheering for a fair amount of time. Cro Cop took control of the final 2 rounds, taking away the victory.

Winner: Mirko Cro Cop via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *DECENT*

Takanori Gomi vs. Joe Stevenson

-A pretty bleh fight with nothing too special. Gomi got the UD.

Winner: Takanori Gomi via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *DECENT*

Maint Event:

Michael Bisping vs. Kendall Grove

-The fans were let down when the fight was kind of lame...they were even further let down that Bisping lost.

Winner: Kendall Grove via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *POOR*

UFC joins forces with ESPN!

The UFC is proud too announce that due to their recent splitting of ways with Spike TV, they have reached an agreement with ESPN. The deal is worth up too 8 shows, between 4-to-5 fights per show, and is going to have a prime time slot as well.

Dana White released this statement:

It was great working with Spike TV, they gave us a great chance too show the United Stats what MMA is all about. However, this deal with ESPN is arguably the greatest thing for this company, and this sport. ESPN reaches a vast amount of sport fans, and we can only hope that this great sport of MMA grows. -A few good moments, nothing too special. Belcher wins.

Winner: Alan Belcher via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *DECENT*

Winner: Daniel Puder via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *GOOD*

Winer: Cain Velasquez via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *DECENT*

Main Event: Light Heavyweight Title Fight

Lyoto Machida © vs. Randy Couture

-Couture looked GREAT in this one. He took a brutal punch, but shook it off, only to TKO The Dragon!

Winner: Randy Couture via. TKO (4:00 in rd. 3) *FANTASTIC*

Rogan approaches Couture, who has his newly crowned title around his waist.

Rogan: Randy Couture...lookin' better than ever!

Randy: Thank you, Joe.

Couture: Whose next on the list?

Randy: Well, Joe...this was it. I told myself, no matter the outcome, tonight would be my curtain call but I didn't want too tell anyone cause then that would be all they talk about. But, this was the last time I step foot in this cage as a fighter.

*Chants of "Ran-dy! Ran-dy! Ran-dy!" fill the arena.*

Randy: Thanks too Dana, thank you Joe Silva, thank you UFC. Thank you Lyoto, Chuck, Tito, Brock...everyone that helped me get where I am today. Thanks too my trainers...and of course, thank you too the UFC fans!

A teary eyed Couture shares a big hug with his corner men as the show ends.

Dana White address the LHW situation

Randy Couture retired as the champ. Due to this, the title has since been vacated. Everyone is talking who should take the title, or what two men should fight for it. Arguably, this division is the deepest in the UFC, so we only felt there is one way too handle this.

So, at UFC 115, we will have a 4-Man tournament for the title. Meaning the winners of the first two fights, will fight again in the main event for the title. Rampage Jackson will fight Forrest Griffin, and Rashad Evans will square off with Shogun Rua.

By nights end, we will know who the new champion is.

UFC 115 is as followed:

Spike TV Prelims:

Alexander Gustafasson vs. Eliot Marshall

Cole Miller vs. Evan Dunham

-----------------------------------

Roy Nelson vs. Todd Duffee

Anthony Johnson vs. Mick Swick

Match #1

Rashad Evans vs. Maurico Rua

Match #2

Rampage Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin

Main Event: Light Heavyweight Title Fight

Match 1 winner vs. Match 2 winner

-Another dud fight.

Winner: Todd Duffee via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *VERY POOR*
