TCW - A Not So Total Wrestling...

Recommended Posts

“Why would I ever agree to this?” The first man said, his eyes focused on the “intruder” into his comfortable world.

“Because you’re a smart business man; because this would be something so compelling that those who dreamt of it would never believed it possible, because you want to thumb your nose to the Eisenverse that has developed.” The second replied, the fire in his eyes clear for all to see.

Only three men are present, only 2 speak.

The third sits motionless, his eyes set dead on the first. They know each other so well, in fact, he probably knew these 2 men more than anyone else in the business.

“I just can’t accept that this would be a good idea. I would essentially be bankrolling your exposure. I don’t see how that’s good business sense.” The first said, his eyes surveying the entire scene, looking for reasons not to trust this wanton “friend”.

“You own it all, you. Not me, not him. Every cent made off the back of this venture would lead to a level of interest not seen for a long, long time. This business has been stale, stagnant. You and I both know there is a breaking point that we would all reach in the end. The question is, are you willing to forgo the inevitable crash this business is coming to in order to force the issue?” He returned, this verbal Tennis match getting more tense by the moment. The first man scratched his stubble covered jaw, his eyes almost glazed at the idea. Could it work? Could it be a legitimately good business decision?

“Alright, say I agree? Say I accept that there are legs to this idea. You agree to sign over all intellectual property to me; you agree to pass everything to my company. What, exactly, is in it for you?”

“You may take the profits, maybe millions off the back of this idea but you will never take away the prestige. That, my friend, will be on me. Both you and I will have a legacy in this business; 2 ideas forged through one company.”

Tommy Cornell and his visitor stared at one another across the desk; two stubborn giants of this industry, trying to gain ground in a deal that was, ironically enough, going to work out great for both. The third man makes no sound, watching the men he’s known for the best part of 15 years try and outmuscle the other.

“Alright…” For the first time, Cornell turns his eyes to the third man in the room and speaks.

“Malice in Wonderland it is; I’ll let Joel know, he’s been itching to find someone to replace him for a long time. It’ll be nice working with you again John.” Smiling, the third man gets to his feet.

“You too Tommy; and by the way, it’s still Nemesis.” Comes the reply from John "Nemesis" Campbell; climbing to his feet from the off-centre chair he extends his hand to Cornell and shakes before looking at the second man who smiles, his internal victory sealed.

<p><span style="font-size:10px;">The next week was a blur for John “Nemesis” Campbell. It was an easy beginning for the former DaVE booker; his role didn’t begin for four weeks until Malice In Wonderland. He had time to uproot himself from his New York home and make the two and half thousand mile move to L.A. The truth was, he didn’t have all that much to move. Saving for his future had been paramount and, as comfortable as he was, he hadn’t been out of the business for long enough to “grow roots”. His marriage to Ashley’s mother had broken down years before and, as great as it was to be able to help his son develop, he hadn’t really adjusted to life away from the road.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

He sunk into the couch located in the lounge of his ready-furnished rented apartment and stared at the TV. In front lay a box, a box that contained the DVD player on which he had planned to play the endless DVD footage of TV shows and matches that had been recorded over the last 6 months. He’d watched from home, of course, but the truth is he’d always had one eye on the TV whilst being distracted by other things; and of course Ash has installed his DVD player in New York, hence the reason this one was still in the box.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

In truth, it wasn’t just the DVD player that had worried him. He’d been sent a laptop by Tommy as a welcome gift; a way to keep in touch while they were on the road, pass along ideas and future signings. Things had changed in the last couple of years, a lot. Back in his DaVE days he’d hand written the card in a notebook and posted the page on the wall on the day of the show. Then he’d spend an hour with each set of workers for each segment explaining how he and Phil wanted things to go down. The background of “Hollywood” involved in TCW hadn’t died when Tommy re-branded the company.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

These days shows were written the day following the last show while memories will still “fresh”. The show would then be forwarded to Tommy to look over and, where appropriate edit. This would then be passed on to the legal department to ensure there were no copyright infringements before being typed up, copied and couriered out to wherever the house show was that evening. Each worker involved would have a personal copy of the work sheet. Some workers had their entire promo scripted out for them, others were given free reign to say what they feel.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

In truth, DaVE had been such a laid back experience. His life was simple, hang out with friends all the week and turn up on show day with his notepad and a pen; these would be his records of storylines and past shows. These days, results would be documented and updated in a company database so bookers and staffers could keep accurate statistics and ensure the same match wasn’t being done to death. He had to admit, he was never one for remembering who fought who on what show 3 months ago. Still, things were so different he hadn’t been sure whether or not he could adapt.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Still, he’d managed to convince TC that TCW needed some feeder companies. Somewhere to send superstars before they move up to the main card. PSW, via his connections with Mitch Naess, and MAW had both been contacted as they promoted a similar style to TCW; both had returned an emphatic yes and both now were available for sending workers to learn. Whatsmore, he’d been able to convince Steve Flash and Larry Wood to take a worker/agent role down in MAW and PSW respectively to train the new breed of TCW worker.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Things were starting to progress quickly; all except the DVD player.</span></p><p> </p><p>

Moved in, DVD installed (thanks to Ash coming to visit) and hours of video watched and John Campbell had his plans installed. The agreements put in place were starting to gain fruition as he filled up the rosters with talented independent superstars and a couple of signings had improved spirits in the company. Feeder feds were always a good thing; a great way of increasing relations with a worker by employing their friends and relatives without clogging up the main roster with workers who are too green. Larry and Steve had fit well into their relative feeder promotions and things were looking good.

One minor error on John’s part had seen the hiring of Teddy Powell who, it quickly became clear, hadn’t solved any past issues with Sammy Bach. As such, the already stable roster member had requested his release from the company. This, it turned out, had been rejected, but options were quickly being established to cool his jets so to speak. Tommy and John had both agreed that a month long vacation with a bonus might help, however it was Joel who suggested releasing Powell from his contract. Whilst this was something John was frustrated to have to do, Bach, at this point, was more important.

Whilst visiting the backstage during the next Tuesday night live show, it became apparent that another problem had risen just less than two weeks short of one of the biggest Pay-Per-Views of the year. Malice in Wonderland had traditionally been the beginning of change, when new things were born out of a new year. Feuds had filtered through from the end of the year, but it was at this Pay-Per-View that things would change all over again; John would see to that.

Or so he thought.

Whilst discussing his plans with Tommy and Joel, the three were approached by a young man named Eric. He was, Tommy explained, from their legal department; for all intents and purposes a gopher and a messenger. His demeanour was clearly uncomfortable as he placed his cell phone back in his pocket. As he approached, he cleared his breath, obviously uncomfortable in the presence of the mass of humanity in front of him.

“What did we miss?” Tommy joked, his hard British accent managing to sound somewhat comforting to a clearly terrified employee.

“Not you, Mr. Cornell…” he stuttered.

“Tommy… Call me Tommy.”

“Not you… Tommy. The legal team has asked me to convey their utmost apologises in a mistake they, themselves, have made in agreeing the renewal of the Pay-Per-View contract. The old contract came up and, in an attempt to take advantage of our new found popularity had changed to one with a wider net. However, it won’t begin until February 1st.” He shuffled his feet, clearly understanding what this would mean.

“Wait a second, are you trying to tell me that one of our biggest Pay-Per-Views of the year is NOT going to seen by anyone!?” Cornell raged; his eyes bulging.

“Tommy calm…” Joel began.

“Don’t tell me to calm down!” Cornell spat.

“Those buyrates are worth MILLIONS, how the hell do you propose we’re going to make up that revenue?! John, I think we’re going to need to cancel some of those deals you’ve…”

“No way…” John said calmly.

“We’ll make up the revenue, Tommy, but if you pull the plug on ideas now, then we wont make a damn cent back. You need to trust my decisions on this.”

Cornell’s eyes glaze over, realising the position he was in. Huge bills for a wellness policy, bigger bills for putting on a huge show that will have little or no effect in the rest of the country. The rest of the afternoon was subdued, Tommy slowly simmering over lost profits (the financial kind, not the music), Joel explaining booking to workers and John left making notes on how he could make some of this money back, how he could creatively keep the company afloat. He remembered back to thinking how different the business was now, especially compared to the DaVE days.

Now, he realised, in some ways they were exactly the same.

“Sammy Bach is officially on vacation…”

I’d asked the question and got the answer I didn’t want. After a rather glaring mistake in contacting Teddy Powell to come to development, Sammy Bach went, for the want of a better word, bat-crap crazy. His meeting with Cornell was essentially to request his release from TCW. We needed guys like Bach, more now than ever, and to be honest I knew it would be a mistake to let him leave. Cornell agreed, which is why he’d given Bach 4 weeks paid vacation and a bonus to spend while he was away. It was a tough call to make, especially considering recent financial blows.

“Yeah, my bad, I’ll cover the cost of his bonus.”

“Don’t be stupid, John, this is business, things happen. It was my choice to try and buy his happiness, I’m just not so sure it’s worked.”

“I assume Joel wont be happy, kind’ve ruins his Triple Threat plans for the Pay Per View.”

“In fairness, after tonight his plans are no longer important; yours are.”

This was, indeed, true. Tonight had been Joel Bryant’s final show. He’d been emotional, spending the whole night at the curtain hugging every single worker that walked back through, giving thanks for the work they’d put in during his booking tenure. This had been emotional for some; him more than any other. This was one of the rare occasions that Tommy had arranged and subsidised accommodation to make sure we were all in the same place. The party had gone on till late and now, he and John were the last sat in front of a fireplace with a good bottle of Brandy talking about what was likely to change.

“Do you think the fans will accept the changes?” He said, lowering his head.

John had forgotten, as always, that wrestlers were fans as well. As such, they have the best ideas about what fans will and will not love. Owners, like Eisen, who have never really been “in the ring” for the want of a better phrase, who have been business men with a little charisma, often think they know what the regular guy wants. That’s why guys like John ran the book, guys like Joel, like Sam did before he left SWF; because they’re immersed in what the fans want.

“Do you think they’ll accept the changes, Tommy? You know as much as I do…” John replied, his eyes fixed on Cornell, although his eyes are still looking down into his, now, much emptier glass.

“I think they’ll like the impact, the change. I think it will make a difference; long term? I don’t know…”

“That’s the good thing about this business, if something doesn’t work, we can write it out. Fan reaction can guide exactly where we go.”

“If the damage hasn’t been done…” Tommy sheepishly replied, clearly doubting Campbell’s plans.

“Tommy, this is your last chance to change your mind. After tonight, plans are in place, plans start to roll… Things will begin to change…” He gestured, hoping beyond hope all of his changes had not pushed Cornell too far.

Tommy grinned, wide from ear to ear.

“Are you kidding me? I’ve not been this excited for a long time…”

Live Sunday, Week 4, January 2010

From The Nevada State Armoury

TCW All Action Championship Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Titles/TCW_AllAction.jpg

Ladder Match

Edd Stone© Vs Aaron Andrews

Over the past month, Aaron Andrews and Edd Stone have engaged in a battle of one-upmanship; neither have really been able to “reach the heights” of victory that they wished to reach in victory, so what better way to settle the score? Malice In Wonderland begins with an intriguing ladder match, a one on one contest that seems to have been lost in the professional wrestling world. This should be an interesting opening contest with both men looking to make an impact.

TCW Tag Team Championship Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Titles/TCW_Tag.jpg

Regular Tag Match

The New Wave© Vs The Machines

Since winning tag team gold, The New Wave have been forced to brush off the advances of the former champions for a rematch. Whilst they have no fear in facing The Machines, their belief that their monopoly on the Tag Team Division should end and, therefore, should lead to them having a renewed wait to get a shot. This dream, it turned out, was no more than pipe. Having won the opportunity to take on the champions, The Machines look to avenge their Tag Title loss as soon as possible.

