  • Both Jon Fitch and Josh Koshcheck have hit the gym too train hard for their Welterweight title fight, however, plans my have been de-railed. While training, Koshcheck said he felt a pop in his right shoulder. It was worse than he thought. His camp didn't give the details, but Koshcheck will require surgery, forcing him too pull out of the fight. It is expected that Paulo Thiago will take his place and fight Fitch.

  • The UFC is working towards a BJ Penn-Miguel Torres fight taking place in Hawaii. They are getting the paper work done, trying to get it set up for mid/late December. The lightweight title will be on the line in this one. Kenny Florian will face the winner sometime next year in another title fight.

I think you should really put up these matches:

Jon Jones vs Ryan Bader

Chris Tuscherer vs Roy Nelson

Goran Reljic vs Kendall Groove

Mohhammad Lawal (King Mo) vs Rashad Evans

Mirko Crocop vs Gabriel Gonzaga (The rematch, probably a good co-main event)

Rampage visits Brazil

<img src=http://lordn.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/rampage-jackson2.jpg>

In a recent trip too Brazil, Rampage decided to make a mini-video blog of his time in Brazil.

While walking down the street after eating lunch, someone yells out "Go Silva!" Rampage smiles, then looks at the camera:

See, I'm in Anderson's backyard, I'm on his swing set. All he's doing is sitting in his house afraid cause I'm like the neighborhood bully that use to steal his lunch money. He's worried I'll jump him and scrape his knees. I have the neighborhood kids all playin' wiffle ball in the streets, but he won't play cause he always strikes out.

Anderson, you're afraid! Come out and play with us. I won't hurt you...for now hahahahaha.

We get a break from the action, and we see Joe Rogan with Rampage on his left, and Anderson Silva (with his translater) on his right.

Rogan: I'm here with two champions, Rampage Jackson and Anderson Silva! *Crowd cheers* Rampage, you just won your title...whose next on the list?

Rampage: Whoever wants too be another victim! *Crowd cheers*

Rogan: Haha, alright. Anderson, you've had a dominant run, and no one is close too you right now. What's next for you? *Translator speaks too Silva, and vise versa.*

Silva: I'm ready for any challenge that the UFC wants to throw at me. Whoever it may be, I'll run them into the ground...even Rampage. *Crowd cheers and Rampage takes the mic.*

Rampage: Watch what you ask for Alvin and the Chipmonk...I'll make you cry worse than Tim Tebow in college! *Crowd cheers. Translator talks too Silva, he responds.*

Silva: That's all you do is act for the cameras, stop being an actor and be a man for once! *Crowd cheers*

Rogan: Uh oh!

*Silva takes a swig of water, swishes it around, then spits it towards Rampages' feet. Once he does this, all hell breaks loose and Jackson charges Silva and the two crews get into a huge shoving match and the cameras cut away before anything too drastic can be seen. Cameras zoom in on a very shocked/upset Dana White Rogan is back cage side.*

Rogan: Wow, I don't even know what too say, that was...

Mike: Well Joe, one thing is for sure...we haven't seen, or heard the last of this situation.[/Quote]

First of all, this isn't pro wrestling, second of all, Anderson would never do that, NO fighter is stupid enough to do that.

Aaron Simpson sees fight at 117 as career-defining moment

<img src=http://gdjiujitsu.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/simpsonavellanwec36_5598.jpg>

The rise of the 35 year-old hasn't been noted. He didn't get a win over a big star. He didn't get the upset win for the title. But he's been working harder than anyone in that division. Simpson has strung together four good wins in a row (Ed Herman, Tom Lawlor, DrewMcFedries, Nate Quarry) and sees Yushin Okami as another big-potential win.

Six years younger, and much more experienced, Okami hasn't faught in over a year. He last lost too Chael Sonnen at UFC 104. Okami has said to be more focused than ever, and isn't ready to give Simpson the push he is looking for.

"Yushin doesn't see this going past round one," and insider told us. "He's looking for the knockout." However, with a great chin like Simpson, it may be hard for the 29 year-old to get the KO he wants.

