This summer will see the introduction of Premier League Wrestling, a brand new and exciting concept. The cream of the wrestling industry will compete to become the first ever PLW champions over a gruelling ten weeks schedule. The PLW will, however, be a team based event... and this is where you come in. Eight locations from around the US have been chosen and we want your help coming up with their nicknames. The eight venues are: Detroit New York City Oklahoma City Nashville Santa Fe Atlanta Phoenix Las Vegas Whilst all suggestions are welcome, we are looking for names that evoke the wrestling tradition of each area. It might be inspired by a wrestler from that area, a finishing move, a catchphrase, or a classic match. Perhaps you want to cheer on the Oklahoma Slobberknockers? Or what about the Nashville Piledrivers? Please leave your suggestions below, and be sure to stay glued to the monitor for more information regarding the PLW! Being a fan of the late great Playboy Buddy Rose, who was billed from Las Vegas. I think the Vegas team should be the Playboys. Don't forget Austin Idol's Las Vegas Leglock (Figure 4) either. Detroit have announced that their team will be run by non other than Rick and Scott, The Steiner Brothers! Details are few and far between at the moment but the speculation is that Scott is likely to be running the talent acquisition aspects whilst Rick will be employed in a coaching capacity. THE LAS VEGAS PLAYBOYS THE ATLANTA OLYMPIANS THE DETROIT GREMLINS THE NASHVILLE KINGS We are still looking for a name for New York, Phoenix, Santa Fe and Oklahoma so make sure to put your suggestions below. BREAKING NEWS Another GM has been named, and this time its for the Phoenix based organisation. The deal has not been finalised, but is expected to be completed by the end of the day. Al has already expressed his desire to be involved in the Premier League and is reported to be excited to have the opportunity to work in Oklahoma. This time it's New York, who have just confirmed via their facebook page that their adopted son John "Bradshaw" Layfield has signed a lucrative deal to oversee the New York franchise for the next three years. The Man behind Mamajuana is said to be over the moon. Bradshaw has already reportedly been in contact with several high profile names to help fill out his coaching staff.