Regular Singles Match

Koshiro Ino vs Rick Law

Over the last month or so, the unflappable Koshiro Ino has looked to gain advantage against a frustrated Rick Law who seems incapable of getting the best of the Japanese Warrior. Both men will look for this match to catapult them into a position of power with rumours of big changes on their way in TCW. Both will look to catapult their way into stardom with a big victory tonight.

TCW International Championship Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Titles/TCW_International.jpg

Triple Threat Match

Joshua Taylor© Vs Buddy Garner Vs American Buffalo

Over the last month, The American Buffalo has pushed his way into the championship frey with a series of frenzied attacks. He has focused his attacks on Joshua Taylor and the man who was supposed to challenge for the Championship, Sammy Bach. Bach’s injury seemed to force the hand of the TCW board to give The American Buffalo a one on one shot at TCW International Gold, until Buddy Garner forced the champion to tap out in a non-title instalment of this match. The Champion, then, is at a major disadvantage in a match that seems him not needing to lose to be stripped of his title. What’s more, attacks by Buffalo and tapping out to the Garner Achilles lock have left him looking vulnerable.

TCW World Heavyweight Title Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Titles/TCW_World.jpg

Regular Singles Match

Rocky Golden© Vs Sam Keith

Following his victory at the previous Pay Per View, Sam Keith gained the opportunity to face the World Heavyweight Champion at Malice In Wonderland. That Champion, just happened to be Rocky Golden. The wily veteran did his best to get inside the head of the young Champion but, as of yet, has been able to phase the man who holds the gold. Golden, who claims he is named to be a champion, has been unfaltering in his intentions and has made it clear to Keith that he will not back down from any challenge, respect or no respect for his opponent.

Regular Singles Match

Benny Benson Vs Troy Tornado

Since arriving from TCW’s major rival, Benny Benson has found his path to stardom blocked by the self proclaimed “Rock Star” Troy Tornado. Fearing that his place had been taken by a “rebel” from their competition, Tornado has targeted Benson with fury and has been reasonably successful thus far. Benson will look to push on from this feud and elevate himself to the position he envisaged when he jointed TCW.

Regular Singles Match

Eddie Peak Vs Bryan Vessey

Since returning to TCW from Japan, Bryan Vessey has been stalked by the psychotic Eddie Peak, taking beating after beating and being unable to fight back against the frenzied attacks. His opportunity to get revenge comes tonight in a match that forces Peak to stick within the rules or risk loss. Peak, however, has been known to be happy to take a loss in order to play with his food. His actions are not that of impulse, they are thought out and planned which makes this psychotic madman even more dangerous.

Losers forced to disband

Regular Tag Team Match

The Freedom Fighters Vs The Syndicate

Over the last few years, Tommy Cornell has seen his Syndicate group dwindle from an elite group of 5, to just himself and protégé Wolf Hawkins. Following his devastating loss to Rocky Golden, and in turn loss of World Heavyweight Title, Cornell seeked to rebuild his Syndicate group in an attempt to win back the belt. In the way of these plans are Joey Minnesota and Ricky Dale Johnson; two men determined to avoid a repeat of what domination Cornell and his cronies were able to have in the past. As such, this match will see either the end of The Syndication or a new beginning.

He was nervous; for the first time since the closure of Danger and Violence Extreme, he was nervous. His eyes moved over the work sheet for the night, carefully analyzing the results as they went along. Crowd heat, performance, motivation, rebelliousness; all things that would factor into whether or not this night would be a success. Truth be known, every one of the matches on the card had stemmed from the work Joel Bryant had put in over the last month and it was a testament to his attitude and work ethic that the show was solid. Solid, but not outstanding. We’d hardly said two words to one another as match after match ticked past. Edd Stone gaining victory against Aaron Andrews in a ladder match, The Machines beating The New Wave to regain the tag titles; each match punctuated with a question.

“I don’t understand why you put the Machines over The New Wave?” Joel had said as John Anderson stood tall over the fallen Scout. “They’d only held the titles for four months.”

This was true and, despite the fact TCW didn’t exactly have a history of short title reigns, they had been anything but poor champions. It was just that John had felt it was time they moved on. After Brent Hill’s injury, there was a freshness to The Machines that he knew TCW could take advantage of.

“Joel, with all due respect this is my call now. You don’t need to worry about taking the fall for bad choices.” John responded, his eyes still on the script; as such, he didn’t notice the rye smile on Bryant’s face.

“All right, all right... I’ll just watch shall I?” He jokingly responded.

The midcard main event ended with the debut of Greg and Matt Keith who, for what seemingly appeared to be no reason, attacked Rocky Golden. Whilst this may, to the lay person, have looked to be a plan born in the mind of the wily Sam Keith, the look on his face combined with the disqualification it had caused wiped that option clean. John could tell from Joel’s face that he was confused as to why these 2 very green rookies would be given the rub of beating down the Champion was clear, he didn’t ask questions.

Buddy Garner managed to take advantage of American Buffalo’s taunting of the fallen Joshua Taylor to lock in the Achillies Hold he has been so famous for and pick up a shock victory for the TCW International Championship followed by Koshiro Ino gaining a DQ victory against a frustrated Rick Law. Benny Benson “one-upped” Troy Tornado with a quick roll-up pin and Eddie Peak managed to defeat Bryan Vessey quite comfortably.

These decisions had not been in Joel’s plans as, by the time we had reached the Main Event he had left the area to go and find Robert Oxford. Their likely exchange would be one of dissection as they pulled the show apart little by little, picking holes that they could see in the formula. It didn’t matter, not one single part of it mattered. The show had been building towards the Main Event, a fued that had built up over years and years. It had come down to four men, The Syndicate consisting of Wolf Hawkins and the incomparable Tommy Cornell and The Freedom Fighters, Ricky Dale Johnson and Joey Minnesota. These four men made their entrance and now, and only now, did John sit in front of the monitor to watch. He’d enjoyed it all, his nerves tingling as finally... Finally they reached the close of the match.

~

Azaria: Ladies and gentlemen, this match has, thus far, been fantastic!

Rhodes: I’m not sure how much longer The Syndicate will have to toy with the Freedom Fighters!

Silver: Toy with them? I don’t think there’s any toying going on!

All four men are in the ring, Minnesota, who has recently been on an immense losing streak, fighting Cornell, Ricky Dale Johnson fighting Wolf Hawkins. Suddenly, Hawkins is taken over the top rope by RDJ leaving Cornell and Minnesota in the ring!

Rhodes: That’s it, Tommy is about to deliver some Rough Justice!

A thumb to the eye backs of Minnesota! Cornell telegraphs the Rough Ride as Minnesota turns back around once more... Kick to the stomach and... Nothing! Minnesota spins out of the attempted hold, hits a kick to the stomach himself and then hits a Double Arm DDT!

Azaria: MINNESOTA JUST HIT THE MINNESOTA SALUTE! PIN HIM KID! PIN HIM!

Rhodes: He’s not got enough left!

Silver : YES HE HAS!

Minnesota throws his arm over Cornell... 1... 2... 3! The crowd go wild as Joey Minnesota picks up the win for the Freedom Fighters!

Rhodes: NO!

Silver: YES!

Azaria: The Syndicate are done!

Hawkins pulls Cornell out of the ring looking sullen, in fact, looking devastated; Ricky Dale Johnson slides back into the ring, his eyes watering as the end has come. The end of the war, the end of the oppression! The endless and complete victory! Johnson embraces Minnesota before raising his hand in celebration of the new era...

Azaria: What the...

Silver: What’s going on here!?

With his hand still raised, Minnesota had turned back to RDJ and had, without warning, slammed a boot into his gut before hitting him with the Minnesota Salute! The fans go nuts, booing and jeering Minnesota. He stands over RDJ, his eyes fixed on his former partner as a confused looking Cornell and Hawkins return to the ring. Surveying the scene of a fallen Ricky Dale Johnson, Cornell laughed out loud extending his hand to Minnesota. The youngster eyed Cornell, a smile growing on his own face; the reason? Eddie Peak sprinting from the backstage with two Singapore Canes in hand. He slid into the ring behind Cornell and Hawkins before tossing the cane over Cornell’s head. Before the former Syndicate knew what was happening, Peak had struck Hawkins in the back of the head and Minnesota had connected with a shot to Cornell’s skull.

Azaria: I don’t understand this! Peak and Minnesota?!

Silver: What common ground could they have?!

On the outside of the ring, Hawkins is sent shoulder first into the ring post as Minnesota reigns down cane shots on the fallen Cornell. The stunned crowd watched on as Minnesota and Peak suddenly stopped the beating stepping back allowing Cornell to slowly stir. As he does, the crowd pop, not for the fact that Cornell looked to be fighting through the pain, but for the man walking down the ramp.

Azaria: Oh my god… What is HE doing here?!

Silver: Not seen or heard from in almost 3 years!

Rhodes: Never seen in TCW!

Azaria: It’s John “Nemesis” Campbell!!!

Nemesis strides down the ramp way, a steel chair in his hand, a look of burning anger in his eyes. Climbing into the ring, he stands over Cornell, slowly pushing his way up to his knees. Reaching out, he grips the jeans of the newest face in the ring and slowly pulls himself up. Reaching a kneeling position, he looks up into the face of the man behind this attack. The look of shock on his face tied in with the fact that he almost fell back to the mat clearly shows his surprise. Nemesis steps back and lifts the chair up, slowly hovering it, waiting for the right moment. Cornell, unable to move, unable to stop the oncoming storm, waits.

Azaria: COME ON! SOMEONE STOP THIS!

Rhodes: ANYONE!

As Nemesis waits, Wolf Hawkins rushes the ring, clearly in pain. His eyes slightly glazed but making every effort to save his mentor. His intentions are in vain, however, as he is quickly subdued by a huge spine buster. On the outside of the ring RDJ begins to move, only to be quickly surpressed by a boot to the skull from Minnesota. The decimation almost complete, back in the ring, Cornell’s surprise turns to a strange grin. He extends his hand and beckons Nemesis to hit.

Azaria: No...

Rhodes: Someone please...

Silver: Stop this...

Just before the chair is swung, Nemesis can be seen mouthing to Cornell...

Nemesis: Things are about to get Dangerous, Violent and Extreme...

With a grin, the chair swings and the sound of metal on skill rings out. Cornell falls limp, blood starting to spread from a wound on his forehead. The cheers for Nemesis, the hatred for Cornell all seems to disappear, the crowd almost dumbfounded, stand shocked and silent at this end result. Nemesis, Minnesota and Peak take in the atmosphere, ready for the final surprise of the evening...

Azaria: HIM!?

Rhodes: It explains everything!

Azaria: I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS! WHAT DO THEY WANT!?

Stood atop the ramp, slowly bringing his hands together in applause for what he’d witnessed stands the brains, the genius mind behind everything.

Silver: Phil Vibert is here!

Vibert continues to reign in his applause as the Malice In Wonderland fades to conclusion.

~

Backstage, things were wild. Those who had been involved in the closing segment of the evening were still buzzing from the crowd. They had been surprised, shocked and somewhat awed by the events of the evening. The crowd may have been stunned by the eventual outcome, but the turning of Joey Minnesota had been unbelievably hot. Short of throwing garbage in the ring, the fans had made it clear they dispised Minnesota. Despite the positives, John was alone; looking over the card for the next show.

