Raphael is more of a natural heel (His heel performance stats are 90%, while his Face performance stats are 50%.), and so I gave him this boyband gimmick. The way I see it Nero is trying to market him to the female fans of RIPW. However, the vast majority of the crowd is male. Therefore, they hate his guts because he comes out singing the Backstreet Boys song off key and he is a pretty boy.

 

That's quite golden. :D

While I am thinking about it, I just wanted to explain Brian Cash-Man's name to those readers that might not understand it due to not following baseball. Brian Cashman is the General Manager of the New York Yankees.

 

With that being the case, I constantly hear Red Sox fans say that he sucks as a G.M. and the only reason why his track record is good is because he has the money to go out and buy what ever player he wants. With that in mind I came up with the Brian Cash-Man character. He is what the Red Sox fans think of the real life Brian Cashman, I guy who buys the best talent possible in order to win championships.

 

With this diary being based in my home state and with RIPW making trips up to Boston, I thought he would be a great heel manager. Because I am pretty sure that this gimmick would work in real life.:D

Great show, BHK!

 

Sucks to hear that Raphael didn't do to well with the Boston crowd. I don't know why, but, I've always had a soft spot for him in most personal SE games; mostly because he's the perfect up-and-coming pretty boy (A persona that can go either way as it pertains to disposition thankfully). Either way, great work going into this one! :D

 

Speaking as an Old-School wrestling kind of guy I've always liked Raphael too- he's got good skills for a young guy, an interesting character and you can push him as the good-looking young babyface if you work at it (think Rockn' Roll Express or The Rockers). But yeah, he's a better heel and really should be in that spot. Still, what can you do?

I thought of a Midnight Rockers/Rock 'n' Roll Express type deal for him. However, I just could not find a fellow pretty boy that I liked enough to put into a tag team with him. Maybe when he and the promotion gain more popularity I might revist it.

 

I am trying not to hire anybody with popularity over twenty in the US so it limits who can actually work for the company. Also, it keeps me from doing my tiny object signings. Basically what I end up doing when I play the game is I see a wrestler and think cool I want to use him or her. And then I sign them and never use them.

 

Then my promotions become bloated with workers that I do not need. I have an MAW game going that is a complete and utter mess because I signed way to many workers.:D

Sue’s Superstar of the Month!

 

 

Sue Danes: Wud up RIPW fans! It’s your girl Sue Danes here and it is that time of the month again, you know when I interview an RIPW superstar! My guest this month is Cowboy Stuart Ferdinand! Come on in Stuart…

 

[unlike last month, this month‘s interview appears to be taking place right after Stuart‘s match with Jebadhiah because Stuart is still in his wrestling gear and he is covered in sweat. Sue looks a little uncomfortable standing next to him and it would appear that she finds him to be gross.]

 

 

Stuart Ferdinand: First of all, you don’t address me as Stuart! We are not on a first name basis missy. If you must address me, you shall call me The International Superstar Cowboy Stuart Ferdinand!

 

[sue gives Stuart a dirty look and says:]

 

Sue Danes: Um whatever dude, that is like a really long name to remember so I just will call you CSF all right?

 

[stuart rolls his eyes and shakes his head in disappointment at this comment.]

 

Stuart Ferdinand: You see it is the general lack of respect from ignorant Americans such as yourself that makes me long for the great country of Japan and the respectful people who call that country their home…

 

[sue sees where this diatribe is going and she wants no part of it. She decides to ask her next question to keep the conversation on point.]

 

Sue Danes: Well funny that you should mention Japan, well actually it is not all that funny because you talk about Japan all of the time dude…anyway I have a question from RIPW.com. The question is from e-a-y-r-a-g-t who is writing to us from England, he asks…

 

Stuart Ferdinand: Whoa, whoa, whoa hold your horses there for a minute missy. What the hell kind of name is eyerat? How do you even pronounce it? What the hell does it mean?

 

Sue Danes: Well actually, I don’t think you can pronounce it…anyway, his question is, "Having spent most of your wrestling career in Japan, how did Jebadiah compare with some of the greats you have wrestled?"

 

[A huge smile comes across Stuart‘s face as he strokes his beard. He then nods his head and begins to speak.]

 

Stuart Ferdinand: I must say that is actually a great question. And it makes sense that it would be a great question because the person asking the question is not from America! You see the people in England have respect for their international superstars they…

 

[sue starts to tap her leg rather angrily; she looks pissed that Stuart has once again gone on yet another anti-American rant.]

 

Sue Danes: Um…like…could you just answer the question that was asked dude?

 

Stuart Ferdinand: Fine, to answer your question, you can’t compare wrestling that clumsy oaf to wrestling anyone from Japan. You see over there people treat the sport with respect, people honor their opponents. What they don’t do is nearly kill them like Jebadiah did to me tonight.

