What is the purpose of the Safety skill?

What is the purpose of the Safety skill? I understand what it is for in the TEW series, but I can't figure out what it is for in the WreSpi series.

As the case is with a number of the skills that seem useless (like Entertainment skills), this is considered by larger promotions (Cult and bigger), when you apply to work for them. Basically, they don't want you injuring their stars, so if you have this skill, they will be more likely to bring you in as a curtain-jerker.

 

So, once you've got your "important" skills up to a decent level, spend a bit of cash on these less important skills, and you'll open more doors.

The seemingly useless skills that you mentioned, Entertainment skills, are probably more needed in promotions that are Sports Entertainment, like WWF. I'm guessing that, although not used or seen by us, that they are used somewhat by the AI, for "promos" (which we don't see), and for "random events" that might occur.