“Congratulations legend.” Cornell said, his eyes fixed on the man he’d known for nearly 15 years. “Looks like you know what you’re doing.”

John smiles, his eyes still fixed on his notebook.

“Let’s hope I’m not pushing too much too far.” He replied, looking over the past and future changes he’d planned.

“Change isn’t always a bad thing... Sometimes, it’s what people need.”

Campbell lifts his head just in time to watch Cornell rejoining the party; the smile crosses his face one more time as he flicks back through the next show one more time.

TCW Presents Total Wrestling kicks off with a recap from last nights Pay Per View highlighting the formation of the DaVE Alliance, Phil Vibert, Nemesis, Joey Minnesota and Eddie Peak along with their devastating attack of Ricky Dale Johnson, Wolf Hawkins and, most sickeningly, Tommy Cornell.

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/JasonAzaria_alt1.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/SaraSilver.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/KyleRhodes_alt1.jpg

Azaria: Welcome everyone to another action pact episode of Total Wrestling!

Silver: That’s right Jason! And after Sunday night, I’m just itching to call my first ever Total Wrestling TV show!

Rhodes: I’m not sure why you’re even here... We were fine as we were...

Azaria: Now then children, play nice! We have a great night of action on the cards tonight, let’s head to ringside for our first ma... Wait... Hold on!

The Explanation...

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/PhilVibert.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/Nemesis.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/JoeyMinnesota_alt5FIN.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/EddiePeak.jpg

As the video comes to an end, the former theme of Dave Danger Zone TV hits, the boos rain down upon the DaVE alliance as Vibert, Nemesis, Minnesota and Peak make their way out to the ring. Minnesota walks ahead of the others with a rather tetchy looking Eddie Peak heading up the rear. Climbing into the ring, it is Phil Vibert that takes the microphone and stands ahead of his former employees.

Vibert: Ladies and gentlemen... We are the DaVE Alliance.

The jeering reaches levels almost unheard previously.

Vibert: Over the last two days, I have been asked the same thing over and over. Why? Why Dave? Why would you come to TCW, why would you give up your position of power in Canada to bring your failed, upstart company back from the dead as a group in TCW? Why would you risk alienating all of those fans that have begged and pled for the return of Danger and Violence Extreme? Whilst I have no need to give you people an explanation, I will anyway, because I can, because I choose to.

The fans show their displeasure at Vibert’s clear disrespect.

Vibert: Unfinished business; unfinished business on every level. Cornell and Nemesis, Eddie Peak, Joey Minnesota, all of these careers and these issues should have been made and broken on DaVE TV. Not here, not in TCW. I made these men, I gave them their opportunity and now? Now I am calling in the favours I have built up over the years. Understand, these men aren’t here because they owe me, they’re here because they listened to me. That is all I asked for; a chance, an opportunity to convince them. Thus far? I have been very successful in that act.

Grinning out at the fans, Vibert continues.

Vibert: Ladies and gentlemen, we have Nemesis; a creative mind, almost on my level of genius; a man who was forced to leave this business because he had no-where to go. Eddie Peak, a man so feared and reviled here in TCW it had been left down to me to control him from a far, to convince him not to do anything rash. That ends now, the shackles are off. I have no intentions of stopping Eddie Peak from wreaking havoc. Finally, the man who has finally stepped out of the shadows that falls from the heights of Ricky Dale Johnson. Not only was Joey Minnesota able to show his out and out devotion to our cause, but he was able to destroy the untouchable aura of RDJ himself.

Vibert runs his hand over his goatee, extending his hand to present the group of men behind him.

Vibert: This is the DaVE Alliance, and it is just the beginning. We shall and will be more, and no man can stand in our way...

As Vibert speaks, he’s cut off. A very mixed reaction is clear for the appearance on stage of...

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/WolfHawkins.jpg

Wolf Hawkins. Still wearing his Syndicate suit and sun glasses, Hawkins looks intense, removing the glasses and placing them in his pocket.

Hawkins: No-one? Well you made sure of that didn’t you Phil? The one man who could stand in your way was Tommy Cornell and you made short work of him. Now you can get your feet under the table before he comes back. That’s right, Tommy’s not here tonight; a Grade two concussion at your hands Nemesis. After careful consideration I thought, what the hell, I’d make the effort and be the first man to stand in your way.

Lowering his microphone, Hawkins garners little more reaction than a grunt of laughter from Vibert and grins from his cohorts.

Vibert: You? The puppy dog barking from behind his mentor? I don’t think so cub. If I were you I’d stalk off to the back with my tail between my legs because you don’t want any part of this. Especially considering Tommy’s not here to protect you.

The grin on Hawkins’ face falters for just a moment before he lifts the mic to his lips.

Hawkins: You underestimate me, Phil. But I have to admit, the odds are a little off tonight. As much as I would like to step into the ring with Joey and Eddie, without Tommy I am at a disadvantage...

The smile returns...

Hawkins: Or so you would think...

Suddenly, the crowd pop. Why? Because the music of one...

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/RickyDaleJohnson.jpg

Ricky Dale Johnson hits. The former TCW World Heavyweight Champion makes his way out to the ramp with a microphone in his hand.

Johnson: Joey, over the last 2 years I had come to believe that the situation between ourselves and The Syndicate had evolved from a union of necessity to a friendship, but evidently I was wrong. We’d done it, Joey, finally. Everything we’d worked towards, everything we’d hoped for had come to fruition; and at your hands! You’d beaten Cornell, The Syndicate was done. You had the world at your feet and then? Then you betrayed me. Tonight kid, you will know what revenge feels like first hand. Tonight kid, I start a new path on my road as The Freedom Fighter.

RDJ drops his microphone and his music plays as a look of forced nonchalance is placed on the faces of each of the DaVE Alliance members.

Azaria: Well that was interesting! And it looks like we have our Main Event match set for tonight!

Silver: Could this be another alliance in the making or the making of a big mistake?

Rhodes: I don’t know who to cheer for... I love Wolf, I hate RDJ!

Silver: You could always cheer for the hottest... Then again, with Wolf and Joey on opposite sides, I’m not sure I can call it...

Azaria: Ladies and gentlemen, don’t go anywhere! We’ll be back after these messages!

Regular Singles Match

Buddy Garner© Vs Freddy Huggins

Following a surprise victory at Malice In Wonderland, Buddy Garner made short work of his first title defence taking on Freddy Huggins. Using his skill and MMA background, Garner was able to quickly lock in the Garner Tendon Hold forcing Freddy Huggins to tap out in almost record time.

Winner by submission and still TCW International Champion – Buddy Garner

Azaria: Buddy Garner looking to prove not only is he dominant, but he's a fighting Champion!

Rhodes: That could prove to be his downfall, he needs to be careful not to over expose himself.

Silver: He needs to make sure he doesn't spread himself too thin, I don't think exposing himself would be a problem.

A begrudging save...

Post match as Buddy Garner celebrates in the middle of the ring, a figure sprints to the ring.

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/AmericanBuffalo.jpg

Sliding inside, Buffalo waits for Buddy Garner to turn around only to be caught with a big boot to the skull. His arms in the air, celebrating and mocking the fallen Champion, Buffalo fails to notice the man who is perched on the top rope... Buffalo turns around as a dropkick connects.

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/JoshuaTaylor.jpg

Joshua Taylor's dropkick sends Buffalo through the middle ropes as Buddy Garner gets to his feet looking groggy. Feeling a two on one fight would not be beneficial, American Buffalo backs up the ramp as Garner picks up his International Championship. Garner turns to Joshua Taylor and slowly extends his hand; Taylor refuses, obviously still unhappy with the outcome of their Pay-Per-View match-up.

Azaria: That was in an interesting situation. Taylor wanted a piece of Buffalo, he didn't want to save Garner.

Silver: And why would he after the sneaky backstabbing way Garner won the championship.

Rhodes: It was completely within the rules! It was intelligent!

Azaria: Now I KNOW it wasn't completely right if you agree with it! Ladies and gentlemen, stay where you are, we'll be right back!

Commercial

We return from the commercial break where the next match-up is about to get underway.

Regular Singles Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/BryanVessey.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/RobertOxford.jpg

Bryan Vessey Vs Robert Oxford

Following a defeat at the hands of Eddie Peak, Bryan Vessey looked to move on with a match against Tag Team Specialist, Robert Oxford. The man who returned from Japan looked intent on moving on from matches against psychotic mad men into a match with a, what can only be called, much weaker opponent. Oxford looked to use his veteran wiles to outmanoeuvre the technician, but his attempts were in vain. Bryan Vessey gained victory with a top rope belly to belly suplex and pinfall.

Winner by pinfall - Bryan Vessey

Azaria: Confident performance from Vessey there Sara.

Silver: Definitely, after a somewhat poor showing against Eddie Peak on Sunday he needed a good outing.

Rhodes: Defeat against a Demon has a way of shifting ones priorities.

The Disrespectful Pass...

As Vessey makes his way up the ramp, the music of Benny Benson hits...

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/BennyBenson.jpg

Benson walks past Vessey without even making eye contact. He rolls into the ring and picks up a microphone.

Benson: What's up Denver!?

The crowd go wild for Benson.

Benson: I'm out here tonight to address the man who beat me on Sunday... Troy Tornado; the man who has tried with every fibre of his being to make life difficult for me. Troy, tonight I'm here to...

Voice: Not even a glance Benny?

Benson turns his head to find Bryan Vessey back at ringside, a mic in his hand. The Vessey climbs the steps and pulls himself into the ring standing eye to eye with Benson.

Vessey: Is that what I've become? Just another face here in TCW? Months of being the target of Eddie Peak's frenzied attacks and the new guy doesn't even show me enough respect to look me in the eye? You couldn't extend the courtesy of letting me leave before you come out. Is that respect?

Benson shakes his head, unsure about where this is coming from.

Vessey: I like what I see in you Benny, I really do. I respect that you're coming out here and want to get in Troy Tornado's face. I respect that you have issues that you wish to solve but the problem is that you seemingly don't respect me. Since I came back here I've been toyed with, played with all because I dared walk away from this company back in the day. You flounce in and you're the best thing since sliced bread?

It's Vessey's turn to shake his head.

Vessey: I just don't get it; what exactly did I do that was so wrong? Now you, you interrupt my victory. You spoil what was the beginning of my road to recovery. Benny, today you've made a mistake; today you've forced my hand. I don't want to do this, but I'm going to have to make a statement.

Vessey drops his microphone and turns his back to the dumbfounded Benson. He leaves the ringside area and, apparently, left Benson unable to speak.

Azaria: That was strange...

Silver: Strange times make people do strange things...

Rhodes: Know what else is strange? The amount of times we've all just said Strange.

Regular Singles Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/BennyBenson.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/RickLaw.jpg

Benny Benson Vs Rick Law

Following his tongue lashing from the veteran Vessey, Benny Benson was forced to regain his faculties quickly before the oncoming onslaught of one Rick Law. Following defeat himself at the hands of Koshiro Ino, Law seemingly wanted to make a statement against the TCW newcomer in order to make an example. Benson fought hard and used his quickness to stay out of his larger opponent’s way, but in truth Law's power and skill made him a difficult task to conquer. It was, however, the big mans own mistake that almost cost him as he went for the Firm Foot of the Law big boot but missed, hanging himself over the top rope. Benson looked to take advantage with a spring board drop kick that took Law down. As he set up to finish the match, Bryan Vessey made himself known once more on the top of the ramp, slow clapping the man he'd just chastised. Taking Benson's eye off the ball was enough to give Law the chance and this time he did not miss. The Firm Foot of the Law connected with Benson's face knocking him out cold.