 

The guy would never be allowed to step one foot in a Japanese wrestling ring. Heck they would even allow him to set up the ring! I got some career advice for Jebadiah, go back to the farm and shovel horse crap, ride in your horse and buggy, and build some barns…because you aint cut out for wrestling son!

 

[sue‘s mouth is open because she is shocked at what she just heard.]

 

Sue Danes: Um…that was like totally not cool what you just said there. Anyway, this is my final question of the night…

 

Stuart Ferdinand: Thank god…

 

[sue shoots Stuart a dirty look before continuing.]

 

Sue Danes: You always wear a cowboy hat when you come down to the ring, are you a real cowboy? Or are you a poser like former President George W. Bush? Or are you a current member of the Village People?

 

[stuart balls up his fists and a look of anger spreads across his face.]

 

Stuart Ferdinand: Missy, you’re lucky that I don’t hit women. Cause if I did I would have just dropped you right there and then for asking me a question like that…

 

[stuart then storms off muttering various obscenities under his breath about Sue. Sue has a bit of a sadistic smile on her face because she just managed to fluster Stuart.]

 

Sue Danes: All righty then…well that is all for this month, I hope you tune in next month when I interview my next superstar of the month. Until then, I hope you all have a kick ass month! See you all laters!

 

[sue blows a kiss at the camera and walks off camera.]

 

occ: The bit about eayragt's user name was a joke. Everyone is always asking him how to pronounce his user name and what does his user name mean. I thought it would be funny to inculde that in Stuart's response.

I am just glad you liked the interview and were not offended by the joke.

 

Got a bit behind with my reading here, but I'm caught up and I enjoyed reading that interview. I like Ferdinand's character.

 

Thank you, and I pretty much stole the whole interview with a superstar thing from your last diary, so I am glad you liked it.

Boston Brawl just finished a few minutes ago and overall I thought it was a slight improvement over our previous show. That does not mean that I was very happy with the show, because I was not. However, like I said it was a bit of an improvement over our previous show and that is all I can ask for.

 

I really liked how Too Hot got the fans behind him during his ring entrance. I think this kid has star written all over for him and so it was cool to see the fans take to him. Sadly, this fan reaction seemed to die down when he and Kintaro’s match got underway. This bothers me as both these young men have talent galore; I mean one only has to watch their great matches for 4C to realize that. That being said they are just not showing it in RIPW.

 

Kintaro was once again very nervous to be performing in such a big city as Boston. I tried to tell him after the match not to worry. After all, he has wrestled in plenty of big cities in Canada while working for 4C. He said it was different because it has always been his dream to make it in the United States and now that he has his chance, he is wrestling overly cautious. I don’t know what I can tell the kid to get his nerves straight but I’m going to have to find something to say or do to help him.

 

The return of Professor Nero is a bit of a double-edged sword for me. It is great to have him back in front of a live crowd. However, it also sticks because onscreen wise it paints my character into a bit of a corner. What I mean is, my character is supposed to be the onscreen authority figure. With Mycroft back in the fold, my character is basically neutered.

 

My character can’t overrule any decisions he makes because he is the actual owner of the company. Therefore, my character is in a sort of weird limbo. I tried to explain this to Nero, but he would here nothing of it. Upon returning from his Paris vacation, he was adamant about putting himself back in front of the crowd. Therefore, I had to do it because after all he is my boss, storylines be damned.

 

Another thing that Mycroft will not budge on is what to do with Raphael. Before our first show, I begged and pleaded with Mycroft to change Raphael heel. After all the kid is a natural pretty boy heel, all of the male fans hate his guts.

 

However, Mycroft said that there was no way he was willing to make that move. He said that Raphael would remain a face because he is the one wrestler the female fans go gaga for. I tried to explain to him that we do not draw that many female fans, and that our predominately-male crowd hates Raphael guts. This argument fell upon deaf ears as Mycroft had made up his mind and that was that, Raphael for the time being will remain a face.

 

Finally, I will have to say that I was none to pleased about the leaked match results that appeared on RIPW.com. Apparently, the young man who updates our website revealed the results of the Kentucky Bill/Justin Sensitive match much to my chagrin. Once it was made know to us that the match results were revealed we took it down right away.

 

However, the cat was out of the bag and the people knew exactly what was going to happen in that match. This lead to one of the anti-climatic matches of the night because everyone already knew what the results of said match was going to be. I realize everybody makes mistakes and that poor kid did get a severe tongue-lashing from Mycroft, so the whole situation is now water under the bridge.

Okay I did this a little bit in my NYCW diary, I got a limited amount of responses when I used it in that diary. However, I thought I would bring it back from time to time when I have questions such as the one I am about to ask:

I picked Jamie mostly because I believe at this point, another guy with strong performance skills would be very useful to your roster. Sure, ADB is great, but he ends up in Japan rather quickly so it's not a great long term option.