"Aaron is ready for anything, but is also expecting the unexpected," one of Simpson's trainers over at The Armory told us. "If Yushin wants too throw fists, then Aaron is ready. If he wants to take it too the ground, Aaron is ready. He knows this is a big fight, he isn't about to lose it."

ESPN Prelims:

Jason Young vs. Andre Winner

-A grappling based fight with little action in terms of striking going on. Nothing too exciting in this one.

Winner: Andre Winner via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *AVERAGE*

Brian Foster vs. Jamal Patterson

-Coming off a loss, Patterson looked good in this fight. He dictated the pace of the fight, both on the feet and on the ground. He had good takedowns, and eventually finished it with an arm-triangle.

Winner: Jamal Patterson via. Submission (3:14 in rd. 3) *GOOD*

------------------------------------------

Eliot Marshall vs. Keith Jardine

-Marshall was looking too establish himself, and Jardine was looking too save himself. Taking those into account, everyone expected a slug fest. After a good back-and-forth boxing match in round 1, Marshall caught The Dean of Mean with a brutal shot to the jaw getting the KO victory.

Winner: Eliot Marshall via. KO (0:50 in rd. 2) *GOOD*

Aaron Simpson vs. Yushin Okami

-A vital fight in the middle weight division, both needed the win. After a prediction of a 1st rd. KO, this one went the distance and was a ground game. Okami looked for the submission, but the A-Train did a good job of preventing it.

Winner: Aaron Simpson via. UD (5:00 in rd. 3) *AVERAGE*

Co Main Event:

Junior dos Santos vs. Frank Mir

-After dos Santos controled the fight, Mir wound up getting his back, locking in the rear naked choke.

Winner: Frank Mir via. Submission (3:59 in rd. 2) *FANTASTIC*

Main Event: Lightweight Title Fight

BJ Penn © vs. Miguel Torres

-Torres was agressive in the first round. Early in the 2nd, he shot for the takedown, only to catch a straight punch, rocking him. Penn rushed over and landed a hammer-fist right on the chin, kocking Torres out cold.

Winner: BJ Penn via. KO (0:40 in rd. 2) *GREAT*

<img src=http://thegarv.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/Fitch-Thiago.jpg>

After their battle at UFC 100, Jon Fitch and Paulo Thiago are slated too battle again. This, however, the stakes are a little high than before. Fitch is going to be defending his Welterweight title for the first time since upsetting GSP back at UFC 112.

"I'm more than ready," Fitch said of his fight with Thiago. "We were prepping for Koshcheck, but things happen, it's life. I know Paulo will bring his A-game and try his best to take my title...I can't let that happen."

In preperation for his big title fight, Paulo Thiago and team members Big Nog, Little Nog, and Demian Mia have up-rooted camp for the next month, and moved it too Clevland, Ohio, where the fight will be taking place.

"It helps prepare me mentaly," Thiago told mmajunkie.com. "With everyone here with me, supporting me...it makes me feel like they believe in me. Having people put stock into me makes me want too win so badly. I want that belt come January."

A rematch of their TUF 3 finale, this should be an intense fight. With Grove recently beating Michael Bisping, and Herman winning against Alan Belcher, both are looking too continue their success.

Brendan Schaub (6-1) [2-1] vs. Stefan Struve (20-3) [4-1]

A vital fight between two up-and-coming Heavyweights, this should be a good battle. Will the 6'10" Struve use his height to his advantage, or will the surging-Schaub fight for the W?

Caol Uno (26-12-5) [4-4-2] vs. Gleison Tiabu (20-6) [6-4]

The buzz around Tiabu is growing amongst UFC officals. Can he prove himself against the cage vet, Uno?

Co-Main Event:

Sean Sherk (33-4-1) [7-4] vs. Diego Sanchez (21-3) [10-3]

With BJ Penn retaining his title, you would have to believe that he is keeping a close eye on this fight.

Main Event: Welterweight Title Fight

Jon Fitch © (22-3) [12-1] vs. Paulo Thiago (14-1) [4-1]

Coming off of the historical upset of GSP, Fitch looks to show he is a true champ by beating Thiago. Paulo is looking to get revenge on Fitch for beating him at UFC 100. Expect a great fight.