Winner of the match by pinfall - Rick Law

Azaria: What was Vessey thinking?!

Rhodes: He said he wanted to make a statement, and costing the TCW rookie his match did just that.

Silver: Is Vessey looking to make an example of Benson or does this go deeper?

Azaria: Oh come on! Ladies and gentlemen up next we have a match between... Wait, that's Rocky Golden's music!

The Squeeze and The Challenge

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/DharmaGregg.jpg

Unlike has been expected, it was not Rocky Golden who made his way to the ring but a beautiful blonde female. The reaction for the women is somewhat muted as she climbs in the ring and takes the mic.

Women: Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce myself; I am Rocky's Angel... And tonight, my first and most important job in TCW is to introduce to you the TCW World Heavyweight Champion... Rocky Golden!

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/RockyGolden_alt6.jpg

The crowd go wild for the World Heavyweight Champion who looks in anything but the mood for fun. His stride to the ring is long and intense; climbing into the ring he takes the mic from his Angel with force. Clearly thinking about it for a moment, he turns back to her and plants a kiss on her cheek. Finally, he turns to the ramp and glares towards the entrance.

Golden: I'm not here for big speeches and celebrations, I'm here tonight for one reason and one reason only. The Keith Brothers, Sons of Sam, whatever it is you want to call yourselves. Get out here now so I can show you what I'm capable of when my back isn't turned.

Dropping the World Heavyweight Title over the shoulder of Rocky's Angel, Golden starts hoping from foot to foot warming up. Music hits; however it is not the music he was expecting...

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/SamKeith.jpg

Sam Keith, fully suited and booted makes his way out to the ramp looking somewhat forlorn. Mic in his hand, Keith makes not attempts to come to ringside, but merely glares at the Champion.

Golden: Why am I not surprised? Protecting your boys Sam?

Keith lifts the mic to his mouth, one side of his mouth twitching into semi-smile.

S. Keith: Hardly, Rocky, my intentions tonight have nothing to do with my sons. I had planned on approaching you backstage about this, but seeing as you've decided to make this public I had no choice. I had nothing to do with what Matthew and Gregory did last night; I didn't even know they were in the state. Last night, it wasn't just you who got screwed, it was me as well. I was the man who was disqualified, I was the man who lost my opportunity at your title. So tonight, I'm out here to ask you, as a man, to give me another chance.

Golden looks on, clearly taken aback.

Golden: Sam, you had your chance. If you have an issue with the results last night, then I suggest you take it up with your sons; if there's anything left.

S. Keith: To be honest, I don't blame you for wanting to take your frustration out on them. I mean, if I was in your position I would too.

Angel places her hand on her man's shoulder, clearly seeing Keith's plan to "draw him in".

Golden: What position is that?

S. Keith: They cost you the opportunity to prove you're a real champion. They left the world under the impression that really, you had more to gain from them getting involved. You walked away with the title, you walked away with the win. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I wouldn't be surprised if it was you who called the boys in. I've not exactly been the best father, I'm sure it wouldn't take much to convince them to screw me over...

Golden: Are you seriously trying to suggest...

S. Keith: No, Rocky, I'm suggesting that you prove the doubters and neigh sayers wrong. You and me, one more time at The War to Settle The Score?

Golden considers the challenge for a moment, he speaks briefly to Angel before lifting the mic to his lips once more.

Golden: You got it... One on one, you and I at The War to Settle the Score.

Sam Keith grins widely and nods before turning and heading out of the arena. It was, however, as Sam Keith disappeared, that two figures appeared from over the guard rail and into the ring.

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/GregKeith.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/MattKeith.jpg

The Sons of Sam catch Rocky Golden off guard with a double chop block. The Champion hits the ground and grasps at both of his knees, calling out in pain. Rocky's Angel splits from the ring leaving Greg Keith trying to turn over a Boston Crab. Golden tries his best to turn out of it until Matt Keith begins to lay the boots into the fallen champ. Finally, after what seems like an age, Golden is turned over, at which point Matt Keith steps over him and locks in a Camel Clutch. Rocky Golden is lifted clear off the floor as his body is contorted into "Sam-Sons Weakness". Finally, security floods the ringside area and split the Keith boys away. They back up the ramp, wide grins on their faces as EMT's look to check on the World Champion.

Azaria: Once again, The Sons of Sam making their presence felt.

Rhodes: The question is, does Sam Keith actually have anything to do with this or not?

Silver: Of course he does, the genius of this plan has the elder Keith's name written all over it.

Azaria: Ladies and gentlemen, we'll be back after these messages.

Commercial

Returning from commercial, we head straight back to ringside for our next contest.

TCW World Tag Team Title Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Titles/TCW_Tag.jpg

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/BrentHill.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/JohnAnderson.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Vs.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/TCW/Guide.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/TCW/Scout.jpg

The Machines© Vs The New Wave

Following their mix-up at Malice in Wonderland that saw Scout take out guide with a spear, leading to the former Tag Champs losing their belts, the two men get their rematch here tonight. A good contest with quick tag exchanges and some really good mat wrestling saw both teams come close. Before the conclusion of the match, both Scout and Guide came close to recapturing the gold after a number of quick tags and even the normally rule-bending Machines stuck to playing fair with some good submission and counter hold wrestling. Once again, however, miscommunication became key as Guide was, this time, the perpetrator of the mistake. A boot meant for the head of John Anderson caught Guide in the face only for him to be rolled up! As the count was made, Scout was knocked from the apron by Brent Hill as The Machines retained.

Winners by Pinfall and still TCW Tag Team Champions - The Machines

Azaria: Well another bout of mistakes costs The New Wave dear. What is next for the former Champions?

Rhodes: I'm not so sure Jason, with these recent losses they're quickly losing momentum and could find themselves on the outside looking in.

Silver: And once you're out, it's often most difficult to get your names back in the fold for another shot.

Azaria: Let's head back ringside for our next contest!

Regular Singles Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/TroyTornado.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/KoshiroIno.jpg

Troy Tornado Vs Koshiro Ino

Following their respective victories at Malice in Wonderland, these two men look to move on to bigger and better things. Tornado had, earlier in the night, almost been addressed by Benny Benson and Ino had seen Rick Law take out his frustration to poor effect against the TCW newcomer. This match saw differing styles collide with the bigger Tornado try to control and slow the match down while Ino tried to keep it at break neck speed. Ino managed to wear down his bigger opponent to the point of breaking when Rick Law made his presence felt. Although trying to distract Ino, he managed to do little more than draw Tornado's attention. A dropkick to the back sent Troy into Law, knocking Law from the apron allowing Ino to hit a sprint board kick to the face. Making the pinfall, he quickly gained victory.

Winner of the match by pinfall - Koshiro Ino

Azaria: Ino is victorious once more! What a great showing!

Rhodes: Please! It took Rick Law to gain him the victory! He's making his name of Rick Law's popularity!

Silver: What?! Ino had to fight against two men and did it well.

Azaria: As Rick Law heads off to lick his wounds backstage, we need to go to our final commercial break.

Commercial

We return from commercial and head to the ring for the next match.

No Holds Barred Tag Team Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/EddiePeak.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/JoeyMinnesota_alt5FIN.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/WolfHawkins.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/RickyDaleJohnson.jpg

Eddie Peak and Joey Minnesota Vs Wolf Hawkins and Ricky Dale Johnson

The main event of the evening saw The DaVE Alliance take on their first challenge in Wolf Hawkins and RDJ. Both licking their wounds from the vicious attack two days ago and also both nursing hurt egos from the relative attacks of Tommy Cornell and backstabbing of Joey Minnesota, the two enemies turned partners looked to gain some semblance of revenge. The match was fraught with slight timing issues as neither team were fluid in their dynamics. Peak and Minnesota looked the most solid unit as neither argued, but whether this was down to having similar goals or Eddie Peak's unyielding thirst to hurt people was focusing his mind. RDJ and Hawkins seemed to have more problems as both seemingly wanted to get their hands on their TCW-hating opponents. As the match went on, both Hawkins and RDJ looked to put their egos in check and did, indeed, look to take control. Their skill and abilities overpowered their unfamiliarity to allow them both to take Eddie Peak out of the match with a double clothesline over the top rope to the ground. As both men circled Joey Minnesota, the lights suddenly dimmed. On their return, a hooded figure stood behind Hawkins and RDJ with a steel chair in hand.

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/JayDarkness.jpg

Azaria: Wait... Is that Danny Fonzarelli!?

Rhodes: No... It's JAY DARKNESS!

Darkness slams the chair into the back of RDJ staggering him forward into the Minnesota Salute Double Arm DDT! Hawkins turned to face their attacker, only to feel the steel chair in his stomach. Minnesota once again hit the Minnesota Salute, this time on the legal man and made the pin. The referee was had no choice but to make the count.

Winners of the match by pinfall - Joey Minnesota and Eddie Peak

Azaria: Jay Darkness has joined the DaVE Alliance!

Silver: This is getting worrying, who else will join?

Rhodes: It could be anybody! Don't turn your back on your friends, they may be new enemies!

The Alliance and The Cavalry...

As the bell continues to ring, Phil Vibert and Nemesis climb into the ring. Each of the men embraces the hooded Jay Darkness. Nemesis slowly takes the chair from the hand of their newest member and points to Wolf Hawkins. With a huge grin on his face, he motions to lift Hawkins' to his knees much like Cornell had been just two days earlier. Just like his mentor, the defiant Wolf Hawkins did not make a move. His pain, his grogginess faded away all behind a big, wide grin. Leaning back, he nods his head in recognition of what is about to come. As Nemesis rears back, the crowd go wild.

Azaria: WAIT! LOOK!

Silver: He's here!

Rhodes: TOMMY CORNELL!

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/TommyCornell_alt5.jpg

Cornell sprints down to the ring and slides into the ring with a steel chair in hand. Swinging wildly, he almost connects with the scattering DaVE Alliance who all quickly made their exit. Cornell's wild-eyed look mixed with the slow trickle of blood down his forehead exerted from the effort of coming to the ring.

As the Alliance make their way up the ramp, Cornell takes a mic and walks to the ramp way side of the ring.

Cornell: Vibert, Nemesis, I have no idea why you're here, I don't care what you want, but I do know that you have made a big, big mistake. This is my world, and no-one but me makes the kind of moves you have. Try and take me out will you sunshine? Well I promise you one thing; you have no idea what you've gotten into.

A smile spreads across his now scarlet face.

Cornell: John, seeing as you're not man enough to face me yourself, at The War to Settle the Score I'll be taking on your clone... That little hooded moron, Jay Darkness. You boys think what you did to me on Sunday was bad? In my world, the best kind of revenge is Rough Justice.

Azaria: Cornell is here and he's taking the fight to the DaVE Alliance!

Rhodes: What does this mean? Is he... Is he fighting on the side of GOOD!?

Silver: It took an act of mutilation on himself to make him fight for the good of the company. Every cloud seemingly has a silver lining!

Azaria: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you so much for watching. Join us next week, where will this war go from here!?

We fade to black with the bloody Tommy Cornell glaring at an angry Nemesis and Phil Vibert.

Big shout out to all of those who have worked so hard in the re-render and alt threads for breathing new life into some of these workers. I'd name you all individually but I'd probably miss someone. Thank you to each of you.

Rocky Golden Vs The Sons of Sam

Following the attack at the hands of the Keith Brothers last week, Rocky Golden has asked that the first contest of the night would be between himself and the newest Tag Team on the block. After a difficult couple of weeks, Rocky Golden looks intent on making sure that neither of the Keith Brothers will involve themselves in his match with Sam Keith at The War to Settle the Score. The question is, where does Sam Keith fit into this whole situation.

