alden Posted June 12, 2010 Share Posted June 12, 2010 BULLETIN -- GRIZZLY SMITH HAS DIED By: Bill Apter 6/12/2010 4:04:17 PM I just received a call that veteran wrestler, booker, promoter, trainer, Grizzly Smith died about 30 minutes ago. The call came from a Smith family member. Grizzly, whose real name is Aurelian Smith Sr., was also the father of Aurelian Jr., better known as Jake "The Snake" Roberts. He is also the father of Rockin' Robin and Sam Houston. Grizzly had been in bad health the past few years and had Alzheimer's disease. He was 78 years old at the time of his death.