The Machines© Vs The New Wave

2 matches, 2 mistakes, 2 losses. Those are the sorry looking statistics as it concerns The New Wave in their recent battle with The Machines. This matched has been deemed “Last Chance” in their efforts to regain the gold that has so far eluded them. This match could well signal the end of any Tag Team Championship reigns for The New Wave in the foreseeable future.

Troy Tornado Vs Koshiro Ino

Once again, Troy Tornado and Koshiro Ino do battle following a tainted battle last week. Rick Law made his presence felt and cost the man he was looking to aid victory. Tornado currently has issues with Benny Benson which seem to have been waylaid by a recent misunderstanding with Bryan Vessey, but the question begs; with Rick Law, Benny Benson and Bryan Vessey all running roughshot trying to prove their worth, can Tornado and Ino really be sure their match this week will be interference free?

Wolf Hawkins Vs Jay Darkness

Following revelations that the former Danny Fonzarelli had turned his back on TCW and returned to his DaVE rots, this week Wolf Hawkins looks to show him a small part of what he’s in for when he takes on Rough Justice at The War to Settle the Score. It’s clear to see that Jay Darkness was indeed frustrated when his shock appearance last week was overshadowed by the return of Tommy Cornell and this week he looks to prove his worth.

Tommy Cornell and Ricky Dale Johnson Vs Joey Minnesota and Eddie Peak

If Ricky Dale Johnson was happy with his partner last week, this week he must surely be ecstatic as he and Tommy Cornell team up to take on the first two active members of the DaVE Alliance. Following the attack at Malice in Wonderland and a somewhat hasty return, many are wondering just whether or not Cornell is at one hundred percent. Add that to the fact that he and RDJ have a somewhat chequered history makes for interesting reading as we await this weeks show.

Sam Keith Vs Bryan Vessey

Following what has to be called a difficult couple of weeks both physically and emotionally, Bryan Vessey looks to challenge Sam Keith on his return to recovery. After disappointment at Malice in Wonderland, Bryan Vessey won his match last week only to feel disrespected by the newcomer Benny Benson. What role, if any, will Benson take in this match following a frustrating loss last week caused by the disrespected party? Sam Keith, however, is on a different path. His actions over the last couple of weeks have been flawless as it is his sons that have waged a war against Rocky Golden. The veteran would have you believe he is trying to win what could be his last World Heavyweight Title “clean” and his sons are tainting that. Will the Sons of Sam have a hand in the end of this weeks main event?

Also scheduled to appear, the leaders of the DaVE Alliance, Phil Vibert and Nemesis and also TCW International Champion, Buddy Garner.

The show begins with a recap of last weeks events. He challenge made by Hawkins and Ricky Dale Johnson, the match between themselves and The DaVE Alliance, the interference and apparent change of loyalty of the man now named Jay Darkness and then, finally, the unexpected and completely shocking return of Tommy Cornell. The video ends with the words of Tommy Cornell

Cornell: In my world the best kind of revenge is Rough Justice.

Azaria: Welcome everyone to another edition of TCW Presents Total Wrestling! I’m Jason Azaria here with my broadcast colleagues Sara Silver and Kyle Rhodes.

Silver: This week should be very interesting following all of the twists and turns of last week.

Rhodes: And what’s more, the DaVE Alliance continues to grow…

Azaria: But first, let’s head to ringside for our opening contest.

Rocky Golden Vs The Sons of Sam

Following the sneak attack at the hands of the Keith brothers last week, Rocky Golden asked for this handicap match to open the show. It was, however, a decision that he may have come to regret as the numbers game quickly garnered results for the Sons of Sam. As the match wore on, the technically stronger Keith brothers continued to be frustrated by their stronger, unwilling to quit opponent with their efforts to keep him down getting wilder. In the end it was a mistake that looked to change the tide of the match. Whilst his brother tried to tell him he was making a mistake, the normally grounded Greg Gauge went to the top in an attempt to bring the larger man down. A missed crossbody gave Golden the impetus he needed to take control and following a number of power moves and a clothesline that took Matt over the top rope, he locked in the Torture Rack. Fearing injury, Greg Keith tapped out leading to a victory for the World Heavyweight Champion.

Winner of the match by submission – Rocky Golden

Azaria: Fantastic win for the champion, going some way to prove that he is a legitimate Champ!

Silver: Looks and skills, that’s all he needs in my book.

Rhodes: And Sam Keith no-where to be seen, could this prove he has no involvement with his sons?

Azaria: Wait, what’s this!?

An Uncertain Samaritan

As Golden celebrates, he is quickly taken down by yet another double chop block at the hands of his former opponents. His sweet victory suddenly being ruined by the Keith boys once more. As the Sons of Sam look to set themselves for their Sam-Sons Weakness hold, the crowd pop. The unexpected reason for the pop is non-other than…

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/SamKeith.jpg

Sam Keith! The number one contender sprints to the ring and slides inside sending his boys scattering. The brothers look at one another, worried, shocked? Who knows. As Keith shouts to them, he slowly stands over the Champion and pulls him to his feet. Golden nods in recognition of the help he’d been given and walks forward to address the brothers. As he does so, an arm wraps around his throat and he’s hit with a big Reverse DDT!

Silver: I KNEW IT!

Azaria: OH COME ON!

Keith gets to his feet and stares down at the fallen Champ. On the outside, the Keith brothers high five and grin up at their dad who is now climbing out of the ring. He turns from the ring without any emotion on his face. The brothers extend their arms in an embrace but Sam just walks straight through them, his shoulders knocking each of them to a side. Their glee suddenly changes to looks of mingled confusion.

Rhodes: But… I don’t get it…

Azaria: This seems to be getting stranger and stranger by the week!

Silver: Are they a group or separate?

Azaria: Only one man can answer and he doesn’t look like revealing those answers anytime soon. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s head back to the ring for our Tag Team Title Match!

The Machines© Vs The New Wave

This match was billed as The New Wave’s final opportunity at The Machines as, it transpired, that to get this match, the New Wave agreed to split should they not win the titles. The desire to win back the belts and retain their status as a tag team was clear to see as the former Champions locked up with one of the best teams in the history of TCW. The Champions were rocked on a number of occasions and looked destined to lose the belts after some good tag team wrestling left Brent Hill down and out. The pinfall, however, was broken up at the last moment by a trailing leg of John Anderson broke up that attempt. The end of the match came this time, not from a mistake by The New Wave, but a fantastic piece of Tag Team wrestling from The Machines. A blind tag leading to a sunset flip by John Anderson keeping Scout’s shoulders down for the three.

Winners of the match by Pinfall and still TCW Tag Team Champions – The Machines

Azaria: Can you believe it? The New Wave are no more!

Silver: This is a momentous occasion!

Rhodes: Meh…

The Long Kiss Goodbye…

The reality of the situation begins to dawn as Scout climbs to his feet to find Guide leaning over the top rope. Turning to face his partner, Guide’s eyes seem to glaze over. After years of being partners it was over, not through injury, not through leaving the company but by losing at what they do best. Tag, Team, Wrestling. Both men’s eyes meet as they walk towards one another. Scout extends his hand to his tag team partner who quickly takes it and they shake. The ovation they receive almost worth the knowledge that this would be their last moment as a team.

Azaria: WHAT!? WHY!?

Azaria’s voice rings over the instant swing of cheers to boos. Guide’s right boot had swung northwards and connected with Scout’s groin. As Scout began to drop, Guide gripped him and pulled him in to an embrace. The next words he spoke were clearly visable on screen.

Guide: It’s all… Your… Fault…

Scout dropped to his knees as Guide backed off, finally seeling the deal of the New Wave with a stiff kick to the side of Scout’s head. The crowd continue to boo as Guide stands over his fallen partner, looking down at him with a burning intensity in his eyes.

Azaria: Guide with a heinous attack there! There just was no reason… The BOTH made mistakes.

Silver: Ironically, not in this match! They’d worked like a perfectly oiled machine!

Rhodes: Maybe the fact that even that didn’t make a difference was Guides frustration.

Azaria: Ladies and gentlemen, we’ll be back after a few short messages.

Troy Tornado Vs Koshiro Ino

Following what some would call a shock victory over Troy Tornado last week, Koshiro Ino looks to take it to the Rock Star all over again. The win last week was anything but fair despite the fact Rick Law attempted to cost Ino the victory not Tornado. This solid contest saw more back and forth action between the two men and a clear stable offence by Troy Tornado leading him towards victory once more. In a shock moment, out of no-where, Ino hit the same springboard kick to the face of Tornado knocking him out cold. It was all in vein, however, as the falling Tornado had knocked the referee out of the ring. Ino made the cover but there wasn’t anyone to make the pin. As Ino reached his feet, the cries of warning were not enough as he was hit by…

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/RickLaw.jpg

Rick Law by the “Long Arm of the Law” lariat turning him inside out. Law pulled Tornado over his fallen opponent and woke up the referee to make the cover.

Winner of the match by pinfall – Troy Tornado

Azaria: Rick Law finally made the impact he’d craved against Koshiro Ino.

Silver: How will the Dark Warrior respond?

Rhodes: And where exactly was Benny Benson when needed?

Unprovoked… Unscheduled… Unwarranted

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/BuddyGarner.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/JoshuaTaylor.jpg

We head backstage where TCW International Champion buddy Garner stands on, title over his shoulder, eyes focused off camera. The next moment, Joshua Taylor makes his entrance into the picture. Neither men take their eyes off one another.

Taylor: Buddy…

Garner: Joshua…

The silence between the two is, momentarily uncomfortable, hanging in between them like a veil.

Garner: I suppose I owe you some thanks for your help last week.

Taylor: Don’t mention it, I didn’t do it for you.

The silence hangs once more, this time it’s Taylor’s turn to step in.

Taylor: Look, Buddy, I have no problem with you, I just have a problem with how you won that belt. You waited for Buffalo to destroy me then you took advantage; that’s not how I thought you did things.

Garner: Anything, anywhere, anytime. That’s what I will do to be and keep this belt. I’ve been out of this business for a long time and I swear to god I would move heaven and earth to be the best. This is a step in the right direction; I’d have done the same thing to you, to Buffalo and to anyone else I get in the ring with. It’s nothing personal, I just have no allegiance to anyone but me…

Before either Taylor or Garner can speak again, a Singapore Cane enters the scene hitting Garner in the side of the head. Taylor turns round to taste a boot to the face. Before the camera has a chance to catch the purportrator, Joshua Taylor is scooped into the air and thrown like a Lawn Dart into a nearby wall. Climbing to his feet, Buddy Garner begins to slam punches into the face of the assailant who finally comes into view.

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/EddiePeak.jpg

The monstorous figure of Eddie Peak blocks one of the punches and clearly head buts Garner in the bridge of the nose. Garner staggers back only to be met with a huge clothesline taking him down onto one of the large equipment crates. With all of his force, Peak pushes the crate to a nearby stairwell and, off camera, pushes it down. The sound of the crate hitting a wall is ear-splitting. The camera turns to find Buddy Garner unconscious with the crate leaning on top of him. Turning his attention back to the now slowly standing Joshua Taylor. Taylor turns and is scooped up with a double hand choke and slammed down onto the top of another crate. As such, the second crate is ran into a nearby wall sending Taylor headfirst against the concrete.

Azaria: This… This is ridiculous… Why…

Finally, as Peak stands breathing heavily in the midst of the destruction, into the scene enters the man who has claimed to control Peak for the last 3 years…

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/PhilVibert.jpg

Vibert: That’s enough Eddie, I think we’ve proven our point.

Peak and Vibert leave the area and the fallen superstars as if he’d never entered the scene.

Azaria: Eddie Peak has just dominated the two biggest superstars in our International Championship Division…

Silver: And hardly broke a sweat with it as well.

Rhodes: Clearly a message to prove just how dangerous the DaVE Alliance can be.

We head to the ring for the next contest.

Wolf Hawkins Vs Jay Darkness

Following the shock revelation (though soon overshadowed) that Danny Fonzarelli had shaken off his fun and frivolous lifestyle to return to his routs as Jay Darkness, Tommy Cornell was quick to make an offer of a match at The War to Settle the Score. Before we reach The War, however, Jay Darkness would need to make an impact against Wolf Hawkins. The match was a good, even contest between two very talented workers with both men having opportunities to gain victory. As the match came to a crossroads, it was the ever impressive skill that enabled Wolf Hawkins to hit his Howl at the Moon finisher and gain a clean victory.

Winner of the match by pinfall – Wolf Hawkins

Azaria: And there is TCW proving it’s dominance once again!

Silver: In one case, but there is a long way to go before the end of the night.

Tommy Cornell and Ricky Dale Johnson Vs Joey Minnesota and Eddie Peak

In an even contest that saw The DaVE Alliance attempt to utilize as many non-legal weapons as they could, it was the referee who was the hero. Sam Sparrow was there to remove chairs, canes, knuckles and trashcan lids from the ring before any of them were used. It was, it appeared, very frustrating for the man who attempted to involve these items, Nemesis! After sliding one too many illegal items into the ring, Sparrow had had enough and ordered Nemesis from ringside. When the one of the leaders of the DaVE Alliance refused to leave, Sparrow called for sercurity to come to the ring to escort him backstage and out of the arena! Nemesis was livid as he was forced to the back leaving Minnesota and Peak alone. The irony of the situation came when the distracted Sparrow failed to see Tommy Cornell use the last of the weapons placed in the ring to nail Eddie Peak in the jaw. The brass knuckles were then tossed aside for RDJ to hit a Death Valley Driver for the pin.

Winners of the match by pinfall – Tommy Cornell and Ricky Dale Johnson

Azaria: Retribution for TCW tonight as we show the DaVE Alliance that we will not step aside!

Sivler: Speaking of retribution, how will the DaVE Alliance react to such a setback?

Rhodes: And will that mean more problems for TCW Superstars like Garner and Taylor received earlier tonight!

Sam Keith Vs Bryan Vessey

After the unspoken attack on Rocky Golden earlier tonight, Sam Keith enters the main event this evening on a roll of momentum. His opponent, like-wise, seems to feel he’s in control of his own destiny as he takes on the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship tonight. As would be expected from these two generals of the ring, they put on a clinic building this match slowly from start to finish. There was a feeling throughout that the Keith Brothers would make their appearance during the match but it was not to be. Both men looked like they could gain victory, and defeat of Sam Keith would have clearly put Vessey in with a shot at Rocky Golden’s championship whoever held it after The War to Settle The Score. At the moment o crescendo, neither man sure who would gain victory, Bryan Vessey’s actions would come back to haunt him…

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/BennyBenson.jpg

From the back comes the flowing locks of Benny Benson sprint to ringside. Vessey looks on, readying himself for an attack on Sam Keith when Benson slides half into the ring and then back out. The referee calls out for him to leave ringside as Vessey strides forward and begins to shout. Turning around from the distraction, Vessey is taken down with an arm bar into a Proton Lock! He is able to counter only to find himself rolled up in a small package by Keith! 1… 2… 3!

Winner of the match by pinfall – Sam Keith

Keith rolled out of the ring with his arm raised and an incensed Bryan Vessey hung over the middle rope shouting at Benson who walks backwards up the ramp.

Azaria: Keith gets the win and rolls on some more momentum for The War to Settle the Score!

Silver: And Benny Benson got some semblance of revenge!

Rhodes: How will Bryan Vessey react to being cost his opportunity to push into the World Heavyweight Championship race?

Azaria: Thank you for joining us tonight ladies and gentlemen, tune in next week as we move towards The War to Settle the Score!

We fade to black with Sam Keith’s hand raised in victory, no look of emotion on his face and an angry looking Bryan Vessey shouting up the ramp to a smirking Benny Benson.

Thanks for everyone who predicted results, as you can see I made the mistake of writing the card from the results page so I ended up listing all the winners as the first part of the match. What a genius! From now on I shall use the formula of Heel Vs Face for my cards to prevent this type of mistake again.

Not a bad show all in, and the Eddie Peak segment was amazing. I love Menace Angles; turns out he’s the most over man in TCW right now so I shall be using that to my advantage.

Thanks again, card should be up later today

“It’s not 1997 anymore Bryan!” He said, his eyes focused on the subject of his verbal tirade.

“Listen, just get it over with. Suspend me, fire me or let me go home…” The recipient replied, clearly uninterested in what he was being told.

It had been a tough night. The show had been great, the Main Event had reached normal levels of expectation and then… This. John Campbell and Tommy Cornell sat in a room with the door closed and a bored looking Bryan Vessey sat on a chair looking through his Blackberry.

“Well? I’ve not got all night. I have a flight to catch.” Vessey said nonchalantly. Cornell looked to Campbell who shook his head; this exchange was not noticed by the rapidly typing Vessey.

“Just go Bryan; we’ll talk about it tomorrow.” Said Cornell, the defeat clear in his voice and more so in his eyes. Vessey got to his feet and grabbed his bag.

“Thanks for wasting my god damned time. How the hell am I supposed to catch a cab now? The guys already left.” He left the room slamming the door behind me. Cornell looked to Campbell, his eyes only connecting briefly.

“What did you want me to do John? This program with Benson and Tornado JUST started. If I suspend him now it ruins your whole build up.” Said Cornell with plea in his voice.

“Tommy, there’s no point spending money on Drug Testing if we’re not going to act on it. What type of message are we sending out to these young kids we’re hiring if Vessey turns up at the arena tomorrow night telling the world he’s juiced up to the eye balls and we don’t care?” Replied Campbell, clearly unhappy with the way things had gone.

“You know as well as I do that every single wrestler over the age of 40 have juiced up at some point. Me included, but things are different now. The media are waiting for a high profile death that will put TCW, SWF, USPW, NOTBPW or any other national watched fed on death row.” He said.

“I know…” Replied Cornell.

“I don’t think you do. Bryan Vessey may be one of the biggest superstars ever to have returned to TCW, Tommy, but if he goes to far on that crap and ends up lying in a morgue, he’ll be the biggest TCW ever to die from taking it. We’ll be held responsible for not nipping it in the bud; we’ll be the guys who turned a blind eye.” Campbell pointed out again.

Cornell scratches his stubbled jaw, his eyes glazed deep in thought. Campbell climbs to his feet and picks up his notes for the next weeks show. Finally Cornell holds on his hand to halt him from leaving.

“Alright, listen. After this program with Tornado and Benson, keep him out of any major storylines from now on. We’ll use him in minor roles where he’ll help get younger talent over. If he asks why, we’ll tell him. He needs to stop taking that stuff. Long and the short of it, if he gets caught again, he gets suspended; if he gets caught again after that? We’ll release him. Right now he thinks he’s untouchable and that has to change.” Cornell advised.

“You wont regret it Tommy; I promise. I can make these storys work around Bryan and still make him useful. If he values his career then he’ll clean up; that’s the way it has to work. I’m going to the hotel and driving out to the show tomorrow.”

“Driving? We pay for your flights you know?” Said Cornell, a wry smile on his face.

“Sure, but if I can save money on travel, maybe we can afford to steal someone big from SWF.” Campbell grinned back before he left the room.

Surprise, surprise! Bryan Vessey got caught taking Steroids. On this occasion, we tried the "Fatherly" approach. He clearly didn't take any interest in it so the store has been set. One more time he gets suspended, after that? I'll fire him. Not risknig a Prestige hit for him getting revealed publically.

Rocky Golden and The LA Connection Vs Sam Keith and Sons of Sam

The strange relationship between Sam Keith and his sons continues tonight as the three family members team up to take on Rocky Golden and two men he has recruited to help him take on the Keith Family. There has been no word from Sam or either of his children as to their true connection with neither the Brothers or their father willing to clarify the situation. This has, however, left our World Heavyweight Champion in somewhat of a conundrum. Should he trust that Sam Keith is honest when he says that he has no knowledge of what his boys are doing, or should he steel himself to the idea that this could all be a ruse to ensure the title returns to the Keith family? Only three men know, and not one of them are talking.

Foxx Nation Vs The Tag Team Specialists Vs The Machines©

Following the implosion of The New Wave last week, The Machines look to move on to the next challengers for their crown. In a move that will see the Tag Champions at a severe disadvantage they take on two sets of challengers at completely different ends of the spectrum. The Tag Team Specialists are, as would be expected from their name, veterans of Tag Team wrestling. As such, they’re a danger to any set of champions in any match that they take part in, nevermind a match where the Champions don’t have to be beaten. The other end of the scale is the youthful and dynamic, yet clearly inexperienced Foxx Nation team consisting of Flying Jimmy Fox and Foxx mask. These two have impressed in their showings together on the House Show circuit and have been granted this opportunity on TCW Presents Total Wresting

Scout Vs Guide

Last week, Guide shocked the world by turning his back on his New Wave partner following a good, albeit unlucky match against the Machines. The creedo that the New Wave team must split should they not win the titles back upheld, Guide decided that merely saying thank you and good bye to his long time partner was not enough as he clearly wanted to show dominance over the man who believes “cost them” the championships. Whilst mistakes had indeed been apparent, both men had made them and their nearly flawless performace in the final match went some way to prove that they just didn’t have what it took to beat the Machines. As such, this sent Guide over the edge leaving his partner unconscious on the mat nursing bruised pride to go along side his bruised skull and worst of all, bruised manhood.

Wolf Hawkins Vs Jay Darkness

Last week, Wolf Hawkins defeated Jay Darkness in a match that many saw as proof that the TCW “Protégé” had more in his locker than the DaVE “Acolyte”. As such, this week Jay Darkness extends the request for a rematch to Wolfy who happily accepted. The opportunity to crush the followers of DaVE along with the spirit of the man who turned his back on TCW is too much to take. It is, however, wondered whether accepting this challenge has its drawbacks. Jay Darkness is unlikely to take defeat lightly and the DaVE Alliance has not, thus far, been against bending the rules.

Ricky Dale Johnson Vs Eddie Peak

Following Tag Team Action this week, Phil Vibert, on behalf of the Great White Shark Eddie Peak, challenged Ricky Dale Johnson to prove he “had what it took” in the fight against the DaVE Alliance by taking part in TCW’s first ever DaVE rules match. Essentially, the match will see weapons legal and pinfall and submission the only way to win. It is clear that Peak has the advantage in the match, yet still Ricky Dale Johnson will look to take it to the big man in an attempt to prove that TCW can indeed stomach the coming battle.

Tommy Cornell Vs Joey Minnesota

Our Main Event is a mouth-watering prospect with Cornell and Minnesota both riding a huge wave of momentum. Off the back of his defection to DaVE, Minnesota has been in the best form of his career and is set to light up TCW with his new found “hardcore” attitude. On the flip side, Tommy Cornell may not have the ticks in the win column that Minnesota has, but his intensity has been not far short of explosive since his shock return to action just 2 days after being bludgeoned by Nemesis’ steel chair. These two men will collide in what has to be one of the biggest Main Events seen in TCW in recent memory.

Azaria: Welcome everyone to TCW Presents Total Wrestling! I’m Jason Azaria at ringside with my broadcast colleagues the legendary Kyle Rhodes and the fantastic Sara Silver!

Rhodes: That’s right; legendary! That’s me, nobody does it better baby!

Silver: … Lovely… Thanks for the introduction Jason!

Azaria: We have a fantastic line up of matches ton… Wait, ladies and gentlemen it looks like we’re going to be joined out here by Ricky Dale Johnson!

Fighting For Freedom… Fighting The Alliance

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/RickyDaleJohnson.jpg

Ricky Dale Johnson makes his way to the ring, his face showing no joy or happiness, showing almost no emotion whatsoever. Climbing through the ropes he takes the mic and waits for his music and the buzz of the crowd to die down. Eventually, after what seemed like an eternity, RDJ lifts his hand to cool the crowd down a little.

Johnson: Thank you; I thank each and every one of you for that intense reception.

A sub wave of cheers passes through the arena, but respectfully it dies down just as quickly.

Johnson: Normally, I would be standing out here in front of you fantastic TCW fans and talk about just how great it would be to bring down the Syndicate. Talking about how me and my partner; my friend, would be the two men to bring down the most corrupt, the most despicable, the most crippling entity that TCW has ever known… Ladies and gentlemen, a month is a long, long time.

The wave passes through once more.

Johnson: 1 month ago, I was fighting for TCW with a man who I had considered to be a close friend against two men I considered to be enemies. The irony is that now those who threatened TCW are now fighting for its very life at my side and our enemy? My fellow Freedom Fighter.

And now? A wave of boos pass through the arena.

Johnson: It’s taken me 3 weeks to get this straight in my head; to work out what I need to do. Afterall, thus far Joey Minnesota has gone relatively unpunished for what he did to me at the end of Malice In Wonderland. He turned his back on TCW, and for what? “The Glory Days”? The era of DaVE ended years ago and he turned his back on us for a cause that went against everything the Freedom Fighters believed in.

RDJ begins to get animated, his arm movements wild and gesticulating.

Johnson: Joey, I’m talking to you now. This thing between you and I runs deeper than TCW, it runs deeper than DaVE. This is about betrayal, this is about you turning your back on everything we fought for and believed in. This is for leaving me bereft of trust for anyone I ever called a friend. Our next pay-per-view is aptly called The War to Settle the Score. Joey, I am challenging you one on one to a match; because this is about more than TCW and DaVE this is about you and me…

As RDJ speaks, he’s cut off by the music of DaVE DangerZone TV hits and…

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/JoeyMinnesota_alt5FIN.jpg

… Joey Minnesota saunters onto the stage. His eyes glow yellow with what are clearly contact lenses and his mouth is curled into a snipe grin. In his hand he holds a mic and he’s adorned in his wrestling gear and a DaVE T-Shirt. As the boos begin to subside, Minnesota lifts his mic to his lips.

Minnesota: This is why we were a weak alternative to Cornell and Hawkins; because you always have and always will be weak. Friends? You think you’ve ever had friends Ricky? You really are as pathetic as I always imagined. You and I were never friends, we were never more than men with a common enemy. You chastise me for turning my back on TCW, yet it is you that now teams with the virus we were trying to destroy. My principles are intact, I’m still fighting that virus. Now you’re just part of it.

Minnesota continues to grin arrogantly.

Minnesota: I returned to the DaVE Alliance because I had no faith in you and I as a team. Your weakness was holding me back and I needed men of strength and solidarity in order to destroy Cornell and his puppet. Look at how things turned out, Ricky, The Syndicate were ended by me; ME! And all because I had the strength of the DaVE Alliance behind me. All along, you’d been handed the plaudits. You’d taken Cornell’s belt only to lose it back to him on a number of occasions. You, the great Ricky Dale Johnson, who had been the leader of the rebellion. Honestly? It made me sick.

His grin now becomes a sneer, his eyes focused on RDJ, almost burning through him.

Minnesota: The fact that joining the DaVE Alliance gave me the opportunity to show you just how dominant I had been was just a bonus Ricky. Now, now you want to make this a personal battle? Let me make this clear, you and I have no personal relationship; positive or negative. I don’t care enough about you to engage in that ring any more than I would ever want to team with you. So my answer is no, I have much bigger things to deal with than your ego. Thanks for the offer, but I think I’m busy that night.

Minnesota turns his back to leave.

Johnson: What, you can’t beat me? Fair enough, Joey, fair enough. I mean, so far the only way you’ve gotten the better of me is cheap shotting me from behind. I completely understand. You’ve your Dangerous and Violent reputation to protect. I wouldn’t want to sully that for you.

Minnesota stops dead, the smile returning to his face.

Minnesota: You try to goad me into a fight Ricky? Do you think I’m that stupid?

RDJ leans forward on the ropes

Johnson: No, I think you want to know. You want to know if everything you said was the truth or whether or not it’s just hype. The fact is, neither of us know who was the weak link in our team. How about it Joey? Feel like proving you have what it takes? Or are you just going to sneak to the back and hide under Vibert’s coat tails?

Minnesota runs his tongue over his teeth, clearly holding back from saying something.

Johnson: Do you have the stones to take me on?

The sneer returns and his response is spat back in RDJ’s direction.

Minnesota: FINE! You and me, The War to Settle the Score; but I promise you one thing Ricky. You’ve just made the biggest mistake of your life.

Johnson: No, no, no… You’ve got it all wrong. The biggest mistake I ever made, was letting you think I didn’t carry you. Now I get to prove it one on one. This is going to be fun Minnesota, real fun.

RDJ’s music begins to play as Minnesota stalks backstage. Johnson stops to wave to the fans a little before heading to the back

Azaria: That’s a huge match set for the War to Settle the Score!

Silver: Partners turned enemies? That makes for interesting watching!

Rhodes: And if anyone knows RDJ’s moves, it’s his former partner.

Azaria: The same could be said for Minnesota, Kyle! Let’s head to the ring for our first match of the evening.

Rocky Golden and The LA Connection Vs Sam Keith and Sons of Sam

Rocky Golden has never claimed to have many friends in this business. A lot of his ties were severed as a brash arrogant youth when he burst onto the scene in TCW. As such, he’s had to look long and hard for partners in this match. The LA Connection, looking to gain exposure for themselves in a match involving Main Event superstars, took up the challenge. The uneasy alliance between the Keith boys and their father was clear to see from the outset. A worryingly long period of time refusing to tag either of his children into the match saw Sam Keith taking a prolonged beating. In a strange moment, Rocky Golden seemingly took pity on the obviously weakened legend and threw him to the corner where the Sons of Sam stood. For a moment, neither looked willing to tag in. Eventually, Greg made the tag and the match turned. Great Tag action between the brothers saw them cut the ring off and prevent Golden from making the Tag. When he did, it was hot. Aaron Andrews looked to take control and fast tags between him and his partner, Chance Fortune, saw the Sons of Sam being dominated. That changed very quickly as the temperamental Edd Stone appeared from out of the crowd and slid into the ring. Just as quickly, he slid out the other side but it was too late, Aaron Andrews has been distracted and Matt Keith had hit a huge German Suplex on Andrews and got the pinfall.

Winners of the match by pinfall – Sons of Sam and Sam Keith

An Uneasy Alliance… Broken?

As the match comes to an end, the fallen Aaron Andrews is left laying in the ring. Having watched his son pick up victory, Sam Keith climbs through the ropes and slowly starts to stalk towards the fallen number one contender to the TCW All Action Championship. He looks back over his shoulder as both of the Keith boys move up behind him. He crouches down as if searching for something on Andrews skin. Slowly moving his hand towards the downed body, his progression is stopped. Rocky Golden returns to the ring, closely followed by Chance Fortune. Sam Keith quickly stands straight, opposing Golden, however his sons do not. Clearly unwilling to fight the World Heavyweight Champion and his ally, the Sons of Sam had vacated the ring leaving their father alone to take the heat. As they backed up the ramp, the smile on Golden’s face told his War to Settle the Score opponent something was wrong. Checking behind himself, finding he is alone, Sam Keith slowly moves backwards. Still no expression crosses his face, his eyes fixed on the champ. He vacates the ring, never taking his eyes away. As Golden and Fortune drop to their knees to check on Aaron Andrews, Sam Keith turns to stare a hole in his boys before storming up the ramp towards them. Fearing his wrath, both Greg and Matt turn on their tale and sprint clear of the arena.

Azaria: This situation between Sam Keith and his offspring seems to be getting stranger by the week.

Rhodes: And the relationship between Golden and Keith. Is it respect or is it a game?

Silver: All I know is that this World Heavyweight Championship match at the War is looking more and more interesting by the day.

Azaria: All I know is that we’ll be back after a few short messages.

Foxx Nation Vs The Tag Team Specialists Vs The Machines©

This match began The Machines’ mission to become the most decorated Tag Team in wrestling history. This, it would appear, was something The Tag Team Specialists took exception to. As such, the match itself spent most time between these two teams ignoring the inclusion of the ever impressive Foxx Nation. The new tag team spent the first half of the match watching some great tag team specialists without getting involved. This changed when a drop kick sent Joel Bryant back into the corner where Foxx Nation were stood. Tagging himself in, Flying Jimmy Fox set off like a house on fire. He took the match to both Anderson and Hill before Foxx Mask came to his partners aid. Some great double team action saw Mask and Jimmy come close on a couple of occasions to beating the champions. In the end, a frustrated Robert Oxford interjected his boot to the back of Foxx Mask’s knee allowing Anderson to hit him with a Fisherman’s with a bridge! The aging Oxford and Bryant couldn’t make the save in time and The Machines were victorious.

Winners of the match by pinfall and still TCW Tag Team Champions – The Machines©

A Shift in Momentum… A Change of Heart?

Following their victory over the newly formed team, strangely The Machines helped their opponents up to their feet. Following a brief handshake, the fans lead a standing ovation for both the champions and their challengers. Looking on from the outside, Oxford and Bryant exchanged looks of incredulation. Quickly returning to the ring, they managed to knock Foxx Nation from the ring. The Machines, seemingly, took exception to this attack and came face to face with the elder statesmen. The crowd popped big for The Machines who apparently seemed to respect Foxx Nation’s efforts. Oxford and Bryant quickly backed down and clapped hands celebrating the retaining Champions. As Anderson and Hill turned to the side of the ring where Foxx Nation lay, they were assaulted from behind by the Tag Team Specialists. Boots, stomps and punches were the order of the day as the Specialists beat down the Champions. Finally, the assault over, both men posed with a Championship; Bryant holding it at his waist, Oxford over his head before dropping the belts on the fallen champions and vacating ringside.

Azaria: The Tag Team Specialists didn’t appreciate losing that match it seems.

Rhodes: Especially when they didn’t take the pinfall.

Silver: And what about the respect shown BY the Machines to Foxx Nation?

Azaria: All makes for interesting viewing, ladies and gentlemen, we’ll bring you more as this story develops.

Following the announcers discussions, we head back to ringside for our next contest.

Scout Vs Guide

At the end of their Tag Team Title match last week, The New Wave exploded. Guide turned on his partner laying full blame on Scout for their loss. As such, the vicious attack left The New Wave Team in splinters and both men looking to forge their own path. The match was a good contest between two men who know each other very well indeed. As such, there was a definite degree of counter wrestling. As such, their was very little to choose between the two who looked to prove which was the more dominant member of the team. It was, however, Guide’s newly found “dishonest” streak that found merit as he seemingly went down with a knee injury. After years of partnership, Scout was drawn in and as such, found himself at the mercy of a thumb to the eye and a roll up with held tights.

Winner of the match by pinfall – Guide

Azaria: Guide did his best to prove just how much better than Scout he really is.

Silver: Perhaps, but he had to cheat to beat his former partner.

Rhodes: Hey, a win is a win no matter how it comes.

Azaria: Let’s head to the back where Jasmine is waiting with Nemesis and Jay Darkness.

Hype, Hype and more Hype…

Saunders: Ladies and gentlemen, joining me at this time, John “Nemesis” Campbell and Danny Fonz…

Before she can finish her sentence, the mic is snatched out of her hand as Nemesis steps up close to Jasmine who looks afraid.

Nemesis: My name, is Nemesis, and this…

He points to Jay Darkness who walks into shot.

Nemesis: … Is Jay Darkness.

The crowd boo both men as Jasmine quickly makes her way out of shot.

Nemesis: Stupid little girl…

The boos seem to ripple.

Nemesis: What? You don’t like me anymore? Why am I not surprised? You people are no more fickle sheep, towing the line of what your friends and these puppets that work for TCW want you to think. For the last three years, I’ve had nothing but request after request begging me to come back, begging me to bring back that DaVE magic. “Please Nemesis, come back! Wrestling needs you!” What a crock. Take a look around, DaVE IS back and now you boo us? Why? Because we dared to takeyou’re your hero Ricky Dale Johnson? Because we made your favourite Joey Minnesota turn into a bad man? Because we turned a dancing 70’s fool into a real man? The fact is, you people have no idea what you want.

The sentiment continues to receive a heated reaction.

Nemesis: I’ve sat at home for the last three years and watch TCW screw men who had real promise, real ability against the wall whilst the pampered and preened “Superstars” of TCW continue to flourish. Tommy Cornell, Wolf Hawkins and Ricky Dale Johnson making their names at the expense of Joey Minnesota, Eddie Peak and this man; Jay Darkness. Following the demise of DaVE, one of the most promising talents this business has ever seen was forced into the pre-show matches waltzing to the ring in heart-shaped sunglasses and colourful garb. Look at this man! Does he look like some kind of dancing idiot? He’s a dark warrior, a machine that is willing to put his body on the line for our cause.

Darkness nods along.

Nemesis: And now he’s challenged; challenged by a man who truly wants to get his hands on me. Tommy Cornell, the man who made his name on the back of one single match with me 13 years ago, a man who, on the back of that match became rich, famous and successful; a man who owes me everything and appreciates nothing that I did for him; and he wonders why I knocked his head off his shoulders with that chair. Yet now; now that he can’t get his hands on me he wants to take on the man I am building in my own image. Tommy, do you think that will be symbolic? Do you think that by taking on Jay you’ll have made some kind of statement? Well you’re mistaken; trust me on that. We accept Tommy, we accept your challenge and we’ll see you at The War to Settle the Score. Tonight? Watch what Jay Darkness does to the man who has been created in your own image; see your fate. See your new Nemesis.

Smiling. Nemesis drops the mic and walks out of shot with with a steely-eyed Jay Darkness following behind.

Azaria: Well… It would appear we have another match set for The War to Settle the Score!

Silver: And what a match it will be! Cornell Vs Nemesis’ protégé, it could be very interesting.

Rhodes: Or some kind of death wish; did you see the coldness of Darkness’ eyes!?

Azaria: Well that match is coming up next after some messages from our sponsers.

Wolf Hawkins Vs Jay Darkness

Following a loss to Hawkins last week, Jay Darkness looked to send a statement to Tommy Cornell following his agreement to a match at The War. The two men locked up once more, and much of the match was about one-up-man-ship with both looking to prove their worth to their individual cause. Improving on last weeks performance, it was Jay Darkness that had the longest sustained period of attack with a number of heavy and altogether impactful suplexes that had Hawkins in agony. The match appeared to be over when Jay hit the Darkness Falls Dragon Suplex that he had recently added to his arsenal, only to find Hawkins able to stretch his doubled over foot to a nearby rope. Frustrated by the escape, Darkness attempted to hit the Darkness Falls once more, yet this time Hawkins managed to spin out and take Darkness down with a clothesline. Momentum began to build, ending with Hawkins hitting the Howl at the Moon and making the pin! As the referee hit two, he was pulled to the outside by…

Eddie Peak! Climbing into the ring, Hawkins got back to his feet and managed to fight off Peak for a few moments before the numbers game caught up with him. Darkness whipped Hawkins into the huge Spinebuster that Peak had started to utilize. It was, however, at this moment that the referee came around and called for the bell and in turn the disqualification!

The Winner of the match by disqualification – Wolf Hawkins

Post match, leaving the fallen Hawkins down, Peak and Darkness left the ringside area with their message left for Cornell.

Azaria: Peak making an instant impact on Wolf Hawkins there!

Silver: Could this lead to another Pay Per View matchup?

Rhodes: If the end of this match is anything to go by, it’s probably not a good idea for Hawkins to go down that route.

Azaria: Prehaps; Ladies and gentlemen let’s head backstage to see if we can get some comments from Bryan Vessey on his actions as of late.

Enemies? Friends? Allies?

We head backstage to find Bryan Vessey stood in his lockeroom dressed in casual attire; a pair of jeans and a “Tap or Snap” Bryan Vessey T-shirt. Clearly unhappy with his lack of action tonight, he continues to pass muttering under his breath the words “Respect”, “Punk” and “Revenge”. As he paces, he looks up suddenly, his eyes focused off shot.

Vessey: You have something to say to me?

Into shot steps Troy Tornado, the Rockstar attired in similar jeans but his trademark mesh shirt. The look on his face is that of amusement.

Tornado: What’s with the aggression? I’m here to make you an offer.

Vessey: What kind of offer?

Tornado: To help you get rid of our Benson problem. Neither of us want him here, and neither of us want him to take our spot. On our own, our chances are weakened, together, we’ll be rid of Benson in a heart beat.

Vessey snorts with laughter.

Vessey: My spot? You think this is about losing my spot? Listen to me, Tornado, I’m not worried about my spot. I’m Bryan Vessey, my spot is guaranteed. This is about respect, nothing more, nothing less. You may be worried that Benson can muscle in on your limelight but I’m sure as hell not. You have a problem with Benny Benson? You take it up with him… But you wait till I’m finished. You hear me?

Without waiting for a reply, Vessey pushes past Tornado and out of the lockeroom, clearly motivated to take action in his own hands. As he walks down the corridor, he suddenly falls to the ground. Standing over him was the man with whom he’d just finished conversing. Tornado begins to lay the boots to the fallen Vessey, before a voice calls out.

Voice: HEY! What do you think you’re doing!?

Within seconds, the coloured flash of…

Benny Benson flashes into sight raining punches on Tornado who backs off. Finally, Tornado swings a boot north into Benson’s groin dropping him to the ground. Finally, Tornado makes his escape disappearing out of shot. Vessey is quickly back to his feet, his eyes burning with fury. He spots the fallen Benson and tension builds as he strides over. He reaches down and pulls Benson to his feet, the intensity builds before, without a word, Vessey turns and walks out of shot.

Azaria: Was that a show of respect? Or of mutual dislike for Troy Tornado?

Silver: And will Vessey now move his sights from Benson to Tornado or will he have both in his sights?

Rhodes: And who will survive this battle for place, respect and pride?

Azaria: I can’t wait to find out guys! Let’s head to the ring for our next contest.

DaVE Rules Match

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/RickyDaleJohnson.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/EddiePeak.jpg

Ricky Dale Johnson Vs Eddie Peak

The next contest had been agreed as a “DaVE Rules” match, essentially? Anything goes. The tough Eddie Peak was in his element, yet the normally confident Ricky Dale Johnson looked understandably unsure. His realm was wrestling, not brawling and his opponent was dangerous without weapons. Johnson did his best throughout the match to avoid both use and suffering the effects of weapons, whilst Eddie Peak did little more than break away from the wrestling to garner more dangerous goods for use. It was, however, Johnson’s fastidious use of baseball slides, diversions and “hit and run” style wrestling that kept Peak’s mind on the game. Just when he was about to find something useful under the ring, a slap to the back of the head would drag him back to the ring in a fit of anger. Whilst the angry Shark was dangerous with his hands, keeping him away from weapons was the key. Finally, Johnson frustrated Peak enough for the big man to make a mistake. A big spinebuster was reversed into a DDT and the world held it’s breath. As Johnson picked up the pace, the ever present...

http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TCDaveW/Workers/PhilVibert.jpg

... Phil Vibert appeared at ringside. Sliding a chair into the ring he then managed to distract Johnson allowing Peak to take the chair and smash it into his opponents spine. Leaving the chair in the middle of the ring, Peak then scooped RDJ into the air and hit one of the most impactful spinebusters ever witnessed. Many in attendance surmised that RDJ’s role in fighting the DaVE Alliance would be over. Still lay on top of the steel chair, RDJ fell to an Eddie Peak pinfall.

Winner of the match by pinfall – Eddie Peak

Azaria: That has to be a serious injury, Spinebusters are dangerous at the best of times, but add in Eddie Peak and a Steel chair?

Silver: Eddie Peak looked very dangerous too, this is a worry for TCW.

Rhodes: This is a worry for wrestling! These DaVE guys nearly RUINED this business with their strange ways and means.

Azaria: Ladies and gentlemen, we’re heading now to our final commercial break before our Main Event! Stay where you are, we’ll be right back!

Returning from commercial we head straight back to the ring for our Main Event.

Tommy Cornell Vs Joey Minnesota

Our final match of the evening had been highly anticipated. As such, both men looked confident as they made their way to the ring. Before this match had even begun, the Board of Directors had decreed that ALL outside interference was banned and if any member of TCW or the DaVE Alliance made their presence felt, they would be indefinitely suspended. In the cases of Nemesis and Vibert, their management licences would be revoked and they would be hit with a restraining order. A fair contest was not what Minnesota wanted. As such, he spent the majority of the match staying out of Tommy Cornell’s clutches, sliding out of the ring at every opportunity to break momentum. Cornell did, on a number of occasions, gain the advantage only for Minnesota to hide in the ropes and even on one occasion bailing into the crowd to stay away from his opponent. Rough Justice took it upon himself to play Minnesota’s little game, ending the chase with a couple of minutes of “one slides in, one slides out”. In the end, Cornell outsmarted Minnesota, feigning a slide back out of the ring. As Minnesota slid in, he was met with a number of hard and heavy boots to the back of the head. Several minutes of Cornell control followed with him looking to finish the match at every opportunity. Minnesota once again bailed to the outside of the ring; Cornell dually followed and, as such, entered into his only yet fatal mistake for the evening. As the referees count reached six, Cornell caught Minnesota and hit him with three quick right hands. Backing up for a clothesline, Cornell ran at his opponent who ducked and hit a Back Body Drop onto the announce table! Staggering, Minnesota pulled himself slowly back into the ring as the referee counted to eight. Cornell stirred just in time to hear the nine count and dragged himself off the table to the ground. As the referee counted ten, Minnesota raised his arms in celebration. This celebration, however, was shortlived as Cornell looked to re-enter the ring. As the show came to an end, Minnesota bailed out of the ring and headed back up the ramp still celebrating his tainted victory.

Winner of the match by count out – Joey Minnesota

Azaria: Cornell tastes defeat at the hands of the seemingly unstoppable Joey Minnesota!

Silver: RDJ will have to avoid this type of tactic at The War to Settle The Score!

Rhodes: And Cornell will have to make sure he doesn’t make the same mistake again when he faces Jay Darkness!

Azaria: Thanks for watching ladies and gentlemen, join us next week everyone when we hit the final stop on the road to The War to Settle the Score!
